Difference Between Pharmacy And Clinical Pharmacy
Retail vs. Clinical Pharmacy
Options abound in the field of pharmacy. Two popular paths in pharmacy are clinical (or hospital)
pharmacy and retail (or community) pharmacy. Retail pharmacists work either at a pharmacy in a
store or at an independently owned pharmacy, while clinical pharmacists work directly with
physicians and patients in a hospital or other health care facility ( What Pharmacists Do ). Both
clinical and retail pharmacy jobs have their specific benefits and drawbacks, but retail pharmacy is
more advantageous to a recent pharmacy graduate pursuing this career.
Retail pharmacy involves less stress than clinical pharmacy. In retail, the pharmacist s main task is
issuing medication to customers ( What Pharmacists Do ). They stock and label medications, fill
prescriptions, direct customers about the use of the drugs, give them general medical advice, and
answer questions they might have about over the counter medicine ( What Pharmacists Do ).
Likewise, clinical pharmacists work with customers, which are in this case the patients, but they
also interact personally with doctors; in the hospital, some pharmacists may even go on patient
rounds with them ( What Pharmacists Do ). Clinical pharmacy entails consulting with doctors
about medications and recommending a course of action, not just filling prescriptions ( What
Pharmacists Do ). Both clinical and retail pharmacy jobs require patience and a love for helping
people, but a clinical position may be more stressful

Tool Critique
Critique of the Tool According to Pender, Murdaugh, and Parsons (2015), an individual client is
assessed depending on the physiological fitness, nutrition status, social and spiritual health, lifestyle
and life stressors. Therefore, a holistic approach to assessing health can lead to a better health
promotion strategy and improved client outcomes. High Blood Pressure HealthRisk Calculator tools
developed by AHA and ASA successfully addresses the physiological aspect of the client health by
considering height, weight, blood pressure, and by recommending regular physical activity as well
as other lifestyle changes related to physical health. The tool also addresses the nutritional aspect of
the client health by recommending the intake of

Learning Systems And The Education System
In the past, the learning system was really simple. Students always learned in classrooms. They
would learn from and be taught by their teacher and grasped other facts from textbooks. The
teachers would ask them questions and students would answer them to show they understood.
Other information about other parts of the world, they learned from books. Throughout the years,
the learning system changed. Issues or flaws in the system were addressed and improved. Different
learning systems that were better were invented for the purpose of improving the educationof
students. Every time the learning system surpasses the others, the students and world s education
exceeds. The quick changes and the increase of difficulties of the current world causes new
challenges and needs of improvement in our education system. The American education system in
the past and present has changed because of the issues and flaws found in it, because of those
issues, the students do not have the knowledge they are required to have in college or a successful
career. We are realizing we have to change the way our learning functions to fit the way the world is
now. To overcome the difficulties in our learning system, we have to look at the problems and how
to improve it. Any strategies we use must deal with the multiple factors that affect the education
system, the influence of its part, and the complicated interdependencies within it and its
environment.
The learning system in the present has improved

The Use of Irony in Advice to Youth by Mark Twain
The use of irony in Advice to Youth by Mark Twain

Drinking And College Students
Drinking in college is a popular activity to take part in. However, that does not mean it is healthy
or useful. Alcohol companies feed off college students. Their advertising is directed at underage
drinkers, and many college students fall into that category. So, why do these young adults drink?
The answer is in the ads, the alcoholcompanies are promoting fun times and joyous lives. Therefore,
the underage students see drinking as a social normand think they might even have a better life
after they start drinking. Nonetheless, people know the cold hard truth about alcohol, it is an
unhealthy and even deadly substance. Colleges need to fix their alcohol advertising and drinking
problems by dropping their alcohol sponsors and promoting healthier lifestyles along with showing
the students that you do not need to drink to become popular, which in turn eliminates underage
drinking and the harm that goes along with alcohol consumption. Whether alcohol companies will
admit that their advertising is focused on underage people and more specifically underage college
students, it is the truth. Multiple tests and surveys have been conducted on students and the effect
that alcohol adverting through social media has on them. In Carrotte s article about this topic, she
conducts a study on a large group of students and young adults with a median age of 21.1 years
old. The people in the survey that marked that they had consumed alcohol also had to fill out an
audit. The

I never understood the point of reading. My parents first introduced my siblings and I to its world
at the early age of two. We were familiarized with letters, taught to link sound the visual and formed
words with a stuttering start. We became accustomed to the quiet of Tuesday nights when my father
would sit huddled on the sofa my mother curled up in bed his long nose buried in a novel, a black
curtain cascading from her head to the pages, morphing into one with their respective books. As
the night drew close the browns of their eyes would light up, while my mother s red lips would
quiver with excitement and my father would flash a lopsided smile. Reading is an adventure, they d

His sun kissed skin was sprinkled with grubby marks and one of his top teeth was absent as he
chuckled. His black hair flopped down over his eyes as he stared intently into a book held tightly in
his hands, seemingly ignoring the chaos I saw around him. The blue of the cover stood out amongst
the neutral tones, and the word infinite stood out to me.
This moment, which is forever replayed in slow motion, is when that area of darkness began to
shine.
My parents were raised in the third world country of India, lucky to escape extreme poverty, but
living in poverty nonetheless. They grew up on the principal that literacy was their only escape
from the life they lived. They understood what it was to have nothing and realised that millions of
other people around the world would never get the same chance to escape like the boy with the
book. This is why we were taken overseas; to be shown how lucky we are, even to have the simple
things.
I ve never looked at a book the same. I now allow myself to get lost amongst the words, the
characters, the scenes; they all become real in my mind. I have a hunger for books and the stories
that can remove me from my surroundings. It came to my attention much later on, that the boy on
the road probably didn t even know what he was reading the title was English and he most likely
spoke Mandarin. It was just a way to escape his

