Your Awareness about your-self
Tests for Self-Awareness#1
If you always have a person inside you, talking to
you all the time and you are not able to ask him/her
Tests for Self-Awareness#2
You read a book and you are able to understand the
English but not the essence that is being conveyed.
Frameworks are important to
“organise thoughts” and give
founders “a sense of direction” in
their startup journey.
“Organisation of thoughts” happen in mind
and most people dont have control
over their own mind.
But dont worry.
Everyone starts at this point.
If you develop self-awareness, you will be
able to control your own mind and body.
If you can control your own mind and body, you
will be able to control other minds and bodies.
Tip: Use your power responsibly for positive
change. If not, it will come and destroy you.

How is self awareness
generated?
A. Natural
B. Practice
Your current image of “your-self” is build using your vision
and hearing, of how other people respond to you.
So when you crack a joke, you look at how people
respond and then you know, if you say something in a
particular way, people will respond in a predictable way.
You have used “feedback” from others to
create your own self image.
A self-aware person is able to give
self-feedback and re-create own image
faster
Remember: Your brain is a very powerful and
advanced billion dollar computer that can self-
upgrade itself.
Reprogramming to upgrade this powerful
super computer brain can be done in as
short as 28 days.
Experiment:1
For the next 28 days, at the end of the day before you sleep,
sit quietly in a chair and rewind the whole day.
You will not only be able to see frame by frame but incredibly,
you will be able to see yourself in that frame.
You can then see everything you did and make
corrections or improvements to how you have responded
to various situations during the day.
Maybe you didn’t have to be too upset or too angry about
a “situation”.
You learn to see the situation, as the
“situation”, with you as an “observer” and
then instead of reacting, to a previous
conditioned response, you can jump back into
the situation and respond appropriately.
All of this happens in micro-seconds,and for the people
who are in the situation, they will notice that you didnt
react, but you responded well to the situation.
This is the first sign of self-awareness.
When “you give feedback to yourself”, your
feedback loop is exponential instead of you
getting a linear feedback from someone else.
Instead of X+X=2X, its X x X = Squared.

Giving and Receiving Personal Feedback
from co-founders
As young founders, giving honest feedback
to team-mates is very important to both
create team chemistry/ bonding between
members and having a team thats constantly
learning and improving itself.
Feedback can be +ve or critical (with
suggestions on how to improve)
Founders who have “Growth Mindset”,
accept the feedback from their trusted
friends and see them as opportunities to
improve themselves faster.
How to give feedback?
1. Start with positives
2. Bring out the negatives.
3. End with reiterating positives

How self-awareness will improve
your startup life by helping you
identify original ideas and
overcoming the fear of failure.
Once you reach a certain threshold of self
awareness, you can conquer the mind: the
pathway to original ideas.
All original ideas come from a
self-aware and curious mind.
Eg: Newton didnt read gravitation
in a book like we did. He read it in
his mind.
You will be able to access higher levels of your
mind.
Level 1: Subconscious - Instinct
Level 2 Conscious - Reasoning, Judgements
Level 3: Superconscious - Insights and original
ideas come from here

“Academics don't want to learn”
Once you learn to do addition
or subtraction, you will be able
to add or subtract any number -
small or large doesn't matter.
Once you learn to build
one product, world-class,
you can then build many
world-class products
Once you learn to build one startup idea
well , you can build any number of startups
Tip: Like a baby takes 9 months, this takes
time so dont over-do this and burn out. Go
with the pace of the programme
Some of you will be able to go very fast -> you will
burn more fuel/life force.
Some of you will go at right speed - fast but fuel
efficient
You will have to find out for
yourself,

learning so that learning is fun.

How to find our your
optimal speed of
learning?
True Learning makes us happy.
The brain rewards by releasing
dopamine - the chemical for happiness.
Your brain knows you have just
upgraded yourself.
So if you are learning at
the right speed, you are
confident and happy.
As the act of learning itself gives
happiness, you dont need any external
reward or motivation.
The action itself is the expression of
happiness, not the desire to achieve “future
happiness” by reaching a goal/target.
People with this personality are
called Autotelic.
They become independent people
who cannot be manipulated by
external rewards or threats.
These founders do their best in
any work and dont attach
themselves to the outcomes,
which they realise are also
dependent on external factors
beyond their control.
Because they are really
non-attached to the result,
they truly conquer the
fear of failure.
These startup founders
are the true entrepreneurs
who follow a mission to
create something of value.

SV.CO Expectation: You will all have greater team
bonding and see improvements in working with each
other.
Read these slides as many times as you
want, as its very dense.
If you don't get everything right now, its ok.
This is an advanced topic so will take time
to make complete sense.

Advanced Startup Framework Self Awareness

  • 2. This is an advanced framework. Usually taught in fifth year of startup.

