injuries if exposed improperly. The effect can be acute or chronic or affect
the equipment.

• Maintain regular housekeeping.
• Use of water to control the dust.
• Proper posture as per wind direction.
• Ensure your colleague is safe while dusting.
•Ask and use Safety Goggles.
• Ask and Use dust mask.
•Use Eye Wash if affected.
•Seek first aid or Medical attention if affected.

• Perform self inspection before proceeding the work .
• Pay attention on slippery surfaces.
• Report the liquid spillage on floors.
• Walk carefully .
• Barricade the working area.
• Ensure the loose wiring doesn’t affect you or others.
• Place appropriate warning signs at work area.
• Use appropriate safety shoes.
• Maintain proper housekeeping.
• Seek first aid or medical attention if affected.

• Don’t carry the objects affecting your visibility.
• Don’t work in the condition where visibility is not
clear.
• Don’t leave the objects on the floor which will affect
you or others.
• Don’t obstruct the pathway.
• Don’t administrate first aid if you are not familiar
with the practice.

Risk: Back injury due to improper technique for manual lift,
bruise and material damage.

Do’s
• Think before you lift anything.
• Ensure the material doesn't’ t have any sharp
edges to harm.
• Always follow the manual lifting techniques.
• Ensure the load is not above your lifting capability.
• Use the trolleys for transporting the materials.
• Use appropriate PPE.
• Ask help & advice if you require.
• Seek first aid if you are injured.

bruise and material damage.

•Understand the Material Safety Data Sheet/COSHH

• Use the appropriate chemicals.

• Use PPE.
• Wash your hands prior eating or drinking.
• Report to your supervisor if any discomfort.
• Seek first aid if affected.

• Proper Male-Female industrial socket must be used for power
connection.
• Double insulated cables should be used and checked regularly
for an kind of damage.
• Use 110v power tools.
• Only competent technician should be allowed to repair.
• Fire extinguisher to be kept handy.
• Usage of appropriate PPE.
• Use appropriate tool
• Seek first aid if injured.

• Provide rebar caps on protruding steel bars.
• Bend the top end of protruding steel bars.
• Barricading the workplace.
• Appropriate storage practice.
• Report unsafe conditions.
• Remove the protruding objects if unsafe.
• Perform self inspection before proceeding the work.
• Keep protruding objects separate from other debris.
• Always maintain the housekeeping during and after the work.
• Use appropriate PPE.
• Seek first aid if injured.

• Permit to work at height.
• Always be alert while working.
• Use safety harness if working above 1.8 meters from floor.
• Edge protection/Toe board on working platform to avoid fall of materials.
• Inspect and Secure your ladder.
• Provide proper permanent scaffolding for height works.
• Only use the scaffolding which is inspected or tagged.
• Only the authorized person to erect the scaffoldings.
• Ensure the area below is secured with barricades and warning signs.
• Usage of appropriate PPE.
• Report the unsafe condition to your supervisor.

• Cylinders should be stored in designated shaded
area, well ventilated away from direct sunlight.
• Cylinder storage should be away from all sources of ignition.
• Proper Segregation of Empty and Full cylinder.
• Cylinder storage should be away from any vehicular movement.
• Fire extinguishers must be kept handy near storage.
• Proper warning signage's should be placed at storage.
• Always be on alert.
• Always maintain the housekeeping during and after the work.

• Obtain Permit prior commencing the work.
• Only trained/Competent workers to be allowed for torch application.
• Periodical inspection of hose for leakage.
• Flash back arrestor must be present.
• Cylinder must be in upright position.
• DCP fire extinguisher, fire blanket must be kept handy.
• Always be on alert
• Always maintain the housekeeping during and after the work
• Follow the work instruction
• If any doubt ask
• Use appropriate PPE & Fire fighting device
• Seek first aid if affected
• Inform the supervisor if the work completed

local Exhaust Ventilation.

• Personal Protective Equipment (chemical cartridge masks)
to be provided.
• Place appropriate warning signs at work area.
• Maintain proper housekeeping .
• Seek first aid or medical attention if affected.

QHSE Department Page 12 Hazard : Short circuit Do’s • Proper Male-Female industrial socket must be used for power connection. • Double insulated cables should be used and checked regularly for an kind of damage. • Use 110v power tools. • Only competent technician should be allowed to repair. • Fire extinguisher to be kept handy. • Usage of appropriate PPE. • Use appropriate tool • Seek first aid if injured.
  • 13. QHSE Department 13 Risk: Severe burns due to contact with live electrical cables, shock, fatality/Electrocution. QHSE Department Page 13 Hazard : Short circuit Don’ts • Don’t use uninspected/faulty tools . • Don’t remove any guards/handle. • Don’t attempt the shortcuts. • Don’t use personal tools. • Don’t administrate first aid if not familiar with the practice.
  • 14. Risk: Minor laceration, bruise or bodily injuries from sharp edges. QHSE Department Page 14 Hazard : Protruding or sharp edges Do’s • Provide rebar caps on protruding steel bars. • Bend the top end of protruding steel bars. • Barricading the workplace. • Appropriate storage practice. • Report unsafe conditions. • Remove the protruding objects if unsafe. • Perform self inspection before proceeding the work. • Keep protruding objects separate from other debris. • Always maintain the housekeeping during and after the work. • Use appropriate PPE. • Seek first aid if injured.

Risk: Fatality, injuries due to fall from height, property damage QHSE Department Page 16 Do’s • Permit to work at height. • Always be alert while working. • Use safety harness if working above 1.8 meters from floor. • Edge protection/Toe board on working platform to avoid fall of materials. • Inspect and Secure your ladder. • Provide proper permanent scaffolding for height works. • Only use the scaffolding which is inspected or tagged. • Only the authorized person to erect the scaffoldings. • Ensure the area below is secured with barricades and warning signs. • Usage of appropriate PPE. • Report the unsafe condition to your supervisor. Risk: Fatality or severe burn to the worker / property damage QHSE Department Page 20 Hazard : Fire/Open flame Do’s • Obtain Permit prior commencing the work. • Only trained/Competent workers to be allowed for torch application. • Periodical inspection of hose for leakage. • Flash back arrestor must be present. • Cylinder must be in upright position. • DCP fire extinguisher, fire blanket must be kept handy. • Always be on alert • Always maintain the housekeeping during and after the work • Follow the work instruction • If any doubt ask • Use appropriate PPE & Fire fighting device • Seek first aid if affected • Inform the supervisor if the work completed
