The Game Of The Championship Game
17 23 Wildcats in the Championship Game. The game was at Lincoln field in Bethesda. The field used
to look brand new, but after its constant use, the grass began to fade, and dirt covered the majority of
the field. Today it was pouring rain. The ground was all mud and the players uniforms were covered in
dirt. 0:05, 0:04, 0:03, The whistle sounded. Timeout Red! The Official called. The Titans gathered in a
circle around their coach in the pouring rain. Thomas thought to himself as the coach called for a Hail
Mary, Down six on their 45, we have to score here. The whistle pierced the air as it sounded again,
cutting his thoughts short as he ran back on the field. Thomas best friend Luke was at quarterback.

Thomas dived towards the ball hoping to save the day, but the ball fell through has hands and bounced
on to the ground. The crowds cheer was cut off like a switch. Thomas lay on the ground, not wanting
to get up and look at his teammates, or look at the fans staring in shock. As Thomas lay on the turf
ground, soaked in rain, three photographers ran over and took pictures of him. August 25 Thomas was
watching football on the living room TV when he received a text from Luke. Can you come to the
park to play some football? Thomas thought to himself, Yeah I should go, no need to become a
recluse, you can hang out with Luke, he s your friend Yeah, be there in 15 minutes. Thomas texted.
Thomas wrote a note to his mom saying he would be out. He then walked towards the park. When he
got there, he saw 12 other guy tossing the ball around. Immediately, Thomas began to stall wondering
if this was a good idea, and began to turn around and go home, but Luke spotted him. DUDE! Over
here! Luke yelled. Be right there. Thomas said with a forced smile. When he reached the field many of
the guys greeted him with smiles, and Thomas began to calm down. They split into teams, and
Thomas was put with Luke. The game started and the first pass was to Thomas, but Luke had
overthrown it by a billion feet. My bad, Luke yelled. Annoyed, Thomas just hoped everyone else saw
it that way. The game went on, but no team was able

Real-Time Analysis
Solution to the Problem An innovative solution to combat this issue is to have real time monitoring for
athletes deemed high risk. This may be done by creating a synthetic shirt, which is currently worn by
many athletes during activity already, that has three EKG leads and a telemetry unit built in the
material. It would be imperative to have the leads, wires, and telemetry streamlined to reduce
bulkiness, especially since the device would be worn under pads in sports like football and hockey. A
second step would be to develop a smart phone application that can wirelessly monitor each player s
cardiac rhythm by a trained sideline medical professional. This application would have real time
analysis monitoring for a concerning rhythm that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Historically, when SCA does occur, the most successful outcomes happen when there is early
implementation of defibrillation attempts and advanced cardiac life support, including advanced
airways, cardiac stimulating medications, and post cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols (Piper
Stainsby, 2013). In other words, there is only a short window of opportunity to initiate life saving
measures before irreversible damage occurs to the cardiac muscle.
Additionally, having the telemedicine option provides immediate medical consultation in areas where
resources are limited. Often, best practice methods take time to be adopted due to skepticism of the
change, with rural areas traditionally lagging the most. The telemedicine provider can be trained based
on the latest research, essentially bringing the top experts to the scene of the event. The biggest
disadvantage would be the large monetary costs of the start up. Research and development of the EKG
shirt and of the smart phone application, distribution of the product, hiring telemedicine providers, and
implementing an effective marketing campaign are some of the obvious major costs. One could argue
that the relatively low estimated incidence rate would not justify the overall monetary cost.
Unfortunately, the costs would project past the

The New Jersey And Virginia
In May of 1787, individuals from each state assembled in Philadelphia, to transform the United States
government into an effective and powerful nation that conducted affairs in workable ways. The
delegates meeting at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787 were given consent to alter
and revise the Articles of Confederation. Except for those from New Jersey and Virginia, the
representatives intended to revise the Articles. The primary issue that they resolved was that of State
Representation. William Paterson and his associates offered a list of suggestions for revising the
Articles of Confederation in his New Jersey Plan. Paterson, a delegate from New Jersey, supported the
weak national government that the Articles made. Paterson declared imbalance of the rights of the
small states against the large states and wished to expand upon the Articles making a more
representative and all around well organized government. Under the Articles, Congress had no way to
avert war or to provide for national security against foreign intrusion. The government could not
resolve the fight between states, manage interstate exchange, collect taxes, or uphold laws. These
shortcomings of the confederation distressed political leaders. Accordingly, they requested an
assemblage in order to revise the Articles and restore the fledgling country. The Virginia Plan,
composed by James Madison and proposed by Edmund Randolph presented a government separated

Emily Dickinson s Poetry Final Essay

ENGL 5383 TC1
Dr. Worley
Final Exam
Essay Question A Through the process of my liberal arts education, I have had several teachers and
professors praise and crucify the biographical approach to literary analysis. Dickinson is perhaps more
mysterious than any other writer I have studied. Part of the mystery has been created by analysts
trying to decipher the meaning of poems written by a reclusive woman who published little of her
work while still alive. During her life, Dickinson was not famous. Her fame and much of her profile
has been created after her death. In an attempt to decipher her work, several literary scholars have
used a biographical approach to Emily Dickinson and her poetry. My knowledge about Dickinson s ...

The biographical approach is a popular approach for analyzing literature; however, Wolff claims that,
especially with Dickinson, it is overused. Wolff claims that while one cannot begin with only a

also missing something if he or she does not respond at all to the biographical element in Dickinson s

Mindfulness For Beginners By John Kabat Zinn
Mindfulness for Beginners
Summary
John Kabat Zinn, the author of Minfulness for Beginners, suggests that we often search for wholeness,
but it is already present within us. Mindfulness is the practice of accepting the deeper inner thoughts
that infiltrates our lives. Mindfulness for Beginners educates you on how to change your relationship
with the way you feel, think, work, love, and play. Strengthening your relationship will stimulate and
manifest who you really are.
The author, John Kabat Zinn, demonstrated the benefits of mindfulness in three different ways. The
author created the format of the book to be read and explored at random, a complete start to finish
read, or a lesson per day on mindfulness practice. Entering, Sustaining, Deepening, Ripening, and
Practicing are the sections in the book. Beginner level and advanced level meditators are able to find
valuable and applicable information in this book. The key attitudes and essential practices of
mindfulness explain why heartfulness is the same mindfulness, the significance of becoming attentive
to our bodies and senses, how our thoughts are released when affected by awareness, the causes of
distress, and how mindfulness heals.
Mindfulness for Beginners provides enlightening information, answers, and instruction to guide the
change into a more pure, spacious, dependable, and caring connection with ourselves and the world.

