The House At The Brink Of Tears
(BREAK)
She stood on the porch of the Sawada house at the brink of tears. She was really going to miss this
place. It brought by so many memories that came at Kairi relentlessly, and suddenly she wasn t so sure
if she wanted to leave.
The female Hibari made a deal with her brother. She could go around and do whatever she wanted
unsupervised after he finishes cleaning up the filth left in Nanimori. Kyoya may have gotten rid of the
threat in the compound, but there was still chaos elsewhere in the city. It was only after that was done,
that Kairi could gallop around and do what she wanted.
There was a condition though. Kairi had to come back and live with him back in the estate, he
practically stressed the idea. At first, the female ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kairi turned around and left the house before it engulfed her even more. The female Hibari walked
past the gates and into a sleek black car that lead her back into the Hibari estate.

Tsunayoshi
The school year started again and Tsuna had yet to see her.
It was strange not waking up and not hearing her voice. Ever since they watched the sunrise together,
it had been their thing to continue on the tradition everyday. It had been odd to watch it alone because
he was so used to seeing her there, hearing her voice, smelling the strong scent of the coconut
shampoo she always used, or feeling the soft brushes of her long hair when they would walk together.
The memory of her was fading and Tsuna was scared that it will be gone forever. He doesn t know
when he ll see her again, and all he has left was her memory. But the weeks passed by quickly enough
and the strength of each memory was slowly dying. He started to forget the sound of her voice, or the
look on her face as she grinned at him, or the way that her face changed whenever they watched anime
together. He was forgetting and that was the scariest part.
She barely touched his life and Kairi was already a big part of it. The female Hibari showed him a
different perspective of the world, and being with he was so much fun. They were friends and Tsuna
and the audacity to start forgetting her.
Strangely enough, Tsuna saw more of Hibari or rather his followers than he expected. The

Iceland s Impact On The Economy
. Iceland had a shorter, less severe recession after its banking crises than did Ireland. The most
prominent difference is their exchange rate regimes. Iceland s flexible exchange rate allowed Icelandic
government to come up with rapid resolution of its banking crisis without bailing out creditors.
Iceland s combination of a flexible exchange rate and a policy of closing its failed banks appears to
have served the country well in the aftermath of the financial crisis.
Banking crises in Iceland and Ireland came to a head at the height of the financial crisis in September
and October 2008. These countries took quite different approaches in dealing with these difficulties.
Ireland and Iceland are small island countries with many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A substantial part of the expansion of the banks loan portfolios were loans collateralized by Icelandic
corporate stock. As a result, the value of Icelandic stock was an important determinant of the value of
the banks loans and, therefore, assets. The value of shares rose and then peaked in mid July 2007. By
July 2008, share prices had fallen to less than half their value at the peak. This loss in collateral value
naturally called into question the probability of lenders being able to repay their loans.
The expansion of banking in Iceland reflected growth of both domestic and foreign deposits. Banks in
Iceland opened branch offices in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands to gather deposits there.
They also expanded by acquiring other institutions.
The banks increased their funding by obtaining short term loans from other financial institutions for
example, money market funds in the United States. Such funding from other financial intermediaries
is often called wholesale funding. A risk of wholesale funding is rollover risk lenders may decide not
to roll over these short term loans when they mature, especially if they become concerned about the
borrower s solvency.
At the time, Icelandic banks were acquiring funds in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the
euro area each with a different currency, and all with a different currency than the Icelandic krĂłna. As
a result of this borrowing in other currencies, Icelandic banks were subject

The Development Of The Communist Manifesto In The European
The development of the communist manifesto in the European region has led to the influencing of the
different structures present in the area. The communist manifesto has resulted in the formation of holy
alliances in the European region. It is due to the effects of the Manifesto that Marx developed the
journal to address the issue. The importance of this journal is to highlight the sociological problems
that have resulted from the manifesto. The fact that the manifesto has been highlighted by the
European powers to be a force that influences the activities conducted in the region. This paper thus
seeks to highlight important aspects that will be incorporated in the analysis of the communist
manifesto developed by Marx and its significance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through bourgeoisie, which incorporated the serfs and the middle ages, there were developed cities in
the ancient times that have developed to be the modern day cities. It is from the effects of communism
that America was discovered and the rounding of the Cape (Marx, Fredrick, 4). This in return provided
an opportunity for the growth and development of the bourgeoisie. In line with the journal, the
communist manifesto also brought about the development of the markets in the far Asian regions of
China. This accelerated industrialization in the region due to the need to increase production of
finished goods for the general population.
As a result of the population pressure witnessed in the European region, industrial developments were
monopolized and thus their production was insufficient to cater for the ever growing population
pressure in the European region. It was due to this that there was the need to revolutionize machinery
to cater for the production. This led to the improvements if the type of engines from steam engines to
modern systems of machinery that would produce sufficient goods for the public. The development of
modern forms of the market as described by Marx led to the establishment of the global markets. The
market developed was grown by the rapid developments witnessed in commerce, formal means of
communication through land and the improvements in the navigation

Group Role Research Paper
Group Role Paper In this reflection paper I will take the time to share what I ve experienced with my
group and how it applies to some of the concepts learned in class concerning Group Member
Participation. The experience being shared is from the first Gaucho Games: INNOVATION TEST,
were the activity is led by the groundkeepers. Tasked with planning and building a tower out of
Popsicle sticks, glue and rubber bands in 30minutes. I was a member of The House of Ele which was
placed last in the competition. First off, throughout the process I see myself as many things. Some of
the roles my group members took were Leader/Coordinator, Follower, Recourse Investigator,
Specialist, and Innovator. As the game and planning fazes went on I really saw how the roles chosen

go around the rules but I ignored it. When my group decided to build from the roof down to the floor I
decided to be a critic, realizing we have too many ideas flowing. I confronted the group asking if the
idea might go against the rules. The other members contested that it ll be alright and settled their
minds on a plan to good to be true. Being the only member to disagree I had to agreeing ly

Dr. Stefan Stefanoski
Overview of the Material Properties and RE Application for Cu(In,Ga)Se2
Introduction and Historical Notes
I have chosen to review the material properties and applications for the compound semiconductor
copper indium gallium selenide as it is used in photovoltaic cells. A chalcopyrite based material, the
chemical formula is often written as CuIn1 xGaxSe2 (CIGS) to represent the alloy system where the
stoichiometric ratio of the compound can vary from pure CuInSe2 (CIS) to CuGaSe2 (CGS). For the
purposes of this document, however, the entire range of combinations will simply be referred to as
CIGS. I selected this material for a few reasons. I am fascinated with ... Show more content on

This document, however, will provide a much more general and top level view of the material
properties.
The first chalcopyrite solar cells were reported by Wagner et al. in 1974 when a 12% efficient cell was
created based on single crystal CuInSe2 absorber. [1] Later, Kazmerski et al. demonstrated that a thin
film solar cell could be created by an evaporation process. [2] Commercial CIGS modules were not
produced, however, for another 20 years. Since that time the material has been continuously studied
and improved. Ga was added to stabilize the p type conductivity and increase the band gap. It was also
discovered that the addition of Na, either through the use of soda lime glass substrate or added during
the growth process, helps to boost the conductivity of the material and control the film growth and
free carrier concentration. [2] As of 2014, the record for CIGS efficiency demonstrated in a laboratory
setting was held by researchers at Stuttgart s Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW),
for their achievement of a 21.7% efficient cell. [3] As of May 2015, the Taiwanese company TSMC
Solar has reported the highest efficiency module that is commercially available with a rating of 16.5%.

