The Bible stands alone as an incredible ancient book. It is forcefully substantiated by thousands of ancient copies and thousands of fulfilled prophecies. It has always been powerful.
3. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ
Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors
will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and
have become convinced of, because you know those from
whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have
known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you
wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that
the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every
good work.

5. Why the Early Date for Revelation?
• The 7 churches written to were GONE after!
– Ridiculous to address destroyed churches.
– The prophecies in the letters came true in history.
6.
7. For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we
told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in
power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. He
received honor and glory from God the Father when the
voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is
my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” We
ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when
we were with him on the sacred mountain. We also have
the prophetic message as something completely reliable,
and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light
shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the
morning star rises in your hearts.
2 Peter 1:16-21

8. Old Testament Shows Mere Copies
It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be
purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with
better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made
with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered
heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. Nor did he enter
heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters
the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the
creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the
culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face
judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many;
and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring
salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Hebrews 9:23-28
9. Jesus Quoted from Genesis
Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it
lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every
reason?” “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the
beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and
said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother
and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God
has joined together, let no one separate.” “Why then,” they
asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a
certificate of divorce and send her away?” Jesus replied,
“Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your
hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
Matthew 19:3-8
10. 1000s of Prophecies Fulfilled
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to
what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For
since the message spoken through angels was binding,
and every violation and disobedience received its just
punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great
a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced
by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard
him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and
various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit
distributed according to his will.
Hebrews 2:1-4

Proof of Truth
While there are both obvious and subtle
prophecies, most are very detailed and
specific.
No other religion has specific, repeated,
and unfailing fulfillment of predictions
many years in advance of contingent
events over which the predictor had no
control.
Mathematicians have calculated the
odds of Jesus fulfilling only 8 of the
Messianic prophecies as 1 out of 1017 (a
1 followed by 17 zeros). This is equivalent
to covering the entire state of Texas with
silver dollars 2 feet deep, marking one of
them, mixing them all up and having a
blindfolded person select the marked
one at random the first time.
There are no prophetic failures.
12. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy
of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own
interpretation of things. For prophecy never had
its origin in the human will, but prophets, though
human, spoke from God as they were carried
along by the Holy Spirit.

13. SHARE GOD’S WORD
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to
preaching and to teaching.
1 Timothy 4:13
TRUST GOD’S WORD
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with
what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is
my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5-6
STUDY GOD’S WORD
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in
Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness
and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was
true.
