Writer’s Wednesday: 3 Tips For Blog
Content Creation
Posted on October 30, 2013

Hello there Pumpkin Spice!
Had to get my “Autumn All Things Pumpkin” reference in
Welcome back to Writer’s Wednesday! I’m so glad you’re here!
Today’s post comes from a fabulous question I received recently from our Facebook Syndication Group.
“How do you go about thinking up interesting things to blog about?”
So, my dear friends, I have a few things that I hope will really help get the creative juices flowing…
3 Tips For Blog Content Creation
Theme it Out
If you do not already have a purpose and theme,
that would be my first recommendation.
At Immensely Social I write about a variety of topics,
but all in line with providing the mindset,
inspiration, and resources for online business
success.
Having specific categories on the blog each week
has helped me tremendously, as well. Mindful
Monday, Writer’s Wednesday, and Fanship
Friday.
I may not know the specific topic for that day, but I
know the general category I will be posting about to
keep regular content on the blog.
Record
If you make a habit of recording ideas as soon as
they come to you, you will begin to notice more and
more ideas coming!
Be a Sharer
I tend to have a good bit of wordage, because I love
to write. But, people love pictures and videos too.
As long as you give credit where it’s due, you can
share other people’s content. This is great for traffic,
as well.
Example: the post I did on video marketing. I
shared 4 videos along with my own tips and advice.
I didn’t need to write that much or spend time
making the videos myself. I just shared useful
content that was already there, that I thought my
readers would find helpful. Video Marketing with
WordPress Tips & Tricks
Keep The End Goal in Mind! What action do you
want people to take, what do you want them to
learn, etc.
If you need help writing content faster, check out
this video with Marie Forleo:

Mindful Monday: Vision Boards How To’s
Posted on October 28, 2013
1

Welcome back to Mindful Monday my beautiful peeps!
Vision Boards: The Why and How To
A new week as arrived, whoo hoo!
Today, I want to give you a another resource to help you work towards your goals.
If you are struggling with focus, inspiration, or just lacking belief in yourself and your abilities, read on…
I have learned that visualization is a powerful tool. Used by athletes, celebrities, and entrepreneurs alike, visualization
can literally work to reprogram your brain for success.
One of the best ways to remind yourself to visualize, be consistent, and make your dreams a reality is to use vision
boards.
Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day
become a reality.

Earl Nightingale

There is a variety of ways to go about creating vision boards.
I’m about to share with you my favorite 3 Ways to Create Vision Boards and I encourage you to share your way in the
comments below!
Let’s dive into it…
Old School
You can “Old School It” by using the traditional method of a physical cork-board, poster, piece of cardboard, etc. The
benefit of this method is it’s a hands on experience. If you are a kinesthetic learner (like to work with your hands and
involve yourself in activities) this is a great method for you. Get out the glue and scissors, find pictures in magazines or
on the Internet, and get pasting. Choose pictures that really draw out something in you. Pictures that resonate with you
and make you feel like your dreams rock and are completely possible!
Here is a video you may find helpful in making a physical board:

Pinterest: Online Vision Board
The second method I like to use is Pinterest. I don’t know about you, but I adore Pinterest. We are in an age where
people love to share pictures and images. If you don’t know what Pinterest is you can check it out here: Pinterest
Pinterest is basically an online pin board, multiple pin boards as a matter of fact, where you can pin pictures, recipes,
articles, videos, or whatever you like. You can share your boards with others also and look at their pins. Best of all it’s
free and easy to get started.
Pinterest is fantastic for making a vision board online. With each account, you also have the option of some private
boards that no one else can see. This can be great if you want to create an online vision board, but don’t necessarily
want to share it with the world. I have a private board called “Thoughts Become Things” where I pin pictures of things I
want in my life, whether happy family and friends, specific vacations, or even money abundance.
If you want to share your board, let me know. I would love to see the vision you are creating. You can tag me on
Pinterest @lorihil
Also, check out my public boards, by visiting my Pinterest profile here…

Lori Hil@Immensely Social

Mind Movies
Now last, but likely the most POWERFUL, way to create a vision board is through a program called Mind Movies. Mind
Movies is a program that you use on your computer to make moving vision boards. You can add positive affirmations
and inspiring music that captures the brain’s attention at a deep level. This makes getting your emotions involved way
easier.
Involving emotion is an extremely important thing about visualizing. You must involve the emotions and visualize in a
way that makes you feel your dreams are already a reality. It may be challenging at first, but with practice, it’s
completely doable. It is your feelings that attract the desired result.

