Each One Teach One Essay
Crafting an essay on the concept of "Each One Teach One" presents both challenges and
opportunities for exploration. At first glance, the topic may seem straightforward, emphasizing
the importance of individuals imparting knowledge to others. However, delving deeper into the
subject reveals a complex web of social, educational, and cultural implications.
One of the primary difficulties lies in striking the right balance between the personal and the
universal. How does one encapsulate the essence of the phrase "Each One Teach One" while
accounting for the diverse contexts in which this philosophy may be applied? The need to
navigate between individual anecdotes and broader societal considerations demands a nuanced
approach to ensure the essay resonates with a varied audience.
Moreover, addressing the historical and contemporary significance of the mantra adds another
layer of complexity. The roots of "Each One Teach One" can be traced back to African-American
oral traditions and the commitment to education within marginalized communities. Navigating
this historical context requires a sensitive touch to capture the spirit of resilience and
empowerment that underpins the phrase.
Additionally, conveying the practical implications of the concept necessitates a thorough
examination of educational methodologies and social structures. Discussing how the philosophy
translates into actionable initiatives, whether in formal educational settings or community-based
learning, requires a comprehensive understanding of diverse teaching methods and their impact.
The challenge extends to striking a tone that inspires without sounding didactic. The essay should
not just inform but also motivate readers to embrace the ethos of "Each One Teach One" in their
own lives. Balancing conviction with openness to different interpretations becomes crucial in
fostering a sense of shared responsibility for education.
In conclusion, while the topic of "Each One Teach One" may initially seem straightforward, the
essay-writing process unveils layers of intricacy. It demands a delicate dance between the
personal and the universal, historical and contemporary contexts, and the theoretical and
practical aspects of education. Successfully navigating these challenges can result in a
compelling exploration of a philosophy that transcends individual acts of teaching, resonating
with the collective responsibility we bear for the enlightenment of all.

Whether it be marching in an ANZAC day parade, seeing the green and gold boxing

how proud his dad is of his little girl. He states in his narration, Dad reckons the

Majority of the major corporations worldwide are considered commercial

Responsible Leadership is the leadership of leading people or organization in a
responsible and ethical manner that, makes decisions and perform actions that, next
to the interest of shareholders, takes into accounts of all stakeholders, such as

(Sackmann, 2005). It is one the key topics in business today with growing awareness
of social responsibility among business leaders.
In general perception, responsible leadership can be easily found among social
entrepreneurs due to the nature of their business goals, they tend to steer their
organizations in a more responsible direction over commercial leadership, whose
business goal in profit may cloud the judgment of their business leaders, luring them
to choose a more lucrative path over social responsibility. To further evaluate this
stance, both entrepreneurship models will be analyzed against the 2 major aspects of
Responsible Leadership paradigm.
The first aspect to be analyzed against is the higher order strategy, or the direction
steered by the two different types of entrepreneurs as the leader of their organizations.
These usually reflect the characteristics of the leader and sets path for where the
company is heading to. These strategies will not only determines the
The Coming Of Age Essay
The Coming of Age
Childhood is a time where children learn about the world around themselves. They
see and experience many factors that influence their everyday lives, which help them
grow stronger when they become adults. In Girl ; by Jamaica Kincaid and The
Lesson ; by Toni Cade Bambara the characters within the stories learn valuable lesson
with help them grow to become better individuals. In The Lesson ; the character of
Sugar undergoes a realization that society does not treat everyone equally, that not
every individual has the same opportunity and equality that they should have. In Girl ;
the main character learns that she must be perceived as a woman and not as a slut, her

In this quotation Sugar realizes what Miss Moore set out to teach the lower
classed and deprived children, her goal was to open their eyes and make them
aware of how much more there is out there then making pocket change. What kinda
work they do and how they live and how come we ain t in on it? Where we are is
who we are, Miss Moore always pointin out. But it don t necessarily have to be that
way, she always adds then waits for somebody to say that poor people have to
wake up and demand their share of the pie and place, ; (Bambara 452). With her
eyes wide open and with her mind curious and educated, Sugar and her friends
realize that in order for them to get some where in life they have to work at it, but
not as in individual but as a whole, a class. The only way for them to make a
difference to change societies view of their class and become part of the rest of
societies.
In Girl ; Kincaid lists a series of orders from a mother to a daughter in such a way
that the characters lives are illuminated and transformed by the mundane
household details. The Girl ; is more of a gender type of a story, but there is also a
lesson that needs to be realized by the girl. In this story the mother of this girl is
her teacher, she tells her daughter of how the world is around her, just like Miss

that he needs to be viewed as a woman within society. Who or what the
Insecurities In Othello
You act like it s you against the world, but it s really just you against yourself
(Thingswesay). In the play Othello by William Shakespeare, Iago showcases various
insecurities produced by personal and sexual issues that upbring his duplicitous
character. These insecurities play a key role in the development of the play and the
making of Othellos catastrophe. Iagois an unreliable man that is spurred by his own
particular insecurities. From the beginning of the play, Iago is left in displeasure
since he was incapable of achieving his endeavour to wind up as a lieutenant and his
physical appearance, both in which Cassio has a critical contribution. In any case,
what makes Iago desirous to a great degree is the way that Othello elevates... Show

He fears the exposure of his actual character and wants to execute his plan by
keeping other individuals believing that he is an honest and a trustworthy man.
Firstly, Iago undermines Emilia not to say another word in regards to the
handkerchief that he utilizes as a major aspect of the arrangement to devastate
Othello. He advises Emilia to Be wise and get you home. (Act 5.2.221). Emilia
disagrees with what Iago says and soon after, Iago draws his sword. This shows
Iago really thinks about his personality and notoriety, his trepidation of
presentation is fierce to the point that it drives him to execute his own particular
wife. Also, there is not a single line written in the play, which uncovers Iago
presenting his reality to someone else. In spite of the fact that everybody makes
sense of Iago s two sided personality towards the end of the play, despite everything
he doesn t have the quality to uncover his actual two sided character or translate
why he has done such offensive deeds. When Othello demands Iago for a
reasoning behind his actions, he responds back saying, Demand me nothing; what
you know, you know. / From this time forth I never will speak word (Act 5.2.300
301). Iago s instability of character is powerful to the point that is prohibits him to
talk up and give a sensible reaction to Othello regarding why he has done such
malevolence activities. Identity, as well as reputation, is what a man is
acknowledged for, a wide range of wrong decisions will destroy this part of Iago
Why Is Augustus Caesar Important To The Roman
Revolution
To understand Augustus Caesar, it is important to have a glimpse of the Roman
Revolution. During this time, violence and intimidation dominated the government.
Generals used their power to extract money from the locals to fund their political
ambitions. Julius Caesar gained the support of his army and virtually became a
dictator in Rome. Though he accomplished many reforms, he was strongly opposed
by the Senate and in 44 BC he was assassinated by conspirators among them. At this
juncture, Augustusthe chief heir of Julius Caesar, entered Rome s political arena.
Augustus was born on September 24, 63 BC, as Gaius Octavius Thurinus in
Rome, nicknamed Octavius. His father was Gaius Octavius, a governor and a
senator in the Roman Republic. His mother was Atia, the daughter of Julia, Julius
Caesar s sister. His father died when he was only four years old, thus young
Octavius was adopted by his uncle Julius Caesar. This family link between Julius
Caesar and young Octavius played a determinative role in shaping the rest of
Octavius s life. His grandmother Julia greatly influenced his life. It was Octavian s
first public appearance when he delivered his grandmother s eulogy at her funeral.
Augustus was of short stature, but exceedingly handsome. He was well proportioned
and who had that charm rare in rulers grace. He was generally of poor health ... Show

