Solutions to Hair Loss in Men and Women Essay
According to Relevant Research, Inc and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, 35
million men and 21 million women in the United States were experiencing hair loss as of July 2013.
Hair loss can have many causes and subsequently there are many solutions. People experiencing hair
loss will go to great measures to reverse their hair loss. 47% of hair loss suffers said they would give
up their life savings to regain a full head of hair and 60% said they would rather have more hair than
money or friends. With those statistics, it is no surprise that that the worldwide revenue for surgical
hair restoration alone is $1.87 billion. However, not all hair loss solutions are a match for everyone
and some do not provide the results ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second most common type of hair loss is telogen effluvium. Effluviums commonly affect
different phases of the hair growth cycle. Hair follicles on the scalp do not constantly produce hair.
The follicles cycle through a growth stage that can last two or more years, they then revert to a resting
stage for up to two months before starting to grow new hair again. At any time on a healthy scalp
about 80% to 90% of the hair follicles are growing hair. This active stage of hair growth is called the
anagen phase. This also means that at any given time 10% to 20% of the follicles on the scalp are in a
resting stage called telogen, where they are not producing any hair. Telogen effluvium occurs when
there is a significant change in the number of hair follicles in the anagen phase. When this happens,
more hair is in the telogen phase, which results in telogen effluvium, or shedding. The cause of this
type of hair loss is not always easy to discover, as it may be a result of stress, postpartum alopecia,
vaccinations, extreme or quick weight loss, physical trauma and/or diet. Fortunately, people
experiencing telogen effuvium will not suffer permanent hair loss because it is fully reversible and
they will not completely lose their hair but rather they may see their hair become much thinner. . Most
people suffering form telogen effuvium will see a

The Value Of Evaluate Ability Defined By Fornell And...
In discriminant validity methodology proposed by Fornell and Larcker (1981) shows that the value of
square root of AVE should exceed the construct correlations with all other constructs (Table 3). To
measure the internal consistency of the constructs, the values of composite reliability (CR) (Werts et
al., 1974; Raykov, 1997) and Cronbach s alpha is carried out, supposed to be under estimate scale
reliability with the recommended threshold criterion of .70 for both (Nunnally, 1978). The resulted
value of composite reliability lies in between the.81 . 95 and for Cronbach s alpha, the values lie in
between.67 and.97 (Table 2). All these values are computed from a confirmatory factor analysis using

Therefore, the hypotheses H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H8 were accepted. Whereas, the resulted value for
perceived environmental behaviour (ÎČ= .022; t value= .352; p=.470) and perceived environmental
problem (ÎČ= −.011; t value= .704; p=.399) shows negative and insignificant effect on customer
willingness to adoption. Therefore, the hypotheses H6 and H7 were rejected.
5. Discussion and conclusion
This research provides some valuable insight on relationship between environmental aspect and
willingness of consumers to adopt the solar lighting system. The result of the study shows the
differential effect of environment on willingness of adoption of solar lighting system which confirms
the previous studies. A common tendency among rural consumer is to collect the information
regarding a product from friends relative and their neighbours. They rely on their opinion before
purchase the product Positive opinion of neighbours relatives and friends has positive impact in
adaptation of the solar energy. Another reason for the investment in solar lighting system is symbolic
offering a way to demonstrate an ecological lifestyle to neighbours and friends (Palm and Tangvard

Personal Statement Of Faith By God
PERSONAL STATEMENT OF FAITH
As a man purchased by God through his Son, I believe it is necessary to clearly state, in a concise
manner, the closed handed truths I believe as guided by Scripture. My Statement of Faith summarizes
essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and guards me from potential error.
I affirm these gospel truths, with the understanding that my confidence in these truths grows
progressively over time. These beliefs are great cause for joy. Far more than just words on a page, they
are precious gifts from God.
I. The Scriptures.
I believe that the 66 books of the Bible are God s word revealed to us, written by God s apostles and
prophets. In its original manuscripts it contains truth without error as it unfolds the story of God his
creation, our fall, his redemption and restoration; therefore it is, and will remain to the end of the
world, the true center of Christian union. The Scriptures are the supreme standard by which all human
conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
II. The Triune God.
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God. He is an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the
Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible
worship, trust, and love. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but complimentary offices in
the great work of redemption.

Holes by Louis Sachar
People Can Do Extraordinary Things When Put To The Test
He thought only about each step when it came, and not the impossible task that lay before him. Higher
and higher he climbed. His strength came from deep inside himself and also seemed to come from the
outside as well.
People can do extraordinary things when put to the test. The author of the book Holes , Louis Sachar
packed this book with many difficult tests for his characters. However when put to the test, they
achieved extraordinary results. In this book, Hector Zeroni (nicknamed Zero ), the friend of the
protagonist, Stanley, is determined to overcome his hurdle of not knowing how to read, Stanley is
forced to dig large holes everyday in the sun, and Miss Walker ... Show more content on

