Dark Fantasy Essay
Dark Fantasy is a hip hop song with classic verses and a captivating, expressive chorus similar to
Nas flow. But a more profound analysis illustrates that the song is a metaphor describing that Kanye
West is feeling like he is on top of the world, as a valued idol at the peak of his music career.
However, the larger themes within the song that flows throughout the album implies the
experiencing of dark fantasies, pursuing the American dream, evolving into the monster one would
never thought he would evolve into, the flashing lights that blind rather than brighten, falling in
love and then undervaluing the relationship, sensual exploits as a heartbreaking alternative for loss
of love, being lost in the labyrinth of the American lifestyle;... Show more content on

Followed by the intro is an abrupt disbelief, since most of Kanye s listeners do not anticipate
hearing this surprise on a hip hop compilation. The surprise is the vocal harmonies. After the
accords of Can we get much higher , the rhythm aggressively bangs into motion and Dark
Fantasy opens. I fantasized about this back in Chicago/ Mercy, mercy, that Murcielago, West
raps, apparently astonished that he accomplished all he ever desired. For the rest of Dark
Fantasy, Kanye is liberally combining the luxuries ( Mercy, mercy me, that Murcielago ) and the
existential ( Hey teacher, teacher/Tell me how do you respond to the students?/And refresh the
page and restart the memory?/And re spark the soul and rebuild the energy? ). Kanye West
identifies himself as a leader, but contemplates on how to develop the world into a better one,
specifically for the Black Community. Much of Kanye s expressive music has embodied the
destruction of boundaries that enforce racial

Cultural Analysis Assignment
When I began this assignment, I knew I wanted to try out a culture I know practically nothing
about. I love Chinese and Japanese food, so I decided to turn in the direction of sitting at a
restaurant with Chinese/Asian cuisine. This was a simple sit down dinner that did not occur on
any special day like holidays. The setting that I chose was a Cantonese restaurant located in
Elmwood Park called New Star Restaurant . While I walked in, I noticed a variety of gift items
such as porcelain turtles, buddhas, Maneki Neko(welcoming cat), pandas, etc. There was a lot of
red and gold decor in the interior of the restaurant. The people of this culture are very strong
believers in good fortune, good health, and family. The red means success in relationships... Show

I have people in my family that have many negative perceptions about the asian culture. For
example, I have a family member that refuses to eat Chinese food out of fear of eating dog meat.
This is very irrational, and I do not have perceptions like these. In my own culture, we eat mostly
with our without hands. I have had a server bring me a washcloth to wash my hands before I
start eating to prevent bacterial contamination. I still noticed the integrity within this culture and
my own. I have met some amazing servers, and this one was no exception. I think the foods are
very different, but they do not mean one culture is better than the other. I do have the option to
display my own ethnicity in some situations because it can be uncomfortable to expose my
differences in certain environments. It can be because of danger or fear of being out of my
comfort zone. I think my ethnicity is not as strongly expressed as the one I observed because
my culture is much more minimal. We are not into attention to detail, or large displays of
culture. I feel that it is more likely to move away from expressing these aspects of our social
identity because in modern day, people are targeted for their differences. I think this is influenced
by leaders in power that generate a reason for hate among all those that are not Caucasian. By this,
I mean president Donald Trump and his administration. I think that as he continued to stir up
emotions of hate, people will be less likely to want to be who they are and display their culture

What Did The World Economic Downturn Of 2008-09 Boost...
Assessment 2: CHANGING BUSINESS ENVIROMENT
Q1. To what extent did the world economic downturn of 2008 09 boost China s position as a world
leader?
A1. China began its 2008, fiscal year with a continuing growth rate in double digits until the Global
Financial Crisis struck the world leaving the United States and the Europe economically wounded.
Though during the phase it was assumed China would be immune to the GFC, however the banks
collapsing in the Europe and the America dragged China into a financial mess itself. The recorded
GDP growth for the fiscal years 2009 10 were 9.6% and 9.2% respectively. (Li, Willett Zhang,

policies and actions. It has even gone to an extent to shun political and high figures that it
disapproves and has openly challenged. In May 2012, the Chinese official declined to meet their
British counterparts because of the ties of the British Prime Minister David Cameron with Dalai
Lama, the leader of Tiber over which China exercises sovereignty. (Branigan, 2014)
Q3. To what extent are the China s domestic problems likely to hold back its bid for great power
status?
A3. China s exceptional growth rate has influenced a domestic concern for the Chinese causing
inequality in the country. Many agriculture and factory workers have expressed concerned of the
growing middle class sector leaving people in the primary and secondary sector dissatisfied. Even
if there is a tremendous growth rate in the economy Chinas domestic problems are likely to cause
China to hold its great power status . This has come about worse for the Chinese authorities as it
slows the national growth of the company in the long term basis. Concentration of wealth in the
hands of a few can result in the political strife. With the prevailing level of communism and liberal
views within the China, such concentration power might result in further problems.
However the current growth also seems to impact the affluence population to enjoy

Roger Whetmore Case
In early May, 4299, the four defendants and Roger Whetmore entered a limestone cavern. A
landslide occurred while the group was far from the cavern s entrance, trapping the spelunkers
inside. The only known entrance was the one blocked by the landslide. When the group failed to
return home to their families, the Secretary of the Speluncean Society was contacted, and a rescue
team was sent out immediately. The group of spelunkers had only brought very few supplies. New
landslides caused the rescue to be significantly delayed than originally planned. On the twentieth
day it was discovered the group had radios within the cave, and communication was achieved. The
men were eventually rescued thirty two days after the first landslide had occurred. After their
rescue, the defendants were charged with the murder of their fellow spelunker, Roger Whetmore. It
was discovered on the twenty third day the group had killed and devoured their fellow spelunker.
The verdict of the initial trial found the defendants guilty, and the four men were sentenced to be
hung. The jury members requested the sentence be reduced to six months in jail. While the

in the cave, it was discovered that Whetmore had been murdered and consumed on the twenty
third day. This leaves nine days to come up with a story approved by each group member. The last
contact between the trapped men and the rescue camp had been the group asking for legal advice

Abstract With the increasing variety of mobile applications, reducing the energy utilization of
mobile devices is a major challenge in multimedia streaming applications. In this paper we
investigate energy efficient offloading policy for transcoding as a service in a generic mobile
cloud system. we explores how to minimize the energy consumption of the backlight when
displaying a video stream without adversely impacting the user s visual experience. we put forward
algorithms to solve the fundamental problem and prove the optimality in terms of energy savings.
Finally, based on the algorithms, we present a cloud based energy saving service.
The proposed offloading policy can reduce energy consumption on both mobile devices and the
cloud jointly, which provides guidelines for the design of green mobile cloud. Keyword: Mobile

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) consist of two or more benzeneringed compounds made
of only carbon and hydrogen. Compounds which are made of two rings are known as di aromatics
whereas those made of three benzene rings are known as tri aromatics and so forth. As the number
of rings increase, molecular weights of these compounds also increase and the compounds tend
towards higher thermodynamic stability. Most common examples of PAHs are naphthalene,
phenanthrene, pyrene etc.
Further, as these compounds become heavier, the particle s size increases and hence these
compounds are also known to be pre cursors of soot formation. In this report we will only be
studying PAH in the vapour phase whose particle sizes will be restricted to less than 1.5 nm.
Following diagram shows the formation of PAH resulting in soot, in a premixed flame. Figure 1:
Formation of PAH followed by soot. (Howard originally in Bockhorn) In a study carried out by Y.
Lev et al, it is seen that the concentration of total PAH is around 0.25 ng to 1 ng per Вµg of total
particulate matter depending on the number of rings, which is a very small quantity of the total
hydrocarbon emission from automotive. Figure 2: Ratio of total PAH to PM depending on the size
of the compound [Y.Lev]

The Deductive Argument Of Evil
The deductive argument for evil is more philosophical and packs a bigger punch, while the
evidential argument is much more convincing, but less powerful in the sense of philosophy. The
deductive argument holds four propositions, the first is that god is all knowing, the second is that
god is all powerful, the third is that godis all good, and finally the fourth is that evilexists in this
world. If God is all of those things, then why does he allow pain and suffering to occur. This is
where the evidential argument comes into play. The evidential argument holds that first, the kind
of evil that exists in the world is unexpected if God exists, and secondly if the kind of evil that
exists is not surprising if God does not exist. Therefore the

Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations Essay
The pivotal second chapter of Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations, quot;Of the Principle which gives
occasion to the Division of Labour, quot; opens with the oft cited claim that the foundation of
modern political economy is the human quot;propensity to truck, barter, and exchange one thing for
another. quot;1 This formulationplays both an analytical and normative role. It offers an
anthropological microfoundation for Smith s understanding of how modern commercial societies
function as social organizations, which, in turn, provide a venue for the expression and operation of
these human proclivities. Together with the equally famous concept of the invisible hand, this
sentence defines the central axis of a new scienceof political economy... Show more content on

Additionally, with this emphasis on spontaneous coordination, Smith pointed to the possibility of a
social order in which people live in harmony together with a minimum need of a central, coercive
apparatus. He captured the central intuition of classical economists according to which modern
commercial society, notwithstanding its conflicts, obeys a kind of pre established order, and enjoys
the advantage of a mechanism, the market, which maintains equilibria by continually adjusting
competing interests.
Over time, this powerful theoretical proposition has become a legitimating cornerstone for the
robust defense of market capitalism, a particular ensemble of political institutions, and a specific
line of justification for liberal ideas and values. Though manifestly plausible as an accurate reading
of Smith when Wealth of Nations is read on its own, even on these terms, this interpretation, is
limited and partial. Astonishingly, and disappointingly, most readers of Wealth of Nations fail to
attend the very next sentence that follows Smith s seemingly transhistorical, objectivist theory of
human dispositions, mindful of Mandeville s classical representation of human egoism. Smith
immediately probed more deeply by asking quot;Whether this propensity be one of those original
principles in human nature of which no further account can be given; or whether, as

Alcoholism Essay
Alcoholism
Alcoholism refers the drinking of alcohol to such a degree that major aspects of one s life are
seriously and repeatedly interfered with. These aspects include work, school, family relationships,
personal safety and health.
Alcoholism is considered a disease. It has known physical, psychological and social symptoms. An
alcoholic continues to drink even despite the destructive consequences. Alcoholism is serious and
progressive. It can be fatal if not treated. Alcoholism is a very complex disorder. An alcoholic who
stops drinking for a while is considered recovering, not cured.

Some common symptoms of alcoholism in the early stages are constant drinking for relief of
personal problems, an increase in one s tolerance for alcohol, memory lapses or blackouts while
drinking, and an urgent craving for alcohol. In the middle and late phases, dependence on alcohol
causes tremors and agitation only relievable by alcohol.
Most likely, a combination of biological, psychological, and cultural factors contribute to the
development of alcoholism in any individual.
Alcoholism often seems to run in families. Although there is no conclusive indication of the
alcoholic family member is associated, studies show that 50 to
80 percent of all alcoholics have had a close alcoholic relative. Some researchers believe that one
inherits an addiction for alcohol. Studies on animals and twins seem to support this theory. One
study suggests that a susceptibility to alcoholism may be linked to a gene on chromosome eleven.
Alcoholism may also be related to emotional problems. For example, alcoholism is sometimes
associated with a family history of maniac depression.
Some alcoholics have used alcohol medicate a depressive disorder. Alcoholics commonly drown
their depressed or anxious feelings with alcohol. Some may drink to reduce inhibitions or negative
feelings. Many alcoholics share experiences of loneliness,

Why Is Handlebars Important
The Importance of Handlebars I remember the first time riding a bike without my training
wheels. Daddy clips the bike helmet below my chin and slips on the knee and elbow pads, while
mommy fiddles with the video camera on the side walk. I mount my tiny bike as if it was valiant
horse, and playfully twist the handle bars back and forth like revving a motorcycle. The most
glorious moment, is when dad finally lets go of the bike and I pedal down the street, the glittery
streamers flowing from my handle bars. I no longer have my parents steadying the bike making
sure that I don t topple over. I am completely on my own maneuvering this machine. After a child
adapts to riding a bike, they start to experiment with the bikes capabilities. They ride the bike
backwards, try fancy tricks at the skate park, and completely take their hands off the handle bars.
However, should a child ride their bike with no handle bars, risking having complete control of
their bike and their safety just because they can? In the music video Handlebars, the Flobotsutilize
the functionality of visual art and dynamic symbolism to effectively describe how people s greed
and power can shadow the true potential and talent that an individual possesses, disconnecting them
from the people that genuinely care about them. The Flobots is a well known alternative rock and

According to the text book, terrorism is defined as a systematic attempt to inspire fear to gain
political ends, typically involving the indiscriminate use of violence against noncombatants.
Terrorist attacks is definately not new to the U.S. In 2001, al Qaeda lauched an attack on New
York s World Trade Center. The attack killed thousands of Americans, and put the country in a
state of panic and scare. One reason for this attack was that Islamics were angered that the U.S
had troops on the soil of Saudi Arabia, which was regarded as sacred. Groups such as al Qaeda
are extremely violent, and will not be negotiated with for peace. Recently, we have had several
terrorist attacks including the Boston Marathon bombing, Muslim shooting at Fort Hood, and
ISIS attacks on soldiers and journalists. Recently, attacks from domestic islamists are a major
concern for the U.S. These individuals are self radicalized through beliefs and the internet, rather
than being a part of a group. Farook and Malik, of the San Bernardino attacks, are examples of
this. In my opinion, terrorism is a huge concern for all of the people of our country. I think the
United States needs to have better background checks and investigations on immigrants before
letting them into our country, and we need to have better online and phone security from the
government so they can weed out threatening individuals that are already in the U.S. Without more

Social Medi A Social Perspective Essay
For the baseline week, time spent on social media is 25 hours and 12 minutes, average 3 hours
and 36 minutes per day. I spent more time on social media on weekends compared to weekdays
where I would have university. Antecedents are stimulus that precedes a behavior, events or
actions occurring before behavior that triggers behaviour(Weiten, 2013). This can be divided
using biopsychosocial model. For decreasing social media use, my most relevant antecedents are
social or environmental factors and psychological factors. Social or environmental antecedents
include time I usually use social media. I use social media after waking up and before sleeping.
I use social media most in bed. Another social antecedent is when I am in a social setting where
my friends are using social media, I am more likely to also check my social media. One
psychological antecedent is when I am bored, I will use social media. On weekends, I have
more free time and hence use social media more, while I am least likely to use social media
when I am busy. On Thursday, I spent the shortest time as I had to be in University all day. I will
also use social media when I am studying as an avoidance behaviour. When I reach a topic I feel
is challenging, I want to procrastinate and seek instant gratification by using social media, to
avoid doing the challenging work. I will also use social media when I am taking a break from my

The Fools in Twelfth Night Essay
The Fools of Twelfth Night
It is not unusual that the fool should be a prominent figure and make an important contribution in
forming the confusion and the humor in an Elizabethan drama. In William Shakespeare s comedy,
Twelfth Night, Feste the clown is not the only fool who is subject to foolery. He and many other
characters combine their silly acts and wits to invade other characters that either escape reality or
live a dream. In Twelfth Night, Feste, Maria and Sir Toby are the fools that make the comedy work
in many senses.
In Shakespeare s Twelfth Night, Feste s role in this Illyrian comedy is significant because Illyria is
a country permeated with the spirit of the Feast of Fools, where identities are ... Show more content

