Uttar Hindu Politics Essay
The post independence era of India saw the appearance of the congress party as the first even party to
form a government also India s Predominance of congress at nationalism that it brought along itself,
thereby giving congress a national identity whose legacy could not be challenged by the merge
opposition. Uttar Pradesh due to its sheer size and historical importance has always remained to be a
key state within the Indian union. The first UP assembly was held in 1951 52. Congress kept on
changing ministers to an extent that UP saw the change of five chief ministers in 15 years including

developments in the field of Dalit assertiveness. Bahujan Samaj Party in its rule, mobilized in three
major stands including the (1) Bahujan phase, (2) alliances formed with Samajwadi Party(another
subaltern party) , (3) post Bahujan party where BSP formed friendly relations with upper caste parties
namely Congress and BJP. The rise of BSP is basically the result of the policy of reservation which
was implemented successfully by the previous governments. BSP politics is modest in nature and
deals with the issues of social justice, economic enhancement owing to state interference, social
equality and human rights. BSP is an Ambedkarite party who aims in changing the existing political
system and giving power in the hands of the dalits. However, democratization and societal
developments brought in new opportunities for women. BSP was formed by Kashi Ram who entitled
Mayawati as his successor in 2001. Mayawati became the youngest and the first scheduled caste chief

Mustang Convertible Is No Different
His car stalls in the driveway while he gathers his necessities. It is a simple machine the one of
dreams, an American car for an American kid. Ford has always made exceptional vehicles. The 2001
Mustang convertible is no different. Much like where its name is derived from, it seems to gallop
through town stealing the attention of all who witness the glistening green tint. It is not a statement; it
is not a cry for attention. Simply put: it is youth. Before embarking, the top is set down like the curtain
of a play waiting to burst with art. Setting off with the sun behind his back, he reminds himself that he
will grow old. Following aspirations requires something much more dependable. A man s first car will
simply not do the trick. Another must step in and assume the reigns. Driving effortlessly into the
twilight, he begins to wonder how this car will affect its next owner. That new handler will clench the
door handle with an excitement that can not be measured. The transition into the drivers seat is so
smooth and mesmerizing. He will become a new man. Gripping the coarse steering wheel, the feeling
of euphoria carries him over to the shifter, the sense of power is running through his veins. Shifting
into drive is a pleasure he respects each and every time. Driving down the main strip of town the hair
on the back of his neck, irritated at first by the change in temperature, is now standing in applause of
his decision to take the car for a midnight cruise.

Readiness To Collaborate Scale (PCA)
The proposed study will employ a quantitative survey design approach that will set out to validate a
new scale; the Readiness to Collaborate Scale. This study will focus on validation and internal
consistency through the use of Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and Chronbach s Alpha (CA).
This study will not be testing for reliability. In order to test for test retest reliability, two assumptions
are required. The first is that the characteristic being measured, in this case readiness to collaborate
does not change over the time period, which, for respondents taking the survey, it may, due to entering
into a team prior to the next test. The second assumption is that the time between each test is sufficient
enough that respondents do not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each phase will use different participants. The Readiness to Collaborate Scale will be a quantitative
measure. However, to properly develop the survey, this study will be informed by some interviews

will focus on the development and validation of an instrument that can be used to gauge readiness for
individual practitioners to enter into interprofessional collaborative teams. This study will not
investigate any subsequent interventions that may rise from a practitioner taking the survey. However,
it is possible, that where barriers to collaboration may be identified through the analysis of the tool,
organizations may have workshops or other continuing educational opportunities to address them.

The Adelphia Scandal Essay
The Adelphia Scandal In 1952, John Rigas purchased his own cable company. By the late 1990 s, he
had turned it into the sixth largest cable company in the United States with 5.6 million customers. The
business was always run as a family style business which led to fraudulent acts among family
members and upper level executives. The family has been accused of stealing $3.1 billion from
Adelphia and is now facing criminal charges. Adelphia was forced to file chapter 11 bankruptcy and as
of April 24, 2004, the new board of directors made the decision to break up the company and sell it.
The Adelphia scandal is morally wrong because the Rigas family coerced and exploited employees,

In addition, the Rigas family harmed all the stakeholders. Stakeholders are those groups who have a
specific stake in or claim on the firm. Specifically suppliers, customers, employees, stockholders, and
local community, as well as management (Freeman 56). Adelphia Coliseum, now renamed The
Coliseum, had to be renamed because of Adelphia s bankruptcy. Adelphia Coliseum was a stakeholder.
This made everyone who utilized the stadium a stakeholder as well. The stakeholders were harmed
because when Adelphia went bankrupt, the coliseum was not completely paid for. Therefore, they had
to find alternative ways to pay for the coliseum. The Rigas family was the manager of Adelphia and
had a fiduciary responsibility to the stakeholders. This scandal was immoral because Adelphia did not
fulfill their responsibilities to their stakeholders when it was their duty. According to Milton Friedman,
stockholders are the owners of the corporation, and hence corporate profits belong to the stockholders.
Managers have a moral obligation to manage the firm in the interest of the stockholders (Friedman
45). Adelphia was managed in such a way that it was not in the stockholder s interest, in fact, it was
only managed in the interest of the Rigas family. It is wrong to harm the stockholders because they
have entrusted the company with their money with an expected return and maybe an