Companies and Advertising
Advertisements are made especially to grab the viewer s attention in any way possible. Many
companies use images to try and trigger their viewers emotions or facts to attempt to establish
credibility and get consumers to purchase their product or to grasp the message they are trying to get
across. Companies like Budweiser and Kleenex achieve their advertising goals by using ethos, pathos,
and logos.
The Lost Puppy Budweiser commercial did a very good job at reaching their viewers on an emotional
level. This advertisement started at a clydesdale farm, which is Budweiser s signature animal, with a
white lab puppy. Of course viewers are going to be captivated by the adorable lab pup. As the
commercials continues the pup get lost and goes on a journey back home. When the pup is almost
home a wolf approaches which concerns the viewer s because it seems like inevitable death for the
young lab. Until the clydesdale s appear and save the day and they all walk back home. What a sweet
nail biting commercial right? That is the whole point Budweiser has their audience so caught up in this
cute little puppy they do not even realize they are being sold an idea. Budweiser is trying to get their
viewers to look at their product as a family product that establishes unbreakable bonds. They use
pathos to plant this idea of a sweet little puppy with their brand so when their buyers see their product
at the store that is what they associate it with.

Smoking Case Solution Essay
Facts of the Case On March 7, 1980, a teacher at Piscataway High School in Middlesex County, New
Jersey found two girls smoking in the restroom of the high school. The defendant, a fourteen year old,
high school freshman, who is referred to as T.L.O. along with her companion were sent to the
Assistant Vice Principal Theodore Choplick s office for violating the school rule of smoking in the
restroom. During questioning T.L.O. s companion admitted to smoking in the restroom and had
violated the school s rule. However, T.L.O. denied smoking in the restroom by stating that she does
not smoke at all. Mr. Choplick asked T.L.O. to come into his private office and ordered to see the

entitled to do so, for her violating the rule of smoking in the school s restroom. The motion to suppress
was denied on March 23, 1981 and T.L.O was found to be a delinquent and sentenced to a year of
probation on January 8, 1982 by the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court of Middlesex County, N.J.
T.L.O. then takes the case to the Appellate Division where the court s decision agreed that there was
no violation of her fourth amendment rights but removed the delinquency adjudication and remanded
the case to the Juvenile Court decide if T.L.O. had knowingly and voluntarily waived her Fifth
Amendment right against self incrimination before confessing. (US Courts). The New Jersey Supreme
Court agreed with the decision of the lower courts that the Fourth Amendment also applies to searches
conducted by school officials and that the exclusionary rule should not be employed to prevent the use
in juvenile proceedings of evidence unlawfully seized by school officials. (Find Law for Legal

evidence found is prohibited in a criminal trial (Legal Information Institute). The New Jersey Supreme

Gender Inequality Of Equal Pay For Women
Introduction:
On January 29, 2016, The White House Press Office released a FACT SHEET on new steps to
advance equal pay for women. This FACT SHEET states that,
the median wage of a woman working full time all year in the United States is about $39,600 only 79
percent of a man s median earnings of $50,400 (The White House, 2016).
However, many scholars and economists disagree that a gender wage gap exists. In addition,
conservative political experts and bloggers promote the notion that gender based wage gap is an idea
propagated by feminists, women empowering organizations, and progressives. However, almost all the
working women in the United States, and organizations such as Institute for Women s Policy Research
(IRWP), and American Association of University Women (AAAU), strongly believe in the existence
of the gender wage gap.
This sociological issue of equal pay for women is extremely relevant in today s environment where
women perform equal work as men in many occupations. Furthermore, with almost 50% of the work
force being women, women contributing equally to the family income, and a large number of women
being the single parents supporting children, lack of equal pay over time could increase the poverty
rates for women (White House, 2016). In addition, IWPR s 2015 report on the status of American
women, states that if women receive equal pay for the same work, the poverty rate among women will
see a reduction from 8.2% to 4%, an almost 50% reduction (Hess et

Ipv6 Transition
Abstract
The rapid diffusion of the Internet and development of high speed broadband networks have posed the
problem of inadequate IPv4 address space on the Internet. Moreover, this lack of address space has
been made worse by the progress made towards the ubiquitous network society, in which various
types of information equipment, mobile computers and electrical appliances communicate on the
internet. IPv6 was developed as a solution to this problem. In this paper I discussed various features
provided by IPv6 over IPv4 in terms of improved security, lower administration cost, QoS options,
mobility, auto configuration, and peer to peer capability etc. The transition mechanisms in use today
are discussed in details. I have conducted a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important to understand that no matter what technology dominate the market today; tomorrow it
will have to be upgraded to fulfil the demand. When IPv4 was developed it was the latest protocol to
meet the demand of the time. Since the time has changes so has the demand, the need for change was
inevitable. IPv6 introduced the features like increased address space allocation, stateless address
configuration etc which have taken the limit of internet protocol to the edge. The reason behind
choosing the topic of the evolution of internet protocol is to gain detailed knowledge on IP and its
purpose and also discuss the issues related to the transition of IPv4 to IPv6. Besides the need for the
transition and the transition mechanisms will be discussed.
3 Scope of the Research
To conduct the research I will survey on three leading ISPs from Bangladesh. It would have been
much more informative if an interview could have been carried out in person. But since it couldn t be
done I will prepare a questionnaire to conduct a survey which will find out the current structure of the
organisations and how the transition can be done.

The internet has revolutionized the computer and the communications like nothing else. It is the
capability of broadcasting world wide, a mechanism for sending information in different formats and

Summary Of Alice Walker s Two Ways To Belong In America
Home is Where The Heart Is Is it better to settle with what you already have and know or branch out
and strive for comfort elsewhere? This is the ongoing debate between sisters, Dee (Wangero) and
Maggie in Alice Walker s Everyday Use and sisters Bharati and Mira in Bharati Mukherjee s Two
Ways to Belong in America . In Everyday Use Maggie is a soft spoken homebody who has never
found interest in straying from her mother while Dee on the other hand has moved on in life and uses
her past as an image to prove how far she has made it in life, she even changed her birth name to cut
all ties with her past. In Two Ways to Belong in America Bharati and Mira are Indian immigrants who
both came to America with intentions of keeping their Indian heritage, but over time Bharati faded
from her culture while Mira kept true. Although Maggie and Mira decided to stick to their roots, Dee
and Bharati chose to immerse themselves in a new culture. Maggie in Everyday Use and Mira in Two
Ways to Belong in America both chose to never stray from their traditions. This is displayed through
Maggie because she lives at home with her mother and will marry a small town boy with a similar
lifestyle to hers, She will marry John Thomas (who has mossy teeth in an earnest face) (Walker para.
13). The same goes for Mira because she chose to marry an Indian man in America, Mira married an
Indian student in 1962 (Mukherjee para. 4) and she also never fully became an American citizen, I am