Although he does not make any profound remarks, he seems to be the wisest person of all the
characters in the comedy. Viola remarks this by saying, This fellow s wise enough to play the fool
(III.i.61). Since Feste is a licensed fool, his main role in Twelfth Night is to speak the truth. This is
where the humor lies, his truthfulness. In one example he proves Olivia to be a true fool by asking
her what she was mourning about. The point Feste tried to make was that Olivia was mourning for
a person whose soul is in heaven.
CLOWN: Good Madonna, why mourn st thou?
OLIVIA: Good Fool, for my brother s death.
CLOWN: I think his soul is in hell, Madonna.
OLIVIA: I know his soul is in heaven, fool.
CLOWN: The more fool, Madonna, to mourn for your brother s soul, being in heaven. Take away
the fool, gentlemen (act #, scene #, line 3).
Adding to the humor of the comedy, Feste dresses up as Sir Topaz, the curate and visits the
imprisoned Malvolio with Maria and Sir Toby. There he uses his humor to abuse Malvolio who
is still unaware that he is actually talking to the clown rather than to the real Sir Topaz. Feste
(disguised as Sir Topaz) calls Malvolio a lunatic (IV.ii.23), Satan (IV.ii.32) and confuses him by
wittingly making him a fool. Throughout the play, Malvolio has always been the person who
intentionally spoils the pleasure of other people. He is Feste s worst nightmare in the play, but in

focused on middle aged women between 30 60 years. I think Vera Bradley should enlarge its
target audience by focusing on the younger segment. This should be carried out carefully so to
avoid any loss in its current customer base. Vera Bradley should first renew its market research.
They can work with professional firms to carry out surveys to see what kind of functions they
need, what colors they like etc. This is a requirement as trends in young societies are prone to
change. They can also make informal research with their college student children and their
friends. Understanding their needs is the key to the strategy. Once this is done, Vera Bradley
can make new designs to address the audience s needs. I think new products should be
differentiated from the regular Vera Brandley line so that college girls do not associate the brand
with the middle aged audience. * A separate line: Vera Bradley has already established brand
awareness in the market and it is highly probable that young girls perceive the brand as a middle

Food Spoilage And Its Effect On The Food Industry
Abstract
The health and economic impact of food spoilage to both consumers and producers are
enormous, it has a detrimental effect on the consumer s health and negatively impacts the bottom
line of the producers. In the past monitoring of food quality are done using a sensor which
observes changes in temperature, releases of gases which are not effective and every year million
health cases result from food spoilage. This paper introduces an intelligent monitoring system that
uses NFC based sensor that has the capability to detect release gases from spoiled food through
the change in PH. This system uses a PH sensor and Near Field Communication (NFC) device
which is a subset of RFID.
Introduction
Food spoilage is the process in which food product becomes unconsumable to the human with

The Mayan Civilization And The Maya Empire
The Mayan civilization or the Maya Empire, centered in the tropical lowlands of what is now
Guatemala, reached the peak of its power and influence around the sixth century A.D. The Maya
excelled at agriculture, pottery, hieroglyph writing, calendar making and mathematics, and left
behind an astonishing amount of impressive architecture and symbolic artwork. Most of the great
stone cities of the Maya were abandoned by A.D. 900. The Maya civilizationwas one of the most
dominant indigenous societies of Mesoamerica. Unlike other scattered indigenous populations of
Mesoamerica, the Maya were centered in one geographical block covering all of the Yucatan
Peninsula and modern day Guatemala; Belize and parts of the Mexican states of Tabasco and
Chiapas; and the western part of Honduras and El Salvador. This concentration showed that the
Maya remained relatively secure from invasion by other Mesoamerican peoples.
Within that expanse, the Maya lived in three separate sub areas with distinct environmental and
cultural differences: the northern Maya lowlands on the Yucatan Peninsula; the southern lowlands
in the Peten district of northern Guatemala and adjacent portions of Mexico, Belize and western
Honduras; and the southern Maya highlands, in the mountainous region of southern Guatemala.
The earliest Maya settlements date to around 1800 B.C., or the beginning of what is called the
Preclassic or Formative Period. The Middle Preclassic Period also saw the rise of the first major

Gadamer s Influence On Christian Hermeneutics
This is important for theological method because it situates the Bible (or all Christian tradition) as
being authoritative in the present because of our experience and does not require proofs according
to Enlightenment standards.
Gadamer further contributes to theological method through his engagement with and influence on
Christian hermeneutics. Rowan Williams argues that the Gadamer profoundly influenced
Bonhoeffer and Wittgenstein in their contributions to Christian hermeneutics. Gadamer also
critiques Rudolf Bultmann s concepts of self understanding because they are influenced by
subjectivism and existentialism. Lawrence argues, that for Gadamer, Bultmann over emphasizes
the historical critical mediation of the New Testament texts. ... Show more content on

Instead, he contends that the proper honor lies in the tidings that they announce that surpasses their
own horizon. Lawrence argues that Gadamer finds three instances of Urliteratur in the New
Testament. First, the writers present themselves as faithful witnesses of an authentic tradition that
begins with the first community and first witnesses, which makes them more an intermediate
witness than an author. Second, the New Testament is an eminent or classical text. Gadamer
describes eminent text as one that captures a purely linguistic action and so possesses an eminent
relationship to writing and writtenness. Lawrence argues that for Gadamer viewing Scripture as an
eminent text sees it as having a normativity that is equal to that of inspiration. Further, for Gadamer
the eminent text involves an exceptional historical mode of being, the historical enactment of
preservation, which allows something to be true. This means that in encountering the New
Testament text we sense an immediate and binding affinity to a reality that as past is at once
unobtainable and presently relevant. Gadamer argue that the Gospel speaks uniquely in history in a
way that is appropriate to that time and place, which gives Scripture the character of

Essay On The First Day At The Denali Lodge
We had a good and bad news with the colds Allyson was feeling worst with a sore throat and
decided for the second day to not talk (I could say so much about that but will not) and I was
feeling 100% better than yesterday. We had breakfast at the lodge cafe which was quick and
easy before heading off to the Denali lodge. Similar start to the previous day with forest tress
obstructing our wonderful views of the rugged mountains. After a little while as we climbed a
little higher the trees spread out and the beautiful mountains appeared in full view. During our
coach ride we stopped a couple times to step off and take photos, the scenery was becoming more

We were told that bears frequently walk through the forest near the cabin and to stay in groups
as bears will unlikely attack several humans at once. One of my buddies at work told me if I see
a bear make sure your not the slowest runner, good advice but our tour guide told us running is
the worst thing you can do, as the bear thinks your fair game and they can run faster than us
humans. The advice was to stay put if a bear is coming towards you, that s of course if you
cannot seek to shelter, make yourself as big as possible and talk very loud. Luckily we didn t
need to use our newly learned skills although it would be good to see a grizzly from a distance.
We continued our tour along Park Road spotting caribou and more moose before hitting the
turnaround spot, taking some photos and heading back. On the way we stopped to meet a
native Alaskan girl, she was 20 years old and grow up in Fairbanks. She works as a translator
between her local native peoples and English speaking people. Towards the end she sang a lovely
song that people have sang for many generations. We continued our travels and just before we
exited the park a moose was walking beside the road and we got really good photos, we have now
seen hundreds of bison and many moose over the course of the trip, where are the grizzly bears???

The Limits to Growth
There is evidence to support the Limits to Growth conclusion that our planet could face an
overshoot and collapse scenario in the not so distant future. At the time of publication in 1972,
Limits to Growth presented a grim picture of the future of our planet, which became controversial.
Despite the human drive and ability to persevere in the past, the current facts seem to paint a less
promising picture.
There are symptoms everywhere that point to a world in overshoot. It has become commonly
accepted that humans are drawing on resources at a rate faster than can be replenished. The signs

Exponential Growth: Population, Economy, Consumption
For quite some time, the world has experienced exponential growth in a number of areas.
Population, industrialization, the world economy, and human consumption of resources all are
growing exponentially. When any quantity is growing at a rate of, for example, 10% per year,
it takes 7 years for the quantity to double. From 1930 to 2000, the money value of world
industrial output grew by a factor of 14 an average doubling time of 19 years (Meadows, A
Synopsis: Limits to Growth: The 30 Year Update ). Had the population stayed constant, the
material standard of living would have increased by the same factor, however due to population
increases, the per capita output increased by only a factor of 5 over the same period.
Economic growth generally occurs in richer countries and are disproportionally shifted to the
poorer countries. Furthermore, the economic divide between the richest and poorest 20% of the
population has grown and by 1995, the income ratio between the two demographics had increased
to a ratio of 82:1 (Meadows, A Synopsis: Limits to Growth: The 30 Year Update ). This inequitable
distribution of money results in an unequal distribution of resources, and an unfair disadvantage for
poorer people to access necessary supplies.

