Amazon's recent purchase of digital(online) pharmacy, a
little-known startup in Boston, PillPack could poise it to
capture more customers over the age of 65 who has
around 37 prescriptions per year.
Analysts at Morgan Stanley think this move could increase
Amazon Prime's market reach and result in higher profits.
PillPack is licensed to ship prescriptions in 49 states
and likely booked more than $100 million in revenue last
year.
More than 4 billion prescriptions are ordered in the U.S.
every year. An estimated $300 billion was spent on
prescription drugs by patients, insurance companies and
other parties in 2015.

인지하지 못해 교차로에서 충돌하여 운전자가 사망에 이르는 사고가 2016년 5월
7일에 플로리다에서 일어 남에 따라2), 자율차 도로와 인간이 운전하는 도로를
분리하자는 것임. 아무리 인공지능이라 해도 인간의 행동을 예측할 수 없다는 것임.
갑자기 끼어든다든지 깜빡이를 켜지 않고 차선을 변경한다든지 무단횡단 등 사람의
행동을 예측할 수 없다는 것임.

데이터가 일치하자 운전자는 스위치 라벨을 자율모드
로 넣었고, 그 다음 운전자는 운전자 좌석에서 뒤 좌
석으로 가서 안전벨트를 차고 자율모드 해제의 경고
에 귀 기울였으나 자율트럭은 혼자서 120마일을 달린
것이다.

USA – 드론 통합•수용 촉진 전략 발표(‘16.08.02)
2016년 8월 2일, 미국 백악관의 과학기술정책실(OSTP)은 무인항공시스템(UAS, 드론)을 차세대
국가전략기술(National Initiative)로 추진하는 이른바 ‘무인항공시스템 기술의 잠재성을 신성장
동력기술’로 정하고, 이에 대한 구체적인 ‘정책 설명서: 무인항공시스템의 안전한 통합과 수용을
촉 진 시 키 기 위 한 연 방 • 주 • 공 공 • 학 계 • 산 업 • 민 간 의 새 로 운 약 속 ’ 을 발 표 했 다 . 이 는 현 행
미연방항공청(FAA)의 드론 규정인 (1) ‘시야확보(VLOS or LOS)’에서 ‘시야를 넘어(BVLOS or BLOS)’로
완화하고, (2) ‘한 명의 조종사가 한대의 드론 운영’에서 ‘수백 대의 드론 운영’으로 확대하며, (3) ‘사람
위를 날지 말 것’에서 ‘사람 위를 날아도 됨’으로, 따라서 프라이버시 보호(Privacy safeguard)가
중요하며, (4) 현행 고도 122미터를 전 공역으로 대폭 확대하는 드론의 공역을 국가공역시스템으로
통합하는 것이다. 앞으로 5년 동안인 2020년까지 지속적으로 추진하여 미국인들의 16%가 드론을
사용하도록 하자는 것인데, 드론의 기술수용확산점 혹은 기술확산점(Tipping Point)을 2020년으로 보고
추진하는 것이다.
미국 국제무인기협회(AUVSI, http://www.auvsi.org/)에 따르면 다음 10년 안에 싹트는 상업용 드론은
2025년까지 미국경제에 820억 달러(약 92조원)를 경제를 창출하고 약 10만개의 일자리를 창출할
것으로 예상하고 있다.

The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games is always a
great show, and this year was no exception, with Intel
participating in the fun with a record-breaking performance
of 1,218 Shooting Star drones flying in sync to create
images of iconic and Olympic sports Olympic rings in the
skies over Pyeongchang. Like the drones that flew in Lady
Gaga's Super Bowl half-time show, the unprecedented
1,218 drone flight was not live at the opening ceremony,
it was prerecorded in advance, although a smaller group
of 300 drones made a live appearance at the ceremony.
Intel will also show a 300 drone live show every night at
the medal ceremony, so attendees will have many
opportunities to see the drones in person at the games.
According to Intel and the Guinness Book of Records, the
1,218 drone flight set a record for most unmanned
airborne airborne vehicles at the same time. time, more
than double the 500 drones mark they drove together in a
performance in Germany in 2016.
