How Does Jesus Change During The Eucharist
In the book Encountering Christ in the Sacraments, it defines the word Real Presence as when the bread is
consecrated, it is changed into Christ s Body. When the wine is consecrated, it is changed into Christ s
Blood. The bread and wine do not literally change into flesh and blood, but their substance is. However, this
does not mean this is the only way a person can experience the real presence of Jesus. In my life, I have felt
this presence not by the Eucharist.
Though I did not feel it during the Eucharist, I did feel it during the mass. It was during the homily, where
the priest was telling the crowd a story that relates to the Gospel reading he just read. My attention span
began to shrink when I felt something wrap around my shoulders.

A Permanent International Investment Court And Its...
Recently, the UNCTAD report of 2015 has waged a fierce war against the International Arbitration System
by proposing some radical reformations to the ISDS mechanisms. One of the crucial challenges pertains to
safeguarding the sovereignty of States with regards to their public policymaking by placing some limits on
IIAs. In other words, the report suggests that the current International Arbitration mechanisms have
constituted a breach to the sovereign right of the states to apply their national law, and to regulate in their
public interest. Furthermore, the proposal envisages an eventual formation of a permanent international
investment court and its possible multi lateralization either through BITs or international conventions.
Suffice it to say that this was an inevitable outcome to the heated debate between the proponents and
opponents of the ISDS. Especially that they preferred to put an end to many growing arbitration practices
like waiver and fork in the road clauses in BITs. However, some thoughtful questions have arisen
concerning the UNCTAD tendency towards reformation. The most intriguing question of all is whether it is
necessary to protect states sovereignties, with regard to their right to apply their national law and to legislate
in their public interests, from current international Arbitration mechanisms or not. Concerning the right of
states to apply their national law, this right remains unviolated: as derogating from national

Themes in Frankenstein Essay
Frankenstein deals with two main social concerns, the level of moral responsibility that a creator possesses
in relation to his creation, as well as the issue of the moral boundaries that exists in one s quest for
knowledge, including the fine line between good and bad knowledge, The novel also deals with two main
human concerns, which include a person s goals or aspirations as well as the issue of pride and its affect on a
person.
Mary Shelley highlights the issue of moral responsibility by the fact that Frankenstein neglects the issue at
first, but then realises its importance. Frankenstein completely ignores his moral responsibility in relation to
his work initially, blinded by his emotions, but once he realised that he had ... Show more content on

Bad knowledge in contrast, is knowledge that is single minded, driven by personal gain, and possesses very
little constraints.
Pride is probably the most important human issue that Mary Shelley explores, with Frankenstein s search for
knowledge being more a quest for glory than one that was going to genuinely benefit society. A new species
would bless me as it creator and source NO father could claim the gratitude of his child so completely as I
should deserve theirs. Frankenstein s pride is blatantly displayed, as he disregards, his family, friends and his
environment to spend day and night creating the creature, only to become conscious of the fact that it s a
monster. His pride is further shown by the fact that he let s an innocent woman die just to preserve his
reputation by not speaking out. The way pride is portrayed in the novel indicates that society back then was
heavily based on ones reputation and prestige.
Goals or aspirations is closely tied in with the other issues discussed earlier, in that both Frankenstein and
Walton seek glory, but both realise, Frankenstein the hard way that glory comes at a price, and risks need to
be taken in order to achieve one s goal, but its up to that person to decide where the risk is too great. This
issue does reflect the values of Shelley s society, in that the three main

Pulp Fiction Film Techniques
Editing Time and Space in Movie Making
Editing Time and Space in Movie Making
Citizen Kane (1941)
The manipulation of time and space in the film of citizen cane is different from that of Pulp Fiction in that it
considers formal elements of film technique such as Mise en scene where it essentially involves a costume,
setting and makeup staging and lighting (Belton, 46). The very important scene that happens in front of the
camera appears in the final shot of the film. The setting function of the film has highlighted the key aspect of
Kane s life compared to Pulp Fiction that is seen to intersect in many venues (Belton, 37).
Cinematography has been used in the process of capturing the moving images and the manipulation of such
images (Belton, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is because the editor has been able to create something in the movie that cannot be filmed by the use of
various techniques in order to show the change of time visibly. These techniques give the editor a chance to
give a different effect and be able to create something totally different to the film. The use of technique
shows people an object change or the environment of an object change of a certain period of time such as a
person acting in the film such as getting older or younger (Belton, 57).
The film of Pulp Fiction is a good example of manipulation of time and space. Quentin Tarantino directed an
iconic film that was filled with humor and violence as well as a nonlinear storyline. The art of the techniques
is used to connect the interconnecting storylines of the mobster, fringe players, the mysterious briefcase and
the small criminals (Belton, 46). This has presented the film in a chronological manner as a result of its
unconventional structure, the extensive used of homage and the pictures of self reflexity. The holdup stage
dinner starts the film in where the technique of time and space is used in order to pick up the story of Jules,
Vincent, and Butch (Belton,

Examples Of Heroism In The Incredibles
The Incredibles is a film about heroism. Walt Disney Pictures released The Incredibles in 2006. The film is
about a superhero family who all have super powers. The government of Municiberg are rolling out a new
program which is relocation of super hero s this is because the town of Municiberg are sick of super hero s

extremely hard to stop using their super powers, but are trying very hard to stop. There super powers are

This is demonstrated by the picture on the cover of the article out of The age. The way that this is
demonstrated in The Incredibles is in the film when what ever the super hero s do, whether it s saving
someone or stopping someone from breaking into a bank the super hero s of Municiberg where always
remembered for what they did. I agree with the people on the train that is Ben Cousin is not a true hero
because in the limelight he got caught up with drugs and alcohol and significantly down grated himself
because he could have been a true hero if he focused on football, not on the money. But l do believe with the
other person in the conversation who said Peter Carey is the greatest football hero. Peter Carey has played in
more than 440 games and has kicked more than 500 goals he has also played in three Premiership games.
Dmetri Kakmi believes that you have to be more than just a sports hero. A hero must be someone who
exhibits extraordinary bravery, fortitude or greatness of soul. Dmetri Kakmi says that the sports people who
should be hero s are Cathy Freeman and Nicky Winmar. Cathy freeman defiantly fits all the categories
wrapping herself in the Aboriginal flag in the 1994 Commonwealth Games. Nicky Winmar also fits all the
categories with her famous proud to be black photo these are defining