The Ancient Civilization Of Egypt
Egypt was an ancient civilisation found in the northern Africa. Like many early
civilizations, it developed along a river, that being the Nile River. It was important
that it developed along a river such as the Nile because it provided water for
agriculture and drinking, which were necessary for survival in a permanent
settlement or civilization. South of Egyptwas the civilization of Nubia, or Kush. This
was important to Egypt s culture because the back and forth conquering of each
other that went on led to the integration of one another s culture. Egypt adopted
Nubian traditions and vice versa. Egypt was a prominent, African civilization for
roughly 1500 years, being divided into three separate kingdoms, those being Old,
Middle, and New. The Old Kingdom through the New Kingdom lasted from about
2575 b.c.e to 1075 b.c.e. The Old Kingdom was established in roughly 2575 b.c.e.
and lasted to about 2130 b.c.e. During the Old Kingdom, leaders called pharaohs
created a strong, central, organised government for Egypt. Theocratic rule was
present throughout Egyptian government, meaning that Egypt s government was
headed and led by religious leaders. The chief religious adviser to the pharaoh was
their vizier. Pharaohs of the Old Kingdom established a bureaucratic form of
government, meaning it had varying levels of authority and departments tasked with
handling specific objectives. The Middle Kingdom of Egypt endured from
approximately 1938 b.c.e. to 1630 b.c.e. The Middle

Gender Representation In Mulan
Gender Representation in Mulan Gender representation in movies have not
changed over the years movies are generally male dominated with very few movies
where females are the lead. The movie that can be looked into for this topic and a
movie that almost everyone has seen is Disney s Mulan. In Mulan the emperor goes
around asking each family to send one male to join the Chinese army. Mulan knows
that the only male in her family is her elderly father. In this essay we will analyze
how Mulan resists the genderbinary, while the culture tries to enforce it.
Additionally, we ll look at the hegemonic examples of masculinity femininity, how
relationships between people of different genders are presented, and the overall
message the movie communicates to the audience. In the culture at this time the
only thing that the women were good for is having boys to fight in the army and to
stay at home cooking and cleaning. This shows that a woman s role is to get
married and have children they shouldn t do anything else. There are lyrics from a
song in the movie that supports this the are lyrics from a... Show more content on

So Mulan takes matters into her own hands and goes to enlist in the army herself.
To get into the army she poses as a male because if she were to try as herself she
would be denied due to the fact that she is a woman. She ends up traveling with the
army and they treat her as just another man. When her identity ends up revealed to
the army they abandon her in the mountain and they chose to not acknowledge her
existence. These actions that Mulan displays are examples of resistance of the
gender binary. Mulan starts by showing how much she isn t interested in the way
women are supposed to act. As well as in the beginning of the movie Mulan is
being prepped to be chosen as a potential bride to a suitor. Males in this movie are
held at a higher position compared to
Negative Effects Of Technology On Society
Technology is a vital part of today s society. People use everyday talking to friends,
communicating for others, and more. Technology is mostly a negative influence on
people s identities because it grants power without responsibilities, promotes
narcissism, and can be dangerous to others (misuse). Over the years, technology
has become an increasingly integral part of our world. As the numbers of social
media users grew, the population of people who are narcissistic grew as well. A
narcissist is A person who believes they are better than everyone else. add more...
Originally, social media was meant to connect others to each other, like the
telephone has. But now, people are commenting around the clock. Boosting some
people s opinions, and severely degrading others. People are now constantly texting
their friends across the room, when they could easily talk face to face. According to

Emerson s Metaphor Of Self Reliance
Through excellent metaphors, Emerson stresses that you must first trust yourself to
achieve greatness from your own genius, to realize your potential, and to be self
reliant. Your inner genius, when tapped into, allows you to build self reliance.
Some people might argue that you only need to depend on yourself. If you are
totally self reliant you re going to have a narrow perspective because you can only
pull from your own life experiences or from your own family s or community s
involvement. However, I am arguing that Emerson uses strong metaphors to show
that even with a belief in individualismand self reliance, one must also trustother
sources such as society and God.