Craft Beer Industry
Abstract
As economies slowly improve, large organizations rely on third party logistics (3PL) companies to
play the crucial role of creating innovative solutions in supply chain technology and process
improvement. The supply chain market is optimistic for innovative 3PL companies in bad times
and good regardless of the industry it handles. The ultimate goal of 3PL companies is to enhance
visibility and increase responsiveness along the supply chain. This optimism has enabled new
players emerge into the supply chain distribution market that was dominated by a few key logistics
players. This paper reviews the current state of logistics visibility in the craft beer industry and
determines the feasibility of opening a strategically located third party climate controlled
distribution center(s) within the United States designed to service the expansive growth of the
Craft Beer industry. It also addresses any assumptions for the application of technology and
develops an innovation plan to drive supply chain excellence. This innovative plan is based on the
application of Denning s book, the Innovator s Way.
Introduction
The objective of the supply chain visibility in 3rd party logistics innovation plan is to enable local
craft brewers expand their geographic footprints in the US through improved logistics process and
efficient distribution channels provided by Satellite Logistics Group (SLG). The Houston based

industry
RFID is a type of automate identification and data capture technology (AIDC), which use wireless
frequency to get the related data from object, and recognize it. (Ashton, 2009). It is not necessary
to make a physical contact between objects in IoT to load data (it allows hundreds of meter to load
data), and the data can be transferred correctly and fast. (Gershenfeld, Raffi, Danny, 2004). RFID
tag can be used at many fields, such as logistic and manufacturing industry to locate and monitor the
materials or product.
In IoT, the RFID system composed of electric tag, reader, and internet, and the RFID system use
electronic tag to identify specific object, and RFID tag would exchange data through wireless
frequency. (Bonsor Wesley, 2014). The reader transmit the host computer command to RFID tag,
and convey the RFID tag s information back to the host computer. (Bonsor Wesley, 2014).
The RFID system can be divided in to three types based on its frequency, which are low
frequency system (30KHz 300KHz), high frequency RFID system (3MHz 30MHz), and
microwave system. (Rouse, 2014). The microwave system is the majorly used in the IoT, which

1.About Kazakhstan: An Introduction
Kazakhstan is the largest ex Soviet Union state and the ninth largest country worldwide, but it is
sparsely populated with 17 million inhabitants (13th lowest population density worldwide). The
extractive sector, the backbone of the economy, is dominated by international companies, which
finance their activities from their foreign parent companies. Consequently, Kazakhstan has a high
level of private foreign debt. The state is strongly present in the economy. Its investment holding
company, Samruk Kazyna, holds assets to tilling 50% of GDP, divided over the oil, gas and
financial sectors. The participation in the financial sector is a consequence of a bail out after the
2009 crisis, when the banking sector was overhauled. China is the most important business partner
for Kazakhstan due to its share in trade and investments (China currently holds 24% of the oil
sector).

Captain America Movie Analysis
Differences Between Reviews
Critics can pretty much review about anything and many of which are very similar with one
another, however, some of them are quite different actually. The two critics Stuckmann and Jahns
focus on Captain America: Civil War (the movie.) Both critics talk about how they feel towards the
movie in their own opinions while trying not to spoil the entire movie. Stuckmann and Jahns may
not support each other face to face, however, they both portray similar perspectives while having
different views on Captain America: Civil War. For example, they both give different insights on the
conflict, action scenes and characters while agreeing with one another, while also having some
similarities between the two.
Everybody takes conflict in movies differently or similarly. Movies as of today have impacted
people in many ways. Such as why Stuckmann believes the conflict behind Captain America: Civil
War is friendship and vengeance (inclining the cause of conflict within the movie is friendship and
vengeance.) While Jahns, broadly thinks the conflict is because of two sides of the argument
(Stating that their two or more people causing the conflict) in the movie. Both critics agree that
there is a cause behind the conflict in the movie. However, as Jahns mentions he does not believe
the conflict is because of friendship and vengeance. He believes theirs (without really providing in
depth details) two sides of an argument causing the conflict in the movie.

Examining the Existence of Dark Matter in the Universe Essay
Why is the night sky dark? For thousands of years this question has been asked. Astronomers are
continually growing closer to the answer but still no one has yet found an answer that is efficient
enough. While scientists steadily collect data, they are hoping to find some clue as to realize that
the answer may be because of something that is too mind blowing for us to comprehend. There is
perhaps no current problem of greater importance to astrophysics and cosmology than that of dark
matter. The controversy is centered on the conception that there may exist an enormous amount of
matter in the universethat cannot be detected from the light that it emits. The evidence of dark
matter is from the motions of astronomical objects,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Astronomers have figured out that dark matter is present due to the unusual bending of light in
places where nothing but empty space exists as well as the unusual movement of stars and
galaxies that can not be accounted for. The dark matter problem arose because of a difference in
the masses of galaxies and larger cosmic structures. The components of these systems stars and
gas is in the description of galaxies. Gas and galaxies in the case of galaxy clusters move about but
do not escape. They are restricted because they are watched over carefully by the gravitational pull
from the rest of the system. The laws of physics tell us how much mass has to be nearby to
counterbalance the motions. This will result by preventing the dispersal of the system. Doubtfully,
the tally of mass that astronomers actually observe falls relatively short compared to further away.
Dark matter is the only explanation that scientists can come up with for the difference between
these totals.
Albert Einstein of the 1900s was able to calculate up a formula to show that we can more
accurately describe gravity s action at a distance as a warp in the fabric of space time, produced
by any combination of matter and energy (64). With that being said, it opened up many minds in
the world of astronomy which made it more capable for astronomers to gather up a better
understanding of what this blank substance referred to as dark matter is actually

years of following the earlier flowering times the outcome might have been different. B. Once the
calculations were completed in each category the mean turned out to be the same as before.
IV. Discussion A. What did the results mean? 1. The results could reflect the responses of native
species to the climate change. The scientists said, Using such data, analyses could allow scientists
to clarify the extent and character of local variation in natural responses to climate change.
(Primack et, al. 345) 2. There are more precise patterns that can be observed from the herbarium

The Shema Research Paper
The Shema
The Shema is a Jewish prayer that serves as a daily declaration of faith. Jews recite the Shema
twice each day, in the morning and in the evening, as well as on holidays and during Shabbat, the
Jewish Sabbath. The Shema consists of three excerpts from the Torah, and Jews follow certain
rules when reciting it. It begins with a six word phrase Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai
Echad which translates as Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God; the Lord is One. The phrase Shema
Yisrael is one of the most well known Jewish sayings in the world.
An Overview of the Shema
Faithful Jews have been reciting the Shema since ancient times. The Shema consists of three
biblical excerpts: Deuteronomy 6:4 9, Deuteronomy 11:13 21, and Numbers ... Show more content

Children who are capable of saying the Shema generally are expected to learn not only to recite it
accurately but also to recite it at the appropriate time of day.
Customs
Jews may sit or stand when reciting the Shema, depending on the congregation to which they
belong. Before commencing their recital of the Shema, Jews should take time to think about its
meaning. Jewish law requires more focused concentration on the first verse of the Shema than on
other verses of the prayer. As a result, it is common for people to close their eyes or cover them
with their right hand to block out distractions as they speak this verse. They usually speak the first
verse aloud; again, this is to sharpen concentration and focus on the meaning of the declaration of
faith. The other verses may be spoken in quieter tones. When people recite the Shema, they should
take care to avoid speaking too quickly and slurring words together; each word should be
articulated clearly and deliberately. Many recite the Shema in Hebrew, but those who cannot speak
Hebrew may recite the Shema in their native

Social philosophyThe author believes that society should be held under governing laws, which
will help protect the people in a bigger scheme of things. When a larger group is being protected
it will mean that people will have to give up a little of their rights. For example, after the 911
tragedy the writer witnessed armed soldiers in the airport and also was pulled to the side and
searched thoroughly. At first, the author felt as if she was violated, but after boarding the airplane
she felt really safe. Although individuals give up some of their rights as citizens it serves as a
means to decrease chaos in our society. When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are
challenged to change ourselves (Frankl, 2014).