Moving Vision Boards
Mind Movies is super easy to use and once your video is made, it just takes a few minutes each day to watch your very
own, personalized movie. For more on Mind Movies click here, put in your email address, and get instant access.
Combine all 3 Methods of Vision Boards for the Ultimate Visualization
I personally and purposefully use all three methods. I have a physical board hanging in my office. I check out my
Pinterest board almost every day and also watch my Mind Movie. It really only takes a few minutes once you get into.
When you imagine something, picturing it in your mind with emotion, the brain does not know the difference from your
outside world. Over time if you are consistent and persistent, I truly believe your brain can be reprogrammed for
success.
Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin
to build. -Robert Collier
If you haven’t already heard John Assarf’s incredible story about vision boards, you can watch it here…

May your dreams come true and expand the world!

Much Love and creativity,

As much as I love all things social media, I’m not always the first to

sake, I have gathered some info for you on this “video thing” called

Writer’s Wednesday: The Dragon King
Author Spotlight
Posted on October 22, 2013
1

Hello You Gorgeous Writer’s You!
If you are wondering what happened to last week’s Writer’s Wednesday post, it’s a long story. You didn’t miss it, it
wasn’t there, my apologies.
I’m making it up to you today with a wonderful Author Spotlight!
Along with posts on writing/blogging tips, I want to start sharing authors, their stories, and their books with you, as well.
I have a fantastic one for you right out of the gate with…
The Dragon King by Vivian Slade
Based on a boy named Ethan, whom Vivian met in a hospital burn unit, The Dragon King is a story of adventure and
triumph.
Charmingly illustrated by the author’s 15-year-old
daughter Johanna, The Dragon King transports us to a
world of knights and yes, dragons.
This is not your average fairy tale, however….
What I adore about The Dragon King is that, though
about a prince burdened with too quickly becoming a
king, it is a story that both adults and children can relate
to. A coming of age story. A story about facing fears and
the unknown.
For what makes a just and honorable leader?
“Faith, courage, and wisdom.”
Something instilled in this book, that we have talked
about a great deal here on the blog, is visualizing your
victory even before it occurs with the faith that it is so!
What a Powerful lesson!
Overcoming the voices in our heads that tell us we can’t and listening instead to those of mentors that have taught us
along the way, the ones who have gone before with wisdom and experience.
Like these wise words from the young king’s mother,
“Ethan, never forget that courage is not the absence of fear, but doing what you know to be right in
spite of it. Face your fear and it will lose its power over you.”
The Dragon King, is not just a book, but has accompanying music for extra inspiration and an engaging experience
that captivates children’s attention, involving them deeper into the principles the book teaches. The book is also
repeated in Spanish at the end, reaching out to a wider audience.
In addition, a companion Values Education curriculum, is also available for grades K-6. To learn more about this
beautifully influential curriculum, please visit TheDragonKing.com
I highly encourage you to head on over to Amazon to learn more about the author, Vivian Slade, and the
story of the real “Ethan.”
So, I want to leave you with these, soul searching, questions from the book,
“How would I behave if I wasn’t afraid?”
“What would I attempt to do?”
“How bold would I be- how fast, how strong, how clever?”
Think on that and remember,
“No task lies before you so dreadful that you shall not master it.”

Mindful Monday: Mind Storming and A
Business Secret!
Posted on October 21, 2013
1

“The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his
attitude.” ~William James
Our attitude, mindset, what we focus on makes all the difference in the world!
Welcome back to Mindful Monday!
Today’s topic is a little technique called: Mind Storming
Brian Tracy says that “Success is Predictable.” We have talked before about following a model or “recipe” if you will.
Successful people learn from others.
Mind Storming is a technique I recently learned from Mr. Tracy.
Here’s how it goes…
Set aside some time, take a piece of paper and write an open ended question at the top of something you wish
to achieve. It’s important to make sure it is “open ended” as you will be tapping into the resources of your
subconscious mind to come up with a myriad of answers!
Example: “How can I earn $100,000 in the next 12 months?”
Then write, at least, 20 answers to that question, all the things that you can think of, all the actions you could
take to earn that $100,000 over the next 12 months.
That’s it! Simple, 2-step process, question-answers. This, however simple, is powerful because it focuses your mind on
all the possibilities. You may just come up with something obvious that you haven’t really thought about, but could
make all the difference.
Try It!
For more details on this technique and other great tips, check out this interview with Brian Tracy and Vic Johnson:
As you do this, you are manipulating your brain, so to speak. You are digging into the answers that are there waiting for
you to discover.
Be the Change you want to see in the world.
You can do that, be the change, by getting started towards your goals, working on your mindset, and taking ownership
of your own life.
Mind Storming, that’s one business secret and for a bonus, in the next video, I talk about another…
The Mirror Exercise
For the full post and video with Jack, click here: Jack Canfield, Activate The Law of Attraction
If you haven’t already, you are going to want to check out Friday’s post on Marketing Innovation. There I talk about
another fabulous, brainstorming technique called “Mind Mapping.” It is a bit different from Mind Storming and a
fabulous way to get those creative and innovative juices flowing!
You can still get your 7 day FREE trial of the iMindMap Software here! Why? Because I love you, of course