Steroids In The 1960 s
The 1960 s were a dramatic time in the United States. It was a time of free love, the Vietnam war and
steroid use in sports. Government agencies were forced to take action and to put a stop to drug use in
sports after the deaths for steroid use in the 1960 and 1967 Olympics. They were also forced to strip
away victories from so many well respected men and women. This time period was known for so
many things, but it will always be remembered as the golden age of steroids. It all began around 1935,
steroid use was rare at this time. Then suddenly it was starting to be looked at and taken seriously
around 1965 as it became more common. A man named Mr. Olympia, Larry Scott also know as Larry

How Does Nabokov Build Pnin
A book with no plot, sentence structure that messes with the very rules of what it means to write, and
contains sentences so long they can last five lines and become so confusing a reader may need to read
them three of four times to grasp their meaning, does not sound like it would make a very good book.
But, in this masterpiece of a character study, Nabokov is able to build Pnin throughout the book,
despite there not being any goal he is working towards and having the scenes be strung together
without a connection, simply throwing the reader headfirst into various snapshots of this character s
life. Usually in a book the character receives some of his characterizations through his experiences
and the change that happens naturally as they progress to some sort of climax, but Pnin does not have
this shift because there is no climax, there is no personality shift or lesson learned from him that
provides the reader with a resolved image of Pnin, instead we figure Pnin out through the small tidbits
of life and actions we are given, along with the unconventional writing style of Nabokov. He is able to
portray this awkward protagonist, even uses a narrator to break the third wall, making fun of Pnin,
making the reader feel for him and connect to his situation because he comes across as a kind hearted
man, who struggles with social situations and language because of his past and his culture of being
and knowing Russian as his first language. Nabokov builds Pnin s cultural identity

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
A diagnostic medical sonographer who specializes in obstetric sonography is able to capture the
images of a fetus inside the mother s uterus. This type of sonography is used to monitor the growth
and development of the fetus as well as its health. Imagine seeing a parent s joyful expression towards
one another when they hear the sound of their baby s heartbeat for the first time. Or to witness their
smiles from ear to ear when they get to see their baby move and wiggle about inside the mother over
the ultrasound screen. This special moment is something that an obstetric sonographer has the pleasure
of witnessing every day. Pursuing an education is important when it comes to being successful at a
career. To become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, it is essential to graduate high school and
college, taking all the required classes that are necessary. High school classes that are most beneficial
to students wanting to become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer are classes in anatomy, physiology,
and physics (Kriegh, Chaylene). To become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, a college degree is
needed. It usually takes four to six years to complete a bachelor s or master s degree in sonography
(Hiltgen, Lisa). The first two years of college are focused on completing an associate s degree in an
ultrasound program to attain an Allied Health Associates degree. The completion of

they can t write well, there is no point. It s like listening to two same age high school students speak

tomorrow the writing class could help the writing not only be efficient but clear as well. It will teach
the student everything needed to write successfully. This means that they will write better and turn in
better work for that. This all leads to get better grades in that subject. Secondly, this class is an easy
boost for english. All there is to do in this class is to correct work from the english class taught by the
same teacher. If the student takes constructive criticism and corrects the work, they can easily get
good grades. If this class is 25% of the english grade that means even a failing student can get a 100%

MISHAPS Analysis of Shuttle Challenger and Columbia Shuttle Mishaps ENG 401 Assignment 04
March 2013 Introduction On January 1986, the Challenger Shuttle blew up shortly after it took off.
The accidents took seven lives including aerospace engineers, the specialties pilot, and scientists. The
tragic accidents occurred 73 seconds after the flight and caused by the fuel leak from one of the two
Solid Rocket Boosters. The explosion represented one of the most significant events in 1980s.
However, 17 years after the explosion of the Challenger Shuttle, the Shuttle Colombia also had an in
flight explosion leading to the loss of seven lives. The objective of this paper is to analyze the
Columbia mishap with reference to resistance to change and how the issues contribute to the accident.

organizational effectiveness. An organization needs to implement changes to stay productive,
competitive as well as avoiding calamity in the case of aviation sector. Changes are the process of
instilling new attitudes, values, norms and behaviors within an organization to support the way of
doing work. However, the implementation of changes is a task that requires adequate planning and

I Have Always Had A Love For Dark Eyeliners
I have always had a love for dark eyeliners. For me the accentuate my eyes, and make them look
bigger, while enhancing the green color of my eyes. I had been for quite some time using an eyeliner
jug, which I loved, but at the same time, hated how long it took to apply the liner. These days I m
more about fast, simple, and effective. When I came across Revlon Bedroom Eyes Powder Liner,
Fishnet Jet 660, at my local Rite Aide, I was immediately intrigued. A liner that goes on in a powdered
form, yet is applied in the same manner that a wet liner would be applied. Revlon Bedroom Eyes
Powder Liner, Fishnet Jet 660, comes in what appears to be a liquid eyeliner type container. At the
bottom there is a small pot, where a screw on cap reveals the actual application wand. I seriously had
no idea what to expect, and the in store advertisement was vague, and showed bland color results on
the color menu which was located right below the rack of liners. I went with Fishnet Jet, because on
the advertising it appeared to be the darkest color; yet it also looked as if it had some sort of navy tint
going on. The word NEW stood out, and I couldn t resist it. I went ahead and made the purchase. I
hoped it worked well, because honestly $9.95 for such a small container is a bit much in my opinion.
My Use: When I first opened up the package, I unscrewed the top and found that the application wand
had a large sponge applicator at the end. A lot larger than what I was expecting. I usually