The individual must also love Him. Emerson states, Love, which is the essence of
God, is not for levity, but for the total worth of man. (1518) You cannot love God
without loving yourself and vice versa. Where there is love, there is trust. God
created society; God created us; we must trust and love all of creation. My friends
have come to me unsought. The great God gave them to me, (1452) says Emerson.
A gift granted by God is worth as much love as one shows himself. I find them, or
rather, not I, but the Deity in me and in them, both deride and cancel the thick walls
of individual character. (1453) Society can become jovial and loving when the trust
and love transcends the physical and becomes part of God. When we are all in tune
and play our notes, the chords sound wonderful and a song plays
Aristotle s Philosophy On The Morality Of War Essay
Throughout history, mankind have fought one another at great cost and for almost
as long as people have been waging war, people have been asking questions
surrounding the morality of war. In ancient Greece Aristotle raised a number of
ideals that he believed should be adhered to, he believed that war needed to be
regulated by a universal community under natural law. He also criticised the desire
to conquer as a valid means of going to war. His views where based on the stoic
tenants of virtue and reason. Aristotle s teaching began to gain traction again in
Europe during the 13th century, some of his teachings conflicted with the ideas of the
Catholic Church which at the time was a major political power. Thomas Aquinasin the
Summa Theologica began to combine the Church s ideals with that of Aristotle s
to present a picture of how war should be. In order for a war to be just, states need
to have the right motivations to go to war and they need to conduct themselves in
a moral way while at war. This idea of Just War has evolved over the years through
theorists such as Vitoria and has been criticised by others such as Erasmus. Now in
the 21st century we have a slightly different much more secularised view of Just war.
Political theorist Brian Orend, suggests that for a war to be truly just it must also
have an ethical end, states must have a valid exit strategy that doesn t leave the
country in chaotic ruins after the war. This essay will refer to numerous contemporary
Heteroglossia
Heteroglossia Langue and linguistic variation
Bakhtin developed the notion in contrast with the structuralist account of language,
which was centered in the notion of langue, that is, the systematic set of rules
determining the well formedness of an expression or utterance. This concept,
introduced by Saussure, emphasised the notion that the code conformed by the
linguistic norms must be common to all speakers for communication to be possible.
This was seen as a dangerous simplification by Bakhtin, who asserted that languages
are internally divided, not simply into regional dialects, but also into many different
strata, corresponding to all possible axes of social division; he thus posited a
minutely nuanced variety of class , ethnia , ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He defines heteroglossia as another s speech in another s language, serving to express
authorial intentions but in a refracted way. Bakhtin identifies the direct narrative of
the author, rather than dialogue between characters, as the primary location of this
conflict.
Languages as points of view
Bakhtin viewed the modern novel as a literary form best suited for the exploitation
of heteroglossia, in direct contrast to epic poetry (and, in a lesser degree, poetry in
general). The linguistic energy of the novel was seen in its expression of the conflict
between voices through their adscription to different elements in the novel s discourse.
Any language, in Bakhtin s view, stratifies into many voices: social dialects,
characteristic group behavior, professional jargons, generic languages, languages of
generations and age groups, tendentious languages, languages of the authorities, of
various circles and of passing fashions. This diversity of voice is, Bakhtin asserts, the
defining characteristic of the novel as a genre.
Traditional stylistics, like epic poetry, do not share the trait of heteroglossia. In
Bakhtin s words, poetry depersonalizes days in language, while prose, as we shall see,
often deliberately intensifies difference between them...

It has been amended twenty seven times. The first ten amendments are known as the
Bill of Rights. It contains valuable freedoms which the founders thought necessary
and were left out of the constitution. The Bill of Rights was ratified on December 15,

drawn a great deal of criticism especially in recent years. The topic of gun control is

All militia members had to provide their own weapons and ammunition. (Harr, Hess,
Orthmann, 2012) This leads to the controversial issue with the Second Amendment.
Was it created at a time when a militia was necessary and thus outdated today? State
militias today are in the form of the Army National Guard and use weapons and
ammunition provided by the federal government. Some believe that this makes the
Second Amendment invalid. If the Second Amendment was written to pertain to the
state militias of the time then it would no longer hold relevance today. However, this
issue was addressed by the Supreme Court in District of Columbia v. Heller. The
Supreme Court has mentioned the Second Amendment in several cases but few
have been directly addressed the scope of the Amendment. District of Columbia v.
Heller involved a dispute over a handgun ban in the District of Columbia (D.C.). In

where your company or country stands, such as the growth, the weight, and the brand.
Chapter 12 dives into the theory of conflict prevention using the analogy of
McDonalds. He states that as of 1999, no two countries that both had McDonalds had
fought a war against each other and that the only three Middle Eastern countries that
do not currently have a McDonalds are Syria, Iran, and Iraq.
Section two ends with the Demolition Man in chapter 13 and The Winner Takes All
in chapter 14. The demolition man is basically the danger that because globalization
is moving so fast and with such force, it could wipe out the ecological and cultural
diversity that took millions of years to produce. It also explains that the gap between
the winner and the loser is getting even bigger because of the effects of globalization.
The two chapters in section three are dealing with the backlash and the groundswell.
The backlashers consist of those who feel threatened by globalization because they

Surveillance And Notification Systems For Haemolytic...
INTRODUCTION The quality and standard of food and water is a universal
objective in food safety and a public health priority. The advent of globalisation has
been chiefly positive, however negative impacts such as pathogen transmission
through exported food can be a risk to population health. The exponential
transmission of Escherichia Colibacteria can transcend geographical and class
barriers, impacting both high and low income societies. A causal link between Shiga
toxin producing E. coli and Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome has been established, due
to the detrimental healthimpacts, this is deemed a high public healthpriority. Ongoing
research, outbreak tracing and other relevant information needs to be maintained and
notified on the syndrome.
Effective surveillance and notification aids stakeholders in policy development,
preventive strategies and funding of treatment programmes. This paper will examine
and evaluate attributes of the surveillance and notification systems for Haemolytic
Uraemic Syndrome in Australia, drawing on international literature and best practice
guidelines. The scope of this evaluation involves investigating actions of the key
stakeholders such as clinicians, state and federal health agencies and patients. In
particular, the Communicable Disease Network in Australia, and OzFoodNet, will
be assessed alongside the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention in America.

Aptamil Marketing Environment Analysis

Mackey Arena Game Analysis
Walking into Mackey Arena is like walking into a basketball shrine, filled with
history. That history is built upon the rivalry between Purdue and the school down
south, Indiana University. On February 28, I was fortunate enough to be in
Mackey Arena for this historical rivalry game and senior night, a game that meant
Purdue could take the Big Ten Title in a win. Purdue did just that, winning 86 to
75. I was very pleased with the game and it exceeded all expectations I had for the
huge rivalry. As a student who has been to every home game this season, I joined
the lottery system prior to the game so that I could get a closer seat than those who
did not do the lottery. The lottery began the night prior to the game where students
camped out outside Mackey s atrium. I asked Sam Kolczak, a student at Purdue
who camped out for the IU game and the Villanova game back on November 14,
2016, what he thought about the student involvement for games at Purdue. Kolczak
said, I love camping out for these games. The people that do it are really cool and I

Purdue this season has had a better season than they have had in the past, finishing at
the top of the Big Ten conference. This conference dominance can be linked to
Caleb Biggie Swanigan making his return for his sophomore year. The year before,
IU had won the conference and Purdue suffered on the road against them. I asked
Kyle Graham, a senior at Purdue University and also a part of the large senior group
who goes to every game, how he felt about his last Purdue IU game as a student.
Graham said, It was actually amazing to see them win and do so in such great
fashion. When I was a freshman, Purdue had finished last in the Big Ten conference.
So, it was almost bitter sweet, I guess, seeing them beat IU for my last home game,
win the Big Ten title, and winning more games than they ever had while I was

understanding that Christmas is the same recognition around the world. On
December 25th, people open gifts, eat a hearty meal, and usually attend some type of
religious ceremony. However, the population may be surprised to find that their just
perception is wrong. Greenland, Jamaica, Zambia have many traditions that recognize
Christmas.
Greenland s observation of Christmas is that the homes should be dressed up with
numerous candles and red orange stars. Unlike the United States, the trees are not to
be light until the first Sunday in Advent (the first Sunday in the recognition of
Christmas); and are not to be taken down until the sixth of January. On December

school as a whole. They serve the students as counselors, act as consultants to
teachers, parents and administrators and coordinate activities to implement the

they need to instill the qualities of Lencioni s model into their interaction with the
individuals they serve. The first item is to build trust among students, parents and
school staff, so that they feel comfortable coming to the counselors to address their
issues or concerns. While confidentiality could be a challenge working with minors,
it should be kept as much as possible. They also need to feel that when they meet
with the school counselors that he or she has the individual s best interest in mind.

