A Comparison Of Mark Twain And Mark Twain
Nelson Mandela once said, Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change
the world. As the world grew, Mark Twain and Langston Hughes became writers, poets, and so on.
With the knowledge that Hughes and Twain had, they made impacts on the world. However, the
ability that these two men had allowed them to be motivational historical figures. Still today, their
works and ideas for writing are still helpful to other writers. As writers, these two had fluent and
intellectual minds, they did not give up. So therefore, with Twain and Hughes being such prominent
figures with immaculate writing capabilities, their masterpieces can be compared.
Twain said, ...it is good to begin life poor; it is good to begin life rich these are wholesome; but to
begin it prospectively rich! The man who has not experienced it [poverty] cannot imagine the curse
of it ( Mark TwainFun Facts 2). As life started for Twain, he went through many obstacles. In
addition, Mark Twain started writing short stories that evolved over time. Not all people in the
world have the most wealthiest lifestyle, Twain, on the other hand, was born 2 months premature
and also had to deal with poor health for ten years of his life. Mark Twain had no one to turn to
for inspiration or motivation. Twain left school to become a printer s apprentice( Mark Twain
Biography 2). Not to mention, Mark Twain wrote in a manner that society could relate. For most of
his life up until he was an adult

This Way For The Gas, Ladies And Gentlemen By Tadeusz...
The Truth Within the Fiction
It is the camp law: people going to their death must be deceived to the very end, This is the only
permissible form of charity.
This quote was pulled from a segment of the short story, This Way for the Gas, Ladies and
Gentlemen. Alone, it is merely just a few disturbing words that may give the warm hearted reader
some shivers. But behind these words is a detailed narrative of one day within the gruesome,
horrific, violent, Nazi concentration camps; that would give even a cold hearted reader shivers.
Tadeusz Borowski, the author of this fictional short story, uses his experiences from being held in a
Nazi ran concentration camp, to deliver a detailed first person narrative of what transpired in Nazi
Germany. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We are introduced to this on both page 36 and 37 when the reader sees the S.S officer
demanding order. On the last paragraph of 36 we see the S.S officer talking to the Canada men
saying, Whoever takes gold, or anything at all besides food, will be shot for stealing Reich
property? Understood? Verstanden? Borowski intentionally leaving the German spelling of
understood (verstanden) is just another way used to allow the reader to become captured into
Nazi Germany. This is seen throughout the story when 1st person dialog is being used, really
allowing the reader to feel as if they are being ordered in the moment and adding more suspense
to the command. However, the most powerful dialog comes between the narrator and an income
prisoner. As a prisoner is getting off the train he timidly asks Borowski s narrator, Sir, what s
going to happen to us? This is when he lies and says, ...I don t know, I don t understand Polish.
The reader then learns that man will be executed when the lines, It is the camp law: people going
to their death must be deceived to the very end, This is the only permissible form of charity. are

words become that much heavier. Now the reader is holding the burden of not telling the prisoner

Such practice contributes to prosperity of inertia and conservatism. Another negative effect of
ritualization is that there is much attention to external protocol aspects of ritual. Of course,
ceremonity during official events is not an element of only Korean culture, however, it is quite
noticeable that Korean pay a lot of attention to such kind of elements. The combination of hierarchy
and formalism generates a developed system of many conventional symbols that indicate to which
particular system and status a certain person belongs. For many Korean schools, institutions and
even private firms it is normal to have uniforms as a special form of belongingness. The