I hope you will think about implementing at least one of these techniques into your life and business NOW! There is a
major life concept that goes like this,
If you don’t change something, nothing will change!
We have repeatedly heard that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different
results. If you want your life to change, you have to go out there and change it! It starts first with your mindset!
I love getting your questions here on the blog and in our Facebook syndication group, so keep them coming.
Answering your questions, provides deeper clarification for me, so thank you!
As always, if you found this post and this site helpful, please “like & share!“
Wishing you a prosperous, successful week of following your dreams! XOXO Hil <3

Fanship Friday: Marketing Innovation
Posted on October 18, 2013
1

Fanship Friday! Top O’ the Mornin’ to Ya! (Watch it, the Irish is coming out!)
I Love a Good Dose of Innovation and Creativity!
So, I was perusing the internet while listening to an audio this week and came across a picture that caught my eye. It
wasn’t a cool filter or creative composition that grabbed my attention, rather a creative business concept!
A pink truck to be more specific…
The pink is not what struck me either, though some great marketing there as it depicts the business, no it was the idea
its self.
(The picture and article are via Loren’s World, so definitely check out the link here for
more: http://www.lorensworld.com/life-work/fashion-trucks-mobile-boutiques-popping-up-everywhere/)
I was intrigued, because I love to see people who take a passion and implement it into business in an innovative and
creative way.
We have hot dog and ice cream trucks, even dog grooming trucks, so why not a fashion boutique!
Le Fashion Truck’s creators, Stacey Steffe and Jeanine Romo, met at an arts and crafts market back in 2009. A
friendship was built and passions combined into the pink truck you can now see parked around Los Angeles. Yes, it
even has a dressing room!
This brought me to a topic that, upon my remembrance, we haven’t discussed thoroughly enough for Fanship Friday.
And that’s,
Innovation!
I remember, back in the day, being in a middle school drama group performing my classic “mime in a box” routine. My
director also had this awesome old, hollowed out TV set that we would climb inside and pretend we were on TV or “in
the box.” While that was fun and all, “in the box” is the last place I want to be with my business!
Get out of the BOX!
We have talked about rules and concepts for branding and social media. We have even talked about following a trusted
model from someone who is already successful, so you’re not trying to “reinvent the wheel.” I truly believe in the power
of having a model, plan, and guidelines to follow. Let’s face it, without proven concepts, it is all just too overwhelming.
Here’s the kicker…
When you having a proven base to build from, it frees you to open up that box and put your own spin on things.
Following a proven model, does not mean you can’t take those skills and apply some innovation and creativity! In fact, I
would say it is completely necessary if you want to create a business and life you love!
As the Dalai Lama said,
“Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively.”
So, can we train ourselves to more creative and innovative?
Yes, yes we can!
Tony Buzan, a leading educational consultant and creator of the “mind mapping” technique, has some fantastic advice
for us…
Think you’re not creative? Wrong! Everyone is creative!
It’s about integration of the left and right brain hemispheres
Practice Speed and Fluency
Originality, that thinking “outside the box”
Flexibility of thought, there is more than one way to get there
Imagination and association, creating links between different ideas
I enjoy mind mapping and have used the concept for everything from business ideas, like revamping this site, to
personal development and what I’m seeking in life.
To engage fans in this fast paced, digital age, it’s time to get innovative!
So why not give mind mapping a go and watch as the ideas flow freely from that brain of yours like the Niagara Falls
If you have enjoyed this post and found it helpful, don’t forget to “like & share!”
Go out there and get Innovative! The world needs all that uniqueness only you can bring!