Nominating Process
The US Government textbook, an article, and my notes contain the essential information about
campaigns and elections. At the same time, that information might be too confusing and hard to
comprehend.Due to the fact that it is very crucial to know and be a part of political society , I will try
to explain it. In order to clarify that topic, I am going to provide a summary. As a result, by using these
three main sources, I will try to make the process of becoming a county s representative, a la
President, more coherent.
In order to make it work, I have divided this summary into two main sections which also have sub
sections. The first section is going to be about nominating process. In other words, I highlighted the
vital steps of becoming a nominee from a party. Its sub sections will include self announcement,
raising funds, running in primaries, etc. In the second section , I talked about general elections. Which
includes building coalition, debates, holding votes, and finally becoming a President of the United

Essay about Americans Have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Americans Have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Our rights as Americans started to take shape when the Constitution of the United States was drawn up
by the delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Three years later, a very important
part of American history called the Bill of Rights was added. The Bill of Rights is looked upon and
interpreted every day. It gives the citizens of the United States many of the rights and freedoms that
we value today, and some of those are in jeopardy. One right that is at stake is our right to bear arms,
which is addressed in the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is a highly debatable topic,

Several states have added right to carry laws, while others have made it illegal to possess a concealed
weapon (Smith 22). Most of the additional laws deal with the ownership and use of handguns and
assault type weapons. There has been much debate and government lobbying dealing with the passing
of gun laws. Many people think the government is focusing too much on the laws about guns, because
90 percent of all violent crime in the United States does not involve any type of firearm (Smith 17).
Other countries around the world have also set examples by having gun laws. Guns are banned in the
United Kingdom, and the crime rate has risen since that time (Smith 24). Also, within the United
States, the crime rate in the states is lower if the states have right to carry laws (Smith 22). The other
major problem with gun laws in the United States is that they are simply not being enforced (Smith
15). These facts and others involving the positive uses of guns are argued in court rooms and
government offices around the country every day. As government officials study the facts and make
laws, they continue to maintain the people s right to bear arms.
When thinking about the people s right to bear arms, it is appropriate to know that not all stories about
guns are bad. Guns are not always used for violence, and the government seems to be keeping this fact
in mind. Positive stories about people having their lives saved by guns seem to

Ironically just two years later I owned a pair of my own pet rats in highschool, I know that they are
not the monsters that I was made to believe but smart, clean and loving animals when raised properly.
Unfortunately this kind of fallacy is not uncommon, we all hold beliefs that are wrong but have not
been challenged or confronted before. Carl Sagan, a prominent astrophysicist and professor, touches
on these topics in his essay The dragon in my garage , In this essay he confronts the idea that it s
possible to believe something that to others is obviously false by constructing an imaginary dragon as
an illustration. Though it is well known that dragons are not real, he uses this as a thought experiment
to describe the misplaced beliefs that people can hold. In his example Sagan s dragon cannot be
measured for all intents and purposes besides rare physical manifestations of it s power, yet people
choose to believe it s existence based solely off these small and refutable pieces of evidence. Despite
Sagan s effort to disprove this dragon does all he can to disprove this dragon, by coming up with a
myriad of ways to test its existence yet it is unsuccessful as the dragon is always one step ahead of

Essay Jewish Resistance to the Nzi Holocaust
Despite all of these internal and external factors contributing to a lack of Jewish resistance to the
Holocaust, there was resistance in existence in many forms; the resistance that did occur must not be
diminished or overlooked. When considering the definition of resistance , historians divide themselves
on what this entails; some believe it to be only active, armed resistance attempts, while others define it
more liberally. According to Yehuda Bauer, resistance entails any group action consciously taken in
opposition to known or surmised laws, actions, or intentions directed against the Jews by the Germans
and their supporters. Considering resistance with a broad definition such as this ensures that the efforts

This symbolic form of resistance is placed within Bauer s definition of resistance in that it entailed
group demonstrations and protests actively opposed to the Nazi regime. Non violent resistance began
to evolve as the Jews were transported to the concentration camps. Upon their initial arrival in the
concentration camps, inmates attempted to aid each other in various ways, such as by giving those that
were extremely malnourished extra food or attempting to lessen the workload on those that were
weaker by taking their place; these acts, although not aimed directly against the SS, were simply
keeping one another alive. These acts can be considered under Bauer s definition of resistance in that
the groups motives in sustaining themselves as a whole was in direct opposition to the central idea of
the SS to break down and destroy the Jewish population. These acts also helped lead to the later
active, armed resistance in that they helped to keep inmates alive and maintain their strength, as well
as providing them with a will to resist. As the Jews became aware of their imminent extinction,
resistance continued to evolve, taking a more direct form in instances of escape and sabotage. There
were instances of Jewish escape from concentration camps; two Jewish prisoners successfully escaped
from Dachau in 1933 and later publicized what was occurring in the camp. However, instances of

