Informative Speech About Ebola
Today I will be writing about Ebola and if it will become a worldwide pandemic.
To start off, I will briefly explain what Ebola is. Ebola (also known as Ebola Virus Disease or
EVD) is a severe virus that started in late 1996 and was first misdiagnosed as a new form of
malaria. I can understand why they diagnosed the patients with malaria, the early symptoms were
similar, but the main reason is that they never knew Ebola even existed. Soon after, 1st September
to be more precise, there was a large outbreak and there were approximately [1]280 deaths and
only 38 confirmed survivors. The Ebola virus can spread very easily even though it is not
airborne, though it is waterborne and can be passed on through close contact as well as STD s
and through mother to child. The area that has been most infected is in Africa because of the lack
of facilities and healthcare staff available in the area as well as poor training. Another reason is
that the burial rituals include kissing touching and close contact. This causes Ebola to spread faster
since it can stay on a dead persons body for up to six months
There are many symptoms for Ebola including the following;
[2] Fever
Severe headache
Joint and muscle aches
Chills
Weakness
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhoea (may be bloody)
Red eyes
Raised rash
Chest pain and cough
Stomach pain
Severe weight loss
Bleeding, usually from the eyes, and bruising (people near death may bleed from other orifices,
such as ears, nose, and rectum)
Internal bleeding

The Role Of Pollution In Mexico
Mexico is a country located in South America. It has sprawling urban cities and quiet rural areas.
Mexico is a country of diverse populations. This is seen in its culture, government, and history.
Mexico gained its independence from Spanish rule in 1821 following the victory against the
Spanish forces that were in Mexico. Mexico has a government that is similar to the United States.
Mexico is a federal republic that has executive, judicial, and legislative branches (World Book
Online).
The leader of the country is the president. The main political figures depend on him for their jobs.
The president has a six year term and can only serve once. Mexico s legislative branch is called
the Congress of the Union which contains a senate and a chamber ... Show more content on

The Aztec empire fell when their leader Montezuma II let the Spanish into the capital. The Aztec
people revolted against the Spanish conquistador, Hernan Cortes killing hundreds of Spaniards
living within the city. Later, the Spanish brought more soldiers and invaded the rest of the Aztec
empire (World Book Online).
Once the Spaniards were in control of the colonies the Spanish king made the Amerindians pay
tribute, convert to Catholicism, and work for the Spaniards when help was needed. Although Spain
imposed many laws onto the citizens it allowed the natives to continue to speak their own
languages to help prevent revolt. The Europeans brought many diseases along with them such as
small pox. As a result, about 24,000,000 indigenous people died (World Book Online).
In the wake of the loss of the indigenous peoples two new races of people came to power; the
creoles and the mestizos. They were the product of indigenous peoples bred with Europeans. Later
on, the Spanish introduced about 200,000 African slaves to help perform work in the area that is
now Mexico (World Book

How Effective Were the Guerrilla Tactics of the Viet Cong
How effective were the guerrilla tactics of the Viet Cong History
Plan * What tactics the Viet Cong used against US/ARVN troops. * How the Viet Cong dealt with
the decisions made by the US troops. * How guerrilla tactics were better than those used by the US
troops. * How the environment in Vietnam suited the Viet Congand how it was a disadvantage for
the US troops. * How the surroundings in Vietnam were an advantage to the Viet Cong.
The Viet Cong had many tactics which they used against the US and ARVN troops in the Vietnam
War, however these tactics were not those that you would expect to be used in a war.
The Viet Cong were a Guerrilla army, meaning that the people fighting for them are not proper
soldiers. As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Viet Cong also thought of backup tactics. These included secure sanctuaries for times when the
war might go badly. These were very effective as when the US troops outnumbered the Viet Cong
they could retreat to a hiding spot to then launch an ambush. (http://www.pbs.org/battlefieldvietnam
/guerrilla/index.html)
Also the Viet Cong were made up of people from all around South Vietnam. This made it easier for
the Viet Cong to gain trust from people as many of the South Vietnamese people knew at least one
person fighting for the Viet Cong. (Edexcel GCSE, History Controlled Assessment, CA5 Vietnam
1960 75). They were also nice to the South Vietnamese people unlike the US troops. With this
advantage the Viet Cong used the South Vietnamese people as intelligence spies, to gather
information about the enemy US troops without them suspecting a thing. This worked well for the
Viet Cong as the US troops wouldn t be able to recognise any Vietnamese people who were working
for the Viet Cong, which meant that the Viet Cong could keep on finding out crucial information
about the enemy without needing to capture any opposition fighters.
In conclusion, I believe that the guerrilla tactics of the Viet Cong were much superior to those of
the US troops as they were more adapted to the Vietnamese environment whereas the US tactics
could not be put fully into action, and the fact that the Viet Cong knew their environment more
compared to the US was a dominant

Compare And Contrast The Hero Journey In The Count Of...
Hero Journey Comparison Contrast Essay A hero is often thought as someone who saves lives
and does admirable acts. This is not always the case as we see in The Count of Monte Cristo,
where Edmond Dantes is wrongly accused of a crime and sent to imprisonment for life. He is
stripped of his freedom and all he owns and rises to the top with only a goal in mind that he
keeps dear to his heart. In The Alchemist, Santiago seeks to find treasure and on his journey, he
finds his true love. This is very similar to The Odyssey when Odysseus is on the desperate search
for treasure and finds that what he really wants is his wife and his home life. As the reader travels
with these heroes through their personal journeys, the reader can start to notice... Show more content

Again, it s similar to Odysseus in The Odyssey, due to the fact that Santiago was out to seek
treasure and finds his true love on his journey, while Odysseus in The Odyssey, was on a
desperate search for gold and riches but realized the real treasure is what he misses most, his
wife and home. Santiago s quest on finding his treasure can also closely relate to The Count of
Monte Cristo. Edmond is seeking revenge on Fernand and a key part of his journey is to seek
treasure in order to rise in social ranking. Both Santiago and Edmond had searched great lengths in
order to find their treasure as Santiago crossed the desert in search of a treasure near the

Essay about Problems with Interpersonal Communication
What, what did you say? I often find myself saying this when talking with children. The likely
culprit of why is poor listening habits. Most people spend mere time listening than they spend on
any other communication activity, yet a large percentage of people never learn to listen well.
(TLSC, 2008) The above example is what I like to call pseudo listening. People will be thinking
about something else but appear to be listening and only get about half the intended message.
Recently at my father s (Ron) companybecause of a pseudo listening instance a $400,000 dollar
piece of equipment did not get specked correctly. When it was delivered to the customer at
Company B the blast doors did not fit properly on the dryer unit. As one... Show more content on

X received very vague information from the engineer at Company B. Mr. X relayed this wrong
information to the planning department at Ron s company. In the end this resulted in the final
product being rejected. This caused Company B a great deal of money and Ron time and money as
well. Had Mr. X listen to what was being quoted and asked for more concrete information the
entire situation would have been different. During the listening phase if Mr. X had been truly
engaged he would have realized that the placement of the welds was specked on the wrong spots.
They were about ВЅ inch off, nonetheless it was incorrect. Rather he focused on getting this other
job so he was thinking about that instead. The result of the project was Company B didn t want to
pay for the work and Ron was out $ 400,000 dollars. Thus creating a negative affect on the business
relationship however, this could have been avoided with some good listening habits.
Improving the Situation A good listener wants to see how the facts explain the ideas and the
evidence supports arguments, and realizes facts are important only in relation to principles, ideas
and arguments. (Oregon State University, 2008) If Mr. X was using good listening habits he would
have gotten the message, decoded it then asked clarification questions. Which, would have resulted
in Ron and Company B both being satisfied with the product? One of the other factors I mentioned
was Mr. X leaving in the

