2. TISCOM ITOC Ticket Triage Case Study
TISCOM ITOC Ticket Triage IT incident and work order resolution is taking too
long. This is a direct result of inefficient and inaccurate ticket triage at TISCOM.
We will address this issue through re aligning the ITOC workforce, ensuring senior
technicians are performing triage, and developing a JQR for qualified triage
technicians. From the above propositions realigning the workforce would have the
most impact. As it currently stands ITOC technicians are expected to have a
general knowledge of all enterprise products and services, as well as their support
entities, throughout the Coast Guard. Using this knowledge a triage technician
escalates tickets to an SMB or product line when a particular incident or work order
cannot be handled in the ITOC. The knowledge required to consistently perform
this task correctly is too vast for any individual to accomplish. Too often a ticket is
escalated to the wrong queue only to have it sit for several days before an SMB or
product line technician acknowledges the ticket, recognizes it s in the wrong queue,
and de escalates it to the ITOC for reevaluation. This sequence of events can occur
two or three times with one ticket. It is frustrating customers and impacting Coast
Guard operations.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because triage is an undesirable watch position junior technicians are performing the
role. They have not had the time to develop the knowledge necessary and, even with
the best of intentions, will often be inaccurate. Additionally, that junior tech is likely
to arbitrarily assign a ticket to meet minimum time requirements for ticket
acknowledgement. Assigning the role to a senior technician applies more knowledge
to triage and allows junior technicians to develop their knowledge and
troubleshooting skills. Despite having a senior technician performing triage a
knowledge gap can still
3. A Report On Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
In recent years, the tourism industry has become the fastest growing economic
sectors in the world. Visitors are the most important factors for the development of
tourism. To build unique, fantastic, and unforgettable attractions are the main method
to conduct new business. In this essay, Hong Kong Disneyland Resortwill be

4. Economic Health Of Oregon By Looking At Gross State...
The three most important indicators of economic health are output, employment and
inflation. Output is one of the indicators because if a country is producing more
output, then less people would be unemployed which leads to a healthier economy.
Employment contributes to the indication of economic health because when more
people are employed then more output can be produced contributing to Gross State
Product. Inflation is an indication because it determines how much real value is
being lost(Graham). In this paper I will analytically discuss the economic health of
Oregon by looking at its Gross State Product, unemployment and cost of living.
Gross State Product(GSP) is the total dollar value of all final output produced within
a state in a certain time period, usually one year (Schiller). The aspects that contribute
to a state s GSP are all private and public consumption, government spending,
investment and exports minus imports that occur within the states borders. GDP
reflects the valued added for products instead of the total value so that the GDP is
accurate ( Gross Domestic Product). Unemployment is the inability of the labor
force to find work and this contributes to the health of the economy. The cost of
living The current level of real GSP in Oregon is 199,393 millions of chained dollars.
The one year change in GSP from 2014 2015 was 7775 millions of chained dollars.
The change of 7775 millions of chain dollars is a big increase and is a sign that the

5. Causes Of The African Water Crisis
The average American uses about 176 gallons of water in one single day, while in
Africa, 660 million people see just one sip as a luxury, states Kristen Lewis in the
article entitled THIRST for the 2016 Scholastic Scope. Without water, people cannot
carry out daily activities and struggle to survive. The water crisisin Africais an
expanding problem in our world that continues to affect millions of people each
day; fortunately, this crisis has caught the attention of The Water Project, a
nonprofit organization in the United States that raises money to solve water crises
around the world. The Africa water crisis has come about due to several factors
that create negative outcomes for the citizens of Africa, but The Water Project is
doing all they can to resolve these issues. There are a variety of causes held
responsible for the water crisis in Africa. These causes have been taken from
African s control and desperately need to be solved. Climate change is one of the
countless reasons that there is a high demand for water in Africa. An article entitled
Africa s Water Crisis Deepens written for the 2006 News Scientist, states that
Drought, famine and spreading deserts have plagued Africa for the past 30 years.
With the expansion of desertification, the process in which land becomes
increasingly dry with little to no water resources, areas of land have dried out and
are useless to humans due to the lack of rainfall on the African continent over the past
several years.