When put to the test, he was able to do extraordinary things. Stanley was not a very fit person. His
skin was soft and unused to work, he was large and was not healthy. Like all the other boys at the
camp, he didn t enjoy digging holes, but because of his unhealthy condition, it was much harder for
him to do so. Because he was forced to do something he couldn t do easily or well, he was being put
to the test. However, after a few weeks digging, he realised that He was a lot stronger than when he
first arrived. His body had adjusted somewhat to the heat and hard conditions. When put to the test,
Stanley s fat and unhealthy body took advantage of his predicament, and made him better physically
and emotionally. Emotionally because if he ever came to another seemingly impossible task, he would
know that he would be able to achieve it just like he managed to dig all those holes. The strengthening
of his mind and body helped Stanley carry Hector up God s Thumb more easily without being daunted
and having doubts about his ability. When put to the test, Stanley was able to do extraordinary things.
Miss Walker was not a pleasant person, but when tested, she could do extraordinary things. Her
Grandparents, Charles and Linda Walker, were determined to find the treasure of the outlaw, Kate
Barlow, and when the responsibility of the search for it was past down to her, she realised, like Hector
did, that she needed help. Her extraordinary deed was to set up a

Essay on The Effects of Testosterone and Steroids
Anabolic androgenic steroid is a family of lipophilic hormone that derived from cholesterol, which
includes the natural male hormone testosterone and its synthetic derivatives, such as nandrolone and
androsterone (Janjic et al. 2012; Basile et al. 2013). Testosterone is the principle molecule that
possesses both anabolic and androgenic properties, which semantically refers to the ability to
stimulate the synthesis of complex biological molecules and the growth of masculine characteristics
respectively (Quan et al. 2011). The supplement of testosterone has been used in medicine as an
effective treatment of hypogonadism or severe muscle catabolism since its discovery. However, due to
the poor efficacy in the form of oral medication and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, the same research postulates that testosterone inhibits the differentiation of preadipocytes
to adipocytes and, hence, reduces the fat cell formation. These research findings are cohesive with the
physiological fact that males with normal level of testosterone, in general, would have lower
percentage of body fat than females due a small amount of testosterone is produced in ovaries and
adrenal glands in females (Schanzer 1996).
Testosterone Effect on Muscle Synthesis
Studies have observed that the fat free mass and the rate of muscle synthesis in both hypogonadal men
and eugonadal men is associated with levels of prevalent testosterone in the body (Bhasin et al. 2001;
Sinha Hikim et al 2004). One research also proves that the number of myonuclear and myosatellite
cells, the precursor of skeletal muscle, increase in direct correlation with the change in total and free
concentration of testosterone (Bhasin et al. 2003 and Sinha Hikim et al. 2004). These studies
demonstrate that testosterone has a positive effect on myogenesis, a process of mammalian skeletal
muscle formation.
Sinha Hikim et al. observe that testosterone induces skeletal muscle hypertrophy, increasing the size
of both type I and type II muscle fibers, by acting at multiple sites within the muscle through multiple
mechanisms (Sinha Hikim et al 2004). Their study found that

The Institution Of Slavery And Attitudes Towards It...
Question 1 The institution of slavery and attitudes towards it changed dramatically in the late 18th and
early 19th centuries. Describe the changes and explain the various arguments made for and against the
expansion of slavery. Who, if anyone, was arguing for abolition and who was defending the institution
of slavery? Finally, in your opinion was their room for compromise on the issue of slavery that could
have averted conflict? Why or why not?
From as far back as history goes there has been slavery and the sad fact is that even today slavery is
still part of society. In the 18th and 19th century the largest movement for abolishing slavery took
place. Many notable men in history spoke out against slavery and helped to fuel the fire of the pro
slavery groups. Benjamin Franklin said Slavery is such an atrocious debasement of human nature, that
its very extirpation, if not performed with solicitous care, may sometimes open a source of serious
evils. (Franklin, 1789) Thomas Jefferson once said, But, as it is, we have the wolf by the ear, and we
can neither hold him, nor safely let him go. Justice is in one scale, and self preservation in the other.
(Ford, 1892 1899)
Slavery was a hot topic in political debates as well and a great example was the speech given by
Abraham Lincoln, House Divided. Douglas and Lincoln debated many times over popular sovereignty
and slavery. George Fitzhugh, a supporter of slavery, wrote: The negro slaves of the South are the
happiest,

Hera And The Legend Of Narcissus
The story began with a beloved Echo, who was a beautiful river nymph who loved to tell stories to the
goddess Aphrodite. While they were chatting in the forest, Aphrodite promised to find any man that
Echo loved and make him love her back, but she insisted that she had not found the right person yet.
Echo walked away and then saw Zeus being extra nice to another river nymph. Hera, Zeus wife, came
down and Echo tricked her into going the other direction so she would not see Zeus. After Hera
realized that Echo had tricked her, she cursed Echo so that she echoes every last word that is said to
her (and she was not allowed to say anything else, so she would never lie again). In the forest, Echo
saw the man of her dreams, Narcissus, who was