The Large Regulatory Subunit
The large regulatory subunit PriL
The large subunit (PriL) of the primase is a regulatory, non catalytic subunit, where its exact role is
still undefined. Nonetheless, PriL, and in particular PriL C terminal domain (PriL CTD), has been
shown to have an essential role at the initiation stage of primer synthesis, but not during the extension
step. In fact, it is an essential gene in yeast. It has also been inferred that PriL CTD, is involved in the
primase counting mechanism (p58 .counting..). The PriL CTD has an iron sulfur cluster which seems
to play a structural role in conserving the correct three dimentional structure of the CTD (Agarkar et
al. 2011 ; Sauguet et al. 2010 ; Vaithiyalingam et al. 2010 ). To date, the structure of PriL has not been
solved in its integrity. Instead, substructures of a C terminally truncated version of PriL (PriL ΔCTD)
have been solved in archaea and human (....). In addition, the structure of PriL CTD has been reported
for both yeast and human. In fact, two crystal structures were reported for the human p58C (C
terminal domain of the human large subunit) (.....).
In both archaeal and eukaryotic primases, PriL CTD exhibits a similar structure consisting of two
main domains; PriLα and PriL SBD. PriLα is a larger globular helical domain, while PriL SBD is a
smaller domain with a mix of both α and ÎČ secondary structures. PriL SBD represents the surface
binding domain that is in direct contact with PriS and constitute the dimerization interface. This

As the member of manager consultants, for this point, today we need to think out at least two options
to advise her to improve the situation. Am I understood? And think a while... Okay, let s make a start.
Who want to speak first?

Kelly: I think ,Such investment, to some extent, costs too much. And it will also undergo financial
risks. Besides, the exclusive agreement is a single way, it may get press from the major retailer. In the
mean time, not all brand development consultants can make brand image improved.
Lily: yes, it s true. Every coin has two sides.it can t be denied that option 1 will offer a chance to

structure. Employing brand development consultants may also accelerate its brand revolution,
improving its former brand or even building a new better one.

Application Of A Raspberry Pi
Everyday all over the world thousands of dollars are wasted by people forgetting or not knowing that
they have left their lights on. As a person who enjoys fixing problems I set out to design a product to
fix this problem. Before I explain the things, I have researched I should probably explain my product
itself. My product consists of a Raspberry Pi, light sensor, another circuit, and multiple components
for visual purposes and for voltage reading. As most of the parts for this have already been made and
are compatible with the Raspberry Pi, most of my product consist of costume made coding.
The first thing I researched was the Raspberry Pi as it is the main component of this product. A
Raspberry Pi is basically a single board computer with all the same components as a normal computer,
but just much smaller. The main coding language that is used on a Raspberry Pi is Python (that is what
language we decided to go with). Finding out that a Raspberry Pi is just a tiny computer I decided the
next step would be to research the parts of a computer to fully understand how the Raspberry Pi would
be handling the data sent to it by the modules. The first main part of a computer is the CPU (Central
Processing Unit). The Central Processing Unit takes the data, numbers, and information given to the
computer and processes it in to data that the other parts of the computer can use. The easiest way to
describe it is as the brains of the computer as it basically does the same thing as our

Black Colleges And Universities ( Hbcus ) Essay
Introduction
Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the
United States that were established before 1964. As amended by The Higher Education Act of 1965, a
part B institution refers to any Historically Black college or university that was established prior to
1964, whose principal mission was, and is, the education of Black Americans, and that is accredited
by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or association determined by the Secretary to be a
reliable authority as to the quality of training offered or is, according to such an agency or association,
making reasonable progress toward accreditation. Though in 1837 Cheyne University of Pennsylvania
and 1854 Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) had been established for Black education, Black Colleges
and Universities became recognized by the United States Government in the 1890 s.
The second Morrill Land Grant Act specified that states using federal higher education funds must
provide an education to Black students, either by opening the doors of their public universities to those
of African descent, or by establishing schools specifically to serve them. Integration for white public
and private institutions was completely out of the question due to the substantial racial divide within
the United States so, many Southern states created a completely separate set of institutions serving
Blacks. Thus were born many public and private Black colleges. Of the 100+ HBCU s

Review Of The Game Of Thrones And The Fifth Child
Mother s Love
Saiaf
Mother s love changes complexly with children and circumstances. I would like to evaluate how
mother s love is shown in the book, Game of Thrones and The Fifth Child. Game of Thrones uses
three mothers and how they raise their child. Of great notice is the fact that the mothers live in
different conditions with different challenges and different kinds of children. The women too, have
different personalities and backgrounds. We realize from the book of the Game of Thrones, and the
book of The Fifth Child that women react differently regarding loving their children. The changes
might be because of the nature of their children, their personal challenges, or the circumstances that
they are living in. We will study the sister of Caitlyn whose husband was killed under unclear
circumstances. Finally, we will also study the motherhood of Harriet as she takes care of her five
children with her husband. This essay is about how a mother s love changes in different
circumstances. Caitlyn shows different characteristics while taking care of her three children. Mother s
love is supposed to be unconditional. Irrespective of any situation, mothers should love their children,
equally and visibly. Caitlyn, however, shows that one cannot love all their children equally. She
particularly shows some of the aspects that might have caused the impartial treatment of her children.
Her love for Arya is not as strong as her love for the other children of Eddard. She

The Stereotypes Of `` Stuff Asian People Like `` And The...
Asians are typically loud especially when we are on the phone because we do not take insights of our
surroundings. This is one of the biggest stereotypes about Asians out there. According to a 2008 online
article called Stuff Asian People Like written by Peter; states that Asians tend to be loud due to
adversity. We were compared to the Anglo Saxon legend of Beowulf. Asians are actually peaceful
looking creatures who are soon to be evolved into creatures of such legends like Beowulf . According
to Peter, we are compared to Beowulf because when Asians tend to talk loudly, it is as if we are
screaming at the top of our lungs while trying to kill someone as Beowulf; a barbaric warrior would
do. Peter also states that Asians tend to speak out loud due to the fact that we are stressed out in life.
Peter is really basing this stereotype off of some kung fu movie, because we all know it is true that
when someone like Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee starts fighting, they tend to pull out some loud grunts.
Also the article states that we speak loudly because we are not able to express our opinions due to
communism laying a barrier on our world and once we hit America, we are loud due to that barrier
being lifted. What a big load of lies. I say it is a lie because I used to visit my country of Vietnam back
then, and Vietnam is a huge communist country, yet I have seen many people especially other ethnic
Asians visiting the country talking extremely loud. Voicing opinions are one thing,

The Jane Austen
Jane Austen was born in Hampshire, England on December 16, 1775. Her father was Reverend
George Austen and her mother was Cassandra Leigh Austen. Jane was the youngest daughter of a
large, close family. She had six brothers and one sister. She was especially close to her sister and
brother, Cassandra and Henry. When Jane was eight, she and her sister were sent to Oxford and then
Southampton. Because of an outbreak of typhus, a bacterial disease spread by lice or fleas, Jane nearly
died. After this, both girls returned home. Jane and her sister then attended the Reading Ladies
Boarding School, where they studied spelling, French, dancing, music and needlework. Jane continued
to expand her knowledge after she left school. Under the supervision of her father, Jane learned to
become the great author she is known as. In her teen years Jane started writing. She wrote poems,
stories, and comical pieces for her family s entertainment. She consolidated several of these pieces of
work into notebooks. As she continued to practice within her writing, Jane became proficient at
mocking the over romantic and Gothic styles of the eighteenth century novels. In some of her earlier
publishing, you can find humorous novels with deliberately misspelled titles, Love and Freindship ; an
ironic History of England ; and the book, Lady Susan. In 1795Jane met Tom Lefroy, the nephew of
their neighbors. According to her letters to Cassandra, Jane spent an immense amount of time with