Sending love and creativity your way,

Mindful Monday: “Master Mind” Power!
Posted on October 14, 2013
1

Welcome to a New Week My “Personal Development” Gurus!
The Master Mind
As a new week begins, I want to share with you some inspiration and FREE Resources to get you pumped about
about your day, your week, your life!
Why? Because, I’m just awesome like that
Napoleon Hill, in his landmark bestseller, Think and Grow Rich, had this to say about the “Master Mind”….
The “Master Mind” may be defined as: “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of
harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”
Participating in a Master Mind is about gaining energy, power, and inspiration, from the effort of the group!
Hill goes so far as to say,
GREAT POWER CAN BE ACCUMULATED THROUGH NO OTHER PRINCIPLE!
When you work with other “like minded” folks, towards a definite purpose, whether success, wealth, or expansion, you
place yourself in an alliance of power and intelligence.
Fabulous, Right!!!
So, why am I telling you this?
I recently started getting back on calls with my “Master Mind” group and I want to share it with you!
I’m inviting you to join us on the calls and it is absolutely FREE! It is a fabulous way to start the day with a positive
mindset.
The calls happen at 8am for me here in South America, but 9am EST.
The calls are non-specific to a certain company, allowing all of us to participate. We read and re-read through books
together by authors such as Napoleon Hill and Wallace Wattles, then listen is as we all Master Mind together.
If time is an issue, put on your speaker and listen as you get ready for the day. You can also catch the replay at anytime
before the next recording.
I wanted to share this with you, because it is such a fantastic resource to join in with positive people who are
excited about their lives and experiencing success!
Give it a try, here’s how…

Get on the calls and watch your success, confidence, and faith soar!
Since it is Monday and you could probably use all the inspiration you can get, I have one more thing I want to share.
Well, make that two. Here are short videos that I enjoy watching in the morning when I wake up. They put things in
perspective and give me calmness and peace for the day.
You can check them out below and if you enjoy them, consider implementing them into your daily routine…
Please “like & share” this post, this site, and all the fabulous resources!
Wake up and say with me:
“I bring a powerful and loving presence to every space I enter today!!!”
Rock out this Monday and everyday hereafter!

Friday Fanship: One of My Favorite
Resources for Fun, Business, and Social
Engagement!
Posted on October 11, 2013
1

Welcome back to Fanship Friday, Cha Ching!!!
I say “Cha Ching” because what I’m sharing with you today could save you a ton of money and even make you money
if you wish!
So, are ya ready? (Jeopardy music inserted here…)
Ok, ok, so one of my most favorite resources for my online business ever, is Fiverr.com
So, Why do I love Fiverr so much and why am I including it in Fanship Friday?
First it’s cheap with gigs starting at, you guessed it, $5
Second there is a huge variety of gigs that can help you expand your business and engage fans. You can order
videos made to your specifications, have someone share your links over high volume social media sites, or post
an affiliate banner for you.
People will even sing you a song or hold your sign by a landmark if that’s what suites your fancy.
Third, Fiverr just rocks. In the morning, they ask me if I’ve had my coffee. In the evening, it’s all about my dinner.
Call me crazy, but I like a website that has concern for my nourishment.
Looking for work? You can create your own gigs to share too!
I don’t know anywhere else you can get such awesomeness for 5 bucks, do you?
From the fun and bizarre, to advertising, writing, and social media, give it a go! With a simple sign up, you’re on your
way to hiring some great folks to help you out.
Let’s face it, when you are just starting out online or with any type of business, you likely don’t have massive amounts
of funding.
I have used a variety of gigs from help with videos and my ebook
promotion to having some annoying php problems fixed on my site.
If you don’t have the money to hire a personal assistant, social media
manager, or computer programmer, Fiverr is a fabulous option.
I, personally, have found the quality of work to be pretty remarkable
for the price.
Check it out already! I’m sure you’ll find it as fantastical as I have. And, if they ask if you’ve had your coffee, don’t tell
me. I want to feel special
I hope you’ve found this post helpful. If so, please “like & share” so others can benefit, as well!
Fiverr.com, has been an invaluable resource for starting and expanding my business!
As always I send you much love!
Got a “Fanship Friday” post topic for me? Message me!
Enjoy your Weekend! XOXO Hil <3

Writer’s Wednesday: Are You a CopyCat?
Embracing Your Authentic Voice
Posted on October 9, 2013
1

Having trouble finding your voice?
I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times
since then.

~Alice via Lewis Carroll

Are you, like Alice, not sure who you are at various stages of life? Are you struggling, as a writer, to find your own
voice?
Here’s the thing…
Many of the most successful people, take what they learn from those that have gone before
and implement it into their own businesses. Nothing wrong with that! Why reinvent the wheel
and waste valuable time, when you don’t have to?
When it comes to writing, it’s great to have other writers you admire. You don’t want, however, to hide your own voice
and talent by emulating them exactly. You can learn from their techniques and successes, but you want to be sure to
add your own unique flare to your work!
Remember…
No one can be you! You have a unique set of thoughts, feelings, and experiences to share with the world!
Why is finding your voice important?
Finding your voice is the key to getting dedicated followers and fans and that it’s the only
sustainable way to write. If you’re not being yourself, you’ll eventually burn out.