  • 5. Ans. Self Awareness Your Awareness about your-self
  • 6. Tests for Self-Awareness#1 If you always have a person inside you, talking to you all the time and you are not able to ask him/her
  • 7. Tests for Self-Awareness#2 You read a book and you are able to understand the English but not the essence that is being conveyed.
  • 8. Frameworks are important to “organise thoughts” and give founders “a sense of direction” in their startup journey.
  • 9. “Organisation of thoughts” happen in mind and most people dont have control over their own mind.
  • 10. But dont worry. Everyone starts at this point. If you develop self-awareness, you will be able to control your own mind and body.
  • 11. If you can control your own mind and body, you will be able to control other minds and bodies. Tip: Use your power responsibly for positive change. If not, it will come and destroy you.
  • 12. Part 2/5 How is self awareness generated?
  • 14. Your current image of “your-self” is build using your vision and hearing, of how other people respond to you. So when you crack a joke, you look at how people respond and then you know, if you say something in a particular way, people will respond in a predictable way.
  • 15. You have used “feedback” from others to create your own self image.
  • 16. A self-aware person is able to give self-feedback and re-create own image faster
  • 17. Remember: Your brain is a very powerful and advanced billion dollar computer that can self- upgrade itself.
  • 18. Reprogramming to upgrade this powerful super computer brain can be done in as short as 28 days.
  • 19. Experiment:1 For the next 28 days, at the end of the day before you sleep, sit quietly in a chair and rewind the whole day. You will not only be able to see frame by frame but incredibly, you will be able to see yourself in that frame.
  • 20. You can then see everything you did and make corrections or improvements to how you have responded to various situations during the day.
  • 21. Maybe you didn’t have to be too upset or too angry about a “situation”.
  • 22. You learn to see the situation, as the “situation”, with you as an “observer” and then instead of reacting, to a previous conditioned response, you can jump back into the situation and respond appropriately.
  • 23. All of this happens in micro-seconds,and for the people who are in the situation, they will notice that you didnt react, but you responded well to the situation. This is the first sign of self-awareness.
  • 24. When “you give feedback to yourself”, your feedback loop is exponential instead of you getting a linear feedback from someone else. Instead of X+X=2X, its X x X = Squared.

  • 27. As young founders, giving honest feedback to team-mates is very important to both create team chemistry/ bonding between members and having a team thats constantly learning and improving itself.
  • 28. Feedback can be +ve or critical (with suggestions on how to improve)
  • 29. Founders who have “Growth Mindset”, accept the feedback from their trusted friends and see them as opportunities to improve themselves faster.
  • 30. How to give feedback? 1. Start with positives 2. Bring out the negatives. 3. End with reiterating positives
  • 31. Frequency of Feedback Compliments on good work - Everyday Work Targets - Once a week Personal Feedback - Once a month
  • 32. Part 3/5 How self-awareness will improve your startup life by helping you identify original ideas and overcoming the fear of failure.
  • 33. Once you reach a certain threshold of self awareness, you can conquer the mind: the pathway to original ideas.
  • 34. All original ideas come from a self-aware and curious mind. Eg: Newton didnt read gravitation in a book like we did. He read it in his mind.
  • 35. You will be able to access higher levels of your mind. Level 1: Subconscious - Instinct Level 2 Conscious - Reasoning, Judgements Level 3: Superconscious - Insights and original ideas come from here
  • 36. Eg: Insight on which SV.CO is build “Academics don't want to learn”
  • 37. Once you learn to do addition or subtraction, you will be able to add or subtract any number - small or large doesn't matter.
  • 38. Once you learn to build one product, world-class, you can then build many world-class products
  • 39. Once you learn to build one startup idea well , you can build any number of startups Tip: Like a baby takes 9 months, this takes time so dont over-do this and burn out. Go with the pace of the programme
  • 40. Some of you will be able to go very fast -> you will burn more fuel/life force. Some of you will go at right speed - fast but fuel efficient
  • 41. You will have to find out for yourself, whats your optimal speed of learning so that learning is fun.
  • 42. Part 4/5 How to find our your optimal speed of learning?
  • 43. True Learning makes us happy. The brain rewards by releasing dopamine - the chemical for happiness. Your brain knows you have just upgraded yourself.
  • 44. So if you are learning at the right speed, you are confident and happy.
  • 45. As the act of learning itself gives happiness, you dont need any external reward or motivation. The action itself is the expression of happiness, not the desire to achieve “future happiness” by reaching a goal/target.
  • 46. People with this personality are called Autotelic. They become independent people who cannot be manipulated by external rewards or threats.
  • 47. These founders do their best in any work and dont attach themselves to the outcomes, which they realise are also dependent on external factors beyond their control.
  • 48. Because they are really non-attached to the result, they truly conquer the fear of failure.
  • 49. These startup founders are the true entrepreneurs who follow a mission to create something of value.