A Picture Can Tell Us
A picture can tell us a thousand words and ways to show us our history.
Photographers have been moving many of american s deeply and helped support the new deal
legislation from sharecroppers, farmers and migrant workers. Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, Carl
Mydans, Marion Post Wolcott, Ben Shahn, Russell Lee, Arthur Rothstein, and John Vachon, were all
photographers, during The Great Depression, who wanted to show the government what the world had
become. Every single person that is named in this background has also suffered of the depressing
same as the family s in the photo s while the stock market crashed(the great depression ) have lost
many things they have loved. The FSA photographers and rural poverty show us the determination of
the black and white s, poor to poorest, and what they have lost, most of these families never gave up
and tried their hardest to keep what they made and made the best out of it, no matter if the only thing
they had is a blanket above their head.
Life in the 1930 s were rough, many people lived in shacks made out of materials they could find.
Having food was a struggle as well. Many people lived off of potatoes and cabbage from what they
could grow it , since money was a rare though to have back in 1930 s. Like the mexican migrant

people know truly where these languages came from. It all began with Vulgar Latin, a branch of
Classical Latin, which was spread throughout the Roman Empire by the conquest of soldiers and the
movement of colonists ( Romance Languages ). The most commonly accepted reasoning for these
languages existence is that different regions of the Roman Empire slowly created their own form of
dialect of Classical Latin, which eventually became the five Romance languages (Ledgeway).
Although Vulgar Latin may be dead, it will be spoken everyday within the five Romance languages as
different versions of the original classical form (Wright). The commonalities through ... Show more

As Latin expanded throughout Europe it wasn t ever a solidified language it was constantly changing
and evolving as it spread from place to place. Portuguese came from Latin that had already been
through Gaul, modern day France, which would eventually be the Latin that would transform into
French and Romanian. Consequently Portuguese is actually a derivative of Latin that had already been
changed and adapted to another regions needs. Although it may have come from this already
transformed version of Latin it doesn t take away from the fact that it still came from a true version of
Latin (Wright). Portuguese contains some of the most basic pieces of Latin such as the use of
masculine, feminine, and neuter nouns and verbs. Portuguese, along with the other Romance
Languages, use a system of different grammatical meanings and relationships to create sentences
where the subject and verb agree not only with tense but gender, mood, person, and number (

Essay about Starbucks
STARBUCKS CASE ANALYSIS QUESTIONS Please answer all the following questions as they
relate to the case. Please utilize as much outside resources as you deem necessary to reinforce your
answers especially the last question. Remember that this case is over 10 years old and Starbucks has
changed since then. 1. In the early 1980 s, how did Howard Schultz view the possibilities for the
fledgling specialty coffee market? What were the most important factors in shaping his perspective
and its success? 2. By 1987, Schultz bought Starbucks from its original founders. It has grown from
six stores to over 3300 locations. What were the critical drivers of Starbucks success? 3. Why did
Schultz think he successfully import the Italian coffee bar ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ambiances at each bar were different and the energy was electrifying. It was in this setting that he
realized that creating an atmosphere and bonding with customers around a cup of coffee was
monumental in improving his business. Coffee would be only the automobile for a place where people
want to stay for a while, a place like home, and office. These variables will become the differentiating
factor for Starbucks. Howard Schultz viewed the possibilities for the specialty coffee market as one
that will not be based on advertising and promotion, but rather one that is based on personal
experiences, their reaction to coffee, both the people who make and serve it , and the stores
atmosphere as well as a sense of community. The larger known coffee businesses were beginning to
show signs of stagnation in the 1970 s and 1980 s. Unlike Proctor Gamble other large manufacturers,
specialty coffee producers were small independent distributors. According to the Harvard Business
School report on Howard Schultz; During the early 1980 s the average American consumed less than
two cups of coffee per day, with almost one of every two men , women and children over the age of 10
does not drink coffee at all. The large coffee business started to compete for market share in a
shrinking market. The smaller independent specialty coffee producers were selling only high quality
Arabica beans. Arabica beans have less caffeine, less

Critically analyse the key factors involved in translating policy into practice to achieve successful
delivery of health care?
To deliver better care and outcomes, there is a need for evidence based policy to be implemented
successfully (1). Policy change can achieve impacts and sustainability beyond what is possible
through standalone services or projects (2). Designing a policy and then translating it into practice is a
messy business and requiring understanding of the policy context, design processes, the underlying
values and beliefs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here policy takes an incremental approach where decision makers take current practice as given, and
make small incremental adjustments in that behaviour, resulting in gradual policy change (5).
In the real world, policy making is more complex. In reaction to rational approaches the garbage can
model of decision was developed to remove any assumption of rationality. This asserts that rational
approaches suggest a greater level of intention, comprehension of problems, and predictability of
relations among actors than found in reality (3). Additional elements work against rational policy
making including the cognitive limitation of decision maker to consider all possible options and
foresee all consequences.
Ingram argued that policy problems are not neutral but subjectively identified through a political
exercise based on values, interpretation and the subjectivity of policy makers (6). Pluralist elitist
models recognise the distribution of power and how this affects decision making, proposing that the
power to inïŹ‚uence policy is concentrated in the hands of a few (2). The underlying suggestion of these
theories is that policy is not scientifically or rationally constructed, with the conclusion that
implementation attempts are constrained from the start.
Punctuated equilibrium theory outlines that when conditions are right, change

Self-Doubt In Medical Schools
The power of self doubt is a venomous infection that can cripple dreams and inhibit talent. Medical
school presents a series of challenges that seek to engage its pupils to excel in various avenues. My
second year of medical school was a personal struggle. Passion is best tested in the face of adversity. I
questioned my ability to excel in the field I admire and love, especially amongst those who share my
drive and equal admiration for the sciences. Our early twenties are ensconced with self doubt and fear;
fear of what the future may entail and doubts of our ability to meet our dreams. Faced with these
thoughts I questioned my potential, what if my best wasn t enough. Absent of an established

