CHIPLUN
Gharda Institute of Technology, Lavel.
1) Transportation Engineering and Planning : S.K. Khanna
2) Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning : Kadiyali , Y.R.
Reference
s
•Blockage of road due to absence of signal.
•Blockage of road due to moment of buses as bus
stop is near by and rickshaw stop and vegetable
vendors.
•Blockage of road due to small wide of road.
•Poor drainage system.
•Poor Traffic control system.
Introduction
Manual Survey Method
Observations
Provide extra widening
Make use of provided zebra marking on road
Provide sign signals
Provide proper speed breakers
Allow limited parking of Rickshaw .
Allow limited vegetable vendors.
Solution on Congestion
1) Traffic volume data is usually needed for planning and monitoring
measures.
2) Various classes, stream, turning movement, etc of the vehicles can be
known.
3) Hourly, daily, monthly change in the traffic volume can be
determined.
4) Geometrical design, traffic capacity, speed trend is studied.
5) Large number of vehicles are moving from market road and Mumbai
Goa road.
Conclusions
Traffic survey aim to capture data that
accurately reflects the real- world traffic
situation in the area. A traffic survey can
be manual or automatic.
The assessment of the profitability of
road and street construction project
needs reliable information about the
present traffic volume and on that basis
future traffic volume can be predicted.
With the help of traffic survey we get
high quality and clear tables and graphic
presentation about the traffic situation.
