In this workshop (Master in Translational Medicine-MSc, University of Barcelona's Faculty of Medicine-Hospital Clínic, 25 May 2022) I summarised the benefits which can be gained from use of social media (specially Twitter, blogs and other networks and repositories) to support research activities, and I provided examples of these socialnetwork sites as tools for scientific communication, as well as resources to increase the diffusion, visibility and impact of the scientific production.