The Argument On The Theory Of Utilitarianism
Mill has the view that there is a general misconception regarding the use of the term Utilitarianism.
Most people refer to it when comparing between wrong and right in a restricted manner that is
divergent to pleasure. The opponents of utilitarianism often attach everything with the element of
pleasure; thus, contributing to denouncing the theory. However, the proponents of the theory of
utilitarianism such as Epicurus and Bentham asserted that it was pleasure in itself and the exclusion of
pain. Therefore, the morality principle of utility, which is also referred to as the greatest happiness
principle maintains that actions are justified to be right when they produce positive results that are
associated with happiness. On the contrary, actions are wrong when they are linked to the negative
outcome that tends to suppress happiness. Happiness refers to the absence of pain when there is
pleasure, while unhappiness is characterized by pain and lack of pleasure. Basing on the theory of
utilitarianism, morality is founded on human activities that are aimed to promote happiness and
pleasure as well as suppress pain. That is, humans desire the end of an action to be pleasure.
Mill talks about the various priorities that are related to pleasure, which human beings possess. He
illustrates the view by stating that, I have dwelt on this point as being a necessary part of perfectly just
conception of utility or happiness considered the directive rule of human conduct (p:11). For

Case Study Of Significant Variances In Healthcare
Upon reviewing the most recent budget at my place of employment, I did not note any significant
variances in the budget. As a nurse manager discovering a large variance in the budget my first instinct
would be to investigate. I would want to determine the following: Which category is my variance
occurring in? What was the situation? How did it occur? Is this a trend? Is it possible to regain some
control or recover any portion of this money? Upon answering these questions I would then review the
situation at hand. I would continue to monitor the budget closely and watch for additional variances.
Sometimes one may need to rewrite the budget to assist with the budget losses. According to the

The Grateful Dead And LSD In The 1970 s
The late 1960 s and early 1970 s was a time of intense political change and shifting worldviews,
especially in the Bay Area. Particularly, the summer of 1967, nicknamed the Summer of Love, had
widespread political impacts, even though that was not the intention for some participants. With the
emergence of LSD and new optimistic, loving mindsets, hippie culture shaped peoples actions in
regards to prominent issues in the years following, such as the Vietnam War and the War on Drugs.
This paper will explore how the Grateful Dead influenced and adapted ideas from this time period.
Despite the band s self proclaimed apolitical stance, the Grateful Dead inadvertently influenced the

As more people encountered the Grateful Dead and the Acid Tests, more people wanted to join in on
the group mind, thus growing the use of LSD. The Grateful Dead were not famous when they began
playing the Acid Tests, but as LSD and the Acid Tests grew in popularity, the band s own popularity
grew with them. The members of the band itself had not used psychedelics (other than marijuana)
before they started playing at the Acid Tests, but they quickly became immersed in the culture thanks
to those around them. Owsley Stanley, a Grateful Dead soundman and underground chemist, would
synthesize his own LSD to give out free samples outside of Grateful Dead concerts so no one felt left
out of the experience (Gitlin). Pairing LSD with music was all anyone ever knew because of the Acid
Tests and made the experience what it was. Michael J. Kramer describes the culture surrounding the
Grateful Dead in his book The Republic of Rock as, a way for strangers to establish bonds of
affiliation and connection through risk taking particularly through drug use and electronically
generated chaos (Kramer 35). The Acid Tests reflected a popular opposition to the mainstream. LSD
was marketed as a daring, exciting substance and more people became eager to try it, especially
alongside the Grateful Dead. This direct pairing of the band with drugs through the Acid Tests is the
first way that the Grateful Dead directly influenced the proliferation of LSD and continued to do so
even as political views began to be associated with the

Case Study Of The Melamine Milk Crisis In China
Preventative crises occur again and again for various reasons. One of the main reasons is because
managers and top level business executives desire for profits without regard to sound moral principles
(Crandall, Parnell, Spillan, 2014). Unfortunately, this in itself can trigger an organizational crisis. This
problem appears in many forms, but the results are usually the same: an organizational crisis of some
type, stakeholders who have been hurt, and prevention that would have cost pennies in comparison to
the damage done (Crandall et al., 2014). A classic case of unethical decision making and lack of crisis
management concerns the Melamine Milk Crisis in China.
This case begins with a Chinese company, the Sanlu Group, who was purchasing milk for use in its
baby formula. Over time employees of the Sanlu Group discovered the milk their company was
purchasing, was tainted with melamine (Crandall et al., 2014). Melamine is a product generally used
to make plastics and laminates. Unfortunately, management personnel working for the Sanlu Group
was unaware of the tainted substance being illegally added to the milk. However, the melamine
product is a life threatening product that can cause kidney stones and renal failure once it is consumed.
Although the melamine boosted the protein rating of the milk, it was illegally added to the milk
(Crandall et al., 2014).
Still unaware of the danger the melamine laced milk was causing to infants, the Sanlu Group
continued to purchase the

Pseudonymous Writing
Introduction: Pseudonymous Writing in the Ancient and Present Times Pseudopigrapha is a type of
writing where the author uses a different name for several purposes. It has been practiced in numerous
educational disciplines. In the earlier part of history, there are two types of pseudonymous writing that
was employed. The first type is when the author uses an assumed name to remain anonymous and the
second type is when an author uses the name of another author. The pseudonymous writing is widely
used for varied reasons, mostly with honest intentions. The second type of pseudopigrapha is known
as forgery, and through the course of history, its definition and function has evolved. In ancient times,
forgery is an honorable practice of writing, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, several factors have to be considered. The considerations are needed to be put in place is to
put forgery in the accurate context. In the ancient times when copyright laws are not yet enforced,
forgery is an acceptable practice. Taussig argued that committing forgery is not rooted in fraudulence
but inferred as an honorable convention. Further, Ehrman synthesized the use of forgery to empower
the teachings of an influential individual, synonymous to Paul s clout in the early Christianity. Having
these occurrences in mind, we can then maintain the trustworthiness of the Deutero Pauline Epistles in
the same value as we put on the epistles that were penned by Paul himself. Learning these cogitations,
it is important that we look at the message of the epistles and its significance in the formation of the
faith tradition. Although the abovementioned epistles are written by different individuals (other than
Paul), they have augmented the theology that was taught by Paul. The epistles were written in the
context of the audiences that they were intended, because of this, forgery did not connote any negative
feedback on its teachings. In this light then, it more important to focus on the message that Deutero
Pauline Epistles convey than to look at

Predation Vs Parasitism
In the comparison of the types of two species interactions, Predation and Parasitism are the most
similar by far, since both of them have a +/ interaction pattern, where one part benefits and one is
taken from. Examples of Predation would be a fox hunting a rabbit, as the fox benefits by gaining
food and the rabbit is disadvantaged by dying, or being seriously/ fatally injured; another example
would be a cheetah hunting an antelope in the same respects of the fox and the rabbit. Good examples
of Parasitism, would be bacterias in an organism, or a mosquito drawing blood from an animal. With
bacteria, it benefits by taking the resources that the host organism needs, as the host doesn t benefit by
their resources being used by the bacteria. In

