The Existence of God Essay
The Existence of God
What we call religious experience can differ greatly. Some reports exist of supernatural happenings
that it would be difficult to explain from a rational, scientific point of view. On the other hand, there
also exist the sorts of testimonies that simply seem to convey a feeling or a peace of oneness
something which most of us, religious or not, may possibly relate to.
Firstly, I will consider the nature of an experience. Experience involves encounters which are
empirical (testable via senses). We draw non empirical conclusions about many things and people that
they have orange hair and are 5 feet tall, that they are lonely and confused. These conclusions are
mainly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is known through testimonies of the recipients of these experiences.
In categorising religious experiences is helpful to look at them as explicable through one of two
theories: the objectivist thesis or the subjectivist thesis.
The objectivist view supposes that there is some object or actual entity such as god which exists
independently of the experience, interaction which causes the experience itself. God is described as
numinous. This is a term often used to describe the experience in which God s separateness is
highlighted. This was put forward by Rudolf Otto in his book The Idea of the Holy. Otto religion
sprang from experience of the holly. Because the word numinous has many associations he used
numen, something which is wholly other than the natural world
An objectivist would argue that the religious experience is a proof of God s existence. However,
others have criticised the reliability of religious experiences. The English philosopher Thomas Hobbes
asked how it was possible to tell the differences between talking to God in a dream, and dreaming
about talking to God. The objectivist thesis is ultimately the most traditional viewpoint since it views
God as object that is, something which exists independently of us (such as a table or another person).

Alexander Glazunov Research Paper
Alexander Glazunov was one of the many talented, Russian composers of the romantic period. He was
only a boy of nine years when he started playing piano, which he was naturally gifted at; he started
composing his own music at the age of eleven. When his talent was discovered by the former head of
The Russian Five, Mily Balakirev, news spread quickly to the famed composer Nikolai Rimsky
Korsakov who sought to meet this young, high school aged, composer. Glazunov was taught privately
by Rimsky Korsakov at the conservatory of St. Petersburg; Rimsky said that His musical development
progressed not by the day, but literally by the hour . When Glazunov was only sixteen, Rimsky
Korsakov premiered his work and Alexander Borodin, among others, ... Show more content on

He contributed to Russian music in more ways than one, but the way that most people would agree
that he helped was that he kept nationalism strong during the roughest times of WW1 and the Russian
revolutions. His traditionally Russian sound was inspired by the nationalistic Balakirev, with the
fabulous orchestration of Rimsky Korsakov, the larger than life sound of Borodin, shaped by the
beautifully lyrical sound of Tchaikovsky, and structured with the potent counterpoint of Sergei
Taneyev. Glazunov remains one of the most well known Russian composers of his time, and his
legacy lives on in the beautiful modern recordings of his many symphonies, string quartets, ballets,
and concerti. He will always hold a place in the heart of the national Russian sound, with the echoes of
the grand halls of the Russian Music Society concerts, his soul rings in his music, untouched by the
harsh dissonance that so oft is felt in society

Horoscopes Persuasive Speech
Have you ever wondered why there is such an evident prejudice against Gemini s? Even if you didn t
know that was a thing, now don t you want to find out? Well to tell you the truth there really is no
logical reason why people target Gemini. People could have just as easily targeted Sagittarius or Leo
but they chose not to. I believe that one thing that made it easier to target Gemini was the fact that the
sign Gemini stands for the constellation of the twins so you could call them two faced . There are
always good and bad people for every sign, so there is no real reason for any stereotype against any
one of them, especially if you don t believe in horoscopes. I hope as you read more about the process

(I can t remember the website now but) A website said that if you believe in astrology wholeheartedly
that is 90% 100% true for you. If you believe on the down low, just dabble here and there, it is most
likely 40% 60% true for you. Finally, if you don t believe at all it would only be 0% 20% true for you.
In some aspects it seems totally fake. The chance of everyone born in the same month as you having
similar traits to you is about as likely as evolution, it can t happen. But if you think about it, I would
say at least half of those people wouldn t believe in astrology at all and maybe 20 ish% would just
believe a little. Though that may be the case, I would still say it is highly unlikely. Most of the tools
used in reading your horoscope I believe are hocus pocus (no pun intended... well maybe a little...).
Things like Tarot Cards, dowsing rods and runes may help you to feel the energy but really all they re
doing is putting on a show. Astrology is definitely not irreducibly complex, and I could probably rip
this apart piece by piece and dive head first into the root of all the stars. [For the sake of my sleep
schedule I will save that for my final copy xD] I will add something though, the horoscopes you see in
the paper are definitely not something you should believe, and they are most likely not done by
someone who knows what they re doing.