Essay on The Catiline Conspiracy
Sallust, Cicero and the Catiline Conspiracy
Both the histories of Sallust and the orations of Cicero can be considered literary works, to a
degree. The War With Catiline, by Sallust and The First Speech Against Lucius Sergius Catilina, by
Cicero, both contain excellent examples of writings from the age of the great Roman Empire.
Although both are fantastic pieces depicting a time of tragedy, the Catiline Conspiracy against
Rome, and they both think Catiline as evil, the two are also different.
Sallust was an obscure historical writer from the first century BCE. In The War With Catiline, he
tells of the conspiracy of Catiline and his plan to bring about civil war in Rome and over power the
Senate. Sallust depicts this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These men were those who wanted to gain riches by pillaging, and to free themselves of debt
through anarchic chaos. Catiline s biggest mistake might have been that he was all too blatant and
outright about his plan. He seemed to have been careless in who overheard his discussions and
whom he told. This ultimately led his plans to be discovered. He fled from Rome where he fought
in battle until his death.
Sallust recounts the history of the Catiline Conspiracy with much detail concerning who was
involved and the specific actions taken by both the conspirators and the Senate. Sallust tells it
almost as an exciting story where the good is fighting the evil.
Cicero was a member of the Senate during the time of Catiline s Conspiracy. His life was many
times in danger due to Catiline s hatred of him. His piece shows a first hand point of view of the
whole situation. Cicero, in The First Speech Against Lucius Sergius Catilina, delivers a speech
proposing what actions should be made to stop Catiline. It is very obvious that Cicero expresses
a hatred for Catiline, but surprisingly he does not propose a death sentence for Catiline in fear
for his own reputation in the Senate. Though I m sure it would ve been retaliation he would have
loved to offer as a personal revenge. Cicero then goes on to accuse Catiline of numerous wrongs he
has committed to both the citizens and laws of Rome. All the while Cicero made it quite clear to

A Brief Definition Of A Hero
What is a hero? Let me define that for you. A hero is a person, who is admired or idealized for
courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. You may not know or see it, but there is
heroes in everyday life. I know, shocking right! There are heroes everywhere you go, school, work,
even Walmart! You may not see them, but it doesn t mean they aren t there. A hero
is any person who
overcomes a challenge and is always there for you through thick and thin. There are a lot of things
a hero can do to become or show that he/she is a hero.
Well I bet you are wondering what are some examples that make a regular person, just like you, a
hero. A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. Joseph
Campbell. This means that a hero has given his/her life to put somebody or something that is
important before his/her self. A coward gets scared and quits. A hero gets scared, but still goes
on, Anonymous. This means that even when a hero is scared he never gives up, he still keeps
going on. A hero helps people, like if you see an old lady carrying a bunch of bags, a hero would go
up to her and offer to help her carry them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If somebody is selfish then they couldn t be a hero because a selfish person is someone who
wants everything for themselves, unlike a hero. For example a hero would share his/her food
with someone who is starving so therefor he/she is not selfish. If somebody is evil, he/she couldn
t be a hero because heroes want to help others. People who are just evil want to hurt people
instead of help them. If a person is mean to somebody then he/she cannot be a hero because a hero
is always nice to one another even if the person wants to hurt them. That to me shows true colors

How Is Socrates Clever
Socrates is a great philosopher. Since the beginning of the trial he starts asking philosophical
questions to defend himself from the Athenians. When the accuser called him clever he hit them
with the question of what does it mean to be actually clever? Also, he aroused the concern that
the ones that accused him now are aware that the audience might believed their accusations
because they are more in risk of their own beliefs, but if they were younger they will simply lack
proves. This is just a simple comparison to Beardsleys point of view that people grow up to have
beliefs that are passed down by family members or society. Socrateswent on his own ways to
practice philosophical investigation by going house to house and talking to young

Tweed Supreme Court Case
One chilly December morning in 1868, William Boss Tweed smiled calmly as he lied to an
entire court during a huge publicised trial Boisterous and humorous, he endeared himself to the
jury members and escaped reproach. This trial was to address the huge issue of voting fraud that
plagued New York. The Democratic party, of which Tweed was a powerful member, illegally
counted Republican votes and doctored Democratic votes to outnumbered them. A letter printed in
the paper, supposedly from Sam Tilden, another Democrat, asked New York politicos to send in
their estimates of the votes right before the minutes were closed, and send them to a William M.
Tweed(Ackerman 42 43). Several individuals were arrested and made witnesses. Some were

By fall, Tweed had coerced the New York Supreme Court into passing sixteen hundred
naturalizations daily, and even more from other courts. In a desperate attempt to extract control
from Tammany Hall s iron grip, Marshal Robert Murray placed Republican marshals to challenge
immigrants votes, whether they were legitimate or not. In retaliation, Tammany raised mayor
John Hoffman prohibited anyone from intimidating, obstructing, or defrauding any voter.
Tammany deputies began arresting Republican deputies. When the polls closed, Democrats
delayed or made distractions, allowing their backroom fixers to fix the numbers. Even Murray s
tries to arrest the Tammany deputies resulted in them just as quickly as they were thrown in jail
being released (Ackerman 53 55). Hoffman became governor, leaving Tammany s Grand
Sachem seat empty for Tweed to fill (Ackerman 57). At this point, Tweed won every battle that
came his way. In 1866, as it would later be discovered, he, Hall, Richard Connolly, and Peter Barr
Sweeney started the Tweed Ring , which ultimately damned him. Over the next five years, the
foursome would make between $40 and $100 million dollars off the city they claimed to love and
protect (bosstweedproject). The Tweed Ring seized control of the city treasure in 1870, funneling
funds into their own private bank account so exceedingly that action had to be taken.

Essay on Christians Pilgrimages to Lourdes
Christians Pilgrimages to Lourdes
I am going to describe what a pilgrim would do if they went to Lourdes. I will explain why Lourdes
is a Christian place of pilgrimage.
Then I will explain the reasons why some Christians choose to make a pilgrimage and the ways in
which they may be affected.
There are more important things for Christians to do than go on a pilgrimage. I am going to
discuss this issue. I will offer reasons for and against this point of view. Then I will make an
evaluation and include my opinion.

Bernadette visited the cave often to see the vision. The vision told Bernadette to build a church here
knowing that Lourdes would soon become a place of pilgrimage.
The vision also knew it would bring a great impact when meditating there because Christians may
feel as an important church like they do the Church of England.
The last thing the vision probably told Bernadette was to push away a rock where a small puddle
lay and suddenly a spring formed.
The story is the main reason why Christians go to Lourdes.
The amount of people that were in Lourdes was amazing. There was people in wheelchairs, people
with crutches, disabled people and people who were fine. Most of them were holding signs saying
where they had travelled from.
I joined in the daily procession and enjoyed every moment. We all held lit candles that were