scale the top three carriers (Federal Express, UPS, and Airborne Express) serve
slightly more than 85% of the domestic express mail market. All three carriers
deliver a high volume of packages, and thus, are able to spread fixed costs over
more units. Also, each carrier has integrated technological systems that improved
operational efficiency. In addition, intensive training programs of employees increase
service and delivery efficiency. b) Extremely large capital requirements are necessary
to enter the market. Hub facilities at airports (e.g. FedEx s hub near Dallas cost $250
million); capital expenditures for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, such avenues of delivery limit the customer s presentation options
(cannot bind business reports / deliverables ). Also, the customer cannot transport
a non paper package (e.g. a book, a desk) via this delivery system. b) Regular mail
only cost 32 cents for letters. The post office is also very convenient. However, in
regards to packages, the post office is very poor in quality service and efficiency
(cannot track packages efficiently and has an on time delivery record much worse
than commercial carriers) 3. Bargaining Power of Suppliers Medium for the
following reasons: a) Postal materials numerous suppliers of necessary postal and
packaging materials. Switching costs are not high. The postal materials suppliers
have low bargaining power. b) Software programs combined with extensive
customized programming updates / additions. The software and software
customization industries both have numerous suppliers. However, given the
complexity and uniqueness of such an information network, there are probably only a
limited number of software and customization companies that can provide a carrier
with a high quality system that is capable of smoothly integrating all the operation
and customer service divisions. Furthermore, the switching costs have the potential to
be extremely high because such a transfer could disrupt communication between the
divisions, leading to poor quality service. In addition, the company would

from the comfort of your wife s warm body but cautiously move closer, step by step
downstairs into the direction of the sound. Each step you take wondering whether
or not your house is being robbed. You finally ease your way downstairs and
quickly flip the light switch only to find your home empty and totally void of any
damage or evidence of a theft of any kind; however, you still hear the sound. You
notice it s coming from your front door, but its 3 A.M. on a school night. The hairs
on the back of your neck begin to rise and your heart beats faster, wondering who is
violently knocking on your front door. You remember the incident at your store
where a brick was thrown through the window and how you angered the community
by canceling a game and blemishing a season with such a historical start. You pull
the shade back on the front door, revealing not an angered parent, but Timo Cruz,

8. The Freedom to the Choice of Abortion
We all live our lives as we please all in accordance to the law, but when it comes to
abortion people start to judge and try to regulate how others live and interfere in
their personal choices. We live in a country based on freedoms, and women have and
should continue to have the freedom to the choice of an abortion. A woman s right to
choose abortion is a fundamental right recognized by the US Supreme Court. The
courts also have a category of classes called the near suspect classes, which include
gender. Gender deserves protection from possible discrimination at the hands of the
majority. Women constitute a majority of American s and have been discriminated in
the past. The Landmark case Roe v. Wadewas decided and remains the law of the
land. Making laws against abortions don t stop abortions from happening; they just
make it less safe, which in many cases leads to death. Therefore idea of supporting
pro life is contradictory, this is why the nation should be pro choice. No child should
be brought into this world where they are not wanted or are not able to live a
normal life. Most people who are against abortion will never even become pregnant,
so they should not be making laws against it. Pregnancy is a private and personal
matter. Outlawing abortion is discriminatory and unfortunately abortions are being
transformed from a right to a privilege for most women.
Abortion represents a woman s right to choose whether or not to continue a
pregnancy, and this is a

