The Female Role Of Women In Shakespeare s Othello
In the play Othello written by William Shakespeare, we see not only the main male character leads.
But we also see the female characters, Desdemona, Emilia, and Bianca. These three women were
portrayed in ways that showed them being inferior to the other male roles as well as society during the
Elizabethan Era. But Shakespeare made each of these individual ladies characteristics quite unique to
one another having the traits of a feminist. Even though in the play we read how the male characters
did somewhat control them and made them look weak compared to them, there were moments where
Desdemona, Emilia and Bianca stood up for themselves.
In Othello Shakespeare portrays the main three female characters as being quite inferior to the other
male characters such as Othello himself, Iago and Casto. Because during that time of which
Shakespeare was writing these plays in the Elizabethan era. Society was in which religion was as at
the very most top and after was men being the second part of the social ladder and later come women
and rule justified women s subordination as the natural order because women were thought to be
physiologically and psychologically inferior to men women were expected to be silent, chaste, and
obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers. Even education during the Elizabethan era was only for
smart men, and not for women, the women were only allowed to work as cleaners and being mothers.
Which makes them inferior to the male sex, we see this in

medical care and treatment for patients detected to contain this condition (Cozzi et al., 2011).

Emma Goldman Research Paper
You can never envision the world without Emma Goldman. Emma Goldman passed on May 14, 1940.
Emma committed her life to the production of a fundamentally social request. Likewise, she grasped
insurgency for its vision; and it offered freedom, concordance, and social equity. Political agitation, in
spite of the fact that its foundations are dated considerably before, was conceived only two years after
Emma s introduction to the world. Bakunin, a Russia progressive, as Emma was to wind up, split the
worldwide socialist development in two, making revolutionaries. She had a profound duty to supreme
opportunity and that drove her to embrace a scope of disputable causes. Goldman was a radical
scholar. Forty years on she is more than meaningful, she is notorious. The majority of this began with
her introduction to the world on June 27, 1869, in Kovno, Lithuania. Emma moved to New York City
where she joined the Yiddish Anarchist development and met her long lasting buddy, Alexander
Berkman. This companionship turned out to be a definitive event in her life. She contrived with
Berkman in his fizzled endeavor to kill Henry Clay Frick because of his role in the assaults on the
strikers at Homestead. Berkman, in the end, served 14 years in ... Show more content on

Spanking as a Disciplinary Method
In this literature review, the recent findings about spanking as a disciplinary method for a child is 70%
of America adults agreed that it is sometimes necessary to discipline a child with spanking (Petts,
2002). Spanking helps the child fit into the real world happily and effectively. It is the foundation for
the development of the child s own self discipline (Tobias, 1999). Discipline such as spanking is about
teaching and guiding children, not just forcing them to obey. When using spanking to discipline, the
child should always know that the parent loves and supports him or her. Trust between parent and
child should be maintained and constantly built upon. Studies show that spanking, properly utilized,
can lead to well adjusted children (Dobson, 1992). The discipline of children has become a very
controversial subject and emotional issue, especially in the light of today s plague of child abuse.
There will always be arguments on both sides.
Some Christian parents view spanking as a solution for discipline their children according to Gods
word. Spanking is used to instruct their children in the ways of God. It is important to view spanking
in the total context of child development. While the Bible advocates corporal punishment, it also
places stern restrictions on its use. Spanking should never occur when a parent is angry (Lansford,
Wager, Bates, Pettit, Dodge, 2012). According to the Bible, parents must lovingly shape their children

Prevalence of Obesity in Children Introduced in the Elementary School Prevalence of obesity in the
children introduced in Elementary School is an article published by Journal of Nursing discussing
childhood obesity in elementary schools. Obesity is defined as excessive accumulation of body fat
(deWit O Neill, 2014). The article is based on studies performed in Brazilian communities. Topics of
the different studies consisted of private school setting, lower income families in different locations,
different child age groups and socioeconomic differences. The first study consisted of children in
private school settings. The obesity rate in the public school was 11.3% and 27.0% in girls and 13.0%
in boys (Rocha, 2013). The middle and high socioeconomic status of the children was not a factor to
why the children would or would not be overweight (Rocha, 2013). It would be assumed that because
children of higher socioeconomic status who would see a pediatrician on a regular basis would not be
overweight. The second study was performed on kindergarten students. Weight for the age and height
was used in this study. It was decided that females showed higher concentration to males (Rocha,
2013). The third study was conducted on students from ages of six to nine. This study had the lowest
rate of obesity 3.6% (Rocha, 2013). The founding of this study weighed more on the aspect to what
mother or parent was feeding this population of the study (Rocha2013). The children