~Jeff Goins

Marie @MarieForleo.com has some tips and techniques to help us all find our voices and brand our businesses:

4 Strategies to Find Your Voice
1. Challenge yourself to express one idea at least 5 different ways
2. Draw on your own experience not your research
3. When you write your own content, don’t look at other people’s stuff
4. Give yourself the “BFF” reality check
Hope those tips help you on your path to writing authenticity.
The “BFF” check is my favorite. I know if I’m writing in that best friend, older sister fashion, I’m on the right track. Loving
straight talk with some occasional humor and soul.
Be sure to visit http://www.marieforleo.com for more fab, business advice!
Also check out this great article on Jeff Goins’ blog 10 Steps to Finding Your Writing Voice
Jeff also has a fantastic little book I read awhile back called “You Are a Writer ( So Start Acting Like One).”
Claim it right NOW because,
The world needs this more than you know. We are waiting for your words. Longing to be changed.
Will you share your art? Will you believe you are a writer and start writing? ~Jeff Goins
It doesn’t have to be complicated,
Through simplicity, you can have the freedom to come from a place of true passion. This is a kind of
passion that lights a fire within and sets others ablaze.

Mindful Monday: Life, Love, and Movement
Posted on October 7, 2013

Good Morning Gorgeous Souls!
Welcome Back to Mindful Monday the Life of a New Week!
Last week’s “mindful” post was a bit intense. Lots to watch, read, take in, and implement. If you missed it, feel free to
check it out here: Jack Canfield- Activate The Law of Attraction
This week, I’ll keep it a bit lighter with a reminder to Live, Love, Breathe, and Move!
In the words of Kahlil Gibran,
Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your
hair.
I don’t want us to get so engulfed by our personal and professional development journeys, that we forget to experience
life. So today, I want to share with you some of my favorite pictures from Ecuador with quotes, each representing a life
lesson I have learned.
Sit back, breathe deep, and enjoy…
Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact. ~William James
As I walk down the corridor, outside the Cathedral, and witness the selling of candles and beads for mass, I am
reminded of how important faith is. I’m reminded of how important it is to believe in something, in many things in fact. I
am reminded of the book “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” where Joseph Murphy asks,
Why is one man sad and another man happy? Why is one man joyous and prosperous and another
man poor and miserable? Why is one man fearful and anxious and another full of faith and
confidence?
Mr. Murphy teaches us that it is the power of our beliefs that makes the difference, going so far as to say,
The law of life is the law of belief, and belief could
be summed up briefly as a thought in your mind.
As a man thinks, feels, and believes, so is the
condition of his mind, body, and circumstances.

Keep on, keeping on until the day breaks and the
shadows flee away.

Next, with this picture of an adorable child sleeping in the
middle of a busy market, I’m reminded to maintain inner peace even amidst outer chaos…
Nothing external to you has any power over you. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
This peaceful moment of a solitary tree in the Cajas, is a reminder to take time away to refresh and reconnect.

I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude. ~Henry David Thoreau
These incredible hats, tell me to add a bit of color and spunk to life!
Don’t be afraid to be yourself, be a bit more daring, and
well, colorful!
If you’re quiet, you’re not living. You’ve got to be
noisy and colorful and lively. ~Mel Brooks

The mimes? Keep that childlike sense of wonder as you
express yourself to the world!
In every real man a child is hidden that wants to play. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
Love the Music That is Your Life!
If music be the food of love, play on. ~William Shakespeare

Move, Live, Be, and radiate that joy from within. As you are filled, so shall you fill others!
Beginning with the early dawn each day, I will radiate joy to everyone I meet. I will be mental