A discourse community is a group of people that act the same way, this can occur in a school, in a

or have stressful or bad days. We all get those. Service dogs are beneficial to the world and save lives,
you should not be able to just order a kit off the Internet to license your dog to be a service dog. Lives
are at risk and its wrong to mock the need of a service dog.
The beginnings of therapy dog programs started in World War II with a yorkshire named Smoky. The
first systematic use of therapy dogs is attributed to Elaine Smith. Smith noticed how well people
responded to their dog and that a trained dog could help people with medical needs. By the time 1976
came around, Smith opened a program for training dogs to visit institutions and these programs started
to grow.
There are 3 different types of service dogs people can have: Emotional Support Animals, Therapy
Animals, and Service Animals. Emotional Support Animals have one task and that is to provide
comfort and support, emotionally, to someone who needs it and has a documented health condition.
Therapy Animals are registered through an agency and their purpose is to provide therapeutic value to
those who need it. Service animals are trained to perform tasks the owner simply cannot do on their
own, guiding blind people, detecting seizures, helping people who have lost legs or arms.
Not any dog can just be a service dog. The dogs take almost up to a year to train! A service dog has to
learn behaviors to help whoever the dog is supposed to help. Some examples of what they need to do
is call 911, answer a doorbell, bring water for medications or provide a

The Issue Of A Constitutional Convention
Danny Chasteen and Susan Rick thought that they had finally gotten their big break when they won
$250,000 from the Illinois lottery. But, because the Illinois budget had not passed, they received
nothing but a cold promise. No, the lottery situation is not the most pressing problem facing our
government, it is merely a trivial outgrowth of a bigger problem: political gridlock in the state
legislature. A large majority of the citizens of Illinois are exasperated with the government, and they
have the right to be, but a Constitutional Convention is not going to fix any of our problems. Every
state has its own dilemmas, and these issues can be solved through the everyday political process. A
Constitutional Convention is simply not necessary, when the Constitution itself is not what is holding
back the Illinois State government.
What could possibly be the purpose of a Constitutional Convention? Is it to change provisions on the
state budget, income tax, or even school funding? All of these subjects can be focused on individually,
and changed through the already present amendment procedures. In fact most of the Constitution itself
can be changed through this existing political process. The Constitution is a living breathing document
that is meant to change as its environment changes, which is the specific purpose of amendments.
Each provision should be dealt with individually, so as to bring more attention to that specific
problem. For instance, school budgeting or pension reform

Schools and Uniforms
School Uniforms Uniforms in schools are a big debate around the world. Should we have uniforms in
schools? The answer is yes because uniform help the schools. They bring to table a great deal of help
because students are getting bullied, killed, and some may not have as much as other when shopping
for clothes. Having uniforms bring safety to schools and what goes on after school. Why do we need
uniforms? Most student have their own style, but a common argument against school uniforms is that
they take away the students right to show their sense of style, creativity and culture. Yes, school
uniforms may limit what the students have to wear, but he/she can still have their own ways of self
expression in many forms. Students can still express their style of choice by what shoes they pick,
color of the shoe laces, how he or she styles their hair, what accessories they add, jacket they wear or
socks; there are many ways. Uniforms are still versatile where they will not be breaking the dress code
policy the school has set. Just because a student can t wear the most latest Polo ,Lacrosse , or Hollister
shirt or jeans to school doesn t mean that his/her rights are taken away. School should be a place
where Children come to learn, not to scope out the latest fashion trend. Outside of school, kids can
wear and show off their unique sense of style. (A great deal of conjecture has been devoted to the
relationship between the implementation of school uniform policies and some

Animals and Humans Are Not Equal Essay
Animals and Humans Are Not Equal
Franklin was a vegetarian in his youth, believing that killing animals was a kind of unprovok d
Murder. Later, however, Franklin was tempted by the smell of fish being fried. Having seen small fish
in the stomachs of fish being prepared, he decided he could eat them if they ate each other. If animals
eat other animals to sustain life, animals must be an excellent source of food. Meat contains many
vitamins.
Animals will have rights when they have the means to enforce them. They don t have the ability to
reason as humans do. The human race has such a vast understanding of the necessities for all of the
different species of animals to exist. Humans are far superior to any other animal because ... Show

Something worth consideration is that humans are the only ones who seem to complain about the
conditions. Animals are under some stress when they get there, but soon they adapt to the new life
well. Farm animals are adaptable in this way. When animals are stressed out they won t eat or drink,
thus, the animals in factory farms aren t under a great deal stress. As for disease, antibiotics are always
plentiful.
Medicine is another subject of much dispute. Antibiotics are used frequently in livestock to treat many
illnesses. Activists find this very troubling, saying antibiotics cause antibiotic resistant strains of
pneumonia, childhood meningitis, gonorrhea, salmonella, and other serious illnesses. They also
include that, 9,000 Americans die annually from food borne illness and an estimated 80 million others
fall ill. These numbers looks huge but because this article is found in the pro vegetertianism section,
people associate these figures with eating meat. They subsequentlyleave out ho many of the 9,000
people die of pesticides on vegetables. As for the antibiotics all of them have a withholding period. A
withholding period is a set time period in which an animal receives and antibiotic, can t be butchered
for meat. This is so the residue of antibiotics is out of the meat. Most antibiotics anymore are not
given intermuscular, but subcutaneously (or just under the skin)

Definition Of Professionalism, Within And Early Childhood...
The articles I chose are ones that speak to what the definition of professionalism is, within and early
childhood educator (ECE) setting. This is critical because if there is a broad spectrum of definitions it
may work against being accepted as a profession. All the articles speak to how they believe
professionalism should look as an ECE and how the workers themselves feel about it. The articles
address how can we make the profession concrete and admissible and each have their own takes on
what a profession is and what that means.
Article 1
The first article I read spoke to what is expected from ECE s and how they view themselves as
professionals. It also addresses the difficulty in defining what an ECE needs to be because of the
children involved. Wisdom is needed and is key to working with children for the long term and the
article address, how do you convey this? There needs to be a presence when working with children,
that you are there to care for them, but you also know what you are doing. How do you define that in
terms of a profession? Most of the ECE s who reported what they believed made them professional,
reported aspects that reflected themselves as a person. The article highlights the difference in
responses from the participants, and also how each response is valid. The article moves towards the fat
that professionalism within the workplace is a balance of experience and schooling spread between the
workers.

The Mental Health Costs Of Academic Success
Every year around forty kids will take their lives over the stress that school and parents have put on
them to succeed. As a society we put too much pressure on the shoulders of our youth to succeed in all
aspects of their lives, and in doing so we are causing mental and emotional harm to them. Our children
are the future of this country, however, they are still children who need to grow and develop into
adults. By putting a tremendous amount of pressure on students to succeed in anything and everything
in their lives, we are damaging them from growing up and expanding their horizons to seek out
knowledge for themselves. One awful damaging effect of this stress is that too much of it piling onto
our youth can cause them to self harm or even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The hypervigilance of parents where they dictate everything that their child does actually does damage
to the child because it stunts the development of internal motivation in these students (Margolies,
2016). If my parents had told me what clubs to be in, what sports to do, what classes to take, and what
homework to do at what time then I never would have developed the motivation to choose for myself.
It would have actually made me less capable of choosing things for myself, thus causing more stress
in my life as more responsibility would fall on me as my schooling continues. The other dangerous
way that this forced culture of perfectionism damages these youths is when they seem to be the perfect
student, excelling in their studies in high school, and then without this constant support they crash in
college and can quickly spiral out of control, not knowing how to handle this new stress as they no
longer have the hypervigilance or the praise of their parents to keep them going. Helicopter parents
think that by controlling these aspects of their child s life will benefit them and create the best possible
outcome for them. This is very obviously false as it is creating the situation of a severely
underdeveloped child. There is really no reason for our youths to become damaged over this
overbearing amount of stress, as a society we need to help out

