1. Many people like to use corn for carp fishing. Some fishermen even think corn is the best bait,
but in fact the bait is chosen according to the situation. No bait is best used anywhere and
anytime.
For example, sweet potatoes for carp fishing here are better than corn. This is not my personal
feeling, it is a very common situation. And this phenomenon also exists in other places. I often
receive messages from fishing friends in the background saying that the carp over there does not
recognizecorn!
There are two ways to use sweet potatoes for carp fishing. One is to cut into pieces after being
cooked and hook directly. The second is to process it and mix it with some bait before using it.
Today I will talk about the difference between the two methods.
Sweet potato cuts and hooks for carp fishing, which is more targeted and has a good effect on
avoiding small fish
If it is cut into pieces and hooked directly, you should be careful not to cook them completely.
Generally, they are just half-cooked. If it is well-done, it is not easy to hook it, and it is easy to fall
off after finally hanging it up and throwing a pole. Even if it does not fall in the air, it cannot resist
the siege of a small fish after entering the water.
The normal suggestion is to boil it to 80 to 80% cooked. What kind of level is it? That is, the hook
will not crack easily after being inserted, and it will not be so easy to powder with a hand pinch.
Even if it is crushed, it will be broken into pieces, rather than directly muddy!
The more fierce the small trash fish is or the bigger the fish you catch, the more the sweet potato
will be grown a little bit, the more raw and harder it is, the smaller fish is relatively difficult to
chew. If there arefew small fish, or if the carp you catchis not too big, cook it slightly.
Partially raw sweet potato pieces have strong hooking properties and are effective in resisting
trash fish nests, but the disadvantage is that fish are not easy to digest (easier to fill up) when
eaten, and the opposite is true for cooked sweet potatoes, so if you plan to use sweet potatoes
for heavy nesting, It's better to be cooked.
Mixed use of sweet potato and other bait, good broad-spectrum, more fish species
If it is to be mixed with other bait, the sweet potato must be cooked thoroughly, peeled and
kneaded after being cooked, and then mixed with other bait.
Some people think that the use of sweet potato hooks is to avoid trash fish. If they are mixed
with bait, they lose their meaning. In fact, this is not the case.
2. Sweet potato is a natural food bait, and it is used as a basis for bait, which is more popular with
wild big fish. Secondly, sweet potatoes are much cheaper than commercial bait. If sweet potatoes
account for more than 50% of the bait, it can save a lot of cost.
Third, wild fishing is rare. Sometimes you can focus on fishing for one type of fish. Air force is very
likely. When sweet potatoes are mixed with commercial bait, the broad spectrum is greatly
improved. Not only carp likes carp, but also crucian carp.
There is another situation I don’t know if you have ever encountered it. Sometimes you use
sweet potato chunks to hook carp directly, but the carp just doesn’t eat it. If you mix the sweet
potato with commercial bait, you can catch it immediately. There is a possibility that the sweet
potato you directly use is too raw, or the fish itself is not very hungry, so choose the food with a
better "taste".
What kind of bait works best with sweet potatoes?
I have done a lot of experiments in this regard, and my personal opinion is as follows: If you catch
a lot of small trash fish and start to besiege the situation when you enter the water, then you can
just hang the sweet potato chunks directly, and don't consider mixing it with bait.
If there are small trash fish in the nest, the situation is not particularly exaggerated, but you want
to avoid it as much as possible, then you must pay attention to the light taste + no atomization,
so it is not to use boiled and crushed sweet potato mash with corn flour Two choices.
Regardless of the simple matching, the effect is really good. There is a reservoir in our village.
There are many miscellaneous fish, including small crucian carp. The general methods are useless.
Sometimes the white wheat ears are avoided but the crucian carp cannot be avoided. I tried to
hang the sweet potato wedges, but the white strips, wheat ears, and small crucian carp are all
avoided, but the key is that the carp does not bite.
Later, I used mashed sweet potatoes and added a lot of corn flour to make the bait very dry and
sticky. Every time I think of it, the effect is very good. Six or seven of the ten rods are filled with
carp, and crucian carp is occasionally served but the size is relatively good. Big, not the kind of
milk crucian carp.
If there are no trash fish nests or only a few white strips will be intercepted in the upper waters,
and the float will be more stable after the end, then in this case we don't need to open the bait
very sticky and light.
I suggest that you can use mashed sweet potatoes + field 918, or bait like crazy fishing crucian
carp, big slab crucian carp, and a nest of crazy, which is the original flavor and grain-scented bait.
3. After all, the temperature in summer is high, and large fish prefer lighter baits. The effect of big
fishy and big incense is not very good. Unless it is some mountain-shaped reservoirs where the
water is relatively cold and the water quality is very thin, this situation can be increased a bit.
Flavor.
The last situation is night fishing. In summer, the effect of fishing during the day is not as good as
night fishing. During the day, the temperature is high and the light is strong. At night, when the
temperature drops, the mouths of small fishes become less, while the larger fishes come to shore
for food.
For fishing at night, I think it’s okay to add a little fishy (if you have a lot of small fish at night,
don’t add fishy). The main fishing carp and big crucian carp, we can use sweet potato as the basic
bait, and then add some snail carp to increase Taste, add a little sticky powder to adjust the hook.
Of course, you can also add other carp bait. Some people said that snail carp is not easy to use
and carp does not eat. In this case, you can try to use Tianxia carp, Yipin carp, and Kuangdao carp
instead. Sweet potato + potato flavor bait can be matched in this way. Don't feel that the flavor is
duplicated. The combination of food bait and commercial bait is not only to blend different
flavors, but the stateis also part of it.
Concluding remarks
In actual fishing, we can use fermented corn to make nests and then hang sweet potatoes for
fishing, or alternatively, we can use sweet potatoes to make nests and then hang corn for fishing.
Lazy fishing friends can buy bags of sweet potato corn from Laotan. Of course, this brand is not
necessary. I just want to say that this nest material is rich in ingredients, including corn, wheat
and sweet potato chunks.
When you get to the fishing position, you can use a nesting spoon to make a half bag, and the
remaining half bag will be used to fill the nest according to the situation. The bait is made of a
larger and harder sweet potato block.