In conclusion we end where we started philosophy can be divided into five branches which study
the existence, knowledge, action, force and art. The six branches each seek and question looking
for answers that have a relationship to what is the study of philosophy.

with no one to wake me up, make me do homework, or go to class. These all led to my GPA not
being exactly where I wanted it to be along with a number of psychological factors that have all
been introduced throughout lecture and the readings. The four different chapters I can relate this

This is procrastination which is never a good thing and always leads to late nights, lots of coffee,
and poor sleeping habits. I procrastinate because I tend to think I am smart and can get it done
and in a short period of time without much work and research done before. This led to me handing
in subpar papers or assignments therefore bringing my GPA to an unacceptably low level for what
I expected out of myself. Another thing I could relate the procrastination to is a lack of motivation.
In high school I didn t have to do much studying or spend time writing long papers or doing
assignments. So when I came to college I thought it would be the same way and I quickly
learned that the college work load is much different and more intense than a high school work
load. This was a major factor in my GPA being where it was. I was not extremely motivated to be
taking all the general education classes I was enrolled in and therefore did not invest the time
that I should have. Having a good GPA is not a primary instinct like hunger or thirst, it is taught
to you that you should strive to have a good GPA. Hunger, thirst, sleep, and sex are all primary
drives of motivation and are all biological needs. A reason why I think I was not satisfied with my
grades is because I was doing it for an extrinsic purpose, the grade. If I had more intrinsic
motivation and found enjoyment in the work I was doing and was actually interested in the field
of study I possibly could have

The Origins Of The Viking
The term Viking commonly relinquishes thoughts of ship born warriors and pillagers known as
the Norsemen, or men from the north, who originated in Scandinavia and raided the coasts of
Britain, Ireland and mainland Europe as far east as the Volga River in Russia from the late 8th to
11th century. The terminology of the Viking has also been denoted by historians as entire
populations of Viking AgeScandinavia and their settlements. Although the Norsemenare infamous
for their pillaging and plundering they were also intensely focused on establishing sufficient trade
routes throughout Europeand implementing economically sustainable villages with functional
currency. Although the barbarian invasions undoubtedly deepened the initial economic crisis and
the emergence of the barbarian kingdoms made traveling less safe which accelerated the collapse
of long distance trade. At the same time also declining the importance of the cities as cultural and
trade centers. The claim that the barbarian invasions resulted in a long tenured period of general
economic and cultural decline can be argued against with sufficient evidence. Considering the
economic crisis started much earlier and could not be reversed neither by the reforms of Diocletian
nor of Constantine. It was not until after this initial depression that the extensive trade routes of the
Norsemen were able to redefine Europe economically and culturally.
The established Norse trade network included trading relationships

Persuasive Essay On Acne
Your skin is your friend, and you should love your skin no matter what color it is. Your skin
likes you. As a matter of fact, it protects you from the elements and literally keeps you together.
You, in turn, do your best to protect it from any kind of damage. Then, one day, acne rears its
ugly head, and you suddenly no longer love your skin. What do you do then? Turn to harsh
chemicals, and overpriced scrubs? That s a great way to thank a friend who s been there for you
since day one. Your epidermis isn t at fault here since it can t help that your hormones are causing
all that extra sebum to clog up your pores, or the fact that bacteria is running rampant. This is what
causes pores to become blocked with bacteria, which causes inflammationand redness.
If your skin could talk, what would it say? It would probably say something along the lines of
patience, grasshopper. Treat me right and I shall repay you in kind.
That s just a guess, anyways. The point is, natural acne remedies are a good way to get rid of it,
or at least hold it at bay. They make you step back and really figure out what s going on with
your skin, and how to work with it. Chances are, your skin will repay you in kind for not simply
ravaging it with strange chemicals and your wallet will probably thank you too.
Aloe for Acne
Did you know that aloe vera gel can be used with other things? It is, however, still good on its own.
If it s going to be used on its own, the best is to have a little aloe

International Competitiveness Of The Computer And Software...
2.1Nowadays the Internet market is dominated by companies based in the United States. This is
due to a series of factors and conditions as in order for a company to strive in Market it requires a
variety of factors in its home base. In the United States there are a range of factors, which support
the Internet industry as well as generalized advantages that span across domestic industries. A high
GDP per capita joint with being the country the 3rd largest population meant that many American
citizens had large disposable income, which could be spent on expensive computer hardware and
monthly Internet fees. This rich supply of capital, entrepreneurial orientation, and world class
educational computer technology facilities explain the national competitivenessof the computer and
software industry in the United States.
Due to the potential of growth of this Industry within the nation many businesses and consumers
promptly adopted the Internet. An increase in income meant that the demand for online goods
rapidly increased, as consumers were able to spend more. These demand conditions allowed online
multinational companies such as Google to innovate and thrive in the U.S. market due to the rich
environment.
Factors such as related and supporting industries have a great influence on the national
competitiveness of the United States in the computer and software industry. The presence clusters
with a dense population of high tech companies, in particular the Silicon Valley, not only

Chaos In Frankenstein
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is a story about Victor Frankenstein s creation, a monster.
Throughout the story, the monster feels left out, like an outcast, and as a result turns to killing to
get revenge on his creator. He wreaks havoc everywhere he goes and ultimately causes his own
demise. By the end of the story, it would have been better for everyone if the monster had been
destroyed. He never should have been created in the first place, caused chaos, constantly felt out of
place in the world, and did not really have a purpose for living. Frankensteins monster was a
mistake in the first place. Victor created the monster in secret with the fear that someone would find
out about his work. It was unethical for him to try to create life,... Show more content on

Throughout the whole story, the monster kills a lot of people and scares everyone he sees. If
the monster was destroyed, many characters would not have died and the world would be more
peaceful. For example, if the monster had been destroyed earlier, Justine would not have been
blamed for the murder of William. She would not have been killed for something she was not
guilty of. The monster did not fit in. The story tells of how he was tall, had a big stature, great
strength, scars, and generally looked scary. Because of these features, he scared everyone he
met, causing him to be utterly alone. Rather than face the cruelty of the world and be cast out
from the population, it would have been better for the monster if he was just destroyed. The
monster didn t have a purpose to live his life. He was created so that Victor could make an
advancement in science, but he was not brought to life with a purpose other than to be a science
experiment. HIs whole existence, the monster was so focused on revenge that when Victor finally
died, the monster decided to kill itself because it had nothing else to live for. Because he was born
without a true purpose or importance to society, it would have been better if he stopped

Video Games Help Children With Special Educational Needs
This paper explains how video games help children with special educational needs, should children
have certain technologies (I.e. phones, tablets, etc.) readily available, and what children enjoy
about playing video games. [METHODS?] The findings from this research are that children s
fascination in video games, whether with typical development or not, mainly involves the thrill of
challenges and the feeling of achievement when winning. When playing video games, children do
learn alternate ways to solve problems. Children who playvideo games may think and learn
differently than those who do not play. Those who tend to cheat in a video games may also do
the same when academics are involved. A child s academic ethics and effort seems to reflect when
playing video games. In other words, children who play a video gamewith minimal effort seem to
give the same amount of effort when academics are concerned. My conclusions include that
technology is good for children with special educational needs, it is helpful for young children in
that it gives them the tools that they need for success (being bilingual in the technological
language), and that it helps children cognitively by finding new ways to solve problems.
Technology s Impact on Childhood Development
Ever since video games were introduced to the world, the topic on whether or not they benefit or
decline a child s progress was a concerning and alarming question. This topic has steadily grown in
interest as

