2. INTRODUCTION
• An Antiparkinsonian is an agent used in the treatment of
Parkinson's disease.
• Antiparkinsonians are intended to control the symptoms
of Parkinson's disease.
• Antiparkinsonians are used to treat the muscle stiffness
and tremor associated with Parkinson's disease.

3. CAUSES
• Family history
• Genetic mutation
• Protein misfolding
• Oxidative stress
• Mitochondrial dysfunction

• Difficulty standing

• It is administered by orally.
• It absorbed from small intestine.
• The half life is 0.2 to 2 hours.
• It metabolized by dopa decarboxylase in GIT and blood vessels.
• It is excreted by Urine.

• Dyskinesia
• Diarrhea
• Nausea Vomiting
• Constipation
• Abdominal Pain
• Orthostatic Hypotension
• Lethargy
• Psychosis
