The PMI MENA Chapter focuses on training and introducing project management as a profession and life skill in the Middle East and North Africa region. It helps local NGOs by introducing the PMIEF and offering a new certificate for non-profit project management. It provides communications, training courses and other activities to support the growth of project management in the region.

One of the main objectives of the MENA
Chapter since its formation is to focus on
training and introducing PM as a profession

of the principals of the PMI in the area of

 PMI MENA Chapter seeks EPMS as an expert
counsel for assistance related to legal, financial
and expert matters deemed appropriate by the
Component Board of Directors.

8. The new certificate for
Non-For-Profit projects (PDM Course)
As a part of the social
responsibility of the PMI
MENA Chapter, the
chapter organized the
first of its kind course in
Egypt about the project
management in the
development sector.
The course provided the attendees with the required
information, knowledge, tools and techniques to
manage any project in the development sector.
It developed based on the " PMD Pro Guide".

9. The course aims to prepare the attendees to pass the PMD Pro Level 1
certification exam.
The course organized from August 27, 2012 till September 10, 2012.
There were 14 attendees from different backgrounds and from different
NGOs with active case studies for attendees.
The chapter offer is course free of charge to promote the project
management in the NGOs and in the development sector

Iftar Ramadan this year was special by being hosted at
the Engineering Association Club by MENA Chapter
financial support and started with a delicious meal,
Ramadan juices, Arabic coffee, ….. etc in attendance of

Renewing MENA Chapter website;
(Web site testing group) to test the
new Web Site, sessions, meetings,

Regarding the new website of the
Chapter, there were 4 sessions to
finalize the training phase of the
admin part from the Website.
Currently we are finalizing the
testing phase and to be followed by
handing over (closing phase).
