The OHS Class of 1967 will celebrate its 45th class reunion on September 28-30, 2012 with various events in and around Oswego, Illinois. On Friday there will be a fish fry, Saturday includes a school tour and dinner at a classmate's home, and Sunday is a picnic at Hudson Park. The reunion dinner on Saturday features appetizers, salads, chicken, beef, vegetables, bread, dessert and a cash bar. The schedule includes welcoming remarks, prayer, trivia, and remembering deceased classmates. A class book provides updates on attending and non-attending classmates. The document gives contact and biographical information for several classmates.

grandchildren, ages 10, 3, and 6 months. Tom worked for Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for 8 years
as a conductor and also had his own painting business for many years. He worked as a journeyman
painter and paperhanger for over 40 years, and is now retired. Judy retired in 2005 from 34 years as an
educator in Oswego School District, teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Eastview, Long Beach, and Old Post
Elementary. We are active volunteers in our church and in our community. Since our retirement, we have
enjoyed travelling both in the U.S. to visit our grandchildren and in Europe. Judy was elected to the
Kendall County Board in the November, 2012 election, and will be sworn in on December 3, 2012.”

Gus wrote: “I’ve been living in Plano for the past 36 years. I retired from Processed Plastics as Vice President of
Manufacturing in 2003 after 37 years with the company. I have 3 children, Noel, Michael and Lindsay who live in the
area. I also have two grandchildren, Dylan 4 and Ellis, 2. They visit with Grandpa Gus on a regular basis.
I enjoy fishing with my 3 brothers, Manny, Mike and George; Manny has a beautiful home on Lake Holiday
and we fish as often as weather permits. George lives on the river in Yorkville and when Manny is not
available, we hit the river. Mike lives in California but visits often. My sister Christine, who still looks like she
did when she was a High School cheerleader, likes to join us when she can tear herself away from her
granddaughter, Jayda.
Retirement is great; we do what we want when we want since my siblings are retired too. THESE are the good

Diane wrote: “45 years! Wow! And Bob and I have been married 40 years! We've all been on our own
separate journeys since our OHS days and hopefully we are all aging like fine wine....better as each year goes by.
Bob and I are enjoying retirement and still live just south of Somonauk on a country road. We get up in the
morning, drink coffee, read the newspaper, watch some news, spend time on the computer, then do retired things,
like paint the house, clean the house, babysit the grand-kids, eat out, go shopping. I exercise at Curves,
love walking, boating, reading, and spending time with friends and family. We both have our part-time jobs, Bob
does home inspections and I substitute teach, and we are active in our church, do some volunteer work, and enjoy
spending time with family. Our son and daughter have blessed us with 4 grandchildren so far and they are a joy!
We've also been fortunate to take some nice trips, most recently to Hawaii for our 40th anniversary. I am thankful
to still be here and for the many blessings God has given me. I look forward to seeing those who can be at the

hdavis2012@frontier.com. Harry wrote: “ After graduation from Oswego High, Harry went to IIT in Chicago to
become an engineer – he dropped out and was working off and on, going to WawaTech and being a bum until he decided to go
into the Air Force in 1974. Those first seven years out of high school were lost years ending in being homeless and living on
handouts, but he decided to get his ass in gear and make something of himself. His distinguished technical career included the
formation of a corporation. He designed, manufactured and marketed one of the first microcomputer kits after leaving the Air
Force in 1974-76 (New Mexico). The Air Force gave him broad experience in electronics as an instrumentation mechanic and
in managing large groups.
Deciding to expand his experience, Harry entered the fast paced field of computer and data networking
electronics. Positions as Field Service Engineer and as a Technical Support Specialist led to computer, data communications,
telecommunications and software experience from 1977-88. After completing his Associate's degree in education after fifteen
years at WawaTech, he attended Northern Illinois University to complete his Bachelor's degree in 1985. While in school, he
started as a part-time print helper in the computer department and worked his way up to a full-time position as Network
Analyst. His responsibilities included design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementation of a large data