Sexuality In Brave New World Essay
Is sexuality always used to challenge the norm in Carol Ann Duffy s poem The Devil s Wife and in the
novels Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf?
I will open my essay with an Oxford English Dictionary definition of the noun norm . I will argue that
all three texts do use sexuality to challenge the norm, however they do not always use sexuality to
challenge it. For instance, in The Devil s Wife I will show how Myra Hindley s sexuality creates
empathy for her, even though she is generally a despised figure. I will also illustrate how Carol Ann
Duffy challenges norms without using sexuality in the poem. Aldous Huxley s novel Brave New
World challenges the norm of monogamy, though it conforms to others and surrenders ... Show more

The Importance Of Genuine Learning As A Student
the first and the best lesson I got when I was a student in college is that whether we are in class or not,
each day is a lesson independent from anyone else. As I go ahead toward my objective, I have
developed and adapted such a great amount during the time to this point. Since I wind up noticeably
youthful grown up, respectability was not something I got just as support from my folks yet in
addition anticipated. I went to the full comprehension behind the significance after I turn into an
understudy. There were times when I confront the danger of losing and giving up my uprightness. In
any case, these sorts of circumstance are the one that causes you to hang on the esteem and
comprehend the genuine significance behind word. It intends to be consistent with one s self good,
esteem and convictions. This prompts ask an answer in regards to life and its advantages, which
comes as a bundle including training and genuine involvement with Belmont. Lessons don t begin and
end in the class, yet rather extend past or more. There is no limit or point of confinement to people
longing to learn, ask and obtain more information.
Genuine learning originates from individuals. Taking in that knowledge requires great coordinated
effort and administration. I trust that, the capacity to interconnect and team up with in a gathering
setting of different individual qualities and learning condition will come about a win. While teaming

Colonists Point Of View On The American Revolution
COLONISTS POINT OF VIEW ON THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION The British were cruel,
forceful, and just plain mean. Colonists asked the British for their rights, but no, the British would not
give them their rights. Britain was a horrible country, and they didn t listen to the Colonists, although
they were usually right. Following the French and Indian War, King George the third wrote the
surprising Proclamation of 1763. The Proclamation stated that the new western frontier that the
colonists won actually belonged to the indians and the colonists could not settle past a line of the
Appalachian mountains. The law was passed because the Natives claimed that the western frontier
actually belonged to them, although the Natives weren t using the land. The Quartering act of 1765 , A
big part of the Revolution came next. Colonists were forced to house, feed and bed British Soldiers.
Thomas Gage, a military governor, protested against the wicked parliament, but unfortunately, it didn t
go his way. Colonists had little money to pay for things for themselves, no less a stupid soldiers
needs.Colonists had to keep the soldiers needs satisfied and they had to do unfair things, like give up
their own bed for a soldier. The stamp act of 1765 was another cruel thing that horrible King George
imposed. Colonists had to pay an unnecessary amount of money to purchase stamps. Colonists had
little money and it took months to send mail to Britain and back. Colonists had no other way to

Body. Alcohol Is Surprisingly The Largest Consumed Drug
Body Alcohol is surprisingly the largest consumed drug when it comes to the United States, and with
that comes a higher addiction rate than those drugs deemed illegal such as heroin or even marijuana
still (Thio, Taylor, Schwartz, 2013). Due to this epidemic that is rarely discussed in the same
categorization of illegal substances, there is a bit of a justification seen that alcohol use is not as
severe. Yet data shows that is not the case, because alcohol abuse leads in terms of arrests and related
deaths (Schmalleger, 2013). In 2008, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimated
that alcohol caused 11,773 traffic fatalities in one year alone (Schmalleger, 2013). Alcohol also leads

data (Schmalleger, 2013). The (NSDUH) found that there are an estimated 22.6 million Americans
who are current users aged twelve and older (Schmalleger, 2013). Of those 22.6 million Americans,
17.5 million of them were estimated to be using marijuana, and data shows the rates for those most
likely to consume drugs to be between the ages of sixteen to twenty five in 2010 (Schmalleger, 2013).
Another statistic, this time from the class text found that nine percent of the U.S population age 12 or
older use illicit drugs every year, half of them at least once a month. (Thio et al., 2013). The class text
also corroborates this data, citing that of young adults those aged eighteen to twenty five have the
highest rates, for teenagers the rates highest for use are twelve to seventeen (Thio et al., 2013). One
study found that employment status is highly correlated with rates of illicit drug use as well. One
figure showed that an estimated seventeen percent and a half percent of those unemployed were
current illicit drug users (Schmalleger, 2013). Worrying figures due to the gravity of the situation

use. The concept of drug usage surrounding teenagers and

Analysis Of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein Essay
Driven by an uncontrollable longing to create life, Frankenstein isolates himself from the people in his
life who matter the most. Victor acknowledges the evil in his deeds and the unnatural nature of his
desires, but succumbs to what he views as his destiny. In this, he abandons his conscience and his
human ability to reason. He seeks not human companionship, but thrives in his solitude where none
can remind him of his irresponsibility and selfishness. This inability to reason exposes his selfish and
cruel nature while the monster who seeks for a taste of acknowledgment is able to present a much
more reasonable understandings. In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein, in the content of pages 102 103,
both the creator and creation have an animated discussion and argument where Victor s inability to
reason is displayed. Victor Frankenstein s sole focus is on himself and it blinds him to the ability to be
reasonable or take responsibility for his creation as well as exhibits how the Creature at times displays
more maturity, rationality, or human qualities than his creator.
Essentially, the Creature is given no opportunity to become a functioning unit of society because he is
given no insight into surviving as a human, aside from what he is able to gather through observation.
This lack of insight is contributed to the way Victor disregards his own creation; leaving him to defend
himself in a curious world who is at times seemingly ignorant of his existence. In the course of the