The Importance Of Narrative Writing
Narrative Writing is a story that is told and the order in which it is told. Some stories have narrators and
some without. The narrator is normally a series of characters or one character who tell the story. Sometimes
narrative writing can be classified as fiction writing which is a made up from start to finish. When there is
narrative writing that is based on true stores, then the narrative writing is non fiction. Most narrative writing
in the law enforcement sector is a how to format or a guideline on how a report should be written. It also
explains the actual facts on how a crime occurred during the investigation. According to the text Biggs
(2016), There are five rules of narrative writing. The first rule of narrative writing is, the report should
always be written in first person. When the narrative explains first person, the narrative is stating that using I
or Me in the reports identify the author of the person who is writing the investigative report. If I or Me is not
being used to write the investigative reports, the investigation could be sought as made up or fake. The
second rule of narrative writing is, the report should also be written in past tense along with first person
view. According to the text, If you write in the past tense, you will develop consistency and, as a result,
create a report that is professional and easy to read. With this type of consistency, the reports are easily
believable to the reader and makes it easy to follow the

Wrinkle In Time Quotes
In the book, A Wrinkle In Time, three major characters are Mrs. Witch, Mrs. Who, and Ms. Whatsit. They
are warriors who are fighting against the darkness and evil in the whole universe. Mrs. Who finds it hard to

The Four Values Of Leadership
People ask the difference between a leader and a boss. The leader leads and the boss drives Theodore
Roosevelt. What does it mean to be a leader? What defines a good leader? History has taught us many things
about leadership. Good Leadership can be the difference between winning a war and losing a war. Even in
everyday life, a good leader is capable of achieving much greater things than a normal person. But
leadership is a powerful tool that can be used both for the good of mankind and its downfall. Leadership is
the ability of an individual or and organisation, to influence other individuals and its team to achieve a
desired outcome. Influence is a very under rated aspect of leadership. No individual would follow a person
who does not have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ability to self reflect is as crucial as any. A leader should always evaluate himself and his values time to
time. This make him more aware of his strengths and weaknesses and allows him to adapt to any scenario.
Being able to reflect enable leader to remember past experiences and gain quality insights into themselves.
This will aid the decision making process a leader goes through. The next value that Harry Jensen Kramer Jr
talk about is the need for balance. A leader may have his own set of values and opinions of a situation. But it
should not obstruct his ability to see the same situation from another point of view. A good leader accepts
that there are always different perspective to consider in a given situation. Many leaders tend to be
headstrong in their mind set that only their opinion matters. Anyone who does not believe in his opinion is
just challenging his authority. This is a clear case of an ego issue. The open mindedness opens room for god
communication between the leader and his followers. This develops trust and respect within an organisation.
But it is also necessary to filter out the good opinions from the bad ones. As a leader, you must decide which
is important for the organisation and not take all suggestion without due thought just to appease the teams.
Doing that makes you the follower and it you will always lose credibility as a

The Monster s Transformation
Given that, maturity and familiarization become catalyst to the Monster s transformation. The parent less
environment forces the Monster to let his curiosity serves as a starting point. Distort from their starting
point, the Monster begins to form an opinion about himself. I viewed myself in the transparent pool! At first
I started back, unable to believe that was indeed who I was reflected in the mirror: and when I became fully
convinced that I was in the reality the monster that I am, I was filled with bitterest sensation of despondence
and mortification (16. 116 17). The pool serves as conduit to help The Monster notice the aesthetic
differences between himself and the cottagers. However, it sets the pace for the Monster to begin to unfairly
desire that which is unattainable. Exhibitive in the comparison, is the rapid rate at which the Monster is
acquiring knowledge. Amidst knowledge, and its acquisition, it is paramount that misconceptions and
comparisons to others, be put in perspective, but this is impossible. On his own, he formulates an opinion
and does not have another individual to challenge his belief system. The philosophical opposition would
present an alternative viewpoint from which to see himself. The silence that surrounds him plants the seed
which creates the potential to manifest into something more devious, and destructive, as per his superhuman
abilities. Successive to learning the disparity between himself and the humans, the Monster continues to

Personal Reflection Paper On Travel
Travel has always been apart of my life, and it has always brought me so much joy. This trip only doubled
my love for travel. This time I was going out of my comfort zone and going without my normal bubble (my
family). For 9 days I would be experiencing all Ireland and the many airports had to offer. I met new people
including a man from tender scout, a very interesting tattoo artist, our tour guide, the crabby bus driver and
the many interesting groups accompanying us on the trip. But most of all I got closed to people I wish I was
closer to these past two years at USF. This paper will cover the cultural reflection that I took home with me,
all my experiences to the cathedrals, monasteries, the island. My international business ... Show more

My nana is very catholic and very Irish so thing was something I had to see with or without my group. I was
amazed by the story involved within the cathedral from it changing from different name titles throughout the
years. I loved the design inside from the stair cases to the windows. This cathedral helped shape how Ireland
is today because it converts over 1500 years ago and has been a huge place for the Celtic ways of worship. It
is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, and has played a huge role in many people lives
(StPatricksCathedral, 2017). Later that day five of us left the group and went to get our rental car. Madi,
Paige, Trey, Kaylin, Lonnie (you) got the exciting experience to go see the Blarney Castle and Gardens.
What I expected from this place was just a castle with a stone that you kiss to get eloquence, but what I
experienced was much more. This place was breathtaking, and I was able to experience it with a great group
of people! This place had a lot of history and helped shape the culture of Ireland. The Blarney stone is very
special because over 200 years people have climbed the castle to the top to kiss the stone and gain the gift of
eloquence. This place had many other things like the The Rock Close and Water Garden, The Poison
Garden, Arboretums, The Fern Garden, The Arboretums, and The Woodland and Riverside Walks. I wish
everyone would have joined us on this adventure because it was definitely one of my favorite days. I

Examples Of Forgiveness And Reconciliation
The process involved in forgiveness and reconciliation can be very simple or very complex depending on the
situation. One time my friend took money from my wallet, I think it was a $20 bill and I caught him in the
act. We were both in the car and I parked at the mall and I left the car for about five minutes and when I was
walking back I saw in reach into my glove box and take money out of my wallet. I was shocked and
confronted him right away. He said he needed money to pay for his brother back. Since he is a friend of
mine I forgave him and just said he could just ask for money and didn t have to steal from me. We are still
friends and I still hang out with him on the regular but I don t trust him anymore. Trust is defiantly