Money, Money, Money
America is recognized as a place where if you work hard enough you can become wealthy. In fact, the
U.S. has more millionaires than any other country in the world. However, for all that prosperity, the
gap between rich and poor has always been large. People have been attempting to fix this inequality
for over a century now. Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish immigrant who became the second richest man in
America by dominating the steel industry, and Terence V. Powderly, an American attorney, labor union
leader, politician, and best known as head of the Knights of Labor, were among the first to propose
solutions. Carnegie s idea, called The Gospel of Wealth, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The former thought that money should be in the hands of the wealthy, who were in his mind better
equipped to handle it. Carnegie also argued against the wasteful use of capital in the form of
extravagance or self indulgence, instead, promoting philanthropy. As a result, the wealthy would
administer their riches beneficially and not in a way that encourages the slothful, the drunken, the
unworthy (Carnegie). Meanwhile, Powderly argued that the masses should have the possibility of
bettering their own lives. Through the common man s access to money, Powderly believed that they
could achieve not only better living conditions, but a happier society in general, all while decreasing
the ever growing gap between the rich and the poor (Powderly). While Carnegie s idea of the wealthy
providing a better society for the underdog is appealing, Powderly s idea of a level playing field is
more realistic and should be used in order to deal with the phenomenon of wealth

Ethics, Sexual Harassment, And Bullying
I felt very connected to this week s discussions, not because I ve personally been involved in
discrimination, sexual harassment, or bullying but because I spent a lot of time managing through
these issues when I worked as an Operations Manager for Borders, Inc. At any given time I had ~250
employees and managers in a distribution center reporting to me on three shifts, six days a week. It
was rare that I didn t have some pending issue that required a Human Resources perspective and these
issues were very common themes. I ve never understood why someone would choose to expend
energy on any of these actions but always considered my role as one that could protect others when it
did occur. As we ve discussed, having established policies that are frequently communicated allows
employers to react swiftly to correct any issues that arise. This was the case when I worked at Borders
and it is today at HCA so I feel comfortable everything possible is being done to discourage and
prevent these actions from occurring. Privacy is a very touchy subject these days and the knife seems

hand, the privacy of consumer information becomes a bigger concern every day as companies are

At first the rat would run up blind alleys in the maze but with experience it gradually learned how to
negotiate the maze to find the food more quickly.
Behaviourists like Skinner believed that the principles involved in these learning processes were
applicable to people and underpin complex human behaviour. Skinner proposed that behaviour
changes as a result of its consequences and that behaviour is also reinforced by reward. Behaviour that
is reinforced will also increase in frequency Skinner suggested. Similarly, he argued, negative
reinforcement works in the same way as positive re inforcement. For example, if a loud noise is made
every time a rat pokes its nose through its cage, the rat would stop doing it. He promoted the idea that
as humans are just another species, giving praise for desirable behaviour in a child would reinforce
that behaviour in the same way that getting food by pressing a lever in a box would reinforce
behaviour in a rat.
Skinner went further by suggesting that there is no such thing as free will; he called it the principle of
determinism, the assertion that all human behaviour is determined by what went before. Skinner s
hypotheses created widespread debate amongst psychologists and not surprisingly, his critics pointed
out that humans are very different to animals and that results from experiments conducted on rats in a
laboratory couldn t just be applied to human behaviour. Behaviourist critics reasoned

Visual Search Case Studies
1.) Visual Search In this activity I participated in a classic psychological experiment that uses visual
search tasks to explore fundamental process of visual perception and attention. In general I learned
that selective attention filters enable us to make more automatic decisions about the stimuli around us,
including which items to pay attention to during a visual search. Also, since your brain is always
active and sees visual sights and sensory information, your mind copes by automatically screening or
filtering incoming sensory information to let in only what is most important. Specifically, I learned
that the first set of trials I did were the feature search part of the experience and the second set of trials
were the conjunction search part of the experience. What I learned about my self after doing this
activity is that I had a quick reaction time on the first set of trials as I was asked to find a blue circle
amid orange squares and circles. But, on the second set of trials my reaction time was not as quick as
it first was. On the second set of trials, I was asked to find the blue circle amid blue squares and
orange circles. I believe my reaction time was quicker on the first set of trials due to the fact that I was
just looking for the color blue among orange squares and circles, but on the second set of trials I was
looking for a blue circle among blue squares and orange squares. Therefore, the blue squares were
distractors from the blue circle and I was forced

Analysis Of To Pimp A Butterfly, By Kendrick Lamar
Introduction
For centuries, rap has been used as a tool of expression of art. Capitalism and its oppressive qualities
have forced the oppressed class to use it as a way to vent their anger and seek justice or liberation. Rap
is a form of hip hop and can be used to express real life experiences or issue like violence, poverty and
the social and institutional discrimination experienced in America. When referring to rap in this study,
its specifically, discussing political rap or gangster rap lyrics . Notably, rap has been used throughout

sources that focus on black identity, reputations of rap music, and resistance to institutional injustice.
These all will relate to how Lamar is portraying those that are subjugated by systematic political and
social oppression through his context lyrics. The second section will present the research methodology

Is The Internet Making Us Lazy Research Paper
Isn t it ironic that the internet has negative effects on us? Shouldn t the internet be making us smarter
and more intelligent? How the internet affects us depends on the way we use it. There are different
ways we use the internet but it is mainly for help on something. There is a cheating kind of help and a
research kind of help. Using the internet to copy answers for homework leads to misuse and therefore
has a negative effect on us. However, using the internet for research for a project is helpful: people
actually learn something. Even though the internet may tend to have more negative than positive
effects, both contribute to the changing sociological effects caused by the internet.
Since people are using the internet more than ever, it leads to a loss of focus on other tasks such as

organization. The area of focus can be broken down into 3, behavior, management system, and
process. For any change to be sustainable, the people s behavior has to be such that can support it.
People s behavior and mindset has to change, everybody has to contribute regardless of what level of
organization. The management system piece is also a key because of the impact of management
support that is needed to promote operation excellence within an organization. Process is where it
directly impacts the product. It has to be improved to meet a best in class standard, either by line
balancing, implementing a lean flow, or by other form of improvement (Duggan, 2011). Every
employee involved should be able to see the value flow from the organization to the customer and vice
versa. Some industries struggle in their implementation of operation excellence. For a successful
implementation, there has to be a right definition, one that every employee at every level of the
organization understand what it means and how their role impacts it. As much as operation excellence
shows a lot of positive

Sir Gawain And Rick Similarities
Sir Gawain and Rick from the show Rick and Morty are both protagonists and have many differences
and similarities. Sir Gawain is very courageous and loves his king, King Arthur. Sir Gawain also has a
sense of chivalry, by facing the Green Knight and defending his knights of the round table. In the
other hand, Rick is rude and shows hate towards his friends and enemies. Rick likes violence, and
Gawain likes peace. Gawain keeps the code of chivalry by being polite, friendly, benevolent, and
amiable. On the contrary, Rick has an egocentric attitude and is more careless of what others think of
him. Rick always has a sidekick with him in every adventure he embarks in, Gawain does not. Gawain
takes pride in himself more than Rick, his reaction to