China is more open now, we understand more western culture, and there are so many choices in the

relationship with consumers. For example, build brand house, brand club, to educate, and to train
consumers to become loyal fans. Don t distribute only in those liquor shops or supermarkets, cognac
should build its own specialty brand shop. Consumers will find the sense of belonging when shopping
in a brand shop.
Besides, some festival limited version is good idea, for example: a Saint Valentines Day version

Anti Semitism has been present in the United States since the mid 17th century when, in an effort to
advance the Dutch Reformed Church, the church director Peter Stuyvesant exclaimed that Jews were
deceitful, repugnant, and blasphemers of the name of Christ (Jaher, 1996). During this time, what had
started out as a very small Jewish population, continued to increase as a result of immigration,
primarily from Eastern Europe. From the 17th century to the 18th century, the Jewish population in

Analysis Of The Article Power, Privilege, And Landscape...
The article, Power, Privilege, and Landscape in Minoan Art by Anne P. Chapin, seeks to examine the
previous interpretations of Minoan landscape frescoes, and add her own arguments towards the debate
of religious versus secular. She presents the conclusion that while Minoan landscape art did have
religious elements, the frescos presence was not an indication of a religious shrine. However, she also
introduces the idea that they helped to assert the dominance of an elite class, who sought to
demonstrate that they were influenced and connected with the divine. Chapin begins her article with
an examination of the problems of previous interpretations of the landscape frescoes that have become
so iconic and symbolic of Minoan art. The true meaning behind them has been contested since their
discovery by Arthur Evan s. Arthur Evans viewed them in a more secular sense. Which, as the author
pointed out on page 48, is most likely a result of being raised as an elite Victorian. He was more
inclined to view the great artworks as proof of the cultural superiority (pg 48) of the Minoans, rather
than demonstrations of a pagan religion he had no part in.
However, Chapin does not find flaws just in Evans analysis, but as well with the more modern
interpretations, which place more importance on potential religious meanings. But as Chapin points
out on page 51, paraphrasing from Christos Doumas, what constitutes a religious shrine in Aegean
prehistory is unknown. So to claim a

Authentic Wine Country Is A Small Enterprise
Authentic Wine Country cannot let competitors use digital media against them to attract the younger
generation and gain market share. In order to guard against competition, the company should utilize
business agility to maintain a digital model for providing superior customer service as well as
maintain a digital marketing presence that positively and correctly represents the company s services
and reputation to the younger generation. Therefore, Authentic Wine Country must acquire as much
knowledge as possible about the younger generation of consumers through big data collection.
Therefore, the company must utilize all sources of digital mediums in order to create an effective
digital presence to gather data. In addition, Authentic Wine Country must grasp that younger
customers may hear about them through digital technologies before the company has a chance to pitch
its services to consumers. Thus, maintaining as much control as possible about what the consumer

Dostoevsky s The Brothers Karamazov and Crime and Punishment
God Answers the Questions Presented by Dostoevsky s The Brothers Karamazov and Crime and
Punishment
In Dostoevsky s novels pain and some heavy burden of the inevitability of human suffering and
helplessness form Russia. And he depicts it not with white gloves on, nor through the blisters of the
peasant, but through people who are close to him and his realities: city people who either have faith,
or secular humanists who are so remote from reality that even when they love humanity they despise
humans because of their own inability to achieve or to create paradise on earth. His novels The
Brothers Karamazov and Crime and Punishment are best examples of the poisonous effect of such
ideals on the common man. The rebellion of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That is not the love that is directed towards the humanity as a whole, but towards the individual: Strive
to love your neighbor actively and indefatigably (II, 4). For Dostoevsky such love is a false one and he
presents it through such characters as Rakitin, Perkhotin and even Luzhin:
Consciousness of life is superior to life, knowledge of the laws of happiness is superior to happiness
that is what we must fight against. (The Dream of a Ridiculous Man , p. 382)
One of greatest evils for Dostoevsky are the so called liberals who love humanity more than an
individual man. Yet he does not represent their behavior as genuinely evil . Their hate towards
humanity arises exactly from the opposite: love. Secular humanists see so much evil, crime and
inhumanity, they cannot stop it so they rebel. Ivan Karamazov and his rebellion are purely of that
kind. He is not vile, he just cannot understand that there might be a solution for such suffering,
especially in the case of children who are innocent in Christianity. That is why Ivan asks:
Love life more than the meaning of it? (II, 3)
Ivan as any average intellectual, wants to know. To know the meaning of life for him is more
important than to actually do something about the human suffering. Ivan forgets that one human life is
as important as the entire humanity. For him humanity is merely an abstraction which happen to be
surrounding him.