Richard Nixon s Pardon Rhetorical Analysis Essay

Ford gave a speech pardoning his predecessor, former President Richard Nixon, of all offenses against
the United States that he may have committed during his presidency. The announcement was made
live on September 8, 1974. The speech was written to persuade the country to agree with the
pardoning of Nixon and forgive him for the crimes he had committed against his country. Ford states
that Theirs (Nixon s Family) is an American tragedy in which we all have played a part. It could go on

By referring to Richard Nixon as former President it brings attention to the fact that Nixon was once a
President of The United States, and that he should be respected and possibly even forgiven; because
he was once in charge of the country and was once trusted by the entire country. Gerald Ford uses the
logic of his reasons, and the effectiveness of its supporting evidence to convey why it is so important
that he pardons Nixon now, rather than let the Supreme Court deal with the matter. He announces,
...many months and perhaps more years will have to pass before Richard Nixon could obtain a fair
trial by jury in any jurisdiction of the United States under governing decisions of the Supreme Court.
He uses the Supreme Court, the highest of all courts, to support his claim that pardoning Nixon was
the best decision; and he does this by affirming that the Supreme Court would take too long and if
they couldn t make a decision, no other court in the United States would be able to make a decision.
Making it palpable that he is the best option and nothing else would suffice. Later in the speech
President Ford also brings forward the idea that, if the process of fair trial

Controversy of Abortions Essay example
Controversy of Abortions The topic of abortion is one of the most controversial and sensitive for the
society and myself. The debates and confrontations between two opposite groups of opinion are long
and sometimes even brutal. Both sides have strong supporting arguments: pro lifers base on moral
principals, which is life before birth, while pro choicers defend political and social rights, such as right
to privacy and right of choice. Neither side can be absolutely right or wrong; basically it is a matter of
personal opinion. Mine is that although the abortion is originally wrong, in many cases it must be a
legal option. Abortion is immoral. The statement a woman has a right to her body has two weak

However, people fail, and not only because of lack of education or responsibility, but also because of
simple contraceptives unavailability. At this stage, a woman face a perspective of bearing and having
an unplanned and consequently, unwanted child. Personal liberty is guaranteed by the Constitution.
Another important right of common law is to choose. This is enough to allow women to decide
whether or not to stop pregnancy. Without this interpretation the whole concept of personal liberty
would mean little to women. A man can easily break the relations when he finds out about a
pregnancy. He makes his choice, and no one doubts it. It is fair to say then that a woman should have
the same choice. Pregnancy and childbirth may determine if a woman ever gets an education, and as a
result, if she will be able to support herself and a child. Women may also find themselves pregnant in
the beginning or middle of the career. Or, couples choose abortion to start their families when they
feel ready and able to raise their children. Finally, in some situations, giving birth may result in a
medical complication, trauma, or even woman s death. At a global scale, abortions contribute to the
resolving of the overpopulation problem, potentially the worst problem of the coming generations.
Meanwhile, only in the US over a million of abortions are done every year. When these

Comparing Asexual Vs. Response To Environment
What is life? A question that sounds simple, but in reality is more complex and could be answered in
multiple ways. The focus of this will be comparing asexual versus sexual reproduction. Also, the
evolution and adaptation versus response to environment. And lastly, but not any less important is
homeostasis. Sexual versus asexual reproduction both have benefits and disadvantages. Asexual is the
development of a new organism forming from one parent. When an asexual organism has an offspring
their offspring has the same exact genetic material. If the parent were to have a disease the child

Veterans and mental health care
Take care of Veterans I believe that it is the best interest of veterans, whom have served the military in

Comparing Luke s Gospel And Matthew
The Gospel Writer
The story of Jesus heals a Roman officer s servant was written in he book of Luke and Matthew. The
only Gentile Christian writer of the New Testament was Luke. Gospel of Luke is the third of the four
Gospels of the New Testament, which tells the story of Jesus. Luke did not live during Jesus life, but
he investigated his life very carefully. Matthew s gospel was written just after Luke s in 90 A.D.
Matthew s Gospel was written in Greek because many parts of the Gospel are the same as Mark s,
which was also written in Greek. Both Matthew and Luke used Mark as a source. Matthew s Gospel
was most likely written in either Palestine or Syria. Matthew s Gospel was likely written for Christians
of Jewish descent. The message ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A centurion is a commander of a 100 man army and a servant is someone who performs duties for
others without choice. There is no mention of women in this story, as they are not treated with much
respect or as regular people in society unlike males. There is nothing mentioned in this story about
social groups such as the Pharisees as it is mostly based around the Jesus, the Centurion and his
servant. Jesus reveals his surprise as he describes the Servant as a very faithful man and that he has
never seen anyone like this before. The centurion initiates action by calling for Jewish Elders to find
Jesus and tell him that his servant needs his help. Through the story Jesus interacts with all the
characters, the Centurion, the servant and the Jewish Elders. The Servant interacts with everyone
except the Elders. While the Centurion is like Jesus, he interacts with everyone. Words that the writer
uses to get his message across are, they came to Jesus and begged him earnestly, This man really
deserves your help . This gives the view that Jesus is a very important man and is the one people look
to. The point of the text is to post a view and image of who Jesus is and how capable he is with