Globalization in Indonesia
The 1997 1998 globalization effects in Indonesia
In 1998 20% of the Indonesian population were below the poverty line. In 1999, 28% of the
population was below the poverty line. Then in 2000, 22% of the population was below the poverty
line (Rukmana).
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) claims to help countries in poverty achieve macroeconomic
stability to reduce poverty. Macroeconomic stability is the balance of healthy rates of: GDP,
unemployment, and price indices (Gupya). Indonesia sought the aid of the IMF after their devastating
finical crisis in 1998. Indonesia had a reported 700 million people in extreme poverty in 1998 (White

Rizal Ramli stated with the IMF s involvement 10 years ago the crisis plunged deeper than necessary.

(Markar Macan) In conclusion, the damages and the set backs to the Indonesian economy have been
monumental and scarring. The IMF s intentions are disputable and available for speculation. But more
importantly the Indonesian economy suffered more after the aid of the IMF. Many Indonesians feel as
if they were on the right track before they had any interference with IMF. Nether the less, Indonesia is
still currently rebuilding from the damage that the IMF caused hopefully countries in need will take
note to the Bitter Pill that Indonesia had swallowed and refuse assistance from organizations like the
IMF.

Overall, the three articles discussed in this annotated bibliography provide direction for social workers
and researchers who are looking to employ a holistic and client centered approach to working with
forensic populations. Forensic populations are often affected by multiple biopsychosocial systems
such as: mental illness, substance use disorders, deviant sexual thoughts and behaviors, and criminal
behavior. Although the biopsychosocial systems which affect forensic populations are often
intersecting and inter related, it can become necessary to individuate and control for these systems
within research in order to better ascertain the efficacy of a desired treatment model. Given that I have

Eastlyn Koons Robots Are Better Than Humans
The increased development of artificial intelligence and the everyday use of technology can lead to a
future full of robots, claims Eastlyn Koons in Robots are Better than Humans. Koons lives in the
modern day where advancements are being made every day in the field of technology and artificial
intelligence machines have started to replace the jobs of some people. People fear the uprising of robot
rebellion and an inevitable Doomsday because of it. Through appeals to fear and pride, Koons asks the
world to consider the use of technology in their lives and the role it may play in the future. Koons
starts off the intro of her satirical essay by using sarcasm and rhetorical in order to show the audience
what is happening with the world at that time and establish the satire of her essay. In the first sentence,
Koons claims that robots are better than humans, as they are humans favorite things , suggesting that
the humans basically created their own better version. Koons utilizes a rhetorical question to ask why
humans are still there , showcasing the dispensability and non necessity of humans when robots are
present. By doing so, Koons demonstrates that humans have, in a way, become the cause of their own
downfall. After establishing the satirical nature of her essay, Koons sets the context to explain the
reasoning behind the essay. She talks about ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to the sarcasm, as well as the exclamation mark at the end after she seems to almost insult the
intelligence and mindset of humans. By using these certain phrases, Koons adds to the satire and

Language Is Used For Social And Cultural Communication
Oral Language: Language is used for social and cultural communication. Students enter school with a
language base (standard or non standard English) that teachers must build on. Oral language
communication is deeply rooted in learning to read and write. Oral language development lays the
foundation for students development of phonological awareness skills. Teachers can build literacy
experiences around students language skills.
Teaching Tips
Rich teacher talk: during reading and writing teachers used a variety of uncommon words to build
students listening vocabulary. Teachers extend children s comments to be more descriptive and
grammatically correct. Teachers should listen and respond to all comments students make during
literacy interactions.
Story book reading: Read stories, poems and information books during whole and small group.
Teachers support students learning through discussion before, during and after reading. Teachers use
repeated reading of favorite books to build on students retelling and memory.
Alphabet Knowledge: Students understanding that written spelling represents spoken word is crucial
to beginning reading attainment. Learning the letters of the alphabet requires many meaningful
experiences with written language. Teachers should begin teaching alphabet letters using
environmental print and children s names. Although some letters should not be taught together,
children don t learn letters of the alphabet in any particular order or by drilling

Comparing Rita Dove s Poetry And Her Life
By examining Rita Dove s awards, poems, and her life, it is clear that she is one of the most influential
people alive. Growing up in a time era where black and women were discriminated against, she fought
for those who didn t have a voice. Through her work, she attempts to answer those unanswerable
questions and about personal destiny and distilling the experiences of oppressed groups; women,
blacks and working class citizens. Rita Dove was born in Akron, Ohio, to Ray Dove, the first African

Ph Homeostasis Research Paper
Our bodies work in incredible and various ways. Especially when our body is affected by imbalances
in our pH. PH is the concentration of hydrogen ions in the blood. Solutions with a high concentration
of H+ have a low pH, unlike solutions with a low concentration of H+ have a high pH. The normal pH
is between 7.35 7.45. Anything else that ranges either below 7.35 or above 7.45 is abnormal. With this
being said, the pH tells you whether the person is in acidosis (pH 7.35) or alkalosis (pH 7.45). If the
human body is too acidic/alakalitic, the body must expend energy to compensate for this; energy that
would be better served in other areas of the body. This is known as homeostasis, a characteristic
system that regulates its internal environment and tends to keep things constant. A good way of
sustaining pH homeostasis is through a short term mechanism called chemical buffer system, which
are bicarbonate, phosphate, and protein buffer systems. Buffer systems solution resists changes to its
pH when a strong acid or base is added. Another system that manages severe changes of pH is the ...

