11. I. ORIGIN

GOD GRANTED TO MAN DOMINION
OVER ALL THE RESOURCES BUT
HE SINNED AGAINST GOD.
CONSEQUENCE OF SIN:
ALL SHOULD TOIL TO LIVE ; WORK HARD

12. Consequences of Sin: People became
in need because of….
•Disaster/calamity - Gen. 3:16-17, 19
•Became orphans and widows – James 1:27
•Refuse to work – II Thess. 3:10
•Exploited by criminals – Lev. 19:15

13. II. PLIGHT

14. III. THE LAW (Ang Batas)
POOR SHOULD BE PROTECTED

20:13) Provider of the poor
(Ps. 68:10) Saviour of the
poor (Ps. 34:6)
PROTECT THE POOR
• Leviticus 23:22 When
you reap the harvest of
your land, do not reap
to the very edges of
your field…Leave them
for the poor and the
alien”
• Lev. 19:13 All
deliberate withholding
of wages that are due
workers are roundly
condemned because
fairness and justice
demands the proper pay
for honest labor

INSTRUCTIONS –

FOR BLESSEDNESS – THE RICH
SHOULD BE MORE GENEROUS
• Prov. 22:9 The generous will be blessed; He
gives some of his food
• Prov. 22:22-23 Do not rob the poor or crush the
afflicted at the gate (unjust judges); The Lord
Himself will plead their case and take the life of
those who rob him
• Prov. 11:28 He who trust in his riches will fall
but the righteous will flourish like the green
leaf
FOR SUSTENANCE – THE POOR
SHOULD BE INDUSTRIOUS
• Proverbs 13:18 He who ignores discipline
comes to poverty and shame, but whoever
heeds correction is honored
• Proverbs 10:4 Lazy hands make person poor,
but diligent hands bring wealth”

16. Wealth may come because you worked hard, you
inherited it, or somebody generously gave it as a gift,
but it is so
easy for either
the rich or
the poor to
defy God’s law.

17. CONCLUSION
BOTH THE POOR AND THE RICH CAN BE
BLESSED BY GOD AS LONG AS THEY
HAVE INTEGRITY. (Blessing can
mean not only money)
