Marc Webb. This film is about Tom, a lovesick romantic who is blind sided when

days together to try to figure out where things went wrong.

girlfriend, Summer. Tom is retelling the story of how he met Summer in bits and
pieces. These pieces were essentially flashbacks. But in a way, they were transitions
that worked really well in the film because they used the amount of days he was
with Summer. So instead of having flashbacks all over the film with poor
transitional cues, the screenplay was written with the number of days that tied in
with the event for that certain day. This helped keep the emotions of the film intact

the major components of gasoline, a gasoline simulant, and an octane booster. GC
MS is an analytical method that separates mixtures into individual components and
uses mass spectrometry to identify each component by specific properties. (1) The
instrument used for this experiment was a Thermoscientific Trace 1310 GC MS.

straight chain alkane, trichloro(docosyl)silane. Two of the components identified in
the gas and gas simulant were also identified in the octane booster and both were
aromatic compounds, which would increase the octane rating. However, the two
different components identified in the octane booster were a branched alkane and a
straight chained alkane. The branched alkane would also help to increase the octane
rating, however, the straight chained alkane, trichloro(docosyl)silane is a low octane
compound which would lower the octane rating of the gasoline. (4) Therefore, the
commercial octane booster analyzed does not contain the proper molecules to
enhance the octane rating of a gasoline, and is just a gimmick.

back on his teenage years while telling a story from his past. In the story, the
narrator is invited to a party to deliver a speech, however when he arrives he is
forced to partake in the Battle Royal. Battle Royal is a chapter from Ellison s book
Invisible Man, which is about an African Americanteenager who grows up in a
society where he finds himself invisible, as did Ellison himself. In Ralph Ellison s
Battle Royal, the American flag tattoo, the blindfold, and the grandfather s deathbed
symbolize the overall message that the African Americans were dominated by the
whites.
The narrator of the story is invited to a party, where he is supposed to present his
speech in front of all the people who attend. At the party, the white men invite a
stripper to intimidate and scare the African American teenagers. The teenagers are
forced to stare at the white, blonde, naked woman that stands in front of them, with
no way out and not knowing how to react. While recalling the story from his past,
the narrator notices that the stripper has a tattoo of the American flag. The
American flag is particularly symbolic to this story, since it is placed on a white
woman. While being forced to stare at the naked woman at the party, the narrator
says, I wanted at one and the same time to run from the room, to sink through the
floor, or go to her and cover her from my eyes and the eyes of the others with my
body (Ellison). Even if they do have feelings for her, they are forbidden to act upon
them, since it was illegal to have mixed race relationships during the 20th century.

utilitarian. This paper will cover two subjects of discussion related to utility,
Bentham, and Mill. The first is a consideration of the way in which Bentham goes
about reconciling the ethical hedonist he promotes with the psychological egoistic
hedonism he endorses. The second is really three smaller issues: the way Bentham
and Mill would direct us to apply the principle of utility, how this is comparable to the
employment of the hedonistic calculus, and the possibility that the differences in
their views may make us come to different moral decisions.

different approach to writing historical books. He has collected and sifted through
virtually all mediums of Washington s life. Through his work I found a central theme
of how Washington s role and legacy has been manipulated by society. Lengel
displays the way writers, critics, and religious leaders changed George Washingtons
identity for their own personal benefits; they have altered his religious orientation
and his public image in both good and bad ways.
George Washington s religious beliefs have always been altered or unclear to the
American society. Lengel ponders, Washington considered attendance at religious
services to be a civic duty. He believed that morality and the unfettered practice of
religion ensured the prosperity of a well organized society (77). Washington was
only partially religious to please the common people. He was selfless in doing what
was in the best interest of his nation than himself. By taking the role of president, he
had to sacrifice his own beliefs. The Valley Forge prayer incident was commonly
disfigured by many. The story began when a Quaker, by the name of Isaac Potts, saw
Washington in prayer, according to Mason Locke Weems. After the initial story,