Animal Experimentation
The British did not only accept animal experimentation but they also increased the use of
genetically modified mice in carrying out such tests. On July 27th official statistics showed that, for
the first time, the use of genetically modified animals has outstripped that of conventional creatures
and hardly anyone flinched knowing that (Britain: Tweaking the Experiments; Animal Testing
).
Imagine the world without the essential vaccines that are used to promote healthy humans, but that
is the world without animal experimentations. The lack of animal experimentations is the lack of
vaccines which would cause many illnesses that would also lead to losing countless numbers of
lives. In addition, society has been more dependable upon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Economist said the ability to breed genetically modified mice that can be used to study the
genetic basis of diseases including caner, Parkinson s and Alzheimer s has boosted the total
number of experiments almost every year (Britain: Tweaking the Experiments; Animal Testing).
This shows that with the number of experiments increasing the society should have more
information on how to solve the quest in curing these diseases or solution on illnesses. Also
having experiments results could help resolve other illnesses or diseases when the society comes
across to a new disease or illness. Maybe scientists and researcher would not need to more
experiments on animals because they could go back to the results that they already have in hands.
Scientists and researcher should always have these in records. In the Times in London, Devlin said
Testing on animals has been involved in almost every medical treatment that is available today
antibiotics, insulin, cancer drugs, heart surgery and organ transplantation (Devlin). Most medical
treatments would not exist today if society did not exercise the use of animal testing. Animal
testing has brought society this far within the medical industry. If society did not use animals for
testing, society would not be anywhere close in the medical industry as society is as of now.
Thinking back now, what would happen if the society never used animals for research or as test
subjects, how many people would be

Scared To Death Summary
In Scared To Death by Ed Yong, he expressed how the fear of wolves has affected the elk in
Yellowstone National Park. The Landscape of Fear has taken a toll on the ecosystems that are
present there. Ed Yong s perspective on this matter is taken into great consideration by an
ecologist named Laundre. Landre finds it fascinating as she looks at it as a perpetual state of
apprehension. Ed Yong discusses how the Landscape of Fear affects the ecosystem and the
relationship between wolves and elk i8n Yellowstone National Park. In January 1995, after
about 70 years after they have been exterminated by predator controlled programs, grey wolves
returned to Yellowstone National Park. Over the period of two winters, 31 animals capture din
Canada were brought back to the park. Then they put radio collars on all the animals to track and
record where they roamed. Laundre became more focused on the elk as they were the main prey
to the wolves. To describe this psychological environment, Laundre coined the term Landscape of
Fear. The Landscape of Fear was present when the elk were in close proximity to the wolves.
Ecologists took interest as they believe that psychology contributes to the Landscape of Fear. They
believe that it also challenges the belief that many animals feel fear only in short bursts, instead of...

The Syrian Civil War Was Influenced By The Arab Spring
The Syrian Civil war is now entering its third dreadful year as the death toll continues to rise and
is now over 200,000. The Civil War was influenced by the Arab Spring which was a wave of
revolutionary ideals and movements that swept through the Middle East. Therefore, when the
Syrian Government arrested and tortured a group of teenagers who painted revolutionary
slogans on a school wall, the people erupted. The Syrian people were fed up with the prolonged
suppression by the Syrian government. A government who abused their Emergency State Law,
which was enacted in 1963, giving the Syrian government the authority to suspend civil rights.
The violent government retaliation against the protestors resulted in both sides taking up arms
and engaging in a continuing bloody civil war leaving the country in utter turmoil. The citizens
caught in the crossfire have been forcibly removed from their home in search of safety and
asylum, yet are still within Syria. These individuals are known as IDP or Internally Displaced
Persons with the estimated number reaching approximately 6.5 million people with
approximately half being children. The Syrian government has failed to uphold its duty to
protect civilians from the strong possibility of being displaced because they refer to these people
as merely temporarily displaced, which proves that they will provide no assistance for these
people. The country as a whole prior to the events of the civil war had been experiencing a massive

Roles Of Men And Women
When you think of the roles for men and women in a relationship, what do you think of? Do you
see both men and women working full time jobs or do you only see the man working and the
wife staying at home? Roles are continuing to change in many ways. People can choose to either
get married young or wait until they are older. We get this picture in our head of how our lovelives
are supposed to be from the media. Some people consider their jobs to be just as important as their
relationships.
Expectations of relationship roles of men and women have changed greatly from in the past.
Katherine Davis stated, Wilson and I are fortunate to have a relationship that allows us to be as
committed to our professions as we are to each other (Davis 257). I believe that is the way it is
now in the world, both the men and women focusing on their careers. In the past, men were
expected to go to work and provide for their families. The women were expected to stay home
and take care of the house and the children if they had any. Some people take the same route that
Katherine Davis took. She was not necessarily looking for love and she was focused on her
career. She then met her fiancГ© at her summer internship. Back in the day, women were
expected to find husbands and have kids as soon as possible. They were unable to just sit around
and wait while being occupied by their jobs. Love can be perceived in many different ways. Part
of the reason for that is the way the media has changed our

Calista is a kind of girl that good at everything, but her only weakness is that she is too nice and

hard and really want to be the class president and she didn t tell anyone. One day, Scarlett, her best

of course I am not going to be in it. Don t worry. Calista panicked and smile. Should I tell her that
I am running for it too, and should I compete with her? Calista thought deeply. It was not an easy
decision to make for Calista. Beside, Scarlett told her she had very big confidence to make it.
Calista has been thinking this all day: how can she compete with her best friend for class
president? As her walk out the library door, she holds a cup of coffee and staring at her phone.
How can she go to tell her best friend, Scarlett, that she is in the competition too. As she walkingin
the hallway, Scarlett is walking toward this way too. Calista was a little fluster. Hi, Scarlett, said
Calista, how is your day? Yes is good, I think I am ready for the speech. I am so excited. I

Administrative Discretion Essay
Administrative Discretion
Melissa T. Massey
Public Administration
13 December 2011
Administrative Discretion
Administrative discretion is a discretionary action is informal and, therefore, unprotected by the
safeguards inherent in formal procedure. A public official, for example, has administrative
discretion when he or she has the freedom to make a choice among potential courses of action.
Abuse of Discretion is the failure to exercise reasonable judgment or discretion. It might provide a
Cause of Action for an unconstitutional invasion of rights protected by the due process clause of
the Constitution (West s Encyclopedia of American Law, edition 2. Copyright 2008 The Gale
Group, Inc). So do I think that public administrators ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is where administrative discretion can go wrong because it can be bias for personal reasons,
sexual reasons, anything. My question would be what it the faculty members were having their
own personal issues and they could not separate work from home and the allowed there personal
issues control the decisions of the students punishments that could probably effect the rest of their
lives. Another factor of a disadvantage is the sex linked method the female faculty member may
have been an emotional to her decision with the students if they were crying or had a compelling
story of how they would act out oppose to the male faculty member who was demanding as far as
being a disciplinarian. Then we also have to take into consideration age and race could have
played a factor for the faculty in this case. The female had to deal with she was younger so she
may have related to the students as well as being African American which did honestly play a part
back in that time even current statics dated in 2010 showed that African Americans were only 9%
of the teacher population within the whole nation..
In conclusion, administrative discretion has its good points and bad. I do not think that all
government power should have the discretion. As the people of the United States, we should take a
moral and value poll towards the administrators within our government, or like a genuine lie
detector