Sports Drinks And Energy Drinks
Kristie Cox
Chemistry Lab
Introduction:
In advertisement sports drinks and energy drinks claim they can do it all like weight loss, improve
endurance, and develop better concentration. The question posed is do either sports drinks or energy
drinks really do what they claim to do, and if so which one works best? First off, sports drinks and
energy drinks may overlap however, they are not the same thing. Sports drinks such as Gatorade and
PowerAde have been popular with athletes for decades. Historically sports drinks were specifically
created to be consumed during exercise to enhance performance. The first, and probably most famous,
of these sports drinks is Gatorade, a beverage developing in 1965 by researchers at the University of ...

in 2011 the number of emergency department visits related to consumption of energy drinks exceeded

According to a study on Gatorade at the University of Minnesota they stated If you re not breaking a

associated with other not so healthy behaviors, like higher intake of added sugar from sodas and fruit

appropriate balance of carbohydrate, fat and protein intakes that children need for optimal growth,
development, body composition and health (6).Too much caffeine also can increase heart rate, blood
pressure, speech rate and motor activity, and play a role in triggering irregular heartbeat or abnormal
heart rhythm, among other concern (6).

Communication Technology In The Gilded Age
Following years of reconstruction, the U.S. entered a new age. For this new age, Mark
Twain named it after the glittering surface of the time that was covering the vast corruption
underneath. The late 19th century would be called the Gilded Age (Mintz, S., McNeil, S. 2016). From
this Gilded Age, a powerful businessman made his mark in American history. John D. Rockefeller
ruled the American oil industry. Using his incredible knowledge of business, he rose up through the
age to become one of the most influential businessmen in history.
Amidst the 1880s and 1890s, the nation was changing. Technology, entertainment and the population
were all seeing intense transformations. Looking back, much to the technologies of the late 19th
century can be seen in the modern United States. This age included the development of
communication technology including the phonograph, the telephone and the radio. Transportation
technologies were also evolving into more modern versions. These technologies included automobiles,
trolleys and electric trains. At the time, immigrants, especially those from Hungary, Italy, Poland and
Russia, were flooding into America. This massive increase of the population led to the horizontal
growth and vertical rise of urban cities as we know them today. The events that occurred during the
Gilded Age would be what helped Rockefeller become the King of Oil (Krasner 2014).

Albert Bandura Theory
As the pioneering social learning theorist in the 1960s, Albert Bandura refuted the common belief that
studying thoughts and emotions was unscientific. He was adamant that although one could not see
these internal processes, they were still important to study. He has proven that to understand children,
we must first understand their cognitive processes and the ways in which they think and reason. In my
opinion, one of Bandura s most underrated theories is his study of the effects that exposure to violence
has on children. I believe that it has shaped the way many of us think about what children are
witnessing, and is vital in this time where most children have constant access to technology.
Bandura extensively studied modeling; he believed that children learn by watching. This applies to a
variety of circumstances. For example, children learn how to behave in a social setting by watching
the interactions of their peers. Children also learn through symbolic models, like stories and television.
He also proposed the idea of no model learning; a child can watch someone else do something and
replicate it perfectly on their first try, without ever having been formally taught. In what seems to me
like a natural progression of thought, Bandura next wondered that if children absorb what they are
seeing effortlessly, how are they be affected by seeing negative things, such as violence or rough
behavior?
In Theories of Development, William Crain (2005) describes a study Bandura conducted in 1965. Four
year olds were individually shown a movie with one of three endings. In all three, the model beat up a
Bobo doll. In the first, the model was praised and rewarded for doing this. In the second, the model
was reprimanded and punished for his actions. And in the third, the model was neither rewarded nor
punished. The children were put in a room with a Bobo doll. Those who had seen the first and third
versions of the movie imitated the model many more instances that those who had seen the second
version. This indicates that while seeing a model punished will make an activity less desirable, and
seeing a model rewarded will made it more desirable, seeing the model neither punished nor rewarded
will make the activity just as

The Difference between Terrorism and Domestic Terrorism Essay
The terms terrorism and domestic terrorism are very similar concepts. There are, however, slight
differences in each. Entities that are apart of the Government have slightly different ways of
explaining what they believe to be the correct definition of terrorism and domestic terrorism. In this
paper the author will offer definitions of the two terms and state which one they agree with the most.
The author will also state how the two terms are best differentiated.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines terrorism on the basis of three characteristics. In
order for an act to be considered terrorism, it needs to be (1) a violent act, or acts dangerous to human