The Gift of the Magi Argument Paper
The Gift of the Magi Argumentative Research Paper: Did Jim and Della perform an act of Selfless
Love?
Abstract
The story was written by O Henry in 1906. The story was centered around a seemingly poor couple
who did not have enough money to buy each other the gifts that their significant other deserved.
The story took place during Christmas. The Gift of the Magi is like a classic wisdom story in the
bible. O Henrys choice of title depicts symbolism between the three magi that brought gold,
frankincense, and mur, to the baby Jesus and the gifts that Jim and Della had given to each other
which mainly consisted of selfless love, Della s hair and Jims pocket watch. This itself ties into the
theme of his story. These gifts all entail the act... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leads to her idea of selling her most prized possession: her hair, to get Jim his present.
Meanwhile, Jim decides to sell his most prized possession which was a pocket watch that was
passed down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. He sells that watch and buys Della
a set of beautiful tortoise shell combs for her hair. Thus leading to the use of situational irony in
which they both receive gifts for something they gave up in order to give the other a gift.
Jim and Della perform an act of selfless love by their willingness to give something that held
great value to them in order to get special presents for each other on Christmas. They do all of
this out of love for the other. However, you will see that these gives prove to end up having no
use in the end but that is not the main point. The main point is that although this ironic situation
occurs, they both find joy in the thought that they would do this for each other. This love that
they have for each other is far greater value than any gift that could be given. Jim doesn t
overreact or get angry with this conclusion. Rather, he tells Stella, Let s put our Christmas Present
away and keep em a while. They re too nice to use just at present. Although they no longer had use
for their gifts the mere fact that they would such a selfless act of love was more rewarding than
any other gift. This in itself is wise. Another point to stress in that this willingness to be

Types of Personality Tests
My Personality I took two personality test and scored what I think is pretty accurate. The first
test I took was created by a church but still accurate in the psychology field. By taking this test it
would help you figure out if your personality is one of the four types of people. The four types
are choleric, sanguine, phlegmatic or melancholy. Choleric is in short words adventurous,
determined, outspoken, and strong willed. Next is Sanguine which is playful, sociable, lively,
and imaginative. Phlegmatic is said to be thoughtful, adaptable, attentive, and controlled. Last is
Melancholy which is detailed, orderly, persistent, and deep. On this particular test I took a
series of questions and gave an answer that best fitted me. In doing so I found that I have a
primary and secondary personality. My primary personality was Phlegmatic which means I m
relaxed and chilled out so to speak. My secondary personality was Choleric in term means that I
m kind of commanding but like to get the ball rolling. The next test that I took was the Myers
Briggs Preference Questionnaire. I personally think that by taking this test you can up to 3 of 4
personalities depending on your answers. Just like the test before a series of questions was giving
and my results were (INFP). Now (INFP) means Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting.
Introverted means that a person may prefer to be solitary activities, think before speaking, and may
get exhausted by social interaction. Intuitive

Analysis Of Two In The Campagna
A Psychoanalytic View of Two in the Campagna
Freud suggests that the unconscious is a storehouse for our hidden desires, ambitions, fears,
passion, and irrational thoughts. Since the unconscious is also a part of the psyche, the
unconscious with hidden desires continues to affect us in the form of inferiority feelings, guilt,
nightmares and dreams. The unconscious releases its suppressed wishes and desires through
dreams. Freud believes that for authors, they create literary works to express their unconscious
minds and to gratify their secret desires. Therefore, he declares that the literary work is the author
s dream or fantasy. That is to say that the literary text can be analyzed like a dream to uncover the
hidden desires. Meanwhile, according to psychoanalytic critics, many images in literary work have
their own symbolic significance. Therefore, when analyzing literary works, it is necessary to shift
the focus of surface meanings to the symbolic meanings to find out the true meaning of the literary
work.
Hence, upon analyzing the poem Two in the Campagna , the poem can also be analyzed as a dream
to uncover speaker s unconscious mind and hidden desire. On the ... Show more content on

The Principle Of Social Justice And Advocacy Support...
Introduction
A culturally safe care is defined as what is felt or experienced by a patient when a healthcare
provider communicates with the patient... (Bickford, 2015). Social justice lists the rights of all
people in our community which are to consider to be fair and equitable (Social Justice Principles,
2003). These rights are justified through equity, fairness and equality in marginalized groups of
society that can be visualized in the healthcare system. The basic principles of social justice, which
promotes safe care, are as follows: equity, access, participation and rights (Social Justice
Principles, 2003). Social advocacy plays a vital role to help nurses promote safe care by
safeguarding patient autonomy, acting on behalf of patient, and championing social justice
(Mackey, 2015). The following paper will describe how the principle of social justice and
advocacy support culturally safe care regarding the Aboriginal people and women in Canada.
Social Determinants
To understand cultural safe care is therefore important to understand the history of oneself. The
authors explain in the article Cultural Safety (BrascoupГ© Waters, 2009) that cultural safe care is
the concept to express an approach to the health care that recognizes the contemporary conditions of
aboriginal people which results from their post contact history (Pp 6). The past history of
Aboriginal people of Canada illustrates that the First Nations have gone through a lot of trauma
such as colonization

Three Types of Costs When Quality Considerations
Memo to my supervisor Jane Doyle
Hi Jane
I would like to bring to your attention three types of costs when quality considerations are made
here at Acme Catsup Company. The first costs would be our failure costs. The second would be
our appraisal costs. The third is the cost of prevention.
With failure costs some of the costs would be equipment break downs and spills. Our equipment
costs 3 million dollars so we don t want to replace it for at least 10 years. The routine maintenance
for the equipment is $500,000 a year. The cost for the spills is a total of $120,000 a year. That
includes $50,000 for the training classes on spill prevention and $70,000 for the salary of two new
spill prevention workers.
Some costs of appraisal would be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the spills we would have to hold extra training classes to train the existing workers to stop
the machines before the spills happen. We would also have to hire two new workers to clean the
spills as soon as they happen. The training would cost $50,000 and prevent 80% of the spills. The
two new workers would cost $35,000 each per year for a total of $70,000. That $120,000 would be
well spent because we are spending $500,000 now on spills and breakdowns.
The tradeoff associated with appraisal costs would also be profitable to Acme Catsup Company.
Right now we are losing 3 million a year because of returns and defective products. The new data
collecting system and third party audits would reduce returns and defects by 90%. This would
save us $280,000. The cost for this data collection and third party audits would only be $70,000 a
year. This is a small price to pay considering the amount of money we will save.
The cost of prevention is well worth the tradeoff. Mistake proofing, scheduled maintenance and
Six Sigma will cost out company approximately 2 million a year. We will see the benefits of
mistake proofing and scheduled maintenance after the first few months. These two things alone
will save the company 5 million a year. Six Sigma will take a little longer to see the results of
because of the lengthy process to implement it. After the second year we will see huge