Throughout the duration and both plays, Hamlet and Othello, the theme of revenge presides over the

those two decisions, nothing follows with any order or morality. Instead of serving proper justice to
Claudius or disagreeing with Othello s decision, the two men are brought to utter catastrophe. As

They understand he is still grieving his father s death but that does not justify him to following a ghost
alone somewhere unknown. Marcellus and Horatio know Hamlet s safety could be in jeopardy so they
try holding him back. When Hamlet realizes the resistance from his men, he yells out still am I called.
Unhand me, gentlemen. By heaven, I ll make a ghost of him that lets me! I say, away! Go on. I ll
follow thee (Ham. I. v. 55). This serious episode that Hamlet displays is showing his lack of regard
towards his men. Hamlet threatens death to Marcellus and Horatio by not letting him go, which in the
moment they were only trying to protect him from harm. The men believe the uncertain entity is
threatening to all of them and Hamlet does not seem to acknowledge where the guards are coming
from. Within the American Psychological Association manual, manic speech is characterized by
complaints, hostile comments, or angry tirades, particularly if attempts are made to interrupt the
individual (A.P.A. Sect. II). The fact that Hamlet s moment with the guards exactly mirrors what the
official manual states is very evident that Hamlet does suffer from manic episodes. Progressing
through the play, Hamlet is seen not just in manic states but depressed states. These are his low points
and are, in most cases, the other side of Bipolar 1 Disorder. During his to be or not to be speech,

Difference Between Spanish And New England Colonies
Spanish vs New England Colonies Starting in 1492 when Christopher Columbus, a Spanish explorer,
sailed the ocean blue and discovered the New World began this journey for the Spanish and New
England colonies. A settlement had begun to develop as more expeditions sailed for the New World.
The Spanish drive for mercantilism and the desire for the expansion of the joint stock companies set
them apart from New England. The English wanted religious persecution from Britain and the
Anglican Church. The New England, the Middle, and the Chesapeake colonies held the most power in
this time period. Wealth for the colonies was found in trading manufactured goods, raw materials, fur,
and most important slaves. This brought much conflict between the colonies, causing the development
of each to be deterred from the original path. It is in this context that the countries of Spain and New
England had been attempting to establish life and wealth in the New World in opposite ways. Three
noteworthy differences between the Spanish and New England colonies were their economic ideals,
religious ways, and the manner in which the colonies treated the indigenous people are what set the
two colonies apart from each other. A significant difference between the Spanish and New England
colonies was their economic ideals. Although the English and the Spanish both wanted to bring wealth
to their countries, both colonies took different paths. The race for wealth between these countries

Locker Searches In Schools
*Under school district drug testing policies, athletes and students participating in extracurricular
activities can be subjected to drug tests without individualized suspicion. Lockers and Other School
Owned Property Courts have singled out school lockers as generating a lower expectation of privacy,
frequently distinguishing locker searches on the basis that a locker is school property, and students do
not retain exclusive possession. This is particularly likely when they have signed a form
acknowledging that the locker is school property and subject to inspection. Under the view of joint
control, school officials have been allowed to inspect lockers or even to consent to locker searches by
law enforcement officers. For example, a California appellate court held a warrantless search of a

In a Pennsylvania case, the state supreme court relied on the T.L.O. decision and the student code in

a student shall be notified and given an opportunity to be present. However, where school authorities
have a reasonable suspicion that the locker contains materials which pose a threat to the health,

school wide blanket search reasonable based on the heightened awareness of drug activity that
permeated the entire school and the compelling concern about drug

The Culture Of Country Music In The 1920 s
Country Music
There was nothing but the darkness of the night. There were no noise to be heard. Suddenly a loud
strumming of music came from one direction. Gathering around, people were amazed by what
beautiful music they were hearing. This was the start of something new and original; it was called
country music. Country music started in the early 1920s. This genre of music originated from the

In the beginning of the 1920s, country music started to take it s hold. The roots of the country genre
came from the older American folk music and the Western music. This type of music usually came
from the more unfortunate people of the Eastern states. Country music in the 1920s usually consisted
of ballads and dance tunes with generally simple forms and harmonies. Multifold of the instruments
that were used to make this tune and harmonies were banjos, acoustic guitar, fiddles, and harmonicas.
In the 1920s, there weren t many people who knew about the country genre, and the idea of country

Product Quality and Process Quality
Product quality
Quality is the measure of excellence or state of being free from deficiency, defects, and significant

Quality of a product can be mainly assessed from a manufacturer and a customer point of view.
From a customer point of view, product quality is perspective as each individual perceives quality
differently. Ultimately, product quality is the capability of the product to fulfil customer expectations
as required from the users.
Quality from a manufacturer s perspective depends on company size, culture, financial resources,
human resources, market pressures and company strategy.

