More importantly, it makes Ichiro loathe himself more because he feels as though
being a No no boy makes him incapable of being American since he is not deserving
or capable of walking around proudly like the veterans. Unlike the veterans, Ichiro
finds himself unable to prove that he is American which leaves him with his
Japanese identity. However, it is that same Japanese identity that got him interned,
imprisoned, harassed, and in the position that he is in now. Above all, what is
clearly visible is that there is not only a separation within the nation but a
separation within the entire Japanese community. The differences in Ichiro s

A sample realization of the codes for simulating 3D particle reinforced composite is
depicted in Figure 3. The results of these efforts have been (and will continue to be)
published in peer reviewed journals of science and presented in major engineering
conferences. Moreover, methods developed for this research can be made compatible
for advancing research in phase change materials, coatings, tissue engineering, and
many more frontiers of science.
During my master s degree at Villanova University, I conducted an experimental
research under the supervision of Dr. Jens O.M. Karlsson at Biothermal Sciences
Laboratory . In this NSF funded research position, I designed, built, and optimized
different types of glass capillary microfluidic devices, and utilized them for producing
micro emulsions. Subsequently, these micro emulsions were used for investigating
ice nucleation and crystallization in supercooled ultrapure water, for which I used
high speed imaging technique in conjunction with a powerful optical microscope and
a cryo stage. Figure 4 is a micrograph taken from one such video. Needless to
mention, the knowledge gained from these experiments can open new doors to
understanding mechanisms of damage in cells and tissue due to preservation at cryo
temperatures.