Disadvantages Of Incremental Budgeting
Incremental budget
Incremental budgeting is a process that is mainly concerned with the incremental (or marginal)
adjustments to the current budgeted allowance. This method can be used by Excellent Year Ltd if
they are not having any major changes compared to the previous year.
Advantages of incremental budgeting
Incremental budgeting is easily understood (as it is retrospective), makes marginal changes and
secures agreement through negotiation. It is administratively straightforward (and therefore cheap)
and allows policy makers to concentrate of the key areas of change. Incremental budgeting is
particularly useful where outputs are difficult to define/quantify; and it is stable and, therefore,
changes are gradual.
Disadvantages of incremental budgeting
Incremental budgeting is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is then possible to see the department s performance in the capacity levels. As long as the
company doesn t go over full capacity, fixed cost will not fluctuate. Using flexible budgeting is
possible when the product demand varies.
Flexible budgets separate the fixed and variable costs, which then allows for budgets to be set
automatically to an activity level. Thus, variances between actual costs and budgeted costs are set
for volume fluctuations before differences due to price and quantity factors are computed. At first,
flexible budgets are used to accurately measure performance because they compare actual costs for
a given output with the budgeted costs for the same level of output. The bad thing of a flexible
budget is that, by not allowing the manager to insert set figures, it is also difficult to estimate.
Instead of looking at an estimate of what to expect financially, the manager is left looking at a
range of estimates. Excellent Year Ltd should adopt fixed budgets when its demand is

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Market Pioneering
2.2.2 Market pioneering
Market pioneering has some overlap with the other sub variable pioneering orientation. Covin et
al., (2000) state that market pioneering is represented by a specific form of entrepreneurial
behavior. This form of behavior is represented by an organization that proactively creates or is a
first mover in a certain product market field. Companies that actively engage in market pioneering
are operating in an entrepreneurial way in a sense that they exploit certain market opportunities and
by the fact that they redefine how the competitions have to adjust to the company s pioneering
standards (Covin et al., 2000).
William and Fornell (1985) define a market pioneer as a company that is the first in developing
products or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Intel actively searches for new opportunities in different (chip) markets, and when these new
markets after a while are getting more and more established, Intel protects its market share by

Focussing on the organizational level, research argues that in order to pursue exploratory innovation
, the business departments are supposed to be decentralized with loose cultures and have to be
relatively small (Benner Tushman, 2003). Startups more or less all meet those characteristics. This
should mean that the possibility to present ideas within business plan competitions could mostly be
exploratory in nature. There is no business structure more flexible and loose as a startup.
Exploratory innovation compared to pioneering orientation and market pioneering should be seen
as a balanced approach of both concepts. It tries to explain the internal as well as the external
environment by focussing on a radical innovation of its product but at the same time also respecting
the market demand and emerging customer

Differences Of Ashoke And Ashima In The Namesake
Ashima in The Namesake remembers her family after giving birth to her baby boy. She seems to
be happy for her new born baby and this shows that she has no problem with new American
identity. But soon she craves for Indian style celebrations in the hospital. Ashoke and Ashima both
miss their family life in India. Their transparent and unproblematic identities become problematic
when Ashima requests Ashoke to finish his degree as soon as possible because she wants to go
back. She tells Ashoke that she does not want her son to grow up in America. I am saying I don t
want to raise Gogol alone in this country. It s not right. I want to go back (22).
This desire deeply affects their identities and their situation becomes difficult. On the surface their
identities are clear because they are adopting new identities and forgetting the old ones. But in
reality they are unable to forget their older identities. Identities of immigrants are not transparent;
they are unclear, creating problems for them.

Never Let Me Go Cloning
Cloning is the process of replicating biological tissue and cells, resulting in identical genetic copies.
In recent years, the possibility of human cloning has led to many controversies; these controversies
have become the focus of several novels that include imaginary characters as clones. Written by
Kazuo Ishiguro, the novel Never Let Me Goportrays the life of human clones in a bleak world
through the eyes of Kathy, where the sole purpose of the clones lives is to donate their organs.
Clearly, the human clones are known by all members of the society, but they are not treated with
dignity and respect like other humans. The human clones possess no human rights from the
moment of their birth . Furthermore, the characters struggle with finding... Show more content on