The Greek Philosophers And The Philosophers
The Greek philosophers did not explain the world using Gods. Instead, they preferred to explain the
world using principles. These principles were fundamental in how the philosophers taught their
students. Three philosophers, Plato, Epicures, and Aristotle, used different principles to help them
explain the world and the universe around them. In this essay, the principles of these three
philosophers will be explained and then compared with each other.
When the philosophers spoke of principles, they were referring to what connects everything together
or what makes everything the same. The philosophers wanted to be able to explain the universe using
these principles. Philosophers came up with their own basic principles that they thought ... Show more

And this they must do, even with the prospect of death (Cave 2). It is clear in this quote how important
Plato thought the understanding of philosophy and the soul was. To imply that it is important enough
to understand these ideas that it would be worth it to go back into the cave just to teach this to
someone else shows how devoted he was to this principle. He also believed in immortality of the soul
and the idea that our souls exist before our births, which he spoke about in many of his writings. He
believed that souls exist in three parts; a rational part that wants to know the truth, a spirited part that
wants honor and victory, and an appetitive part which wants food, drink and sex (1). Along with this
idea, he believed that souls are reincarnated into different life forms (1). In conclusion, Plato focuses
on the intellect and the soul to explain the universe.
Epicurus was a philosopher from about 341 270 BC. Epicurus believed that everything in the universe
was made of atoms. He is the first philosopher we have studied that tried to break things down as
current scientists do. He looks at atoms and how they interact just as modern physicists and chemists
do. He believed that everything, everything physical and everything non physical things such as
hearing, which he explains is when atoms bounce off of something that makes noise, sight, he explains
as atoms flowing out of an object,

Analysis Of Shakespeare s The Tempest
On Thursday 1st December 2016, the RSC s (Royal Shakespeare Company) production of The
Tempest was performed to an audience of around one thousand people at the Royal Shakespeare
Theatre in Stratford upon Avon. It was directed by the RSC s artistic director Gregory Doran, whose
version s aim was to break new boundaries in theatre making through its heavy reliance on cutting
edge technology to create magnificent spectacles and revitalise used tropes of past productions. Being
the first classical production to use live motion capture, Doran s imagination severs Shakespeare s last
play from some of its old ties and shifts it into the twenty first century. The play begins in media res,
enthralling the audience by immediately throwing them into chaos and disarray from the very first
scene. Martin Meisel states that the printed play acts as a manual or a blueprint for performance and
thus the RSC s performance, with its crescendo of thunderous music, flashing visual projections and
erratic lighting to mimic a storm brought the playwright s words to life before the audience s eyes. It
could be argued that the shipwreck in Act I Scene I captivated the audience s senses by creating strong
visual and auditory cues to invoke a sense of enigmatic intrigue and perhaps fear at the frantic scene,
placing them at the forefront of the shipwreck itself. The spectacle of this nautical scene could also
mirror the importance of expedition and voyage during the 1600 s, whether such travels

Health Insurance Stakeholders
The insurance system is an important topic for all providers, employees and individuals of this country
to understand. Insurance allows patients to be seen by healthcare providers without having to pay large
medical bills. It is the ability for physicians to treat patients and then able to get reimbursed. Health
insurance is a privilege in our country because not only does it save families time from stressing about
money, but also it allows each individual the ability to receive good quality care. In fact, there are two
forms of health insurance, social and private. Social health insurance is a government owned program
that benefits the citizens of our country. There are three types of social insurance, Medicare that covers
elderly people, Medicaid that covers poor people and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, if the patient has active insurance than the physician understands that they will get
compensated if the patient is seen. If the patient does not have insurance, most likely the patient will
not been seen because the doctor will not be getting reimbursed or paid for that visit. Some hospitals
have free care programs where patients without insurance can receive free healthcare, but the hospitals
and providers are not getting paid, which can hinder the stakeholders (physician). Therefore, if a
patient has insurance, the doctor or healthcare provider is being benefitted. On the other hand, a factor
that burdens stakeholders is the fact that U.S. health insurance plans are highly variable, and even the
best plans do not cover all necessary care or provide first dollar coverage (Scheetz, 2015). Therefore,
either the patients are not receiving good quality of care or the doctors can perform the care, but they
will not get reimbursed. Also since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was enacted, more patients are
being seen, which causes the physicians to receive a lot less money due to a lower fee

Formal Essay: Compare and Contrast Spade and Marlowe
When you first read or watch something dealing with detectives, as an observer, you must
always pay attention to the actions of the characters. The characters are what makes detective
stories mysterious, because each character is looked upon as a suspect and for the detective to
figure out a solution, he must study everyone s actions, changes in their mood and character and
once a detective has found something that leads him to his culprit, he would have solved his
investigation. From this the detective is given the whodunit phase, where he is led with clues
that can help him solve his investigation. Two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
John Paul Athanasourelis s says that Raymond Chandler s character learns to identify his flaws
and also identify the flaws in others. (Luhr, vol. 45 pg 299). Just like Spade, it took a while for
Marlowe to grow into a role model, because when the characters were first made, they were not
looked upon as anything special.
You can also see this in Dashiell Hammett s Sam Spade stories. What each author is
portraying is that, detectives, are people who go through a lot in their life like other people and
the same why that the deal with the situations, is the same why they deal with others, this is what
makes them unique problem solving, they don t go by the book but they figure things out by
what they know from their own lives. But most readers who have read detective stories, say that
Marlowe is one of the most interesting detectives, and just from his stories alone, Chandler
makes him a model for other detective stories like Sam Spade. (Luhr, vol. 45 pg 299).
Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe are detectives who show skills of experienced crime
fighters like well knowed detectives. Reading the two Sam Spade stories, what they have in
common with The Big Sleep is the control of dialogue, and what I mean from this is that Spade
and Marlowe use stern tones to make their points heard. What Chandler and Hammer did with
these these two detective