Human Nature In The Workplace Environment
Human Nature How has the workplace environment treated people? Has it been life changing to know
the day will be amazing or to feel as though working like a dog and getting nowhere? Every human
must go to work to make money and provide for their family. If not, they will not live a happy,
successful life. Their kids will be miserable as they may not have the luxury of clean clothes and food
to feed their infinite hunger. Millions of people have jobs, but may not feel valued or excited to go to
them. They may feel overworked and undervalued with no purpose, or may not have a strong support
system in their workplace. Human nature can both positively and negatively affect the workplace
environment. Supervisors are very important towards the workplace environment. Without them,
workers may slack off and not get the job done as efficiently as needed. To be a well liked supervisor,
they need to care and understand their employees. If a supervisor acts like a robot and just gives
orders, the employees will not respect them as much as if they cared and asked them how their day is
going and what they can do to help. This will give workers a feeling of comfort while at the job. The
supervisors also need to recognize the hard work that is completed by the employees. This will make
workers feel valued and purposeful. If people are not recognized for the hard work, it can cause
dissatisfaction within their career and make them feel like they are doing immense amounts of

Minoan Civilization Essay
The Minoan civilization was founded in 3000 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE, whereas the Mycenaean
civilization was founded in 1900 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE (Matthews, Noble, Platt, 2014). The
Minoan and Mycenaean cultures are found to be in present day Greeks as DNA has revealed to be
similar in early farmers (Reich, 2017).
The Minoans were the first literate civilization in Europe. One key aspect of the Minoan and
Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later was writing. Linear A, a syllabic system that
cannot be read by anyone except the Minoans, however, the Mycenaeans produced thousands of
Linear B tablets, that contained documents for the government, as well as the Iliad and Odyssey
(Matthews et al, 2014). Both Linear A and B are from a syllabic system, which are like the Greek
letters. Another key aspect of the Minoan and Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later
were metals, such as bronze, copper, tin, silver, and gold (Matthews et al, 2014). These metals were
used for military weapons such as swords, spears, daggers, and others, the chariots with the horse and

Symbolism In Smoke Signals
In the film Smoke Signals, Chris Eyre explores the lives of the people of the Coeur d Alene
Reservation through Thomas Builds the Fire s story. Thomas s story shows how Victor s relationship
with Arnold is rebuilt even after Arnold s death, and Victor comes to a place of understanding and
forgiveness with his father and the world around him. Throughout the film, the symbolic references of
the rez car and the cutting of the hair tie the story together and complement the main themes of life
change and renewal, exemplifying the way people work through life s hardships. Accordingly, at the
beginning of the film when Thomas s parents died in a fire, Arnold cut his hair. For an Indian, this is

At first glance, it takes a second to realize that the car is driving backwards and works only in reverse.
This represents how people feel when dealing with conflict and hardships. When in conflict, Victor
feels that he can never move forward. When he tries to move forward, he stays in one place or moved
back yet another step. Many people today can relate to this and experience this same feeling in their
struggles. This can also be said for the Indians living in the reservation. Ever since Columbus came
across the ocean, the Red man has been constantly pushed backwards, unable to get ahead. Likewise,
waterfalls and rivers represent the themes of renewal of the heart and washing away of hurt in Smoke
Signals. A stream is like the vital organ, the liver. A liver purifies the blood cleansing it of toxins and
making it pure. This is evident when Victor pours out Arnold s ashes from the bridge into the river.
Victor is able to pick up Arnold s ashes at the sheriff s office after he forgives Arnold and is able to

Other than that, coastal state can secure its territory wider than before. If the coastal state does not

Content Management Systems
Content management system is a procedural system that determines how work flows in any given
work environment. With reference to the web environment, content management system may be
limited to the creation, control, storage and deployment of individual contents on a given web page.
Content management system is differentiated from static pages through a number of ways. Ultimately,
whereas content management system should enable a manipulative approach towards the use of the
web pages in question, static pages give web users no manipulative option of altering the content of
the page. Rather, users act as passive beneficiaries who receive the information on the web pages just
as they have been stored. This means that given a number of users ... Show more content on

Finally, there should be a conscious effort to generate traffic through prudent ways of attracting people
to the website. It is advised that Users can create surveys and polls to find out what their visitors like

Recent survey conducted among content management system users have pointed to the cost of content
management system software as being too expensive. This means that there is a hindrance to getting
the very best of quality if one is not ready to spend more (The Information Architecture Institute,
2003). There is also the problem of migrating old content to a new and updated content. This means
that the actual process of managing content to benefit from the full usefulness of content management
system is a great obstacle to some users. Even more, the problem of protection of URL paths exists.
This creates insecurity and creates volatility on the path. Finally, content management system has a
number of limitations to the problems it can solve itself. This is like saying that research on the
functions of CMS is still not complete. Some of the problems that CMS is said not to be in a position
to solve include lack of editorial control, bad copywriting, bloated websites and single language

and good way, others use them distastefully. A website that can be said to use CMS distastefully may

