Reiki Defined
⢠Rei- universal, higher knowledge or
spiritual wisdom
⢠Ki- life energy. The same as Chi in Chinese
or Ti or Ki in Hawaiian. This is a non-
physical energy that animates all living
things. When this life energy is low you
are more vulnerable to illness. Ki is also
the primary energy of our emotions,
thoughts and spiritual life.

Do all Healers Use Reiki?
⢠There are many kinds of healing energy
⢠Reiki is a special kind of healing energy that
can only be channeled by someone that has
been attuned to it. Otherwise another kind of
healing energy is being used.
⢠People who already do healing work report a
consistent increase of at least fifty percent in
the strength of their healing after taking Reiki
training.

Slide 15
Is Reiki a Religion?
⢠While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a
religion.
⢠It has no dogma, and there is nothing you
must believe in order to learn and use Reiki.
⢠It is not dependent on a belief at all and will
work whether you believe in it or not.
⢠Reiki comes from God enabling many people
to go beyond intellectual concepts and
directly experience their religion.