  • 1. Immensely Social Resources for Writers, Bloggers, Social Media Enthusiasts, and Lovers of Life, Art, & Fun Writer’s Wednesday: 3 Tips For Blog Content Creation Posted on October 30, 2013 0 Hello there Pumpkin Spice! Had to get my “Autumn All Things Pumpkin” reference in Welcome back to Writer’s Wednesday! I’m so glad you’re here! Today’s post comes from a fabulous question I received recently from our Facebook Syndication Group. “How do you go about thinking up interesting things to blog about?” So, my dear friends, I have a few things that I hope will really help get the creative juices flowing… 3 Tips For Blog Content Creation
  • 2. Theme it Out If you do not already have a purpose and theme, that would be my first recommendation. At Immensely Social I write about a variety of topics, but all in line with providing the mindset, inspiration, and resources for online business success. Having specific categories on the blog each week has helped me tremendously, as well. Mindful Monday, Writer’s Wednesday, and Fanship Friday. I may not know the specific topic for that day, but I know the general category I will be posting about to keep regular content on the blog. Record If you make a habit of recording ideas as soon as they come to you, you will begin to notice more and more ideas coming!
  • 3. Be a Sharer I tend to have a good bit of wordage, because I love to write. But, people love pictures and videos too. As long as you give credit where it’s due, you can share other people’s content. This is great for traffic, as well. Example: the post I did on video marketing. I shared 4 videos along with my own tips and advice. I didn’t need to write that much or spend time making the videos myself. I just shared useful content that was already there, that I thought my readers would find helpful. Video Marketing with WordPress Tips & Tricks Keep The End Goal in Mind! What action do you want people to take, what do you want them to learn, etc. If you need help writing content faster, check out this video with Marie Forleo:
  • 4. Did you find this post helpful & informative? “Like & Share” it so others can benefit too! Also, check out The Desperation of Writing Stuff Much Love, Hil XOXO You might like: Google Glasses: Social Media Intrigue Tuesday EBook How-Tos: My Resources for Cover and Formatting Yu-mi’s Rest Play Cycle Mindful Monday: Vision Boards How To’s Recommended by Posted in Writer's Wednesdays | Tagged blog theme, bloggers, Blogging, content creation, tips & tricks, video, writers, writing | Leave a reply Mindful Monday: Vision Boards How To’s Posted on October 28, 2013 1 Welcome back to Mindful Monday my beautiful peeps! Vision Boards: The Why and How To A new week as arrived, whoo hoo! Today, I want to give you a another resource to help you work towards your goals. If you are struggling with focus, inspiration, or just lacking belief in yourself and your abilities, read on… I have learned that visualization is a powerful tool. Used by athletes, celebrities, and entrepreneurs alike, visualization can literally work to reprogram your brain for success. One of the best ways to remind yourself to visualize, be consistent, and make your dreams a reality is to use vision boards.
  • 5. Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality. Earl Nightingale There is a variety of ways to go about creating vision boards. I’m about to share with you my favorite 3 Ways to Create Vision Boards and I encourage you to share your way in the comments below! Let’s dive into it… Old School You can “Old School It” by using the traditional method of a physical cork-board, poster, piece of cardboard, etc. The benefit of this method is it’s a hands on experience. If you are a kinesthetic learner (like to work with your hands and involve yourself in activities) this is a great method for you. Get out the glue and scissors, find pictures in magazines or on the Internet, and get pasting. Choose pictures that really draw out something in you. Pictures that resonate with you and make you feel like your dreams rock and are completely possible! Here is a video you may find helpful in making a physical board: Pinterest: Online Vision Board The second method I like to use is Pinterest. I don’t know about you, but I adore Pinterest. We are in an age where people love to share pictures and images. If you don’t know what Pinterest is you can check it out here: Pinterest
  • 6. Pinterest is basically an online pin board, multiple pin boards as a matter of fact, where you can pin pictures, recipes, articles, videos, or whatever you like. You can share your boards with others also and look at their pins. Best of all it’s free and easy to get started. Pinterest is fantastic for making a vision board online. With each account, you also have the option of some private boards that no one else can see. This can be great if you want to create an online vision board, but don’t necessarily want to share it with the world. I have a private board called “Thoughts Become Things” where I pin pictures of things I want in my life, whether happy family and friends, specific vacations, or even money abundance. If you want to share your board, let me know. I would love to see the vision you are creating. Mind Movies is a program that you use on your computer to make moving vision boards. You can add positive affirmations and inspiring music that captures the brain’s attention at a deep level. This makes getting your emotions involved way easier. Involving emotion is an extremely important thing about visualizing. You must involve the emotions and visualize in a way that makes you feel your dreams are already a reality. It may be challenging at first, but with practice, it’s completely doable. It is your feelings that attract the desired result. Moving Vision Boards Mind Movies is super easy to use and once your video is made, it just takes a few minutes each day to watch your very own, personalized movie. Combine all 3 Methods of Vision Boards for the Ultimate Visualization I personally and purposefully use all three methods. I have a physical board hanging in my office. That being said, I do like to give you the option to pick the social media platforms that best suite you and your business. • 11. Posted on October 22, 2013 1 Hello You Gorgeous Writer’s You! If you are wondering what happened to last week’s Writer’s Wednesday post, it’s a long story. You didn’t miss it, it wasn’t there, my apologies. I’m making it up to you today with a wonderful Author Spotlight! Along with posts on writing/blogging tips, I want to start sharing authors, their stories, and their books with you, as well. I have a fantastic one for you right out of the gate with… The Dragon King by Vivian Slade Based on a boy named Ethan, whom Vivian met in a hospital burn unit, The Dragon King is a story of adventure and triumph. Charmingly illustrated by the author’s 15-year-old daughter Johanna, The Dragon King transports us to a world of knights and yes, dragons. This is not your average fairy tale, however…. What I adore about The Dragon King is that, though about a prince burdened with too quickly becoming a king, it is a story that both adults and children can relate to. A coming of age story. A story about facing fears and the unknown. For what makes a just and honorable leader? “Faith, courage, and wisdom.” Something instilled in this book, that we have talked about a great deal here on the blog, is visualizing your victory even before it occurs with the faith that it is so! What a Powerful lesson! Overcoming the voices in our heads that tell us we can’t and listening instead to those of mentors that have taught us along the way, the ones who have gone before with wisdom and experience.
  • 12. Like these wise words from the young king’s mother, “Ethan, never forget that courage is not the absence of fear, but doing what you know to be right in spite of it. Face your fear and it will lose its power over you.” The Dragon King, is not just a book, but has accompanying music for extra inspiration and an engaging experience that captivates children’s attention, involving them deeper into the principles the book teaches. The book is also repeated in Spanish at the end, reaching out to a wider audience. In addition, a companion Values Education curriculum, is also available for grades K-6. To learn more about this beautifully influential curriculum, please visit TheDragonKing.com I highly encourage you to head on over to Amazon to learn more about the author, Vivian Slade, and the story of the real “Ethan.” So, I want to leave you with these, soul searching, questions from the book, “How would I behave if I wasn’t afraid?” “What would I attempt to do?” “How bold would I be- how fast, how strong, how clever?” Think on that and remember, “No task lies before you so dreadful that you shall not master it.” For The Dragon King ebook, with the story in both English and Spanish: Click Here~ The Dragon King To enhance this empowering story with some musical engagement: King MP3 Download Catch Vivian and Johanna’s vision… Click Here~ The Dragon