Institutions to study the п¬Ѓeld were established, and their number rapidly increased. The п¬Ѓeld
developed its own subdivisions, with different groups studying international crises, internal wars,
social conflicts and approaches ranging from negotiation and mediation to experimental games.
By the 1980s, conflict resolution ideas were increasingly making a difference in real conflicts.
In South Africa, for example, the Centre for Intergroup Studies was applying the approaches that
had emerged in the п¬Ѓeld to the developing confrontation between apartheid and its challengers,
with impressive results. In the Middle East, a peace process was getting under way in which
negotiators on both sides had gained experience both of each other and of conflict resolution
through problem solving workshops. In Northern Ireland, groups inspired by the new approach had
set up community relations initiatives that were not only reaching across community divides but
were also becoming an accepted responsibility of local government. In war torn regions of Africa
and South East Asia, development workers and humanitarian agencies were seeing the need to take
account of conflict and conflict resolution as an integral part of their activities. By the closing
years of the Cold War, the climate for conflict resolution was changing radically. With relations
between the superpowers improving, the ideological and military competition that had fuelled
many regional conflicts was fading away. Protracted

Learning To Surfing Research Paper
Learning to surf is an amazing experience. However, it does come with its ups and downs. While
actual time spent in the water is the best way to hone your new craft, knowing the most common
mistakes new surfers commit is also key to succeeding. The list provided below will help
beginners avoid some of those missteps.
Not warming up
Warming up before heading into the water is essential to your body s well being. Surfing is a
physically demanding sport, and if you are not careful you can easily injure yourself. Stretching
and going for a short jog before hitting the waves will get the blood in your body flowing and your
joints lucubrated and ready to withstand the physical requirements of surfing.
Don t look down
New surfers often end up looking down at their board. Unfortunately this can throw off your
balance, and balance is a huge part of surfing. Keeping your eyes on the horizon doesn t only help
you stay on your surfboard, but it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, waving your arms around will have the opposite effect, which will most
likely cause you to fall. It s also recommended to not raise your arms above your shoulders. If you
do feel like you are loosing balance, fight the urge to frantically flap your arms around, and instead
bend you knees. The lower your center of gravity the better.
Consistency
As with any sport, the more consistent you are the quicker you ll learn. Obviously, spending time
in the water is key to bettering your technique, but you should also practice on dry land. The
combination of both will help you build muscle memory and increase your reflexes. Studying surf
videos and getting advice from more experienced surfers can also help you master the sport.

Analysis Of Firstlife
Firstlife is a fantasy novel similar to our world where there are two after life s: two heavens and
one hell. Gena Showalter has built a world which lets her show us a side to the human mind
which we don t look at very often. This twisting and turning plot shows how quickly a person s
point of view can change when we learn something we didn t know before. Characters are stuck in
a world where there next life will be decided on which heaventhey chose sign their allegiance to,
and they are polar opposites of each others. Since this is a fantasy world there are some big
differences with it from the one we live in currently. While it has its similarities there are some
major differences with it and ours. Starting with the biggest differencethere are three after lifes: the
Troikarealm, the Myriad realm and the Realm of Many Ends. Currently people today have no
idea what happens when we die. Many religions have many different ways that our lives end.
These versions are some variation on hell and heaven to varying degrees, others believe there is
nothing or that our spirits haunt the world of the living. In Firstlife, the first realm that people
can go to is Troika. This is a realm where the sun never stops shining. This realm is devoted to
helping others and bringing truth to the unknowing. Valuing the human s life and the right to
choose, even if it means that they will be harmed by this choice. Humans who chose to sing with
them are offered the same as the next person, no exceptions. They create family with each new
member added to their rank. There motto being Light Brings Sight! (9). Myriad on the other
hand is almost the exact opposite. This is a realm where the night never comes to a stop. When
they aren t indulging themselves the work hard to accomplish what task they are give. While
Troika give a set deal for everyone no matter who you are, Myriad are willing to talk to see what
they can offer you in the first life as well as the afterlife. The more you want the more you can get
because to them, Might Equals Right! (17). The Realm of Many Ends was a realm originally
created for criminals but eventually became the place where those who are unsigned went. This
realm is basically the hell of this

The IRS will not prosecute individuals who voluntarily contact them to file their back taxes.
However, if the IRS locates you first, before you can file, individuals can receive different

your back taxes Gather important information. When needing to file old returns, find all
documentations that correspond to it. This would include 1099 tax documentations and old W

you received them, for copies. If the business no longer has copies of these documents on file for
you, then phone the IRS and ask for your income data for any missing years. It is very possible
the IRS will be able to provide this information, because every business is required to report the
information directly to the IRS. But what if the IRS is not able to locate that information? Then
you simply fill out a form 4852. This is a substitute W 2 form that approximates the amount of
the W 2 for the needed years. Prepare all your tax forms. Every year has a corresponding tax
form and you will have to acquire them to fill out. The IRS often requires that you file tax
returns for the previous six years of missing tax return, as well as the current year. If they require
that you file tax returns that are more than six years old, you are able to locate these forms on the

Jack Doesn t Want For Start An Outbreak
Another Place, Another Time
Jack didn t want to start an outbreak. What eleven year old did? He didn t even want to find The
Kingdom. All he wanted was to get away from his babysitter, Susanne. Now his whole town was
infected with the Sickness, and it was all his fault.
He sat in his room, his back against the locked door, staring at his hands. The hands were the first
sign of Sickness. A slimy, black ooze would drip off your fingers, seemingly coming from
nowhere. He d seen it on his mom, and on Susanne, and on the whole town. Now he saw it on
himself. It spread up your arms and throughout your body, turning your skin the color of midnight.
You were still yourself then, though. You were still you, until the Sicknessreached your brain.
Jack watched the black droplets splashing onto the ground and melting into the floor boards. He
knew he had to do something about the Sickness that had rapidly taken his whole town. He
swung his backpack over his back and put a cap on over his fair haired head. Then he climbed out
the window (thankfully, his room was on the first floor) and started running towards the only place
he could think to go: The woods.
He recalled three weeks ago, when he had done the same. Jack had come to the woods many
times as a child. He loved the fresh air and cool breeze that came with entering it. It reminded
him of his father, who had gotten very sick and died a year and three weeks before. On that day he
had come here to be alone, and that s when