However, a cost benefit analysis is required to be carried out to determine if the extent of quality
assurance and quality control is beneficial to the business.
The final inspection of the product is used for quality assurance as well.
There is a fine balance between quality and cost of any product. If the product maintains a higher than
required quality and the cost is high due to this very requirement, demand will decrease. Therefore,
quality should be maintained at a level where it is sustainable so that a the product can be cost
effective to face a competitive market.
In the case study, Harris s team experiments with different techniques to reduce the time required to
prepare the chocolate at different stages of the process of chocolate making. It is clear that with the
changes in the processes of chocolate production, the final quality was sometimes so much affected
that the pioneers of the factory refused to endorse the change. This proves that there is an undeniable
interaction between product quality and process quality.
However, the decision was made to make changes in the process only after so many trials, testing and
tasting.
This demonstrates that,
In order to make a good quality product a series of quality processes are required.
To maintain quality process a series of quality control systems are required.
In a process quality control scheme the sequence of the steps

Analysis Of The Blackbird Call In Grief
Death is a spiritual experience that is flush with taboo connotations. When a loved one leaves this life
for the after there are tears and grieving. This occurrence has been used countless times throughout
history to commemorate the passing of a loved one, this makes it difficult to produce a piece of poetry
that discussed death in a way it has not been discussed before. In The New Oxford Book of Irish Verse
poem 67 which will be referred to as The blackbird calls in grief , poem 108 which will be referred to
as There are three ways to await death , and All That is Left...by Michael Hartnett discuss this taboo
topic in new and interesting ways. These poems are distinct because of the way that the author
represents death. These poems are related and similar while being vastly different.
The blackbird calls in grief is an anonymously written poem from the twelfth century. The narrator of
the poem laments the story of the death of loved ones. In the poem, the narrator laments to a blackbird
and mourns the passing of both their families. The bird is personified by the narrator. In this poem, the
death is of two families, the birds, and the mans. The harm now happened to him/ not long since
happened to me (Kinsella 85). An analogy is created equating the loss of the two families and the
injustice of the loss. The seventh stanza questions God, O You who made the world, / Your bias is hard
to bear:/ friends all around me are spared, / their woman and young survive (Kinsella

Assessment and Analysis of Balanced Scorecards
Assessment and Analysis of Balanced Scorecards
Introduction
The greater the competitive intensity of a given industry the more essential the four foundational
elements of balanced scorecards become in translating expertise and knowledge into profitable
performance. The BSC framework unifies and galvanizes the vision, mission and values of an
enterprise into a framework that encompasses learning and growth, internal business processes,
customer driven innovation and financial factors of the business (Kaplan, Norton, 2001). Case
analyses of the Tri Cities Community Bank: A Balanced Scorecard Case (Albright, Davis, Hibbets,
2001) and Walmart Corporation illustrate how causal chain analysis is an essential component of a
complete BSC strategy. The value of causal chain analysis is particularly valid for Walmart
Corporation, whose business model is predicated on the continual operation of a smoothly functioning
supply chain that needs to continually translate learning into process improvement for improving the
customer experience and profits (Park, Min, Park, 2011). Walmart illustrates how difficult it is to
simultaneously balance the four perspectives in the balanced scorecard. Part One of this analysis
illustrates through previous case analyses and research completed in this course. Part Two of this
analysis defines and discusses two concepts that are essential to be successful in business
administration. Part Three is s reflective essay on experiences taking this course in

How Yoga Can Help Relieve The Stress That College Students
One would be hard pressed to find a college student who does not deal with high levels of stress.
According to the American College Health Association s annual assessment last year, approximately
53% of college students reported experiencing above average levels of stress (ACHA). What s more,
30% of those students said stress had a significant negative impact on their academic performance
(ACHA). Unfortunately, attending college requires students to take on unavoidably stressful
situations, such as paying for tuition and living expenses, rigorous coursework, and other social and
family related obligations. Since the sources of stress cannot be eliminated for the most part, the best
way to students to successfully navigate their college education is to learn methods for stress
management. One of these methods is to practice yoga. In this paper, I hope to demonstrate how yoga
can help relieve the stress that college students experience by explaining the physical and mental
benefits of developing a yoga practice. In addition, I will address the limitations that college students
in the United States may face when getting involved with yoga, and in turn offer solutions to these
limitations. First, I will give a brief overview of the history of yoga and explain what it is. The word
yoga means to unite or connect. It is a spiritual practice and system of discipline that originated in
India approximately five thousand years ago. Although it is most commonly tied to the religion

