5. KISAN CREDIT CARD (KCC)Reserve Bank of India (RBI), along with National
Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) initiated the
conception of Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) in 1998-99, in order to assist
agriculturists to have easily accessible cash credit facilities.
It provides flexibility in terms of repayment, which can be rescheduled in the
event of unforeseen incidents like a bad crop season, with term extensions for a
period of up to four years, and so on. Kisan credit card d is valid for up to five
years and is dependent on the annual renewals.
6. A new scheme namely, Jeevan Raksha Pension-
cum-Gratuity Scheme has been started by the bank
particularly for the benefit of rural old farmers
who can enjoy pension facility in their old If the
depositor dies before 10 years, the nominee of the
deceased is allowed to continue to deposit the
money in the scheme and for the pension after 10
years.
7. • The Cooperative Banks in Datia are pioneers of starting the
Sehkari bima Yojna .Under this scheme, every depositor who
opens a Saving Bank Account provided Personal Accidental
Insurance cover for the period he keep s the account with the
bank, at a very nominal premium. The scheme has benefited
the under priveledged. rural massed , particularly those who
have no access to the insurance companies.
