Qualities Of A Good Teacher Essay
Crafting an essay on the qualities of a good teacher is a task that requires a thoughtful approach
and careful consideration. It demands not only a clear understanding of the subject matter but
also the ability to express ideas coherently and persuasively. The challenge lies in delving deep
into the multifaceted role of a teacher and identifying the key attributes that contribute to their
effectiveness.
One difficulty in composing such an essay is the need for extensive research to gather insights
into various teaching methodologies, educational philosophies, and real-life examples. The writer
must sift through a plethora of information to discern the most relevant and impactful qualities
that make a teacher exceptional. Moreover, striking a balance between theoretical concepts and
practical examples is crucial to ensure the essay resonates with readers.
Another challenge is articulating thoughts in a structured manner. The essay should have a well-
defined introduction, body, and conclusion. Each paragraph must seamlessly transition to the
next, creating a cohesive narrative that engages the reader. The language used should be precise,
yet evocative, conveying the significance of each discussed quality without becoming overly
verbose.
Furthermore, it is essential to avoid clichГ©s and generalizations. The essay should delve beyond
superficial traits, providing insightful analysis and perhaps addressing potential
counterarguments. Balancing personal opinions with objective observations can be tricky,
requiring a nuanced approach to maintain credibility.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the qualities of a good teacher demands a combination of
research, analytical skills, and effective communication. It is a challenging task that requires
dedication and attention to detail. However, with the right approach, the result can be a
compelling piece that sheds light on the multifaceted nature of effective teaching.

Keoko s When My Name Was Keko
When everything is going wrong have you wanted to give up? Did you feel scared
and want to cry? Well in Keko and Akira went through hard time but they never
gave up. Nobody Knows by Shelley Tanaka, a fiction novel and When my name

Keoko. Keoko had to change her name because the taliban were taking over. In the
book Nobody knows Akia mother left for no reason and he had to take care of his
siblings all by himself. When characters go through hard times they become stronger
with the help of their family friends and others. When characters go through hard

Akira and his family just moved in to a new house. Then one morning Akira finds
a note saying his mom is not going to be home for a while. This is proven when the
text stated, he didn t know what to tell the others, so he did not say anything at
first ( Tanka 41). This shows that Aria had to be strong for his siblings so they did
not get scared. Another time the characters were in a hardship was when Yuki was
standing on the chair to get something but then fell off and died. Akira had to stay
strong for his siblings, so they did not get scared. This is shown in this part of the
text: Yuki he ran to her and bent down, shook her. Gently at first, then harder (

Robin Morg A Truly Inspiring Woman
Robin Morgan is thought of as a truly inspiring woman. When she was just a
couple of months old, she starred in prize baby contests and transitioned into
modeling as a toddler. In 1945, at a young age, she had a nationally syndicated
radio show before she delved in acting where she became immensely successful.
Against the will of her mother, at the young age of fourteen, she left acting to
pursue a career in writing, having had the dream of being a writer since she was
four years old. At the age of seventeen, she published several of her poems in various
literary magazines. She went on to write numerous diverse styles of successful works
and quickly became highly regarded by several organizations. Our such organization,

The Effects Of Second Hand Smoke On Children
Second Hand Smoke
Do people know second hand smoke not only affects the person smoking, but it also
affects the people around them? Not everyone is aware of the risks of second hand
smoke nor how it can effect their future. Second hand smoke is an issue that affects
everyone and everybody around it such as unborn children, children, adults, non
smokers and should be avoided as much as possible.
What exactly is second hand smoke? Second hand smoke is a combination of
burning tobacco and the exhaled smoke. Not only is first hand smoke harmful, but
second hand smoke is as bad if not worse for a person. Smoke in general smells badly,
can irritate people s eyes or nose, sticks to clothing or materials, can make someone
s hair smell, and other things as well. Everyone should avoid second hand smoke as
much as possible.
First comes the unborn children that are affected by adults that expose them to
second hand smoke. Women who smoke during pregnancy risk their unborn child by
smoking and their child receiving the second hand smoke in the womb. Second hand
smoke can cause birth defects, low birth weight, SIDS, and many other problems.
One birth defects includes clef lip or pallet caused by second hand smoke while in
the womb. Women who smoke while pregnant risk health issues that are just unfair to
the unborn child who cannot make its own choices yet.
Secondly, there are also children effected by second hand smoke in many ways. It s
estimated that about 1 out of every 4 children
The Van Allen Belts
Space is very, very big. And it s also very, very, dangerous. We humans are squishy
and don t live particularly long lives here on Earth, and that s even before the
extensive toll our bodies suffer due to space, in accordance with aforementioned
squishiness. The amount of challenges there are in sending people beyond our planet
are immense. We have to worry about air, food, waste, radiation, communication,
bone loss due to zero g. Simply getting up there is a challenge, and then we have to
worry about getting home. Due to this long list of concerns, humans have been
relegated to a very small corner of our solar system. The record breakers for furthest
humans from home remain the handful of men that walked on the moon during the

the US and USSR had a silent gentleman s agreement to split their duties in space.
Russia was to focus its efforts on Venus, and the US was to engage in wide range

involved the idea of the Grand Tour. It was noticed that the planets were aligning in
just the right way not to guarantee finding love, or the coming of a great apocalypse
but in an arrangement that would allow a single spacecraft to fly past all the outer
planets in record time, using a maneuver called a gravity assist [5]. The mission

Contraction and Spread of Streptococcus pyogenes
Contraction and Spread of Streptococcus pyogenes
Abstract:
Streptococcus pyogenes is a very common bacteria found in humans. It is very
transmissible and can be caught through the air via coughing or sneezing. This form
of Strep. illness is referred to as Streptococcal pharyngitis, also known as Strep.
throat, which can complicate into Scarlet Fever. It is also possible to be infected
through abrasions of the skin, which can result in cellulitis, impetigo, or even
necrotizing fasciitis. Aside from human to human contact, these bacteria can also be
found in unpasteurized milk. There is no vaccine for Streptococcal infections, though
antibiotics such as penicillin still work very well against them.
Introduction:
S. pyogenes is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also very transmissible through shaking hands, and handling something that a
person with infected with pyogenes has touched. These are the most common ways to
contract Strep. throat. (2,3)
Also, contraction is very possible through the skin via abrasions both small and
large. This type of infection would be contracted from exposure to other people
harboring the bacteria, bacteria in the air, or bacteria on the injured person. Being
infected this way can rarely result in necrotizing fasciitis. It is also very possible,
albeit very rare, that Streptococcus pyogenes can be transmitted through food, most
notably milk and its products. This form of infection is usually caused by improper
or lack of pasteurization of the milk. The bacteria that are responsible hardly ever
come from an outside source, and are usually present within the cow when infected
milk is produced. However, these two other methods of transmission are far less
likely than the usual human to human respiratory infections. (6,2,1)
After the bacteria are first taken into the body, there is an incubation period of
between one and five days. During incubation the bacteria are very capable of
infected others without the host having any knowledge of an infection. This is
important in the spread of Strep. infections, which will often occur through contact
between children while at school. It is no mistake that the
On The Waterfront, by Elia Kazan Essay
For a near championship boxer to fall from the limelight after a defeat is fairly
common, but to lose due to his own brother betting against him is unheard of. Elia
Kazan s On the Waterfront portrays the role of this former fighter living his life as
a bum under a local mob boss. This movie stands out from how movies are
portrayed today. It didn t have a lot of fast chase scenes, immense battles, or over
the top special effects. This movie focused on its characters, by portraying their
reactions to the cumbersome niche they play on the dockyard. It was driven by a
series of intertwined conflicts, and a strong mix of character development and
storytelling, and made for a phenomenal piece of art. Conflict is what viewers watch
movies for,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She is portrayed as moral innocence, beckoning to Terry to tell the truth and bring
justice to those that slew her brother. She helps the audience relate to an outsider
looking in on a society that has accepted their role as slaves to those with greater
power. Father Barry, a minister who preaches against the crimes of the mob,
pushes Terry along the path to truth. He urges him to speak out against his
oppressors for the good of the entire dock. He brings a strong sense of justice and
righteous action to a community otherwise broken and accepting of their roles as
thralls. The conflicts fueling this story are also provided by a livid cast of
characters and a dark story to be told. Development of both characters and story can
be hard to draw a fine line on, but On the Waterfrontwalks that line like an acrobat.
There was a strong emphasis on getting the viewer to feel what the main characters
were feeling. As Father Barry gave his crucifixion speech, the emotions and reactions
portrayed by the father and his onlookers simply added to the powerful statements he
was preaching. The dockworkers with no connections in the mob knew he spoke the
truth, and yet their faces showed that they were too afraid to even mention working
conditions or recent killings committed by the mob. Although the movie had an
emphasis towards building knowledge only about the main characters, background
characters only amplified the feelings the audience
Television And Internet News Programs
News or Nonsense Television and internet news programs have began to stray
away from a strictly informative report of current happenings to vague, non
factually based entertainment stories. This is a direct result of society s desire to
worry about everyone s feelings. In the past, viewers passionately desired accurate
information and statistics on the nation s current events. As of now, a different
generation of viewers and new s providers bestow the supply and demand of news
stories based on emotions, rather than fact. With extremist groups becoming
increasingly popular the demand for highly biased news is snowballing. New s
corporations like FOX capitalize on this by providing news that is consistently
biased to one point of view. Having a one sided production such as FOX creates a
type of animosity between them and their competition. This seems rather childish,
making these top tier new companies look like a joke. In result, a viewer will
struggle to find a new s broadcast that provides more than a couple of relevant
stories based on factual information. Instead, the bulk of content is displayed in a
look at me, feel bad for me, or look at them format. From this, the broadcasters
work at the heart strings of their viewers. They get the viewer to invest emotion into
a story, creating a reaction and desire to hear, see, and feel more. Given the response,
broadcasters see interest in emotionally based stories skyrocket and interest in
factually based stories
Romantic Emotionism In Alexander Pope s The Rape Of
The Lock
Most of life s moments have little import. Each day often screams no more of
significance than the day preceding. There are a few moments throughout life that
manage to contain, within themselves, the power to change the course of one s life,
but more often than not, the moments we give importance to are fairly trivial events,
changing or altering nothing more than any other day. We find that those more
common moments are created by culture, cultivated in a society that believes that
something about a day or a time though nothing significant changes, like birthdays
demarking a specific time on a continuum makes it special. This same brand of
cultural elevation affects physical features and infrequent, though insignificant still,
actions. Alexander Popes The Rape of the Lockcharts that influence in society and,
with verse dripping with wit, questions what we hold dear. The Rape of the Lock
is written as a heroic Romantic poem, dealing in turns with romance and violence.
Canto Three is perhaps Pope s best encapsulation of Romantic passion in the poem.
The card game is told a conflict between semi personified cards and their players,

