3. Most Useful Tool I have had experience working with all of the tools except for Twitter. I strongly believe that all of the tools are extremely useful to me, however I’m really excited right now about the benefits of Twitter. I love how I can connect with other educators, stay updated on educational issues, and be able to collaborate and share ideas. Twitter is an extraordinary tool that I believe is revolutionizing educational practice. I am happy to be a part of it!

4. Successes I feel really confident in the tools used in this course. I am most proud of myself using Twitter. I didn’t think it would be beneficial at first because I was limited to think that it was only used to let people know random things about what you were doing. I was completely wrong! Twitter is really changing how educators collaborate and connect. Once I started, I couldn’t stop! I was eager to keep reading ideas, share information, and see what others found useful. I’m excited to be a part of this PLN!

5. Challenges I had a really hard time with Ning. This is the second time I tried to create a Ning and unfortunately I didn’t find it useful to me. The setup was confusing and I found it much more difficult to connect with people. I am happy that I got to create a blog as an alternative to the Ning because I know I will get great use out of that for my parents at school, and it is more user-friendly.

6. Moodle I really enjoy Moodle learning! I like working at my own pace and the setup of the projects makes sense. Rich Kiker does a fantastic job of organizing the readings and tutorials to allow for a very user-friendly learning environment! The videos and articles are fantastic at helping understand how to complete the assignments.

7. Blog My first project was a Wordpress.com blog for my parents at school. I created this as a way to connect with parents and share about what is happening in our classroom. http://struble5th.wordpress.com/