Inca And Aztec Empires Similarities
The Aztec and Incan religions were similar and different in many ways. For one, both empires and
their religions consisted of polytheistic values. Both empires participated in human sacrifice. Both
empires worshipped a sun god or deity. Both empires used religion to unify societies and access
authority over citizens. Both kings of these empires were considered angelic. Both religions believed
in gods and sacrifice. A very important role in the religion of these empires was agriculture. Both, the
Aztec and Incan empires, believed in many gods. They believed that without the gods, their crops
would wither, and soon die.
The Aztec religion believed that several worlds existed before the world that we live in today. The
called this series of world the Four Suns , and believe that the one that we currently live is considered
to be the fifth sun. The Aztecs believe that 2 beings were the basis for all actuality and existence. One
consisted of how the gods originated. One god was Ometecuhtli, who was considered to be the lord of
duality. There was also Omeciuatl, who was considered to be the lady of duality. The Aztecs believe

The Decision Making Process Of Governmental Officials
The decision making process of governmental officials directly correlates with the status of the United
States of America. Often society provokes questions regarding the ethicality of political decisions,
specifically in terms of campaign finance reform. Because of the vulnerability of our country to
succumb to corruption, the monetary contributions to fund campaigns is a great concern to many
Americans. Many citizens see unlimited spending as a corruption of our government, and therefore
promote the regulation of expenditures. Inversely, it can be argued that funding and spending should
not be restricted, and if a candidate can raise the money, he or she should be able to acquire it. It
seems almost obvious that regulations aren t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Specifically, a bill was passed by a Democrat in Congress, which was primarily aimed at expenditures
of the Nixon Administration (Cohen, Elfin). These laws were ignored by some candidates and most
donors, whom continue to find loopholes in such laws and contrarily give their desired amount of
money. As demonstrated in the University Of Florida Journal Of Law Public Policy, because the laws
are constantly disregarded it can be suggested that individual candidates are extremely motivated and
interested in ensuring maximum profits. The FECA ultimately failed to control the monetary costs of
the federal election campaign, even though it was revised and amended four times, correlating with
the diminishing of the Federal Election Campaign Act Of 1971 (Stefanuca). The inability to regulate
such costs illustrates how political candidates and members of Congress tirelessly work to bypass the
law of FECA on spending limitations. Intelligibly, if said candidates and congressmen disagree with
the FECA, it can be believed to be ineffective and unethical. The law may also stand in the way of
potential donations. It can be concluded that, if a clause is revised multiple times, the government is
clearly having great difficultly perfecting the law while simultaneously keeping candidates and
governments officials satisfied (Stefanuca). The FEC, or Federal Election Commission is an agency
founded by the US congress

The Train Car As A Symbol Of The Extermination
Regularly occurring within a historical narrative is the prominence of non textual documentation
through the expression of symbols, iconography, and emotional memory. Inherently representational,
symbols are used to add a dimension in to a narrative. In the case of the Holocaust, symbols are used
to materially express the nearly unfathomably reality of its events. But, what do we do with often
emotionally charged perceptions of history? Symbols can be used as evidence, and as a way to
connect the past to the present commemorating the time period in which they encapsulate. But
symbols are culturally created, as objects are assigned a meaning often during but more importantly
after events have passed. In the case of the Holocaust, the train ... Show more content on

With the acquisition of new territory the number of Jews under Nazi control increased dramatically by
the summer s end of 1941. The Jewish Problem no longer became geographically confined to Reich
but rather became a pan European wide crisis. The policy of territorial relocation of Jews became
unfeasible. Additionally, despite the success of the Einsatzgruppen shootings there were simply few
too many men to eradicate the growing number of Jews. It was during this critical stage approximated
between July and December 1941 that Hitler abandoned previous plans of emigration and mobile

so, Jews would be deported to six centrally located extermination camps in occupied Poland;

In order to acquire trains the Nazis arranged within the Reich the use of the Reichsbahn, the German

Benefits Of Yoga And Meditation Essay
Would you spare 20 minutes of your day if it helped you sleep better, stay healthier, be more focused,