The Amish are very religious and spiritual people who believe that forgiveness is more than a good thing to
do but forgiveness is the thing to do. In the Amish perspective the test of faith is action so forgiving their
children s killers with hours of death really shows what kind of people they are and is very inspiring. The
way the Amish people responded to the killings was such a shock. One of the things I liked about that article
was when they said that religion was not used to justify rage but to inspire goodness, forgiveness, and grace.
Even members of the community visited the gunman s widow and parents. For the majority of us the process
of forgiveness is a journey and may never happen so just the fact they forgave so quickly was viewed as
emotionally unhealthy to many. Forgiveness has a meaning of not holding a grudge and the Amish were very
clear that it does not make the shooter free from punishment. If he were to live the Amish people would have
wanted him to be locked up but not for reasons of revenge but for the purpose of protecting other children.
Most people growing up learn about forgiveness and have experienced it one way or another. People need to
learn that forgiveness is an essential part of healing and is a process towards inner peace. Learning that
forgiveness is an internal process where you identify the hurt and analyze the situation as well as your
emotions helps you rebuild a sense of safety and letting go of a grudge. The whole process of forgiveness
does not usually involve the offender, most of the time not at all until confronted. As where reconciliation is
an internal process where you have a talk with the offender to talk about various things such as what
happened, each other s stories, viewpoints, reasoning s, expressing the hurt, emotions, and so on. When
reconciliation happens it moves beyond forgiveness because it is

Optimal Temperature Of The Fungal Amylase
Ramos 2
Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to come up with the optimal temperature of the Fungal Amylase,
Aspergillus oryzae, and the Bacterial Amylase, Bacillus liceniformis, as well as to identify if different
temperatures would indeed affect the enzyme amylase by either slowing down the process or denaturing the
enzyme. Enzymes are complex proteins, they can be thought of as a substance fabricated by a living
organism that behaves as a stimulus, otherwise known as a catalyst, to cause a specific biochemical reaction.
This experiment was performed by keeping the amylase mixed with starch at different temperatures, either
in the heated water or in the ice bath. The temperatures varied at either 0, 25, 55, or 85 degrees Celsius.
After a certain amount of time we would then move the test tubes containing the amylases and position them
on a plate where iodine was then added to the starch amylase solution. We would do the same thing at
different time intervals to see exactly how the enzyme catalyzed the starch. The hypothesis of this
experiment was thought to be that the higher the temperature the slower the enzyme would then hydrolyze
the starch. Both the Fungal and the Bacterial Amylase had an optimal temperature of 55 degrees Celsius as
shown by our concluded results in this

Abortion Is A Fetus A Living Human
Is a developing fetus a living human? Is a fetus not considered a human until the second trimester? Does
poverty, rape and disability justify an abortion? Is the abortion dilemma truly black and white? Abortion is
one of the most common medical procedures performed in the United States each year. Nearly one in four of
all pregnancies end in abortion equalling 42% of all yearly deaths around the world. For pro life supporters,
they say that life begins at conception; the instant when a sperm cell unites with a egg cell. For pro choice
supporters, they say at birth, a baby is a living human. At conception, they know it is something but they don
t consider it a human life. Since 1973, the number of abortions has spiked drastically from over 700,000 ...

Others will object and say it is just a fetus. Millions of babies each year, die without even being born
because of abortion. How should society respond to the huge increase in the amount of abortions over the
past few years? Society needs to make a big change and make abortions illegal. People think it is acceptable
to kill someone who doesn t even have a say yet. People think it is acceptable to put their rights before two
other individuals. Why though? Why take what seems like the easy way out all the time? Society is showing
people that it is okay to kill unborn fetuses. Society certainly needs an effective way of preventing abortions.
But in the end, the fact that abortion has been legalized in America since 1973, shows that right now our
problem is only going to get bigger and we need to do something about it

Essay On Dopamine
Taking a look inside of the basal ganglia specifically within the substantia nigra and ventral tegmental space,
the production of dopamine occurs. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that effects provide both excitatory and
inhibitory responses with axon networks. Within the substantia nigra amino acids known as tyrosine reacts
with tyrosine hydroxylase in order to produce L Dopa which is then reacted with L Dopa decarboxylase in
order to finally produce dopamine. Once produced dopamine has been found responsible for initiating
movement, helpful in attention and learning. Therefore, the synthesis of dopamine occurs within the
substantia nigra, but this is only where the cell bodies are located. The neurons project onto the ventral
tegmental area ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, when this hyperactivity occurs and Dopamine continuously binds to D2 receptors
thendopamine acts to cause schizophrenic type behaviors. It has been thought that such a hyperactivity,
which can cause hallucination are the primary reason for schizophrenia but in recent studies there may be
other factors that cause schizophrenia. These factors are still unclear. However, for now tyrosine an amino
acid is converted into L Dopa which then is converted into dopamine. Dopamine is then released into a
synapse which can influence an individuals thought processes specifically it can cause one to experience
severe hallucinations a and delusions of people and objects that do not exist ultimately linking dopamine and
schizophrenia. However it should be known that the Dopamine Hypothesis of Schizophrenia is currently
being disputed but for now the scientific community believes that schizophrenia may be caused by
hyperactivity of dopamine likely due to the inability to inactivate and reuptake dopamine in the synapse and
repeated binding to D2

Analysis Of Delirium
Delirium poses many risks to the elderly population. This condition has been associated with increased
mortality, long term cognitive decline, and loss of autonomy (Kukreja, Gunher, Popp, 2015, p. 655). The
course of delirium is acute, and without accurate differentiation and intervention, outcomes can be
deleterious (Resmick, 2016). This research question will focus on exploring the care team s knowledge
about delirium prevention and assessment and its contribution to outcomes. The boolean search was

According to Resnick (2016), there are recommendations of care that are supported by the National Institute
for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). However, these guidelines are not enough. As a result, it
becomes imperative to understand how to recognize delirium and develop a culture of care that consistently
implements processes that prevent its occurrence. While the awareness and understanding of its impact can
influence its recognition, a broader system wide approach needs to become integrated into the daily practice
of geriatric patients to sustain consistent outcomes and improvements in care. The treatment options should
be prefaced with knowledge sharing and education surrounding the topic of delirium with the care team.
Education will need to include assessment, prevention, and management (Trogrlic et al., 2015, p. 15).
Assessment components will need to include an evidence based tool that is appropriate for the population
and applies to patients with and without cognitive impairments (Voyer et al., 2015). Preventive processes
need to be taught, understood, and operationalized. This would include identification of reversible causes
and risk factors, optimization of medications and elimination of inappropriate medications, integration of
family, and team collaboration (Resnick, 2016). Management options will need to include treatment of
electrolyte abnormalities, visual screening and correction for an identified impairments, ear aids, bowel