For instance, Kathy and Tommy learn the possibility of deferral which allows two clones to
delay the process of donations if they can prove they are truly in love. However, when they go to
the home of Miss Emily, they are told that the deferrals are purely an imagination of the students.
Since Tommy and Kathy are denied, they decide to spend their precious but little time together
peacefully; they give up right away as they have been raised to believe that obeying the
guardians is the natural way of living their lives. Even if they have an opinion how they desire to
live, their lives are set out for them no matter how much they dream (Ishiguro). As an illustration,
Ruth, Kathy s best friend, dreams of being an office worker, though her dream is proven to be
shallow and unachievable. By the end of the novel, Ruth also puts aside the past and her hopes for
the future; calmly, she waits for her donations and completion. In short, the life of the human clones
are chosen before they exist, and they have no choice in how to live and end their

How Organizational Change Is The Transformation And...
Examining organisational change, we can see that it is the transformation and development within
an organization which includes the structure, work methods, or work culture. It is when people
attain new behavior in order to adapt to their environment (Pullen, 1993). This occurs because there
may be some adjustments which leave many businesses no choice but to change; for example,
adjustments in consumer demands, legal factors, economy, and competitors. A major aspect which
triggers change is organisational innovation. According to McWilliams (2013, p.111), innovation is
being able to put into place new creative ideas. To put this into context, we are going to use

This results in an introduction of a dominant design; the most popular choice amongst customers. If
the dominant design becomes a success, it may create a technological lockout, where companies
may find it extremely strenuous to sell their products, or it may result in incremental change.
Incremental change consists of improving the dominant design, and when the organization forms
new ideas (innovate) on how to better improve and manufacture the product.
Technology has a life cycle. Initially, a new technology is introduced and this is a result of
organisational innovation. When the cycle concludes, technology is therefore replaced by a more
up to date technology. According to McWilliams (2013, p.111), vast amounts of research were
conducted to propose that many technology cycles are based on the S curve patthern of innovation
. It is a model which depicts how new technology replaces old technology. The S curve can also be
understood by innovation streams. Innovation streams go into further depth about the different
stages the life cycles of technologies. As previously mentioned, it first starts off with technological
discontinuity. Living in the 21st century, technology is constantly advancing at a rapid rate. With
a broad range of skillsets from every industry and through contemporary science, we are able to
produce technology in all kinds of ways as well as to introduce various creative ideas. Advances in

Apostles Of Disunion Analysis

Charles Dew s Apostles Of Disunion
The central thesis of this book is that the secession commissioners that were sent Deep South to
other slave states in the winter of 1860 1861 played a major role in defending as well as urging
people to subscribe to their ideology and follow them out of the Union. This thesis helps in giving
insights in the South s real intention, which can be argued out that it was to defend its slave trade
culture that the North was totally against hence the use of secession as a means of convincing
people. Even though the historians mostly ignore these men that were involved in the secession,

This is very vital as it helps one to understand their real intention prior to going to the war and if
it had any impact on their perception of things. The nature of the text also makes it easy for the
target audience to grasp what they are being told. To begin with most of the students do not
really like very long and detailed books, for this reason the author that is Dew makes the text to
be just eight pages this makes it very easy for majority of the target audience to read it clearly as
well as it evokes their real intention to clearly interact with the content this is explained the fewer
number of pages. The style of writing is another key thing that makes it very easy for anyone to
understand the text used in this particular case. It is very easy and jargon free. This makes it very
easy for both scholars and members of the general public to interact with it without challenges. The
representative documents are well chosen in that they can start off conversations among people.
There are various themes that are well outline in this book, some of these themes include the one on
secession and its impact, another one is the theme of slavery and slave trade and finally the theme
of war is also much highlighted. Depending on one s level technicality as well as understanding,
the three themes may be able to be viewed in various aspects. The existence of appendix and a
minimum of notes make it appealing to the students more so for the classroom

