With the introduction of Transgenders into sports, the society beings to understand
the true nature of what is really going on. There is a sense of awareness that
becomes of the society and the belief around Transgenders is lifted as they are

There were two professor name Robert Worley and Vidisha Worley that wanted to

deviance on care in the Texas prison. They conduct a survey questionnaire on five
hundred and one Texas prison employees. They found out every year there are
correctional officers that get fired from their job because of their deviant behavior at
work while they are working their eight hour shift. They also found out a lot of
sexual assault has been going on between the guards and inmates. The guards are

indicates that the tendency for officers not to rat also contributes to an enormous
amount of sexual abuse that is prevalent in female institutions and committed by

The ship sailed across an ocean of darkness. A black void in all directions: Forward,
backward, left, and right. There was no up or down. The ship s grey hull was barely
illuminated by the light it produced, isolating it from the surrounding veil of

darkness, the windows themselves seemed like individual objects, with several

changes to my life. I have learned a lot in my LET 1 year and besides that, I was
able to try out new things I never would ve. This program does indeed allow young
people to become citizens and I am very satisfied with the person I am today. I ve
learned so much about leadership and everything you must have in order to pertain
it. In addition, I ve also made many new friends and this is one of the very few
classes that I would talk about outside of school because I am very proud of being
a cadet to such an amazing battalion. JROTC allowed me to go through so much
and without it, I wouldn t have been able to open myself up and realize what my
dreams are and how to pursue them. JROTC has given me a more meaningful life
since I was able to find out what my goals are, what my strengths and weakness are,
as well as the kind of person that I should and want to be.
When I first joined this program, I was ready to drop out because I don t see myself
wearing the uniform, and in fact, I was worried about what others would think of me

The Importance Of Maths
For many students, maths is a language only spoken at school, but maths is a well
spoken language in my home. My mother s love for maths has inevitably infected
me with the desire to solve problems with logical reason. I feel that a solution to one
question in maths may open up more questions ranging in different domains of
mathematics. Maths has helped me to discover different ways to achieve solutions
through alternate thinking and this is reminiscent of everyday life, where it is
advantageous to use effective and more efficient routes to overcome problems. I find
that maths can be embedded into many aspects of life, e.g. using the Pythagoras
theorem to aid in designing a room. Also, in biology, to find the variation in the
distribution of a species, you can use standard deviation.
Maths encourages me to delve into divergent thinking. It thrills me that there is
always more to learn and the knowledge is never capped. Maths to me has acted as a
mechanism for calming my busy mind. For example, some people enjoy the
tranquillity of music, whereas my music is maths. Achieving the correct answer
whenever I complete a maths question brings me great satisfaction, which further
increases my motivation towards further learning. I have always thought that once
you find that numbers are easy to work with, you develop an appetite to learn more
about maths through practice it will stick in your mind forever.

Over the past month, we have been studying the concept of reading and writing in
different communities. To assess this, we have read two different texts. Richard
Rodriguez s the achievement of desire , from his autobiography Hunger of Memory ;
and Lucille McCarthy s A Stranger in Strange Lands: A College Student Writing
across the Curriculum from Research in the Teaching of English . Both answer key
questions regarding what it takes to become a great reader and writer, however,
from the reading that I have done, each one only answers one part of the question.
Rodriguez s main focus is in the aspect of reading, whereas McCarthy mainly
focuses on the writing portion. Both do a decent job of analyzing and putting forth
a view of how they believe a person can best perform in these environments. This
then allows us to use their concepts and create our own version, based on their
points of view. But why should we care? Most people at this level of academia will
have developed a system of writing that works for them, and will have a difficult
time breaking from it if they re process doesn t meet the criteria that Rodriguez, and
McCarthy put forth. The reason it s so important is because of implications these
ideas have. Both authors put forth concepts that are indirectly related to one another
and that are highly beneficial to all who will apply them. They will force you to

and cooperate with them? If there was a conflict, how would we fix it? The movie
Arrival, directed by Denis Villeneuve attempts to answer these questions.
The movie begins with an expert linguist Louise Banks, (Amy Adams) losing her
only daughter to cancer at a young age. This is an important key to the storyline,
but it gets set aside as soon as twelve gigantic unidentified space craft appear in
different places around the world. Within a day Louise is summoned by the United
States Military to decipher the language of the aliens. Shortly after arriving at the
base, Louise is sent into the large black shell along with a team of men and physics
specialist Ian Donnelly (Jeremy Renner). The door to the shell only opened every
eighteen hours. Once inside, the pod leads to a luminous chamber with a large glass
screen like a movie theater. On the other side of the glass emerged from the fog; two
squid like creatures that were later named Heptapods. Because the military did not
know the language of the aliens, they needed Louise to determine a way to
communicate with these creatures and figure out why they were here. Throughout

Butcher s Tale shows the rise of anti Semitism from a grassroots effect. Smith uses
newspapers, court orders, and written accounts to write the history and growth of anti
Semitism in a small German town. The book focuses on how anti Semitism was
spread by fear mongering, the conflict between classes, and also the role of the
government.

focused on a Christian butcher. Wilhelm Bruhn, the publisher of Die
Staatsburgerzeitung, then interfered by convincing Bernhard Masloff, a laborer, to
testify against a Jewish butcher. The story that Masloff gave would directly conflict
with the theory that the Inspector had formed. This created more subject matter that
the anti Semitic newspapers could use to fuel their tirade.
Smith also makes the argument that anti Semitism was a gateway for neighborly
disputes and personal grudges to develop into bigger conflicts. He presents two
arguments on the issue of class. In the first argument, he points out that a majority of
the people who came forward to accuse someone were in the lower class.
Additionally, the people who came forward were often poorly educated and
sometimes had mental issues. He explains that it was possible that poorer Christians
would condemn higher class Jews out of spite. An example that Smith provides was
in the conflict between Josef Rosenthal, a wealthy Jewish merchant, and his servant,
Margarete Radtke. Margarete went to the police and told them that her employer