Analysis Of Quentin Tarantino s The World Of...
In his interview, Quentin Tarantino describes Inglourious Basterds as a product of his imagination (Gilby
175). If one had watched the film, he can see that the film is based on the real World War II setting as it
portrays actual key figures Hitler, Goebbels, and Churchill and events around that time, such as German
occupation in Paris and the Holocaust. Even though the film uses actual World War II setting, the story as a
whole is a pure fiction. The film is a fictional alternate history of two different, but intertwined plots to
assassinate Hitler. In reality, Hitler was not assassinated by the Jews, nor by Americans because he
committed suicide. But, in the world of Inglourious Basterds, Tarantino twists the actual history by creating
a fictional story of Hitler s assassination, which is effectively achieved by Shoshanna, a French Jewish
cinema proprietor, and two Jewish American soldiers from the Basterds, a team of Jewish American soldiers
led by Lt. Aldo Raine. What Tarantino wants to imply through this film is that in the world of film, anything
can be made possible, even altering history, at the filmmaker s discretion. Tarantino has let his imagination
run wild and satisfied the what if questions that not only he but also others might have: What if Jews
retaliated back and fight the Nazis? What if Americans have killed Hitler and dismantled Third Reich?
Through Inglourious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino recognizes cinema as a medium that has the power to
deviate

Theme Of Timshel By John Steinbeck
It is difficult to decipher the good and the evil that lives within people. John Steinbeck provokes both virtues
in the East of Eden, taking place in Salinas Valley, California in the 1900 s. The theme that is subtly circling
all over the book is the meaning of the word timshel which revolves around the characters Cathy, Adam, and
Caleb.
To begin with, a central theme in the story is the Hebrew word timshel. There are several philosophical
analyses involving this word throughout the book. Steinbeck brought it up through the character Lee as he
explained that the American Standard translation orders men to triumph over sin...The King James
translation makes a promise in thou shalt, meaning that men will surely triumph over sin. But the Hebrew
word, the word timshel Thou mayest that gives a choice (303). This quote means that man can freely choose
to be kind or evil which continuously connects both Adam Trask and Caleb Trask throughout the book.
An example in the book is when Adam was dealing with his depression. Unfortunately, Adam had not
embraced the responsibility and role of fatherhood, resulting in disregarding his sons entirely, much like his
own father had. That vile feeling in Adam left him with the mindset that he would never better. When he
finally brought his mind back on track and started caring more about his son s interests, it showed in the
character s development as he let go of his father s ways and became his own man.
Continuing the theme

Though the skills I have acquired in working for these corporations have proven to be useful in different
settings, overall I have not been satisfied working in corporate America. My many years of working for
private corporations have simply been unfulfilling. I am the kind of person that needs to feel gratified by the
work that I do. For me, that means working as a professional in the public sector, so in 2013 I decided to
return to graduate school to further my education. I wanted to obtain a degree that would allow me to
combine my passion for public service and my acumen for business management. In June 2015, I completed
my graduate degree in public administration from Seattle University.
This degree has afforded me the credentials to apply for the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF)
Program to jumpstart my professional career in the field of public service and I could not be more thankful
for the opportunity.
2) How have you demonstrated your commitment to public service?
Throughout the years I have demonstrated my commitment to public service by giving back to the

How does phonics develop early reading and how should phonics be taught?
The most important skill any child can leave primary school with is the ability to read independently and
effectively for meaning. (DFE National Literacy Strategy)
Reading has become an integral part of our lives; within the world we live in today we rely heavily on
information and environmental text. It is important that from an early age Children are immersed in books
everyday. With parents reading short stories to there children daily it will be inevitable that those children
will stand a better chance at becoming stronger fluent readers. However distractions at home can have a

They can also use this technique to pull apart those sounds that would help with spelling of words. For

with a whole word and analyse a part of it. In English there are 44 sounds (Phonemes) which are written
using 26 letters of the alphabet (Browne 2011, p27) There are many more Graphemes than Phonemes with
most phonemes being represented by a number of different graphemes.
Synthetic phonics can be taught in many ways. The Primary Framework for Literacy (DfES, 2006a) gives a
progressive plan on how to teach phonics. I found during my time with Foundation year 2 s the teacher I was
working with concentrated on implementing four new letters every week as well as recapping what they had
learnt from the previous week. I asked her if it worked well and she certainly seemed to think so. Before she
would be doing a new letter a day, although this would allow her to teach at a good pace she noticed the
children were struggling to remember all the letters and sounds they would learn. Because of this she had to
revise the way she was teaching the phonics to go at a pace the children were comfortable with. She revised
her plan so that every day her children would recap over the letters they had previously been taught. I
noticed that however much planning was in place that it was always best to go by how the children would
cope and over time you will

How Did Ancient Greek Art Change Throughout The...
Throughout the Ancient Greece era, sculptures have evolved from simple to complex, strict to relax, and
idealistic to realistic. It started in the Geometric period focused on clarity and precision displaying geometric
forms. The Orientalizing period was mainly for the trading with Egypt and Mesopotamia. Orientalizing
created ways of gathering stories and ideas. In the Archaic period, most sculptures were focused based on
the linear part of the human figure which stood stiffly and the introduction of the Archaic smile. The next
period was the Early and High Classical in which lead to the Early Classical having a fascination with
extreme movement and the High Classical using the triumph of order over chaos approach. Late Classical
created a decline in democracy and started using individualism to express instead of idealism. The
Hellenistic period launched new concepts such as personifications of abstract ideas, introduced theatricality
and were often exaggerated/ intensified which showed the worst aspects of mankind. During the Late
Hellenistic period, Ancient Greek culture was commonly expressed with a wide variety of paintings and
sculptures. From the death of Alexander the Great to the start of the dark ages, the Hellenistic art showed

After 1970 he was never committed to the hospital again and refused any medication. According to Nash,
the film A Beautiful Mind inaccurately showed him taking new atypical antipsychotics during this period.
He attributed the depiction to the screenwriter (whose mother, he notes, was a psychiatrist), who was
worried about encouraging people with the disorder to stop taking their medication.[12] Others[who?],
however, have questioned whether the fabrication obscured a key question as to whether recovery from
problems like Nash s can actually be hindered by such drugs,[13] and Nash has said they are overrated and
that the adverse effects are not given enough consideration once someone is considered mentally ill.[14][15]
[16] According to Sylvia Nasar, author of the book A Beautiful Mind, on which the movie was based, Nash
recovered gradually with the passage of time. Encouraged by his then former wife, De Lardé, Nash worked
in a communitarian setting where his eccentricities were accepted. De Lardé said of Nash, it s just a question
of living a quiet life .[17] Nash dates the start of what he terms mental disturbances to the early months of