Posted on October 21, 2013
  • 14. 1 “The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.” ~William James Our attitude, mindset, what we focus on makes all the difference in the world! Welcome back to Mindful Monday! Today’s topic is a little technique called: Mind Storming Brian Tracy says that “Success is Predictable.” We have talked before about following a model or “recipe” if you will. Successful people learn from others. Mind Storming is a technique I recently learned from Mr. Tracy. Here’s how it goes… Set aside some time, take a piece of paper and write an open ended question at the top of something you wish to achieve. It’s important to make sure it is “open ended” as you will be tapping into the resources of your subconscious mind to come up with a myriad of answers! Example: “How can I earn $100,000 in the next 12 months?” Then write, at least, 20 answers to that question, all the things that you can think of, all the actions you could take to earn that $100,000 over the next 12 months. That’s it! Simple, 2-step process, question-answers. This, however simple, is powerful because it focuses your mind on all the possibilities. You may just come up with something obvious that you haven’t really thought about, but could make all the difference. Try It! For more details on this technique and other great tips, check out this interview with Brian Tracy and Vic Johnson:
  • 15. As you do this, you are manipulating your brain, so to speak. You are digging into the answers that are there waiting for you to discover. Be the Change you want to see in the world. You can do that, be the change, by getting started towards your goals, working on your mindset, and taking ownership of your own life. Mind Storming, that’s one business secret and for a bonus, in the next video, I talk about another… The Mirror Exercise