Graphene Is A Potential Candidate Material
Graphene is a hexagonal two dimensional (2D) monolayer of honeycomb lattice packed carbon
structure that was discovered and successfully isolated from bulk graphite just a few years ago [1].
It is continuously receiving attention from the research community due to its outstanding
mechanical, thermal and electrical properties [2]. Due to its fascinating properties, grapheneis
emerging as a potential candidate material for enormous nano technological applications such as
memory devices [3], nano sensors [4], nano actuators [5], field effect transistors (FFT) [3], gigahertz
oscillators [6], energy production and storage [7], clean energy devices [3] and room temperature
humidity sensing applications [8] etc. In addition to these applications, graphene also attracts
prodigious attention as strengthening element in polymer based composites because it was reported
to be the strongest material with outstanding elastic properties and high intrinsic strength [9 13].
Apparently, the important of these features depends on the structural perfection of the hexagonal
graphene lattice and strong in plane sp2 bond between carbonatoms. Characterization of the
mechanical properties of graphene is essential both from a technological perspective for its reliable
applications and from a fundamental interest to understanding its deformation physics [14 16]. In

Doroids Dream Of Electric Sheep Character Analysis

morality tests that the main character, Rick Deckard, experiences, and how he grows as a character
to discover what being humanreally means. Simple things such as being a bounty hunter and killing

has an overflowing abundance of is empathy, but gets none in return. Unlike Phil Resch, there is
not one thing that he does not care for, living or not. But, people look down on this trait that
Isidore possess, they see it as a major disability not to be able to see the difference between man
and machine, but really it s a gift. Isidore has so much empathy and compassion he has no room
to discriminate. Soon someone moves into his apartment building. Her name is Pris Stratton,
and she happens to be an android seeking safety from the bounty hunters, and eventually her
acquaintances Roy and Irmgard Baty move in as well. Isidore, with his copious amount of
empathy, does not care whether or not they re androids, he s just glad to have companions, and
is more than willing to help protect them. But as time passes, we, as readers discover that these
androids live up to the expectations to, well, stereotypical androids. These androids that Isidore is
caring for only care for themselves, they care nothing for Isidore, especially Roy Baty. I vote we

The Removal of Prayer from Public Schools Essay
The removal of prayer from public schools is a very controversial and misunderstood debate. This
paper will address the history of the debate, common myths and misunderstandings, and the current
trends.
History of the Debate:
Public schools originated in 1647 in the Massachusetts Bay Colony and soon spread across New
England. They began with an elementary school for every fifty families and a Latin school for
every one hundred families. Their mission was to ensure that Puritan children learn to read the
Bible and receive basic information about their Calvinist religion. 1 By 1840, conflict was at a
climax in New York City. The public schoolshad taken on a common school education that included

New York City adopted a 22 word Regent s Prayer as part of their Statement on Moral and Spiritual
Training in the Schools.
In 1962, the United States Supreme Court was called upon to interpret the Establishment Clause of
the First Amendment to the United States Constitution citing the Regent s Prayer in violation
(Engel v. Vitale). In a 6 to 1 decision (with 2 remaining neutral) the Supreme Court decided that the
Regent s Prayer, which was to be said aloud by each student in the presence of a teacher at the
beginning of each school day, was unconstitutional: Almighty God, we acknowledge our
dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our
Country. Mr. Justice Black delivered the opinion of the court:
The State s use of the Regents prayer in its public school system breaches the constitutional wall of
separation between Church and State...The Establishment Clause does not depend upon any
showing of direct governmental compulsion and is violated by the enactment of laws which
establish an official religion whether those laws operate directly to coerce non observing

International Accounting Standards Board And Financial...
It all began on October 2002 where the International Accounting Standards Board and Financial
Accounting Board signed a memorandum of understanding that has come to be known as the
Norwalk Agreement . Here the two boards met and decided to make their standards fully
compatible and put it into practice and once they conquer their goal, they have to make sure it is
maintained. But before I divulge into details regarding the future and presently achieved goals of
the convergence, I would like to throw some light on the history and background of the two boards
involved. International Accounting Standards were formed between 1973 and 2001 by the board of

Rhetorical Strategies In Flamingos By Jennifer Price
In the pink flamingo s passage, Jennifer Price cleverly and effectively describes how American
Society has always behaved and the virtues they hold important. Price successfully uses multiple
rhetorical strategies to convince her audience how America is infatuated with claiming a position
where the are regarded as high class and successful. First and foremost one of her most clear
strategies that was the basis of her work was using repetition of certain words such as pink and
flamingos . One might misinterpret that Price was merely speaking about the bird being a pleasant