(Boyd, 2000) Another trend is the growing demand for scrap metal. In 1994 prices jumped from 50 170$ per
ton with 10 percent of scrap metal being exported to offshore customers according to metalprices.com. Now
currently scrap metal is near $300/ton. This makes it more expensive for steel companies like Nucor to buy
back the steel and recycle it.
Other notable trends involve European production as well as new Antidumping rulings.
Industry Key success factors
To be successful in the steel industry a company must be very innovative and able to differentiate their
products from the next guy. Steel is steel and it is not important as to how it is packaged or how it looks but
whether it serves the customer s needs. In order to be successful production must be efficient, delivery must
be on time, and innovation is the key.
Competition
Being a steel manufacturer there is a lot of competition that Nucor faces. U.S. Steel and Alcoa are two large
competitors with similar financial figures and both are ranked between 100 and 200 on the Fortune 500
company list. Below are some financial ratio comparisons between Nucor and these top two competitors.

Essay on Nietzsche
An Analysis of Nietzsche s On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense Friedrich Nietzsche s On Truth and Lies
in a Nonmoral Sense represents a deconstruction of the modern epistemological project. Instead of seeking
for truth, he suggests that the ultimate truth is that we have to live without such truth, and without a sense of
longing for that truth. This revolutionary work of his is divided into two main sections. The first part deals
with the question on what is truth? Here he discusses the implication of language to our acquisition of
knowledge. The second part deals with the dual nature of man, i.e. the rational and the intuitive. He
establishes that neither rational nor intuitive man is ever successful in their pursuit of knowledge due ...

He once more establishes his point by saying that this peace treaty brings in its wake something which
appears to be the first step toward acquiring that puzzling truth drive (Nietzsche 452). Furthermore, he
argues that a uniformly valid and binding designation is invented for things, and this legislation of language
likewise establishes the first laws of truth. For the contrast between truth and lie arises here for the first time
(Nietzsche 452 453). In other words, Nietzsche establishes his foundation of truth as opposed to lies. Since
the development of language, all its representations are, according to Nietzsche, lies. Language is a form of
self deception, which humans have created to convince themselves that the unreal is real. Indeed, Nietzsche
asks, Is language the adequate expression of all realities? (Nietzsche 453). The emphasis here is the one to
one correspondence of an object to that of its spoken word.
For example, when I a rainbow, the first thing that I associate with it is color. Almost anyone would
understand me if associate the word color to the object rainbow . However, consider the following scenario:
what if you were never exposed to color? Since you were born into this world, you were kept inside a house
that had only shades of gray. In short, what if the world you consider as real is all in black and white? Now
consider that this person saw a rainbow outside his window for the first

perspective of software engineering methodologies and project management side. Some of them were
selected based on their importance held as non functional requirements. One of the actual methods of
measuring the usability degree of the analyzed tools involves the HCI factor (Human Computer Interaction).
The deployability refers to how reliable and easy to be designed is the software from development phase
until it arrives into actual production.

it measures how suitable is the privacy tool for its end users.
How easy is to manipulate the restrictions? In order to apply the restrictions it is needed applications to be
restarted. The entire process is easy and doesn t require advanced using skills from users end. Thus from this
point of view it can be stated the usability is high. The process can be summarized as below: at first find the
application to restrict in the main application list; then tap on the application icon; in the end the user must
tap the first check box of any category you want to restrict.
Accessibility it has a high degree as an overall; for instance, the global settings and application specific

Whole Class Assessment
By looking over students assessments, there were several patterns that emerged among my students when it
came to problem #4, which Shane, Enzo, and Shaanza s assessments provide those patterns.
Whole Class
As a whole class, based on the rubric and data for problem #4 where all the misconceptions occurred, 6 out
of 28 students completely got the problem wrong meaning they didn t have 7/10 or 3/10 or having the
answer of 7 written down. An example of this would be Shaanza s assessment where she put the fraction 3/7
as her answer. Meaning these students do not understand the concept of a denominator. Out of these students
one is a CELDT level 4, 1 IEP, and 2 struggling students. Out of 28 students, 9 students just wrote the
answer not written ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The data states that they need additional help conceptually and in academic language, since they did well
procedurally and in mathematical reasoning. I pulled students for small group instruction during morning
work because this is something they can easily miss and catch up on. So before we went over problem #4 as
a class, I pre introduced to them the sentence frame that will help them to use academic language and it will
also help with their conceptual understanding skills because they re using that sentence frame to explain
how they came to their answer. As a small group, we went over each question on the day 3 assessment using
that sentence frame so I can see how students were coming to their answers, which helped a lot because I
was able to correct on the spot any misconceptions they were having, which were the patterns mentioned
previously and seen in each student work sample. During the small group instruction, I also pre taught to
them March 2nd math lesson so students will have extra instruction before the rest of the class because I feel
after grading the assessments for my learning segment that these students would benefit from additional
practice, which is a next step that I will continue for the next lessons to come for students that I see are
struggling.

An Analysis and Comparison of Modern Tragedy in Drama
Aristotle thoroughly describes his understanding of the tragedy in the Poetics and bases this conception on
certain requirements. According to Aristotle the three most important variables that define a tragedy are plot,
characters, and theme. Using Oedipus Rex as a sort of ideal, this philosopher demonstrates how a tragedy
functions in order to evoke catharsis while exploring themes and human flaws, or mistakes. In Oedipus Rex,
the main figure, Oedipus the King is a subject of fate, unable to escape himself and his desire to uncover the
truth. In essence, this drama demonstrates the fall of a prominent figure brought down by his inescapable
fortune and self destruction. I definitely believe it is difficult to find a modern day tragedy that ... Show

case rests in the fact that Teddy murdered his wife, who suffered from mania, after she drowned his two
children. Once Teddy becomes aware of these truths his character, his status as a U.S. Martial, evaporates as
he contemplates his history and loss. Likewise, Oedipus search for the true murder of Laius eventually
reveals that he in fact murdered the former King. Once Oedipus becomes aware of this fact his whole
persona and world unravel as further truths become inherently evident. He must face the reality that destiny
drove the outcome of his life; and his inability to heed the advice of Jocasta, his wife and mother, who
pleads In God s name I beg you no.3 results in his fall from greatness and virtue. These two stories therefore
illustrate the climax in manners described by Aristotle who argues, The middle, or climax, must be caused
by earlier incidents and itself cause the incidents that follow.4 Granted, this element seems characteristic of
drama in general, the onset of conflict eventually elicits the apex of action. However, the events that follow
the climax allow tragedy to separate from other sects of fiction. The dénouement of Shutter Island
demonstrates the aspect of unraveling, or even entropy, which Aristotle discusses. In this story, Teddy comes
to his realization of the truth, and as a result, decides to feign lunacy in order to receive a lobotomy. We
initially view Teddy Daniels as an imposing figure, a U.S.