The Origin Of Ancient Africa
Africa is the origin of mankind, the early civilizations that migrated throughout the
continent set a basis for studying and understanding why humans will migrate. When
examining the people of ancient Africa, historians identified the fact that many
groups migrated throughout the continent. It became evident that the different
societies had some similarities and influences from one another. The Bantu people
shared a common foundational language, which was a main factor in their expansion
to the west as well as the south. In the northern part of the continent there was a
colonial powerhouse forming. The Egyptian empire migrated along the Nile River in
search for trade routes, which expanded their kingdom and made them stronger. To

The same strategies that helped them become so large, and powerful, led to their
downfall. The process of Egyptian colonial expansion in Africa involved three major
stages. The first was a period of more or less uncoordinated exploration and
plundering, which served to make the Egyptians aware of the economic resources
and opportunities beyond their southern frontier. This was followed by the
establishment of trade relations with a powerful interior chiefdom, backed up by an
Egyptian monopoly of trade on the lower Nile. The Egyptians explored beyond the
borders of their primary colonization, as stated the first period was uncoordinated; it
was simply human nature to explore, and see what there was beyond their borders.
This led to trade relations, and the Egyptians developed a trade monopoly along the
Nile. In turn this helped their economy grow, and expand as a result of their
migration southward. When a historian looks at ancient Egypt he or she can see that
by studying it s migration patterns south, it was able to extend its influence on the
culture and societies that it encountered. In the south the people of Nubia were the
most directly affected by Egyptian occupation. The various natural resources that
were sought after in Nubia by the Egyptians were what led to the empires initial
purpose for migrating further south. As a result, Nubian culture showed evidence of
Pros And Cons Of Increasing Military Spending
Following the controversial win of this year s presidential election, President
Donald Trump s initiates his first budget proposal to be increasing military
spending. More explicitly, he not only seeks to see a sharp $56 billion dollar
increase in military spending, but also to cut funding from nonmilitary programs such
as education, poverty and the environment to name a few. This increase might not
seem like much considering that some can arguable say that an increase of military
spending can create more job opportunity and that protecting our nation at all cost
should be National Security first priority. However, if the bigger picture is being
looked at, funding from many government assistant programs like Medicaid,
Medicare, Social Security... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These people are supposed to work harder and more efficient because they believe
the government has their back. Even though there seems to be many reasons to
believe that higher military spending will bring a better life to people in a short
term, the long run of high defense spending may impede growth and development.
More precisely, high military spending tends to neglect the economy s ability meet
people s basic needs, such as food, housing, and medical services. This can be seen
first hand with trumps budget proposal. His plan, in return for the increase on
military spending, is for the same amount of money to be cut from other various
government and federal programming. Trump s budget would cut off funding
entirely for several agencies, including arts, public broadcasting and development
groups, and proposes steep cuts to agencies like the State Department and
Environmental Protection Agency , says CNN. Virtually every agency will see
some sort of cut, with only Defense, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs getting
a boost, they added. Cutting funding from everyday needed aid programs can make
the government appear to cares less about the life of their citizens and more about
how to make a better weapon. One example is North Korea, despite being a
developing country with lower incomes

including the glass menagerie, unicorn and blue roses. While she is always

fragility. She is fragile to the outside world, easily broken. The unicorn just like
Laura, stands out from the rest of the horses. When she allows Jim to look at it, she
states that she trust him with it. This is symbolizing how she is entrusting herself to
him. When the unicorn was broken by Jim, it also symbolizes how Laura for once is
close to the other girls who has fallen in love. Additionally this also foreshadows how
Laura will be broken by Jim s clumsiness just like the unicorn. Together with the
unicorn, blue roses is also a unnatural thing that rarely exists in the real world. Both of
them symbolizes the uniqueness of Laura in comparison to her surrounding. As
described by the stage directions, she has an unearthly prettiness . Furthermore, the
entrance of Laura is always associated with soft lighting which imitates the soft light
on the Saints in medieval paintings, suggesting her sainthood. In the scene when
Laura is alone with Jim, the only light on stage was the candle that once stood on the
altar of a church, thus again confirming the Christian

The patient is the causality in case of a medical error.
В·Environmental Factors: The hospital is a very busy place. The background noise
can distract the attention of the physicians while they ponder over the right
prescription of a drug. The high demand of a medical profession can be stressful and
lead to fatigue. These possible occupational hazards can contribute to medical errors.
В·Constraints of the System: A doctor is required for the expert opinion by health
care professionals of various disciplines. This multitasking role might not provide the
doctor with the time to read the prescribed drug(s) once again. Sometimes sound
alike names of the drug also cause confusion leading to medical errors.
A corrective plan is designed below to be effective in all departments.
В·Awareness should be built among the doctors and nurses on the risks of medical
errors owing to miscommunications. This can be done by periodically doing policy
review sessions on patient safety.
В·Nurses should be encouraged to question the doctors if a wrong drug is prescribed.
They should also restrain from taking verbal orders. Written signed orders should be
mandated.
В·Workers can be sensitized about the issue by placing posters to spread the message
in their work place.
В·It should be made mandatory for the nurses to read back the documented
prescription to the doctor. It should be signed by the doctor for confirmation after
been reviewed by the druggist.