Northern vs. Southern American Colonies 1700s Essay
By the 1700 s, The northern and souther colonies had evolved into two distinct societies. This is so
because the northern and southern colonies had different environments and also different reasons
of settlement. The North was established for mainly religious freedom, while on the other hand, the
south had been established for economic freedom. The climate also affected the different turnout of
the north and the south. The north was much colder and so their soil was not beneficial for
farming, so the people of the north found other jobs, while on the other side, the south had rich soil
and the colonists there used that idea to set up huge plantations and farms. The northern colonies

The northern colonies were very much different from the southern because they were colonized
for different reasons. The north was colonized for freedom of worship and freedom of political
thought. The colonies had hope for a separate society, where they could show their homeland,
how a country should be run. The northern colonies were based on theocracy, where the state
forced the people to live and worship in an orthodox way. The southern colonies have
characteristics that are the opposites of the New England colony s attributes. The Southern
Colonies were the Province of North Carolina, Province of South Carolina, Virginia and
Province of Georgia. The Southern colonies were developed for freedom of economic
opportunity.Their economy was supported by plantations, mostly run by slaves. The South
would focus more on massive slaves work to grow tobacco and rice that they would sell to
England. The southern colonies had goals for mercantilism, and increasing the prosperity of
England. They also had a government based on a royal government, where the state was
governed by a governor and council named by the king, and an elected assembly chosen by the
people. South colonies had smaller towns, more fields. To sum it all up, the northern and southern
colonies were as different as day and night. They were colonized for different reason. Also they
had a very diverse climate. Their pattern of trade was

Analyzing the Truman Show
One physical feature of Seahaven that reeks of a movie set, is the disorder or absence of, that
typical life indubitably suffers from. Everything from the dog to the cars, the window cleaner to
the mother pushing the pram is set by the director Christoff on a preset course round and round
their particular area or doing the same job over and over again. This prevents any chaos from
erupting and wipes out the need for policemen, which we obviously didn t see any in the Truman
Show. Their itinerary is the same everyday and it is bound to be conspicious, however it is not until
the end of the movie that Truman enlightens upon this fact. Another apparent movie set prop...

surface lava have smaller, less complex crystalline structures. They were cooled much faster when
they were in contact with air or water, and larger, more complex crystalline structure would not be

The Gospels of Matthew and Luke are almost identical at times to each other, as well as the

as a source for the authors of Matthew and Luke. That being said, there are stories included in
both Matthew and Luke that are almost identical to each other, but are not found in Mark. How
could this be? This question has led scholars to believe that there existed a document, in which
they named Q , that both authors of Matthew and Luke used as a source, other than Mark, when

rights policy. This position was common among the Soviet Bloc countries up until it disbanded.

and even avoid it altogether in some cases, like the rights the United States boasts. United States
citizens generally also have the right to vote due to their democratic government, and many post
soviet citizens are now able to boast the same. Voting in these places is a hard fought right. Rachel
Denber, Deputy Director, Europe and Central Asia Division of the Human Rights Watch
organization, writes about the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and about the expectations involved.
Many people immediately thought that without communism in the ex union the governments
would immediately turn to democracy. Those people were wrong because communism still ruled
unfortunately (Denber 1). Any entity opposing those in power was effectively countered, and in
many cases imprisoned for trumped up charges. Newer politicians developed to try to swing the
system towards democracy, but initially failed. Putin has surprisingly been in power for a over
twenty five years with no political opposition, but fortunately there are now countries within this
category that have developed their own systems of government to include democracy. Denber says
that in Ukraine the Orange revolution of 2004 ousted the government s manipulations and put

Hellenistic Skepticism Analysis
This essay will be exploring the Hellenistic Philosophical movement of Skepticism in its
beginnings in academia as well as the teachings and positions of Pyrrhonist skeptics. Hellenistic
skepticism at its core is striving to Suspended judgment , as well as question the basis of truth. In
accordance to this proverbial philosophical quest for truth, the Hellenistic skeptic would take a
different path compared to their contemporary schools of the thought, by negating perceptual belief,
and not affirming anything. To these ancient skeptics this will lead the philosopher down the path
to Suspended Judgement in which, they seek. This Suspended Judgement will bring tranquility to

Arcesilaus core tenants of thought are as followed (i) his dialectical method, (ii) discussion of

Arcesilaus often uses the same dialectical method that was originated with Socrates, however
Arcesilaus took the skeptical approach to this method with the goal to weed out Dogmatic
justifications and conclusions on reality. His criterion of truth, which often was in objection to the

However, the skeptic s approach to truth is that of trying to gain the most objective answer, often
by refuting arguments made earlier in order to see all sides of the question, thus having no true
answer but instead a multitude of ideas that the Hellenistic skeptic would is both true but also false.
Arcesilaus would also argue that there could not be a criterion of truth. Often arguing against the
stoic claim of Cognitive impressions for the skeptics. His main disagreement is if there is

Accounting professionals do important responsibilities beyond preparing financial statements. In a
more critical role, they help managers interpret the statements by comparing data about the firm s
current activities to those for previous periods and to results posted by other companies in the
industry. Fraud, by its very nature, is hidden in the accounting systems of organizations and
therefore a forensic accountant is usually required to unravel the transaction history and reveal what
has actually occurred. As part of this, the forensic accountant is often called upon to quantify the
value of the loss experienced by an organization or individual. Any lost funds are traced from bank

The Round Table was illustrative of the Eternity of God, the equality, unity, and comradeship of the

The Round Table has different variations throughout history on how many knights were under King

The benefit of a Round Table is that there is no established head of the table.

Urban development has resulted in an extensive loss of vegetation and habitat which has

health. In the 1930s, a trapezoidal channel in 15 of the 25 stream miles was created to control
flooding (City of Portland Environmental Services, 2005). However, this action did the complete
opposite. Disconnected from its floodplain, stormwater runoff has overwhelmed the confined
stream channel and has flooded 37 times since 1942 (City of Portland Environmental Services,

Johnson Creek Watershed. Creek sediments are contaminated with pesticides and stream banks

