1 Greed, Hatred and Delusion poison the mind
May we abandon them to reach Truth Sublime

2 The Delusion of a Self brings untold suffering
May we abandon it for a state of Peace within

Doubt and clinging to Rites hinder Dhamma progress
May we abandon them in our Spiritual quest

4 The danger of wrong attention and ways is great
May we abandon them to reach the Goal ahead

5 Many are trapped by Sloth and Mental Laziness
May we abandon them with constant mindfulness

6 So often are we careless, heedless and mindless
May we abandon such states before they get worse

7 There is so much of mental distraction and confusion
May we abandon them and attain clear comprehension

8 It’s great to follow the Noble Ones and listen to their Teachings
May we strive on in this way
for Compassion, Wisdom and Blessings

May we abandon this to be free from misery

10 We need to have Faith in Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha
May this Refuge guide us on our Way to Nibbana

11 Sense indulgence, immorality are growing each day
May we not be trapped by this unwholesomeness
come what may

Disrespect and foolish stubbornness are a weakness of the mind
May we be respectful and abandon habits of the wrong kind

13 Restlessness and Negligence prevail in many
May we strive to calm the mind and live mindfully

14 It is unwise to get into bad friendship
May we be heedful to be free from hardship

15 Beware of shamelessness and a sheer lack of moral dread
May we have the shame and fear to do deeds of greed and hate

On Birth, Old Age, Sickness and Death constantly Contemplate
May we strive on in the Dhamma before it is too late