Yoga and meditation may primarily be paths to inner contemplation and enlightenment, but they have
several physical and psychological benefits too. For those over 40, spending time on the mat can
rejuvenate the body and mind in several ways. Let s take a look at five of these.
#1 Yoga Helps You Sleep Better
Harvard Medical School researchers concluded during a recent study that a simple yoga practice can

Where Do You Start?
If you aren t all that enthusiastic about twisting yourself into a pretzel, don t worry. Hatha yoga and
asanas aren t the last word on the yogic path. There are several online, guided meditations you could
begin with instead. Isha Kriya is a popular option, and takes about 12 minutes to complete. The UCLA
Mindful Awareness Research Center has a list of guided meditations too, though they are audio only
modules.
There are also a few general guidelines that will ensure you get the most out of your practice.
Wear Loose fitting Clothes
Skip the skin tights and figure hugging stuff and choose something which gives your body room. Tight
clothes can be a distraction while you are meditating or practicing and could end up playing spoilsport
with the whole experience. Organic garments are generally recommended by most texts on yoga, and
are said to be more supportive for your practice than synthetic

Power In Franklin s Tale
Now the past three tales all show the women characters to be either over powered or with little power.
In the Franklin s Tale the woman is neither over powering nor an emotional abused doormat. In fact
this tale had both the men and women to be equal powers. The tale has four main protagonists, the
wife, the knight/husband, the lovesick squire, and the magician. The whole main plot of the story is
that the squire is trying to take away the wife as an illicit lover. However remaining loyal to her
husband she turns him down and makes a joking promise. Taking the promise seriously he goes to the
magician and gives all of his life s savings so he could be her lover. When he goes to the wife saying
he made the promise real she is distraught and tells her husband everything. He tells her to go fulfil
her promise and she goes to the garden. She pleads to the squire to let her go home and eventually he

s words. Suddenly he grabbed Ben and set out to find the door again. As they stood outside the door
they gathered up their courage and opened the door. They walked into an empty room and were
greeted by the sight of another door looming in front of them. The boys sauntered up to the door and
opened it without a second thought and walked inside. As they stared at the contents of the room, the
boys noticed only one noticeable change. There was a table in the middle of the room but apart from
that the room was exactly the same. Will gave Ben a confused glance and walked cautiously up to the
table. He placed his hand on the table expecting something horrible to happen but nothing did. His
eyes wandered about the room again until they rested on a door that was completely identical to the
one him and Ben had just come through. Ben grabbed Will and walked toward the door, but this time
without the confidence of before. He slowly opened the door and

Wakefield High School Sports Injury
Throughout my junior and senior years of high school I was a part of the Student Athletic Training
Team in the Sports Medicine Department of Wakefield High School. To help better understand the
injuries that the team encountered in the field, I enrolled in the Sports Medicine classes that were
offered by the school. The classes were taught by the head athletic trainer for the school who believed
in hands on learning, especially for his student trainers. During the duration of the course and my time
as a member of the team, I saw numerous different types of injuries; but there were three that occurred
most often: an ankle sprain, a muscle strain, and a rotator cuff tear.
The most common injury in athletes is an ankle sprain, which is an injury ... Show more content on

There will be a palpable defect in the superficial muscle otherwise known as the muscle towards the
top layer of the area, indicating the rupture of individual fibers or the entire muscle. Because grade
three strains usually cause a break in the normal outline of the muscle, there may be an obvious,
visible dent or gap under the skin where the affected muscle has come apart. A complete rupture will
cause the muscle to hemorrhage or bleed and can cause diffuse swelling in some cases. Diffuse
swelling often causes the injury to be unable to fully resolve due to the increased fluid in the area
which the body is unable to

Everybody Should Be For Gay Adoption
Around the world there is 17,900,00 orphans who have lost both parents. These children are in
orphanages or on the street and they need healthy development, which they don t have. For they have
to fend for themselves in both situations and neither situation is ideal, either the children are all alone
or they are surrounded by many other children and they don t get the care the deserve and need.
Everybody should have the right to adopt these children and give them better lives and help their
development, no matter of the adopter s sexuality. Everybody should be for gay adoption because it
gets kids out of orphanages, gives them good homes, and gives the child a family.