What Are The Similarities Between The Han And Roman Empire
Thesis Statement
This is about Han and Roman Empire. This argument is saying that the Romans were more
powerful than the Han Empire based on its military system. This will be coming from the Han s
prospective from 206 B.C to 220 B.C. Also talking from the Roman Empire s point of view
from14 C.E to 330 C.E. There will be similarities in this paper but mostly differences because
these are two totally different cultures. The reason for picking the Romans is because the Han s
constantly deployed soldiers year round, even getting soldiers that we not Chinese that lived on
the border. Having the advantage of speed and size the Han s had the advantage of taking over all
of China. The ability of having these advantages of speed and size gives the Han military of taking
over the feudal power structure of other Chinese states.2 But the Roman empire their cavalry would
be arranged in columns which will cover more space. The general will also assign his lightened
armed troops which were javelin throwers, bowman, and slingers in the front. If not placed in the
front the lightened armed troops would actually do more damage to the phalanx than the enemy.
The heavy armed troops would be in the back having the ability to shoot and aim high in the air and
being able to hit the enemy and not the phalanx.1 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Hobby Lobby and the Obama Administration
The issue is over Hobby Lobby vs. the Obama Administration. Hobby Lobby has taken a stance
against ObamaCare s contraception coverage. ObamaCare s affordable health care act, gives
employees who are women access to contraceptives such as the morning after pill and IUDs,
which the plaintiffs of Hobby Lobby considered to be forms of abortion. The contraceptive
coverage in the new Health Care law makes preventative care more accessible and affordable to

of it while it is not too late. Let s help each other to take care of it so that we can enjoy it forever.
Nature is everything which surround us and one of this is the flower. Flower is a part of a plant. It is
a reproductive organ that produces eggs and pollen grains. Many flower have brightly colored
petals and sweet fragrant which make them unique from the other living things. They produce
nectar that attracts insect, animals and human too. While the animals eat on the nectar, some
pollen grains stick on their bodies. When they move to another flower they carry the pollen and
help pollinate those flowers. The pollination by animals are more effectively than pollination by
the wind. Why? Because the animals directly move from flower to flower and not like in wind
where the pollen can be carry anywhere. There is an assurance if it is

When one thinks about horror movies a couple, if not one, comes particularly into mind. Exorcist
The Beginning, this demented film sent many to hospitals when it first premiered. Many till this
day name the film as a classic horror film. But, as it is known every beginning must surely have an
end. Influenced by the elder film, came a slightly more revolutionized twist. The newest prequel
Dominion.
Even at first glance the names of the two films differentiate significantly. It can be deterred that
both films will offer a dark and unique way of expressing the director s idea onto the big screen.
Firstly, the original film is not able to be copied and displayed its own uniqueness. In the time it
was released horror was a taboo and the film was actually quite frightening. If one would watch the

Officer, God isn t here today . Schrader s movie isn t particularly scary but, it s more substantive
than The Exorcist and its sequels, because it considers evil as something more normal and real.

The American Influence On Canada
For many decades, writers and authors have accused the American influence on Canada as one of
the reasons why Canada is losing its heritage, with one major aspect being the game of hockey. The
institutionalization of American Culture began to take root in Canada during the late 1920 s and
1930s as technological advances, specifically the invention of the radio, allowed Canadians to enjoy
American entertainment. American stations were much more reliable than Canadian ones, causing
American sporting stations such as NBC and CBS to become extremely popular in Canada
(Gruneau et al, 1993). As Canada was becoming intertwined with the United States (U.S.), it was
becoming less of a satellite of Britain, which made it tremendously difficult for Canada s elite to
protect British ideals such as self improvement and participating in sport for the game s sake.
(Gruneau et al, 1993). In the early 1940 s, after the great depression forced many franchises to
dismantle, the National Hockey League(NHL) was left with six teams, which made up the famous
original six. At this time, America had a strong influence on the game, as four of the original six
teams were based in the United States, and all of the players in league were paid in American
dollars (Gruneau et al, 1993). By the early 1960 s, televised sports were emerging in North
America, and NHL players were becoming mainstream stars. Inspired by this, along with the threat
of the NHL losing its television contract to the Western

Dr Home Character Analysis
1)Describe the following characters
a)Dr. House
Dr. House is a doctor who is always looking for the truth in every situation regardless of who they
are. He seems to have a way of seeing through people and their tales regardless of what they may
be. He is a believer, but also knows there is a medical reason for everything. He has a mindset to
get to the bottom of everything. He is also the go to guy in the hospital if there is a serious
problem. People like him and trust him. I would say he is a confident man.

the end save his son.
d)The cancer patient
She is giving up on life at this point. The doctor has prescribed four different types of pain
medications, but they are not working. She knows she is at the end, but the doctor does not want
her to give up. She said she lived, but is ready for things to be over. She has basically given up to
the illness. She meets the teenager and he turns her thinking around. He makes her think different,
feel different, as well as feel better. She now believes and wants a life.
e)The other doctors
The doctor s seem to be optimistic throughout this process. They seem to believe the things the
teenager states because he knows things other would not typically know. They see the medical
reports, hear the diagnosis, and see the Father s reaction, but cannot put it all together. The doctor

Zeitgeist Negatives
Today s zeitgeist has many positives and negative aspects. They range from the multitudes of today
s technology to the activities we engage in. We use technology for nearly everything; for
professional purposes, as well as for personal uses. We have cellular phones, computers, tablets
(which are basically mobile computers), printers, iPods, cameras, camcorders, etc. With nearly
everything we do, technologyis involved in some way or another. Personally, I believe this has both
positive and negative consequences. On a positive side, we complete tasks more quickly and
efficiently, which lets us complete more tasks than ever before. We have access to an immeasurable
amount of information, right at our fingertips. I wouldn t say this makes us more intelligent human

We re able to learn about other societies and compare them to our own. This, and many other
factors, makes technology a very positive aspect of our zeitgeist. However, there are many
negative aspects as well. I believe that technology has made us a very lazy society. It is more of
a rarity now to see people getting out into the world to gain knowledge. Everything is based on
technology. Face to face communication is becoming even more rare. There are new products
being developed every day, and yet, we do not really marvel at any of it anymore. It s not as
spectacular to us anymore, even though it truly is a magnificent feat for us. Also, technology, and
internet can be very dangerous things. People often overlook the privacy policies they are signing,

New York Survey Data Paper
New York Survey Data
Sampling is a method by which one can gain an estimation of accuracy for population (Jaggia
Kelly, 2014). Surveying is a form of sampling which is often used to provide an estimate. A
survey was conducted on a group of people living in New York City which consisted of 445
randomly selected people from multiple boroughs on a monthly basis for six months. The survey
focused on the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island.
Additionally, demographic information was collected, including level of education and marital
status. This paper will provide the results of the survey as well as their accuracy of the estimates in
order for the New York City governmental agency personnel.
Statistical Calculations and Analysis
The survey data was analyzed to provide a variety of statistics, including:
The point estimate and 95% confidence interval for each borough
The 95% confidence interval to estimate a population proportion of doctoral degrees
The 95% confidence interval to estimate a population proportion of single or other marital status

In order to gain a 0.05 margin of error, all sample sizes must be increased, however each borough

selfless and senselessly persecuted characters. In Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus

found in a mockingbird. For example, when Scout questions whether Atticus is right to take on the

The Pros And Cons Of Radical Reconstruction
At the end of the Civil War, the nation s government was tasked with sewing back together a
nation so divided that they were willing to kill each other and split in two. While those that started
the war may not have been rational, those that ended the war were. Among the most pressing issues
the Reconstruction drafters faced like compensating northerners and not alienating the South,
providing justice to African Americans especially freed slaves stood forward as the primary moral
goal. After all, by the end of the war, the North s endgame became less about state defiance and
more about the moral obligation of emancipation. The North first employed a strategy of
appeasement to save the dignity of the South but after a recalcitrant South refused... Show more

Although it did temporarily provide African Americans with de jure equality, Radical
Reconstruction did not eliminate the intrinsic barriers of prejudice and neglect to African American
prosperity in the South and did not keep freedmen from being once again disenfranchised to
sharecropping and enslaved to debt after Northern supervision stagnated. Freedom, as defined by
Garrison Frazier, a Baptist minister representing Savannah s black community, was placing us
where we could reap the fruit of our own labor, and take care of ourselves, and African Americans
were unable to do that despite laws that purportedly freed African Americans. In fact, most of the
impacts of Radical Reconstruction an abandoned black community, a makeshift union, and an
empowered white supremacy movement overlooked by a corrupt state government system could
have been achieved by simply engaging with the normal Reconstruction. Radical Reconstruction
may have actually been worse because of the widened rift between the North and the South, with
resentment of the federal government s military intervention fostering a reluctancy for the South to
cooperate. Even though African Americans would have to wait decades for a semblance of justice,
it is perhaps for the better that the North did not force the South the alter their worldview. For the
United States government is not Orwell s thought police, and the nation s laws are unable to
oversee every single interaction and microaggression that citizens face as a result of others
preconceived notions and judgements. Considering that both gentle and strict approaches were
tried, there is very little that officials could have done to feasibly create a perfect reconstruction,
and hitting with a heavier hand would only further a stronger backlash. If they had done any one
thing better, it would have