Football Concussions
Concussions in football have become more and more common even though the equipment has
apparently gotten safer. In retrospect it seems the equipment has made concussions more
prominent. Does this mean the sport of football altogether is unsafe or that the players are simply
just not playing the game correctly? Is this the person running the ball fault or the defensive players
fault or both? Over the years that football has progressed with safety, the physical demand of the
sport has also increased. Players went from being roughly only 5 11 on average to 6 2. Their
weight as well has increased. Along with these size increases their strength and speed has increased
as well. With all these changes and the demand becoming greater the equipment had to change as
well. In particular helmets had to change.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This falls mainly on the defensive player, the player that is delivering the hit. When playing
football everything happens in a flash. You have only a few seconds to react to everything
going on. The defensive of player goal is to prevent the other team from scoring at all means
possible. If they can t break up a pass before a receiver grabs the ball the only other option is
delivering a blow to the receiver to stop him from gaining more yards. In the result of this he
may launch himself at the receiver and make contact in the upper head area. In football this
would be considered a defenseless receiver depending on the case but it is still hard when
playing at full speed to determine this. This also takes away from the physical aspect of the
game having to think where and how hard you can hit someone when running 16 20 miles per
hour and weigh 200 or more pounds. Some players jump off the ground with over a thousand
pounds of force meaning if they jump off the ground into another player it will cause some serious
pain. This is just player playing and it s kind of

Thai Mutual Fund Performance Skill or Luck
ABSTRACT
Using a data set on Thai open end domestic equity funds over the June 2000 to October 2007
period. We apply a Bootstrap methodology to distinguish between skill and luck for the individual
funds. A Bootstrap approach is necessary because the nonnormal distributions of individual fund
alphas. This study points to the existence of genuine stock picking skill among the top performing
Thai equity mutual funds, performance which is not solely due to good luck. At the bottom fund,
our analysis strongly rejects the hypothesis that most poor performing funds are merely unlucky.
Most of these funds demonstrate bad skill .

Research Question
With mutual fund alphas that deviate significantly from normality, how many funds from a large
group would we expect to exhibit high alphas simply due to luck, and how does this figure
compare to the number we actually observe?
3
Objectives of the Study
1. To study performance of equity funds in Thailand whether equity funds outperform the
benchmark. 2. To study whether performance of equity funds in Thailand is due to genuine stock
picking skill or in part of luck.
3. To study the performance persistence of equity funds in Thailand.
Scope of the Study
Weekly returns of the universe of Thai open end, domestic equity funds which have been operated
during 2000 to 2007 period.
Limitation of Study
1. The returns used in this research are returns of mutual funds. So, we can only evaluate the stock
picking skill of all managers of funds, not skill of individual fund manager. 2. The returns used in
this research are not the net returns, which already deducts management fee. So, there is possibility
that the underperformed fund is caused by ineffective management of fund not from lack of
manager‟s skill.
Contribution of the Study
To guide the investors of equity funds in Thailand how to invest in the outperformed fund by
considering past performance of fund and genuine stock picking

An Lifelong Pi Visual Analysis
In this picture I see a tourist covers her mouth with her hands due to the strong smell caused by
the mountains of toxic waste and decaying food. In the back of her, there are three boys smiling
at the camera. I believe they re smiling because they re happy to see tourist. The kids in the
image looks like they are around 10 to 12 years old. Their body is cover in dirt, their faces are
dirty, and they don t wear shoes. The boy without shirt is busy picking up trash. The hut in the
picture look like the place where the kids and their family live. The reason I pick this image is
because it shows the horror of child labor in poor country. This picture was taken at Anlong Pi, a
huge wasteland, just outside

Forensic Science Essay example
Forensic Science has contributed to our world a great deal. People often misunderstand Forensic
Science and believe it is much more capable than it really is. As a matter of fact what you see on
T.V. is around 80% false or over exaggerated in some way. To Start of, Criminal Investigation is the
largest and most known form of Forensic Science. Some of the more known areas include;
Fingerprinting, Ballistics, DNA Identification, Fiber Samples, Computer Animation, Documentation
analysis, etc. To get this out of the way in the beginning, what you saw on last nights law and order
is far from the truth. Things they do in a matter of hours take months at a time, and most of the time
aren t even plausible concepts.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Computer Animation is another valuable aspect in Forensics. Many People believe that they
are getting virtually framed , and that computer animations are inconclusive. This has been
shown to be wrong and is said to be much more accurate then an actual man reenactment.
Computers are able to precisely pinpoint every single aspect of the reenactment. Some argue
that this may Create reality and not illustrate it, but that s up to the court to decide. An example
of how this works was used when a snowplow struck an Iowa State basketball players car killing
him. The plow driver was going 10 miles over the speed limit. This video was recreated and
showed a fatal blow the side of the deceased s car. Although he was speeding this movie was
recreated with the plow going the speed limit and he still would have been fatally killed. The Iowa
student didn t look when pulling out into the intersection if you re wondering. Also, Forensic
Scientists use computer animation to simulate the aging or appearance change in a criminal or
deceased individual. Though this is a great technique, things cannot always be exactly 100%
certain on the reconstruction. A lot of the deciding whether this if valid, is up too the jury souly.
This can even help provide the cause of death in a badly degraded badly.
Documentation Examination is another very important aspect in Forensic Science.

Four Propaganda Techniques In Advertisements
There are four propaganda techniques in the poster I created. The first technique I used is the
celebrity technique. People tend to pay attention to famous people when they are in advisements.
Celebrities grab our attention when we see them in an advertisement. The picture of NBA Star
Kevin Durant will grab people s attention and make them wonder if Sparkling ICE Naturally
Flavored Sparkling water is good. Kevin Durant endorses sparkling Ice and tells everyone that he
drinks it every day. After a long day on the court, Kevin Durant drinks a refreshing bottle of
Sparkling ICE to hydrate his body. The second technique I used is rhetorical questions. I used a
rhetorical question in the beginning of the advertisement to get the readers to agree

Why Are Civil Liberties More Important Than Homeland Security
How Civil Liberties Are More Important Than Homeland Security
What is homeland security? The exact definition of homeland security is Precautions taken by the
government of specified country against terrorist attacks according to Dictionary.com. However,
when it comes to protection, are the people of the US willing to give up their natural civil liberties?
The civil liberties, found in the Bill of Rights, are the people s fundamental rights; such as freedom
of speech, religion, and even privacy. These rights are protected by law against unwarranted
governmental interference on their lives. Benjamin Franklin once said, Those who would give up
essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety (from
npr.org).
Before the Obama Administration was in charge of secretly collecting phone records and accessed
the internet activity of many, there was the Bush Administration. In late 2005, President George W.
Bush authorized the National Security Agency. With this organization, they are able to monitor
phone calls and emails without court permission. Just a year later, public support for the ... Show

Many argue, including Deborah Jacobs, executive director of ACLU (American Civil Liberties
Union of New Jersey) that the Patriot Act violates the 4th Amendment. What many do not know, is
that there are warrants that the government use for homeland security. Warrants such as the Sneak
and Peek Warrants or the Trap and Trace Searches . The American Civil Liberties Union argued
how the Trap and Trace Searches are a breach of the 4th Amendment because their are no probable