Introduction
The name of the product is Gulab Herbal Ubtan that shows that its main ingredients
are Gulab (Rose) and Herbal Ubtan. Ubtan is very popular in India. The Kangra
Hill Care Cure Company recently launched a skin care product Hill Queen Gulab
Herbal Ubtan. The company is located in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India. This
company was established in 2002. My purpose is to launch my product in Sarnia
Canada. The first launch is on the experimental basis, if I observe success then I can
expand it to other cities as well. To meet my purpose successfully, I did extensive
research on targeted market of personal care products. However, I focused the entire
globe because I want to prove, my choice is precise.
Research and Analysis
Surprisingly, females and males are becoming a strong candidate for skin care
products. Therefore, the Indian manufacturers are developing family care brands.
They are also producing male and female brands separately. Nonetheless, the male
segment of the market is not so big now. It is, just 8% of the 10 billion dollars
Indian market of personal care.

In spite of the fact that, it is surprising that maturing population will be the main
customer of the personal care
There Are All Kinds Of Music
There are all kinds of emo type of music/songs. Adults would think that emo music is
the cause for all the suicides, depression, self harm, homicide and what not, but it is
not completely true. Emo music is must more than adults bargain for. Emo music
have real deep meanings in their lyrics, they may have some dark language in their
music, but some bands don t mean for it to influence others. Emomusic helps those
who need to escape from reality and enter the world of music. Emo music may not
be rap, hip hop, or classical, but emo music is like a therapist; trying to help those
who needs salvation or who lends a shoulder to those who are misunderstood. Adults

Just because a band wears dark and scary clothes, have somewhat depressing lyrics,
does not mean that they are a cult or involved with anything satanic. Emo bands
are like angels; they help one another feel safe and comfortable. There may be
some wannabe emo bands, but not all of them are fake. Black Veils Brides is a
good example for the guardian angel. Black Veil Brides is a popular heavy metal
/rock band who claim to be something as The Ultimate Outcasts, due to their
eccentric looks and rough childhoods from bullying for being different and unique.
They have helped so many in choosing the right path, lending them an ear, or gave
them something to live for. When they can, fans use the opportunity to show or
tell BVB of how they have been living their lives. The majority of the fan base have
artwork on their arms, legs, hips, etc. That has suddenly decreased. Fans say that
they used to cut themselves but stopped because Black Veils Brides music has
saved them. BVB will always be there for their fans. Andy Biersack, also known as
Andy Sixx, has written a song called Saviors because he wanted to give something
for his fans known as the BVB Army as a thank you for always being there for him
and the band. Throughout the song, he constantly reminds his fans that, even though
he s only human, he s going to try and do everything he can to help them through
their lives. When Andy sings, ...I will take this burden on,
Physical Health Problems
The physical health problems caused by the computers for children
Introduction
The invention of the electronic tools e.g. computers make people lead an efficient
and convenient life. The efficiency, convenience and practicability of the electronic
tools e.g. computers attract both adults and children, and make them use these tools
in their daily life (ThomГ©e, 2015). As has been seen, the use of computers and in
adults work is becoming more frequent and majority of children use these tools in
their daily life as well. However, the long time use of computers may caused some
problems, and one of the problems is the physical health problem. When using a
computer, no matter a laptop or a desktop, the user do not need to move. These
behavior would normally be defined as sedentary behavior, which may make the user
to do less physical exercise, fit less physically and suffer more risk of health
problems. The problem may be solved by three solutions, the first seems to make
children use computer in a right posture, the second may be some physical exercises
and another solution seems to decrease children s time spent on computers.
Physical health problem caused by computers
According to Kimmerly (2009), over 90% of children aged 3 18 in the US used
computers, and with children aged, more children started to use computer related
activities. However, the long time of uses of these electronic tools may lead to
physical health problems to children. For example visual strain, lack life
Analysis Of The Garden Of Earthly Delights
Throughout our class I have been shown many astounding works of art that tantalize
the eyes, mind and soul. From the astounding sculptures of Michelangelo the the
complex drawing of Da vinci and countless other artist that changed the world of art,
architecture and design. Though there was one work that we came across in class
recently that made me feel different compared to all the others i ve been shown. It
was beautiful yet disgusting, heavenly yet sinister, and more than anything
compelling. I am referring to a triptychpainting done by H. Bosch entitled Garden of
Earthly Delights .
The picture immediately stood out from the rest somewhat having an uncanny
modern feel to it. The piece is a 3 panel painting, also known as a triptych, The
Garden of Earthly Delights, oil on oak panels, 220 cm Г— 389 cm with each section
showing images of religion, damnation and over all madness. I was instantly
intrigued by what my eyes were taking in and then shortly after learning about how
there is so much mystery and uncertainty to the work only heightened this feeling. I
was hoping that looking the work up on my own time would be able to answer at
least some of my many questions; this was not the case. Solid factual information on
the pieces is extremely limited including the date of completion, the persons who
commissioned it, the purpose for it being commissioned, and most of all the meaning
and message the piece was meant to inflict. The accurate dating of The Garden of

Key Events in the Reformation
Thesis Statement: These key events reforming religion are what shaped the world
for good and for bad in the 14th to the 19th century. The Reformation was full of
war and inventions that many had never seen before, affecting the religious and
social political systems in positive and negative ways. The first event in the
Reformation was the Printing Press. The Printing Press enabled the circulation of
the bible, starting the spread of Christianity and the Catholics. The Printing Press
was created by Johannes Gutenberg in 1450. Before the Printing Press the bible had
to be printed by hand, which meant that the copies had to be written word for word.

There were wars during this Reformation in the 16th and 17th century that took
place in many parts of Europe. The first wars took place in central and southern
Europe, between the Christians and the Muslims. The Christians and the Muslims
had been fighting each other ever since the Crusades from the 11th to the 13th
century; also in the Spanish Reconquista from the 8th to the 15th century; and the
Ottoman Wars in Europe from the 15th to 19th century. The wars that were the
longest lasting were the wars between the Protestant and the Catholics. These wars
were some of the bloodiest wars in the European wars of religion. The war between
the Protestants and Catholics is called the 30 Year s War which was the longest in
the war of religions. The Counter Reformation came better late than never as they
were much needed. The Council of Trent had a major role in the counter. The
Council of Trent fought for the Reformers in every way possible. The Council of
Trent believed in the areas of tradition, original sin, justification, sacraments, the
holy masses, and the veneration (honoring) of saints. The Council of Trent and the
Catholics fought to become more spiritual, educated, and literate. The reformation
was a long and bloody time. There are many ways to look at this time period. Some
say it is from the church perspective and say these religions were fighting for what is
right. I for sure will be
Employee Contribution Limit Analysis
According to Investopedia, a 401(k) plan is a qualified plan established by
employers to which eligible employees may make salary deferral (salary reduction)
contributions on a post tax and/or pretax basis. Employers offering a 401(k) plan
may make matching or non elective contributions to the plan on behalf of eligible
employees and may also add a profit sharing feature to the plan. Earnings accrue on
a tax deferred basis. (401(k), 2003) A qualified plan is a retirement plan which is
organized and designed for the benefit of a company s employees. However, both
the company and its employees receive considerable tax benefits when by
participating in a qualified plan. Since Salem Company matches 50% of the employee

