Reducing Invasive Species
Do people ever wonder why there are flowers that are just there on the side of the
road and nowhere else? That is because they are invasive. Some people think those
flowers should stay until nature takes care of them. Others think people should take
steps to remove them or atleast reduce them. I believe taking steps to help restore the
original species will reduce environment change, animal invasions, and native

First, reducing environment change is a good step towards getting rid of invasive

Hurricane Katrina was devastating. My sister s husband was a lifeguard when
that occurred. He saved a couple lives but felt as if he failed since he couldn t save

national governments were and the large amount of deaths that took place. I

The Sistine Chapel Choir
Since the late 1400s, the Sistine Chapel Choir has consisted of 24 male singers.
These singers are split into four different parts soprano, alto, tenor and bass with 6
singers in for each part. The soprano and alto would consist of the upper range and
tenor and bass would be the lower range. The high voices consist of men that could
sing in the falsetto range or men who unfortunately was snipped in order to keep
their voices in that range. Those men were later replaced by boys in the 1800s but
the choir still remains all males.

This is what makes Mrs. Ballard s diary so important. Her journal demonstrates
how she chose an occupation that gives her complete authority over her own
actions and career choices, which was rare in the Early Republic Era. Her being a
midwife let her dictate the jobs that she did and did not accept. Martha gets the
honor of showing the world that women of her time did all they could to be as
independent as possible. In The Midwife s Tale, Laurel Ulrich explains, She
gardened, sewed, cared for her grandchildren, nursed the sick, laid out the dead, and

their profitability up and made poor strategic decisions on how to deal with all the
changes in technology that made their traditional model of making most of their

Today s teenagers are different from the past teenagers because of the time and the
prosperity of the technology. In the past, there was little equipment and technology,
so they had to try their best to do the routines. But nowadays, I think that technology
makes routines easier than before like listening to music, games and photography.
The difference between listening to the music in the past and current. In the past,
about the year 1990, Thailand was not very technologically advanced. Equipment
related to electronics was expensive. If they wanted to collect the songs of their
famous singer, they needed to buy a cassette of the album. Even though they only
liked one song, they had to buy the whole album. Each tape was expensive. When a
singer made a new song, they needed to buy more. And if they brought only the tape,
they could not listen to the music. They needed a tape player that came with a radio
which was more expensive than tape. If teens did not have enough money to buy,
they have to call the dj on the radio so that they can play it through the radio.
Currently they just use the phone and listen to music. If they like that music, they can
buy only that song. Or they can listen to music on the Internet as YouTube or 4share,
and they can download it when there is no Internet without paying.

Pygmalion and My Fair Lady: A Comparison George Bernard Shaw s Pygmalion
(1916) and the 1964 American film My Fair Lady, based on Shaw s play, are largely
similar in plot and character choice; My Fair Lady being an adaptation of Pygmalion.
Shaw s Pygmalion is based on the Greek myth of Pygmalion and his statue Galatea.
The film interpretation is similar to the play in many aspects, though it is different
in that, because it is a film, the creators had more liberty with scenes and props used.
My Fair Lady is a successful movie adaptation of Shaw s Pygmalion in that it
conveys most of the message Shaw wrote, introduced very similar characters and
storyline; however, the film adds in musical elements, more extravagant examples
of scenes, and slightly different themes and emotional responses than the play
itself has to offer audiences. My Fair Lady is basically a straight adaptation of
Pygmalion much of the script is the same dialogue as the play exactly, or with a
few words changed, and takes direct quotes from Shaw s writing. The characters
have the same names that Shaw gave them, and their personalities are quite the
same in both the play and the film. Directors did not leave any character mentioned
in the play out of the movie, even if they were only spotted for a very fleeting
moment, like the women of the Eynsford Hill family at the horse race. The