American Media Coverage Of The Israeli Arab Conflict
American Media coverage of the Israeli Arab conflict
What is an Arab? In a great number of movies Hollywood provides the answer to this question: Arabs
are cruel murderers, sleazy rapists, religious fanatics, oil rich dimwits, and abusers of women
(Shaheen 2). This is how Hollywood shows Arabs to the world. Throughout the history we can trace
the discrimination in several media industry against African American, Jewish, and Hispanic people.
However, in some North America s media Arabs are depicted more negatively than any other
nationality. Media shapes the public opinion, it is our window to the world. The misrepresentation and
misperception of Arabs in North America s media have led to political, religion, and culture conflict.
The given paper will prove that the way media depicts Arabs negatively affected the Israeli Arab
conflict.
It seems that the Arab Israeli conflict is not going to be resolved. The conflict took many thousands of
lives. There are millions of refugees both in the Arab states, and in Israel. Both Arab and Jewish
people sustain economic, physical and moral losses. These losses make the hostile parties accept
inevitable truces. The forces of peoples and the international communities try to promote peace
making. For many years the problem of this conflict has been solved by the UN Security Council, the
EU, and even was discussed at the Group of Eight summits. However it is not possible to find any
consensus, owing to obvious unwillingness of different

Following this letter you will find an attached report for my study, Examining and Updating the
Campus Map System at Texas A M University: A Recommendation Report. Working diligently over
the past two weeks, I have completed all six tasks listed in my previous proposal, which was
submitted on June 14, 2015. Following the task areas I set for this report, I was able to come to a firm

strong desire from the younger students when it comes to providing a more interactive service.
However, there was a sort of indifference from the older students as they saw the need for the
application but as they already know the campus well after a few years, they seemed less enthusiastic
regarding the idea of a new system. Additionally, it was discovered that there is some serious
additional start up cost for the creation of a new system that would be compatible on both computers
and smart phones nonetheless, it seems like a necessary expense when it comes to keeping up with the

Essay on Analysis of Alice Munro s How I Met My Husband
Analysis of Alice Munro s How I Met My Husband
All of it is clear to a person who has understanding and right to those who have acquired knowledge.
(Proverbs 8:6 9)
Alice Munro gives a good example of the meaning of this in her story How I Met My Husband . The
theme of this story is under certain circumstances people can sometimes be blind to the truth.
The main character, Edie, provides the narration of the story from a first person point of view. She
tells her story based on an event from her past. Because she narrates the story the reader is unable to
be sure if what she tells of the other characters is completely accurate. Because one does not hear
other character s thoughts one could question whether Edie ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

She was very responsible for her age because she took care of the Peebleses two children and of their
house. Yet, she was uneducated and did not know much about love or boys. She told of how she
longed for a boyfriend or someone to kiss. Sometimes when you want things bad enough you begin to
believe they are true. For example, because Edie really wanted someone to love her, she really
believed Chris would send her a letter. However, if she would have examined his prior actions, like
how he treated Alice, Edie could have come to the conclusion that there would be no letter.
Another character important in the story was Chris. He was a soldier in the war. Supposedly, he was
engaged to Alice but from the way he treated her, one would question it. Also, he was cowardly
because he ran away from her rather than telling her how he truly felt, he said, ...A plane can get
further than a car . Also, the reader may believe he is running away from his feelings because of
something deeper. Maybe the war had injured him emotionally or mentally. These factors will
definitely make it hard to discover what is true.
Also, the character of Alice has some interesting meaning to the story. The character of Alice may be
modeled after the author Alice Munro because they have shared similar experiences between men.
Apparently, the author had been through a divorce and many of the

Efficacy Of Telemedicine Essay
In 2010 a study was completed in the state of California in order to evaluate the efficacy of
telemedicine to reduce barriers to healthcare in rural populations (Ritter, L., Robinette, T., Cofano, J.,
2010). The assessment was made in 33 counties throughout California and was accomplished through
patient satisfaction survey. The ultimate result of the survey was that telemedicine can improve access
to care for people in rural settings, along with those who live in situations that make it difficult to
access care.

(2008), has shown that CCTM is a viable approach to chronic disease management. They included a
large volume of patients over a number of years and proved that the program is viable in all kinds of
demographic settings from urban, to super rural. This particular review further agrees with other
studies relating to customer satisfaction using telemedicine. This seems universal across studies. The
area where this particular evaluation differs from the others is the proof that it does reduce
consumption of care, and reduces cost of care. This review validates this in a significant manner. The
VHA appears to have developed a solid program model for delivering CCTM to its customer base, and
the customer base seems to like it. This case report supports the capstone project question by
validating the efficacy of case management via telemedicine. As illustrated by the patient enrolled in
the CP program there is a desire to participate in her care. However, she is physically unable to do so
because of a lack of transportation. CCTM would enable this patient to manage her chronic diseases
while being engaged with her primary care team so that her experience of care would improve, while
simultaneously reducing her per capita cost of care as she would no longer have to rely on emergency
services to provide her

struggle to write it herself and asked me if I could sit with her and help her to think of the words to say
and if I would write it out for her. I agreed to do this and I explained to Mrs Smith that this was a very