The employer contribution limit for these employee s is based on the employers
overall 401(k) participation rate. The contribution to the pool of HCE s cannot be
more than 125% of the average of all on the non HCE s contributions.
Consequently, the amount of the contribution is really dependent on how many
non HCEs are participating in the company s 401(k) plan. If payments made are in
excess of the 125% threshold to HCEs, then the funds must be refunded to the
employee. The employee may use those funds to re contribute to their 401(k) as a
post tax employee contribution. Any post tax contributions made must be reported
as taxable income for tax filing purposes. (Publication 7335, 2015) Actual Deferral
Percentage (ADP) is an annual test in a 401(k) plan that assesses the average
salary deferrals of HCE s to that of non highly compensated employee s (NHCE s).
An employee s deferral percentage is the percentage of compensation that has been
deferred to the 401(k) plan. The deferral percentages of the HCEs and NHCEs are

The objective of this lab was to create a ketone through an oxidation reaction using a
using a secondary alcohol and oxidizing agent in order to use that ketone in a
reduction reaction with a specific reducing agent to determine the affect of that
reducing agent on the diastereoselectivity of the product. In the first part of this
experiment, 4 tert butylcyclohexanol was reacted with NaOCl, an oxidizing agent,
and acetic acid to form 4 tert butylcyclohexanone. In the second part of this
experiment, 4 tert butylcyclohexanone was reacted with a reducing agent, either
NaBH4 in EtOH or Al(OiPr)3 in iPrOH, to form the product 4 tert
butylcyclohexanol. 1H NMR spectroscopy was used to determine the cis:trans
ratio of the OH relative to the tert butyl group in the product formed from the
reduction reaction with each reducing agent. Thin layer chromatography was used
in both the oxidation and reduction steps to ensure that each reaction ran to
completion. In an oxidation reaction, the number of C H bonds decreases or the
number of C O bonds increases, while in a reduction reaction, the number of C H
bonds increases or the number of C O bonds decreases. In the oxidation step of this
reaction, 4 tert butylcyclohexanone is formed from when a C H bond is lost while a
C O bond is gained to create a carbonyl. In the reduction step, 4 tert
butylcyclohexanol is formed when the carbonyl is converted into an alcoholwhen a
nucleophilic hydride attacks the carbonyl. Whether the OH is in the

The On The Land Registration Act
CRITICALLY ANALYZE THE CHANGES BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE LAND
REGISTRATION ACT 2012 IN THE MANAGEMENT OF REAL PROPERTY IN
KENYA TAKING NOTE TO EXPLORE IN DETAIL THE FRAMEWORK THAT
HAS BEEN RELACED.
INTRODUCTION
The land registration ACT is an act of Parliament to revise, consolidate and
rationalize the registration of titles to land, to give effect to the principles and objects
of devolved government in land registration, and for connected purposes. What was
being revised is the old registration act which had to be altered to accommodate the
changes in the government layout and the mountain of complains they were
receiving from the public. The new act had to be physically more solid and efficient
if implemented well. The loopholes that were found in the earlier act had to be done
away with.
Land is one of the most controversial things in Kenya. So many people have been
displaced and their land grabbed by individuals who have developed talent in this
sector who have made it a business venture. Land that was designated for agriculture
and also as green zone have been depleted which has led major cities in Kenya such
as Nairobi unsustainable.
The current situation in Kenya is such that people do not know the boundary of their
land and most of the time they encroach on peoples land which has led to major
conflicts. The revised land registration act wants to remedy this situation so that
Kenya can be a safe zone when for both the citizens and investors.

Illusions In The Great Gatsby
A magician makes a living based on complex illusions shown to an audience for
entertainment. F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby shows the danger of living
these illusions. The American Dream of social mobility was at an all time high in the
1920s but was crushed by the corruption of the highest class. Magicians take the

destroys everything that made it extraordinary, completing the holocaust of The

the sense that he is a performer. When Nick and Jordan go into the library at one of

Wwii Impact
The impact that WWii had on the United States(U.S.) made a huge change . From
the amount of money that the U.S. made by creating the bombs and guns that were
used, to the amounts of immigration that was going on. WWii brought many
opportunities for the U.S. and here are some. World War 2 was a war that lasted 6
dreadful years. It all started, September 1,1939, when Adolf Hitlerstarted putting jews
in concentration camps. Then he moved on by taking over many parts of Germany
and Europe. The U.S. did not get involved until the day that the japanese struck
Pearl Harbor with a bomb on , December 7,1941. The U.S.started sending their
young boys and adult men to Germany to help free jews and stop Hitler. They

buying supplies that were needed to make the guns and bombs the U.S. was getting

So not everything was in America s favor, but it did impact the United States in

The Importance Of Technology In The Private Eye
The Private Eye (by Brian K. Vaughan, Marcos Martins with Muntsa Vicente), a sci
fi graphic novel, explores society s views on technology by defying what the reader
may expect by portraying a society that strongly opposes and fears current world
attitudes towards technology. Privacy in this world is seen as so exceedingly
important that society in it has completely rejected the internet. They still advance
technologically, but in a different direction than in the real world, and use various
kinds of masks and other appearance altering technologies for the sake of privacy.
They gravitate towards these types of technologybecause of familiarity, and deny
anything that could potentially compromise their privacy, like the internet.
Essentially, it s a moral thing, but to the degree that threatening privacy would be
like threatening their freedom. Privacy is part of what being a human is to these
people. It s a natural thing that everyone should have to them. This is where The
Private Eye and real life are most alike in that one s idea of what it is to be human
determines willingness to acceptnew technologies. Familiarity is what causes this
idea of what human is when it comes to accepting new technology or ideas.
In real life, people generally enjoy the ideas of sci fi esque technologies in theory.
The reason many inventions in science fiction don t actually exist is because they go
beyond what people consider human, at least the doable ones. Sure, technology is

Lord Darnley s Killer
Throughout history people have been fascinated by the mysteries created by
unsolved murders. One such homicide was of Lord Darnley, a Scottish nobleman, in
1567. Many theories have been offered concerning the nobleman s death, but the
facts of the murder still remain disputed! Yet, upon a closer study of the researched
information, the true identify of Lord Darnley s killer has been revealed to be his
manipulative wife, Mary Queen of the Scotts.
Background Information: Harry Oakes legacy came to an end when he was

Job Satisfaction
Contentment (or lack of it) arising out of interplay of employee s positive and
negative feelings toward his or her work. Job satisfaction has been defined as a
pleasurable emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one s job;[1] an affective
reaction to one s job;[2] and an attitude towards one s job.[3] Weiss (2002) has argued
that job satisfaction is an attitude but points out that researchers should clearly
distinguish the objects of cognitive evaluation which are affect (emotion), beliefs and
behaviours.[4] This definition suggests that we form attitudes towards our jobs by
taking into account our feelings, our beliefs, and our behaviors. Definition of Job

occurrences theory emerged in 1992, when Quarstein, McAfee, and Glassman stated
that job satisfaction is determined by two factors: situational characteristics and
situational occurrences. Situational characteristics are things such as pay,
supervision, working conditions, promotional opportunities, and company policies
that typically are considered by the employee before accepting the job. The situational
occurrences are things that occur after taking a job that may be tangible or intangible,
positive or negative. Positive occurrences might include 16 extra vacation time, while
negative occurrences might entail faulty equipment or strained coworker
relationships. Within this theoretical framework, job satisfaction is a product of both
situational factors and situational occurrences. Measurement of Job Satisfaction
Measuring job satisfaction is difficult, for it is an abstract personal cognition that
exists only in an individual s mind. To measure job satisfaction, one must have a
conceptual understanding of the construct in order to decide what indirect factors to
measure. Since there is no single agreed upon definition of job satisfaction, and no
widely accepted theory to explain it, it is
What Are The Similarities Between President Bill Clinton...
President Bill Clinton and President William Taft
Has anyone ever thought about our greatest presidents? Who was better than who?
Why? Many have and one can find the easy answers, but this paper goes deep into
the lives of two great presidents, President Bill Clinton and President William Taft.
President Clinton and President Taft were very different presidents for the United
States of America, however, President Clinton had a more accomplished
presidency because he signed the violent crime control and law enforcement, he
led the nation to a period of strong economic prosperity, and while he was in office,
unemployment rates were the lowest in decades. Read into the depths of both of
their lives and presidency, then anyone would agree. President Clinton s life was
very exciting and interesting, especially his early life. He was born on August 19,
1946 in Hope, Arkansas. His father died in a car crash 3 months before Bill was
born. He was left in the care of his mother, Virginia Cassidy Blythe. To provide for
Bill, his mother moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to study anesthesiology, while Bill
stayed with his grandparents, Elridge and Edith Cassidy. (Biography.com, April 25,
2017.) His grandparents, while opposites in many different ways, did well raising

