Millions of years ago most of the land on Earth was covered with swamps and forests. As trees
and plants died, they would sink to the bottom of the swamps. As more trees and plants died their
remains would bury dead plants and organic matter underneath them creating layers of dead plants.
As the layers of rotting material build up in the forests and swamps it is compressed by the heavy
weight of the plants and water. This weight with high temperatures removes the moisture from the
organic decaying matter. This creates peat. Over millions of years peat was covered by sand and
clay and other minerals. These sediments changed into rocks called sedimentary rocks.
Rock continued to pile up and compress the peat. This caused the water to be squeezed from the
peat. Over millions of year this process turned peat into fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil and coal.

Patenting Genes of Organism
The advancement of technology has lead to many scientists conducting more experiments with
gene modification. This has lead to scientists to isolate certain genes that may cause a certain
disease, thus modified genes may change the organism in a particular way. It may help farmers
with crop cultivation and reduce crop infestation. It may also help farmers to be able to cultivated
crops or keep animals that are prawn to drought resistance. Before, I go in details explain the
importance of why businesses that develop modified organisms should be able to preserve their
property rights by patenting such organisms or why such organism should not be patentable. I
would like to briefly explain the history of patenting. For over two hundred years living organisms
have been excluded from patent laws; life forms were considered a product of nature and not a
human invention. The non patentable status of living organisms changed with the 1980 landmark

4 decision that a strain of bacteria that had been modified by the insertion of new genes was
patentable because it was not naturally occurring. The foreign genes gave the bacteria the ability to

believe that they have many similarities with each other and there large sources of evidence that

A zero voltage and zero current switching full bridge (FB) converter with secondary resonance is
another method in this primary side of the converter have FB insulated gate bipolar transistors,

loop, three phase stator current information is required. The current sensors and the associated
accessories increase the complexity of the system, cost and size of the motor drives and decrease
the reliability of the system and also more number of power electronics switches means more
switching losses and costly. Therefore to overcome this problem a new drive system is proposed
which uses four switches and two current sensor, less switches and less current sensors means less

Metal air batteries have been intensively explored as an alternative future energy storage and
conversion systems owing to their intrinsically high energy and power densities, the relatively
mature research on air electrode, and cost effective composition of non noble fuel electrode, as
well as in response to the high energy demand for portable devices and electric vehicles even
stationary power plants [1 5]. Of late, research into the metal air techniques has been focused on
Zn air (~1,000 Wh kg 1), Li air (~13,000 Wh kg 1), and Ge air (~1,500 Wh kg 1) batteries
because of its very high specific energy and energy density with open cell air cathode structure [3
6]. With these devices, however, the electrochemical energy could be stored in the stationary part
as form of sacrificial metal anode. This distinct architecture would make a limitation approach for
large scale commercialization unless the anode can provide good electrochemical reversibility and
high cyclic durability.
As a feasible alternative to continuous operation, recently, a high temperature liquid metal air
energy storage cell (LMAESC) in conjunction with a solid oxide electrolyte has been investigated
applying post transition metals such as In [7], Sn [7 17], Sb [18 25], Pb [7], and Bi [12] as a
sacrificial electrode, so called liquid metal anode (LMA). Since these liquid metals has relatively
low melting point, it can improve the anode polarization by incorporating liquid wetting materials

earliest reported scientific treatment of inventory systems, where the sum of inventory costs,

them (e.g., Andriolo et al., 2014). In contrast to the classical EOQ/EMQ model, just in time (JIT)
produces a product when needed and delivers it when wanted by customers. JIT considers inventory
as a waste to be reduced by producing in smaller lots more frequently, so fewer items are in the
pipeline (Bonney and Jaber, 2011). It also improves quality, productivity, responsiveness, machines
availability, workforce flexibility, space and equipment utilization, flow, and relationship with
suppliers (Cavinato, 1990; Jones, 1990; Mehra and Inman, 1992). JIT is based on continuous
improvement of which reducing setup time (cost) is its primary driver (Zangwill, 1987; Jones,