By doing all of this it also gives the child a better experience in life and school for the know that they
have the support of their adopted parents. It is also mostly gays who adopt because it is actually
impossible, with males, to have biological children of their own. If all gays were allowed to adopt the
children would be thrilled because they would have a family of their own to live with, instead of a
whole bunch of other rambunctious kids. All people deserve the right to adopt children, as long as they
are kind people. Who cares if the parents are gay? The only aspect that might change the kid s
education or experience is if people try to tell them they are weird because they have two moms or
two dads but really that kid will know that they are special, in a good way, because they have two
parents who support them

Consumer Research Stats Case Analysis
Consumer Research, Inc. is investigating whether there is any correlation between specific
characteristics of credit card users and the amount these users charge on credit cards. Their objective
is to determine if these characteristics can accurately predict the annual dollar amount charged by
credit card users. Data was collected from a sample of 50 credit card consumers presenting
information on the annual income (referred as Income), size of household (referred as Household),
and the annual credit card charges (referred as Charges) for these consumers. A statistical analysis;
including a descriptive, simple regression, and multiple regression tests, of this data was performed
and the findings are presented below. Due to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The model indicates that for each additional person added to the household, Charges are expected to
increase by $404.13, when the Annual Income is held constant. This model produces the following
statistical evidence:
Model Summary of using Household to predict Charges
R RÂČ Adjusted RÂČ Std Error of Estimate
.753 .567 0.558 620.793
Paying particular attention to the RÂČ values (Table 2), this prediction equation can account for about
55.8% of the variations present within the data. This equation appears to have a stronger fit for
predicting credit card charges then using Income.
To construct a better prediction equation that produces a stronger linear relationship with the least
amount of unexplained variance, a multiple regression analysis was conducted. Results of this analysis
clearly indicate that using both Income and Household together to predict credit card charges is a
better fit then just one of these characteristics. A multiple regression analysis produces a model
prediction equation of Annual Charges = 33.13(Income) + 356.30(Household) + 1304.91. To
determine how well this equation model fits, a multiple linear regression model containing the two
characteristics variables was fitted to the data. The model assumptions were checked using a full
residual analysis. The residual plots are shown in Exhibit 2.
The two plots indicate clear relationships between the Amount Charged

Zinn Chapter 12 1. Why might Teddy Roosevelt have thought that the United States needed a war in
1897? a. The United States was struggling politically and economically. It was believed that opening
up markets overseas would relieve a lot of the problems that the United States was having in its
depression. 2. In what sense was expansion overseas not a new idea ? If it was not new, then why did
it not begin until 1898? a. The Monroe Doctrine moved the US down south into the Caribbean even
before the war against Mexico. The US needed to gain more power and unity before it could think of
expanding its markets. 3. How many times did the US government intervene in the affairs of other

Cameleon Analysis
3.1.1 FRET based Ca2+ indicators
Cameleons, the first generation of GECIs [161], are chimeric proteins that, in their original iteration,
were composed of a blue or cyan FP as a FRET donor and a green or yellow FP as a FRET acceptor.
The two FPs are connected by CaM and its binding partner M13 (the CaM binding domain of myosin
light chain kinase) (Figure 6A). A similar design with only the CaM binding domain was also reported
in 1997 [162]. When the CaM domain of a cameleon binds to Ca2+, it changes its conformation and
sequentially binds to M13, which results in a more compact conformation that decreases the distance
between the FRET donor and acceptor. This decreased distance causes an increase in FRET efficiency
that manifests itself as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The presence of endogenous interaction partners may interfere with GECI function and lead to
reduced or diminished dynamic range [156]. In 2004, Griesbeck and coworkers engineered a new type
of FRET based GECI, called TN L15, by replacing calmodulin with troponin C (TnC) which interacts
with fewer endogenous proteins [167]. In 2006, Mank et al. reported further improvements in the
dynamic range and kinetics of TnC based indicators by engineering the magnesium and calcium
binding properties within the C terminal lobe. The best variant to arise from that work, TN XL,
exhibits a highly reproducible fluorescence signal with fast rise and decay times, as demonstrated in
the presynaptic motor neurons of transgenic flies [168]. By deletion of low affinity N terminal lobes,
the same group obtained a further improved version of TnC based GECIs, designated TN XXL, with
higher affinity to Ca2+. They demonstrated the usefulness of TN XXL for the chronic imaging in
mouse brain in vivo [163]. Very recently, Thestrup et al. developed a new FRET based indicator
Twitch , based on Opsanus troponin C, with reduced number of Ca2+ binding sites compared to TN
XXL [149]. They optimized the indicator by combining a large functional screen in bacteria with a
secondary screen in rat hippocampal

NFL Held Responsible for Brain Injuries
NFL Held Responsible for Brain Injuries Throughout history in the NFL, head injuries and fixing
those problems have always been hidden from the athletes because of the NFL striving to make a large
profit instead of caring for the players. With this being an ongoing problem between NFL players and
the NFL itself, many past and current players are digging deeper to find the truth and statistics
continue to show how serious this problem actually is. When the lawsuits first began to come known
to the public, the NFL agreed to pay over seven hundred million dollars to compensate former players
suffering neurological injuries. Many believe the NFL offered this so quickly, hoping to avoid a
potential public relations nightmare. The NFL, a ten ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It may go deeper than that though (Kacsmar). The players accused the NFL of intentional misconduct
in its response to the headaches, dizziness, and other multiple signs that former players have reported (