Readiness And Enrichment Program Reflection Paper
I chose to apply to Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University because of
its unique educational programs, an assortment of service opportunities, and devotion
to biomedical research. As the first member of my immediate family to try to earn a
higher education degree, the Pre matriculation Readiness Enrichment Program
(PREP) is one that I believe will help with preparing for it. The transition to medical
schoolwill be challenging initially, but this program s commitment to providing early
exposure to its curriculum and acclimating its students to the school s environment
will be beneficial. Furthermore, the communal programs at Lewis Katz will enable
me to continue showing my devotion to the underserved population that helped raise
me. Growing up in Starrett City, Brooklyn, where the rate of homelessness was high,
contributed to my decision to volunteer at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, where I
helped underserved individuals obtain social services and other amenities.
Relational Cultural Theory Of Mother Daughter
Relationships
Jordan (2011) writes about the application of relational cultural theory to mother
daughter relationships. Relational cultural theory argues that the mother child
relationship continually changes due to social context and time, and therapy can help
children rework empathic failures and acute disconnections to question the absolute
certainty of poor mothering. There were several statements that Jordan (2011) argued
that I found particularly applicable to my life. The book chapter mentions that
immigrant mothers tend to lose the support of a larger familynetwork, and this can
affect mothering. There is also the mention of a desire for connection, and the lack of
a connection can lead to an inability to be authentic in a relationship.
The first point that I would like to mention is the idea that immigrant mothers lose
support of an extended family network (Jordan, 2011). My personal experience can
verify this my parents left their parents behind in Russia and rarely see them. The
only extended family I have in the United States are one aunt, one uncle, and two
cousins. I have not seen them since I was 14 years old. The impact of moving to a
different country far from other family has great consequences. As far as I know, my
parents have few connections to other adults who understand their cultural
background, and as a result have no way of knowing if they are integrating their
parenting beliefs appropriately with the surrounding American culture. In addition, I

To build an understanding of how communities of practice create organizational
value, we suggest thinking of a community as an engine for the development of social
capital. We argue that the social capital resident in communities of practice leads to
behavioral changes, which in turn positively influence business performance. We
identify four specific performance outcomes associated with the communities of
practice we studied and link these outcomes to the basic dimensions of social capital.
These dimensions include connections among practitioners who may or may not be
co located; relationships that build a sense of trust and mutual obligation, and a
common language and context that can be shared by community members. Our
conclusions are based on a study of seven organizations where communities of
practice are acknowledged to be creating value.

Wasko and Faraj (2000) describe three kinds of knowledge: knowledge as object ,
knowledge embedded within individuals , and knowledge embedded in a community

knowledge. Tacit knowledge is considered to be those valuable context based

Rohm Haas
Executive Summary
Rohm Haas recently introduced a new product, Kathon MWX, in order to exploit an
untapped portion (reservoir capacity under 1,000 gallons) of the biocide market. Even
with limited competition within this segment, Kathon MWX has not been able to
produce its annual target revenues, only capitalizing on roughly 6% of said target in a
5 month period. Large scale distributors, who exhibit the most buyer power and
influence over end customers in the industry, threaten manufacturer brand equity by
relabeling all biocide maintenance products under their own brands. Even though
Rohm Haas does not allow distributors to change the label on Kathon MWX, the lack
of end customer awareness for the manufacturer brands has ... Show more content on

The higher margin products also miss a benefit either in fungi or smell reduction.
Why should Rohm Haas expect large volume sales and scale economies on the
industry quality leading product when it s offered on the dollar menu? The
distributors operate a toll booth and the highest bidder gets to pass. Rohm Haas needs
a competitive value proposition that cannot be refused.
Evaluation Recommendation
Little or no brand awareness of Kathon 886 currently exists. By rebranding Kathon
MWX a brand extension of Kathon 886, Rohm and Haas Brand does not add any
value to the brand nor to the positioning of the new product. We recommend that
Rohm Haas markets Kathon MWX under a different name that better describes the
product and by which customers can recognize it. We suggest that that the new brand
name suggests something about the benefits of Kathon MWX, but more than a name
is needed.
To develop brand awareness for the rebranded MWX among end customers in the
short term, the company can continue its current strategy of pursuing distributors and
have them include the new brand name with the package. However, the strong sell
comes from raising prices (and margins) to distributors (see exhibit #2). Rohm Haas
can inherently raise its prices to a competitive level,

Influence Of Bebop
The origins and Influence of Bebop There were remarkable changes from 1939 to

different countries. Estimated results were 50 million to 85 million fatalities at
least 11 million people were killed. Not only the people but also other things were
missing with people died. However, people survived and became stronger. People
who survived from the tragic World War ll created new trend music named Bebop.

The most distinctive feature of bebop is that played by very small group. The
main instruments of bebop are trumpet and saxophone with rhythm section such as
piano, bass and drums. And there was informal Jam sessions that many musicians
are playing together without any practices or rehearsals so they could challenge
and learn each other. Bebop is still the most played song at jam sessions. Most of
all, African American invented bebop primarily. Later, Cool Jazz came up as a
new generation of Jazz after bebop from 1949 to 1955. The Cool Jazz means like
more comfortable and soft than bebop when bebop has a meaning of hot which
means very loud and exciting. Numbers of people in group raised up to nonets
(nine piece band). When bebop musicians were playing trumpet and saxophone
such as Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, Cool Jazz musicians had more numbers
of instruments to play even classical instruments were often found such as flute,
French horn and so on. Unlike bebop, importance of the arrangement and the
improvised solos are same when bebop cares improvised solo more than the
arrangement. Bebop and Cool Jazz each has very opposite meaning to each other
even locations are different. Bebop was associated with the East Coast when Cool
Jazz happened in West Coast especially in California. Historically, World War ll
had occurred during Cool Jazz era which made the mood of country very sad and
people had worries about the uncertainty of the future. This reflects Americans
attitudes to have subdued emotion and emotional self control in times of crisis

M.C. Escher Essay
M.C. Escher occupies a unique spot among the most popular artists of the past
century. While his contemporaries focused on breaking from traditional art and its
emphasis on realism and beauty, Escher found his muse in symmetry and infinity. His
attachment to geometric forms made him one of modernism s most recognizable
artists and his work remains as relevant as ever.
Escher s early works are an odd mix of cubism and traditional woodcut. From these
beginnings, one could already note Escher s fondness for repetition and clean shapes.
While simple and exploratory, these works were the signs of a nascent art career.
Beginning in the mid 1930s, Escher s work turned very pointedly to the style we
associate with him today. Some of his most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Something that recurs references itself. The reflection in a mirror of a mirror is
recursive: the reflected mirror is reflecting its own image and doing so
indefinitely. You ve also likely seen the Droste effect when using camcorders
hooked up to a TV or a computer: when the camcorder is looking at the screen, you
can see an infinite series of screens generate themselves, since the camcorder is
recording the same image that it s sending to the screen. The game Portal is a great
example of recursion, when two portals could be opened side by side in a narrow
space and looking in either one produced an infinite series of the same image.
Escher combined recursion and pattern repetition in a unique way. Some of the
works featuring this combination exhibits some complex mathematical and physical
ideas, but to the casual viewer the works are sublime. The swans image above
features this sort of combination. Note that the swans are tiled very precisely, with
the same distance from adjacent swans and swans in the next row. Note also that
they are in a closed loop, which is one construct made possible with recursion.
The above image is an example of the Mandelbrot set. The Mandelbrot set, along with
other sets, is an example of a fractal. Fractals are fundamentally based on the idea of
infinite recursion. If you zoom in to a particular spot in the fractal, you ll perhaps see
a different arrangement of patterns, but you would still be able to

In terms of external influences, it appeared that I cursed a lot when I was around my

Treatment Design, Implementation, and Evaluation
The goal of this modification project is to entirely eliminate my use of cursing. A
secondary goal, if the primary one is not met, is to decrease the frequency of
cursing to 1 2 times max. I would be utilizing a positive punishment procedure to
assist in the elimination of the target behavior. Punishment would be in the form of
a rubber band that would be aggressively snapped against my wrist immediately
following the occurrence of the target behavior. I asked my peers and family
members to snap the band every time they hear me curse. Whenever I was alone, I
would be conscientious of my speech, as I was during the baseline observation
period, and administer the punishment myself upon each occurrence. In this
instance, the pain I feel when the rubber band is snapped against my skin is an
unconditioned punisher. Every occurrence of cursing was recorded right away. The
treatment period started on March 27th and ended April 9th, for a total of 14 days
of treatment. Changes in the frequency of cursing occurred slowly for the first few
days. In fact, the amount of cursing had increased to 14 for the first day of treatment.
As can be seen on the graph, the first day had the highest

Most agreements permit airlines to fly from their home country to designated airports
in the other country: some also extend the freedom to provide continuing service to a
third country, or to another destination in the other country while carrying passengers

In the 1990s, open skies agreements became more common. These agreements take
many of these regulatory powers from state governments and open up international