7. communications network. Harry graduated from NIU with a self-designed Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology and
decided to continue his technical career with an emphasis on data and telecommunications. While working as
Telecommunications Manager at R&B Enterprises 1985-86 (Pennsylvania), Harry invented a Part 68 Test Set that, through
Harry's marketing and sales skill, took customers away from the competition.
During this period Harry worked directly with the National Bureau of Standards, the Federal Communications Commission,
and the Electronics' Industries Association. Harry also designed and delivered seminars and workshops on Part 68 testing and
design to Fortune 500 companie. The successful design and marketing of the Part 68 Test Set caused the competition to offer
Harry a position as Vice-President of Compliance Design 1986-88 (Massachusetts). Engineering, manufacturing, marketing,
sales, and training for the company's test equipment were managed concurrently. By the time he left the company to continue
his education, he had the manufacturing operation. He was also on the editorial staff of "Compliance Engineering," developed
and presented workshops and seminars to Fortune 500 companies, and continued working with the FCC and EIA.
Northern Illinois University was again chosen for his MSEd degree in Instructional Technology with a minor in
psychology 1990. He had decided upon leaving Compliance Design that he would turn his avocation into his vocation. His first
job in education was with the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy as the Head of Instructional Technology 1988-93
(Aurora, IL). He assisted faculty in instructional technology and instructional design, chaired the copyright committee,
participated in strategic planning, managed a $100,000 budget and sixteen person staff and was a member of AECT, IAECT,
I.C.E., IICS and IVLA. He designed, outfitted and ran a large professional video studio and editing suite, designed and installed a
microwave-based distance education system and designed a fiber-optic audio/video local area network.
Harry is a world traveler. Besides living and traveling in the Americas and Europe he spent time in India
(1993). While in India, he visited universities and secondary schools to experience the educational system in a developing
country. Upon returning from India, Harry decided to work on his doctorate in Instructional Technology at Northern. During
his full-time class attendance he worked as an instructor at Columbia College of Chicago 1993-94. At the National Education
Training Group 1994-95 (Naperville, IL), Harry started as an NIU intern in instructional design and quality assurance, he
became a course developer. He completed the instructional design, development and production of multiple CD-ROM based
courses as the lead developer. He was also the lead instructional designer for the research and development of the company's
new interactive multimedia courseware.
Harry left NETG and suspended work on his doctorate to work for a company designing and developing a Total Quality
Management problem-solving Electronic Performance Support System for Union Pacific Railroad 1995 (Chicago, IL). After
months of work, Union Pacific cancelled the contract. He was hired soon after to work with Tellabs 1995-96 (Lisle, IL)
designing, developing and training for their new Asynchronous Transfer Mode data communications product and to spearhead
their multimedia efforts. He became the subject matter expert on data networks. Harry was a senior trainer and senior
instructional designer until he left for a position at Lucent Technologies.
At Lucent Technologies 1996-2000 (Naperville, IL) Harry worked as a performance consultant and
instructor/developer in Customer Training and Information Products. He completed a set of eight interactive multimedia CD-
ROM courses. This led to Harry having to make an around-the-world trip to determine international response to the courses –
he made a little side trip to Greece for his birthday. Harry also developed a website for Lucent and taught workshops on
"HTML for Beginners" and "Websites for the Corporate Intranet." At the start of Lucent's decline before the
telecommunications downturn, Harry left to go back to Tellabs 2000-2005 as a Project Lead/Instructor for customer training
on their products. He distinguished himself in this position and was a subject matter expert, course developer and trainer - a
rare combination. Harry also worked with e-learning courseware design and development prior to being laid off during the
telecommunications downturn. Harry returned to the telecommunications field working for Ciena Corp. 2006-2007
(Baltimore) as a Senior Training Engineer designing and developing instructor led and web-based training. While at Ciena
some injuries sustained in the Air Force came to be extremely painful and caused him to be disabled. He left Ciena to move
back to Hoopeston, IL where he is now retired. He helps out as a member of the American Legion as the BINGO banker and
webmaster. Harry has also been President of the International Visual Literacy Association, a professional photographer and
teacher, woodworker, and a computer consultant. He has volunteered his time in the past as lecturer, tutor and ASPCA board
member. Harry is a life-long learner and intends to stay that way.

affairs from '87-09. I have been working from my home since May of 2009 as a free lance writer/editor, mainly
covering science, and since '09 I've been a substitute teacher in the Webster Groves (MO) school district where
our children, Ann, 29 and Jim, 26, went to school. I had a book of essays on the environment and natural
history of Illinois and Missouri published in 1993. Signals from the Heartland (Walker and Co., NY). Two

