Pages vs. Groups Groups Pages www.facebook.com/groups/create.php Administrators are publicly known and profiles are viewable Posts do not appear on members’ Walls Cannot host applications More flexibility with permissions and privacy www.facebook.com/pages/create.php Names and profiles of administrators are not publicly viewable Looks and works almost exactly like a personal profile Can use applications, add pictures, add links, etc. Lower levels of privacy

Building Your Audience Email invitations Add a Facebook badge or fan box to your website (www.facebook.com/facebook-widgets/index.php) Add a “share” button to your blog or website (requires a bit more knowledge of coding) Add a link to your email signature (In Outlook: Tools Options Mail format Signatures)
16. Improving Attendance at Career Center Events Create Events on your page. Include pictures and leave open for comments. Use Administrator Tools (in Edit Page menu) to send updates to your followers of events, deadlines, etc. Encourage staff, students, and other followers of your page to “Like” postings, make comments, and “Share” on their own page.