Essay about Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel
Like Water For Chocolate The film, Like Water for Chocolate, represents a story through
incorporating the idea of food as feelings and expressing the woman s roles during the Mexican
Revolution. The film is a romantic comedy showing many joking ways of hard times and soft
issues and the way of life. The most striking and theme seems to be how women seem to be in
charge rather then males; during this time period, I thought that men were more likely to be the
head of the household and in charge.
Throughout the film, the main overall theme is that a woman had an illegitimate daughter with
someone while she was married, her husband left her, and she was alone with three girls and the
youngest, Tita, was to never marry because she was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To take light of the film there were many comical parts, that seemed unlikely considering the
nature of the film. When Tita cooked, her feelings came through in her food. She felt bad when
her sister married, so when she made her cake, everyone became sick. Rosura always had gas from
what Tita made to eat and bad breath. Tita received roses from Pedro, she made quail and rose petal
soup to show him her love and then everyone who ate it was having almost sexual feelings. It was
ridiculous to comprehend because everyone was feeling how she was though her food and no one
gets like that in real life.
Tita s sister Gertrudis, ran off with revolutionaries and her mother basically sinned her and made
everyone forget of her existence. She burned pictures, papers and her birth certificate to make it
official, she also told her two daughters to not have any contact with her. Gertrudis comes back
later in the film to show another comical part, she s now a general for the revolutionaries. She
orders one of the soldiers around, like a man, but yet she is a woman. This is putting another
woman s role into a different hand, because I ve never heard of any women being generals or
anywhere high in the ranks. None of her soldiers are female, she is the only one within the group,
yet she is the general, if the mother only knew! The mother dies in the film because of her
stubborness. She doesn t like the