Carol wrote, “My husband Bob Crawford lost his 9 mo. Battle with pancreatic cancer in Aug. 2003

I taught middle school art for 30 years in Elgin, IL and Seminole, FL and retired in 2005. I started

I have spent 6 years caring for my husband, father and mother-in-law, helping my daughter with a
divorce, older son’s wife’s illness, and younger son through college. I enjoy the beach, sailing, biking,

12. Pam wrote: “After high school I went to NIU, ended up living in DeKalb, getting married, having my two
children (Eric and Angela) and working for an insurance company. After divorcing I moved back to the Aurora
area with Barber-Greene as my employer. In 1984 I moved to Atlanta, married (Don) in 1988, worked for
Firestone Regional Office for several years, and retired.
We now live about 30 miles north of Atlanta. When we moved here in 2000 it had more of a rural appeal. Twelve
years has done away with that, but even with fighting more traffic we love it here. We live on a small lake and have
wonderful fun-loving neighbors.
Don and I share five children. He has two boys and a girl to add to my two. Two live fairly close and the other
three are based in Austin, Phoenix and Las Vegas, giving us plenty of places to go visit.
We also share five grandchildren with only one of them being a girl. Guess who is spoiled? Their ages range from
15 to 22. Two of the Grandson’s are serving their country with the eldest being in Afghanistan. We pray for their
safe return.

“What have I been doing for the last 45 years? After attending a number of institutions of higher learning, I found one
that would give me a piece of paper attesting to the large amount of money spent on courses with little or no value to
what I went on to do. In 1972 I moved to Eau Claire WI and became involved in retail, owning several different stores
before finally settling in to Shopko, a regional chain similar to Target.
Along came 1982 and I met the love of my life Mary, and we raised three children, Beau, Marshall and Danielle. The boys
were rotten to the core when they were growing up and yet they both turned out to be great dads and business men.
Danielle found her calling as an RN and is working on her masters and hopefully her doctorate.
I am up to eight grand kids all of which are girls (no bb guns, trucks, tractors in my house, oh well). Number nine is due in
March 2013 this will probable the last chance to get a hunting buddy.
I feel I have lived a blessed life with relatively good health, been and seen a number of interesting countries and have a
great family and friends. Unfortunately, my special love found her special place in heaven last March, we had been
together for thirty years.
Hope to see all of you at the 50th in 2017.”

Sue wrote, “We are both retired and continue to enjoy our Minnesota home on beautiful Lake
George. We love the peace of the north woods among the pines, the lady-slippers, and the critters. We
spend time travelling to keep up with our 5 grandkids, ages 2 ½ to 10. Two grandsons are in Madison, WI
and we have a granddaughter and 2 grandsons in Bakersfield, CA. This summer we had all 5 here at the
lake for tubing, fishing off the dock, catching critters, and roasting marshmallows over the campfire.
When we’re not chasing grandkids, Sue, being a former teacher and interpretive naturalist, loves
to point out the flora and fauna of the forest. She volunteers at Itasca State Park. Wil likes to work on
home projects and fix stuff. The grandkids say “Papa can fix anything!” He also has a storage business on
the side. We love to take walks in the woods. We think we have found a Minnesota record for the largest

15. balsam fir tree! Our 15 minutes of fame! We try to live a simple life and are thankful for faith, family,
friends, and every day that we have good health. We wish the best to the class of ’67 and their families,

Doris wrote…” Sorry that I will not make it to our 45th class reunion. I’d already made reservations to fly
from Denver to Syracuse at 1:00 a.m. on the 30th before I got the invitation. I’ll be spending the entire month of
October on Skaneatles Lake—not far from my daughter Sarah and family. The year we turned 50, I submitted a
lengthy description about my life since high school, while others simply wrote “Divorced. Two kids.” I took the
request quite literally. I’ll try to keep it brief this time. I currently live in Boulder and have been in Colorado since
1993. My husband Alan passed away in 2002 and I left my bank management job the following year. Since then,
I’ve been managing the residential rental properties that I own in and around Boulder. Although I had no lifelong
aspiration to write a book, that’s exactly what I did in 2005. It’s a memoir (of sorts)—called Signs of Alan. It was

My family has expanded since 1999. Three of my four kids are married and I am grandma to six ranging in age from
7 months to 18 years old. In my spare time, I volunteer and pursue new life experiences.