Using Pcb For Fabricating Various Electronic Circuits
1.1.Introduction
Most of the electronic companies in the world use PCB for fabricating various electronic circuits.
They use it to make multilayered complicated circuits in portable sizes. PCB is the abbreviation
for Printed Circuit Board . A printed circuit board , or PCB, is a self contained module of
interconnected electronic components found in devices ranging from common beepers, or pagers,
and radios to sophisticated radar and computer systems. [1] PCBs are used in both simple and
complex electronic products.
There are many methods of soldering on a PCB. The most common way which used nowadays for
small scale production is by using a Soldering Iron which has to be done manually by hand. But
for large scale production in industries convection reflow ovens are used. Our goal of this project
is to help the small scale production with an electric oven by using the reflow method. PCB
manufacturing process has become one of the most essential part of the electronics production
lifecycle. PCB manufacturing creates many new areas of technology and this has resulted in
significant improvements to be made in the reduction of component sizes. In recent years
worldwide small production of electronic components has increased exponentially. So our projects
has the similar approach as the other two soldering methods which are for small scale and large
scale production. However we have tried to generalize the other two soldering methods were we

Two things didn t mix well in my life. One was being a full time student and the other an athlete.

which I never did. I had a choice, which was more important, playing lacrosse or studying. Like any
first year college student I picked lacrosse. At that point I didn t realize what I was getting myself
into. Who at that age would know either?
My worst nightmare came true in the summer of 1989. I was academically dismissed from the

parents. I proceeded to reapply back to my former university and was accepted. I gradated with
over a 3.0 in my major and was offered a job in Washington D.C.
Being dismissed from college was one experience that I have never regretted and never will. I
can see why this happened; I was a student athlete, which doesn t mix. Being an athlete in college
I had to practice Monday through Saturday, I was always tired, too tired to study and go to class.
I did learn a couple things though, sportsmanship, self discipline, teamwork, cooperation, and
concentration. Too bad none of these attributes rubbed off on my schooling. The university said
that they would help me out with my schoolwork but that was just a lie, one in which they still
use today. The school put me into these easy classes which didn t teach me anything except how
to fall asleep in class. The university was only worried about winning games and being nationally
recognized. They didn t help me when I was doing poorly and even after I was dismissed.
After being dismissed I realized a few things, one that the university only cared about my money,
another was that everything I did I did for someone else, and that I was accomplishing

There is no father figure for Billy to look up to, so maybe that is where he has his rebellious naive
attitude. To add to it all his motheris more interested in going out, than looking after her son, and
also her other son Jud, he doesn t look after Billy at all. An example of Billy s rebellious side is
on page 19. Billy get up to that shop and do as you re telled. He shook is head. His mother
stepped forward, but he backed off, keeping the same distance between them. Billy was already
late for school, yet his mother wanted him to go up to the shop and buy her cigarettes, this
shows she is more concerned with herself than Billy, and his life and school. Another example of
her not caring and showing affection was when Billy was reading his book and she asks about it,
and when he is half way through explaining she realises she is late and runs out to go to the pub,
leaving Billy to fend for himself. A kestrel hawk, what do you think it is?
I say what time is it?
She then runs out and leaves him to fend for himself.
Further more, when Billy needs his mum the most and actually goes to hug his mother when he is
in tears, she rejects him, shaking him off her and telling him to grow, this shows a lack of
maternal qualities once again, and even shows she is embarrassed to be a

CHOLERA
Disease Defined Cholera is an infection of the small intestine that causes a large amount of watery
diarrhea. Cholera is a bacterial disease (caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae) usually spread
through contaminated water. The bacteria, which are found in fecal contaminated food and water
and in raw or undercooked seafood, produce a toxin that affects the intestines causing diarrhea,
vomiting, and severe fluid and electrolyte loss. This overwhelming dehydration is the outstanding
characteristic of the disease and is the main cause of death. Cholera has a short incubation period
(two or three days) and runs a quick course. In untreated cases the death rate is ... Show more

In this setting, the disease occurs primarily in young children, who are exposed to the organism
for the first time, and in the elderly, who have lower gastric acid production and waning
immunity. The poor are at greatest risk because they often lack safe water supplies, are unable to
maintain proper hygiene within the home, and may depend on street vendors or other unregulated
sources for food and drink. Recent epidemiologic research suggests that an individual s
susceptibility to cholera (and other diarrheal infections) is affected by their blood type: those with
type O blood are the most susceptible, while those with type AB are the most resistant. Between
these two extremes are the A and B blood types, with type A being more resistant than type B.
Signs and Symptoms * Dry mucus membranes or mouth * Dry skin * Excessive thirst * Glassy
or sunken eyes * Lack of tears * Lethargy * Low urine output * Nausea * Rapid dehydration *
Abdominal cramps * Watery diarrhea * Rapid pulse * Vomiting
The usual incubation period is 2 to 5 days, although it can be as short as several hours. Severe
cholera is characterized by a sudden onset of profuse, watery diarrhea accompanied by nausea and
vomiting. If left untreated, this can rapidly lead to serious dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and
circulatory collapse. Over 50% of the most severe cases die within a few hoursНѕ with prompt,

Essay On Homecoming Experience
People all over America will be celebrating our veterans for their service on November 11th.
There will be numerous celebrations and thanks for the people who fought for our freedom, but
often we forget what it was like coming home from a war. Coming back from the war and
reassimilating into society can often times be just as challenging as fighting the war itself. There
are so many factors that affect one s homecoming experience, such as the supportiveness of the
community or the trauma caused by the war. Everybody is different which means everybody s
experiences are going to differ. Leaving your home is definitely a difficult feat, and coming back is
possibly even harder for some veterans. In an interview with Vietnam war veteran, Karl Marlantes,
some important points are brought up about the psychological effects war has on a veteran, but
also some of the external factors that affect someone s ability to cope with their actions. He tell s
in his own words what it s like to come home from war and try to repress all of your guilt and
grief. He describes the guilt as a wound of the soul and makes a point of how soldiers experience
mental health issues as well as physical wounds. To help make this homecoming for veterans
better, we should create a place for veterans to go to talk about what happened so they can release
their grief and move on, instead of letting it sit untouched until it comes to conscience and makes
life a nightmare. Another goal for him is to give

Cronus God Of Time Essay
Cronus or Kronos was the Titan god of Harvest and Time. He was the youngest of the first
generation of titans that were bore by Gaia, the earth, and his father Uranus. Cronus was often
depicted carrying a scythe or sickle, therefore, it can be argued that Cronus being the god of time
could also be death. The reason for this is because death is often depicted as wearing robes while
carrying a scythe or sickle. Cronusrises to power by overthrowing his father Uranus. Uranus grows
weary of his wife Gaias creations, mainly the hundred handed Hecatonchires and the Cyclopes.
Uranus takes the Hecatonchires and shoves them back into the Earth effectively blocking any
further creation by Gaia. Gaia is not happy with this so she creates the sickle and goes to her
children, the titans, and asks which of them will exact revenge on Uranus. In the end all of the

thirteenth and fourteenth century, Mongols conquered Iran and Iraq and that s when the Abbasid
Dynasty ended. In this period the Muslim world lost many parts of its region such as Sicily and
Spain. But Islam was still spreading in regions like Africa and northern India. During the fifteenth