American Slavery American Freedom Summary
In reviewing the book American Slavery, American Freedom, historian and author Edmund S. Morgan
provides a chronological approach to the growth of slavery in North America. Morgan starts his
journey with the first settlements in Virginia and continues until the start of the American Revolution.
Morgan gives explanation of how ideals of freedom and English sense of superiority came to be a
major stepping stone for independence and racism. Morgan s question of how a country that proclaims
liberty, equality and religious virtue can at the same time foster the opposing ideals of slavery and
subjugation is the underlying question throughout the book. Morgan puts the critical issue on display,
broken down into four areas or books, to guide our understanding of colonial Virginia, the
development of slavery, and the link between racism and equality.
This highly regarded and scholarly book examines the fundamental paradox of freedom and the
establishment of slavery in American history. The central question posed by Morgan is how a people
could have developed the dedication to human liberty and dignity exhibited by the leaders of the
American Revolution and at the same time have developed and maintained a system of labor that
denied human liberty and dignity every hour of the day (Morgan 1975, 4 5). The location in Morgan s
research is colonial Virginia, once the largest slave state and home of proponents of liberty. Morgan s
detailed discussion of: the rise of race slavery over indentured servants and poor Englishmen as the
solution to workforce growth, a ruling class bound to the English tradition of superiority, and
acceptance of lifelong denial of human equality in the face of the fight for liberty demonstrates the
paradox for the reader.
While the first two sections of the book provide the historical context of the settling of the Virginia
colony, the last two demonstrate Morgan s theory of how racism was developed to ensure a
sustainable workforce. The rise of the labor theory demonstrates how slavery itself became a
necessary business venture in Virginia while at the same time justified the Revolutionary concepts of
liberty and equality for all white men. The belief that only the men, or white Englishmen

Freedom Of Press Amendment Research Paper
I believe advertisements targeting children should not be banned in the United States. Doing so would
be unconstitutional due to the Freedom of Press amendment. Advertisements can help children by
promoting healthy eating habits while at the same time teaching them that advertisements are just
ploys for businesses to get more money. Banning advertisements targeted towards children in the
United States would violate the rights of many businesses across the nation. The Constitution along
with its amendments are in place to protect every citizen and business in the nation. The Freedom of
Press amendment was implemented for when cases like this one are brought up. Taking this right
away would upset the balance in this country and possibly

Basic Forms Of Business Organization
Three basic forms of business organization are sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. Sole
proprietorship is the simplest form of business organization in which there is only one owner
(Cheeseman, 2015, p. 570). Single person is responsible for all debts, liabilities, and obligations, as
well as unlimited liability for business operations. If the owner is unsuccessful and acquires debt,
creditors can pursue legal action and acquire access to personal bank accounts, real estate, and other
assets by the court order to repay person s debt obligations. Owners of sole proprietorships cannot
raise capital by selling shares that represent stakeholder interest in the business. The owner reports all
income and expenses in personal tax return. The business terminates upon withdrawal or an owner s
death. The owner can sell the business and by doing so, will lose the ownership. Advantages of sole
proprietorship include freedom of decisions, tax breaks, ease to start, ownership of all profits, being
taxed once as a personal income of the owner, and lack of government compliance. Disadvantages of
sole proprietorship include unlimited liability, very limited sources of production, and difficulty to
raise capital. According to Cheeseman (2015), general partnership is an association of two or more
persons to carry on as co owners of a business for profit (p. 572). The rights and duties of partners are
established in the partnership agreement and by law such as Uniform