Comparison Of The Chrysler Building And The Seagram Building
When thinking of buildings that were ahead of their time two come to mind the Chrysler Building
and the Seagram Building. Both of these structures were built to withstand the elements of time
and are still beautiful to this day. These buildings have been featured on the cover of magazines,
tv shows and are modern marvels in today s society. Between the two buildings, one can not help
but look at the similarities as well as the differences between the two. Today I want to discuss these
differences as well as the similarities and go into greater detail on why these buildings are
significant. The Chrysler Buildingis an Art Decostyle skyscraper that was built during one of the
most severe economic downturns in this country s history. The building was finished in the year
1930 and is located in New York City. The Chrysler Building was constructed using stainless steel
over an exposed building surface which was a first for its time (History of Walter P. Chrysler and
the Chrysler Building, n.d.). The next important thing to think about when understanding the
Chrysler Building is to figure out what it was designed for. Although the building was not owned
by Chrysler it was used for the corporation s offices which used the building until the mid 1950 s
(Chrysler Building, n.d). Next, when one looks at the Chrysler Building they can tell it represents
an Art Deco style by its many unique features. The Chrysler Building represents the Art Deco style
because of its monuments,

  • 2. Difference Between Pharmacy And Clinical Pharmacy Retail vs. Clinical Pharmacy Options abound in the field of pharmacy. Two popular paths in pharmacy are clinical (or hospital) pharmacy and retail (or community) pharmacy. Retail pharmacists work either at a pharmacy in a store or at an independently owned pharmacy, while clinical pharmacists work directly with physicians and patients in a hospital or other health care facility ( What Pharmacists Do ). Both clinical and retail pharmacy jobs have their specific benefits and drawbacks, but retail pharmacy is more advantageous to a recent pharmacy graduate pursuing this career. Retail pharmacy involves less stress than clinical pharmacy. In retail, the pharmacist s main task is issuing medication to customers ( What Pharmacists Do ). They stock and label medications, fill prescriptions, direct customers about the use of the drugs, give them general medical advice, and answer questions they might have about over the counter medicine ( What Pharmacists Do ). Likewise, clinical pharmacists work with customers, which are in this case the patients, but they also interact personally with doctors; in the hospital, some pharmacists may even go on patient rounds with them ( What Pharmacists Do ). Clinical pharmacy entails consulting with doctors about medications and recommending a course of action, not just filling prescriptions ( What Pharmacists Do ). The answer is in the ads, the alcoholcompanies are promoting fun times and joyous lives. Therefore, the underage students see drinking as a social normand think they might even have a better life after they start drinking. Nonetheless, people know the cold hard truth about alcohol, it is an unhealthy and even deadly substance. The War With Catiline, by Sallust and The First Speech Against Lucius Sergius Catilina, by Cicero, both contain excellent examples of writings from the age of the great Roman Empire. Although both are fantastic pieces depicting a time of tragedy, the Catiline Conspiracy against Rome, and they both think Catiline as evil, the two are also different. Sallust recounts the history of the Catiline Conspiracy with much detail concerning who was involved and the specific actions taken by both the conspirators and the Senate. Sallust tells it almost as an exciting story where the good is fighting the evil. Cicero was a member of the Senate during the time of Catiline s Conspiracy. His life was many times in danger due to Catiline s hatred of him. His piece shows a first hand point of view of the whole situation. Cicero, in The First Speech Against Lucius Sergius Catilina, delivers a speech proposing what actions should be made to stop Catiline. It is very obvious that Cicero expresses a hatred for Catiline, but surprisingly he does not propose a death sentence for Catiline in fear for his own reputation in the Senate. The story was centered around a seemingly poor couple who did not have enough money to buy each other the gifts that their significant other deserved. The story took place during Christmas. The Gift of the Magi is like a classic wisdom story in the bible. O Henrys choice of title depicts symbolism between the three magi that brought gold, frankincense, and mur, to the baby Jesus and the gifts that Jim and Della had given to each other which mainly consisted of selfless love, Della s hair and Jims pocket watch. Thus leading to the use of situational irony in which they both receive gifts for something they gave up in order to give the other a gift. Jim and Della perform an act of selfless love by their willingness to give something that held great value to them in order to get special presents for each other on Christmas. They do all of this out of love for the other. However, you will see that these gives prove to end up having no use in the end but that is not the main point. This love that they have for each other is far greater value than any gift that could be given. Jim doesn t overreact or get angry with this conclusion. Rather, he tells Stella, Let s put our Christmas Present away and keep em a while. They re too nice to use just at present. The four types are choleric, sanguine, phlegmatic or melancholy. Choleric is in short words adventurous, determined, outspoken, and strong willed. Next is Sanguine which is playful, sociable, lively, and imaginative. Phlegmatic is said to be thoughtful, adaptable, attentive, and controlled. Last is Melancholy which is detailed, orderly, persistent, and deep. On this particular test I took a series of questions and gave an answer that best fitted me. Since the unconscious is also a part of the psyche, the unconscious with hidden desires continues to affect us in the form of inferiority feelings, guilt, nightmares and dreams. The unconscious releases its suppressed wishes and desires through dreams. Freud believes that for authors, they create literary works to express their unconscious minds and to gratify their secret desires. The routine maintenance for the equipment is $500,000 a year. The cost for the spills is a total of $120,000 a year. The two new workers would cost $35,000 each per year for a total of $70,000. That $120,000 would be well spent because we are spending $500,000 now on spills and breakdowns. The tradeoff associated with appraisal costs would also be profitable to Acme Catsup Company. Right now we are losing 3 million a year because of returns and defective products. Gena Showalter has built a world which lets her show us a side to the human mind which we don t look at very often. This twisting and turning plot shows how quickly a person s point of view can change when we learn something we didn t know before. Characters are stuck in a world where there next life will be decided on which heaventhey chose sign their allegiance to, and they are polar opposites of each others. Since this is a fantasy world there are some big differences with it from the one we live in currently. While it has its similarities there are some major differences with it and ours. Starting with the biggest differencethere are three after lifes: the Troikarealm, the Myriad realm and the Realm of Many Ends. Currently people today have no idea what happens when we die. Many religions have many different ways that our lives end. These versions are some variation on hell and heaven to varying degrees, others believe there is nothing or that our spirits haunt the world of the living. In Firstlife, the first realm that people can go to is Troika. This is a realm where the sun never stops shining. This realm is devoted to helping others and bringing truth to the unknowing. Valuing the human s life and the right to choose, even if it means that they will be harmed by this choice. Humans who chose to sing with them are offered the same as the next person, no exceptions. They create family with each new member added to their rank. There