Quite a long time ago characterized as forlorn and unpleasant , Shoreditch has developed a wide
margin in the course of recent years. Prior to the 1990s, it had excessively numerous distribution

The adoptive family may ignore or make little effort to incorporate into the family the cultural
heritage of the adopted child (Adamec,136). This decision to leave the culture behind, outside the
family, does not suggest that the child is neither accepted nor loved or cherished as their own.
However, when the adoptive family also adopts and embraces the cultural identity of the child s
birth culture, it enriches not only the adopted child but also the entire family and extended family
as well. Another factor is attachment is the child s age when they were adopted. The older the
child when adopted, the risk of social maladjustment was found to be higher (Simon, 188). Most
children when adopted at younger ages have a better chance to adjustment normally, than children
adopted over the age of ten. An infant learns to trust quicker, than a ten year old child does, but
all of this depends on each case. Developmental theorist Eric Erikson, discusses trust issues in his
theory of development. Erikson s first stage of development is Trust versus Mistrust , which states
if needs are dependably met, infants develop a sense of basic trust (Myers, 149). For an adopted
child, placing the child early in a key ingredient to successful attachment of child to parent and vice
versa (Cox, 1). Such an attachment, which is strong among the majority of families throughout the

Hot Flat And Crowded Summary
Hot, Flat, and Crowded written by Thomas L. Friedman examines our need to become a sustainable
country in not just the environment, but also in our financial markets. Friedman argues that the
world is getting hot as a result of global warming (8). Our planet s average temperature is rising.
The increase can be attributed to humans and their use of large scale manufacturing that began with
the Industrial Revolution when manual labor was starting to be replaced by machinery (68).
Friedman s next argues that world is getting flat due to the increase in high consuming middle
classes brought on by technological, market and geopolitical events (8; 66). The combination of
several factors including the invention of personal computers and the Internet, changes in
transmission protocols, collapse of Communism, the Berlin Wall, and the Soviet Union led to...

When flat and crowded intersect you get the energy supply and demand problem. David Douglas,
a chief sustainability officer for a corporation used this analogy: if you give 1 billion people a 60
watt incandescent light bulb and they all use their light bulbs four hours a day, that s 10,000 watts
at any given moment. You would still need about twenty new 500 megawatt coal burning plants
just so the next 1 billion people can turn on their lights (68). We also have to keep in mind that
burning coal releases CO2 and other pollutants into the air which then effects global warming. We
have now brought in the concept of hot. Friedman also gives the example of the cities Doha and
Dalian who have rapidly grown sprouting a mini Manhattan leading to much higher energy
consumptions. He called this high consumption an America lifestyle saying that affluenza, the
unsustainable addition to economic growth was spreading all over the world

Cultural Revolution Mao
A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall
Evaluate the accuracy of this statement in relation to the causes of the Chinese cultural revolution
A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall. This statement by
Che Guevara suggests that in order for a revolution to occur, the leaders must not hesitate, but
rather, they should take immediate and effective actions. This quote is particularly accurate for the
Chinese Cultural Revolution, because the main leader of the Revolution Mao Zedong was able to
manipulate the public, thus enabling him to bring about a revolution. The Cultural Revolution
occurred as a result of the failures in the Great Leap Forward, and officially, Mao claimed that the
goal of the Chinese Cultural Revolution is to build a society surrounding the proletariats by
bringing back revolutionary spirit. However, it became increasingly clear that Mao s real intentions
were rather personal, as he used the Cultural Revolution to re establish his power as the Chairman
of the Communist Party of China.
The Cultural Revolution was Mao s response to the disasters of the Great Leap Forward, during
which at least 30 million Chinese people starved to death in the span of 5 years (Ben Walsh). In
1959, Mao admitted that I also have an indirect share of the blame... I don t want other people to
shirk their responsibility. (Phillip Short). This suggests that even though Mao was aware that his