Disparate Faith Traditions
The various differences of doctrine and dogma between faith traditions are often a stumbling block for
non believers, causing them to wonder how it can be said that any one religion has is correct if there
are such a plethora of them. This essay has hopefully alleviated that stumbling block to some degree,
although no written work will ever have the capacity to remove it entirely. It has been shown that
despite the immensely different beliefs that are held by the Buddhist and Catholic traditions, there is a
surprisingly large amount of common ground in the realm of practice. While Catholics believe in a
supremely good, powerful, and knowledgeable God, Buddhists have varying beliefs about divinity.
While Buddhists firmly assert that there is no real, inner self within each individual, Catholics believe
in an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This essay is far from exhaustive in the realm of shared practices between the faiths. If this
inexplicable agreement is not enough to reassure those who are experiencing doubt that there must be
some underlying truth that has led these disparate faith traditions to such similar conclusions about
practice, then there is nothing that will reassure such doubt. In addition to those doubting that there
can be any discernable or trustworthy truth found in religions, this notable set of points of agreement
should serve to reassure the adherents of both faith traditions. Just as in common speech it is
reassuring to hear that someone agrees with you after they have put significant thought into the topic
at hand, it should be reassuring to Catholics and Buddhists to know that each faith tradition supports at
least some considerable number of the other tradition s

Persuasive Essay On Graffiti
Since the birth of graffiti in the 1960 s many people were or are either thrown in jail, have to pay a
high fine in graffiti damages or are either asked to do graffiti in many museums and art galleries
because owners like the art they see and want others to see it too. Graffiti has been around for some
time now, most people and the police just see it as a form of destruction and not art they should not
just see it as something that is good or evil because these artists are expressing themselves through this
art and trying to spread a message. The United States and the U.K need to accept the art and nature or
meaning behind this graffiti because it is a way for people to do good things other than rob or go to
jail it is also a way for people to get their message out and have others hear them or see them in an
artistic way.
Generally most people look and take graffiti as a form of destruction and wanting to cause violence,
but in the artist s mind they want to be creative and help the people around them by making art to
cheer someone up or create a sense of creativity in others. They don t do it to go to jail or because they
want to pay a fine they do it because they are open minded and creative. For instance, A lot of
attention is given to the broken window theory, which says that signs of disorder like petty vandalism,
fare jumping ... and yes, graffiti, open the window to larger crimes, Verel told The Huffington Post.
But little is paid to the ways graffiti is harnessed for good in a form that s both constructive and
authentic (Patrick Verel). They are taking this broken windows theory too far and only saying it can
cause bigger crimes. Some graffiti artists are trying to uplift the neighborhoods and the people they
live around with creative art. Also not all graffiti is bad enough to want artists to commit a crime.
While making this art or graffiti I don t think that these artist are trying to harm the buildings in any
way, but they should ask for permission if they aren t allowed to be painting on these buildings. This is
to let the owner of the building know that they mean no harm to the environment or their workplace.
For example, Adam Cooper, cultural strategy officer for the mayor of London, thinks

How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Drinking And Driving
According to an anonymous person, The only time you should text and drive is when what you have
to say is more important than your life. This quote sums up how important it is not to text and drive, or
drink and drive. There are laws against drinking and driving because it is very treacherous, but why
not texting and driving? I believe that texting and driving should receive the same punishment as
drinking and driving. According to Injury Prevention and Control: Motor Vehicle Safety , when
texting and driving you do not see what is going on around you because your eyes are on your phone,
not the road. Your eyes can only be off the road for a maximum time of three seconds before your
chance of a crash doubles, and it takes five seconds to send a short text. Texting and driving makes the
chances of a crash more likely than a person not texting and driving. Almost eighty percent of all
crashes involve texting and driving, sometimes called distracted driving, and at any given moment
there are 6,600 people texting and driving. You do not want to be driving around any of those 6,600
people, for a wreck could happen at any time, and you could be seriously injured or killed. According
to DWI: Driving While ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Texting while Driving: Does the Penalty match the crime? , by Kat Haselkorn, drinking and driving
can result in an arrest, but texting and driving results in only a small fine. For only one offense of
drinking and driving you can spend up to one year in jail, face up to a $5,000 fine, and a license
suspension for up to year. For all offenses of texting and driving you only face up to a $500 fine, if
you are over 18 years of age. When you are drinking and driving you can see your surroundings, and
will have some sort of response, but it will be delayed. When you are texting and driving you do not
see what is going on around you, so you have no response to your surroundings. This makes texting
and driving very

Labelling Theories Contribution to the Sociological...
Labelling Theories Contribution to the Sociological Understanding of Crime and Deviance Becker is
the main sociologist studying labelling theory on deviance, he argues that social groups create
deviance by making the rules whose infraction constitutes deviance. Meaning acts only become
deviant when observers perceive it and define it as deviant. An example of this would be the act of
nudity, it is accepted in the bedroom between husband and wife or on a nudist camp, but when a
stranger was to enter the bedroom, or someone was to streak across a sporting event, others would
usually see this as deviant, and this deviancy would become a label on the individual. Several factors
affect what the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Which in turn could turn into a self fulfilling prophecy because of being identified with the label and it
becomes controlling. Once these steps have occurred, what Becker describes as the deviant career is
completed when the individual joins an organised deviant group and thus accepting their identity of
being deviant. However, this is not by any means inevitable and some of those who started out as
convicts or drug addicts can become straight and get jobs or quit their habits. When Becker identified
that he took a sequential approach he means how he explains deviance and at any stage in the
sequence of his explanation it is possible that the deviant will re enter conventional society. Lemmert
also uses the interactionist perspective in his view of labelling, outlining primary and secondary
deviance, primary being the act before it is publicly labelled and secondary being the response of the
individual or deviant to the reactions of others in society. But he sees the agents of social control to
blame for deviance rather than the traditional views of the blame lying with the deviant individual or
group. This labelling theory has contributed two concepts to help understand the relationship between
media and crime: · Deviancy amplification, Lesley Wilkins points out that a response to deviant acts
by media and the police can actually

characteristics and also had not so great characteristics that eventually led to each of their down falls.

he has glimpse of greatness but often lets his anger get in the way of decisions. Medea is the princess

  • 2. The House At The Brink Of Tears (BREAK) She stood on the porch of the Sawada house at the brink of tears. She was really going to miss this place. It brought by so many memories that came at Kairi relentlessly, and suddenly she wasn t so sure if she wanted to leave. The female Hibari made a deal with her brother. She could go around and do whatever she wanted unsupervised after he finishes cleaning up the filth left in Nanimori. Kyoya may have gotten rid of the threat in the compound, but there was still chaos elsewhere in the city. It was only after that was done, that Kairi could gallop around and do what she wanted. There was a condition though. Kairi had to come back and live with him back in the estate, he practically stressed the idea. At first, the female ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Kairi turned around and left the house before it engulfed her even more. The female Hibari walked past the gates and into a sleek black car that lead her back into the Hibari estate. (BREAK) Tsunayoshi The school year started again and Tsuna had yet to see her. It was strange not waking up and not hearing her voice. Ever since they watched the sunrise together, it had been their thing to continue on the tradition everyday. It had been odd to watch it alone because he was so used to seeing her there, hearing her voice, smelling the strong scent of the coconut shampoo she always used, or feeling the soft brushes of her long hair when they would walk together. The memory of her was fading and Tsuna was scared that it will be gone forever. He doesn t know when he ll see her again, and all he has left was her memory. But the weeks passed by quickly enough and the strength of each memory was slowly dying. He started to forget the sound of her voice, or the look on her face as she grinned at him, or the way that her face changed whenever they watched anime together. He was forgetting and that was the scariest part. She barely touched his life and Kairi was already a big part of it. The female Hibari showed him a different perspective of the world, and being with he was so much fun. They were friends and Tsuna and the audacity to start forgetting her. Strangely enough, Tsuna saw more of Hibari or rather his followers than he expected. The Disciplinary

