holds them back. Entrepreneurs are a living example that you can step

To accelerate innovation - implementing new ideas in large
corporations can become so difficult and slow that employees stop

entrepreneur and even if they do, they don’t know how to

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Paytm founder is a young and dynamic
business stalwart and is extremely positive in both thoughts and action.
 The first engineer in his family.
Encouraging and supportive family background.
He hailed from a very small town and completed his education from
Hindi-medium .
He had embarked on the notion behind this fantastic website and has
taken it to glorious heights and fame.
He started his maiden enterprise Indiasite.net, a search engine that he
later sold off, while still being an undergraduate student at DCE.
Some brief assignments taken by him:
 At Lotus Interworks in New Jersey,
Assured of having saved enough money for his dream project, he
quit his job at Lotus when he was just two months into completing
a year at the company.

IF THE TRANSACTION IS UNSUCCESSFUL…
•The money will be refunded to Paytm Wallet if any of the transaction fails due to
any reason.
•Also if there is any wrong order placed or damaged product received, there is a
return policy as of collecting the order and refund it after inspection.
•A Promo code, once used is not refunded in case of cancellation of order either by
customer or Paytm.
•The maximum value that can be stored and utilized in a month in a Paytm Wallet is
INR 10,000/-
•The maximum value that can be transferred from P2P or bank account in a single
transaction is INR 5,000/-
•The maximum value that can be transferred from P2P or bank account in a single

worth Rs 250 crore to launch ‘YiPPee! to Rupee’ campaign.
•Every time a person bought a pack of YiPPee! Noodles priced
between Rs 5 to Rs 40, he/she got a Paytm coupon of the
same value inside the pack.
•Acc. to Shankar Nath, Senior Vice President, Paytm “It was
also a loyalty reward for existing consumers of both the

•Paytm has tied-up with ice cream
franchise Kwality Walls.
• As per deal, Kwality Walls will give
away a discount of Rs 10 on prepaid
recharges and postpaid mobile payments to
all its customers who purchase a Cornetto.
• Calling it the ‘Cornetto Love Ka
Recharge’ offer, it is valid only till
March 31, 2015.
• This offer is a way of combining two
treats into one for the users.

How does Paytm manage to attract new
users?
•Whenever anyone see the offers from paytm , 2 offers out
of 3 would be for a first time user ie. it's for a new user.
•So it tempts a person who is not in paytm to make an
account or those who already have an account, they make
multiple ones.
• So these websites can add lots of new users and thus
more revenue from the advertisers in the website.
As a popular platform , it charges companies to get
featured, build partnerships, offer their coupons and such. as
any other startup they may take some more time to break even
and earn profits if they are not currently.
There are three business models for generating revenues –
(a) commissions from telcos/DTH providers for each
recharge done on the site
(b) a small fee from customers when they opt for coupons
and fees from merchants who come on board. The merchant
model varies, though.
(c) while some pay for listing their coupons, others pay for
distributing those and so on.
PLANS:-
• Planning to set up close to 50,000 retail shops in India that will help
people recharge their digital wallet and also provide basic customer
care.
•It has close to 20 million active users which is more than the number
of credit card users in this country.
•To launch Rs 100-crore ad campaign.

PAYTM App Data Report:
•Android app brings close to 59% transaction, while iOS app stands at 7%. Other
browsers stand at 23%, while iOS+Android browsers bring 9% transaction.
•In terms of app analytics, PayTM team shared couple of data points with