The Dangers Of Repressing The Id In Judith Guest s...
The Dangers of Repressing the Id:
An ACT Analysis of Judith Guest s Novel Ordinary People Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are
buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways. This quote by Sigmund Freud demonstrates the
dangers of repressing or bottling up feelings and emotions. His notion of repression is a commonly
discussed topic in psychology, as its dangers can be undermined. Though some people are fully capable of
living with such repression, not having an outlet when facing difficult emotions can lead to severe mental
breakdowns ranging from sorrow to depression. The novel Ordinary People by Judith Guest delves into
repression by suggesting, from a Psychoanalytic perspective, that constant repression of the Id psychic zone
leads to the formation of multiple layers of dangerous defense mechanisms which can only be controlled by
active reversal during regression. Guest s intended psychoanalytic theme can thus be approached by
analyzing it in three separate segments, Conrad s repression of his Id, Conrad s defense mechanisms and
Conrad s regression. Firstly, Conrad s Id has been nearly entirely repressed by his unconscious, leading him
to lack the typical emotions that a teenager of his age should be feeling. The Id is one of the psychic zones
proposed by Freud and it can be defined as humans unconscious source of instant gratification and
animalistic emotions. It is generally kept in harmony with other psychic zones in order to prevent it from

Principles Of Universal Design Of Kroger
ADA/Universal Design Project Summary The grocery store Kroger was inspected based on American s with
Disabilities Act (ADA) and universal design. Overall the store was very disability friendly although, like
many grocery stores, Kroger had items high on shelves that would be hard for people in wheelchairs to
reach. To fix this problem, some principles of universal design could be integrated into the store layout. The
general universal design of the store was fairly inclusive. The power doors at the entrance allowed for
equitable use, the first principle of universal design. Kroger also had restrooms on either ends of the store.
One of the sets of restrooms contained two unisex bathrooms. Though these two bathrooms didn t have
accessible signs there were grab bars and low sinks in the bathroom fulfilling the second universal design,
principle flexibility in use. The organization of the store made it simple and intuitive, one side of the store
contained groceries while the other contained home goods. This setup allows for optimal flow throughout
the store and ease when looking for specific items. Kroger complied with the low physical effort principle in
many ways, the doors to the bathrooms were very easy to push and pull, and had handles that would be

But one of the most profound and common chemical reaction that occurs is to formation of rust. Rust is a

combines with carbon dioxide in the air to form a weak carbonic acid. As this weak acid is formed the iron
starts to dissolve, some of the water will begin to break down into hydrogen and oxygen. This

Without love, some men are emotionally affected to the point they would rather die than to live without it.
For this reason, Millay tells that love is valuable even though it does not provide the necessity needed to
survive. Millay states that Yet a man is making friends with death / Even as I speak, for lack of love alone (7
8). Millay is verbally telling her readers that even though love is not a physical thing that is needed to stay
alive, many would prefer to die than not have love. The word yet from the line gives an effect that
emphasizes that love has some values in it. It can be said that to men that death is much friendlier if one
does not have love. Millay is telling us that due to the lack of love that men do not have, she knows that love
is causing men to die. Men are dying due to the lack of love, causing men to rather die than live without it.
The personification that is used is giving characteristics to death such as a death befriending man. It is
suggesting that love is more valuable than what Millay thought it would be by that men keep dying because
they do not have love. Generally speaking, love is something men would die for even if it isn t a physical
thing. Love may not a physical thing yet it may cause health problems and in addition, gives us a better