  • 4. Iceland s Impact On The Economy . Iceland had a shorter, less severe recession after its banking crises than did Ireland. The most prominent difference is their exchange rate regimes. Iceland s flexible exchange rate allowed Icelandic government to come up with rapid resolution of its banking crisis without bailing out creditors. Iceland s combination of a flexible exchange rate and a policy of closing its failed banks appears to have served the country well in the aftermath of the financial crisis. Banking crises in Iceland and Ireland came to a head at the height of the financial crisis in September and October 2008. These countries took quite different approaches in dealing with these difficulties. Ireland and Iceland are small island countries with many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A substantial part of the expansion of the banks loan portfolios were loans collateralized by Icelandic corporate stock. As a result, the value of Icelandic stock was an important determinant of the value of the banks loans and, therefore, assets. The value of shares rose and then peaked in mid July 2007. By July 2008, share prices had fallen to less than half their value at the peak. This loss in collateral value naturally called into question the probability of lenders being able to repay their loans. The expansion of banking in Iceland reflected growth of both domestic and foreign deposits. Banks in Iceland opened branch offices in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands to gather deposits there. They also expanded by acquiring other institutions. The banks increased their funding by obtaining short term loans from other financial institutions for example, money market funds in the United States. Such funding from other financial intermediaries is often called wholesale funding. A risk of wholesale funding is rollover risk lenders may decide not to roll over these short term loans when they mature, especially if they become concerned about the borrower s solvency. At the time, Icelandic banks were acquiring funds in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the euro area each with a different currency, and all with a different currency than the Icelandic krĂłna. As a result of this borrowing in other currencies, Icelandic banks were subject ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Development Of The Communist Manifesto In The European The development of the communist manifesto in the European region has led to the influencing of the different structures present in the area. The communist manifesto has resulted in the formation of holy alliances in the European region. It is due to the effects of the Manifesto that Marx developed the journal to address the issue. The importance of this journal is to highlight the sociological problems that have resulted from the manifesto. The fact that the manifesto has been highlighted by the European powers to be a force that influences the activities conducted in the region. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through bourgeoisie, which incorporated the serfs and the middle ages, there were developed cities in the ancient times that have developed to be the modern day cities. It is from the effects of communism that America was discovered and the rounding of the Cape (Marx, Fredrick, 4). This in return provided an opportunity for the growth and development of the bourgeoisie. In line with the journal, the communist manifesto also brought about the development of the markets in the far Asian regions of China. This accelerated industrialization in the region due to the need to increase production of finished goods for the general population. As a result of the population pressure witnessed in the European region, industrial developments were monopolized and thus their production was insufficient to cater for the ever growing population pressure in the European region. It was due to this that there was the need to revolutionize machinery to cater for the production. This led to the improvements if the type of engines from steam engines to modern systems of machinery that would produce sufficient goods for the public. The development of modern forms of the market as described by Marx led to the establishment of the global markets. The experience being shared is from the first Gaucho Games: INNOVATION TEST, were the activity is led by the groundkeepers. Tasked with planning and building a tower out of Popsicle sticks, glue and rubber bands in 30minutes. I was a member of The House of Ele which was placed last in the competition. First off, throughout the process I see myself as many things. Some of the roles my group members took were Leader/Coordinator, Follower, Recourse Investigator, Specialist, and Innovator. His question asked sounded like he was trying to go around the rules but I ignored it. When my group decided to build from the roof down to the floor I decided to be a critic, realizing we have too many ideas flowing. Material Properties And Re Application For Cu Christopher Wheatley REE337 Fall 2015 Term Paper Dr. Stefan Stefanoski Overview of the Material Properties and RE Application for Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Introduction and Historical Notes I have chosen to review the material properties and applications for the compound semiconductor copper indium gallium selenide as it is used in photovoltaic cells. A chalcopyrite based material, the chemical formula is often written as CuIn1 xGaxSe2 (CIGS) to represent the alloy system where the stoichiometric ratio of the compound can vary from pure CuInSe2 (CIS) to CuGaSe2 (CGS). The first chalcopyrite solar cells were reported by Wagner et al. in 1974 when a 12% efficient cell was created based on single crystal CuInSe2 absorber. [1] Later, Kazmerski et al. demonstrated that a thin film solar cell could be created by an evaporation process. [2] Commercial CIGS modules were not produced, however, for another 20 years. Since that time the material has been continuously studied and improved. Ga was added to stabilize the p type conductivity and increase the band gap. It was also discovered that the addition of Na, either through the use of soda lime glass substrate or added during the growth process, helps to boost the conductivity of the material and control the film growth and free carrier concentration. [2] As of 2014, the record for CIGS efficiency demonstrated in a laboratory setting was held by researchers at Stuttgart s Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW), for their achievement of a 21.7% efficient cell. [3] As of May 2015, the Taiwanese company TSMC Solar has reported the highest efficiency module that is commercially available with a rating of 16.5%. • 9. The Argument On The Theory Of Utilitarianism Mill has the view that there is a general misconception regarding the use of the term Utilitarianism. Most people refer to it when comparing between wrong and right in a restricted manner that is divergent to pleasure. The opponents of utilitarianism often attach everything with the element of pleasure; thus, contributing to denouncing the theory. However, the proponents of the theory of utilitarianism such as Epicurus and Bentham asserted that it was pleasure in itself and the exclusion of pain. Therefore, the morality principle of utility, which is also referred to as the greatest happiness principle maintains that actions are justified to be right when they produce positive results that are associated with happiness. On the contrary, actions are wrong when they are linked to the negative outcome that tends to suppress happiness. Happiness refers to the absence of pain when there is pleasure, while unhappiness is characterized by pain and lack of pleasure. Basing on the theory of utilitarianism, morality is founded on human activities that are aimed to promote happiness and pleasure as well as suppress pain. That is, humans desire the end of an action to be pleasure. Mill talks about the various priorities that are related to pleasure, which human beings possess. He illustrates the view by stating that, I have dwelt on this point as being a necessary part of perfectly just conception of utility or happiness considered the directive rule of human conduct (p:11). What was the situation? How did it occur? Is this a trend? Is it possible to regain some control or recover any portion of this money? Upon answering these questions I would then review the situation at hand. I would continue to monitor the budget closely and watch for additional variances. Particularly, the summer of 1967, nicknamed the Summer of Love, had widespread political impacts, even though that was not the intention for some participants. With the emergence of LSD and new optimistic, loving mindsets, hippie culture shaped peoples actions in regards to prominent issues in the years following, such as the Vietnam War and the War on Drugs. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As more people encountered the Grateful Dead and the Acid Tests, more people wanted to join in on the group mind, thus growing the use of LSD. The Grateful Dead were not famous when they began playing the Acid Tests, but as LSD and the Acid Tests grew in popularity, the band s own popularity grew with them. The members of the band itself had not used psychedelics (other than marijuana) before they started playing at the Acid Tests, but they quickly became immersed in the culture thanks to those around them. Owsley Stanley, a Grateful Dead soundman and underground chemist, would synthesize his own LSD to give out free samples outside of Grateful Dead concerts so no one felt left out of the experience (Gitlin). Pairing LSD with music was all anyone ever knew because of the Acid Tests and made the experience what it was. Michael J. Kramer describes the culture surrounding the Grateful Dead in his book The Republic of Rock as, a way for strangers to establish bonds of affiliation and connection through risk taking particularly through drug use and electronically generated chaos (Kramer 35). The Acid Tests reflected a popular opposition to the mainstream. LSD was marketed as a daring, exciting substance and more people became eager to try it, especially alongside the Grateful Dead. • 13. Case Study Of The Melamine Milk Crisis In China Preventative crises occur again and again for various reasons. One of the main reasons is because managers and top level business executives desire for profits without regard to sound moral principles (Crandall, Parnell, Spillan, 2014). Unfortunately, this in itself can trigger an organizational crisis. This problem appears in many forms, but the results are usually the same: an organizational crisis of some type, stakeholders who have been hurt, and prevention that would have cost pennies in comparison to the damage done (Crandall et al., 2014). A classic case of unethical decision making and lack of crisis management concerns the Melamine Milk Crisis in China. This case begins with a Chinese company, the Sanlu Group, who was purchasing milk for use in its baby formula. Over time employees of the Sanlu Group discovered the milk their company was purchasing, was tainted with melamine (Crandall et al., 2014). Melamine is a product generally used to make plastics and laminates. Unfortunately, management personnel working for the Sanlu Group was unaware of the tainted substance being illegally added to the milk. However, the melamine product is a life threatening product that can cause kidney stones and renal failure once it is consumed. Although the melamine boosted the protein rating of the milk, it was illegally added to the milk (Crandall et al., 2014). Still unaware of the danger the melamine laced milk was causing to infants, the Sanlu Group continued to purchase the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It has been practiced in numerous educational disciplines. In the earlier part of history, there are two types of pseudonymous writing that was employed. The first type is when the author uses an assumed name to remain anonymous and the second type is when an author uses the name of another author. The pseudonymous writing is widely used for varied reasons, mostly with honest intentions. The second type of pseudopigrapha is known as forgery, and through the course of history, its definition and function has evolved. In ancient times, forgery is an honorable practice of writing, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, several factors have to be considered. The considerations are needed to be put in place is to put forgery in the accurate context. In the ancient times when copyright laws are not yet enforced, forgery is an acceptable practice. Taussig argued that committing forgery is not rooted in fraudulence but inferred as an honorable convention. Further, Ehrman synthesized the use of forgery to empower the teachings of an influential individual, synonymous to Paul s clout in the early Christianity. Having these occurrences in mind, we can then maintain the trustworthiness of the Deutero Pauline Epistles in the same value as we put on the epistles that were penned by Paul himself. Learning these cogitations, it is important that we look at the message of the epistles and its significance in the formation of the faith tradition. Although the abovementioned epistles are written by different individuals (other than Paul), they have augmented the theology that was taught by Paul. The epistles were written in the context of the audiences that they were intended, because of this, forgery did not connote any negative feedback on its teachings. • 22. Persuasive Essay On Service Dogs If the fake service dog scam continues to escalate, real service dogs, and the privileges and respect they are entitled to, will be in jeopardy. (Lichtenberg). Service dogs are needed for people with PTSD, Disabilities, Clinical Depression and GAD. A lot of people rely on these wonderful animals to help them get through the day. For example, people who use dogs to help with depression ,what if they get into a bad mood and attempt suicide, the dog will get someone s attention or can even call 911. Soldiers with PTSD suffer from flashbacks and the dog can calm soldiers down and help them know what is real and not. They are not meant to help people who just want to take their dog into the store or have stressful or bad days. We all get those. Service dogs are beneficial to the world and save lives, you should not be able to just order a kit off the Internet to license your dog to be a service dog. Lives are at risk and its wrong to mock the need of a service dog. The beginnings of therapy dog programs started in World War II with a yorkshire named Smoky. The first systematic use of therapy dogs is attributed to Elaine Smith. Smith noticed how well people responded to their dog and that a trained dog could help people with medical needs. By the time 1976 came around, Smith opened a program for training dogs to visit institutions and these programs started to grow. There are 3 different types of service dogs people can have: Emotional Support Animals, Therapy Animals, and Service Animals. Emotional Support Animals have one task and that is to provide comfort and support, emotionally, to someone who needs it and has a documented health condition. Therapy Animals are registered through an agency and their purpose is to provide therapeutic value to those who need it. Service animals are trained to perform tasks the owner simply cannot do on their own, guiding blind people, detecting seizures, helping people who have lost legs or arms. Not any dog can just be a service dog. The dogs take almost up to a year to train! A service dog has to learn behaviors to help whoever the dog is supposed to help. But, because the Illinois budget had not passed, they received nothing but a cold promise. No, the lottery situation is not the most pressing problem facing our government, it is merely a trivial outgrowth of a bigger problem: political gridlock in the state legislature. A large majority of the citizens of Illinois are exasperated with the government, and they have the right to be, but a Constitutional Convention is not going to fix any of our problems. Every state has its own dilemmas, and these issues can be solved through the everyday political process. A Constitutional Convention is simply not necessary, when the Constitution itself is not what is holding back the Illinois State government. What could possibly be the purpose of a Constitutional Convention? Is it to change provisions on the state budget, income tax, or even school funding? All of these subjects can be focused on individually, and changed through the already present amendment procedures. In fact most of the Constitution itself can be changed through this existing political process. The Constitution is a living breathing document that is meant to change as its environment changes, which is the specific purpose of amendments. Each provision should be dealt with individually, so as to bring more attention to that specific problem. For instance, school budgeting or pension reform ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Having uniforms bring safety to schools and what goes on after school. Why do we need uniforms? Most student have their own style, but a common argument against school uniforms is that they take away the students right to show their sense of style, creativity and culture. Yes, school uniforms may limit what the students have to wear, but he/she can still have their own ways of self expression in many forms. Students can still express their style of choice by what shoes they pick, color of the shoe laces, how he or she styles their hair, what accessories they add, jacket they wear or socks; there are many ways. Uniforms are still versatile where they will not be breaking the dress code policy the school has set. Just because a student can t wear the most latest Polo ,Lacrosse , or Hollister shirt or jeans to school doesn t mean that his/her rights are taken away. As for disease, antibiotics are always plentiful. Medicine is another subject of much dispute. Antibiotics are used frequently in livestock to treat many illnesses. There needs to be a presence when working with children, that you are there to care for them, but you also know what you are doing. How do you define that in terms of a profession? Most of the ECE s who reported what they believed made them professional, reported aspects that reflected themselves as a person. Our children are the future of this country, however, they are still children who need to grow and develop into adults. The hypervigilance of parents where they dictate everything that their child does actually does damage to the child because it stunts the development of internal motivation in these students (Margolies, 2016). It would have actually made me less capable of choosing things for myself, thus causing more stress in my life as more responsibility would fall on me as my schooling continues. The other dangerous way that this forced culture of perfectionism damages these youths is when they seem to be the perfect student, excelling in their studies in high school, and then without this constant support they crash in college and can quickly spiral out of control, not knowing how to handle this new stress as they no longer have the hypervigilance or the praise of their parents to keep them going. Skinner proposed that behaviour changes as a result of its consequences and that behaviour is also reinforced by reward. Behaviour that is reinforced will also increase in frequency Skinner suggested. Similarly, he argued, negative reinforcement works in the same way as positive re inforcement. For example, if a loud noise is made every time a rat pokes its nose through its cage, the rat would stop doing it. He promoted the idea that as humans are just another species, giving praise for desirable behaviour in a child would reinforce that behaviour in the same way that getting food by pressing a lever in a box would reinforce behaviour in a rat. Skinner went further by suggesting that there is no such thing as free will; he called it the principle of determinism, the assertion that all human behaviour is determined by what went before. • 38. Visual Search Case Studies 1.) Visual Search In this activity I participated in a classic psychological experiment that uses visual search tasks to explore fundamental process of visual perception and attention. In general I learned that selective attention filters enable us to make more automatic decisions about the stimuli around us, including which items to pay attention to during a visual search. Also, since your brain is always active and sees visual sights and sensory information, your mind copes by automatically screening or filtering incoming sensory information to let in only what is most important. Specifically, I learned that the first set of trials I did were the feature search