motto being Light Brings Sight! (9). Myriad on the other hand is almost the exact opposite. This is a realm where the night never comes to a stop. When they aren t indulging themselves the work hard to accomplish what task they are give. While Troika give a set deal for everyone no matter who you are, Myriad are willing to talk to see what they can offer you in the first life as well as the afterlife. The more you want the more you can get because to them, Might Equals Right! (17). The Realm of Many Ends was a realm originally created for criminals but eventually became the place where those who are unsigned went. This realm is basically the hell of this ... How to file your back taxes Gather important information. When needing to file old returns, find all documentations that correspond to it. This would include 1099 tax documentations and old W 2s. if you are unable to locate these documents, you are able to inquire with the business where you received them, for copies. If the business no longer has copies of these documents on file for you, then phone the IRS and ask for your income data for any missing years. It is very possible the IRS will be able to provide this information, because every business is required to report the information directly to the IRS. But what if the IRS is not able to locate that information? Then you simply fill out a form 4852. This is a substitute W 2 form that approximates the amount of the W 2 for the needed years. The IRS often requires that you file tax returns for the previous six years of missing tax return, as well as the current year. All he wanted was to get away from his babysitter, Susanne. Now his whole town was infected with the Sickness, and it was all his fault. He sat in his room, his back against the locked door, staring at his hands. The hands were the first sign of Sickness. A slimy, black ooze would drip off your fingers, seemingly coming from nowhere. He knew he had to do something about the Sickness that had rapidly taken his whole town. He swung his backpack over his back and put a cap on over his fair haired head. Then he climbed out the window (thankfully, his room was on the first floor) and started running towards the only place he could think to go: The woods. He recalled three weeks ago, when he had done the same. Jack had come to the woods many times as a child. He loved the fresh air and cool breeze that came with entering it. The Southern colonies were developed for freedom of economic opportunity.Their economy was supported by plantations, mostly run by slaves. The South would focus more on massive slaves work to grow tobacco and rice that they would sell to England. The southern colonies had goals for mercantilism, and increasing the prosperity of England. Voting in these places is a hard fought right. Rachel Denber, Deputy Director, Europe and Central Asia Division of the Human Rights Watch organization, writes about the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and about the expectations involved. Many people immediately thought that without communism in the ex union the governments would immediately turn to democracy. Those people were wrong because communism still ruled unfortunately (Denber 1). Any entity opposing those in power was effectively countered, and in many cases imprisoned for trumped up charges. Newer politicians developed to try to swing the system towards democracy, but initially failed. • 45. An Lifelong Pi Visual Analysis In this picture I see a tourist covers her mouth with her hands due to the strong smell caused by the mountains of toxic waste and decaying food. In the back of her, there are three boys smiling at the camera. I believe they re smiling because they re happy to see tourist. The kids in the image looks like they are around 10 to 12 years old. Their body is cover in dirt, their faces are dirty, and they don t wear shoes. The boy without shirt is busy picking up trash. The hut in the picture look like the place where the kids and their family live. The reason I pick this image is because it shows the horror of child labor in poor country. • 46. Forensic Science Essay example Forensic Science has contributed to our world a great deal. People often misunderstand Forensic Science and believe it is much more capable than it really is. As a matter of fact what you see on T.V. is around 80% false or over exaggerated in some way. To Start of, Criminal Investigation is the largest and most known form of Forensic Science. Some of the more known areas include; Fingerprinting, Ballistics, DNA Identification, Fiber Samples, Computer Animation, Documentation analysis, etc. To get this out of the way in the beginning, what you saw on last nights law and order is far from the truth. This has been shown to be wrong and is said to be much more accurate then an actual man reenactment. Computers are able to precisely pinpoint every single aspect of the reenactment. Some argue that this may Create reality and not illustrate it, but that s up to the court to decide. An example of how this works was used when a snowplow struck an Iowa State basketball players car killing him. The plow driver was going 10 miles over the speed limit. This video was recreated and showed a fatal blow the side of the deceased s car. Although he was speeding this movie was recreated with the plow going the speed limit and he still would have been fatally killed. The Iowa student didn t look when pulling out into the intersection if you re wondering. Also, Forensic Scientists use computer animation to simulate the aging or appearance change in a criminal or deceased individual. Though this is a great technique, things cannot always be exactly 100% certain on the reconstruction. A lot of the deciding whether this if valid, is up too the jury souly. This can even help provide the cause of death in a badly degraded badly. Documentation Examination is another very important aspect in Forensic Science. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Four Propaganda Techniques In Advertisements There are four propaganda techniques in the poster I created. The first technique I used is the celebrity technique. People tend to pay attention to famous people when they are in advisements. Celebrities grab our attention when we see them in an advertisement. The picture of NBA Star Kevin Durant will grab people s attention and make them wonder if Sparkling ICE Naturally Flavored Sparkling water is good. Kevin Durant endorses sparkling Ice and tells everyone that he drinks it every day. After a long day on the court, Kevin Durant drinks a refreshing bottle of Sparkling ICE to hydrate his body. The second technique I used is rhetorical questions. I used a rhetorical question in the beginning of the advertisement to get the readers to agree ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The civil liberties, found in the Bill of Rights, are the people s fundamental rights; such as freedom of speech, religion, and even privacy. These rights are protected by law against unwarranted governmental interference on their lives. • 49. Comparison Of The Chrysler Building And The Seagram Building When thinking of buildings that were ahead of their time two come to mind the Chrysler Building and the Seagram Building. Both of these structures were built to withstand the elements of time and are still beautiful to this day. These buildings have been featured on the cover of magazines, tv shows and are modern marvels in today s society. Between the two buildings, one can not help but look at the similarities as well as the differences between the two. Today I want to discuss these differences as well as the similarities and go into greater detail on why these buildings are significant. The Chrysler Buildingis an Art Decostyle skyscraper that was built during one of the most severe economic downturns in this country s history. The building was finished in the year 1930 and is located in New York City. The Chrysler Building was constructed using stainless steel over an exposed building surface which was a first for its time (History of Walter P. Chrysler and the Chrysler Building, n.d.). The next important thing to think about when understanding the Chrysler Building is to figure out what it was designed for. Although the building was not owned by Chrysler it was used for the corporation s offices which used the building until the mid 1950 s (Chrysler Building, n.d).
