is currently managing around 10 social initiatives, benefitting 1000s beneficiaries, set tools to be able to
mobilize the largest volunteering network of university students in Jordan (mined the database), formed
strategic partnerships (Nuqul Foundation, British Council, Injaz and Loyac), secured a long-term fund from
British Council to train beneficiaries and our volunteers on Active Citizenship.

Assisted in the overall management of a customized version of Y-combinatorβs Program to select, train
and then empower Idea people in Jordan to build their startups and profit in a short period of time. My
main challenge while there was to accustom the Y-Combinator model for Jordanians and Arab/Islamic
marketplace. I also saw over the selection process to sift out innovative and disruptive business ideas in
Media, ICT, Online business, and/or Software solutions. Meydan has enjoyed a steady rise in popularity
amongst the Techie community of Jordan at launch in 2010. This was heavily influenced by many factor one
to do with the community coming to a tipping point by its own and wanted a destination, secondly Meydan
was one of the first Y-combinator models to be implemented in the region, which made it an immediate
destination. Rise of popularity was also influenced by an online media campaign that was implemented by
my team. Even though there was little content but the hyper media of short movies helped communicate
well. During my time there it has taken 2 batches of idea stage startups. The entrepreneurs who submitted to
those 2 batches make the backbone of the entrepreneurial eco-system in Jordan today.