Center and, currently, I am in my fifth year of service as president of the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society. In
addition, I’ve received training in Reiki I and II, have taken up meditation, and, more recently, yoga. When I turned
60, I learned to play the upright bass and now enjoy jamming with other bluegrass pickers. I’m also into
independent films and aspire to be a film critic when I grow up! Or maybe even a yoga instructor! LOL”

Yikes! 45 years since we graduated? Why does it seem only a few years ago? After OHS, I attended the University of
Illinois in elementary education, married Keith in June of ’70 and graduated in Jan. of ’71. I taught 4 th grade at East View
in Oswego for 6 years along side Elizabeth Parkhurst, Hazel Shaffer [remember them?] and Judy Gilmour!

17. Keith and I built our first house in ’73 where we lived for 16 years. When we started our family, I was fortunate to be
able to be a stay-at-home mom. All three of our kids graduated from U of I. Our oldest daughter Allyson and Sky have
two daughters, Averhy [8] and Eden [5] and live in the Champaign/Urbana area. She has her own business as a
photographer as well as being a stay-at-home mom [check out www.sweet-pea-photography.com]. Our son Adam and
Jen have two daughters, Lili [6] and June [3] and live in Milledgeville near Rock Falls/Sterling. He is a Farm Business Farm
Manager and also helps Jen with her quarter horses. Our youngest daughter Amanda lives in Chicago and is in theatre
[she works at Trader Joes to earn money]. She is a member of the Red Tape Theatre Company in Chicago and has also
performed at the North Carolina Shakespeare and Michigan Shakespeare Theatres.
After all the kids were in school, I helped at Playmate Preschool in Oswego for 6 years before going back to full time
work in ’94 when Keith decided to retire after teaching 32 years. He said someone had to ‘bring home the bacon.’ So,
for the past 19 years I have been at Naper School in Naperville as a teaching/special ed. assistant. Hopefully, in one more
year I, too, will retire!
Though it took 16 years to complete over a 26 year span, Keith built a 44 foot sailboat called Jubilee. During those 26
years he took 10 years off from working on the boat to build our present house on the farm where I grew up. We have
the boat up in Racine, WI on Lake Michigan and have had it in the water for 8 summers. It has been a dream that
actually came true! We spend as much time on the boat as we can. Usually we go up on Tuesday and come home on
Saturday. This past summer we sailed down to Montrose Harbor in Chicago [took 7 hours of motoring all the way since
the wind wasn’t with us], took Amanda and friends on sails all the next day, and then headed back to Racine the third
day [another 7 hour trip]. It was fantastic! Next summer we plan to sail around southern Lake Michigan to the Michigan
side stopping at different harbors and then back across the lake to Racine. Depending on the wind, the trip back across
will take 15 or more hours! Keith and I have been so blessed over the past 42+ years! Time just flies by!
We both look forward to the 50th reunion! Sure hope to see many of you there!

up the angel protected and provided a path. Life is great with my wife (Barbara Wood) of 44

Bobbie wrote, “I went to Waubonsee College for 3 semesters, worked, and went back to
Waubonsee, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I met Gaylon in 1970 after he returned from Viet
Nam and we were married in 1971 and have lived in the Dekalb/Sandwich area since our oldest daughter
began kindergarten. The best thing that has happened to me is that I became a born-again believer. I
prayed at a meeting near our jr. high school, the Red Brick Building. To this day, I have no idea who led it
or whose house it was at, but it changed my life. Jesus Christ is the biggest part of my life. So, if any of you
were a part of that meeting…THANK YOU!
We have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren who live close to us. I was a stay-at-home mom for most
of the time my daughters were growing up. My husband was in the building trades and I did the book
work. Later I worked in an elementary school, in customer service, in a construction office, and in retail. I
am retired but still do the books, busy with the grandchildren, and busy in several groups at church. I
scrapbook, make cards, sew, read, cook. I teach 5 year olds at church, and am part of homeschooling with
one of my daughters.We had a great class and a great school, and I am proud to have been part of the
Class of 1967!”

22. Connie Weidert Moisson, spouse – Rene Moisson.
In 2004, Connie and Rene sold everything they owned in IL, bought a 30 ft. motor home and decided to
go work in the National Parks. She photographed some of the sights for a book she wrote, entitled Beauty
in All I See. She presented a copy of the book to the OHS Class of 1967. The book was on display at the
45th class reunion.