Sclerosis (ALS), said The NFL must open its eyes to the consequences of its actions. The NFL has the
power not only to give former players the care they deserve, but also to ensure that future generations
of football players do not suffer the way that many in my generation have. ( Mega Lawsuit ). Many of
the former and present NFL players believe that like boxing, the NFL had to be aware of the health
risks associated with repetitive blows producing sub concussive and concussive results. The fact that
some members of the NFL player population were at significant risk of developing long term brain
damage, had to be known by the league. Players say, Despite its knowledge and controlling role in
governing player conduct on and off the field, the NFL turned a blind eye to the risk and failed to warn
and or impose safety regulations governing this well recognized health and safety problem. ( Lawsuit

decrease the number of head injuries, but overall head injuries

1. About Kazakhstan: An Introduction
Kazakhstan is the largest ex Soviet Union state and the ninth largest country worldwide, but it is
sparsely populated with 17 million inhabitants (13th lowest population density worldwide). The
extractive sector, the backbone of the economy, is dominated by international companies, which
finance their activities from their foreign parent companies. Consequently, Kazakhstan has a high
level of private foreign debt. The state is strongly present in the economy. Its investment holding
company, Samruk Kazyna, holds assets to tilling 50% of GDP, divided over the oil, gas and financial
sectors. The participation in the financial sector is a consequence of a bail out after the 2009 crisis,
when the banking sector was overhauled. China is the most important business partner for Kazakhstan
due to its share in trade and investments (China currently holds 24% of the oil sector).
2. Economy
The role and economic significance of the countries of Central Asia have been transformed over the
past decade. High oil and commodity prices have been a key factor in their impressive growth, but

Billy Bathegate by EL Doctorow Essay
Billy Bathegate by EL Doctorow Billy Bathgate is an important American novel in it s portrayal of
one young man s evolution from boyhood to maturity. The novel is about a fifteen year old boy that
gets taken under the wing of Dutch Schultz, a 1930 s gangster trying to keep a hold of his diminishing
empire. As the novel unfolds, so does the rising maturity of the tough young man introduced to us as
Billy Bathgate. Billy finds himself in situations that most of us never see in our whole life. In
difference to the reactions that most people would have in these situations, Billy learns from them in
order to better his role in the crime family. It is for these reasons that the young fifteen year old boy

youth, with it s boundless resilience and illusions of immortality. (Bemrose 58 9) He (Doctorow) is
interested not in the abstractions of corruption, but in the simple, emotional things of the criminal
existence what it feels like to be a gangster, what moral and psychological universe one inhabit. It s
day to day mechanics and, perhaps most importantly, how one survives a life of violence.
Thus, underneath the soft prose of Billy s voice, we are given glimpses of the murderous danger of the
criminal life, and how the people who live it, particularly it s leaders, keep their heads above water.

Setting
Doctorow accomplishes the task of recreating the Bronx in the 1930 s with perfection. Everything
from the attitude of the depression to the realness of the gang scene is more than vividly expressed
throughout the novel. It s almost like Doctorow paints the picture of the 1930 s in such an explicit
manner that the reader can smell the tension of financial burden in

Chronic cadmium poisoning can result in nephrotoxicity, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases,
testicular necrosis, prostatic and testicular cancers, renal failure and neurodegenerative conditions (Yu
et al., 2007). Moreover, it was reported that spermatogenesis is disturbed by free radical toxicity
(Aruldhas et al., 2005) . It depletes many essential metal antioxidants including selenium in the body
(Sato and Takizawa, 1982). Apparently, its exposure results in decreases of glutathione (GSH) levels
which causes an increase in reactive oxygen species leading to increase in lipid peroxidation, change
intercellular stability, damage deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), membranes and consequently inducing
cell death (Stohs et al., 2000). The metal accumulates in human body affecting negatively several
organs: liver, kidney, lungs, bones, placenta, brain and central nervous system (Castro GonzĂĄlez and
MĂ©ndez Armenta, 2008). Therefore, the maximum concentration limit for cadmium (II) ions in
drinking water must be strictly regulated. The World Health Organization (WHO), set a maximum
guideline concentration of 0.003 mg/L for cadmium (II) in drinking water (WHO, 2008). Hence, there
is great interest regarding the removal of cadmium from wastewater streams.

How Did Imperialism Cause Ww1
Militarism Militarism is when a country invests money in their military to increase its size and
strength. Germany began doing this before WWI which caused raised tensions throughout Europe as
well as some other countries militarizing too and when a country builds a new, big military they want
to use it. Nationalism Nationalism is the act of one loving their country and believing that it is superior
to all others. In turn this caused WWI because it was nationalism that caused the Black Hand to
assassinate Archduke Ferdinand, also it caused citizens to think that they would surely win due to their
superiority. Imperialism Imperialism is when a country goes out and gets colonies for resources and