Akibatnya nilai tukar Yen terhadap Dollar AS menguat. 4.Employment Employment

Steven Lynn s essay The Paradoxical Unity of Writing a Wrong carries the many
traits of a New Critical Essay; based on the language and choices of examples
within his text. The New Critic Theory believes that the key to understanding a text
exists within the text itself , otherwise known as Formalism which is very evident
in Lynn s opinion on Brendan Gill s article. Lynn covers majority of the New
Criticism concepts in his essay including; Paradox, Irony, Tensions and concludes his
text with evidence behind a unifying idea. A paradox is when the outcome is
opposite of the reasonable expectation. Lynn states that this is evident in Gill s
reading by using quotes to prove the point such as; dolphin diving skyward and
progress downward.
11. A Lady Amy Lowell Literary Devices
From John Keats dreamy sonnets to the Edgar Allen Poe s macabre laments, the most
renowned poems across movements and writing styles capture and illustrate the
fleeting emotions one feels when a soul impacts another. Through diction, devices,
and form, a poet imparts the impression of his muse, the source of these emotions,
much like an artist illustrates his source of inspiration through any combination of
media. Amy Lowell, a twentieth century pioneer of modern poetry, is one such poet.
In her poem, A Lady , the muse is not only the subject, but the audience, whom she
directly addresses. To describe her muse, Lowell uses allusions to the arts, elegant and
domestic imagery, and repetitive sounds; in conjunction, she creates a sensual tone to
transmit her admiration to the audience.
Lowell opens the poem with a bold tone, explicitly addressing the subject of her
work and beginning to characterize and compliment her. In using a second person
point of view, Lowell begins to construct an intimate tone on which she will continue
to augment as the poem progresses. Though the speaker addresses her subject
outright in the poem, Lowell knows that readers of this poem feel as though they are
outsiders who, upon seeing the word you , imagine a private conversation. In this
way, Lowell manipulates her readers to feel as though they are witnessing in a
private moment, such as one shared between lovers.
Amy Lowell characterizes her muse as classically beautiful, alluding to various
forms of art as she does so. Lowell uses a simile to compare the lady of whom she
speaks to an old opera tune played upon a harpsichord . With her utilization of
phrases such as opera tune and harpsichord , she urges the audience to visualize the
grandeur and elegance of fine art and apply this imagery to her subject. Lowell
continues her comparison, soon likening the woman of which she speaks to the silks
of an eighteenth century boudoir . Not only does this solidify the image of elegance
and luxury for the reader, but it also introduces the motif of domesticity, which recurs
throughout the poem. Lowell s inclusion of adjectives such as faded , old , eighteenth
century , and outlived continue to characterize her muse, who one can

Date: November 28th, 2012
Acute Hospital Care
Acute care is medical treatment at a hospital which is short term. Acute care is a
level of health care in which a patient is treated for a brief but severe episode of illness
, for conditions that are the result of disease or trauma, and during recovery from
surgery. Acute care is generally provided in a hospitalby a variety of clinical
personnel using technical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies.

necessary personnel to provide diagnosis, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the breakup of acute care services (eg stroke, acute myocardial infarction,
respiratory failure) has removed many consultants from the general medical admitting
role and certain specialties (eg neurology, dermatology) effectively provide no junior
or consultant level staffing for this activity in the majority of hospitals. Only 19% of
consultants reported having a formalized acute team in their hospital.
There have been are strain on the increase number of patients who are acutely sick
patients. This is due to more people surviving cancer, heart attacks and stroke and
lives on into old age. Nearly two thirds of the patients now being admitted to hospital
are over the age of 65 and many are much older. At night or over the weekend acute
hospitals mostly have a junior doctor who may be in their first two years of training
as cover. Studies show patient deaths rise by 10% over weekends. In a survey a third
of the respondents said their hospital was average at delivering high quality of care
24 hours a day, seven days a week and over 10% said it was poor .
At the acute hospital all patients deserve to receive safe, high quality, sustainable care
centered around their needs and delivered in an appropriate setting by respectful,
compassionate, expert health professionals. Yet it is increasingly clear that our
hospitals are struggling to cope with the challenge of an ageing population and
increasing
13. The Theory Of Self And Identity Essay
The idea of self and identity is highly intricate, and the self can either be one of
three options: the self is private, constructive, or a mixture of both. In the private
viewpoint, the self is static, founded on a set number of traits, values, and
dispositions that will not change with time. The constructivist theory argues that the
self is changeable by nature and changes based on varying circumstances. Then,
there is the mixture idea, that these separate opposing ideas are connected, as the
way the self is developed and reflected upon is based on how the brain and
individual thoughts develop. This is highlighted in Gopnik s statement that,
Ourselves shape our brains at least as much as our brains our selves (Gopnik 2).
When reflecting on Gopnik s article more it seems only logical to think that some
parts of the self is constructed, whereas other parts are private, and this completely
depends on the environment of the child. Parenting styles is one of those
environmental aspects, and it largely impacts how a child s socioemotional, and
language skills develop, which in turn has a ripple effect on how the child ultimately
views their own personality and self. The most telling test to measure socioemotional
development of a child is through attachment, and the most successful way to
measure this is through the strange experiment. Children are classed as insecure
resistant, insecure disorganized, insecure avoidant, or secure based on how they
behave during the