He was elected into office during the Vietnam War, which was a big problem at the
beginning of his presidency. He took many steps to ensure the war would end.
President Nixon used a process called Vietnamization , as Rebecca Stefoff called it
in her book, Richard M. Nixon . This is where Nixon replaced American troops
fighting in North Vietnam with South Vietnamese troops. It was a very slow
process, but it worked. Nixon made negotiations with Paris to help him get the
United States out of the war as well. He also dropped bombs on North Vietnam and
its innocent neighboring countries, Cambodia and Laos. He did this to take out any
base camps set up around the outside of Vietnam that might have supported North
Vietnam during the war. This helped to end the war and Nixon made his first big
step as president of the United States of America.
At the end of his first term, Richard Nixon did something our nation will never

upcoming 1972 election. Nixon decided to send spies in the Watergate building, in
Washington D.C., to plant a bug so he could know the Democratic party s plans. He
thought this would ensure a win, but was he ready for what was to come? The
Watergate Scandal became well known throughout America. It led many Americans to

The Importance Of Information Technology In The Fourth...
When it comes to the topic of information technology, as a society we are bringing
modern day objects into laws that were written before handheld computers were an
every day occurrence. The fourth amendment is designed to keep the citizens of
the United States safe from unreasonable search and seizure of ones property.
Through necessity, some exceptions have been made due to consent, to help
ensure the safety of officers, and citizens and preservation of evidence as well as
during the processing of a crime scene. Technology is generally falling in line with
the exceptions for warrantless searches. Once of the most common ways for an
official to conduct a search without a warrant is known as a consent search. This
type of search generally happens when a person is being questioned and the officer
would like to look at or search a persons belongings, vehicle or dwelling. An officer
will generally just ask if s/he can search their belongings or vehicle or dwelling.
Once permission is given, the officer is able to legally search and evidence found
will be admissible in court. Consent searches are not unnecessarily cart blanche
though. Consent can be given to search a specific item, part of a vehicle, or even
restrict what the officer may look for. (Elkins, 2009). There are other ways that allow
for a search or seizure to occur without consent that are commonly used. Sometimes
there is an immediate need where the law allows for an immediate search without a

walked to the back of the place. The sunshining on my eyes as they glistened from

Running as fast as I can through the sand loving the feeling of warmth on my feet.
Finally I had my feet at the edge of where the water hits. The anticipation was
building up as the wave hit my feet, I knew it would feel cold but warm at the same
time. When finally getting in the water happiness overcame me, this is where I
knew wanted to be. I could feel the seaweed on my legs, which tickled a bit and I
loved it. The way the sun s rays felt on my body was soothing. What made me most
happy when coming to the beach was playing volleyball with family. At the time I
knew that nothing could change the way I felt about the
The Role Of Gun Ownership In America
As long as gun ownership is legal in America, gun will makes both positive and
negative influence. On the one hand, it changes the home defense way and builds the
hunting culture. On the other hand, there are lots of gunshot incidents happened.
Government, especially the Republicans, are in favor of gunownership legally.
Although there are lots of gunshot incidents happened here in America, law still
does not changed much. For example, the latest one, on the night of October 1,
2017, the mass shooting Sunday evening on the Las Vegas Strip, leaves 58 people
dead and 546 injured, but there s an article published by the New York Time, titled
Nothing Will Change After the Las Vegas Shooting (STEVE ISRAEL), says even
Las Vegas incident is a horrible case, congress will not make much change about the
gun law.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the survey conducted by Pew Research Center in 2017, 52% of
American said that the gun laws should be more strict and only 18% of them said
the gun laws should be less strict. There is even an American nonprofit organization,
The National Rifle Association of America (NRA), advocates for gun rights. Another
survey also conducted by Pew Research Center in 2017 shows that, 74% of gun
owners agree with that owning a firearm is tied to their sense of personal freedom.
Americans value their gun culture very much, consider as a symbol of American
culture, the soul of
Memorial Hall Essay
Memorial Hall
When walking through Boston s renowned Harvard Yard, one may scope out the
mixture of architecture throughout its landscape. From the traditional Memorial
Hall influenced by Romanesque churches, to the Carpenter Center for the Visual
Arts, Harvard Yard is like a salad bowl of architecture. Perhaps because I am a lover
of Victorian style structures, or maybe because of its interior s beauty and richness,
Memorial Hall intrigued my interest most of all.
Memorial Hall, which was originally a civil war monument, is now a theater and
student union for Harvard University. The 19th century architects Robert Ware and
Henry Van Brunt designed this building to resemble the Victorian Gothic
Romanesque churches of the time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This window also allows a colorful light inside the memorial of the building. The
interior of Memorial Hall differs from the gothic structures that the building resembles
from the outside. While gothic structures were composed mostly of stone, Memorial
Hall is decorated with walnut. The vaulting, which traditionally would be made of
stone, is made of wood. There is a repeated use of the rosette, trefoil, quatrefoil, and
cross motifs that help connect the exterior with the interior of the building. These
details are found in the wood carvings of Sanders Theater, the great transept doors, the
sandstone frieze that surrounds the exterior, the columns and wrought iron gates, the
buttress, the stained glass windows, and the chandeliers. Also there is ornamental
ironwork that outlines the roof if Sanders Theater and crowns the four subsidiary
towers. Another feature of Memorial Hall that captures the mood of its exterior is the
layout of the remaining original furnishings throughout the building. The materials
used to construct the interior and exterior of Memorial Hall create a defined space in
which the building captivates.
When I walked through Memorial Hall I became instantly drawn into the structure.
The marble floors, the dark wood moldings, and the gold, maroon, and green d

given name was, Augusta Ada Byron. She was the only legitimate child of poet,
Lord George Gordon Byron. Ada s mother was, Lady Anne Isabella Milbanke
Byron. Her parents had a rocky marriage and separated shortly after she was born.
Her father moved away a few months later and Ada never saw him again. He died
in Greece. Ada was only 8 years old. Ada suffered many illnesses throughout her life
and in 1829 became paralyzed from the measles. She regained mobility and learned
to walk again, but only with crutches. Ada, at her mother s insistence was taught
mathematics and science by tutors. At the time girls were not taught such
challenging subjects. Ada s mother believed that such subjects would stop Ada from
developing her father s hateful and uncertain character. Ada s mother would also
make her lie perfectly still for long durations of time because she was convinced it
would help Ada develop self discipline.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides Essay
Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides
Christ resembles Dionysus in many ways. Is it possible that Christ is simply an
extension of the Dionysian myth? Though the concepts of wine and faith unite the
two, the idea of revenge compared to self sacrifice separates the two deities.
Dionysus fits the Greek understanding of vengeful and selfish God that bear more
anthropomorphic traits than Godly traits. Christ, however, transcends human desires
for revenge and acts in self sacrifice. This is the key separation between them.
The similarity between the two Gods is striking. Dionysus is associated with wine
and revelry. Christ forever associated himself with wine and celebration through the
act of Communion and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is said that before he died he cried out, It is finished. The last words that the chorus
speaks echo the same thought. It is finished. That is not the only surprising thing.
The Bible tells of God s struggle to find a way to salvage the relationship with his
children. The last line of the Bacchae reverberates the concept of the Godly struggle
to find the right action.
The motives of Dionysus are extremely perplexing to a modern audience. I will go;
for that which fate forbids, can never befall me. For this thy mockery be sure
Dionysus will exact a recompense of thee even the god whose existence thou deniest;
for thou art injuring him by haling me to prison (Euripides 28).
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The quote from the
Bacchae is rooted in Dionysus s individual desire for revenge upon those who
snubbed him by not believing in him. Nowhere in the text is Dionysus noted for
performing any large acts of self sacrifice. The story of Jesus, on the other hand is
based in self sacrifice. According to John 3:16, Christ allowed himself to die on the
cross to take on the pain of every person in the world. The contrast in motivations
between the two divinities is startling whether or not one believes either to be truth.
Jesus is reputed to have
Essay on Big Bang Theory
There has been a lot of research done on the influence media can have on society, in
particular the degrading images of women that are often seen in media. Since the
second wave of the women s rights movements these images were the object of
scrutiny and an easy example of how women were viewed. In modern society where
women have made many strides towards equality why are there still instances in
popular media were women are negatively depicted? Have women come as far as
they think? The popular sitcom The Big Bang Theorynegatively depicts the female
characters by reverting to a binary view of gender, in which the female characters are
lacking, they can be beautiful or smart however they cannot be both.
The Big Bang Theory premiered on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Penny s appearance is the first thing noticed. Sheldon and Lenard state that she is a
significant improvement from their last neighbor, a 200 pound transvestite with a
skin condition. Where as the introduction of Sheldon and Lenard clearly established
their intellectual superiority.
The article states that gender identity is enacted through a variety of self
presentational strategies including attire, non verbal and verbal behavior all of
which interact with others per existing expectations . Penny dresses in clothing that
show off her body. It is clear through her appearance and interactions with others that
Penny is valued for her sexuality. Most of Penny s interaction with the other main
characters point out her lack of knowledge. Consisting of the men having to explain
there conversations in the most simplistic way, or pointing our her community
college education compared to their accelerated programs at MIT, and Cal Tec.
Another indication that Penny lacks talent and intelligence is the fact that although
she aspires to be an actress in the six seasons The Big Bang Theory has aired Penny
has been working as a waitress at The Cheese Cake Factory, and on multiple occasion
the characters have made comments indicating that she is a bad waitress. The only
advancement made to her career was when she started