The First Battle of Bull Run, also known as First Manassas, was the first major

At the beginning of the battle, it appeared that the numbers advantage McDowell
had was a key factor that would secure a Union victory. Union Major General
Robert Patterson and his 18,000 men were to support the operation by preventing
Brigadier General Joseph Johnston s unit of 12,000 Confederate troops from
reinforcing Beauregard. Patterson failed in this endeavor. Johnston s 12,000
Confederate soldiers arrived at the First Battle of Bull Run by way of railroad and
swiftly changed the course of the battle.
This operation hinged on Beauregard s lack of reinforcements, and Patterson s failure
was endemic of the shortcomings in the implementation of a strategy that involved
several moving pieces. McDowell s forces were not trained well enough to maintain
proper command and control throughout the operation. Beauregard s force was
equally untrained; however, he had superior interior lines. While Patterson s
exhausted men moved slowly, Johnston could use the Manassas Gap Railroad to

American Weddings Are Culturally Diverse
American weddings are incredibly diverse. No wedding is the same and that is
what makes these weddings special. The United States is full of many cultures and
the traditions vary for each wedding. Several rituals have become very typical for an
American wedding. The common saying, something old, something new, something
borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe , is supposed to bring
good luck to newlyweds. Modern brides still enjoy finding unique ways of
incorporating these items into their special day. There are other interesting customs
that relate to weddingcake, hiding the bride before her walk down the aisle, and the
groom carrying his new wife. The first part of the popular phrase talks about carrying

A fresh object is supposed to endure, and this item represents a marriage that will last
forever. The couple is looking to the future for health, happiness and success (Allen
2). A bridal dress is most often symbolized as the something new (Sauers NP).
Brides usually never struggle to find an item for this category when planning a
wedding, because most everything is new. The third item recognizes a crucial
lesson that many should learn. It is important for a bride to remember that when
she is in need of help, family and friends will always be there for her ( Bridal
Traditions 10). A token that represents something borrowed , is a great opportunity
for a friend to lend the bride something to show love and compassion (Allen 2).
This symbol refers to borrowing happiness in the form of an item from someone in
a good marriage (Sauers NP). Brides often borrow a clutch, jewelry or a veil. One
woman made a bouquet that included over fifty brooches borrowed from close
family members (Sauers NP). The fourth object listed in the famous English phrase
was something blue . Blue represents faithfulness and loyalty ( Bridal Traditions 10).
Commitment, fidelity, and purity are other words that are also associated with the
color blue. Some wear blue ribbons in their hair to represent their promise to their
new husband (Sauers NP). Sauers writes about a bride that wore a
Analysis Of A Great Deal Of Inequality Within The Scene...
Another difference of opinion could be that Tessie reveals a great deal of
inequality within this scene, that this scene reveals a great amount of gender
inequality in society. For example, the lottery reinforces gender oppression as it is
men such as Mr. Summer, who operates the lottery. Tessie is the one who dies
because of the lottery yet has little agency over in the community s affairs.
Furthermore, since it is Bill who pulls the slip of paper from the box, the narrative is
reinforcing the notion of genderinequality found within religion. In fact, Tessie
acknowledges this paradox of her predicament as that she yells You didn t give him
time enough to take any paper he wanted. I saw you. It wasn t fair! (text). It is at this
moment that Tessie is acknowledging the duality of the lottery. Tessie is placing the
blame of her results upon her husband s inability to pull an arbitrary slip of paper
from the box. Moreover, Tessie reveals that she lives almost abstracted from the
events of the community since her husband is the partaking in the event and Tessie is
gossiping with her friends. Furthermore, the communities gender inequalityoccurs as
Tessie draws the final black spot and is stoned to death. The act of being chosen by
the lottery and Tessie s inability to hold a voice against the machine that causes her
demise is a paradox of gender inequality and being women within a community, that
only includes the female gender when convenient.
Furthermore, Tessie s
History Of Korean Comfort Women

sponsored prostitution that frequently takes place on military bases. During World
War Two Japan recruited hundreds of thousands of women, over 80% of which were

existence of comfort womenfor years. Although the fight to bring justice to the
victims of the comfort system has been ongoing since the 1980 s and 1990 s it is
even more pertinent as the 50th anniversary of the normalization agreement, which

The UN Commission found after their investigation that Japan had, at the very least,
violated the International Labor Organization convention against forced labor that
they had ratified in 1932. From 1993 94 the Japanese government tried unsuccessfully
to establish a system to raise compensation funds from NGO s which the movement

the Murayama plan to pay victims out of a private fund that many women who were

they could not use the evidence of violation found by the UN because international

humanity and charged Japan with institutionalized sex slavery based on the

Characteristics Of Beowulf A Savior To The People

Characteristics of Beowulf

According to the background of Beowulf, it is said that the name includes tow
meaning. The first one, Beo , is the short name in Nordic lexics, wulf is equal to
wolf , thus, it could be translated as the wolf of the north ; second one is, the
meaning of Beo is equal to Bear in English, it implied that to be a man as strong as
the bear. In fact, Beowulf deserves a name like that, a man who dares to against the
vicious side without fear and dares to die. Throughout three battles, he never holds
back before the peril, and to do everything in his power during the fight either
enemy or fellow. In the initial fight with Grendel, he is unarmed and in one on one
combat, eventually, he tears Grendel s arm apart and bring the head as trophy of
triumph. The second battle is with Grendel s mother, one with full of hatred to
Beowulf, they fight under the water for a long time; incredibly, Beowulf won and
killed Grendel s mother. The third fight with the dragon, no matter how weak
Beowulf is, even his braveness support him to hit dragon mortally, unfortunately he
is injured and betrayed by the warriors he trusted. Nevertheless, the spirit of never

courage is similar to Samurai spirit in Bushido from Japan. In Samurai spirit,

of his novels, including several years working as a whaler and spending numerous
adventures in the Pacific Islands. Hence, the sea and its environment are
fundamental in the work of Melville. The origin of his novella, Benito Cereno , is
a real fact collected in a chapter of A Narrative of Voyages and Travels, in the
Northern and Southern Hemispheres, chronicle of trips published in Boston, in
1817, by the North American captain Amasa Delano (1763 1823). As a matter of
fact, Melville even preserved the real name of the captain so as to assign it to one of
his characters. Melville reproduced the anecdote almost literally, and only altered a
few details of the chronicle. Perhaps his intention was not to write a plain account of
marine adventures, but to take advantage of the singularity of this fictionalized fact to
express his personal moral reflections on human behaviour. Through his main
characters, Melville portrayed human behaviour common to every person without
distinction of race, nationality, language, culture, or social class. Conducts that, on
occasions, are worthy of praise; while in others, it is illustrated the cruel testimonies
of the vile condition of human nature. Behaviour is conditioned according to oneВґs
doing and perspective. Like some scholars have stated, many find Babo evil, just as
others find the captain of the slave ship, Benito Cereno, and the liberal, Delano, evil.
Defenders of a culture based on slaverywill necessarily find the struggle against
slavery evil (Leslie and Stuckey 297). Generally speaking, conduct is a subjective
issue which depends on the eye of the beholder. What determined BaboВґs and his
fellows behaviour was their situation of slavery, which triggers all the problems that
the San Dominick goes through, and not the supposed evil of the blacks, torn from
Africa. The perception of what is good and what is bad is ambiguous and
changeable, it is attached to several factors and experiences that are involved in the
discovery

sisters are completely supportive of the other sister. The definition of the terms
Sense and Sensibility are complete opposites. Sense is using logic in order to come
to some sort of conclusion. The term Sensibility is relying on one s emotions when
making a reacting to a situation or circumstance. The main characters in Sense and
Sensibilityhave opposite reactions when referring to situations. However, the
Dashwood sisters don t pass judgment and their differences actually bring them closer.