Investigating The Mechanism Of Decomposition, Reaction...
Abstract:
Thermal analysis data is used to determine the mechanism of decomposition, reaction energetics, and
gas evolution of a material, specifically calcium silicate, also called limestone. Based on the basic
rules of thermodynamics, a hypothesis can be formed that, as limestone is heated, it decomposes into
calcium oxide and carbon dioxide due to heat transfer and the creation of impurities. The addition of
silicon oxide, or quartz, can also cause limestone to decompose in the same manner. This was tested
using experiments including Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Mass Spectrometry (MS), and
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Figures 1 3 confirm this hypothesis through extensive
logging of data. Future work can include data ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike pressure, temperature is a simple variable to alter. This is why it is preferred when analyzing
controlled reaction rates, such as heat transfer. An increase in temperature causes certain materials,
commonly salts, to decompose, controlling the free energy that is released. Salts, which are unstable at
high temperatures, are ideal subjects for thermal analysis. For example, when CaCO3 decomposes
into CaO and CO2, the nucleation of CaO causes a decrease in temperature [that] represents the
endothermic heat absorbed by the reaction. The decomposition of a material is affected by various
factors, such as the pressure exerted on the material while it is heated, the amount of time the material
is exposed to heat, and the rate of heat transfer. (Kingery).
On a macroscopic level, as limestone is heated, it will darken in color as it separates into calcium
oxide and carbon dioxide. As it decomposes, calcium oxide will be formed into a solid and carbon
dioxide will be released as a gas. The calcined powder will retain its darker color, but would otherwise
look similar to the initial limestone. Decomposition is a reaction to the impurities caused by the
heating of the material. (Thermogravimetric).
Experimental Methods:
After collecting samples and placing the calcium silicate, limestone, into each machine for the
duration of time needed to collect 230 data points, testing is completed. While in the

Round Trip Copper Reactions Lab
The purpose of this lab was to evaluate our skills of decanting a supernatant liquid without losing the
solid and successful completion of a series of reactions. This was done through five chemical reactions
involving copper. In this lab, elemental copper was put through five different chemical reactions in
order to convert it into different compounds. By the end of the fifth reaction, the copper was back to
its elemental state. In the first reaction, 0.95 g of pure copper was reacted with 4.0 mL of concentrated
nitric acid under the fume hood. The solution was swirled until all of the copper had dissolved. The
balanced equation for this reaction is as follows:
Cu (s) + ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The black precipitate was allowed to settle and then the supernatant, the clear liquid that lies above a
precipitate, was decanted, or poured carefully off. Then, 200 mL of hot distilled water was added and
the precipitate was allowed to settle to repeat the decanting process again. In the fourth reaction, 15
mL of 6.0 M sulfuric acid was added to the copper (II) oxide while stirring. The balanced equation for
this reaction is as follows:
CuO (s) + H2SO4 (aq) Ă  CuSO4 (aq) + H2O (l) + SO2 (g)
When the sulfuric acid was added to copper (II) oxide, the solution turned blue. This was due to the
formation of aqueous copper (II) sulfate, which produced the copper ions to change the color of the
solution. In the fifth reaction, 2.29 g of zinc was added to the copper (II) sulfate solution under the
fume hood. The balanced equation for this reaction is written as followed:
Zn (s) + CuSO4 (aq) Ă  ZnSO4 (aq) + Cu (s)
When the zinc was added to the copper (II) sulfate solution, the solution started to bubble. As the
solution was stirred, it turned a cloudy blue. Small flecks of a brown solid were visible. As the
solution became colorless, the brown solid settled to the bottom of the beaker. The solid formed was
copper in its elemental state. The color faded from the solution as the copper ions slowly formed into
solid copper. The copper was poured into a funnel with filter paper and washed three times with 25

The Effects Of Radioactive Decay On The World
Thorium has long been the subject of scientific research ever since its discovery, and now it appears
that this obscure element may be the energy source which could fuel humanity for generations to
come. While thorium has a complicated history, the element remains very important to humanity for
many reasons. Discovered about the same time as uranium in the 19th century, thorium has been well
known to the scientific community for many years (World Nuclear Association). In fact, famous
scientists like Marie Curie and Ernest Rutherford worked with the element in several experiments
when radioactive decay was first being discovered. Since that time, however, thorium has largely been
thrown by the wayside for use in practical applications such as energy production in favor of
neighboring elements uranium and plutonium. Things are starting to turn around for thorium though,
as people are beginning to realize that thorium power offers cleaner, more powerful, and safer energy
than anything humanity has ever known before, and they are beginning to take action to make thorium
more widely known as an important prospective energy source. Fig. 1. Thorium Element. Digital

Mexico is located in Northern America, bordered by the United States, Belize and
Guatemala. The country s population is at currently 112.3 million with a total land area
of 1,972,550 km. The majority of this population s language is Spanish, making this
country the largest Spanish speaking population in the world. A significant portion of the
country of Mexico is Catholic, although there are a variety of other prevalent religions.
The Mexican community views their religion and family life as a vital piece of their
cultural structure and place a high value on both the social community and family
responsibility. The overall culture in Mexico is vibrant and energetic, with a heavy
emphasis on its many holidays and traditions. The food includes staples of corn and
wheat tortillas, beans, rice, tomatoes chili peppers, and chorizo. Fuel and mining
account for a large piece of the GDP in Mexico, and manufacturing has become a
growing industry for the country as well. In this case we will discuss globalization effects
and how culture has affected some of the HR policies in Mexican society today.
Globalization
Studies have shown that people living in areas with the least exposure to globalization
are lagging as compared to regions that have felt globalization s impact full force. These
high exposure states, the Northern states, experience greater levels of globalization
due to the fact that their export oriented industries are a

Pros and Cons of Government Intervention Essay
Objective
This specific report addresses the pros and cons of how much government intervention in the
marketplace is necessary and appropriate. This report will cover four authors, Cunningham, Green,
Friedman and Pertschuk. The authors have written extensively on consumerism and the protection
thereof. This author s goal is to break down some of the theories, which authors seem akin in their
beliefs and which authors views are bipolar opposites. Green states there be only should be two types
of government regulations 1) economic regulations and 2) health and safety regulations. He states the
only important pieces of consumer legislation to emerge from Congress in the past three years were

Friedman views the consumer as strong and is totally interested in efficiency. He does note however
the FDA had done a good job of keeping us from harmful medication. The Cunningham s objective of
their research was to determine how many individuals in various sectors of society know about the
consumer protection laws and their rights as consumers. These were included, but not limited to false
advertising, false retail advertising, credit regulations, credit cards, labeling, truth in lending and
deceptive retail practices. These authors view the consumer relatively weak due to a lack of
knowledge. They also feel the low incomes are no match for the sophisticated marketer. There these
authors are interested in equity. The most important implication derives from the lack of information
demonstrated by all income segments of the consumer sample. This situation suggests that what is
needed is not more and tougher laws, but rather more information made available to ore individuals
concerning their rights as consumers. The present research has demonstrated that one other variable is
important: with the exception of a few areas of the law, both consumers and attorneys know very little
about their rights as consumers. This was particularly true in areas such as door door selling, false or
deceptive advertising, false or deceptive retail practices. More and better information concerning
consumers rights must be provided to individuals of all

