For the psychology and education world there are two tests, of many, that measure ability and
achievement for children who have been referred for a variety of academic and behavioral
concerns. These tests are known as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Fourth Edition
(WISC IV) and the Woodcock Johnson III (WJ III). In the school system these children are
referred and given one of these or both tests by the school psychologist. By using these assessments
teachers and school staff are able to identify specific difficulties that these students are having and
how to move on in the observation process. The first test is the WISC IV, this test measures the
students intellectual abilities. The test is administered to children ages 6 to 16 and are given by

For this assignment I decided to head out to Docweiler Beach near LAX. I love the beach, not so
much for going swimming or getting wet but more to lay in the sand and just relax to the

aggression to obtain their wants and needs. A social story can be defined as a story written to
allow a child to emphasize a social skill such as how to ask for a turn, usually after a troublesome
behavior occurs such as displaying aggression. Social stories can be used successfully as an
intervention in the classroom for children ages 4 5 for teaching and modeling appropriate social
behaviors. Using social stories alone may not be as successful as the use of social stories
combined with contingencies such as: Verbal prompting and the use of a response cost token
economy where tokens can be used to obtain rewards. Current research studies which conclude
social studies are successful in changing behaviorare being challenged by additional research which
concludes prior success may be due to confounding variables, questionable research design and

the Sheriff and County Attorney make fun of Mrs. Wright worrying about her fruit being broken
by the house being cold, we are told the ladies draw closer together. The atmosphere is getting to be
ladies against men.
When the men leave the kitchen the ladies then feel free to look around. They gently handle the
unbroken fruit knowing how much work it involved. The empty rocking chair strikes a nerve in
them that the owner is gone from her somber kitchen. The women set about their duties of
gathering up clothes for Mrs. Wright in a businesslike way.

It s no secret that there are countries that are more privileged than others. For example, here in the
United States of America having clean drinking water, garbage pickup trucks, health clinics is
something common. Like we don t even think about not having access to these things. In
developing countries things these things i just listed are more often rare than they are common.
The topic i will talking about is the effects of polluted water in developing countries and solutions
that can be put into effect to help change these circumstances.
So how does polluted water come to be in developing countries ? Well there has to be a source. The
main ways that water is contaminated are human and animal waste, lack of sanitation and lack of