They elucidate that terrorism is a premeditated, politically motivated, violence perpetrated against
noncombatant targets by subnational groups of clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an
audience, (National Institute of Justice).
All of the definitions that the author has presented tend to share a common theme. In each of the
previous definitions, the use of force that is intended to coerce or sway a course of action that furthers
a social, or political goal. In most cases, the FBI definition is the one most widely used and accepted
by law enforcement entities (National Institute of Justice). The author seconds that the FBI definition
is the one that she agrees with the most. The FBI definition seems like the only one that doesn t leave
anything out. It is the most descriptive, and unlike the American Heritage definition, it broadens the
scope of terrorists from being a certain type of group to the possibility of it being just one man or
woman.
The FBI also gives a definition of domestic terrorism that is very similar to its definition of terrorism,
but has a minor difference. Like terrorism, there are three characteristics that need to be met in order
to define an act as domestic terrorism. The first characteristic is that it needs to involve acts that are
dangerous to human life that violate federal or state laws. The second characteristic is it needs to
appear intended to (i) intimidate or coerce civilian population; (ii) influence policies of a

average knock out percent in Super Smash Bros percent is damage (max being 999%) is about 65% to
97% making it a formidable move. First, use Bayonetta s Heel Slide attack. The Heel Slide move is
activated by pushing the joystick to the right or left depending on which direction you want to go and
hitting the B or special button. Make sure to hold the special button down so that Bayonetta will
perform a second hit known as the launching kick that you use it to get your opponent higher in the air
and to provide more damage. Next jump to gain more height and to make sure your Witch Twist will
hit. Of course Witch Twist is the recovery move or up special. Mid jump start to activate your Witch
Twist so that you will hit the opponent before he/she will be able to dodge the attack. Have you
noticed the smoke that appears when you hit someone with an attack? That smoke indicates the time
that a foe will be left open. When you see the smoke your enemy will be open and when it disappears
there will no longer be an opening. Pause for about half a second after hitting with Witch Twist. Then,

Capital Punishment is a legal form of justice in 31 states of USA. This sentence consist in taking the

The Great Deal Of Military Scholarship

influenced these armed forces fighting in these grand battles. Two of these scholarships are discussed
by Victor Davis Hanson, a military historian specializing on classical warfare and a current professor
at California State University, and John A Lynn, a military historian specializing in early modern
Europe and is a current professor at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Both books discuss
cultural linkage in terms of successful armies and how the victor s culture resulted in victory, but

The high motivation of the soldier often goes hand in hand with the freedom of the soldier fighting.
This idea of the soldier s freedom begins in the Greek city state as mentioned by Hanson gives these
men a sense of individualism, which creates the idea that men are fighting for their families as well as
fighting for their livelihood. Hanson also mentions the strict discipline and training of the soldier.
This strict training allows for the militaries to be more effective in smaller numbers and Hanson uses
the Battle of Rorke s Drift between the African Zulu s and The British Royal Army. Though the Zulus
vastly outnumbered the British, as well as possessed the same weaponry, they were very well trained
and by using decisive battle and weaponry techniques they were able to defeat the Zulu army.
The largest piece of the thesis that supports the fact that Western armies are dominant on the
battlefield is their ability to adapt and become flexible. Hanson points out that the Japanese had better
planes than the Americans in the Battle of Midway, but it was the ability of the Americans to utilize
their technology well that eventually lead to an American victory. Hanson also mentions that Western
armies are almost amoral

AngloSaxon Language Nearly all knowledge of the English language before the seventh century is

with the arrival of several Germanic tribes including: the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jutes (1, p.49).

English (ME), the second stage of the development of English (3, p723).
Middle English was spoken from 1100 1500 during the late Middle Ages (2, p3 of 4). After the
Norman Invasion, a French speaking people occupied England (2, p3 of 4). Both the natural evolution
of language and the French influence brought significant changes in the speech of the natives (2,

from an almost wholly Germanic language to a language of mixed Germanic Romance composition
(3, p473). In ME almost every aspect of OE changed considerably (3, p473). Many OE words fell
completely out of use (3, p658). But three main features of ME greatly contrasted with OE: There was
a greatly increased borrowing from other languages, such as, French and Latin; the system of
grammatical inflections was notably reduced: and the orthography of the language became highly
varied and unstable (3, p657). Despite all these changes, there was still no uniform way of writing
ME. Many aspects of ME varied greatly from place to place, person to person, and period to

depending on how it fits into the information given by other sources. He uses his experiences, the texts
that he used in his education, pathos arguments, and metaphor to further his point. The use of narrative
as the medium forces Malcolm X to rely heavily on the experiences he had while studying in prison to
provide support for his argument. He provides sufficient evidence on how he thinks the history of
colored society should be portrayed and this is shown with a list of texts that he has read during the
course of his prison studies. One of the texts Malcolm X describes provides strong examples of
historical events that are not mentioned in the United States. The piece Sex and Race by J.A Rogers

Evaluate The Social And Economic Effects Of The Berlin Wall
The Berlin wall had a massive impact on east and West Germany, socially, economically and how the
contrast between them affected each other when the wall fell.
On 13 August 1961, a wall was erected through Berlin, named the Berlin Wall. The wall completely
cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany. I will be evaluating the social and economic
impacts the Berlin Wall had on East and West Germany when it got built, and how they affected each
other after the wall fell. Before the wall Germany has recently been defeated in World War II this
caused Soviets, Americans, British and French to hold a conference meeting to decide the division of
Germany. They decided to divide Germany into four zones one for each. France, the U.S. and Britain
were guaranteed access to their zones in Berlin, even though they had to pass through the Soviet zone
to get there. But the differing ideology of the Soviets and their former allies became apparent almost
immediately.
Soviets controlled most of East Europe and started to install communist governments in nations like
Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. But people started to flee the harsh strict rule of these countries.
2.6 million East Germans had escaped to West Germany. This had a devastating effect on East
Germany because the majority of the people who left were young skilled people, such as intellectuals,
doctors and engineers. This was humiliating to East Germany and they didn t want to lose any more
valuable citizens, so they began to start closing borders of the ... Show more content on