Since 1982, the National Institute of Mental Health, along with other reputable health
organizations has collected data that connects media violence, with violent acts.
Conclusions deduced from this data prove that violent programs on television lead to
aggressive behavior by children and teenagers who watch those programs. Television
violenceaffects young people of all ages, all socio economic levels, and all levels of
intelligence.
Today s children view vast amounts of violence on television. A steady diet of death,
killings, torture, and other grotesque acts may be viewed on any day by vulnerable
youth. When children are young, they are impressionable to all their surroundings,

This association has been easy to support and is substantiated in every major
scientific report released in the last twenty years. It has become general knowledge
to professional counselors and educators that excessive and unsupervised exposure
to television violence increases the use of violence to resolve conflict, while it
desensitizes these youth to acts of violence. This exposure to violence in the media
makes viewers less critical of real life violence. Since the media often represents
violence as happy violence devoid of pain, suffering, and consequences, they are not
providing the audience with an accurate or realistic portrayal of violence. Many
studies have also confirmed a cumulative effect of exposure to violence as
researchers have traced patterns from childhood exposure to adult social behavior.
The National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence was in charge
of investigating these issues and making recommendations to the President. The
media s task force report was titled, Violence and the Media. Conclusions drawn
from this report show that real violence was caused in part by the desire of action
groups for media attention; and that violence in society could be reduced if the news
gave groups the ability to enhance their communication. A particular focus of the
study was the

1.1 WHAT IS A NETWORK?
A) What is a network?
A network is simply a collection of machines connected in some way that allows them
to communicate with each other and share information. To do this the machines have
to be connected in some way that allows communication, and have an agreed upon a
language to talk when they do communicate.
Components of a network might include individual hosts, some form of

generally have a lower throughput than a LAN. All of the LANs on the CQU campus

1.4 SOME MORE DEFINITIONS
Like any field of computing, networking has its own terminology. This section
provides definitions for some of the terms you ll come across.
В·Packets and datagrams
Many networking protocols transmit information as packets. Information being sent
across the network is divided into small (hundreds of bytes usually) chunks of data,
called packets. The networking software at the sending end will break the outgoing
data into packets. When the packets arrive at their destination the networking
software on the receiving machine will put them all back together.
In some cases not all the packets will arrive at the destination using the same route.
The packets may also arrive out of order, packet 50 might arrive before packet 49.
The networking software handles all of this.
Under TCP/IP packets are often referred to as datagrams. Ethernet, on type of
networking hardware, refers to packets as frames

of morality and could not just be left up to each individual territory to figure out for
themselves. All because of the Kansas Nebraska act that had had one line with a

breaking away from Great Brittan is a huge part of our history and culture still

Another perspective that had a good outcome is Canada being involved with the
War in Afghanistan. Canada was able to extend its hand and help Afghanistan in a
time of crisis. Afghanistan is a very poor country and has very harsh weather
conditions. In order to help Canada served in the Afghanistan Theater of operations.
This allowed general living standards for Afghanistan citizens, and helped some
parts of the country out of extreme poverty. This National Interest is one that helped
to benefit one country and the other country involved didn t loose anything in terms

of grief to many families.

19. Hills Like White Elephants Analysis
A Life or Death Decision How difficult is it to make a decision that could potentially
ruin one s life? Ernest Hemingway s explores this question in his short story, Hills
Like White Elephants. The story is a concise conversation between an American man
and a girl. The names of the characters as well as their relationship status remain
unknown. For the entirety of the short story, the characters sit in a train station
perturbed about making a decision on a potential operation of the girl. The man and
the girl go back and forth contesting what they should do about the operation. The
story ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the reader unaware of the girl s final resolution.
In Hemingway s short story, Hills Like White Elephants, his use of symbols,
innuendos, and dialogue create a high level of tension for the man and the girl which
ultimately conveys the difficulty of the decision that the couple must make together.
Throughout the story, the man and the girl drink alcohol to deivert them from
dealing with their problems. Every time the couple gets closer to deciding what to
do about the operation, one of them suggests that they get another beer. In the story,
the man says, I don t want you to do anything that you don t want to do. The girl
answers with Nor that isn t good for me and the man replies Could we have another
beer? (Hemingway 125). The alcohol is their escape from reality. It calms them and
helps them avoid the situation at hand. The alcohol may have

The book I chose to read for the fourth quarter is called Rebel Belle . This book was
written by Rachel Hawkins. I was excited to read this book because the cover
looked very girly and it seemed like a book I would be interested to read. This book
is about a girl named Harper Jane Price, whose life is suddenly changed forever, all
because she forgot to put on her favorite lip gloss. On the night of the Homecoming
dance, Harper is expecting to win the title of Homecoming Queen, dance the night
away, and leave feeling happier than ever. But this plan didn t exactly work out in
her favor. She goes to the bathroom to freshen up and soon is faced with a dying
janitor, a teacher with a scimitar, and an experience that will change her life forever....