18th Century Literature British novel is very new in comparison with genres such as poetry and
drama. Literary historians, critics and writers have based the birth and development of the British
novel on the 18th century in their works. Ian Watt, who did detailed research about the birth and
development of the British novel, propound that British novel shows all of the features as a prose in
the 18th century. It can be seen that novel, which is one of the most important and popular species of
the British writings, appears and improves in 18th century. One of the most important reasons for the
development of novel in this century is that middle class gets strong after the Industrial Revolution

The book is published in 1722. It was one of the earliest English. It is told in the first person narrative.
It isn t only an extremely amusing story, but also it gives a valuable and realist picture of 17th century

problems that Moll faces are firmly rooted in her society. Moll Flanders exposes individualism s roots

Maya Angelou s Graduation Day
Words are the building blocks of life. Words are the building blocks of language and communication.
Through words, one can encourage and/or discourage an entire audience. Words can also have the
power to create a sense of identity in humanity. If used poorly, words can establish superiority and
reinforce the subjugation of others. Words set up society and the general chain of command. It is the
power within the words that lends significance to the inspirational speeches and songs held so dearly
in the hearts of many. Due to their significant daily presence, words hold an immense power. In Maya
Angelou s Graduation Day, she carefully describes the intense negative power one man s words have
on an entire community. Angelou also illustrates a very emotional positive power that a boy s words
have in lifting the congregation s spirits up. Words are depicted as powerful because when used in
certain way, they are more than words; they are ideas. Words constantly manipulate emotions. They
weave a tapestry of complex and conflicting feelings throughout the course of daily conversation.
There are many contributing factors to the power of words including, but not limited to, body
language, tone of voice, and eye contact. In some cases, the effect of words can be disheartening, as
evidenced in Graduation Day. When Angelou describes Donleavy s speech in the story, she illustrates
the immediate effects his words have on the African American graduates. The proud graduating class

The, Dog And Cat And Coffee And Tea Great Gatsby And...
Introvert Dog and Cat. Coffee and Tea. Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye. Everyone knows there
are two types of people in the world. What are they? . This question is quite easy to answer and refers
to human behavioural quirks and nature, Introverts and Extroverts. Surrounding the two vague types
are many stereotypes, but this will be addressing and explaining what it truly means to be an Introvert.
Introverts are typically more complex characters as a whole compared to Extroverts, the dynamics
between the two already a major difference. When a person hears Introvert they think Alone , Hates
People , Pessimist and Boring , whilst thinking Extroverts, on the other hand, as Happy , Friendly ,
Optimists , and Fun two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But when Introverts give themselves permission to seek the solitude they crave, life becomes lighter
and better. Social situations are more bearable. Even small talk is easier to endure when they ve
fortified themselves with solitude. Introverts are known for being quiet, another universal quirk.
Introverts are written economists suffering in a world of verbal hodgepodge. Unfortunately, this has
lead to awkward confrontations like Are you shy? or Why are you so quiet? . Now it s time to debunk
the typical Introvert myths. The most common one is that being Introverted means you re shy, and
often use the two words interchangeably. Both introverts and shy people tend to avoid socializing at
times, but they do so for different reasons. Introverts often stay on the sidelines at social events
because socializing drains their energy, whilst shy people tend to avoid going to unnecessary social
events at all because of their fear of the unknown. Instead of worrying about being drained, they re
concerned about making a mess of themselves or being rejected / judged. The next most common is
that Introverts are socially awkward. People assume that because you are Introverted, you don t know
how to behave or act socially. Many introverts have superior social skills. They are confident,
assertive, and interesting to talk to. People don t realize this because they assume everyone with good
social skills is an extrovert.

Civility And Savagery In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness
Jazbeth Aguilar
AP Literature
December 8, 2017
Joseph Conrad, in his novel Heart of Darkness, uses the contrasting places of Europe and Africa in
order to represent opposed forces or ideas that are central to the entirety of the work. This journey
back in time, to a prehistoric earth illustrates Marlow s physical journey as well as relates to his
emotional and spiritual experience. Marlow characterizes events, ideas, and locations that he
encounters in terms of light or darkness. Marlow continuously equates light with knowledge and
civility and darkness with mystery and savagery. When he begins his narrative, Marlow evokes light
and, therefore, civility, with reality, believing it to be a tangible expression of man s natural state.
Similarly, Marlow uses darkness to depict savagery as a vice having escaped with nature. However, as
he proceeds deeper into the heart of the African jungle and begins to understand savagery as a
primitive form of civilization and, therefore, a reflection on his own reality, the metaphor shifts, until
the narrator raises his head at the end of the novel to discover that the Thames seemed to lead into the
heart of an immense darkness. The alteration of the light dark metaphor corresponds with Marlow s
awareness that the only reality, truth, or light about civilization is that it is, regardless of appearances,
is instead darkness.
Conrad uses light as a symbol of civilization. Just as darkness is defined as the absence of light, the