1. Various things echo practices in Western religion. The Noble Eightfold Path for instance, echoes
the Ten Commandments of the Christianity. They both instruct people on what and whatnot to do,
and give them a guideline for everyday life. For example, the Noble Eightfold path instructs
people to have Right Conduct, which is similar to the Ten Commandments saying not to kill or
steal. The Four Noble Truths tell about the evils of the World and how to avoid them, just like the
Bible. Also, the Bible tells Christians how to please God and eventually reach Heaven, just as the

Politics And Economic Development Of Angola
Politics play a crucial role in the success of any economy. The field of political economy is, thus,
crucial in demonstrating the manner politics, law and institutions alter the course a country s
economic development. Politics is an integral part of an economy since it is used to allocate scarce
resources within a state. Ideally, political economyrefers to a mixture of sociology, politics,
economics, history and philosophy, which integrates adequate evidence to examine how individuals
exist within societies. Although the partnership between China and Angola dates back to 1960s and
1970s, over the recent past, Africa, particularly Angola, has increasingly become an attractive site
for Chinese investments. This report reveals that China has been at the forefront in spearheading

Literary Analysis of The Dancing Bear and Planting a...
Analysis of William Frederick Witherington s short story The Dancing Bear
1.
The initial impression gathered from the passage is bizarre and very dreamlike, perhaps chiefly
because it is an excerpt from a novel or a larger literary work. Upon further analysis, the passage
develops an eerily violent tone. The events appear to take place in the home of Dieter Bethge,
during a stormy night while he is sleeping. Immediately the rain is described as falling with sodden
fury , introducing the negative tone. Shortly after this description, Mrs. Hax adopts the persona of
an animal stalking its prey. She methodically trimmed the glass out of the frame eerily without
emotion, despite the fact that she is on her way to cause harm to Dieter, as ... Show more content on

Again, after the paragraphs describing Dieters dream end, the passage is written in a dreamlike
manner. It seems that Bethge mistakes Mrs. Hax for the dancing bear, which is strange because her
actions in the first paragraph are nothing like the graceful actions of the bear, and she does not want
to fold him onto the fragrant, brilliant fur in a warm embrace but rather harm him.
Analysis of Dana Gioia s Poem Planting a Sequoia 1. (b) The tone of the Planting a Sequoia
prose passage is reflectively melancholy. It is not one of pure agonizing sadness, yet there are
underling depressing qualities to the author s words. The purpose of the passage is to describe
the death an individual, presumably the first born son of the narrator. The narrator is speaking
to the Sequoia that he is planting. Each of the stanzas switch from a mood of death and a mood
of life. The rain blacken[ing] the horizon , the dull gray skies and the old year coming to an end
all work together to create the melancholy mood. The following stanza switches to a newer and
livelier mood, including the celebration of the first son s birth, earth having more life to bear , the
description of a green sapling rising among the twisted apple boughs and the promise of new fruit
in other autumns . The promise of ne fruit describes the symbolic purpose of the tree. Although a
life is lost, there is hope for future fruit , or life in the future. The third stanza begins with the

However, word study and access to Hebrew and Greek are completely new to me. Using the

Evaluate The Dopamine Hypothesis
The key function of antipsychotic drugs as recognised by various researchers, is the significant
interference with brain dopamine function. This is underpinned by the hypothesis that symptoms of
schizophrenia are produced from increased activity of the neurotransmitter dopamine. This essay,
therefore discusses and examines the function and mode of action of these antipsychotics drugs
with a view to critically identifying whether schizophreniais a disorder of dopaminefunction.

principal explanatory model of antipsychotic drug action. The formulation of dopamine hypothesis