Understanding the Clinical Management of Pain in Fibromyalgia
Understanding the Clinical Management of Pain in Fibromyalgia
Classical pain presentation in fibromyalgia is often manifested in the muscle on various tender
spots all over the four (4) quadrants of the body. Generally, patients complain of joint pain when in
fact only the surrounding muscles sore. Pain may be accompanied by fatigue, skin sensitivity,
tingling sensations, diarrhea, constipation and sleep disorder. Although, these symptoms are also
linked to other chronic pain syndromes, the health experts came up of a unique tool to discretely
differentiate fibromyalgia from other disease conditions.
Clinicians are very particular to rule out other disorders before diagnosing a patient with
fibromyalgia. As mentioned earlier, signs and symptoms may be similar to other conditions thus
presence of pain alone is not enough to assume that the patient has fibromyalgia for a fact that some
disorders may co exist with it.
The clinical symptoms of fibromyalgia are quite complex thus focusing on single aspect on pain
care may not efficiently work. Experts categorized treatment and management of fibromyalgia into
three (3)
1. Pain management which focuses to Fibromyalgia.
2. Management of symptoms that may directly or indirectly trigger pain.
3. Management of predisposing conditions caused by fibromyalgia.
Various aspects need must be considered in the management and care of fibromyalgia. For instance,
there are no significant evidences to show that anti inflammatory drugs diminish

Analysis Of The Book The Book Of Titus
Paul is the author of the book of Titus. The book of Titus was written around the years 63 65
A.D. The letter was addressed to Titus who was a gentile and a companion of Paul. Paul called
Titus his True son . Titus along with First and Second Timothy are called Pastoral Epistles. The
reason for being categorized that way is because the letters emphasizes the reason for having
leaders within the church. (Votaw, Clyde W. pg.130 38) The book s theme is instructions to Titus
on how to run the churches in Creteand to encourage Titus in faith. The first readers of this letter
would be Titus, some of the leaders within the Crete churches, Zenas and Apollos who Paul gave

(Bright, Hilda, and Helen Pocock.) The Minoans were the first advanced society in Europe s
history. The Minoans were found throughout mainland Greece and throughout the Mediterranean
Sea and the island of Crete. Around the year 6500 the Cretans were documented in hunting,
fishing, and engaged in pagan worship. In the year 3000 B.C. and the years following,
immigrants from Northern Africa came to Crete. They were skilled in Bronze making. This
would soon lead to the Bronze Age and the Greek empire would grow and become more
powerful. In the years after 2000 B.C. is when most of the palaces and the other artifacts that are
still visible today were made. (Kyriakopoulos, Victoria. pg. 23 24)
During the time that Paul and Titus were there, the Cretans were at a deplorable moral level.
They were dishonest, gluttonous, and lazy. Titus had to overcome their way of life and preach
the Gospel to them. Some of the offices that were within the church were not being taken
seriously, so, Paul listed certain attributes that an elder must possess. The modern day bishop
most likely would be comparable to a deacon in some protestant churches and a bishop in the
Catholic Church. (Votaw, Clyde W. pg. 130 38) The role of an elder in this day in time would
have to be hospitable and friendly. During this age and time, Inns were dirty and unkept. If you

Welfare And The Government s Contribution Towards Poverty
Government aid is a hotly debated topic. Crossing the bounds of politics, economics, and
sociology, it seems like everyone has an opinion about welfare and the government s contribution
towards alleviating poverty. Amongst all these opinions, a person can get confused on what is fact
and fiction, who is right and who is wrong. However, with actual data accredited to unbiased
sources, and references to qualified studies, I have confounded enough evidence to support my
claim. I found that despite opinions, according to the facts, welfaredoes help alleviate poverty.
According to the article Ending Welfare as We Know It: A Reform Still in Progress, in the long
term, as more aid is given the poverty rate declines. Less people are stuck in poverty, and on
average the number who use federal aid declines, resulting in a decline in poverty. The focus of
the source was to figure out whether or not the reforms in welfare did anything to help alleviate
poverty. This article references statistics taken by the U.S Census bureau. According to the U.S
Census bureau, through utilizing welfare policies such as Medicaid, the number of citizens reliant
on in the USA, dropped by 945,900 from in between 1996 to 1999. Thus showing that welfare does
help those in poverty, and in the long run helps them get themselves above the poverty threshold
and off of welfare. The author of the article, James Caraley is the President of the Academy of
Political Science; and the unbiased factual evidence is

My Career Goals In Nursing
I am a nurse. I Am a nurse. I m a Nurse! I had finally made it to my career goal in life. As soon as
I got licensed, I submitted my application to a few dialysis companies, more than several times, to
increase my chances of getting my online application noticed. Sure enough, the hours and hours of
applying day and night paid off and I began my journey as a hemodialysis (HD) nursein 2015. I
have been in this specialty for over two years now and I still get asked, Why are you a dialysis
nurse? It s like a retirement nursing job. Isn t it boring? , Don t you want to get yourself
involved in something else before you settle? . Contrary to what others believe about
hemodialysis nursing, this specialty has been one of the most fulfilling careers in my lifetime.
See, in nursing, there is no settling and no specialty is easy. We deal with patients lives and they
confide in us to take care of them like they are our own family. The idea of becoming an HD
nurse came to me in nursing school when my mother in law, who has been an HD nurse for 30
years, has always talked about how great her job is. I wanted to fall in love with my job and
career the way she did and was determined to do just that. Sure enough, when my training as an HD
nurse started shortly after getting my RN license, I was fascinated by the concept of a machine
replacing the many functions of our kidneys. I trained for six months, taking classes, studying, and
getting my hands on experience. I excelled at

The Divine Command Theory, And Natural Law Theory
Philosophers base the idea of objective morality on the assumption that some moral ideals are
universal and should be the moral responsibility of everyone. Subjective moralists counter this
argument by explaining that each moral decision is independent because each moral situation is
unique to its own conditions. Ultimately, these two views shape the nature of moral philosophy and
theology, each describing the different natures of morality(Hammond). These two theories have a
large impact on the thinking process of humans on an everyday basis. This process then leads up
to a person valuing different things more than others. The separation of objective and subjective
theories all boil down to whether or not a theory is universal or not. A subjective theory has an
absence of universal truths, and an objective theory has universal truths. Two vary popular theories
that will take part in my research were the Divine Command Theory, and Natural law theory. Two
theories that may seem similar, but in fact are very different.
Divine Command Theory is a type of ethical relativism that states that morality is dependent on
God s will, and his will, and his way is holy, and will forever be no matter the situation. In other
words as stated by Rachels, what God commands is what is morally right, and what God forbids is
morally wrong (Rachels, 2001). Within this theory, it makes it known that morality cannot exist
separately from God s will.
Divine Command Theory can be closely related

Essay on Making a Tissue Box Cover
Adding decorative elements to a home can be done in many ways. One interesting option is to
create a cover for any dull looking tissue box in a living room, kitchen, or other room. The cover for
a standard tissue box can be made from many types of materials. One option is to use construction
paper or fabric which needs to be sewn. However, the cover will need to fold up on each side of the
box which is then fastened at the top. Review a few steps to make a simple tissue box cover.
Fabric Tissue Box Cover
Multiply the height of the tissue box by the width after adding one quarter inch for the seams.
Measure the top of your box and obtain the width and the height. Add one quarter inch to each
measurement and then multiple them together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Add one quarter inch to each measurement. The top also needs to be measured for the width and
length.
Transfer the measurements for the tissue box to sheets of pieces of one quarter inch foam board.
Use a a ruler and utility knife to cut each piece. Trim one eighth of an inch from two side pieces.
Cut an oval shape out of the top section for the tissue.
Apply tacky glue to each edge of the side pieces and glue them together to form a square. The glue
will likely be dry in a couple of minutes. Apply tacky glue around the top and press the top piece in
place.
Determine the color for your tissue box cover and purchase the necessary construction paper. You
have the option for black paper or another color for the base if accessories are being added.
Measure each side of the tissue box to obtain the width and height. Transfer the measurements
over the the paper and cut out five sheets. Attach double sided tape to the back of each black
sheet. Place all the sheets on the sides of the tissue box. The next step is to measure the width and
length of the top of your tissue box. Cut a piece of construction paper and tape it to the top of the
tissue box. A pair of scissors is needed to cut the hole for the tissue.
Decorate the sides of the tissue box by using different piece of colored construction paper. Trace
out an object or different shapes and cut then out with the scissors. Apply small pieces of tape or
craft glue