The law differentiates between the investor and the homeowner because the investor has taken on
large improvements based on the previous state of affairs where the homeowner has not. This means
that the investor gained site specific assurance where the homeowner did not, even if they seek out to
maintain the zoning classification not only on their property, but on the whole neighborhood. Hence,
several courts have specifically held that neighbors have no eternally vested rights in the perpetuation
of an existing zoning classification (Stahl, Kenneth A). In most cases this is why there are some
neighborhoods around the metropolitan area where there are signs that read My community is not for
sale as a way of protesting. In a way this seems unfair for the communities that must deal with new
development within the area without having a say which makes most neighbors somewhat aggravated
with the city s decision making and the benefits it gives investors in what they do with a property. On
the other hand people need to realize the essential aspect of new property development, this is
motivation for investors to form an important part of identity to help shape communities where the
property can serve as an important focus that gives meaning to residents within society. Therefore, it is
important to note that the Property and Relative Status is another factor that needs to be accounted for

of the Obama Care plan; Saul Alinsky was a Jewish American community organizer and writer who
was a radical from the left ideology. Mr. D Souza argued that Saul Alinsky had three strategies

the biggest records broken was the single season home run record, by Mark

the wrong gender. If C guess incorrectly, then A passes wins the game, or passes the Turing Test. Now,

Whole Foods Market ( Wfm ) Essay
Whole Foods Market (WFM) is a leading natural and organic food supermarket founded in Austin,
Texas by four local business people: John Mackey and Renee Lawson Hardy, owners of Safer Way
Natural Foods, and Craig Weller and Mark Skiles, owners of Clarksville Natural Grocery. WFM
opened its first store in 1980, they staffed their first store with only 19 workers, the store was an
immediate success partly because at the time there were less than half a dozen organic stores in the
entire country. The original WFM store opened on September in 1980 after Safer Way and Clarksville
Natural Foods partnered, the 10,500 square feet location was quite larger than the standard health food
store of the 80 s. The business had its first hiccup a year after they opened their doors, their entire
inventory was lost and most of the equipment was damaged by a historic flood that devastated the city
of Austin. The owners did not have insurance but they were able to quickly get back on their feet due
to the volunteered help of neighbors and customers as well as the help of creditors, vendors, and
investors who provided breathing room for them. The store reopened just after 28 days of the flood.
The expansion of the business happened quickly in the late 80 s. New locations appeared in Houston
and Dallas, then New Orleans. In 1989, WFM expanded to the West Coast and opened a store in Palo