  • 2. How Does Jesus Change During The Eucharist In the book Encountering Christ in the Sacraments, it defines the word Real Presence as when the bread is consecrated, it is changed into Christ s Body. When the wine is consecrated, it is changed into Christ s Blood. The bread and wine do not literally change into flesh and blood, but their substance is. However, this does not mean this is the only way a person can experience the real presence of Jesus. In my life, I have felt this presence not by the Eucharist. Though I did not feel it during the Eucharist, I did feel it during the mass. It was during the homily, where the priest was telling the crowd a story that relates to the Gospel reading he just read. My attention span began to shrink when I felt something wrap around my shoulders. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. A Permanent International Investment Court And Its... Recently, the UNCTAD report of 2015 has waged a fierce war against the International Arbitration System by proposing some radical reformations to the ISDS mechanisms. One of the crucial challenges pertains to safeguarding the sovereignty of States with regards to their public policymaking by placing some limits on IIAs. In other words, the report suggests that the current International Arbitration mechanisms have constituted a breach to the sovereign right of the states to apply their national law, and to regulate in their public interest. Furthermore, the proposal envisages an eventual formation of a permanent international investment court and its possible multi lateralization either through BITs or international conventions. Suffice it to say that this was an inevitable outcome to the heated debate between the proponents and opponents of the ISDS. Especially that they preferred to put an end to many growing arbitration practices like waiver and fork in the road clauses in BITs. However, some thoughtful questions have arisen concerning the UNCTAD tendency towards reformation. The most intriguing question of all is whether it is necessary to protect states sovereignties, with regard to their right to apply their national law and to legislate in their public interests, from current international Arbitration mechanisms or not. Concerning the right of states to apply their national law, this right remains unviolated: as derogating from national ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Themes in Frankenstein Essay Frankenstein deals with two main social concerns, the level of moral responsibility that a creator possesses in relation to his creation, as well as the issue of the moral boundaries that exists in one s quest for knowledge, including the fine line between good and bad knowledge, The novel also deals with two main human concerns, which include a person s goals or aspirations as well as the issue of pride and its affect on a person. Mary Shelley highlights the issue of moral responsibility by the fact that Frankenstein neglects the issue at first, but then realises its importance. Frankenstein completely ignores his moral responsibility in relation to his work initially, blinded by his emotions, but once he realised that he had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bad knowledge in contrast, is knowledge that is single minded, driven by personal gain, and possesses very little constraints. Pride is probably the most important human issue that Mary Shelley explores, with Frankenstein s search for knowledge being more a quest for glory than one that was going to genuinely benefit society. A new species would bless me as it creator and source NO father could claim the gratitude of his child so completely as I should deserve theirs. Frankenstein s pride is blatantly displayed, as he disregards, his family, friends and his environment to spend day and night creating the creature, only to become conscious of the fact that it s a monster. His pride is further shown by the fact that he let s an innocent woman die just to preserve his reputation by not speaking out. The way pride is portrayed in the novel indicates that society back then was heavily based on ones reputation and prestige. Goals or aspirations is closely tied in with the other issues discussed earlier, in that both Frankenstein and Walton seek glory, but both realise, Frankenstein the hard way that glory comes at a price, and risks need to be taken in order to achieve one s goal, but its up to that person to decide where the risk is too great. This issue does reflect the values of Shelley s society, in that the three main ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Pulp Fiction Film Techniques Editing Time and Space in Movie Making Editing Time and Space in Movie Making Citizen Kane (1941) The manipulation of time and space in the film of citizen cane is different from that of Pulp Fiction in that it considers formal elements of film technique such as Mise en scene where it essentially involves a costume, setting and makeup staging and lighting (Belton, 46). The very important scene that happens in front of the camera appears in the final shot of the film. The setting function of the film has highlighted the key aspect of Kane s life compared to Pulp Fiction that is seen to intersect in many venues (Belton, 37). Cinematography has been used in the process of capturing the moving images and the manipulation of such images (Belton, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is because the editor has been able to create something in the movie that cannot be filmed by the use of various techniques in order to show the change of time visibly. These techniques give the editor a chance to give a different effect and be able to create something totally different to the film. The use of technique shows people an object change or the environment of an object change of a certain period of time such as a person acting in the film such as getting older or younger (Belton, 57). The film of Pulp Fiction is a good example of manipulation of time and space. Quentin Tarantino directed an iconic film that was filled with humor and violence as well as a nonlinear storyline. The art of the techniques is used to connect the interconnecting storylines of the mobster, fringe players, the mysterious briefcase and the small criminals (Belton, 46). This has presented the film in a chronological manner as a result of its unconventional structure, the extensive used of homage and the pictures of self reflexity. The holdup stage dinner starts the film in where the technique of time and space is used in order to pick up the story of Jules, Vincent, and Butch (Belton, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The way that this is demonstrated in The Incredibles is in the film when what ever the super hero s do, whether it s saving someone or stopping someone from breaking into a bank the super hero s of Municiberg where always remembered for what they did. I agree with the people on the train that is Ben Cousin is not a true hero because in the limelight he got caught up with drugs and alcohol and significantly down grated himself because he could have been a true hero if he focused on football, not on the money. But l do believe with the other person in the conversation who said Peter Carey is the greatest football hero. Peter Carey has played in more than 440 games and has kicked more than 500 goals he has also played in three Premiership games. Dmetri Kakmi believes that you have to be more than just a sports hero. A hero must be someone who exhibits extraordinary bravery, fortitude or greatness of soul. Dmetri Kakmi says that the sports people who should be hero s are Cathy Freeman and Nicky Winmar. It also explains the actual facts on how a crime occurred during the investigation. According to the text Biggs (2016), There are five rules of narrative writing. The first rule of narrative writing is, the report should always be written in first person. When the narrative explains first person, the narrative is stating that using I or Me in the reports identify the author of the person who is writing the investigative report. If I or Me is not being used to write the investigative reports, the investigation could be sought as made up or fake. The second rule of narrative writing is, the report should also be written in past tense along with first person view. What defines a good leader? History has taught us many things about leadership. Good Leadership can be the difference between winning a war and losing a war. Even in everyday life, a good leader is capable of achieving much greater things than a normal person. But leadership is a powerful tool that can be used both for the good of mankind and its downfall. • 13. Optimal Temperature Of The Fungal Amylase Ramos 2 Abstract The purpose of this experiment was to come up with the optimal temperature of the Fungal Amylase, Aspergillus oryzae, and the Bacterial Amylase, Bacillus liceniformis, as well as to identify if different temperatures would indeed affect the enzyme amylase by either slowing down the process or denaturing the enzyme. Enzymes are complex proteins, they can be thought of as a substance fabricated by a living organism that behaves as a stimulus, otherwise known as a catalyst, to cause a specific biochemical reaction. This experiment was performed by keeping the amylase mixed with starch at different temperatures, either in the heated water or in the ice bath. The temperatures varied at either 0, 25, 55, or 85 degrees Celsius. After a certain amount of time we would then move the test tubes containing the amylases and position them on a plate where iodine was then added to the starch amylase solution. We would do the same thing at different time intervals to see exactly how the enzyme catalyzed the starch. The hypothesis of this experiment was thought to be that the higher the temperature the slower the enzyme would then hydrolyze the starch. Both the Fungal and the Bacterial Amylase had an optimal temperature of 55 degrees Celsius as shown by our concluded results in this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If one had watched the film, he can see that the film is based on the real World War II setting as it portrays actual key figures Hitler, Goebbels, and Churchill and events