Many women struggle to overcome obstacles in their lives. Sometimes they find it
difficult to leave abusive relationships and end up never leaving. But some women
are brave or work up the courage to take a stand and leave the situation. In the short
story, Women Hollering Creek , Sandra Cisneros explains the theme of the story by
telling about a womanwho s husband abuses her. The story describes the
experiences of a young women named Cleofilas. She grew up with six brothers and
had no mother. So therefore, she learned how to be a woman through watching
telenovelas. She believes that to be a woman she only needs to find true love and

Few museums last the test of time. For years the Philadelphia Museum of Art have
continued to invest in their visitors, providing them with an environment where they
can create memorable experiences. The Philadelphia Museum of Art began as an art

notably known as the World s Fair, was held in Fairmount Park, in Philadelphia, to
celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
After the Exhibition, the PMA art gallery moved into an already constructed building,

27. Blood Spatter Investigation Essay
Introduction: For my Mathematics Internal Assessment, I focused on how the
diameter of a blood droplet was affected by the height in which they were shot at.
When I watch criminal shows, they always estimate a person s height by the way
blood is spread out and I wondered if the diameter of a droplet really did change
with the height where they were shot at, and if it was an effective method of
presuming the height where the victim was hit at the time they were shot. This
topic has always interested me as when I was younger, I wanted to be a forensic
scientist and the way they solved crimes always intrigued me. Specifically, the way
they conducted tests at the crime scene such as blood spatter analysis. My aim is to
find how related the height of the bullet entry is with the diameter of a blood
droplet, and by doing that I will have to conduct my own experiment as there is no

AIR DEFENSE OF FRANCE There are many small countries out there, but France
is one of the most powerful small countries there are. Even though France is smaller
than the state of Texas it still ranks in the world s top ten power rankings. In order to
understand a countries true power you have to know the terrain, history of the
country. You also have to know about their militaryand defense systems. You cannot
defeat a country if you do not know their full capabilities. You cannot expect to rank
in the world s top power rankings and not be able to defend your country against all
enemies. France first became a country in 987, known as the Kingdome of France.
When the Kingdom of France became a country, it faced many wars, fighting over
land with the English monarchs, and even more so when Latter inherited Spain that
surrounded the country of France. It was not until the 1700s that France started
playing a major role in the European and world events. In the 20th century, France
has experienced numerous crises, including the devastation of two world wars,
political and social upheavals, and the loss of large empires Indochina, Algeria,

Not only does having an addiction hurt people, it could create liars. If the spouse

Similarity
Between the two subjects, Cybersex and Pornographgy, and Online Video

denominator. It also states the obvious of anyone with an addiction needs
counseling help. There are many ways to help out someone in need with an
addiction: (Earle Earle 1995) Many addicts and family members join self help
groups modeled on the 12 steps of AA (106). There needs to be more ways to put
out there that there is help for these types of people. Another problem of people not
going to help groups or counselors is they do not feel comfortable and trusted, as
stated in (Earle Earle 1995) Most family members will demand that the therapist
demonstate again and again that they can be trusted and that (s)he will not neglect,
reject, or abandon the patient (104).

Project Summary
I worked on many small projects this summer. However they can be summarized as
follows: building tools to improve quality and efficiency in the pack department;
analyzing our process of chasing CPT s and leading the SIOC testing at CHA1. I was
able to build 3 tools, a Pack Head Count Macro (Appendix A B), a Pack Rate Puller
Macro (Appendix C D), and a Planning Board for Outbound Macro (Appendix E F)
all of these tools were created to be used on Day and Night Shift. I was able to
analyze the process of chasing CPT s using two methods, a profitability analysis and
analyzing the rates of packers. Finally, I helped start up and run SIOC testing at our
site. To show the effectiveness of the three tools I have created, I will explain how
the process worked before the tool I created, describe how my tool works, and then
detail how it changed the process, for each tool. The analysis of chasing CPT s I
will first talk about our current CPT chasing program, then walk through my two
analyses. Then I will discuss how I set up SIOC testing, how I ensured it would
continue running successfully and the plan I have put in place to ensure it continues
effectively once I leave. Then I will talk about the benefits of each project. Finally, I
will wrap up with a conclusion and acknowledgements.