  • 2. The Existence of God Essay The Existence of God What we call religious experience can differ greatly. Some reports exist of supernatural happenings that it would be difficult to explain from a rational, scientific point of view. On the other hand, there also exist the sorts of testimonies that simply seem to convey a feeling or a peace of oneness something which most of us, religious or not, may possibly relate to. Firstly, I will consider the nature of an experience. Experience involves encounters which are empirical (testable via senses). We draw non empirical conclusions about many things and people that they have orange hair and are 5 feet tall, that they are lonely and confused. These conclusions are mainly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is known through testimonies of the recipients of these experiences. In categorising religious experiences is helpful to look at them as explicable through one of two theories: the objectivist thesis or the subjectivist thesis. The objectivist view supposes that there is some object or actual entity such as god which exists independently of the experience, interaction which causes the experience itself. God is described as numinous. This is a term often used to describe the experience in which God s separateness is highlighted. This was put forward by Rudolf Otto in his book The Idea of the Holy. Otto religion sprang from experience of the holly. Because the word numinous has many associations he used numen, something which is wholly other than the natural world An objectivist would argue that the religious experience is a proof of God s existence. However, others have criticised the reliability of religious experiences. The English philosopher Thomas Hobbes asked how it was possible to tell the differences between talking to God in a dream, and dreaming about talking to God. The objectivist thesis is ultimately the most traditional viewpoint since it views God as object that is, something which exists independently of us (such as a table or another person). However, ... • 3. Alexander Glazunov Research Paper Alexander Glazunov was one of the many talented, Russian composers of the romantic period. He was only a boy of nine years when he started playing piano, which he was naturally gifted at; he started composing his own music at the age of eleven. When his talent was discovered by the former head of The Russian Five, Mily Balakirev, news spread quickly to the famed composer Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov who sought to meet this young, high school aged, composer. Glazunov was taught privately by Rimsky Korsakov at the conservatory of St. Petersburg; Rimsky said that His musical development progressed not by the day, but literally by the hour . When Glazunov was only sixteen, Rimsky Korsakov premiered his work and Alexander Borodin, among others, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He contributed to Russian music in more ways than one, but the way that most people would agree that he helped was that he kept nationalism strong during the roughest times of WW1 and the Russian revolutions. His traditionally Russian sound was inspired by the nationalistic Balakirev, with the fabulous orchestration of Rimsky Korsakov, the larger than life sound of Borodin, shaped by the beautifully lyrical sound of Tchaikovsky, and structured with the potent counterpoint of Sergei Taneyev. Glazunov remains one of the most well known Russian composers of his time, and his legacy lives on in the beautiful modern recordings of his many symphonies, string quartets, ballets, and concerti. He will always hold a place in the heart of the national Russian sound, with the echoes of the grand halls of the Russian Music Society concerts, his soul rings in his music, untouched by the harsh dissonance that so oft is felt in society ... • 4. Horoscopes Persuasive Speech Have you ever wondered why there is such an evident prejudice against Gemini s? Even if you didn t know that was a thing, now don t you want to find out? Well to tell you the truth there really is no logical reason why people target Gemini. People could have just as easily targeted Sagittarius or Leo but they chose not to. I believe that one thing that made it easier to target Gemini was the fact that the sign Gemini stands for the constellation of the twins so you could call them two faced . There are always good and bad people for every sign, so there is no real reason for any stereotype against any one of them, especially if you don t believe in horoscopes. I hope as you read more about the process and the science behind all of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (I can t remember the website now but) A website said that if you believe in astrology wholeheartedly that is 90% 100% true for you. If you believe on the down low, just dabble here and there, it is most likely 40% 60% true for you. Finally, if you don t believe at all it would only be 0% 20% true for you. In some aspects it seems totally fake. The chance of everyone born in the same month as you having similar traits to you is about as likely as evolution, it can t happen. But if you think about it, I would say at least half of those people wouldn t believe in astrology at all and maybe 20 ish% would just believe a little. Though that may be the case, I would still say it is highly unlikely. Most of the tools used in reading your horoscope I believe are hocus pocus (no pun intended... well maybe a little...). Things like Tarot Cards, dowsing rods and runes may help you to feel the energy but really all they re doing is putting on a show. Astrology is definitely not irreducibly complex, and I could probably rip this apart piece by piece and dive head first into the root of all the stars. [For the sake of my sleep schedule I will save that for my final copy xD] I will add something though, the horoscopes you see in the paper are definitely not something you should believe, and they are most likely not done by someone who knows what they re doing. ... The former finance minister Rizal Ramli stated with the IMF s involvement 10 years ago the crisis plunged deeper than necessary. (Markar Macan) Rizal Ramli also stated Indonesians do not want to taste the same bitter pill again. (Markar Macan) In conclusion, the damages and the set backs to the Indonesian economy have been monumental and scarring. The IMF s intentions are disputable and available for speculation. But more importantly the Indonesian economy suffered more after the aid of the IMF. Many Indonesians feel as if they were on the right track before they had any interference with IMF. Nether the less, Indonesia is still currently rebuilding from the damage that the IMF caused hopefully countries in need will take note to the Bitter Pill that Indonesia had swallowed and refuse assistance from organizations like the IMF. PH is the concentration of hydrogen ions in the blood. Solutions with a high concentration of H+ have a low pH, unlike solutions with a low concentration of H+ have a high pH. The normal pH is between 7.35 7.45. Anything else that ranges either below 7.35 or above 7.45 is abnormal. With this being said, the pH tells you whether the person is in acidosis (pH 7.35) or alkalosis (pH 7.45). If the human body is too acidic/alakalitic, the body must expend energy to compensate for this; energy that would be better served in other areas of the body. This is known as homeostasis, a characteristic system that regulates its internal environment and tends to keep things constant. A good way of sustaining pH homeostasis is through a short term mechanism called chemical buffer system, which