  • 3. Mustang Convertible Is No Different His car stalls in the driveway while he gathers his necessities. It is a simple machine the one of dreams, an American car for an American kid. Ford has always made exceptional vehicles. The 2001 Mustang convertible is no different. Much like where its name is derived from, it seems to gallop through town stealing the attention of all who witness the glistening green tint. It is not a statement; it is not a cry for attention. Simply put: it is youth. Before embarking, the top is set down like the curtain of a play waiting to burst with art. Setting off with the sun behind his back, he reminds himself that he will grow old. Following aspirations requires something much more dependable. A man s first car will simply not do the trick. Another must step in and assume the reigns. Driving effortlessly into the twilight, he begins to wonder how this car will affect its next owner. That new handler will clench the door handle with an excitement that can not be measured. The transition into the drivers seat is so smooth and mesmerizing. He will become a new man. Gripping the coarse steering wheel, the feeling of euphoria carries him over to the shifter, the sense of power is running through his veins. Shifting into drive is a pleasure he respects each and every time. Driving down the main strip of town the hair on the back of his neck, irritated at first by the change in temperature, is now standing in applause of his decision to take the car for a midnight cruise. ... • 5. The Adelphia Scandal Essay The Adelphia Scandal In 1952, John Rigas purchased his own cable company. By the late 1990 s, he had turned it into the sixth largest cable company in the United States with 5.6 million customers. The business was always run as a family style business which led to fraudulent acts among family members and upper level executives. The family has been accused of stealing $3.1 billion from Adelphia and is now facing criminal charges. Adelphia was forced to file chapter 11 bankruptcy and as of April 24, 2004, the new board of directors made the decision to break up the company and sell it. In addition, the Rigas family harmed all the stakeholders. Stakeholders are those groups who have a specific stake in or claim on the firm. Specifically suppliers, customers, employees, stockholders, and local community, as well as management (Freeman 56). Adelphia Coliseum, now renamed The Coliseum, had to be renamed because of Adelphia s bankruptcy. Adelphia Coliseum was a stakeholder. This made everyone who utilized the stadium a stakeholder as well. The stakeholders were harmed because when Adelphia went bankrupt, the coliseum was not completely paid for. Therefore, they had to find alternative ways to pay for the coliseum. The Rigas family was the manager of Adelphia and had a fiduciary responsibility to the stakeholders. This scandal was immoral because Adelphia did not fulfill their responsibilities to their stakeholders when it was their duty. According to Milton Friedman, stockholders are the owners of the corporation, and hence corporate profits belong to the stockholders. Managers have a moral obligation to manage the firm in the interest of the stockholders (Friedman 45). Adelphia was managed in such a way that it was not in the stockholder s interest, in fact, it was only managed in the interest of the Rigas family. It is wrong to harm the stockholders because they have entrusted the company with their money with an expected return and maybe an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Does Nabokov Build Pnin A book with no plot, sentence structure that messes with the very rules of what it means to write, and contains sentences so long they can last five lines and become so confusing a reader may need to read them three of four times to grasp their meaning, does not sound like it would make a very good book. But, in this masterpiece of a character study, Nabokov is able to build Pnin throughout the book, despite there not being any goal he is working towards and having the scenes be strung together without a connection, simply throwing the reader headfirst into various snapshots of this character s life. Usually in a book the character receives some of his characterizations through his experiences and the change that happens naturally as they progress to some sort of climax, but Pnin does not have this shift because there is no climax, there is no personality shift or lesson learned from him that provides the reader with a resolved image of Pnin, instead we figure Pnin out through the small tidbits of life and actions we are given, along with the unconventional writing style of Nabokov. He is able to portray this awkward protagonist, even uses a narrator to break the third wall, making fun of Pnin, making the reader feel for him and connect to his situation because he comes across as a kind hearted man, who struggles with social situations and language because of his past and his culture of being and knowing Russian as his first language. It gives the citizens of the United States many of the rights and freedoms that we value today, and some of those are in jeopardy. Several states have added right to carry laws, while others have made it illegal to possess a concealed weapon (Smith 22). Most of the additional laws deal with the ownership and use of handguns and assault type weapons. There has been much debate and government lobbying dealing with the passing of gun laws. Many people think the government is focusing too much on the laws about guns, because 90 percent of all violent crime in the United States does not involve any type of firearm (Smith 17). Other countries around the world have also set examples by having gun laws. Guns are banned in the United Kingdom, and the crime rate has risen since that time (Smith 24). Also, within the United States, the crime rate in the states is lower if the states have right to carry laws (Smith 22). The other major problem with gun laws in the United States is that they are simply not being enforced (Smith 15). These facts and others involving the positive uses of guns are argued in court rooms and government offices around the country every day. As government officials study the facts and make laws, they continue to maintain the people s right to bear arms. This symbolic form of resistance is placed within Bauer s definition of resistance in that it entailed group demonstrations and protests actively opposed to the Nazi regime. Non violent resistance began to evolve as the Jews were transported to the concentration camps. Upon their initial arrival in the concentration camps, inmates attempted to aid each other in various ways, such as by giving those that were extremely malnourished extra food or attempting to lessen the workload on those that were weaker by taking their place; these acts, although not aimed directly against the SS, were simply keeping one another alive. These acts can be considered under Bauer s definition of resistance in that the groups motives in sustaining themselves as a whole was in direct opposition to the central idea of the SS to break down and destroy the Jewish population. These acts also helped lead to the later active, armed resistance in that they helped to keep inmates alive and maintain their strength, as well as providing them with a will to resist. Ultimately, whereas content management system should enable a manipulative approach towards the use of the web pages in question, static pages give web users no manipulative option of altering the content of the page. Through words, one can encourage and/or discourage an entire audience. Words can also have the power to create a sense of identity in humanity. If used poorly, words can establish superiority and reinforce the subjugation of others. Words set up society and the general chain of command. It is the power within the words that lends significance to the inspirational speeches and songs held so dearly in the hearts of many. Due to their significant daily presence, words hold an immense power. In Maya Angelou s Graduation Day, she carefully describes the intense negative power one man s words have on an entire community. Angelou also illustrates a very emotional positive power that a boy s words have in lifting the congregation s spirits up. Words are depicted as powerful because when used in certain way, they are more than words; they are ideas. Words constantly manipulate emotions. They weave a tapestry of complex and conflicting feelings throughout the course of daily conversation. There are many contributing factors to the power of words including, but not limited to, body language, tone of voice, and eye contact. • 34. Civility And Savagery In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness Jazbeth Aguilar AP Literature December 8, 2017 Joseph Conrad, in his novel Heart of Darkness, uses the contrasting places of Europe and Africa in order to represent opposed forces or ideas that are central to the entirety of the work. This journey back in time, to a prehistoric earth illustrates Marlow s physical journey as well as relates to his emotional and spiritual experience. Marlow characterizes events, ideas, and locations that he encounters in terms of light or darkness. Marlow continuously equates light with knowledge and civility and darkness with mystery and savagery. When he begins his narrative, Marlow evokes light and, therefore, civility, with reality, believing it to be a tangible expression of man s natural state. Similarly, Marlow uses darkness to depict savagery as a vice having escaped with nature. However, as he proceeds deeper into the heart of the African jungle and begins to understand savagery as a primitive form of civilization and, therefore, a reflection on his own reality, the metaphor shifts, until the narrator raises his head at the end of the novel to discover that the Thames seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness. The alteration of the light dark metaphor corresponds with Marlow s awareness that the only reality, truth, or light about civilization is that it is, regardless of appearances, is instead darkness. Conrad uses light as a symbol of civilization. Just as darkness is defined as the absence of light, the black ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hence, several courts have specifically held that neighbors have no eternally vested rights in the perpetuation of an existing zoning classification (Stahl, Kenneth A). In most cases this is why there are some neighborhoods around the metropolitan area where there are signs that read My community is not for sale as a way of protesting. This is a game that involves three players. One of each gender and one who plays the judge to determine the gender of players A and B. A s job is to try and trick C the judge into guessing the wrong gender. If C guess incorrectly, then A passes wins the game, or passes the Turing Test.