The Dashwood sister s support each other, even when the other doesn t yet know the
reasoning behind the decisions. Although the two sisters aren t compatible in their
reactions they continue to have a close relationship. The novel addresses the two
sisters as a positive comparison. The novel doesn t pin the sisters against one another,
but rather describes how the characters react to each situations. The two sisters
respect each other and their reactions to situations. They don t envy the others
decisions, but they understand the others motives for their reactions. They never talk
down to or about the other sister for their actions that involve their sense or
sensibility personality traits. They respect each other, and it s important for their
relationship that they ve never tried to change the other sister. Perhaps, the sisters
learn from each other and grow as individuals. Elinor learns to have more sensibility
in her life. Marianne learns to react to situations with more logic, which is a sense
characteristic.
The passage of the novel that relates to the characteristic of sense is chapter 22.
This chapter explains the reactions of Elinor as she finds out about Lucy and
Edward s secret engagement. Edward is Elinor s love interest. They spend a lot of
their time together and really bonded. She keeps her composure when hearing the
news from Lucy. She doesn t react erratically. She thinks the situation

Common Symptoms and Damages of Measles Essay
The Latin name for measles is rubeola. The pathogen which causes the disease is a
paramyxovirus, which is one of a group of RNA (ribonucleic acid) viruses.
Measles is a respiratory disease caused by a virus, and also comes out in a rash. The

It is very important to immunise against this disease not only because it is a very

The most serious of these is obviously death, and people can and do die from

Also measles can cause deafness because of the inner ear infection.
Another long term damage of measles could be SSPE (Subacute Sclerosing
Panencaphilitis). This can occur 2 to 10 years after contracting the measles virus, this
results in progressive neurological deterioration because of brain inflammation.
Common side effects of the vaccine
Although it is very important to immunise against this disease, the vaccine does
have side effects, and no vaccine is completely safe. The Measles vaccine is given as
part of the MMR vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps and rubella. The
common and less severe side effects are; fever; mild rash; temporary pain or stiffness

Cinderella And Princess Culture In Poniewozik s
Cinderella...
In our society today, it is common perception that every young girl aspires to grow
up and live in a big castle with her true love, otherwise known as Prince Charming.
She wants to look beautiful, feel beautiful, and live happily ever after. Many parents
in recent years are wondering whether or not this is what they should be teaching
their daughters. Should parents be showing their children movies in which only the
prettiest can succeed by finding their true love? In the article Cinderellaand Princess

young girls. She believes these movies teach all the wrong lessons, like judging
oneself based on looks rather than teaching them to live independently.... Show more

In the articles, The Princess Paradox and Cinderella and Princess Culture, it is
evident that the lessons taught through princess movies are the main discrepancies
between the two authors. The authors both acknowledge that young girls will, at
some point in their lives, aspire to be a princess, and no matter how hard you try to
stop it, it is inevitably going to happen in the end. While Orenstein is aware that
young girls will, sooner or later, see a princess movie and absorb the lessons that it
teaches, she argues that these lessons must be adapted into more valuable ones. On
the other hand, Poniewozik believes that these types of lessons are already being
incorporated into the newer films. Although Orenstein uses personal anecdotes and
her experience as both a mother and a New York Times best selling author to
persuade her point, Poniewozik is very efficient in showing specific examples of
movies with good qualities that make the reader consider his
The Negative Impacts Of The Reformation
The Reformation was perhaps the greatest religious movement in Christ since the
early church. It revived the Biblical and New Testament thoeological studies. b) a
negative effect of the reformation could be the disunity of the church. When the
church was all one, we at least had some since of fellowship. But now, all of the
churches have their own little groups and we condemn other churches for not being
the same as your denomination. We should all come together as a body of Christ
and unify instead of break apart. c) Although Christians can believe indifferent
doctrines, the way we serve God doesn t necessarily matter if you believe he died for
your sins. If we can come together and can be unified in our faith, then I believe
Christ will expand to different people. Also, if you have faith, then you should have
unity, and vise versa. d) There is a time for division in the body of Christ. When a
church group is denying scripture and, after being confronted, still continues their
same practice, then it is time to break fellowship with that group. This has happened
with the Metropolitan Community Church denomination which openly advocates the
support of homosexuality. Also, there is an Evangelical Lutheran church that is
thinking about accepting homosexual relationships into church. At this point it is ok
to draw the line and say enough is enough. e) Tolerance has to do with permitting and
allowing, and putting up with, while love is active and has to do with concern for

The Major Components Of Crime Prevention
In this essay I have been tasked to describe the major components of crime
prevention. You might think that this is an easy thing to do however, there are
many aspects to crime prevention and in order to define it we need to have an
understanding of what crime prevention is. In this essay I will give you my
definition of what crimeprevention is as well as describe the major components of
crime prevention. I will explain the relationship of crime prevention to the Criminal
JusticeSystem. I will then give you two or more institutions through which crime
prevention programs and practices are delivered and then lastly I will utilize
examples to support my discussion. My definition of crime prevention is the attempt
or effort of a government to reduce and deter crime and criminals. It also
encompasses the effort to enforce the law and uphold criminal justice. Crime
prevention is an integral part of most of the components that make up the Criminal
Justice System. The Criminal Justice System has five components and they are; law
enforcement, prosecutors, defense attorneys, courts, and corrections. The one
component that I do not believe crime prevention is a part of is defense attorneys. For
each other component however, crime prevention I believe is close to the end state
for each component. The relationship of crime prevention to each component in the
Criminal Justice System starts with law enforcement. The PoliceOfficer is the first
line of defense against crime.
Performance Management Process And Employee
Development
Abstract
This research paper presents the research results of performance models of
management by objectives. This paper also addressed: 1) performance management
philosophy, 2) performance management process and employee development, and 3)
performance management and compensation.
Keyword: performance, development, compensation Research and summarize
relevant performance models
An effective model of performance management system focuses on identifying,
measuring and dealing with employee s performance. Traditionally, performance
management system is viewed to be a the responsibility of immediate supervisor, a
process for establishing a shared understanding about what is to be achieved, and how
it is to be achieved, and an approach to managing people that increases the probability
of achieving success. However, There s no single universally accepted model of
performance management system. This section summarized the research results of
three different performance management systems.
Management by objectives ( MBOs )
MBOs is a type of performance management system that requires the manager and
employee to identify employee goals as they relate to the overall business. For
example, a sales representative s objectives may include increasing revenue by 25
percent in 12 months. The employee determines how best to achieve this goal and
establishes a timeline for the tasks she needs to accomplish to increase revenue:
improve sales and decrease costs. Often, MBOs track
Turning Japanese Heidi Julavits Analysis
Before you know it, spending enough time in a country that is foreign to you, with
their custom surrounding you everyday, you will realize you are one with the
culture. Heidi Julavits , Turning Japanese entertains the reader with her story and
experience after college. Julavits graduated from Dartmouth during the Gulf War
when recession was prominent and the feeling of uncertainty was common
throughout. Because of the ambiguity of her future, she decided to travel to Japan
and teach English, in search of self awareness. The goal of self awareness derives
from the Japanese belief system, Zen Buddhism. Julavits knew that in order to
relieve herself from that uncertain feeling, she must practice this. To exercise this
theory, she taught English. It was the only skill she was confident in. Living in Japan
she realized what she missed immensely were the American sweets. The only thing
she got out of living in Japan, was the feeling of contentment after eating two bean
cakes everyday. She characterizes, so called contentment when I have no pointed