Qualities Of A Good Teacher Essay. Qualities that make a good teacher essay

  • 1. Qualities Of A Good Teacher Essay Crafting an essay on the qualities of a good teacher is a task that requires a thoughtful approach and careful consideration. It demands not only a clear understanding of the subject matter but also the ability to express ideas coherently and persuasively. The challenge lies in delving deep into the multifaceted role of a teacher and identifying the key attributes that contribute to their effectiveness. One difficulty in composing such an essay is the need for extensive research to gather insights into various teaching methodologies, educational philosophies, and real-life examples. The writer must sift through a plethora of information to discern the most relevant and impactful qualities that make a teacher exceptional. Moreover, striking a balance between theoretical concepts and practical examples is crucial to ensure the essay resonates with readers. Another challenge is articulating thoughts in a structured manner. The essay should have a well- defined introduction, body, and conclusion. Each paragraph must seamlessly transition to the next, creating a cohesive narrative that engages the reader. The language used should be precise, yet evocative, conveying the significance of each discussed quality without becoming overly verbose. Furthermore, it is essential to avoid clichГ©s and generalizations. The essay should delve beyond superficial traits, providing insightful analysis and perhaps addressing potential counterarguments. Balancing personal opinions with objective observations can be tricky, requiring a nuanced approach to maintain credibility. In conclusion, composing an essay on the qualities of a good teacher demands a combination of research, analytical skills, and effective communication. It is a challenging task that requires dedication and attention to detail. However, with the right approach, the result can be a compelling piece that sheds light on the multifaceted nature of effective teaching. This is proven when the text stated, he didn t know what to tell the others, so he did not say anything at first ( Tanka 41). This shows that Aria had to be strong for his siblings so they did not get scared. Another time the characters were in a hardship was when Yuki was standing on the chair to get something but then fell off and died. Akira had to stay strong for his siblings, so they did not get scared. This is shown in this part of the text: Yuki he ran to her and bent down, shook her. Gently at first, then harder ( Tanaka 135). This shows that when he saw his sister on the ground dead he did not freak out he want over to her to see what he could do, he did this so his sibling could be Stong and become stronger over time because they know he tried to help. As you can see that when charters go through hard times they get stronger with help from there

Not everyone is aware of the risks of second hand smoke nor how it can effect their future. Second hand smoke is an issue that affects everyone and everybody around it such as unborn children, children, adults, non smokers and should be avoided as much as possible. What exactly is second hand smoke? Second hand smoke is a combination of burning tobacco and the exhaled smoke. Not only is first hand smoke harmful, but second hand smoke is as bad if not worse for a person. Smoke in general smells badly, can irritate people s eyes or nose, sticks to clothing or materials, can make someone s hair smell, and other things as well. Everyone should avoid second hand smoke as much as possible. First comes the unborn children that are affected by adults that expose them to second hand smoke. Women who smoke during pregnancy risk their unborn child by smoking and their child receiving the second hand smoke in the womb. Second hand smoke can cause birth defects, low birth weight, SIDS, and many other problems. One birth defects includes clef lip or pallet caused by second hand smoke while in the womb. Women who smoke while pregnant risk health issues that are just unfair to the unborn child who cannot make its own choices yet. Secondly, there are also children effected by second hand smoke in many ways. It s estimated that about 1 out of every 4 children

We humans are squishy and don t live particularly long lives here on Earth, and that s even before the extensive toll our bodies suffer due to space, in accordance with aforementioned squishiness. The amount of challenges there are in sending people beyond our planet are immense. We have to worry about air, food, waste, radiation, communication, bone loss due to zero g. Simply getting up there is a challenge, and then we have to worry about getting home. Due to this long list of concerns, humans have been relegated to a very small corner of our solar system. The record breakers for furthest humans from home remain the handful of men that walked on the moon during the Apollo... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sagdeev, during his time as head of the Russian Space Research Institute, stated that the US and USSR had a silent gentleman s agreement to split their duties in space. Russia was to focus its efforts on Venus, and the US was to engage in wide range reconnaissance [4]. One of these major solar reconnaissance projects he mentioned involved the idea of the Grand Tour. It was noticed that the planets were aligning in just the right way not to guarantee finding love, or the coming of a great apocalypse but in an arrangement that would allow a single spacecraft to fly past all the outer planets in record time, using a maneuver called a gravity assist [5]. • 6. Contraction and Spread of Streptococcus pyogenes Contraction and Spread of Streptococcus pyogenes Abstract: Streptococcus pyogenes is a very common bacteria found in humans. It is very transmissible and can be caught through the air via coughing or sneezing. This form of Strep. illness is referred to as Streptococcal pharyngitis, also known as Strep. throat, which can complicate into Scarlet Fever. It is also possible to be infected through abrasions of the skin, which can result in cellulitis, impetigo, or even necrotizing fasciitis. Aside from human to human contact, these bacteria can also be found in unpasteurized milk. There is no vaccine for Streptococcal infections, though antibiotics such as penicillin still work very well against them. Introduction: S. pyogenes is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is also very transmissible through shaking hands, and handling something that a person with infected with pyogenes has touched. These are the most common ways to contract Strep. throat. (2,3) Also, contraction is very possible through the skin via abrasions both small and large. This type of infection would be contracted from exposure to other people harboring the bacteria, bacteria in the air, or bacteria on the injured person. Being infected this way can rarely result in necrotizing fasciitis. It is also very possible, albeit very rare, that Streptococcus pyogenes can be transmitted through food, most notably milk and its products. This form of infection is usually caused by improper or lack of pasteurization of the milk. The bacteria that are responsible hardly ever come from an outside source, and are usually present within the cow when infected milk is produced. However, these two other methods of transmission are far less likely than the usual human to human respiratory infections. (6,2,1) After the bacteria are first taken into the body, there is an incubation period of between one and five days. During incubation the bacteria are very capable of infected others without the host having any knowledge of an infection. This is important in the spread of Strep. infections, which will often occur through contact between children while at school. It is no mistake that the
  • 7. On The Waterfront, by Elia Kazan Essay For a near championship boxer to fall from the limelight after a defeat is fairly common, but to lose due to his own brother betting against him is unheard of. Elia Kazan s On the Waterfront portrays the role of this former fighter living his life as a bum under a local mob boss. This movie stands out from how movies are portrayed today. It didn t have a lot of fast chase scenes, immense battles, or over the top special effects. This movie focused on its characters, by portraying their reactions to the cumbersome niche they play on the dockyard. It was driven by a series of intertwined conflicts, and a strong mix of character development and storytelling, and made for a phenomenal piece of art. Conflict is what viewers watch movies for,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She is portrayed as moral innocence, beckoning to Terry to tell the truth and bring justice to those that slew her brother. She helps the audience relate to an outsider looking in on a society that has accepted their role as slaves to those with greater power. Father Barry, a minister who preaches against the crimes of the mob, pushes Terry along the path to truth. He urges him to speak out against his oppressors for the good of the entire dock. He brings a strong sense of justice and righteous action to a community otherwise broken and accepting of their roles as thralls. The conflicts fueling this story are also provided by a livid cast of characters and a dark story to be told. Development of both characters and story can be hard to draw a fine line on, but On the Waterfrontwalks that line like an acrobat. There was a strong emphasis on getting the viewer to feel what the main characters were feeling. As Father Barry gave his crucifixion speech, the emotions and reactions portrayed by the father and his onlookers simply added to the powerful statements he was preaching. The dockworkers with no connections in the mob knew he spoke the truth, and yet their faces showed that they were too afraid to even mention working conditions or recent killings committed by the mob. Although the movie had an emphasis towards building knowledge only about the main characters, background characters only amplified the feelings the audience
  • 8. Television And Internet News Programs News or Nonsense Television and internet news programs have began to stray away from a strictly informative report of current happenings to vague, non factually based entertainment stories. This is a direct result of society s desire to worry about everyone s feelings. In the past, viewers passionately desired accurate information and statistics on the nation s current events. As of now, a different generation of viewers and new s providers bestow the supply and demand of news stories based on emotions, rather than fact. With extremist groups becoming increasingly popular the demand for highly biased news is snowballing. New s corporations like FOX capitalize on this by providing news that is consistently biased to one point of view. Having a one sided production such as FOX creates a type of animosity between them and their competition. This seems rather childish, making these top tier new companies look like a joke. In result, a viewer will struggle to find a new s broadcast that provides more than a couple of relevant stories based on factual information. Instead, the bulk of content is displayed in a look at me, feel bad for me, or look at them format. From this, the broadcasters work at the heart strings of their viewers. They get the viewer to invest emotion into a story, creating a reaction and desire to hear, see, and feel more. Given the response, broadcasters see interest in emotionally based stories skyrocket and interest in factually based stories
  • 9. Romantic Emotionism In Alexander Pope s The Rape Of The Lock Most of life s moments have little import. Each day often screams no more of significance than the day preceding. There are a few moments throughout life that manage to contain, within themselves, the power to change the course of one s life, but more often than not, the moments we give importance to are fairly trivial events, changing or altering nothing more than any other day. We find that those more common moments are created by culture, cultivated in a society that believes that something about a day or a time though nothing significant changes, like birthdays demarking a specific time on a continuum makes it special. This same brand of cultural elevation affects physical features and infrequent, though insignificant still, actions. Alexander Popes The Rape of the Lockcharts that influence in society and, with verse dripping with wit, questions what we hold dear. The Rape of the Lock is written as a heroic Romantic poem, dealing in turns with romance and violence. Canto Three is perhaps Pope s best encapsulation of Romantic passion in the poem. The card game is told a conflict between semi personified cards and their players, Belinda and the Baron. Pope seems to enthrall the reader when [t]he hoary Majesty of Spades appears and pushes us to hold our breaths when [t]he Knave of Diamonds tries his wily arts, / and wins (oh shameful chance!) the Queen of Hearts (56, 86 87). The cutting of Belinda s hairfollows this, with the character, Clarissa, taking part to