Hammurabi Justice
Over a thousand of years ago, there was a very unique story that becomes a history today. It was
about a well known city that has always been the talk of the town today which is known as the
city of Babylon. It was then transformed into the central power of Mesopotamia since the city
was given hegemony over Mesopotamia by the sixth ruler, the very efficient one named
Babylonian king Hammurabi, who reigned from 1792 to 1750 BC. Since the renaissance of
literary, a code of laws was established under the instruction of Hammurabi. This phase was also
called as First Dynasty of Babylon . Law and justice were key concepts in the Babylonian way of
life. Basically, the Code of Hammurabi has 282 laws and standards in it, all written in if then form

The Merchants Of Cool
In Rushkoff s film, The Merchants of Cool, he rhetorically questions if teenagers even have a
culture to call distinctly their own. In the late 1990 s when the documentary was made, the
implication was that they do not. However, with the internet s advancements and the accessibility
of communication with massive amounts of people, teenagers today can form authentic cultures
that are not contaminated by the corporate media. When the documentary was produced, media
exposure was limited to private and expensive mediums such as television, movies and radio. These
outlets were plagued with marketing agendas designed to sell products under the guise of authentic
music and entertainment. Formerly non existent cultural archetypes such as the... Show more

The media chooses to portray and sell sex, violence, drama and role models because it appeals to
teenagers biological and evolutionary instincts. The excessive amounts of sex hormones being
produced in teenagers boosts libido causing displays of eroticism to be very alluring. Scenes of
action or violence release adrenaline and endorphins for emotional stimulation and teen idols
like NSYNC and Edward Cullen portray the ideal mate for many girls. The music presented is
mostly homogenous and simple to promote familiarity and emotional response. Had these
businesses tried to sell celibacy, indifference and pariahs, their profits would have declined. In
The Merchants of Cool, Rushkoff goes to a teenage party to survey rising trends and notices a
strange phenomenon. The girls dancing in front of his camera seemed to be selling the same
exaggerated sex appeal that corporations were selling to the teenagers. He labeled this sensation a
sort of giant feedback loop which implied that, since corporations try to mirror teenage behavior
and then pervert that into a more explicit version to sell back, which in turn causes teenagers to
emulate the corporation s behavior, teenagers are incapable of having a genuine culture to call their
own, much like the young