While the border between east and West Germany were closed there was nothing stoping East
Germans in entering West Berlin. Ten of thousands of people were leaving every month. However
West Germany was getting worried about the amount of people entering, because not only did it cause
economic pressure. But it increased the stress levels between the East and West to an unbearable

The analysis by the nonpartisan consulting firm Avalere Health found that by 2026, the legislation
would lead to 34 states and the District of Columbia experiencing funding cuts. Seven of those states
would see cuts of more than $10 billion and 16 states would see a funding increase. The biggest losers
would be states that expanded Medicaid under Obama Care.

Watergate Scandal Analysis
The infamous Watergate Scandal continued from 1972 to 1974 effected American politics immensely.
Though, Richard Nixon resigned and was removed from the government in all, the scandal shaped a
political reform era and formed a distrust between Americans and their government. Similarly, several
years later, in 2016, a Presidential candidate was accused of using a private email server for official
interactions while she was Secretary of State rather than the Official State Department email accounts
on the federal servers, causing massive controversy throughout the entire election. Have the
governments standards changed since the Watergate Scandal or is the ordeal with Hillary Clinton s
emails a completely different situation? Numerous burglars, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

  • 2. Solutions to Hair Loss in Men and Women Essay According to Relevant Research, Inc and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, 35 million men and 21 million women in the United States were experiencing hair loss as of July 2013. Hair loss can have many causes and subsequently there are many solutions. People experiencing hair loss will go to great measures to reverse their hair loss. 47% of hair loss suffers said they would give up their life savings to regain a full head of hair and 60% said they would rather have more hair than money or friends. With those statistics, it is no surprise that that the worldwide revenue for surgical hair restoration alone is $1.87 billion. The second most common type of hair loss is telogen effluvium. Effluviums commonly affect different phases of the hair growth cycle. Hair follicles on the scalp do not constantly produce hair. The follicles cycle through a growth stage that can last two or more years, they then revert to a resting stage for up to two months before starting to grow new hair again. At any time on a healthy scalp about 80% to 90% of the hair follicles are growing hair. This active stage of hair growth is called the anagen phase. This also means that at any given time 10% to 20% of the follicles on the scalp are in a resting stage called telogen, where they are not producing any hair. Telogen effluvium occurs when there is a significant change in the number of hair follicles in the anagen phase. When this happens, more hair is in the telogen phase, which results in telogen effluvium, or shedding. The cause of this type of hair loss is not always easy to discover, as it may be a result of stress, postpartum alopecia, vaccinations, extreme or quick weight loss, physical trauma and/or diet. Fortunately, people experiencing telogen effuvium will not suffer permanent hair loss because it is fully reversible and they will not completely lose their hair but rather they may see their hair become much thinner. . Most people suffering form telogen effuvium will see a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In discriminant validity methodology proposed by Fornell and Larcker (1981) shows that the value of square root of AVE should exceed the construct correlations with all other constructs (Table 3). To measure the internal consistency of the constructs, the values of composite reliability (CR) (Werts et al., 1974; Raykov, 1997) and Cronbach s alpha is carried out, supposed to be under estimate scale reliability with the recommended threshold criterion of .70 for both (Nunnally, 1978). • 4. Personal Statement Of Faith By God PERSONAL STATEMENT OF FAITH As a man purchased by God through his Son, I believe it is necessary to clearly state, in a concise manner, the closed handed truths I believe as guided by Scripture. My Statement of Faith summarizes essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and guards me from potential error. I affirm these gospel truths, with the understanding that my confidence in these truths grows progressively over time. These beliefs are great cause for joy. Far more than just words on a page, they are precious gifts from God. I. The Scriptures. I believe that the 66 books of the Bible are God s word revealed to us, written by God s apostles and prophets. In its original manuscripts it contains truth without error as it unfolds the story of God his creation, our fall, his redemption and restoration; therefore it is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union. The Scriptures are the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried. II. The Triune God. We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God. He is an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible worship, trust, and love. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but complimentary offices in the great work of redemption. a. ... Because he was forced to do something he couldn t do easily or well, he was being put to the test. However, after a few weeks digging, he realised that He was a lot stronger than when he first arrived. His body had adjusted somewhat to the heat and hard conditions. • 7. The Institution Of Slavery And Attitudes Towards It... Question 1 The institution of slavery and attitudes towards it changed dramatically in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Describe the changes and explain the various arguments made for and against the expansion of slavery. Who, if anyone, was arguing for abolition and who was defending the institution of slavery? Finally, in your opinion was their room for compromise on the issue of slavery that could have averted conflict? Why or why not? From as far back as history goes there has been slavery and the sad fact is that even today slavery is still part of society. In the 18th and 19th century the largest movement for abolishing slavery took place. Many notable men in history spoke out against slavery and helped to fuel the fire of the pro slavery groups. Benjamin Franklin said Slavery is such an atrocious debasement of human nature, that its very