This year, I came across a book titled Perseverance! The Story of Thomas Alva Edison (Murray,
1997). This book is a short timeline of Thomas Edison that highlights his many achievements

they would recognize the importance of having the courage to take a risk and the resilience to

payloads for application layer network information are urgently required. The most important
technology for fast payload inspection is an efficient multipattern matching algorithm, which
performs exact string matching between packets and a large set of predefined patterns. This paper
proposes a novel Enhanced Hierarchical Multipattern Matching Algorithm (EHMA) for packet
inspection. Based on the occurrence frequency of grams, a small set of the most frequent grams is
discovered and used in the EHMA. EHMA is a two tier and cluster wise matching algorithm, which
significantly reduces the amount of external memory accesses and the capacity of memory. Using a
skippable scan strategy, EHMA speeds up the scanning process. Furthermore, independent of
parallel and special functions, EHMA is very simple and therefore practical for both software and
hardware implementations. Simulation results reveal that EHMA significantly improves the
matching performance. The speed of EHMA is about 0.89 1,161 times faster than that of current
matching algorithms. Even under real life intense attack, EHMA still performs well.

Leading to the American Civil War, the Attack of Fort Sumter was an important event which was
the first battle to be fought. The situation taking place in Fort Sumter had become greatly tense as
conflicts rose. It began as South Carolina seceded from the Union and became nonexistent with the
forming of the Confederacy. The Southern Confederate leader, General P.T. Beauregard decided
that he would begin constructing his forces in the army around Fort Sumter located in Charleston
Harbor. The Union leader of the North, Major Anderson chose to move his men from Fort
Moultrie towards a much stronger fort. In doing so, he had asked the War Department for
reinforcements and planned to move his men to Fort Sumter near the harbor s entrance where the
South were already there guarding it with their forces. Unfortunately, as Anderson and his men
approached Fort Sumter, they were surrounded by the Confederate Army, and began to run out of
food and supplies. The Confederates realized their lack of goods and hoped that Major Anderson
and his army would leave South Carolina

explains the hard life of Arnold Spirit that is filled with many problems, death, and bullying.
Arnold Spirit was born with many medical problems and was picked on for most of his life. But,
this did not keep him from receiving a good education and doing something incredible with his
life. So, Arnold Spirit left the rez to attend Reardon, an all white school, where he was an outcast
at first, but made many new friends by the end of Freshman year. Arnold Spirit was known for
betraying his tribe and leaving the rez, but despite this he discovered many new strengths and
continued to carry on with his life towards success. Throughout the novel, The Absolutely True
Diary of a Part Time Indian, Sherman Alexie discusses about the issues or struggles that Arnold
Spirit faced which include bullying, stereotypes, and being different.
Arnold s biggest struggle at school is bullying. Arnold says, Yep those bastards were making fun
of my brain disorder. I fell down. One of the brothers picked me up, dusted me off, and kneed me
in the balls. The Andruss brothers laughed and walked away (Alexie 21). Arnold had been pushed
around and bullied for his medical problems his whole life, and one of the main reasons of