Urban Systems And The Urban Architecture
In this book Barnow specifically looks at the urban systems and the urban architecture in the antique
Greek world and the Roman Empire. The line of thought and the method to understand the two is
rather subjective. Barnow emphasizes that to understand a society the individual, other stakeholders
and the state, while it is necessary to read into its culture and tradition, it is first important to identify
the simple spatial order of the community. This would then lead to evidence of a surprisingly
organized association and the fact that there will be only a limited number of possible space/form
combinations that could fulfill the requirements of a given social order. To understand the varied
typologies of settlements, it is best to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While attempting to trace back a historical situation, it is important to realize that the aim of
identifying type characteristics is to understand the societal formation, while the form characteristics
help us to understand the national/ regional or any other specific character of the study area. Through
the course of this book, Barnow presents to the reader a number of archaeological findings in the form
of ground plans. Beginning with the Archaic Era, Barnow emphasizes the importance of this period in
understanding the Greek urban system. The formation of city states and the colonization period that
began towards the 8th century provide the best evidence of that era. In all the case studies, is it
Hellenistic period or the Classical Period, the importance of landscape in the birth and evolution of
new urban typologies is crucial to understand the city fabric. From the evidence provided based on
urban architecture principles and archaeological findings, a basis of the social and political systems at
that time maybe well understood. Through the extensive process of documentation across Ancient
Greece and Rome Barnow establishes a theoretical framework of the utilization of landscape by
societies through the ages and the ways in which these have made cultural statements (one can