However, as highlighted by Videbeck et al (2014), the therapeutic mechanism of action is only
partially understood. Typical antipsychotic drugs such as chlorpromazine, haloperidol, act as
antagonist at dopamine receptors (D2, D3, D4), which are situated in central pathways of the brain.
Brennan Gamble (2006), highlighted reports supporting the clinical potency of typical
antipsychotics which is determined by the extent to which they block dopamine receptors. This
action of blocking D2 receptors lead to effective treatment of target symptoms of schizophrenia but
induces many extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) such as Parkinson, acute dystonic reactions,
akathisia, tardive dyskinesia and worsen negative symptoms in some patients. In as much as
blocking the dopamine receptor is acknowledged explanation of the EPS of typical antipsychotic
drugs, some controversy exists in relation to extension of the mechanism to explain the
antipsychotic effect. The core controversy is based on the inability to link the relationship between
EPS and therapeutic effects. Some typical antipsychotic drugs have shown fewer parkinsonian
effects than would have been expected from their clinical efficacy and explanation to this is that
such drugs have in built antiparkinsonian as they have high anticholinergic potency. According to
Crow (1980), considering this explanation makes the relationship between dopamine antagonism
and the therapeutic effectiveness more compelling. Brennan Gamble (2006), cited Gournay Gray
(1998), highlighting that about 30% of clients with schizophrenia do not respond to typical
antipsychotics or experience severe EPS, this means that the rest 70% respond to typical
antipsychotic drugs and may experience

Taking a Look at the Iranian Revolution
Revolution means to bring a change in something. In politics, it basically means to over throw a
government with another government system. There are many revolutions took place in history
and the Iranian revolution was one of them. Iranian revolution brought a big change in the Iranian
society by over throwing the Shah s government and establishing a new system called Islamic

the one of the most positive revolution which is ever took place in Iran.
There are many names for Iranian revolution which took place in 1979. One of the named for this

Driverless Driving
During the last 30 years, the global car market has undergone significant changes in driver
experience due to technological progress (Knight, 2012). Today, a typical middle class car comes
with standard features, such as power windows, automatic gearbox and electronic stability program
(Handmer, 2014; Knight, 2012). High end automobiles can be bought with intelligent features like
automatic start stop mechanism enhanced cruise control, active lane assistance and self parking
technology (Handmer, 2014; Knight 2014). These innovations make driving more comfortable, but

driving features will offer an overall better option than driving themselves. Taking into account that
failure of consumer acceptance entails considerable costs to companies (Chiesa Frattini, 2011). It is
essential for organizations to understand under which circumstances customers accept autonomous
cars. Acceptance and future use of new technologies are frequently subject to tradeoffs between
uncertain benefits and costs of adopting the new invention (Venkatesh, Morris, Davis, Davis,
2003). Several studies have researched the acceptance of driver assistant systems (DAS) (Adell,
2009; Arndt, 2004; Arndt Engeln, 2008; Huth Gelau, 2013). However, so far no studies have
explored users acceptance of fully autonomous driving