around that time, such as German occupation in Paris and the Holocaust. Even though the film uses actual World War II setting, the story as a whole is a pure fiction. The film is a fictional alternate history of two different, but intertwined plots to assassinate Hitler. In reality, Hitler was not assassinated by the Jews, nor by Americans because he committed suicide. Aldo Raine. What Tarantino wants to imply through this film is that in the world of film, anything can be made possible, even altering history, at the filmmaker s discretion. John Nash John Forbes Nash, Jr. (born June 13, 1928) is an American mathematician whose works in game theory, differential geometry, and partial differential equations have provided insight into the forces that govern chance and events inside complex systems in daily life. His theories are used in market economics, computing, evolutionary biology, artificial intelligence, accounting, politics and military theory. Serving as a Senior Research Mathematician at Princeton University during the later part of his life, he shared the 1994 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with game theorists Reinhard Selten and John Harsanyi. After 1970 he was never committed to the hospital again and refused any medication. According to Nash, the film A Beautiful Mind inaccurately showed him taking new atypical antipsychotics during this period. He attributed the depiction to the screenwriter (whose mother, he notes, was a psychiatrist), who was worried about encouraging people with the disorder to stop taking their medication.[12] Others[who?], however, have questioned whether the fabrication obscured a key question as to whether recovery from problems like Nash s can actually be hindered by such drugs,[13] and Nash has said they are overrated and that the adverse effects are not given enough consideration once someone is considered mentally ill.[14][15] [16] According to Sylvia Nasar, author of the book A Beautiful Mind, on which the movie was based, Nash recovered gradually with the passage of time. Encouraged by his then former wife, De Lardé, Nash worked in a communitarian setting where his eccentricities were accepted. De Lardé said of Nash, it s just a question of living a quiet life .[17] Nash dates the start of what he terms mental disturbances to the early months of 1959 when his wife was pregnant. He has described a process of change from scientific rationality of thinking into the delusional thinking characteristic of persons who are psychiatrically diagnosed as schizophrenic or paranoid schizophrenic [18] including seeing himself as a messenger or having ... Essay on Nietzsche An Analysis of Nietzsche s On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense Friedrich Nietzsche s On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense represents a deconstruction of the modern epistemological project. Instead of seeking for truth, he suggests that the ultimate truth is that we have to live without such truth, and without a sense of longing for that truth. This revolutionary work of his is divided into two main sections. The first part deals with the question on what is truth? Here he discusses the implication of language to our acquisition of knowledge. The second part deals with the dual nature of man, i.e. the rational and the intuitive. He establishes that neither rational nor intuitive man is ever successful in their pursuit of knowledge due ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He once more establishes his point by saying that this peace treaty brings in its wake something which appears to be the first step toward acquiring that puzzling truth drive (Nietzsche 452). Furthermore, he argues that a uniformly valid and binding designation is invented for things, and this legislation of language likewise establishes the first laws of truth. For the contrast between truth and lie arises here for the first time (Nietzsche 452 453). In other words, Nietzsche establishes his foundation of truth as opposed to lies. Since the development of language, all its representations are, according to Nietzsche, lies. Language is a form of self deception, which humans have created to convince themselves that the unreal is real. Indeed, Nietzsche asks, Is language the adequate expression of all realities? (Nietzsche 453). The emphasis here is the one to one correspondence of an object to that of its spoken word. For example, when I a rainbow, the first thing that I associate with it is color. Almost anyone would understand me if associate the word color to the object rainbow . However, consider the following scenario: what if you were never exposed to color? Since you were born into this world, you were kept inside a house that had only shades of gray. In short, what if the world you consider as real is all in black and white? Now consider that this person saw a rainbow outside his window for the first ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a small group, we went over each question on the day 3 assessment using that sentence frame so I can see how students were coming to their answers, which helped a lot because I was able to correct on the spot any misconceptions they were having, which were the patterns mentioned previously and seen in each student work sample. During the small group instruction, I also pre taught to them March 2nd math lesson so students will have extra instruction before the rest of the class because I feel after grading the assessments for my learning segment that these students would benefit from additional practice, which is a next step that I will continue for the next lessons to come for students that I see are struggling. ... • 33. An Analysis and Comparison of Modern Tragedy in Drama Aristotle thoroughly describes his understanding of the tragedy in the Poetics and bases this conception on certain requirements. According to Aristotle the three most important variables that define a tragedy are plot, characters, and theme. Using Oedipus Rex as a sort of ideal, this philosopher demonstrates how a tragedy functions in order to evoke catharsis while exploring themes and human flaws, or mistakes. In Oedipus Rex, the main figure, Oedipus the King is a subject of fate, unable to escape himself and his desire to uncover the truth. In essence, this drama demonstrates the fall of a prominent figure brought down by his inescapable fortune and self destruction. Once Teddy becomes aware of these truths his character, his status as a U.S. Martial, evaporates as he contemplates his history and loss. Likewise, Oedipus search for the true murder of Laius eventually reveals that he in fact murdered the former King. Once Oedipus becomes aware of this fact his whole persona and world unravel as further truths become inherently evident. He must face the reality that destiny drove the outcome of his life; and his inability to heed the advice of Jocasta, his wife and mother, who pleads In God s name I beg you no.3 results in his fall from greatness and virtue. These two stories therefore illustrate the climax in manners described by Aristotle who argues, The middle, or climax, must be caused by earlier incidents and itself cause the incidents that follow.4 Granted, this element seems characteristic of drama in general, the onset of conflict eventually elicits the apex of action. However, the events that follow the climax allow tragedy to separate from other sects of fiction. The dénouement of Shutter Island demonstrates the aspect of unraveling, or even entropy, which Aristotle discusses. In this story, Teddy comes to his realization of the truth, and as a result, decides to feign lunacy in order to receive a lobotomy. We initially view Teddy Daniels as an imposing figure, a U.S. ... • 34. The Dangers Of Repressing The Id In Judith Guest s... The Dangers of Repressing the Id: An ACT Analysis of Judith Guest s Novel Ordinary People Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways. This quote by Sigmund Freud demonstrates the dangers of repressing or bottling up feelings and emotions. His notion of repression is a commonly discussed topic in psychology, as its dangers can be undermined. Though some people are fully capable of living with such repression, not having an outlet when facing difficult emotions can lead to severe mental breakdowns ranging from sorrow to depression. The novel Ordinary People by Judith Guest delves into repression by suggesting, from a Psychoanalytic perspective, that constant repression of the Id psychic zone leads to the formation of multiple layers of dangerous defense mechanisms which can only be controlled by active reversal during regression. Guest s intended psychoanalytic theme can thus be approached by analyzing it in three separate segments, Conrad s repression of his Id, Conrad s defense mechanisms and Conrad s regression. Firstly, Conrad s Id has been nearly entirely repressed by his unconscious, leading him to lack the typical emotions that a teenager of his age should be feeling. The Id is one of the psychic zones proposed by Freud and it can be defined as humans unconscious source of instant gratification and animalistic emotions. It is generally kept in harmony with other psychic zones in order to prevent it from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Overall the store was very disability friendly although, like many grocery stores, Kroger had items high on shelves that would be hard for people in wheelchairs to reach. To fix this problem, some principles of universal design could be integrated into the store layout. The general universal design of the store was fairly inclusive. The power doors at the entrance allowed for equitable use, the first principle of universal design. Kroger also had restrooms on either ends of the store. One of the sets of restrooms contained two unisex bathrooms. Though these two bathrooms didn t have accessible signs there were grab bars and low sinks in the bathroom fulfilling the second universal design, principle flexibility in use. The organization of the store made it simple and intuitive, one side of the store contained groceries while the other contained home goods. This setup allows for optimal flow throughout the store and ease when looking for specific items.