Essay on Roman Persecution of Christians
From the third to the fourth century, the Roman Empire witnessed a widespread attempt to stop the
spread of Christianity. Initially, leaders of the church were predominately targeted, but later anyone
admitting to Christianity became a target. The persecutions hit a climax during Diocletian s reign.
These persecutions actually helped the spread of Christianity by glorifying Christians and beginning a
tradition of martyrdom that shaped the Church, and the strength that Christians displayed shows that
the persecutions could not have possible stopped the spread of Christianity. In the first half of the third
century, Christian persecution was fragmented and while Christianity was illegal, there is not evidence
that it was widely persecuted. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This also persisted throughout the fourth century. Often, enforcement of persecution laws was really
left up to local officials. There are reports of terrible and unrelenting persecution in some areas, while
there are no reports at all in others. Additionally, issues at the border throughout this time often
plagued emperors, so it was impossible to ensure that their edicts were universally carried out. As a
result, the empire simply was not equipped to completely halt the spread of Christianity.
Because Christianity could not be completely purged by the Empire, it created an opportunity for
Christians to display how strongly they were devoted to the religion. The way in which they
responded made all the difference. Under pressure, they would not submit, and this was proof of the
force and influence of Christianity.
During the persecutions, churches and scripture were destroyed. Many were killed and tortured.
Despite this, many remained brave and unafraid according to accounts. The idea of redemption and a
magnificent afterlife led many Christians to almost fervently pursue martyrdom. These martyrs were
glorified, and miracles were reported to have occurred in their presence. They refused to reject Christ
and, in turn, were subjected to torture and humiliation. Eusebius describes the proceedings during the
Great Persecution: ...the rules in question brought a certain man into a public place and commanded
him to sacrifice. When he refused,