  • 2. Dark Fantasy Essay Dark Fantasy is a hip hop song with classic verses and a captivating, expressive chorus similar to Nas flow. But a more profound analysis illustrates that the song is a metaphor describing that Kanye West is feeling like he is on top of the world, as a valued idol at the peak of his music career. However, the larger themes within the song that flows throughout the album implies the experiencing of dark fantasies, pursuing the American dream, evolving into the monster one would never thought he would evolve into, the flashing lights that blind rather than brighten, falling in love and then undervaluing the relationship, sensual exploits as a heartbreaking alternative for loss of love, being lost in the labyrinth of the American lifestyle;... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Followed by the intro is an abrupt disbelief, since most of Kanye s listeners do not anticipate hearing this surprise on a hip hop compilation. The surprise is the vocal harmonies. After the accords of Can we get much higher , the rhythm aggressively bangs into motion and Dark Fantasy opens. I fantasized about this back in Chicago/ Mercy, mercy, that Murcielago, West raps, apparently astonished that he accomplished all he ever desired. For the rest of Dark Fantasy, Kanye is liberally combining the luxuries ( Mercy, mercy me, that Murcielago ) and the existential ( Hey teacher, teacher/Tell me how do you respond to the students?/And refresh the page and restart the memory?/And re spark the soul and rebuild the energy? ). Kanye West identifies himself as a leader, but contemplates on how to develop the world into a better one, specifically for the Black Community. • 3. Cultural Analysis Assignment When I began this assignment, I knew I wanted to try out a culture I know practically nothing about. I love Chinese and Japanese food, so I decided to turn in the direction of sitting at a restaurant with Chinese/Asian cuisine. This was a simple sit down dinner that did not occur on any special day like holidays. The setting that I chose was a Cantonese restaurant located in Elmwood Park called New Star Restaurant . While I walked in, I noticed a variety of gift items such as porcelain turtles, buddhas, Maneki Neko(welcoming cat), pandas, etc. There was a lot of red and gold decor in the interior of the restaurant. The people of this culture are very strong believers in good fortune, good health, and family. The red means success in relationships... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I have people in my family that have many negative perceptions about the asian culture. For example, I have a family member that refuses to eat Chinese food out of fear of eating dog meat. This is very irrational, and I do not have perceptions like these. In my own culture, we eat mostly with our without hands. I have had a server bring me a washcloth to wash my hands before I start eating to prevent bacterial contamination. I still noticed the integrity within this culture and my own. I have met some amazing servers, and this one was no exception. I think the foods are very different, but they do not mean one culture is better than the other. I do have the option to display my own ethnicity in some situations because it can be uncomfortable to expose my differences in certain environments. It can be because of danger or fear of being out of my comfort zone. I think my ethnicity is not as strongly expressed as the one I observed because my culture is much more minimal. We are not into attention to detail, or large displays of culture. I feel that it is more likely to move away from expressing these aspects of our social identity because in modern day, people are targeted for their differences. I think this is influenced by leaders in power that generate a reason for hate among all those that are not Caucasian. By this, I mean president Donald Trump and his administration. I think that as he continued to stir up emotions of hate, people will be less likely to want to be who they are and display their culture ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To what extent did the world economic downturn of 2008 09 boost China s position as a world leader? A1. China began its 2008, fiscal year with a continuing growth rate in double digits until the Global Financial Crisis struck the world leaving the United States and the Europe economically wounded. Though during the phase it was assumed China would be immune to the GFC, however the banks collapsing in the Europe and the America dragged China into a financial mess itself. The recorded GDP growth for the fiscal years 2009 10 were 9.6% and 9.2% respectively. (Li, Willett Zhang, 2012). A landslide occurred while the group was far from the cavern s entrance, trapping the spelunkers inside. The only known entrance was the one blocked by the landslide. When the group failed to return home to their families, the Secretary of the Speluncean Society was contacted, and a rescue team was sent out immediately. The group of spelunkers had only brought very few supplies. New landslides caused the rescue to be significantly delayed than originally planned. On the twentieth day it was discovered the group had radios within the cave, and communication was achieved. The men were eventually rescued thirty two days after the first landslide had occurred. After their rescue, the defendants were charged with the murder of their fellow spelunker, Roger Whetmore. It was discovered on the twenty third day the group had killed and devoured their fellow spelunker. After Treatment Of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons AFTER TREATMENT OF PAH IN AUTOMOTIVE 1.Summary 2.Motivation 2.1.Environmental issues 2.2.Health issues 2.3.Laws and regulations 3.Objectives 3.1.Control techniques 3.2.Economics 4.Introduction Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) consist of two or more benzeneringed compounds made of only carbon and hydrogen. Compounds which are made of two rings are known as di aromatics whereas those made of three benzene rings are known as tri aromatics and so forth. As the number of rings increase, molecular weights of these compounds also increase and the compounds tend towards higher thermodynamic stability. Most common examples of PAHs are naphthalene, phenanthrene, pyrene etc. Further, as these compounds become heavier, the particle s size increases and hence these compounds are also known to be pre cursors of soot formation. In this report we will only be studying PAH in the vapour phase whose particle sizes will be restricted to less than 1.5 nm. Following diagram shows the formation of PAH resulting in soot, in a premixed flame. Figure 1: Formation of PAH followed by soot. (Howard originally in Bockhorn) In a study carried out by Y. Lev et al, it is seen that the concentration of total PAH is around 0.25 ng to 1 ng per Вµg of total particulate matter depending on the number of rings, which is a very small quantity of the total hydrocarbon emission from automotive. • 11. Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations Essay The pivotal second chapter of Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations, quot;Of the Principle which gives occasion to the Division of Labour, quot; opens with the oft cited claim that the foundation of modern political economy is the human quot;propensity to truck, barter, and exchange one thing for another. quot;1 This formulationplays both an analytical and normative role. It offers an anthropological microfoundation for Smith s understanding of how modern commercial societies function as social organizations, which, in turn, provide a venue for the expression and operation of these human proclivities. Together with the equally famous concept of the invisible hand, this sentence defines the central axis of a new scienceof political economy... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, with this emphasis on spontaneous coordination, Smith pointed to the possibility of a social order in which people live in harmony together with a minimum need of a central, coercive apparatus. He captured the central intuition of classical economists according to which modern commercial society, notwithstanding its conflicts, obeys a kind of pre established order, and enjoys the advantage of a mechanism, the market, which maintains equilibria by continually adjusting competing interests. Over time, this powerful theoretical proposition has become a legitimating cornerstone for the robust defense of market capitalism, a particular ensemble of political institutions, and a specific line of justification for liberal ideas and values. Though manifestly plausible as an accurate reading of Smith when Wealth of Nations is read on its own, even on these terms, this interpretation, is limited and partial. Astonishingly, and disappointingly, most readers of Wealth of Nations fail to attend the very next sentence that follows Smith s seemingly transhistorical, objectivist theory of human dispositions, mindful of Mandeville s classical representation of human egoism. Smith immediately probed more deeply by asking quot;Whether this propensity be one of those original principles in human nature of which no further account can be given; or whether, as ... Some researchers believe that one inherits an addiction for alcohol. Studies on animals and twins seem to support this theory. Daddy clips the bike helmet below my chin and slips on the knee and elbow pads, while mommy fiddles with the video camera on the side walk. I mount my tiny bike as if it was valiant horse, and playfully twist the handle bars back and forth like revving a motorcycle. The most glorious moment, is when dad finally lets go of the bike and I pedal down the street, the glittery streamers flowing from my handle bars. I no longer have my parents steadying the bike making sure that I don t topple over. I am completely on my own maneuvering this machine. After a child adapts to riding a bike, they start to experiment with the bikes capabilities. They ride the bike backwards, try fancy tricks at the skate park, and completely take their hands off the handle bars. However, should a child ride their bike with no handle bars, risking having complete control of their bike and their safety just because they can? Terrorist attacks is definately not new to the U.S. In 2001, al Qaeda lauched an attack on New York s World Trade Center. The attack killed thousands of Americans, and put the country in a state of panic and scare. One reason for this attack was that Islamics were angered that the U.S had troops on the soil of Saudi Arabia, which was regarded as sacred. Groups such as al Qaeda are extremely violent, and will not be negotiated with for peace. Recently, we have had several terrorist attacks including the Boston Marathon bombing, Muslim shooting at Fort Hood, and ISIS attacks on soldiers and journalists. Recently, attacks from domestic islamists are a major concern for the U.S. These individuals are self radicalized through beliefs and the internet, rather than being a part of a group. Farook and Malik, of the San Bernardino attacks, are examples of this. In my opinion, terrorism is a huge concern for all of the people of our country. I think the United States needs to have better background checks and investigations on immigrants before letting them into our country, and we need to have better online and phone security from the government so they can weed out threatening individuals that are already in the U.S. Without more security, organizations like ISIS or self radicals may extremely harm our country and kill many of the people in ... Antecedents are stimulus that precedes a behavior, events or actions occurring before behavior that triggers behaviour(Weiten, 2013). This can be divided using biopsychosocial model. For decreasing social media use, my most relevant antecedents are social or environmental factors and psychological factors. Social or environmental antecedents include time I usually use social media. I use social media after waking up and before sleeping. I use social media most in bed. Another social antecedent is when I am in a social setting where my friends are using social media, I am more likely to also check my social media. The Fools in Twelfth Night Essay The Fools of Twelfth Night It is not unusual that the fool should be a prominent figure and make an important contribution in forming the confusion and the humor in an Elizabethan drama. In William Shakespeare s comedy, Twelfth Night, Feste the clown is not the only fool who is subject to foolery. He and many other characters combine their silly acts and wits to invade other characters that either escape reality or live a dream. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although he does not make any profound remarks, he seems to be the wisest person of all the characters in the comedy. Viola remarks this by saying, This fellow s wise enough to play the fool (III.i.61). Since Feste is a licensed fool, his main role in Twelfth Night is to speak the truth. This is where the humor lies, his truthfulness. In one example he proves Olivia to be a true fool by asking her what she was mourning about. The point Feste tried to make was that Olivia was mourning for a person whose soul is in heaven. Take away the fool, gentlemen (act #, scene #, line 3). Adding to the humor of the comedy, Feste dresses up as Sir Topaz, the curate and visits the imprisoned Malvolio with Maria and Sir Toby. There he uses his humor to abuse Malvolio who is still unaware that he is actually talking to the clown rather than to the real Sir Topaz. Feste (disguised as Sir Topaz) calls Malvolio a lunatic (IV.ii.23), Satan (IV.ii.32) and confuses him by wittingly making him a fool. I think Vera Bradley should enlarge its target audience by focusing on the younger segment. This should be carried out carefully so to avoid any loss in its current customer base. Vera Bradley should first renew its market research. • 20. Food Spoilage And Its Effect On The Food Industry Abstract The health and economic impact of food spoilage to both consumers and producers are enormous, it has a detrimental effect on the consumer s health and negatively impacts the bottom line of the producers. In the past monitoring of food quality are done using a sensor which observes changes in temperature, releases of gases which are not effective and every year million health cases result from food spoilage. This paper introduces an intelligent monitoring system that uses NFC based sensor that has the capability to detect release gases from spoiled food through the change in PH. This system uses a PH sensor and Near Field Communication (NFC) device which is a subset of RFID. Introduction Food spoilage is the process in which food product becomes unconsumable to the human with changes in taste, smell and physical form. These changes are due to some factors like air, oxygen, light, temperature, and microbial growth. Lack of adequate food monitoring technology during transit of product usually result to compromising on food quality and safety. The innovation of wireless method of monitoring food quality will ensure consumer health and safety and reduce the cost of a producer. • 21. The Mayan Civilization And The Maya Empire The Mayan civilization or the Maya Empire, centered in the tropical lowlands of what is now Guatemala, reached the peak of its power and influence around the sixth century A.D. The Maya excelled at agriculture, pottery, hieroglyph writing, calendar making and mathematics, and left behind an astonishing amount of impressive architecture and symbolic artwork. Most of the great stone cities of the Maya were abandoned by A.D. 900. The Maya civilizationwas one of the most dominant indigenous societies of Mesoamerica. Unlike other scattered indigenous populations of Mesoamerica, the Maya were centered in one geographical block covering all of the Yucatan Peninsula and modern day Guatemala; Belize and parts of the Mexican states of Tabasco and Chiapas; and the western part of Honduras and El Salvador. This concentration showed that the Maya remained relatively secure from invasion by other Mesoamerican peoples. Within that expanse, the Maya lived in three separate sub areas with distinct environmental and cultural differences: the northern Maya lowlands on the Yucatan Peninsula; the southern lowlands in the Peten district of northern Guatemala and adjacent portions of Mexico, Belize and western Honduras; and the southern Maya highlands, in the mountainous region of southern Guatemala. Gadamer s Influence On Christian Hermeneutics This is important for theological method because it situates the Bible (or all Christian tradition) as being authoritative in the present because of our experience and does not require proofs according to Enlightenment standards. Gadamer further contributes to theological method through his engagement with and influence on Christian hermeneutics. Rowan Williams argues that the Gadamer profoundly influenced Bonhoeffer and Wittgenstein in their contributions to Christian hermeneutics. Gadamer also critiques Rudolf Bultmann s concepts of self understanding because they are influenced by subjectivism and existentialism. Lawrence argues, that for Gadamer, Bultmann over emphasizes the historical critical mediation of the New Testament texts. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead, he contends that the proper honor lies in the tidings that they announce that surpasses their own horizon. Lawrence argues that Gadamer finds three instances of Urliteratur in the New Testament. First, the writers present themselves as faithful witnesses of an authentic tradition that begins with the first community and first witnesses, which makes them more an intermediate witness than an author. Second, the New Testament is an eminent or classical text. Gadamer describes eminent text as one that captures a purely linguistic action and so possesses an eminent relationship to writing and writtenness. Lawrence argues that for Gadamer viewing Scripture as an eminent text sees it as having a normativity that is equal to that of inspiration. Further, for Gadamer the eminent text involves an exceptional historical mode of being, the historical enactment of preservation, which allows something to be true. This means that in encountering the New Testament text we sense an immediate and binding affinity to a reality that as past is at once unobtainable and presently relevant. Gadamer argue that the Gospel speaks uniquely in history in a way that is appropriate to that time and place, which gives Scripture the character of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Consideration Of The Limits On Growth Consideration of The Limits to Growth Mitchell Gordon 500563807 Economics of Environment The Limits to Growth There is evidence to support the Limits to Growth conclusion that our planet could face an overshoot and collapse scenario in the not so distant future. At the time of publication in 1972, Limits to Growth presented a grim picture of the future of our planet, which became controversial. Despite the human drive and ability to persevere in the past, the current facts seem to paint a less promising picture. There are symptoms everywhere that point to a world in overshoot. From 1930 to 2000, the money value of world industrial output grew by a factor of 14 an average doubling time of 19 years (Meadows, A Synopsis: Limits to Growth: The 30 Year Update ). Had the population stayed constant, the material standard of living would have increased by the same factor, however due to population increases, the per capita output increased by only a factor of 5 over the same period. Economic growth generally occurs in richer countries and are disproportionally shifted to the poorer countries. Furthermore, the economic divide between the richest and poorest 20% of the population has grown and by 1995, the income ratio between the two demographics had increased to a ratio of 82:1 (Meadows, A Synopsis: Limits to Growth: The 30 Year Update ). • 30. Examining the Existence of Dark Matter in the Universe Essay Why is the night sky dark? For thousands of years this question has been asked. Astronomers are continually growing closer to the answer but still no one has yet found an answer that is efficient enough. While scientists steadily collect data, they are hoping to find some clue as to realize that the answer may be because of something that is too mind blowing for us to comprehend. There is perhaps no current problem of greater importance to astrophysics and cosmology than that of dark matter. The controversy is centered on the conception that there may exist an enormous amount of matter in the universethat cannot be detected from the light that it emits. The evidence of dark matter is from the motions of astronomical objects,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Astronomers have figured out that dark matter is present due to the unusual bending of light in places where nothing but empty space exists as well as the unusual movement of stars and galaxies that can not be accounted for. The dark matter problem arose because of a difference in the masses of galaxies and larger cosmic structures. The components of these systems stars and gas is in the description of galaxies. Gas and galaxies in the case of galaxy clusters move about but do not escape. They are restricted because they are watched over carefully by the gravitational pull from the rest of the system. The laws of physics tell us how much mass has to be nearby to counterbalance the motions. This will result by preventing the dispersal of the system. Doubtfully, the tally of mass that astronomers actually observe falls relatively short compared to further away. Dark matter is the only explanation that scientists can come up with for the difference between these totals. Albert Einstein of the 1900s was able to calculate up a formula to show that we can more accurately describe gravity s action at a distance as a warp in the fabric of space time, produced by any combination of matter and energy (64). With that being said, it opened up many minds in the world of astronomy which made it more capable for astronomers to gather up a better understanding of what this blank substance referred to as dark matter is actually ... The Origins Of The Viking The term Viking commonly relinquishes thoughts of ship born warriors and pillagers known as the Norsemen, or men from the north, who originated in Scandinavia and raided the coasts of Britain, Ireland and mainland Europe as far east as the Volga River in Russia from the late 8th to 11th century. The terminology of the Viking has also been denoted by historians as entire populations of Viking AgeScandinavia and their settlements. Although the Norsemenare infamous for their pillaging and plundering they were also intensely focused on establishing sufficient trade routes throughout Europeand implementing economically sustainable villages with functional currency. Although the barbarian invasions undoubtedly deepened the initial economic crisis and the emergence of the barbarian kingdoms made traveling less safe which accelerated the collapse of long distance trade. At the same time also declining the importance of the cities as cultural and trade centers. The claim that the barbarian invasions resulted in a long tenured period of general economic and cultural decline can be argued against with sufficient evidence. Considering the economic crisis started much earlier and could not be reversed neither by the reforms of Diocletian nor of Constantine. It was not until after this initial depression that the extensive trade routes of the Norsemen were able to redefine Europe economically and culturally. The established Norse trade network included trading relationships ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Persuasive Essay On Acne Your skin is your friend, and you should love your skin no matter what color it is. Your skin likes you. As a matter of fact, it protects you from the elements and literally keeps you together. You, in turn, do your best to protect it from any kind of damage. Then, one day, acne rears its ugly head, and you suddenly no longer love your skin. What do you do then? Turn to harsh chemicals, and overpriced scrubs? That s a great way to thank a friend who s been there for you since day one. Your epidermis isn t at fault here since it can t help that your hormones are causing all that extra sebum to clog up your pores, or the fact that bacteria is running rampant. This is what causes pores to become blocked with bacteria, which causes inflammationand redness. If your skin could talk, what would it say? It would probably say something along the lines of patience, grasshopper. Treat me right and I shall repay you in kind. That s just a guess, anyways. The point is, natural acne remedies are a good way to get rid of it, or at least hold it at bay. They make you step back and really figure out what s going on with your skin, and how to work with it. Chances are, your skin will repay you in kind for not simply ravaging it with strange chemicals and your wallet will probably thank you too. Aloe for Acne Did you know that aloe vera gel can be used with other things? It is, however, still good on its own. If it s going to be used on its own, the best is to have a little aloe ... • 44. Chaos In Frankenstein Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is a story about Victor Frankenstein s creation, a monster. Throughout the story, the monster feels left out, like an outcast, and as a result turns to killing to get revenge on his creator. He wreaks havoc everywhere he goes and ultimately causes his own demise. By the end of the story, it would have been better for everyone if the monster had been destroyed. He never should have been created in the first place, caused chaos, constantly felt out of place in the world, and did not really have a purpose for living. Frankensteins monster was a mistake in the first place. Victor created the monster in secret with the fear that someone would find out about his work. It was unethical for him to try to create life,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Throughout the whole story, the monster kills a lot of people and scares everyone he sees. If the monster was destroyed, many characters would not have died and the world would be more peaceful. For example, if the monster had been destroyed earlier, Justine would not have been blamed for the murder of William. She would not have been killed for something she was not guilty of. The monster did not fit in. The story tells of how he was tall, had a big stature, great strength, scars, and generally looked scary. Because of these features, he scared everyone he met, causing him to be utterly alone. Rather than face the cruelty of the world and be cast out from the population, it would have been better for the monster if he was just destroyed. The monster didn t have a purpose to live his life. He was created so that Victor could make an advancement in science, but he was not brought to life with a purpose other than to be a science experiment. HIs whole existence, the monster was so focused on revenge that when Victor finally died, the monster decided to kill itself because it had nothing else to live for. Because he was born without a true purpose or importance to society, it would have been better if he stopped ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Video Games Help Children With Special Educational Needs This paper explains how video games help children with special educational needs, should children have certain technologies (I.e. phones, tablets, etc.) readily available, and what children enjoy about playing video games. [METHODS?] The findings from this research are that children s fascination in video games, whether with typical development or not, mainly involves the thrill of challenges and the feeling of achievement when winning. When playing video games, children do learn alternate ways to solve problems. Children who playvideo games may think and learn differently than those who do not play. Those who tend to cheat in a video games may also do the same when academics are involved. A child s academic ethics and effort seems to reflect when playing video games. In other words, children who play a video gamewith minimal effort seem to give the same amount of effort when academics are concerned. My conclusions include that technology is good for children with special educational needs, it is helpful for young children in that it gives them the tools that they need for success (being bilingual in the technological language), and that it helps children cognitively by finding new ways to solve problems. Technology s Impact on Childhood Development Ever since video games were introduced to the world, the topic on whether or not they benefit or decline a child s progress was a concerning and alarming question. This topic has steadily grown in interest as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Essay about Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel Like Water For Chocolate The film, Like Water for Chocolate, represents a story through incorporating the idea of food as feelings and expressing the woman s roles during the Mexican Revolution. The film is a romantic comedy showing many joking ways of hard times and soft issues and the way of life. The most striking and theme seems to be how women seem to be in charge rather then males; during this time period, I thought that men were more likely to be the head of the household and in charge. Throughout the film, the main overall theme is that a woman had an illegitimate daughter with someone while she was married, her husband left her, and she was alone with three girls and the youngest, Tita, was to never marry because she was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To take light of the film there were many comical parts, that seemed unlikely considering the nature of the film. When Tita cooked, her feelings came through in her food. She felt bad when her sister married, so when she made her cake, everyone became sick. Rosura always had gas from what Tita made to eat and bad breath. Tita received roses from Pedro, she made quail and rose petal soup to show him her love and then everyone who ate it was having almost sexual feelings. It was ridiculous to comprehend because everyone was feeling how she was though her food and no one gets like that in real life. Tita s sister Gertrudis, ran off with revolutionaries and her mother basically sinned her and made everyone forget of her existence. She burned pictures, papers and her birth certificate to make it official, she also told her two daughters to not have any contact with her. Gertrudis comes back later in the film to show another comical part, she s now a general for the revolutionaries. She orders one of the soldiers around, like a man, but yet she is a woman. This is putting another woman s role into a different hand, because I ve never heard of any women being generals or anywhere high in the ranks. None of her soldiers are female, she is the only one within the group, yet she is the general, if the mother only knew! The mother dies in the film because of her stubborness. She doesn t like the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