The first launch is on the experimental basis, if I observe success then I can expand it to other cities as well. To meet my purpose successfully, I did extensive research on targeted market of personal care products. However, I focused the entire globe because I want to prove, my choice is precise. Adults would think that emo music is the cause for all the suicides, depression, self harm, homicide and what not, but it is not completely true. Emo music is must more than adults bargain for. Emo music have real deep meanings in their lyrics, they may have some dark language in their music, but some bands don t mean for it to influence others. Emomusic helps those who need to escape from reality and enter the world of music. Just because a band wears dark and scary clothes, have somewhat depressing lyrics, does not mean that they are a cult or involved with anything satanic. Emo bands are like angels; they help one another feel safe and comfortable. There may be some wannabe emo bands, but not all of them are fake. Black Veils Brides is a good example for the guardian angel. Black Veil Brides is a popular heavy metal /rock band who claim to be something as The Ultimate Outcasts, due to their eccentric looks and rough childhoods from bullying for being different and unique. They have helped so many in choosing the right path, lending them an ear, or gave them something to live for. The majority of the fan base have artwork on their arms, legs, hips, etc. That has suddenly decreased. Fans say that they used to cut themselves but stopped because Black Veils Brides music has saved them. BVB will always be there for their fans. Andy Biersack, also known as Andy Sixx, has written a song called Saviors because he wanted to give something for his fans known as the BVB Army as a thank you for always being there for him and the band. • 12. Physical Health Problems The physical health problems caused by the computers for children Introduction The invention of the electronic tools e.g. computers make people lead an efficient and convenient life. The efficiency, convenience and practicability of the electronic tools e.g. computers attract both adults and children, and make them use these tools in their daily life (ThomГ©e, 2015). As has been seen, the use of computers and in adults work is becoming more frequent and majority of children use these tools in their daily life as well. However, the long time use of computers may caused some problems, and one of the problems is the physical health problem. When using a computer, no matter a laptop or a desktop, the user do not need to move. These behavior would normally be defined as sedentary behavior, which may make the user to do less physical exercise, fit less physically and suffer more risk of health problems. The problem may be solved by three solutions, the first seems to make children use computer in a right posture, the second may be some physical exercises and another solution seems to decrease children s time spent on computers. Physical health problem caused by computers According to Kimmerly (2009), over 90% of children aged 3 18 in the US used computers, and with children aged, more children started to use computer related activities. However, the long time of uses of these electronic tools may lead to physical health problems to children. For example visual strain, lack life

From the astounding sculptures of Michelangelo the the complex drawing of Da vinci and countless other artist that changed the world of art, architecture and design. Though there was one work that we came across in class recently that made me feel different compared to all the others i ve been shown. It was beautiful yet disgusting, heavenly yet sinister, and more than anything compelling. I am referring to a triptychpainting done by H. Bosch entitled Garden of Earthly Delights . The picture immediately stood out from the rest somewhat having an uncanny modern feel to it. The piece is a 3 panel painting, also known as a triptych, The Garden of Earthly Delights, oil on oak panels, 220 cm Г— 389 cm with each section showing images of religion, damnation and over all madness. I was instantly intrigued by what my eyes were taking in and then shortly after learning about how there is so much mystery and uncertainty to the work only heightened this feeling. I was hoping that looking the work up on my own time would be able to answer at least some of my many questions; this was not the case. Solid factual information on the pieces is extremely limited including the date of completion, the persons who commissioned it, the purpose for it being commissioned, and most of all the meaning and message the piece was meant to inflict. The accurate dating of The Garden of Earthly
  • 14. Key Events in the Reformation Thesis Statement: These key events reforming religion are what shaped the world for good and for bad in the 14th to the 19th century. The Reformation was full of war and inventions that many had never seen before, affecting the religious and social political systems in positive and negative ways. The first event in the Reformation was the Printing Press. The Printing Press enabled the circulation of the bible, starting the spread of Christianity and the Catholics. The Printing Press was created by Johannes Gutenberg in 1450. Before the Printing Press the bible had to be printed by hand, which meant that the copies had to be written word for word. There were wars during this Reformation in the 16th and 17th century that took place in many parts of Europe. The first wars took place in central and southern Europe, between the Christians and the Muslims. The Christians and the Muslims had been fighting each other ever since the Crusades from the 11th to the 13th century; also in the Spanish Reconquista from the 8th to the 15th century; and the Ottoman Wars in Europe from the 15th to 19th century. The wars that were the longest lasting were the wars between the Protestant and the Catholics. These wars were some of the bloodiest wars in the European wars of religion. The war between the Protestants and Catholics is called the 30 Year s War which was the longest in the war of religions. The Counter Reformation came better late than never as they were much needed. The Council of Trent had a major role in the counter. The Council of Trent fought for the Reformers in every way possible. The Council of Trent believed in the areas of tradition, original sin, justification, sacraments, the holy masses, and the veneration (honoring) of saints. The Council of Trent and the Catholics fought to become more spiritual, educated, and literate. The reformation was a long and bloody time. There are many ways to look at this time period. Some say it is from the church perspective and say these religions were fighting for what is right. I for sure will be

The contribution to the pool of HCE s cannot be more than 125% of the average of all on the non HCE s contributions. Consequently, the amount of the contribution is really dependent on how many non HCEs are participating in the company s 401(k) plan. If payments made are in excess of the 125% threshold to HCEs, then the funds must be refunded to the employee. The employee may use those funds to re contribute to their 401(k) as a post tax employee contribution. Any post tax contributions made must be reported as taxable income for tax filing purposes. (Publication 7335, 2015) Actual Deferral Percentage (ADP) is an annual test in a 401(k) plan that assesses the average salary deferrals of HCE s to that of non highly compensated employee s (NHCE s). An employee s deferral percentage is the percentage of compensation that has been deferred to the 401(k) plan. The deferral percentages of the HCEs and NHCEs are then averaged to

The objective of this lab was to create a ketone through an oxidation reaction using a using a secondary alcohol and oxidizing agent in order to use that ketone in a reduction reaction with a specific reducing agent to determine the affect of that reducing agent on the diastereoselectivity of the product. In the first part of this experiment, 4 tert butylcyclohexanol was reacted with NaOCl, an oxidizing agent, and acetic acid to form 4 tert butylcyclohexanone. In the second part of this experiment, 4 tert butylcyclohexanone was reacted with a reducing agent, either NaBH4 in EtOH or Al(OiPr)3 in iPrOH, to form the product 4 tert butylcyclohexanol. 1H NMR spectroscopy was used to determine the cis:trans ratio of the OH relative to the tert butyl group in the product formed from the reduction reaction with each reducing agent. Thin layer chromatography was used in both the oxidation and reduction steps to ensure that each reaction ran to completion. In an oxidation reaction, the number of C H bonds decreases or the number of C O bonds increases, while in a reduction reaction, the number of C H bonds increases or the number of C O bonds decreases. In the oxidation step of this reaction, 4 tert butylcyclohexanone is formed from when a C H bond is lost while a C O bond is gained to create a carbonyl. The On The Land Registration Act CRITICALLY ANALYZE THE CHANGES BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE LAND REGISTRATION ACT 2012 IN THE MANAGEMENT OF REAL PROPERTY IN KENYA TAKING NOTE TO EXPLORE IN DETAIL THE FRAMEWORK THAT HAS BEEN RELACED. INTRODUCTION The land registration ACT is an act of Parliament to revise, consolidate and rationalize the registration of titles to land, to give effect to the principles and objects of devolved government in land registration, and for connected purposes. What was being revised is the old registration act which had to be altered to accommodate the changes in the government layout and the mountain of complains they were receiving from the public. The new act had to be physically more solid and efficient if implemented well. The loopholes that were found in the earlier act had to be done away with. Land is one of the most controversial things in Kenya. So many people have been displaced and their land grabbed by individuals who have developed talent in this sector who have made it a business venture. Land that was designated for agriculture and also as green zone have been depleted which has led major cities in Kenya such as Nairobi unsustainable. The current situation in Kenya is such that people do not know the boundary of their land and most of the time they encroach on peoples land which has led to major conflicts. The revised land registration act wants to remedy this situation so that Kenya can be a safe zone when for both the citizens and investors. Land under Article 260