Literature. The period after the Middle Agesis known as the Renaissancein Europe.
This era ushered in a sense of cultural renewal with a focus on classical learning and
values of ancient Greece and Rome. During the time of the Renaissance, politics
were relatively stable and there was a sense of expanding prosperity. Because of this,
the development of new technologies such as printing presses, a new system of

literature, and art were also becoming synonymous with the Renaissance era. The
style of painting, sculpture and decorative arts identified with the Renaissance

Edgar Allan Poe Edgar Allan Poe lived a sad, pitiful life. His poems are depressing

Edgar Allan Poe uses figurative language, and precision of language to explain
how he lost the love of his life, Annabel Lee. One example of figurative language in
the poem Annabel Lee is when Poe wrote, And neither the angels in Heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea can ever dissever my soul from the soul of the
beautiful Annabel Lee. His point in saying this is that his love for her is so great,
that he feels other worldly powers such as angels or demons could not diminish or
corrode his love for her. A second example of Poe s figurative language in the poem
Annabel Lee, is when poe wrote, I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom

With a love that the Seraphs in Heaven Coveted her and me. By saying this, Poe
says that he feels the Heavens are Jealous of him and his Annabel Lee. Jealousy,
According to the Bible, is a sin. He, of course, was not being literal. Poe was simply

Primordial school Primordial school and modernist school are two very important
main streams in identity study. Especially, in the national identity study, both of
them have involved the study of nationalism and have a very unlike view of it. And
they are often highly debated of the origins of nations and their identity. The root of
primordial school is originally based on the German romanticism and it mainly
argues how those fixed factors influence in identity shape process. Those factors are
constantly stable throughout the history and hardly changed. The factors have been
passed on to generations and constructing the identity of people who lives in
nowadays. For example, language is one of these elements. Language is unique and
distinct from other ones. People who speak this language will have their own identity
and formed a special group which makes them different from other language
speaking groups. And in primordial school idea, same language speaking group will
result in similar thought. Because of people learn language from the community
where they live and each community will has its thought or behavior. These will
transmit to people who learn that language. Therefore, for primordial school language
is one of the key elements in identity shaping. Another pivotal and principle factor for
shaping identity is the kinship. Primordial school argues that people joining into
groups by their blood or genetic relationship with each other. Family members will
gather and

The Government aims to reduce emissions to 60% lower than 2000 levels by 2050,
and its medium term target ranges between 5 and 15% below 2000 levels by 2020.
According to the government, Australia needs to reach an universal agreement so
that atmospheric contents of greenhouse gases can be stabilized at around 450 parts
per million of CO2E (Carbon Dioxide Equivalent). The government has realized that
to achieve this global commitment with such action is going to be challenging in the
future. The medium term targets set by Australia are quite similar to that of many
other countries that have announced their targets. For example: the European Union

The working of the ETS is mainly based on emitters of any six greenhouse gases

and auditing done on the total amount of emissions the industries produce. During
the end of every financial year, each firm surrenders a permit for each tonne of
emissions they produced during that year. Limited amounts of permits are issued by
the Government every year and entities compete to buy the amount of permits they
need. The permits are mostly auctioned or traded in the secondary market and firms
who consider the permits of high value pay a lot for them. Reducing emissions than
buying permits is a convenient choice for smaller firms. Few other firms are

say that they are broke and you need to marry Cal to insure our survival. They were
not born into money, but using money to become the elite. It did not matter at the
point about love or anything else as long as they were secure financially and back
them it was a big deal to have money and social status. Rose was not about money
nor was she about fitting in with the first the class elite, she at one point in the
movie realizes while watching a little girl at another table going through what she
did as a child learning how to eat, use silverware and how to sit, walk and talk she
realizes that status does not matter that happiness does and that even with money
and social status you can still be trapped and still not fit in with the realms of
society. Cal on the other hand is within the caste system of class and therefore is all
about money and social status and what society thinks. He thinks that money can
buy anything and at the level certain things are expected from others. I find this kind
of attitude appalling and so tired of society allowing this kind of behavior from
people with money and treating others differently because we re not in that social
class or have that type of money. People should be treated equal. Another thing in the
movie that was appalling but another truth of the matter that more people could have
survived on the Titanic had they had the social