  • 2. Informative Speech About Ebola Today I will be writing about Ebola and if it will become a worldwide pandemic. To start off, I will briefly explain what Ebola is. Ebola (also known as Ebola Virus Disease or EVD) is a severe virus that started in late 1996 and was first misdiagnosed as a new form of malaria. I can understand why they diagnosed the patients with malaria, the early symptoms were similar, but the main reason is that they never knew Ebola even existed. Soon after, 1st September to be more precise, there was a large outbreak and there were approximately [1]280 deaths and only 38 confirmed survivors. The Ebola virus can spread very easily even though it is not airborne, though it is waterborne and can be passed on through close contact as well as STD s and through mother to child. The area that has been most infected is in Africa because of the lack of facilities and healthcare staff available in the area as well as poor training. Another reason is that the burial rituals include kissing touching and close contact. This causes Ebola to spread faster since it can stay on a dead persons body for up to six months There are many symptoms for Ebola including the following; [2] Fever Severe headache Joint and muscle aches Chills Weakness Nausea and vomiting Diarrhoea (may be bloody) Red eyes Raised rash Chest pain and cough Stomach pain Severe weight loss Bleeding, usually from the eyes, and bruising (people near death may bleed from other orifices, such as ears, nose, and rectum) Internal bleeding ... • 3. The Role Of Pollution In Mexico Mexico is a country located in South America. It has sprawling urban cities and quiet rural areas. Mexico is a country of diverse populations. This is seen in its culture, government, and history. Mexico gained its independence from Spanish rule in 1821 following the victory against the Spanish forces that were in Mexico. Mexico has a government that is similar to the United States. Mexico is a federal republic that has executive, judicial, and legislative branches (World Book Online). The leader of the country is the president. The main political figures depend on him for their jobs. The president has a six year term and can only serve once. Mexico s legislative branch is called the Congress of the Union which contains a senate and a chamber ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Aztec empire fell when their leader Montezuma II let the Spanish into the capital. The Aztec people revolted against the Spanish conquistador, Hernan Cortes killing hundreds of Spaniards living within the city. Later, the Spanish brought more soldiers and invaded the rest of the Aztec empire (World Book Online). Once the Spaniards were in control of the colonies the Spanish king made the Amerindians pay tribute, convert to Catholicism, and work for the Spaniards when help was needed. Although Spain imposed many laws onto the citizens it allowed the natives to continue to speak their own languages to help prevent revolt. The Europeans brought many diseases along with them such as small pox. As a result, about 24,000,000 indigenous people died (World Book Online). In the wake of the loss of the indigenous peoples two new races of people came to power; the creoles and the mestizos. They were the product of indigenous peoples bred with Europeans. Later on, the Spanish introduced about 200,000 African slaves to help perform work in the area that is now Mexico (World Book ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How Effective Were the Guerrilla Tactics of the Viet Cong How effective were the guerrilla tactics of the Viet Cong History Plan * What tactics the Viet Cong used against US/ARVN troops. * How the Viet Cong dealt with the decisions made by the US troops. * How guerrilla tactics were better than those used by the US troops. * How the environment in Vietnam suited the Viet Congand how it was a disadvantage for the US troops. * How the surroundings in Vietnam were an advantage to the Viet Cong. The Viet Cong had many tactics which they used against the US and ARVN troops in the Vietnam War, however these tactics were not those that you would expect to be used in a war. The Viet Cong were a Guerrilla army, meaning that the people fighting for them are not proper soldiers. As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Viet Cong also thought of backup tactics. These included secure sanctuaries for times when the war might go badly. These were very effective as when the US troops outnumbered the Viet Cong they could retreat to a hiding spot to then launch an ambush. (http://www.pbs.org/battlefieldvietnam /guerrilla/index.html) Also the Viet Cong were made up of people from all around South Vietnam. This made it easier for the Viet Cong to gain trust from people as many of the South Vietnamese people knew at least one person fighting for the Viet Cong. (Edexcel GCSE, History Controlled Assessment, CA5 Vietnam 1960 75). They were also nice to the South Vietnamese people unlike the US troops. With this advantage the Viet Cong used the South Vietnamese people as intelligence spies, to gather information about the enemy US troops without them suspecting a thing. This worked well for the Viet Cong as the US troops wouldn t be able to recognise any Vietnamese people who were working for the Viet Cong, which meant that the Viet Cong could keep on finding out crucial information about the enemy without needing to capture any opposition fighters. In conclusion, I believe that the guerrilla tactics of the Viet Cong were much superior to those of the US troops as they were more adapted to the Vietnamese environment whereas the US tactics could not be put fully into action, and the fact that the Viet Cong knew their environment more compared to the US was a dominant ... • 5. Compare And Contrast The Hero Journey In The Count Of... Hero Journey Comparison Contrast Essay A hero is often thought as someone who saves lives and does admirable acts. This is not always the case as we see in The Count of Monte Cristo, where Edmond Dantes is wrongly accused of a crime and sent to imprisonment for life. He is stripped of his freedom and all he owns and rises to the top with only a goal in mind that he keeps dear to his heart. In The Alchemist, Santiago seeks to find treasure and on his journey, he finds his true love. This is very similar to The Odyssey when Odysseus is on the desperate search for treasure and finds that what he really wants is his wife and his home life. As the reader travels with these heroes through their personal journeys, the reader can start to notice... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Santiago s quest on finding his treasure can also closely relate to The Count of Monte Cristo. • 6. Essay about Problems with Interpersonal Communication What, what did you say? I often find myself saying this when talking with children. The likely culprit of why is poor listening habits. Most people spend mere time listening than they spend on any other communication activity, yet a large percentage of people never learn to listen well. (TLSC, 2008) The above example is what I like to call pseudo listening. People will be thinking about something else but appear to be listening and only get about half the intended message. Recently at my father s (Ron) companybecause of a pseudo listening instance a $400,000 dollar piece of equipment did not get specked correctly. When it was delivered to the customer at Company B the blast doors did not fit properly on the dryer unit. As one... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... X received very vague information from the engineer at Company B. Mr. X relayed this wrong information to the planning department at Ron s company. In the end this resulted in the final product being rejected. This caused Company B a great deal of money and Ron time and money as well. Had Mr. X listen to what was being quoted and asked for more concrete information the entire situation would have been different. During the listening phase if Mr. X had been truly engaged he would have realized that the placement of the welds was specked on the wrong spots. They were about ВЅ inch off, nonetheless it was incorrect. Rather he focused on getting this other job so he was thinking about that instead. The result of the project was Company B didn t want to pay for the work and Ron was out $ 400,000 dollars. Thus creating a negative affect on the business relationship however, this could have been avoided with some good listening habits. Improving the Situation A good listener wants to see how the facts explain the ideas and the evidence supports arguments, and realizes facts are important only in relation to principles, ideas and arguments. (Oregon State University, 2008) If Mr. X was using good listening habits he would have gotten the message, decoded it then asked clarification questions. Which, would have resulted in Ron and Company B both being satisfied with the product? One of the other factors I mentioned was Mr. X leaving in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Animal Experimentation The British did not only accept animal experimentation but they also increased the use of genetically modified mice in carrying out such tests. On July 27th official statistics showed that, for the first time, the use of genetically modified animals has outstripped that of conventional creatures and hardly anyone flinched knowing that (Britain: Tweaking the Experiments; Animal Testing ). Imagine the world without the essential vaccines that are used to promote healthy humans, but that is the world without animal experimentations. The lack of animal experimentations is the lack of vaccines which would cause many illnesses that would also lead to losing countless numbers of lives. In addition, society has been more dependable upon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Economist said the ability to breed genetically modified mice that can be used to study the genetic basis of diseases including caner, Parkinson s and Alzheimer s has boosted the total number of experiments almost every year (Britain: Tweaking the Experiments; Animal Testing). This shows that with the number of experiments increasing the society should have more information on how to solve the quest in curing these diseases or solution on illnesses. Also having experiments results could help resolve other illnesses or diseases when the society comes across to a new disease or illness. Maybe scientists and researcher would not need to more experiments on animals because they could go back to the results that they already have in hands. Scientists and researcher should always have these in records. In the Times in London, Devlin said Testing on animals has been involved in almost every medical treatment that is available today antibiotics, insulin, cancer drugs, heart surgery and organ transplantation (Devlin). Most medical treatments would not exist today if society did not exercise the use of animal testing. Animal testing has brought society this far within the medical industry. If society did not use animals for testing, society would not be anywhere close in the medical industry as society is as of now. Thinking back now, what would happen if the society never used animals for research or as test subjects, how many people would be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Landscape of Fear has taken a toll on the ecosystems that are present there. Ed Yong s perspective on this matter is taken into great consideration by an ecologist named Laundre. Landre finds it fascinating as she looks at it as a perpetual state of apprehension. Ed Yong discusses how the Landscape of Fear affects the ecosystem and the relationship between wolves and elk i8n Yellowstone National Park. In January 1995, after about 70 years after they have been exterminated by predator controlled programs, grey wolves returned to Yellowstone National Park. Over the period of two winters, 31 animals capture din Canada were brought back to the park. Then they put radio collars on all the animals to track and record where they roamed. Laundre became more focused on the elk as they were the main prey to the wolves. To describe this psychological environment, Laundre coined the term Landscape of Fear. The Landscape of Fear was present when the elk were in close proximity to the wolves. Ecologists took interest as they believe that psychology contributes to the Landscape of Fear. The Civil War was influenced by the Arab Spring which was a wave of revolutionary ideals and movements that swept through the Middle East. Therefore, when the Syrian Government arrested and tortured a group of teenagers who painted revolutionary slogans on a school wall, the people erupted. The Syrian people were fed up with the prolonged suppression by the Syrian government. A government who abused their Emergency State Law, which was enacted in 1963, giving the Syrian government the authority to suspend civil rights. The violent government retaliation against the protestors resulted in both sides taking up arms and engaging in a continuing bloody civil war leaving the country in utter turmoil. The citizens caught in the crossfire have been forcibly removed from their home in search of safety and asylum, yet are still within Syria. These individuals are known as IDP or Internally Displaced Persons with the estimated number reaching approximately 6.5 million people with approximately half being children. The Syrian government has failed to uphold its duty to protect civilians from the strong possibility of being displaced because they refer to these people as merely temporarily displaced, which proves that they will provide no assistance for these people. • 11. Roles Of Men And Women When you think of the roles for men and women in a relationship, what do you think of? Do you see both men and women working full time jobs or do you only see the man working and the wife staying at home? Roles are continuing to change in many ways. People can choose to either get married young or wait until they are older. We get this picture in our head of how our lovelives are supposed to be from the media. Some people consider their jobs to be just as important as their relationships. Expectations of relationship roles of men and women have changed greatly from in the past. Katherine Davis stated, Wilson and I are fortunate