part of the experience and the second set of trials were the conjunction search part of the experience. What I learned about my self after doing this activity is that I had a quick reaction time on the first set of trials as I was asked to find a blue circle amid orange squares and circles. But, on the second set of trials my reaction time was not as quick as it first was. On the second set of trials, I was asked to find the blue circle amid blue squares and orange circles. I believe my reaction time was quicker on the first set of trials due to the fact that I was just looking for the color blue among orange squares and circles, but on the second set of trials I was looking for a blue circle among blue squares and orange squares. Therefore, the blue squares were distractors from the blue circle and I was forced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. Is The Internet Making Us Lazy Research Paper Isn t it ironic that the internet has negative effects on us? Shouldn t the internet be making us smarter and more intelligent? How the internet affects us depends on the way we use it. There are different ways we use the internet but it is mainly for help on something. There is a cheating kind of help and a research kind of help. Using the internet to copy answers for homework leads to misuse and therefore has a negative effect on us. However, using the internet for research for a project is helpful: people actually learn something. Even though the internet may tend to have more negative than positive effects, both contribute to the changing sociological effects caused by the internet. Since people are using the internet more than ever, it leads to a loss of focus on other tasks such as reading. According to Nicholas Carr in, Is Google Making Us Stupid he ... Also, in You Won t Finish this Article, Farhad Manjoo examines how people are too lazy to finish reading online articles because of the habits they have produced over time. For example, he provides charts and statistics that support that people are too lazy to finish reading articles: Schwartz tells me that on a typical Slate page only 25 percent of readers make it past the 1,600th pixel of the page (Manjoo 2). • 42. The Management System Of An Organization Introduction In recent years, a lot of organizations have emphasized more on efficiency and effectiveness due to higher rate of competition in the industry. This shift in focus is meant to allow organization to deliver the best in class product and service by improving the key performance metrics (Institute for Operation Excellence, 2012). Operation excellence focuses on the entire area of an organization. The area of focus can be broken down into 3, behavior, management system, and process. For any change to be sustainable, the people s behavior has to be such that can support it. People s behavior and mindset has to change, everybody has to contribute regardless of what level of organization. The management system piece is also a key because of the impact of management support that is needed to promote operation excellence within an organization. Process is where it directly impacts the product. It has to be improved to meet a best in class standard, either by line balancing, implementing a lean flow, or by other form of improvement (Duggan, 2011). Every employee involved should be able to see the value flow from the organization to the customer and vice versa. Some industries struggle in their implementation of operation excellence. For a successful implementation, there has to be a right definition, one that every employee at every level of the organization understand what it means and how their role impacts it. Disparate Faith Traditions The various differences of doctrine and dogma between faith traditions are often a stumbling block for non believers, causing them to wonder how it can be said that any one religion has is correct if there are such a plethora of them. This essay has hopefully alleviated that stumbling block to some degree, although no written work will ever have the capacity to remove it entirely. It has been shown that despite the immensely different beliefs that are held by the Buddhist and Catholic traditions, there is a surprisingly large amount of common ground in the realm of practice. While Catholics believe in a supremely good, powerful, and knowledgeable God, Buddhists have varying beliefs about divinity. While Buddhists firmly assert that there is no real, inner self within each individual, Catholics believe in an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition to those doubting that there can be any discernable or trustworthy truth found in religions, this notable set of points of agreement should serve to reassure the adherents of both faith traditions. • 45. Persuasive Essay On Graffiti Since the birth of graffiti in the 1960 s many people were or are either thrown in jail, have to pay a high fine in graffiti damages or are either asked to do graffiti in many museums and art galleries because owners like the art they see and want others to see it too. Graffiti has been around for some time now, most people and the police just see it as a form of destruction and not art they should not just see it as something that is good or evil because these artists are expressing themselves through this art and trying to spread a message. The United States and the U.K need to accept the art and nature or meaning behind this graffiti because it is a way for people to do good things other than rob or go to jail it is also a way for people to get their message out and have others hear them or see them in an artistic way. Generally most people look and take graffiti as a form of destruction and wanting to cause violence, but in the artist s mind they want to be creative and help the people around them by making art to cheer someone up or create a sense of creativity in others. They don t do it to go to jail or because they want to pay a fine they do it because they are open minded and creative. For instance, A lot of attention is given to the broken window theory, which says that signs of disorder like petty vandalism, fare jumping ... and yes, graffiti, open the window to larger crimes, Verel told The Huffington Post. But little is paid to the ways graffiti is harnessed for good in a form that s both constructive and authentic (Patrick Verel). They are taking this broken windows theory too far and only saying it can cause bigger crimes. Some graffiti artists are trying to uplift the neighborhoods and the people they live around with creative art. Also not all graffiti is bad enough to want artists to commit a crime. While making this art or graffiti I don t think that these artist are trying to harm the buildings in any way, but they should ask for permission if they aren t allowed to be painting on these buildings. This is to let the owner of the building know that they mean no harm to the environment or their workplace. For example, Adam Cooper, cultural strategy officer for the mayor of London, thinks ... How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Drinking And Driving According to an anonymous person, The only time you should text and drive is when what you have to say is more important than your life. This quote sums up how important it is not to text and drive, or drink and drive. There are laws against drinking and driving because it is very treacherous, but why not texting and driving? I believe that texting and driving should receive the same punishment as drinking and driving. According to Injury Prevention and Control: Motor Vehicle Safety , when texting and driving you do not see what is going on around you because your eyes are on your phone, not the road. Your eyes can only be off the road for a maximum time of three seconds before your chance of a crash doubles, and it takes five seconds to send a short text. Texting and driving makes the chances of a crash more likely than a person not texting and driving. Almost eighty percent of all crashes involve texting and driving, sometimes called distracted driving, and at any given moment there are 6,600 people texting and driving. You do not want to be driving around any of those 6,600 people, for a wreck could happen at any time, and you could be seriously injured or killed. According to DWI: Driving While ... • 48. Labelling Theories Contribution to the Sociological... Labelling Theories Contribution to the Sociological Understanding of Crime and Deviance Becker is the main sociologist studying labelling theory on deviance, he argues that social groups create deviance by making the rules whose infraction constitutes deviance. Meaning acts only become deviant when observers perceive it and define it as deviant. An example of this would be the act of nudity, it is accepted in the bedroom between husband and wife or on a nudist camp, but when a stranger was to enter the bedroom, or someone was to streak across a sporting event, others would usually see this as deviant, and this deviancy would become a label on the individual. Several factors affect what the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Which in turn could turn into a self fulfilling prophecy because of being identified with the label and it becomes controlling. Once these steps have occurred, what Becker describes as the deviant career is completed when the individual joins an organised deviant group and thus accepting their identity of being deviant. However, this is not by any means inevitable and some of those who started out as convicts or drug addicts can become straight and get jobs or quit their habits. When Becker identified that he took a sequential approach he means how he explains deviance and at any stage in the sequence of his explanation it is possible that the deviant will re enter conventional society. Lemmert also uses the interactionist perspective in his view of labelling, outlining primary and secondary deviance, primary being the act before it is publicly labelled and secondary being the response of the individual or deviant to the reactions of others in society. But he sees the agents of social control to blame for deviance rather than the traditional views of the blame lying with the deviant individual or group. This labelling theory has contributed two concepts to help understand the relationship between media and crime: · Deviancy amplification, Lesley Wilkins points out that a response to deviant acts by media and the police can actually ...