  • 2. The Game Of The Championship Game 17 23 Wildcats in the Championship Game. The game was at Lincoln field in Bethesda. The field used to look brand new, but after its constant use, the grass began to fade, and dirt covered the majority of the field. Today it was pouring rain. The ground was all mud and the players uniforms were covered in dirt. 0:05, 0:04, 0:03, The whistle sounded. Timeout Red! The Official called. The Titans gathered in a circle around their coach in the pouring rain. Thomas thought to himself as the coach called for a Hail Mary, Down six on their 45, we have to score here. The whistle pierced the air as it sounded again, cutting his thoughts short as he ran back on the field. Thomas best friend Luke was at quarterback. Luke was tall, with long ... The crowds cheer was cut off like a switch. Thomas lay on the ground, not wanting to get up and look at his teammates, or look at the fans staring in shock. As Thomas lay on the turf ground, soaked in rain, three photographers ran over and took pictures of him. August 25 Thomas was watching football on the living room TV when he received a text from Luke. Can you come to the park to play some football? Thomas thought to himself, Yeah I should go, no need to become a recluse, you can hang out with Luke, he s your friend Yeah, be there in 15 minutes. Thomas texted. Thomas wrote a note to his mom saying he would be out. He then walked towards the park. When he got there, he saw 12 other guy tossing the ball around. Immediately, Thomas began to stall wondering if this was a good idea, and began to turn around and go home, but Luke spotted him. DUDE! Over here! Luke yelled. Be right there. Thomas said with a forced smile. When he reached the field many of the guys greeted him with smiles, and Thomas began to calm down. They split into teams, and Thomas was put with Luke. • 3. Real-Time Analysis Solution to the Problem An innovative solution to combat this issue is to have real time monitoring for athletes deemed high risk. This may be done by creating a synthetic shirt, which is currently worn by many athletes during activity already, that has three EKG leads and a telemetry unit built in the material. It would be imperative to have the leads, wires, and telemetry streamlined to reduce bulkiness, especially since the device would be worn under pads in sports like football and hockey. A second step would be to develop a smart phone application that can wirelessly monitor each player s cardiac rhythm by a trained sideline medical professional. This application would have real time analysis monitoring for a concerning rhythm that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Historically, when SCA does occur, the most successful outcomes happen when there is early implementation of defibrillation attempts and advanced cardiac life support, including advanced airways, cardiac stimulating medications, and post cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols (Piper Stainsby, 2013). In other words, there is only a short window of opportunity to initiate life saving measures before irreversible damage occurs to the cardiac muscle. Additionally, having the telemedicine option provides immediate medical consultation in areas where resources are limited. Often, best practice methods take time to be adopted due to skepticism of the change, with rural areas traditionally lagging the most. The telemedicine provider can be trained based on the latest research, essentially bringing the top experts to the scene of the event. The biggest disadvantage would be the large monetary costs of the start up. Research and development of the EKG shirt and of the smart phone application, distribution of the product, hiring telemedicine providers, and implementing an effective marketing campaign are some of the obvious major costs. One could argue that the relatively low estimated incidence rate would not justify the overall monetary cost. Unfortunately, the costs would project past the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The New Jersey And Virginia In May of 1787, individuals from each state assembled in Philadelphia, to transform the United States government into an effective and powerful nation that conducted affairs in workable ways. The delegates meeting at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787 were given consent to alter and revise the Articles of Confederation. Except for those from New Jersey and Virginia, the representatives intended to revise the Articles. The primary issue that they resolved was that of State Representation. William Paterson and his associates offered a list of suggestions for revising the Articles of Confederation in his New Jersey Plan. Paterson, a delegate from New Jersey, supported the weak national government that the Articles made. Paterson declared imbalance of the rights of the small states against the large states and wished to expand upon the Articles making a more representative and all around well organized government. Under the Articles, Congress had no way to avert war or to provide for national security against foreign intrusion. The government could not resolve the fight between states, manage interstate exchange, collect taxes, or uphold laws. These shortcomings of the confederation distressed political leaders. Accordingly, they requested an assemblage in order to revise the Articles and restore the fledgling country. The Virginia Plan, composed by James Madison and proposed by Edmund Randolph presented a government separated into three branches of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Emily Dickinson s Poetry Final Essay Crystal Hall 2 July 2015 ENGL 5383 TC1 Dr. Worley Final Exam Essay Question A Through the process of my liberal arts education, I have had several teachers and professors praise and crucify the biographical approach to literary analysis. Dickinson is perhaps more mysterious than any other writer I have studied. Part of the mystery has been created by analysts trying to decipher the meaning of poems written by a reclusive woman who published little of her work while still alive. During her life, Dickinson was not famous. Her fame and much of her profile has been created after her death. In an attempt to decipher her work, several literary scholars have used a biographical approach to Emily Dickinson and her poetry. My knowledge about Dickinson s ... Mindfulness For Beginners By John Kabat Zinn Mindfulness for Beginners Summary John Kabat Zinn, the author of Minfulness for Beginners, suggests that we often search for wholeness, but it is already present within us. Mindfulness for Beginners educates you on how to change your relationship with the way you feel, think, work, love, and play. Strengthening your relationship will stimulate and manifest who you really are. The author, John Kabat Zinn, demonstrated the benefits of mindfulness in three different ways. The author created the format of the book to be read and explored at random, a complete start to finish read, or a lesson per day on mindfulness practice. Entering, Sustaining, Deepening, Ripening, and Practicing are the sections in the book. Beginner level and advanced level meditators are able to find valuable and applicable information in this book. The key attitudes and essential practices of mindfulness explain why heartfulness is the same mindfulness, the significance of becoming attentive to our bodies and senses, how our thoughts are released when affected by awareness, the causes of distress, and how mindfulness heals. Many companies use images to try and trigger their viewers emotions or facts to attempt to establish credibility and get consumers to purchase their product or to grasp the message they are trying to get across. Companies like Budweiser and Kleenex achieve their advertising goals by using ethos, pathos, and logos. The Lost Puppy Budweiser commercial did a very good job at reaching their viewers on an emotional level. This advertisement started at a clydesdale farm, which is Budweiser s signature animal, with a white lab puppy. Of course viewers are going to be captivated by the adorable lab pup. As the commercials continues the pup get lost and goes on a journey back home. When the pup is almost home a wolf approaches which concerns the viewer s because it seems like inevitable death for the young lab. Until the clydesdale s appear and save the day and they all walk back home. What a sweet nail biting commercial right? That is the whole point Budweiser has their audience so caught up in this cute little puppy they do not even realize they are being sold an idea. Budweiser is trying to get their viewers to look at their product as a family product that establishes unbreakable bonds. • 9. Gender Inequality Of Equal Pay For Women Introduction: On January 29, 2016, The White House Press Office released a FACT SHEET on new steps to advance equal pay for women. This FACT SHEET states that, the median wage of a woman working full time all year in the United States is about $39,600 only 79 percent of a man s median earnings of $50,400 (The White House, 2016). However, many scholars and economists disagree that a gender wage gap exists. In addition, conservative political experts and bloggers promote the notion that gender based wage gap is an idea propagated by feminists, women empowering organizations, and progressives. However, almost all the working women in the United States, and organizations such as Institute for Women s Policy Research (IRWP), and American Association of University Women (AAAU), strongly believe in the existence of the gender wage gap. This sociological issue of equal pay for women is extremely relevant in today s environment where women perform equal work as men in many occupations. Furthermore, with almost 50% of the work force being women, women contributing equally to the family income, and a large number of women being the single parents supporting children, lack of equal pay over time could increase the poverty rates for women (White House, 2016). In addition, IWPR s 2015 report on the status of American women, states that if women receive equal pay for the same work, the poverty rate among women will see a reduction from 8.2% to 4%, an almost 50% reduction (Hess et ... • 10. Ipv6 Transition Abstract The rapid diffusion of the Internet and development of high speed broadband networks have posed the problem of inadequate IPv4 address space on the Internet. Moreover, this lack of address space has been made worse by the progress made towards the ubiquitous network society, in which various types of information equipment, mobile computers and electrical appliances communicate on the internet. IPv6 was developed as a solution to this problem. In this paper I discussed various features provided by IPv6 over IPv4 in terms of improved security, lower administration cost, QoS options, mobility, auto configuration, and peer to peer capability etc. The transition mechanisms in use today are discussed in details. I have conducted a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is important to understand that no matter what technology dominate the market today; tomorrow it will have to be upgraded to fulfil the demand. When IPv4 was developed it was the latest protocol to meet the demand of the time. Since the time has changes so has the demand, the need for change was inevitable. IPv6 introduced the features like increased address space allocation, stateless address configuration etc which have taken the limit of internet protocol to the edge. The reason behind choosing the topic of the evolution of internet protocol is to gain detailed knowledge on IP and its purpose and also discuss the issues related to the transition of IPv4 to IPv6. Besides the need for the transition and the transition mechanisms will be discussed. 