to have a relationship that allows us to be as committed to our professions as we are to each other (Davis 257). I believe that is the way it is now in the world, both the men and women focusing on their careers. In the past, men were expected to go to work and provide for their families. The women were expected to stay home and take care of the house and the children if they had any. Some people take the same route that Katherine Davis took. She was not necessarily looking for love and she was focused on her career. She then met her fiancГ© at her summer internship. Back in the day, women were expected to find husbands and have kids as soon as possible. They were unable to just sit around and wait while being occupied by their jobs. Love can be perceived in many different ways. Part of the reason for that is the way the media has changed our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. Administrative Discretion Essay Administrative Discretion Melissa T. Massey Public Administration 13 December 2011 Administrative Discretion Administrative discretion is a discretionary action is informal and, therefore, unprotected by the safeguards inherent in formal procedure. A public official, for example, has administrative discretion when he or she has the freedom to make a choice among potential courses of action. Abuse of Discretion is the failure to exercise reasonable judgment or discretion. It might provide a Cause of Action for an unconstitutional invasion of rights protected by the due process clause of the Constitution (West s Encyclopedia of American Law, edition 2. Copyright 2008 The Gale Group, Inc). So do I think that public administrators ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is where administrative discretion can go wrong because it can be bias for personal reasons, sexual reasons, anything. My question would be what it the faculty members were having their own personal issues and they could not separate work from home and the allowed there personal issues control the decisions of the students punishments that could probably effect the rest of their lives. Another factor of a disadvantage is the sex linked method the female faculty member may have been an emotional to her decision with the students if they were crying or had a compelling story of how they would act out oppose to the male faculty member who was demanding as far as being a disciplinarian. Then we also have to take into consideration age and race could have played a factor for the faculty in this case. The female had to deal with she was younger so she may have related to the students as well as being African American which did honestly play a part back in that time even current statics dated in 2010 showed that African Americans were only 9% of the teacher population within the whole nation.. In conclusion, administrative discretion has its good points and bad. I do not think that all government power should have the discretion. As the people of the United States, we should take a moral and value poll towards the administrators within our government, or like a genuine lie detector ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Also talking from the Roman Empire s point of view from14 C.E to 330 C.E. There will be similarities in this paper but mostly differences because these are two totally different cultures. The reason for picking the Romans is because the Han s constantly deployed soldiers year round, even getting soldiers that we not Chinese that lived on the border. Having the advantage of speed and size the Han s had the advantage of taking over all of China. The ability of having these advantages of speed and size gives the Han military of taking over the feudal power structure of other Chinese states.2 But the Roman empire their cavalry would be arranged in columns which will cover more space. The general will also assign his lightened armed troops which were javelin throwers, bowman, and slingers in the front. If not placed in the front the lightened armed troops would actually do more damage to the phalanx than the enemy. The heavy armed troops would be in the back having the ability to shoot and aim high in the air and being able to hit the enemy and not the phalanx.1 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The American Influence On Canada For many decades, writers and authors have accused the American influence on Canada as one of the reasons why Canada is losing its heritage, with one major aspect being the game of hockey. The institutionalization of American Culture began to take root in Canada during the late 1920 s and 1930s as technological advances, specifically the invention of the radio, allowed Canadians to enjoy American entertainment. American stations were much more reliable than Canadian ones, causing American sporting stations such as NBC and CBS to become extremely popular in Canada (Gruneau et al, 1993). As Canada was becoming intertwined with the United States (U.S.), it was becoming less of a satellite of Britain, which made it tremendously difficult for Canada s elite to protect British ideals such as self improvement and participating in sport for the game s sake. (Gruneau et al, 1993). In the early 1940 s, after the great depression forced many franchises to dismantle, the National Hockey League(NHL) was left with six teams, which made up the famous original six. At this time, America had a strong influence on the game, as four of the original six teams were based in the United States, and all of the players in league were paid in American dollars (Gruneau et al, 1993). Among the most pressing issues the Reconstruction drafters faced like compensating northerners and not alienating the South, providing justice to African Americans especially freed slaves stood forward as the primary moral goal. Although it did temporarily provide African Americans with de jure equality, Radical Reconstruction did not eliminate the intrinsic barriers of prejudice and neglect to African American prosperity in the South and did not keep freedmen from being once again disenfranchised to sharecropping and enslaved to debt after Northern supervision stagnated. Freedom, as defined by Garrison Frazier, a Baptist minister representing Savannah s black community, was placing us where we could reap the fruit of our own labor, and take care of ourselves, and African Americans were unable to do that despite laws that purportedly freed African Americans. In fact, most of the impacts of Radical Reconstruction an abandoned black community, a makeshift union, and an empowered white supremacy movement overlooked by a corrupt state government system could have been achieved by simply engaging with the normal Reconstruction. Radical Reconstruction may have actually been worse because of the widened rift between the North and the South, with resentment of the federal government s military intervention fostering a reluctancy for the South to cooperate. Even though African Americans would have to wait decades for a semblance of justice, it is perhaps for the better that the North did not force the South the alter their worldview. For the United States government is not Orwell s thought police, and the nation s laws are unable to oversee every single interaction and microaggression that citizens face as a result of others preconceived notions and judgements. A printed circuit board , or PCB, is a self contained module of interconnected electronic components found in devices ranging from common beepers, or pagers, and radios to sophisticated radar and computer systems. Recent epidemiologic research suggests that an individual s susceptibility to cholera (and other diarrheal infections) is affected by their blood type: those with type O blood are the most susceptible, while those with type AB are the most resistant. Between these two extremes are the A and B blood types, with type A being more resistant than type B. Signs and Symptoms * Dry mucus membranes or mouth * Dry skin * Excessive thirst * Glassy or sunken eyes * Lack of tears * Lethargy * Low urine output * Nausea * Rapid dehydration * Abdominal cramps * Watery diarrhea * Rapid pulse * Vomiting The usual incubation period is 2 to 5 days, although it can be as short as several hours. • 37. Essay On Homecoming Experience People all over America will be celebrating our veterans for their service on November 11th. There will be numerous celebrations and thanks for the people who fought for our freedom, but often we forget what it was like coming home from a war. Coming back from the war and reassimilating into society can often times be just as challenging as fighting the war itself. There are so many factors that affect one s homecoming experience, such as the supportiveness of the community or the trauma caused by the war. Everybody is different which means everybody s experiences are going to differ. Leaving your home is definitely a difficult feat, and coming back is possibly even harder for some veterans. In an interview with Vietnam war veteran, Karl Marlantes, some important points are brought up about the psychological effects war has on a veteran, but also some of the external factors that affect someone s ability to cope with their actions. He tell s in his own words what it s like to come home from war and try to repress all of your guilt and grief. He describes the guilt as a wound of the soul and makes a point of how soldiers experience mental health issues as well as physical wounds. To help make this homecoming for veterans better, we should create a place for veterans to go to talk about what happened so they can release their grief and move on, instead of letting it sit untouched until it comes to conscience and makes life a nightmare. Another goal for him is to give ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was the youngest of the first generation of titans that were bore by Gaia, the earth, and his father Uranus. Cronus was often depicted carrying a scythe or sickle, therefore, it can be argued that Cronus being the god of time could also be death. The reason for this is because death is often depicted as wearing robes while carrying a scythe or sickle. Cronusrises to power by overthrowing his father Uranus. Uranus grows weary of his wife Gaias creations, mainly the hundred handed Hecatonchires and the Cyclopes. Uranus takes the Hecatonchires and shoves them back into the Earth effectively blocking any further creation by Gaia. Gaia is not happy with this so she creates the sickle and goes to her children, the titans, and asks which of them will exact revenge on Uranus. In the end all of the titans decline except for Cronus. So, wielding the sickle Cronus faces his father and castrates him, casting his testicles into the sea. The... Understanding the Clinical Management of Pain in Fibromyalgia Understanding the Clinical Management of Pain in Fibromyalgia Classical pain presentation in fibromyalgia is often manifested in the muscle on various tender spots all over the four (4) quadrants of the body. Generally, patients complain of joint pain when in fact only the surrounding muscles sore. Pain may be accompanied by fatigue, skin sensitivity, tingling sensations, diarrhea, constipation and sleep disorder. Although, these symptoms are also linked to other chronic pain syndromes, the health experts came up of a unique tool to discretely differentiate fibromyalgia from other disease conditions. Clinicians are very particular to rule out other disorders before diagnosing a patient with fibromyalgia. As mentioned earlier, signs and symptoms may be similar to other conditions thus presence of pain alone is not enough to assume that the patient has fibromyalgia for a fact that some disorders may co exist with it. The clinical symptoms of fibromyalgia are quite complex thus focusing on single aspect on pain care may not efficiently work. Experts categorized treatment and management of fibromyalgia into three (3) 1. Pain management which focuses to Fibromyalgia. 2. Amongst all these opinions, a person can get confused on what is fact and fiction, who is right and who is wrong. However, with actual data accredited to unbiased sources, and references to qualified studies, I have confounded enough evidence to support my claim. I found that despite opinions, according to the facts, welfaredoes help alleviate poverty. According to the article Ending Welfare as We Know It: A Reform Still in Progress, in the long term, as more aid is given the poverty rate declines. Less people are stuck in poverty, and on average the number who use federal aid declines, resulting in a decline in poverty. The focus of the source was to figure out whether or not the reforms in welfare did anything to help alleviate poverty. This article references statistics taken by the U.S Census bureau. • 48. The Divine Command Theory, And Natural Law Theory Philosophers base the idea of objective morality on the assumption that some moral ideals are universal and should be the moral responsibility of everyone. Subjective moralists counter this argument by explaining that each moral decision is independent because each moral situation is unique to its own conditions. Ultimately, these two views shape the nature of moral philosophy and theology, each describing the different natures of morality(Hammond). These two theories have a large impact on the thinking process of humans on an everyday basis. This process then leads up to a person valuing different things more than others. The separation of objective and subjective theories all boil down to whether or not a theory is universal or not. A subjective theory has an absence of universal truths, and an objective theory has universal truths. Two vary popular theories that will take part in my research were the Divine Command Theory, and Natural law theory. Two theories that may seem similar, but in fact are very different. Divine Command Theory is a type of ethical relativism that states that morality is dependent on God s will, and his will, and his way is holy, and will forever be no matter the situation. In other words as stated by Rachels, what God commands is what is morally right, and what God forbids is morally wrong (Rachels, 2001). Within this theory, it makes it known that morality cannot exist separately from God s will. Divine Command Theory can be closely related ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