are bicarbonate, phosphate, and protein buffer systems. (2008), has shown that CCTM is a viable approach to chronic disease management. They included a large volume of patients over a number of years and proved that the program is viable in all kinds of demographic settings from urban, to super rural. This particular review further agrees with other studies relating to customer satisfaction using telemedicine. This seems universal across studies. The area where this particular evaluation differs from the others is the proof that it does reduce consumption of care, and reduces cost of care. This review validates this in a significant manner. The VHA appears to have developed a solid program model for delivering CCTM to its customer base, and the customer base seems to like it. This case report supports the capstone project question by validating the efficacy of case management via telemedicine. As illustrated by the patient enrolled in the CP program there is a desire to participate in her care. However, she is physically unable to do so because of a lack of transportation. CCTM would enable this patient to manage her chronic diseases while being engaged with her primary care team so that her experience of care would improve, while simultaneously reducing her per capita cost of care as she would no longer have to rely on emergency services to provide her ... A living, breathing, and screaming reason to resist the madness and take a leap. However, as A Mad Girl s Love Song by Sylvia Plath portrays, infatuation coexists within a diminishing nature. Despite the growing lack of love, withdrawal has found a way to take claim of the heart. One the day of the funeral I spent some time with Mrs Smith to make sure she was okay. I asked her if she would like to write a letter to her daughter in law which we could put in an envelope and set on fire, as if it was going up to heaven with her. She liked this idea but explained to me she would struggle to write it herself and asked me if I could sit with her and help her to think of the words to say and if I would write it out for her. I agreed to do this and I explained to Mrs Smith that this was a very personal thing she had asked me to do and reassured her that what was written in the letter would strictly stay between me and her and this comforted her. At 11am that day myself, Mrs Smith, her neighbour and our activities co ordinator went out into the back garden and had the service, to which Mrs Smith said a few words and we sprinkled the ashes of the letter in a corner of the garden which has a little seating area and explained to Mrs Smith if she was ever feeling down or sad she was always welcome to come back to this area in the garden to have a chat or just to sit and think. After the service Mrs Smith thanked me for my kindness and care on such a hard day to which I explained to her it was just natural to help her on a day like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. American Slavery American Freedom Summary In reviewing the book American Slavery, American Freedom, historian and author Edmund S. Morgan provides a chronological approach to the growth of slavery in North America. Morgan starts his journey with the first settlements in Virginia and continues until the start of the American Revolution. Morgan gives explanation of how ideals of freedom and English sense of superiority came to be a major stepping stone for independence and racism. Morgan s question of how a country that proclaims liberty, equality and religious virtue can at the same time foster the opposing ideals of slavery and subjugation is the underlying question throughout the book. Morgan puts the critical issue on display, broken down into four areas or books, to guide our understanding of colonial Virginia, the development of slavery, and the link between racism and equality. This highly regarded and scholarly book examines the fundamental paradox of freedom and the establishment of slavery in American history. The central question posed by Morgan is how a people could have developed the dedication to human liberty and dignity exhibited by the leaders of the American Revolution and at the same time have developed and maintained a system of labor that denied human liberty and dignity every hour of the day (Morgan 1975, 4 5). The location in Morgan s research is colonial Virginia, once the largest slave state and home of proponents of liberty. Morgan s detailed discussion of: the rise of race slavery over indentured servants and poor Englishmen as the solution to workforce growth, a ruling class bound to the English tradition of superiority, and acceptance of lifelong denial of human equality in the face of the fight for liberty demonstrates the paradox for the reader. While the first two sections of the book provide the historical context of the settling of the Virginia colony, the last two demonstrate Morgan s theory of how racism was developed to ensure a sustainable workforce. The rise of the labor theory demonstrates how slavery itself became a necessary business venture in Virginia while at the same time justified the Revolutionary concepts of liberty and equality for all white men. The belief that only the men, or white Englishmen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Freedom Of Press Amendment Research Paper I believe advertisements targeting children should not be banned in the United States. Doing so would be unconstitutional due to the Freedom of Press amendment. Advertisements can help children by promoting healthy eating habits while at the same time teaching them that advertisements are just ploys for businesses to get more money. Banning advertisements targeted towards children in the United States would violate the rights of many businesses across the nation. The Constitution along with its amendments are in place to protect every citizen and business in the nation. The Freedom of Press amendment was implemented for when cases like this one are brought up. Taking this right away would upset the balance in this country and possibly ... • 39. Basic Forms Of Business Organization Three basic forms of business organization are sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. Sole proprietorship is the simplest form of business organization in which there is only one owner (Cheeseman, 2015, p. 570). Single person is responsible for all debts, liabilities, and obligations, as well as unlimited liability for business operations. If the owner is unsuccessful and acquires debt, creditors can pursue legal action and acquire access to personal bank accounts, real estate, and other assets by the court order to repay person s debt obligations. Owners of sole proprietorships cannot raise capital by selling shares that represent stakeholder interest in the business. The owner reports all income and expenses in personal tax return. The business terminates upon withdrawal or an owner s death. The owner can sell the business and by doing so, will lose the ownership. Advantages of sole proprietorship include freedom of decisions, tax breaks, ease to start, ownership of all profits, being taxed once as a personal income of the owner, and lack of government compliance. Disadvantages of sole proprietorship include unlimited liability, very limited sources of production, and difficulty to raise capital. According to Cheeseman (2015), general partnership is an association of two or more persons to carry on as co owners of a business for profit (p. 572). The rights and duties of partners are established in the partnership agreement and by law such as Uniform ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