Two months after being satisfied by bean cakes, she claims to have been, spiritually

When you have over indulged, it is natural to grow tired of it. I do think contentment
exists in American culture, just not in the form Julavits used it. A greater example of
contentment is a perfectionist genuinely feeling satisfied with their work. That is
contentment. Not excess indulgement until your craving is

At first glance, the topic may seem straightforward, emphasizing the importance of individuals imparting knowledge to others. However, delving deeper into the subject reveals a complex web of social, educational, and cultural implications. One of the primary difficulties lies in striking the right balance between the personal and the universal. How does one encapsulate the essence of the phrase "Each One Teach One" while accounting for the diverse contexts in which this philosophy may be applied? The need to navigate between individual anecdotes and broader societal considerations demands a nuanced approach to ensure the essay resonates with a varied audience. Moreover, addressing the historical and contemporary significance of the mantra adds another layer of complexity. The roots of "Each One Teach One" can be traced back to African-American oral traditions and the commitment to education within marginalized communities. Navigating this historical context requires a sensitive touch to capture the spirit of resilience and empowerment that underpins the phrase. Additionally, conveying the practical implications of the concept necessitates a thorough examination of educational methodologies and social structures. Discussing how the philosophy translates into actionable initiatives, whether in formal educational settings or community-based learning, requires a comprehensive understanding of diverse teaching methods and their impact. The challenge extends to striking a tone that inspires without sounding didactic. The essay should not just inform but also motivate readers to embrace the ethos of "Each One Teach One" in their own lives. Balancing conviction with openness to different interpretations becomes crucial in fostering a sense of shared responsibility for education. In conclusion, while the topic of "Each One Teach One" may initially seem straightforward, the essay-writing process unveils layers of intricacy. Gender Representation In Mulan Gender Representation in Mulan Gender representation in movies have not changed over the years movies are generally male dominated with very few movies where females are the lead. The movie that can be looked into for this topic and a movie that almost everyone has seen is Disney s Mulan. In Mulan the emperor goes around asking each family to send one male to join the Chinese army. Mulan knows that the only male in her family is her elderly father. In this essay we will analyze how Mulan resists the genderbinary, while the culture tries to enforce it. Additionally, we ll look at the hegemonic examples of masculinity femininity, how relationships between people of different genders are presented, and the overall message the movie communicates to the audience. In the culture at this time the only thing that the women were good for is having boys to fight in the army and to stay at home cooking and cleaning. Emerson s Metaphor Of Self Reliance Through excellent metaphors, Emerson stresses that you must first trust yourself to achieve greatness from your own genius, to realize your potential, and to be self reliant. Your inner genius, when tapped into, allows you to build self reliance. Some people might argue that you only need to depend on yourself. If you are totally self reliant you re going to have a narrow perspective because you can only pull from your own life experiences or from your own family s or community s involvement. However, I am arguing that Emerson uses strong metaphors to show that even with a belief in individualismand self reliance, one must also trustother sources such as society and God. • 15. Aristotle s Philosophy On The Morality Of War Essay Throughout history, mankind have fought one another at great cost and for almost as long as people have been waging war, people have been asking questions surrounding the morality of war. In ancient Greece Aristotle raised a number of ideals that he believed should be adhered to, he believed that war needed to be regulated by a universal community under natural law. He also criticised the desire to conquer as a valid means of going to war. His views where based on the stoic tenants of virtue and reason. Aristotle s teaching began to gain traction again in Europe during the 13th century, some of his teachings conflicted with the ideas of the Catholic Church which at the time was a major political power. Thomas Aquinasin the Summa Theologica began to combine the Church s ideals with that of Aristotle s to present a picture of how war should be. In order for a war to be just, states need to have the right motivations to go to war and they need to conduct themselves in a moral way while at war. This idea of Just War has evolved over the years through theorists such as Vitoria and has been criticised by others such as Erasmus. Now in the 21st century we have a slightly different much more secularised view of Just war. Political theorist Brian Orend, suggests that for a war to be truly just it must also have an ethical end, states must have a valid exit strategy that doesn t leave the country in chaotic ruins after the war. • 16. Heteroglossia Heteroglossia Langue and linguistic variation Bakhtin developed the notion in contrast with the structuralist account of language, which was centered in the notion of langue, that is, the systematic set of rules determining the well formedness of an expression or utterance. This concept, introduced by Saussure, emphasised the notion that the code conformed by the linguistic norms must be common to all speakers for communication to be possible. This was seen as a dangerous simplification by Bakhtin, who asserted that languages are internally divided, not simply into regional dialects, but also into many different strata, corresponding to all possible axes of social division; he thus posited a minutely nuanced variety of class , ethnia , ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He defines heteroglossia as another s speech in another s language, serving to express authorial intentions but in a refracted way. Bakhtin identifies the direct narrative of the author, rather than dialogue between characters, as the primary location of this conflict. Languages as points of view Bakhtin viewed the modern novel as a literary form best suited for the exploitation of heteroglossia, in direct contrast to epic poetry (and, in a lesser degree, poetry in general). The linguistic energy of the novel was seen in its expression of the conflict between voices through their adscription to different elements in the novel s discourse. Any language, in Bakhtin s view, stratifies into many voices: social dialects, characteristic group behavior, professional jargons, generic languages, languages of generations and age groups, tendentious languages, languages of the authorities, of various circles and of passing fashions. This diversity of voice is, Bakhtin asserts, the defining characteristic of the novel as a genre. Traditional stylistics, like epic poetry, do not share the trait of heteroglossia. In Bakhtin s words, poetry depersonalizes days in language, while prose, as we shall see, often deliberately intensifies difference between them... Extending his