Vaughan, Marcos Martins with Muntsa Vicente), a sci fi graphic novel, explores society s views on technology by defying what the reader may expect by portraying a society that strongly opposes and fears current world attitudes towards technology. Privacy in this world is seen as so exceedingly important that society in it has completely rejected the internet. They still advance technologically, but in a different direction than in the real world, and use various kinds of masks and other appearance altering technologies for the sake of privacy. They gravitate towards these types of technologybecause of familiarity, and deny anything that could potentially compromise their privacy, like the internet. Essentially, it s a moral thing, but to the degree that threatening privacy would be like threatening their freedom. Privacy is part of what being a human is to these people. It s a natural thing that everyone should have to them. This is where The Private Eye and real life are most alike in that one s idea of what it is to be human determines willingness to acceptnew technologies. Familiarity is what causes this idea of what human is when it comes to accepting new technology or ideas. In real life, people generally enjoy the ideas of sci fi esque technologies in theory. The reason many inventions in science fiction don t actually exist is because they go beyond what people consider human, at least the doable ones. Sure, technology is intended to

Job satisfaction has been defined as a pleasurable emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one s job;[1] an affective reaction to one s job;[2] and an attitude towards one s job.[3] Weiss (2002) has argued that job satisfaction is an attitude but points out that researchers should clearly distinguish the objects of cognitive evaluation which are affect (emotion), beliefs and behaviours.[4] This definition suggests that we form attitudes towards our jobs by taking into account our feelings, our beliefs, and our behaviors. Situational characteristics are things such as pay, supervision, working conditions, promotional opportunities, and company policies that typically are considered by the employee before accepting the job. The situational occurrences are things that occur after taking a job that may be tangible or intangible, positive or negative. Measurement of Job Satisfaction Measuring job satisfaction is difficult, for it is an abstract personal cognition that exists only in an individual s mind. Relational cultural theory argues that the mother child relationship continually changes due to social context and time, and therapy can help children rework empathic failures and acute disconnections to question the absolute certainty of poor mothering. There were several statements that Jordan (2011) argued that I found particularly applicable to my life. The book chapter mentions that immigrant mothers tend to lose the support of a larger familynetwork, and this can affect mothering. There is also the mention of a desire for connection, and the lack of a connection can lead to an inability to be authentic in a relationship. The first point that I would like to mention is the idea that immigrant mothers lose support of an extended family network (Jordan, 2011). My personal experience can verify this my parents left their parents behind in Russia and rarely see them. The only extended family I have in the United States are one aunt, one uncle, and two cousins. I have not seen them since I was 14 years old. The impact of moving to a different country far from other family has great consequences. As far as I know, my parents have few connections to other adults who understand their cultural background, and as a result have no way of knowing if they are integrating their parenting beliefs appropriately with the surrounding American culture. To build an understanding of how communities of practice create organizational value, we suggest thinking of a community as an engine for the development of social capital. We argue that the social capital resident in communities of practice leads to behavioral changes, which in turn positively influence business performance. We identify four specific performance outcomes associated with the communities of practice we studied and link these outcomes to the basic dimensions of social capital. These dimensions include connections among practitioners who may or may not be co located; relationships that build a sense of trust and mutual obligation, and a common language and context that can be shared by community members. Our conclusions are based on a study of seven organizations where communities of practice are acknowledged to be creating value. • 38. The Importance Of Information Technology In The Fourth... When it comes to the topic of information technology, as a society we are bringing modern day objects into laws that were written before handheld computers were an every day occurrence. The fourth amendment is designed to keep the citizens of the United States safe from unreasonable search and seizure of ones property. Through necessity, some exceptions have been made due to consent, to help ensure the safety of officers, and citizens and preservation of evidence as well as during the processing of a crime scene. Technology is generally falling in line with the exceptions for warrantless searches. Once of the most common ways for an official to conduct a search without a warrant is known as a consent search. This type of search generally happens when a person is being questioned and the officer would like to look at or search a persons belongings, vehicle or dwelling. An officer will generally just ask if s/he can search their belongings or vehicle or dwelling. Once permission is given, the officer is able to legally search and evidence found will be admissible in court. Consent searches are not unnecessarily cart blanche though. Consent can be given to search a specific item, part of a vehicle, or even restrict what the officer may look for. (Elkins, 2009). There are other ways that allow for a search or seizure to occur without consent that are commonly used. Sometimes there is an immediate need where the law allows for an immediate search without a warrant. .. prevent

When going again to the same place as a teenager, you don t see the sane anymore your mind is programmed to see the realism. When I was little I noticed every beautiful thing in this one place, but when arriving at the same place as a teenager that beauty disappears and reality is what I see and feel. When going to the beach as a child the enjoyable physical descriptions, activities and experiences changed when going back to the beach as a teenager. When I went to the beach as a kid it was exciting, hot, and beautiful and now going as a teenager it s too hot, boring, and scary. To begin with when I was 12 my familywanted to go to South Padre Island, and I really wanted to go to the beach. As a child any chance of getting in the water and playing with sandwas paradise for me. My family wanted to rent a condo and the perfect place was Isla Grand. When finally getting in the water happiness overcame me, this is where I knew wanted to be. I could feel the seaweed on my legs, which tickled a bit and I loved it. The way the sun s rays felt on my body was soothing. What made me most happy when coming to the beach was playing volleyball with family. At the time I knew that nothing could change the way I felt about the

  • 41. Memorial Hall Essay Memorial Hall When walking through Boston s renowned Harvard Yard, one may scope out the mixture of architecture throughout its landscape. From the traditional Memorial Hall influenced by Romanesque churches, to the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Harvard Yard is like a salad bowl of architecture. Perhaps because I am a lover of Victorian style structures, or maybe because of its interior s beauty and richness, Memorial Hall intrigued my interest most of all. Memorial Hall, which was originally a civil war monument, is now a theater and student union for Harvard University. The 19th century architects Robert Ware and Henry Van Brunt designed this building to resemble the Victorian Gothic Romanesque churches of the time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This window also allows a colorful light inside the memorial of the building. The interior of Memorial Hall differs from the gothic structures that the building resembles from the outside. While gothic structures were composed mostly of stone, Memorial Hall is decorated with walnut. The vaulting, which traditionally would be made of stone, is made of wood. There is a repeated use of the rosette, trefoil, quatrefoil, and cross motifs that help connect the exterior with the interior of the building. These details are found in the wood carvings of Sanders Theater, the great transept doors, the sandstone frieze that surrounds the exterior, the columns and wrought iron gates, the buttress, the stained glass windows, and the chandeliers. Also there is ornamental ironwork that outlines the roof if Sanders Theater and crowns the four subsidiary towers. Another feature of Memorial Hall that captures the mood of its exterior is the layout of the remaining original furnishings throughout the building. The materials used to construct the interior and exterior of Memorial Hall create a defined space in which the building captivates. When I walked through Memorial Hall I became instantly drawn into the structure. The marble floors, the dark wood moldings, and the gold, maroon, and green d #233;cor are qualities

  • 43. Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides Essay Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides Christ resembles Dionysus in many ways. Is it possible that Christ is simply an extension of the Dionysian myth? Though the concepts of wine and faith unite the two, the idea of revenge compared to self sacrifice separates the two deities. Dionysus fits the Greek understanding of vengeful and selfish God that bear more anthropomorphic traits than Godly traits. Christ, however, transcends human desires for revenge and acts in self sacrifice. This is the key separation between them. The similarity between the two Gods is striking. Dionysus is associated with wine and revelry. Christ forever associated himself with wine and celebration through the act of Communion and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is said that before he died he cried out, It is finished. The last words that the chorus speaks echo the same thought. It is finished. That is not the only surprising thing. The Bible tells of God s struggle to find a way to salvage the relationship with his children. The last line of the Bacchae reverberates the concept of the Godly struggle to find the right action. The motives of Dionysus are extremely perplexing to a modern audience. I will go; for that which fate forbids, can never befall me. For this thy mockery be sure Dionysus will exact a recompense of thee even the god whose existence thou deniest; for thou art injuring him by haling me to prison (Euripides 28). John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The quote from the Bacchae is rooted in Dionysus s individual desire for revenge upon those who snubbed him by not believing in him. Nowhere in the text is Dionysus noted for performing any large acts of self sacrifice. The story of Jesus, on the other hand is based in self sacrifice. According to John 3:16, Christ allowed himself to die on the cross to take on the pain of every person in the world. The contrast in motivations between the two divinities is startling whether or not one believes either to be truth. Jesus is reputed to have

Since the second wave of the women s rights movements these images were the object of scrutiny and an easy example of how women were viewed.