one and only way to get materials out of earths surface, however it has a major
affect on the environment, which then affect the people. The impacts can vary
depends on what type of mine it is, for example if it a uranium mines, then it is
guaranteed that the surrounded area, water, soil and vegetables will be turned it to
radioactive materials. Uranium will decay by emitting alpha particles
accompanied by weak gamma radiation, which travels at the speed of light
(3*108). Since alpha particle travels at the speed of light, it can penetrate human s
organs and could kill people (Radiation protection, 2015). A Half life of uranium
238 is 4.47 billion years, which means even after the mine is shout down the place
will be radio active for billions of years. This can result in children being born with
disabilities. Scientists have found that uranium can bind to human DNA (research,
2006). Coal mines are not as harmful as uranium mines at the same time coal mines
are not ineffective. Bad coal mining practices can result in ignition of coal fires,
which can burn for a long periods as well as releasing fly ash and smoke laden with
greenhouse gasses and toxic chemicals. Furthermore coal mining releases methane
gas, methane is a greenhouse gas 20 times more powerful than carbon dioxide, which
increases global worming (Mining impacts,
45. Organic Contamination
GMOs (GMOs genetically modified organisms), are made for human and/or creature
use by utilizing the most exceptional atomic science methods. The plants and/or edits
here and there have been modified in a research center to upgrade certain imperative
characteristics, for example, expanded imperviousness to herbicides or enhance
beneficial worth. The improvement is typically embraced through reproducing. In the
previous decade hereditarily altered sustenance have been up for discussion about
whether these nourishments are valuable to our general public or on the off chance
that they are really destructive. GMO sustenance is an issue on the grounds that it
gives organic contamination and GMO significantly influences to nature and
humankind.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A study drove by Doug Gurian Sherman who is a lead researcher in UCS
Sustenance and Environment System, demonstrates that hereditarily built corn
assortments have just expanded harvest yields possibly while designed soybean
assortments have not expanded yields by any means. The UCS properties the
generous increment in harvest yields over the previous decade to a great extent to
customary reproducing and changes in rural aptitudes. Indeed the study ventures to
suggest that the U.S. Bureau of Horticulture expel subsidizing from GMO
contemplates and divert it to other, more useful uses and projects. This disputable
point has numerous contentions some of which I was not able say yet I have still to
some degree possessed the capacity to detail my own sentiment with respect to the
theme. On the premise of Hereditary building we can reason that it is still in its
earliest stages and shockingly little is thought about its results in both short and more
terms on people, while even less is known with respect to its impacts on the
46. Male Gaze In The Male Gaze
The Male Gaze is a phrase coined by Laura Mulvey, in which she examines how
through media, the portrayal of women has evolved and is seen through the eyes of
the male perspective. After the 1960 s sexual revolution, films started to incorporate
women as a more objectified aspect, demonstrated by the visual representation of how
they provocatively use their bodies.
In this essay we will be specifically examining the male gaze in the 1999 s cult
classic, Fight Club from both the protagonist and antagonist view and how we as the
audience view ourselves, dissected from the way the characters view themselves.
Fight Club is based on a book by Chuck Palahniuk, centred around a heavily
depressed man (Narrator) who is suffering from insomnia. ... Show more content on

The narrator encounters Marla after she begins attending the self help groups he
attends in order to cope with his insomnia. She attends a self help group for
testicular cancer, an obvious giveaway that she, like him, is there under false
pretence. He states that ..her lie reflected my lie, and suddenly I felt nothing, I
couldn t cry and so I couldn t sleep (Fight Club 2006, p. 7)
Similarly to the Mirror Stage , theorised by Lacan, he has identified his own trait in
the opposite sex. Through a process of identification which parallels Lacan s famous
mirror stage, he derives pleasure from identifying with an ideal image[...] (Laura
Mulvey and the Male Gaze 2015)
From the Narrator s male gaze, he initially doesn t see her as an object of any desire.
Her portrayal towards the audience is almost corpse like, as seen in the image below.

With the progression of the film, the narrator begins to feel a sense of inferiority
when Marla and Tyler starting having sexual relations. In turn, he begins to both
subconsciously and consciously sexually fantasise about