Price successfully uses multiple rhetorical strategies to convince her audience how America is infatuated with claiming a position where the are regarded as high class and successful. First and foremost one of her most clear strategies that was the basis of her work was using repetition of certain words such as pink and flamingos . One might misinterpret that Price was merely speaking about the bird being a pleasant icon therefore assuming she is a fan of the bird but in reality she repeats those words to emphasize how the bird represents brightness and extravagance which is directly ... The adoptive family may ignore or make little effort to incorporate into the family the cultural heritage of the adopted child (Adamec,136). This decision to leave the culture behind, outside the family, does not suggest that the child is neither accepted nor loved or cherished as their own. However, when the adoptive family also adopts and embraces the cultural identity of the child s birth culture, it enriches not only the adopted child but also the entire family and extended family as well. Another factor is attachment is the child s age when they were adopted. The older the child when adopted, the risk of social maladjustment was found to be higher (Simon, 188). Most children when adopted at younger ages have a better chance to adjustment normally, than children adopted over the age of ten. An infant learns to trust quicker, than a ten year old child does, but all of this depends on each case. Developmental theorist Eric Erikson, discusses trust issues in his theory of development. Erikson s first stage of development is Trust versus Mistrust , which states if needs are dependably met, infants develop a sense of basic trust (Myers, 149). Friedman examines our need to become a sustainable country in not just the environment, but also in our financial markets. Friedman argues that the world is getting hot as a result of global warming (8). Our planet s average temperature is rising. The increase can be attributed to humans and their use of large scale manufacturing that began with the Industrial Revolution when manual labor was starting to be replaced by machinery (68). Friedman s next argues that world is getting flat due to the increase in high consuming middle classes brought on by technological, market and geopolitical events (8; 66). The combination of several factors including the invention of personal computers and the Internet, changes in transmission protocols, collapse of Communism, the Berlin Wall, and the Soviet Union led to... You would still need about twenty new 500 megawatt coal burning plants just so the next 1 billion people can turn on their lights (68). We also have to keep in mind that burning coal releases CO2 and other pollutants into the air which then effects global warming. We have now brought in the concept of hot. You have to make it fall Evaluate the accuracy of this statement in relation to the causes of the Chinese cultural revolution A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall. This statement by Che Guevara suggests that in order for a revolution to occur, the leaders must not hesitate, but rather, they should take immediate and effective actions. This quote is particularly accurate for the Chinese Cultural Revolution, because the main leader of the Revolution Mao Zedong was able to manipulate the public, thus enabling him to bring about a revolution. The Cultural Revolution occurred as a result of the failures in the Great Leap Forward, and officially, Mao claimed that the goal of the Chinese Cultural Revolution is to build a society surrounding the proletariats by bringing back revolutionary spirit. However, it became increasingly clear that Mao s real intentions were rather personal, as he used the Cultural Revolution to re establish his power as the Chairman of the Communist Party of China. The Cultural Revolution was Mao s response to the disasters of the Great Leap Forward, during which at least 30 million Chinese people starved to death in the span of 5 years (Ben Walsh). The field of political economy is, thus, crucial in demonstrating the manner politics, law and institutions alter the course a country s economic development. Politics is an integral part of an economy since it is used to allocate scarce resources within a state. Ideally, political economyrefers to a mixture of sociology, politics, economics, history and philosophy, which integrates adequate evidence to examine how individuals exist within societies. The initial impression gathered from the passage is bizarre and very dreamlike, perhaps chiefly because it is an excerpt from a novel or a larger literary work. Upon further analysis, the passage develops an eerily violent tone. The events appear to take place in the home of Dieter Bethge, during a stormy night while he is sleeping. Immediately the rain is described as falling with sodden fury , introducing the negative tone. Shortly after this description, Mrs. Hax adopts the persona of an animal stalking its prey. Analysis of Dana Gioia s Poem Planting a Sequoia 1. (b) The tone of the Planting a Sequoia prose passage is reflectively melancholy. It is not one of pure agonizing sadness, yet there are underling depressing qualities to the author s words. The purpose of the passage is to describe the death an individual, presumably the first born son of the narrator. The narrator is speaking to the Sequoia that he is planting. Each of the stanzas switch from a mood of death and a mood of life. The rain blacken[ing] the horizon , the dull gray skies and the old year coming to an end all work together to create the melancholy mood. The following stanza switches to a newer and livelier mood, including the celebration of the first son s birth, earth having more life to bear , the description of a green sapling rising among the twisted apple boughs and the promise of new fruit in other autumns . The promise of ne fruit describes the symbolic purpose of the tree. Although a life is lost, there is hope for future fruit , or life in the future. The third stanza begins with the ... Typical antipsychotic drugs such as chlorpromazine, haloperidol, act as antagonist at dopamine receptors (D2, D3, D4), which are situated in central pathways of the brain. Brennan Gamble (2006), highlighted reports supporting the clinical potency of typical antipsychotics which is determined by the extent to which they block dopamine receptors. This action of blocking D2 receptors lead to effective treatment of target symptoms of schizophrenia but induces many extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) such as Parkinson, acute dystonic reactions, akathisia, tardive dyskinesia and worsen negative symptoms in some patients. In as much as blocking the dopamine receptor is acknowledged explanation of the EPS of typical antipsychotic drugs, some controversy exists in relation to extension of the mechanism to explain the antipsychotic effect. The core controversy is based on the inability to link the relationship between EPS and therapeutic effects.