But we also see the female characters, Desdemona, Emilia, and Bianca. These three women were portrayed in ways that showed them being inferior to the other male roles as well as society during the Elizabethan Era. But Shakespeare made each of these individual ladies characteristics quite unique to one another having the traits of a feminist. Even though in the play we read how the male characters did somewhat control them and made them look weak compared to them, there were moments where Desdemona, Emilia and Bianca stood up for themselves. In Othello Shakespeare portrays the main three female characters as being quite inferior to the other male characters such as Othello himself, Iago and Casto. Because during that time of which Shakespeare was writing these plays in the Elizabethan era. Society was in which religion was as at the very most top and after was men being the second part of the social ladder and later come women and rule justified women s subordination as the natural order because women were thought to be physiologically and psychologically inferior to men women were expected to be silent, chaste, and obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers. Even education during the Elizabethan era was only for smart men, and not for women, the women were only allowed to work as cleaners and being mothers. Spanking as a Disciplinary Method In this literature review, the recent findings about spanking as a disciplinary method for a child is 70% of America adults agreed that it is sometimes necessary to discipline a child with spanking (Petts, 2002). Spanking helps the child fit into the real world happily and effectively. It is the foundation for the development of the child s own self discipline (Tobias, 1999). Discipline such as spanking is about teaching and guiding children, not just forcing them to obey. When using spanking to discipline, the child should always know that the parent loves and supports him or her. Trust between parent and child should be maintained and constantly built upon. Studies show that spanking, properly utilized, can lead to well adjusted children (Dobson, 1992). The discipline of children has become a very controversial subject and emotional issue, especially in the light of today s plague of child abuse. There will always be arguments on both sides. Three philosophers, Plato, Epicures, and Aristotle, used different principles to help them explain the world and the universe around them. In this essay, the principles of these three philosophers will be explained and then compared with each other. When the philosophers spoke of principles, they were referring to what connects everything together or what makes everything the same. The philosophers wanted to be able to explain the universe using these principles. Philosophers came up with their own basic principles that they thought ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And this they must do, even with the prospect of death (Cave 2). It is clear in this quote how important Plato thought the understanding of philosophy and the soul was. To imply that it is important enough to understand these ideas that it would be worth it to go back into the cave just to teach this to someone else shows how devoted he was to this principle. He also believed in immortality of the soul and the idea that our souls exist before our births, which he spoke about in many of his writings. He believed that souls exist in three parts; a rational part that wants to know the truth, a spirited part that wants honor and victory, and an appetitive part which wants food, drink and sex (1). Along with this idea, he believed that souls are reincarnated into different life forms (1). In conclusion, Plato focuses on the intellect and the soul to explain the universe. Epicurus was a philosopher from about 341 270 BC. Epicurus believed that everything in the universe was made of atoms. He is the first philosopher we have studied that tried to break things down as current scientists do. He looks at atoms and how they interact just as modern physicists and chemists do. He believed that everything, everything physical and everything non physical things such as hearing, which he explains is when atoms bounce off of something that makes noise, sight, he explains as atoms flowing out of an object, ... • 10. Analysis Of Shakespeare s The Tempest On Thursday 1st December 2016, the RSC s (Royal Shakespeare Company) production of The Tempest was performed to an audience of around one thousand people at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford upon Avon. It was directed by the RSC s artistic director Gregory Doran, whose version s aim was to break new boundaries in theatre making through its heavy reliance on cutting edge technology to create magnificent spectacles and revitalise used tropes of past productions. Being the first classical production to use live motion capture, Doran s imagination severs Shakespeare s last play from some of its old ties and shifts it into the twenty first century. The play begins in media res, enthralling the audience by immediately throwing them into chaos and disarray from the very first scene. Martin Meisel states that the printed play acts as a manual or a blueprint for performance and thus the RSC s performance, with its crescendo of thunderous music, flashing visual projections and erratic lighting to mimic a storm brought the playwright s words to life before the audience s eyes. It could be argued that the shipwreck in Act I Scene I captivated the audience s senses by creating strong visual and auditory cues to invoke a sense of enigmatic intrigue and perhaps fear at the frantic scene, placing them at the forefront of the shipwreck itself. The spectacle of this nautical scene could also mirror the importance of expedition and voyage during the 1600 s, whether such travels ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Insurance allows patients to be seen by healthcare providers without having to pay large medical bills. It is the ability for physicians to treat patients and then able to get reimbursed. Health insurance is a privilege in our country because not only does it save families time from stressing about money, but also it allows each individual the ability to receive good quality care. Some hospitals have free care programs where patients without insurance can receive free healthcare, but the hospitals and providers are not getting paid, which can hinder the stakeholders (physician). Therefore, if a patient has insurance, the doctor or healthcare provider is being benefitted. On the other hand, a factor that burdens stakeholders is the fact that U.S. health insurance plans are highly variable, and even the best plans do not cover all necessary care or provide first dollar coverage (Scheetz, 2015). Therefore, either the patients are not receiving good quality of care or the doctors can perform the care, but they will not get reimbursed. The two FPs are connected by CaM and its binding partner M13 (the CaM binding domain of myosin light chain kinase) (Figure 6A). A similar design with only the CaM binding domain was also reported in 1997 [162]. Chronic cadmium poisoning can result in nephrotoxicity, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, testicular necrosis, prostatic and testicular cancers, renal failure and neurodegenerative conditions (Yu et al., 2007). Moreover, it was reported that spermatogenesis is disturbed by free radical toxicity (Aruldhas et al., 2005) . It depletes many essential metal antioxidants including selenium in the body (Sato and Takizawa, 1982). Apparently, its exposure results in decreases of glutathione (GSH) levels which causes an increase in reactive oxygen species leading to increase in lipid peroxidation, change intercellular stability, damage deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), membranes and consequently inducing cell death (Stohs et al., 2000). The metal accumulates in human body affecting negatively several organs: liver, kidney, lungs, bones, placenta, brain and central nervous system (Castro GonzĂĄlez and MĂ©ndez Armenta, 2008). Therefore, the maximum concentration limit for cadmium (II) ions in drinking water must be strictly regulated. The World Health Organization (WHO), set a maximum guideline concentration of 0.003 mg/L for cadmium (II) in drinking water (WHO, 2008). Hence, there is great interest regarding the removal of cadmium from wastewater streams. 2.2.3 Zinc s occurrence and toxicity in human Zinc is considered being relatively nontoxic, especially if taken orally. • 34. Essay on Roman Persecution of Christians From the third to the fourth century, the Roman Empire witnessed a widespread attempt to stop the spread of Christianity. Initially, leaders of the church were predominately targeted, but later anyone admitting to Christianity became a target. The persecutions hit a climax during Diocletian s reign. These persecutions actually helped the spread of Christianity by glorifying Christians and beginning a tradition of martyrdom that shaped the Church, and the strength that Christians displayed shows that the persecutions could not have possible stopped the spread of Christianity. In the first half of the third century, Christian persecution was fragmented and while Christianity was illegal, there is not evidence that it was widely persecuted. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This also persisted throughout the fourth century. Often, enforcement of persecution laws was really left up to local officials. There are reports of terrible and unrelenting persecution in some areas, while there are no reports at all in others. Additionally, issues at the border throughout this time often plagued emperors, so it was impossible to ensure that their edicts were universally carried out. As a result, the empire simply was not equipped to completely halt the spread of Christianity. Because Christianity could not be completely purged by the Empire, it created an opportunity for Christians to display how strongly they were devoted to the religion. The way in which they responded made all the difference. Under pressure, they would not submit, and this was proof of the force and influence of Christianity. During the persecutions, churches and scripture were destroyed. Many were killed and tortured. Despite this, many remained brave and unafraid according to accounts. The idea of redemption and a magnificent afterlife led many Christians to almost fervently pursue martyrdom. These martyrs were glorified, and miracles were reported to have occurred in their presence. They refused to reject Christ and, in turn, were subjected to torture and humiliation. Eusebius describes the proceedings during the Great Persecution: ...the rules in question brought a certain man into a public place and commanded him to sacrifice. When he refused, ...