State militias today are in the form of the Army National Guard and use weapons and ammunition provided by the federal government. Some believe that this makes the Second Amendment invalid. If the Second Amendment was written to pertain to the state militias of the time then it would no longer hold relevance today. The Egyptians explored beyond the borders of their primary colonization, as stated the first period was uncoordinated; it was simply human nature to explore, and see what there was beyond their borders. This led to trade relations, and the Egyptians developed a trade monopoly along the Nile. In turn this helped their economy grow, and expand as a result of their migration southward. When a historian looks at ancient Egypt he or she can see that by studying it s migration patterns south, it was able to extend its influence on the culture and societies that it encountered. In the south the people of Nubia were the most directly affected by Egyptian occupation. The various natural resources that were sought after in Nubia by the Egyptians were what led to the empires initial purpose for migrating further south. As a result, Nubian culture showed evidence of

More explicitly, he not only seeks to see a sharp $56 billion dollar increase in military spending, but also to cut funding from nonmilitary programs such as education, poverty and the environment to name a few. This increase might not seem like much considering that some can arguable say that an increase of military spending can create more job opportunity and that protecting our nation at all cost should be National Security first priority. These people are supposed to work harder and more efficient because they believe the government has their back. Even though there seems to be many reasons to believe that higher military spending will bring a better life to people in a short term, the long run of high defense spending may impede growth and development. More precisely, high military spending tends to neglect the economy s ability meet people s basic needs, such as food, housing, and medical services. This can be seen first hand with trumps budget proposal. His plan, in return for the increase on military spending, is for the same amount of money to be cut from other various government and federal programming. Trump s budget would cut off funding entirely for several agencies, including arts, public broadcasting and development groups, and proposes steep cuts to agencies like the State Department and Environmental Protection Agency , says CNN. Virtually every agency will see some sort of cut, with only Defense, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs getting a boost, they added. Cutting funding from everyday needed aid programs can make the government appear to cares less about the life of their citizens and more about how to make a better weapon. One example is North Korea, despite being a developing country with lower incomes

Another difference of opinion could be that Tessie reveals a great deal of inequality within this scene, that this scene reveals a great amount of gender inequality in society. For example, the lottery reinforces gender oppression as it is men such as Mr. Summer, who operates the lottery. Tessie is the one who dies because of the lottery yet has little agency over in the community s affairs. Furthermore, since it is Bill who pulls the slip of paper from the box, the narrative is reinforcing the notion of genderinequality found within religion. In fact, Tessie acknowledges this paradox of her predicament as that she yells You didn t give him time enough to take any paper he wanted. I saw you. It wasn t fair! (text). It is at this moment that Tessie is acknowledging the duality of the lottery. Tessie is placing the blame of her results upon her husband s inability to pull an arbitrary slip of paper from the box. • 37. Human Behavior In Herman Melville s Benito Cereno Herman Melville (1819 1891) was an American writer considered one of the great authors of universal literature. Being just twenty years old, he began a series of trips around the world that would later serve as the base and inspiration for some of his novels, including several years working as a whaler and spending numerous adventures in the Pacific Islands. Hence, the sea and its environment are fundamental in the work of Melville. The origin of his novella, Benito Cereno , is a real fact collected in a chapter of A Narrative of Voyages and Travels, in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, chronicle of trips published in Boston, in 1817, by the North American captain Amasa Delano (1763 1823). As a matter of fact, Melville even preserved the real name of the captain so as to assign it to one of his characters. Melville reproduced the anecdote almost literally, and only altered a few details of the chronicle. Perhaps his intention was not to write a plain account of marine adventures, but to take advantage of the singularity of this fictionalized fact to express his personal moral reflections on human behaviour. Through his main characters, Melville portrayed human behaviour common to every person without distinction of race, nationality, language, culture, or social class. Conducts that, on occasions, are worthy of praise; while in others, it is illustrated the cruel testimonies of the vile condition of human nature. Behaviour is conditioned according to oneВґs doing and perspective. Like some scholars have stated, many find Babo evil, just as others find the captain of the slave ship, Benito Cereno, and the liberal, Delano, evil. Defenders of a culture based on slaverywill necessarily find the struggle against slavery evil (Leslie and Stuckey 297). Generally speaking, conduct is a subjective issue which depends on the eye of the beholder. What determined BaboВґs and his fellows behaviour was their situation of slavery, which triggers all the problems that the San Dominick goes through, and not the supposed evil of the blacks, torn from Africa. The perception of what is good and what is bad is ambiguous and changeable, it is attached to several factors and experiences that are involved in the discovery

It revived the Biblical and New Testament thoeological studies. b) a negative effect of the reformation could be the disunity of the church. When the church was all one, we at least had some since of fellowship. But now, all of the churches have their own little groups and we condemn other churches for not being the same as your denomination. We should all come together as a body of Christ and unify instead of break apart. c) Although Christians can believe indifferent doctrines, the way we serve God doesn t necessarily matter if you believe he died for your sins. If we can come together and can be unified in our faith, then I believe Christ will expand to different people. Also, if you have faith, then you should have unity, and vise versa. d) There is a time for division in the body of Christ. When a church group is denying scripture and, after being confronted, still continues their same practice, then it is time to break fellowship with that group. This has happened with the Metropolitan Community Church denomination which openly advocates the support of homosexuality. Also, there is an Evangelical Lutheran church that is thinking about accepting homosexual relationships into church. At this point it is ok to draw the line and say enough is enough. e) Tolerance has to do with permitting and allowing, and putting up with, while love is active and has to do with concern for

  • 50. The Major Components Of Crime Prevention In this essay I have been tasked to describe the major components of crime prevention. You might think that this is an easy thing to do however, there are many aspects to crime prevention and in order to define it we need to have an understanding of what crime prevention is. In this essay I will give you my definition of what crimeprevention is as well as describe the major components of crime prevention. I will explain the relationship of crime prevention to the Criminal JusticeSystem. I will then give you two or more institutions through which crime prevention programs and practices are delivered and then lastly I will utilize examples to support my discussion. My definition of crime prevention is the attempt or effort of a government to reduce and deter crime and criminals. It also encompasses the effort to enforce the law and uphold criminal justice. Crime prevention is an integral part of most of the components that make up the Criminal Justice System. The Criminal Justice System has five components and they are; law enforcement, prosecutors, defense attorneys, courts, and corrections. The one component that I do not believe crime prevention is a part of is defense attorneys. For each other component however, crime prevention I believe is close to the end state for each component. The relationship of crime prevention to each component in the Criminal Justice System starts with law enforcement. The PoliceOfficer is the first line of defense against crime.