Top O’ the Mornin’ to Ya! (Watch it, the Irish is coming out!) I Love a Good Dose of Innovation and Creativity! So, I was perusing the internet while listening to an audio this week and came across a picture that caught my eye. It wasn’t a cool filter or creative composition that grabbed my attention, rather a creative business concept! A pink truck to be more specific…
  • 18. The pink is not what struck me either, though some great marketing there as it depicts the business, no it was the idea its self. (The picture and article are via Loren’s World, so definitely check out the link here for more: http://www.lorensworld.com/life-work/fashion-trucks-mobile-boutiques-popping-up-everywhere/) I was intrigued, because I love to see people who take a passion and implement it into business in an innovative and creative way. We have hot dog and ice cream trucks, even dog grooming trucks, so why not a fashion boutique! Le Fashion Truck’s creators, Stacey Steffe and Jeanine Romo, met at an arts and crafts market back in 2009. A friendship was built and passions combined into the pink truck you can now see parked around Los Angeles. Yes, it even has a dressing room! This brought me to a topic that, upon my remembrance, we haven’t discussed thoroughly enough for Fanship Friday. And that’s, Innovation! I remember, back in the day, being in a middle school drama group performing my classic “mime in a box” routine. My
  • 19. director also had this awesome old, hollowed out TV set that we would climb inside and pretend we were on TV or “in the box.” While that was fun and all, “in the box” is the last place I want to be with my business! Get out of the BOX! We have talked about rules and concepts for branding and social media. We have even talked about following a trusted model from someone who is already successful, so you’re not trying to “reinvent the wheel.” I truly believe in the power of having a model, plan, and guidelines to follow. Let’s face it, without proven concepts, it is all just too overwhelming. Here’s the kicker… When you having a proven base to build from, it frees you to open up that box and put your own spin on things. Following a proven model, does not mean you can’t take those skills and apply some innovation and creativity! In fact, I would say it is completely necessary if you want to create a business and life you love! As the Dalai Lama said, “Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively.” So, can we train ourselves to more creative and innovative? Yes, yes we can! Tony Buzan, a leading educational consultant and creator of the “mind mapping” technique, has some fantastic advice for us…
  • 20. Think you’re not creative? Wrong! Everyone is creative! It’s about integration of the left and right brain hemispheres Practice Speed and Fluency Originality, that thinking “outside the box” Flexibility of thought, there is more than one way to get there Imagination and association, creating links between different ideas I enjoy mind mapping and have used the concept for everything from business ideas, like revamping this site, to personal development and what I’m seeking in life. To engage fans in this fast paced, digital age, it’s time to get innovative! Posted on October 14, 2013
  • 22. 1 Welcome to a New Week My “Personal Development” Gurus! The Master Mind As a new week begins, I want to share with you some inspiration and FREE Resources to get you pumped about about your day, your week, your life! Why? Because, I’m just awesome like that Napoleon Hill, in his landmark bestseller, Think and Grow Rich, had this to say about the “Master Mind”…. The “Master Mind” may be defined as: “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.” Participating in a Master Mind is about gaining energy, power, and inspiration, from the effort of the group! Hill goes so far as to say, GREAT POWER CAN BE ACCUMULATED THROUGH NO OTHER PRINCIPLE! When you work with other “like minded” folks, towards a definite purpose, whether success, wealth, or expansion, you place yourself in an alliance of power and intelligence. Fabulous, Right!!! So, why am I telling you this? I recently started getting back on calls with my “Master Mind” group and I want to share it with you! I’m inviting you to join us on the calls and it is absolutely FREE! It is a fabulous way to start the day with a positive mindset. The calls happen at 8am for me here in South America, but 9am EST. The calls are non-specific to a certain company, allowing all of us to participate. We read and re-read through books together by authors such as Napoleon Hill and Wallace Wattles, then listen is as we all Master Mind together. If time is an issue, put on your speaker and listen as you get ready for the day. You can also catch the replay at anytime before the next recording. I wanted to share this with you, because it is such a fantastic resource to join in with positive people who are
  • 23. excited about their lives and experiencing success! Give it a try, here’s how… Get on the calls and watch your success, confidence, and faith soar! Welcome Back to Mindful Monday the Life of a New Week! Last week’s “mindful” post was a bit intense. Lots to watch, read, take in, and implement. If you missed it, feel free to check it out here: Jack Canfield- Activate The Law of Attraction This week, I’ll keep it a bit lighter with a reminder to Live, Love, Breathe, and Move! Sit back, breathe deep, and enjoy… Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact. ~William James As I walk down the corridor, outside the Cathedral, and witness the selling of candles and beads for mass, I am reminded of how important faith is. I’m reminded of how important it is to believe in something, in many things in fact. I am reminded of the book “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” where Joseph Murphy asks, Why is one man sad and another man happy? Why is one man joyous and prosperous and another man poor and miserable? Why is one man fearful and anxious and another full of faith and confidence? Mr. Murphy teaches us that it is the power of our beliefs that makes the difference, going so far as to say,

As a man thinks, feels, and believes, so is the condition of his mind, body, and circumstances. Keep on, keeping on until the day breaks and the shadows flee away. Next, with this picture of an adorable child sleeping in the middle of a busy market, I’m reminded to maintain inner peace even amidst outer chaos… Nothing external to you has any power over you. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