3 Scope of the Research To conduct the research I will survey on three leading ISPs from Bangladesh. It would have been much more informative if an interview could have been carried out in person. But since it couldn t be done I will prepare a questionnaire to conduct a survey which will find out the current structure of the organisations and how the transition can be done. 1. This is the ongoing debate between sisters, Dee (Wangero) and Maggie in Alice Walker s Everyday Use and sisters Bharati and Mira in Bharati Mukherjee s Two Ways to Belong in America . In Everyday Use Maggie is a soft spoken homebody who has never found interest in straying from her mother while Dee on the other hand has moved on in life and uses her past as an image to prove how far she has made it in life, she even changed her birth name to cut all ties with her past. In Two Ways to Belong in America Bharati and Mira are Indian immigrants who both came to America with intentions of keeping their Indian heritage, but over time Bharati faded from her culture while Mira kept true. Although Maggie and Mira decided to stick to their roots, Dee and Bharati chose to immerse themselves in a new culture. Maggie in Everyday Use and Mira in Two Ways to Belong in America both chose to never stray from their traditions. This is displayed through Maggie because she lives at home with her mother and will marry a small town boy with a similar lifestyle to hers, She will marry John Thomas (who has mossy teeth in an earnest face) (Walker para. 13). Nonetheless, PriL, and in particular PriL C terminal domain (PriL CTD), has been shown to have an essential role at the initiation stage of primer synthesis, but not during the extension step. In fact, it is an essential gene in yeast. It has also been inferred that PriL CTD, is involved in the primase counting mechanism (p58 .counting..). The PriL CTD has an iron sulfur cluster which seems to play a structural role in conserving the correct three dimentional structure of the CTD (Agarkar et al. 2011 ; Sauguet et al. 2010 ; Vaithiyalingam et al. 2010 ). To date, the structure of PriL has not been solved in its integrity. Instead, substructures of a C terminally truncated version of PriL (PriL ΔCTD) have been solved in archaea and human (....). In addition, the structure of PriL CTD has been reported for both yeast and human. In fact, two crystal structures were reported for the human p58C (C terminal domain of the human large subunit) (.....). In both archaeal and eukaryotic primases, PriL CTD exhibits a similar structure consisting of two main domains; PriLα and PriL SBD. • 15. Application Of A Raspberry Pi Everyday all over the world thousands of dollars are wasted by people forgetting or not knowing that they have left their lights on. As a person who enjoys fixing problems I set out to design a product to fix this problem. Before I explain the things, I have researched I should probably explain my product itself. My product consists of a Raspberry Pi, light sensor, another circuit, and multiple components for visual purposes and for voltage reading. As most of the parts for this have already been made and are compatible with the Raspberry Pi, most of my product consist of costume made coding. The first thing I researched was the Raspberry Pi as it is the main component of this product. A Raspberry Pi is basically a single board computer with all the same components as a normal computer, but just much smaller. The main coding language that is used on a Raspberry Pi is Python (that is what language we decided to go with). Finding out that a Raspberry Pi is just a tiny computer I decided the next step would be to research the parts of a computer to fully understand how the Raspberry Pi would be handling the data sent to it by the modules. The first main part of a computer is the CPU (Central Processing Unit). The Central Processing Unit takes the data, numbers, and information given to the computer and processes it in to data that the other parts of the computer can use. The easiest way to describe it is as the brains of the computer as it basically does the same thing as our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Black Colleges And Universities ( Hbcus ) Essay Introduction Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before 1964. As amended by The Higher Education Act of 1965, a part B institution refers to any Historically Black college or university that was established prior to 1964, whose principal mission was, and is, the education of Black Americans, and that is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or association determined by the Secretary to be a reliable authority as to the quality of training offered or is, according to such an agency or association, making reasonable progress toward accreditation. Though in 1837 Cheyne University of Pennsylvania and 1854 Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) had been established for Black education, Black Colleges and Universities became recognized by the United States Government in the 1890 s. The second Morrill Land Grant Act specified that states using federal higher education funds must provide an education to Black students, either by opening the doors of their public universities to those of African descent, or by establishing schools specifically to serve them. Integration for white public and private institutions was completely out of the question due to the substantial racial divide within the United States so, many Southern states created a completely separate set of institutions serving Blacks. Thus were born many public and private Black colleges. Of the 100+ HBCU s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I would like to evaluate how mother s love is shown in the book, Game of Thrones and The Fifth Child. Game of Thrones uses three mothers and how they raise their child. Of great notice is the fact that the mothers live in different conditions with different challenges and different kinds of children. The women too, have different personalities and backgrounds. We realize from the book of the Game of Thrones, and the book of The Fifth Child that women react differently regarding loving their children. The changes might be because of the nature of their children, their personal challenges, or the circumstances that they are living in. We will study the sister of Caitlyn whose husband was killed under unclear circumstances. Finally, we will also study the motherhood of Harriet as she takes care of her five children with her husband. This essay is about how a mother s love changes in different circumstances. Caitlyn shows different characteristics while taking care of her three children. Mother s love is supposed to be unconditional. Irrespective of any situation, mothers should love their children, equally and visibly. Caitlyn, however, shows that one cannot love all their children equally. She particularly shows some of the aspects that might have caused the impartial treatment of her children. Her love for Arya is not as strong as her love for the other children of Eddard. She ... This is one of the biggest stereotypes about Asians out there. According to a 2008 online article called Stuff Asian People Like written by Peter; states that Asians tend to be loud due to adversity. We were compared to the Anglo Saxon legend of Beowulf. Asians are actually peaceful looking creatures who are soon to be evolved into creatures of such legends like Beowulf . According to Peter, we are compared to Beowulf because when Asians tend to talk loudly, it is as if we are screaming at the top of our lungs while trying to kill someone as Beowulf; a barbaric warrior would do. Peter also states that Asians tend to speak out loud due to the fact that we are stressed out in life. Peter is really basing this stereotype off of some kung fu movie, because we all know it is true that when someone like Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee starts fighting, they tend to pull out some loud grunts. Also the article states that we speak loudly because we are not able to express our opinions due to communism laying a barrier on our world and once we hit America, we are loud due to that barrier being lifted. What a big load of lies. I say it is a lie because I used to visit my country of Vietnam back then, and Vietnam is a huge communist country, yet I have seen many people especially other ethnic Asians visiting the country talking extremely loud. It all began with Vulgar Latin, a branch of Classical Latin, which was spread throughout the Roman Empire by the conquest of soldiers and the movement of colonists ( Romance Languages ). The most commonly accepted reasoning for these languages existence is that different regions of the Roman Empire slowly created their own form of dialect of Classical Latin, which eventually became the five Romance languages (Ledgeway). Here policy takes an incremental approach where decision makers take current practice as given, and make small incremental adjustments in that behaviour, resulting in gradual policy change (5). In the real world, policy making is more complex. In reaction to rational approaches the garbage can model of decision was developed to remove any assumption of rationality. This asserts that rational approaches suggest a greater level of intention, comprehension of problems, and predictability of relations among actors than found in reality (3). Additional elements work against rational policy making including the cognitive limitation of decision maker to consider all possible options and foresee all consequences. Ingram argued that policy problems are not neutral but subjectively identified through a political exercise based on values, interpretation and the subjectivity of policy makers (6). • 26. Investigating The Mechanism Of Decomposition, Reaction... Abstract: Thermal analysis data is used to determine the mechanism of decomposition, reaction energetics, and gas evolution of a material, specifically calcium silicate, also called limestone. Based on the basic rules of thermodynamics, a hypothesis can be formed that, as limestone is heated, it decomposes into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide due to heat transfer and the creation of impurities. The addition of silicon oxide, or quartz, can also cause limestone to decompose in the same manner. This was tested using experiments including Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Mass Spectrometry (MS), and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Figures 1 3 confirm this hypothesis through extensive logging of data. Future work can include data ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike pressure, temperature is a simple variable to alter. This is why it is preferred when analyzing controlled reaction rates, such as heat transfer. An increase in temperature causes certain materials, commonly salts, to decompose, controlling the free energy that is released. Salts, which are unstable at high temperatures, are ideal subjects for thermal analysis. For example, when CaCO3 decomposes into CaO and CO2, the nucleation of CaO causes a decrease in temperature [that] represents the endothermic heat absorbed by the reaction. The decomposition of a material is affected by various factors, such as the pressure exerted on the material while it is heated, the amount of time the material is exposed to heat, and the rate of heat transfer. (Kingery). On a macroscopic level, as limestone is heated, it will darken in color as it separates into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide. As it decomposes, calcium oxide will be formed into a solid and carbon dioxide will be released as a gas. The calcined powder will retain its darker color, but would otherwise look similar to the initial limestone. Decomposition is a reaction to the impurities caused by the heating of the material. (Thermogravimetric). Experimental Methods: After collecting samples and placing the calcium silicate, limestone, into each machine for the duration of time needed to collect 230 data points, testing is completed. In the fourth reaction, 15 mL of 6.0 M sulfuric acid was added to the copper (II) oxide while stirring. The balanced equation for this reaction is as follows: CuO (s) + H2SO4 (aq) Ă  CuSO4 (aq) + H2O (l) + SO2 (g) When the sulfuric acid was added to copper (II) oxide, the solution turned blue. This was due to the formation of aqueous copper (II) sulfate, which produced the copper ions to change the color of the solution. The Effects Of Radioactive Decay On The World Thorium has long been the subject of scientific research ever since its discovery, and now it appears that this obscure element may be the energy source which could fuel humanity for generations to come. While thorium has a complicated history, the element remains very important to humanity for many reasons. Discovered about the same time as uranium in the 19th century, thorium has been well known to the scientific community for many years (World Nuclear Association). In fact, famous scientists like Marie Curie and Ernest Rutherford worked with the element in several experiments when radioactive decay was first being discovered. Since that time, however, thorium has largely been thrown by the wayside for use in practical applications such as energy production in favor of neighboring elements uranium and plutonium. Things are starting to turn around for thorium though, as people are beginning to realize that thorium power offers cleaner, more powerful, and safer energy than anything humanity has ever known before, and they are beginning to take action to make thorium more widely known as an important prospective energy source. The line of thought and the method to understand the two is rather subjective.