extirpation, if not performed with solicitous care, may sometimes open a source of serious evils. (Franklin, 1789) Thomas Jefferson once said, But, as it is, we have the wolf by the ear, and we can neither hold him, nor safely let him go. Justice is in one scale, and self preservation in the other. (Ford, 1892 1899) Slavery was a hot topic in political debates as well and a great example was the speech given by Abraham Lincoln, House Divided. Victor Frankenstein s sole focus is on himself and it blinds him to the ability to be reasonable or take responsibility for his creation as well as exhibits how the Creature at times displays more maturity, rationality, or human qualities than his creator. Essentially, the Creature is given no opportunity to become a functioning unit of society because he is given no insight into surviving as a human, aside from what he is able to gather through observation. Chapin, seeks to examine the previous interpretations of Minoan landscape frescoes, and add her own arguments towards the debate of religious versus secular. She presents the conclusion that while Minoan landscape art did have religious elements, the frescos presence was not an indication of a religious shrine. However, she also introduces the idea that they helped to assert the dominance of an elite class, who sought to demonstrate that they were influenced and connected with the divine. Chapin begins her article with an examination of the problems of previous interpretations of the landscape frescoes that have become so iconic and symbolic of Minoan art. The true meaning behind them has been contested since their discovery by Arthur Evan s. Arthur Evans viewed them in a more secular sense. Which, as the author pointed out on page 48, is most likely a result of being raised as an elite Victorian. He was more inclined to view the great artworks as proof of the cultural superiority (pg 48) of the Minoans, rather than demonstrations of a pagan religion he had no part in. However, Chapin does not find flaws just in Evans analysis, but as well with the more modern interpretations, which place more importance on potential religious meanings. • 25. Communication Technology In The Gilded Age Following years of reconstruction, the U.S. entered a new age. For this new age, Mark Twain named it after the glittering surface of the time that was covering the vast corruption underneath. The late 19th century would be called the Gilded Age (Mintz, S., McNeil, S. 2016). From this Gilded Age, a powerful businessman made his mark in American history. John D. Rockefeller ruled the American oil industry. Using his incredible knowledge of business, he rose up through the age to become one of the most influential businessmen in history. Amidst the 1880s and 1890s, the nation was changing. Technology, entertainment and the population were all seeing intense transformations. Looking back, much to the technologies of the late 19th century can be seen in the modern United States. This age included the development of communication technology including the phonograph, the telephone and the radio. Transportation technologies were also evolving into more modern versions. These technologies included automobiles, trolleys and electric trains. At the time, immigrants, especially those from Hungary, Italy, Poland and Russia, were flooding into America. This massive increase of the population led to the horizontal growth and vertical rise of urban cities as we know them today. The events that occurred during the Gilded Age would be what helped Rockefeller become the King of Oil (Krasner 2014). • 26. Albert Bandura Theory As the pioneering social learning theorist in the 1960s, Albert Bandura refuted the common belief that studying thoughts and emotions was unscientific. He was adamant that although one could not see these internal processes, they were still important to study. He has proven that to understand children, we must first understand their cognitive processes and the ways in which they think and reason. In my opinion, one of Bandura s most underrated theories is his study of the effects that exposure to violence has on children. I believe that it has shaped the way many of us think about what children are witnessing, and is vital in this time where most children have constant access to technology. Bandura extensively studied modeling; he believed that children learn by watching. This applies to a variety of circumstances. For example, children learn how to behave in a social setting by watching the interactions of their peers. Children also learn through symbolic models, like stories and television. He also proposed the idea of no model learning; a child can watch someone else do something and replicate it perfectly on their first try, without ever having been formally taught. In what seems to me like a natural progression of thought, Bandura next wondered that if children absorb what they are seeing effortlessly, how are they be affected by seeing negative things, such as violence or rough behavior? In Theories of Development, William Crain (2005) describes a study Bandura conducted in 1965. Four year olds were individually shown a movie with one of three endings. In all three, the model beat up a Bobo doll. In the first, the model was praised and rewarded for doing this. In the second, the model was reprimanded and punished for his actions. And in the third, the model was neither rewarded nor punished. The children were put in a room with a Bobo doll. Those who had seen the first and third versions of the movie imitated the model many more instances that those who had seen the second version. This indicates that while seeing a model punished will make an activity less desirable, and seeing a model rewarded will made it more desirable, seeing the model neither punished nor rewarded will make the activity just as ... The FBI also gives a definition of domestic terrorism that is very similar to its definition of terrorism, but has a minor difference. Like terrorism, there are three characteristics that need to be met in order to define an act as domestic terrorism. Though the Zulus vastly outnumbered the British, as well as possessed the same weaponry, they were very well trained and by using decisive battle and weaponry techniques they were able to defeat the Zulu army. Here he taught himself how to read and write, using materials provided by the prison s library to aid in his education; consequently, he also learned about the racial injustices throughout history. After 7 years, Malcolm X was granted parole and released from prison and joined the Civil Rights Movement under the name Malcolm X.
