4. Can you create scalable solutions to help
decision makers use data intelligence?
Most often than not, decision-makers at every level and form of the government are either crunched for time or don't
have the support they need to use data. They end up digging through government files, printing tons of reports, and
highlighting data points, which still doesn't give them all the data they need.

8. What is data intelligence?
How does it impact decision-making?
Data intelligence is the process of transforming all available data — collected from the ground up, sourced from
external data sets, and extracted from elaborate internal systems — into intelligent insights that make the best
decision crystal clear.

9. 1. Gather Internal Data
First, you use the data you already have – your own
preferences and past experiences about different phones.
2. Add External Data
Next you search for external data on the internet – prices
of other phones in the market, reviews, features.
3. Find Data to Fill Gaps
You might go to a store and check out how a certain
phone looks, or talk to friends who have the phones
you’re thinking of buying.
4. Process the Data
Since you have lots of data, it's important to bring it all
together. You sort through the data, discard what’s
irrelevant, and weigh the pros and cons.
5. Make a Decision
Finally, you use all the data to come to a final decision —
the phone you want to buy.
Data intelligence mimics how your brain naturally makes a decision.
Imagine you want to buy a mobile phone.
How would you use data to figure out what phone to buy?
