The Oculus Rift
is a new virtual
reality headset
that lets players
step inside their
favorite games
and virtual
words
developed on
28 march 2016
at 10 am.
 The Rift has an OLED display, 1080×1200 resolution per eye, a
90 Hz refresh rate, and 110° field of view. It has integrated
headphones which provide a 3D audio effect, rotational and
positional tracking.
 The positional tracking system, called "Constellation", is
performed by a USB stationary infrared sensor that is picking
up light that is emitted by IR LEDs that are integrated into the
hmd.
 The sensor normally sits on the user's desk.This creates 3D
space, allowing for the user to use the Rift while sitting,
standing, or walking around the same room.

The Oculus Rift creates a
stereoscopic 3D view with
excellent depth, scale,
and parallax. Unlike 3D on
a television or in a movie,
this is achieved by
presenting unique and
parallel images for each
eye.This is the same way
your eyes perceive
images in the real world,
creating a much more
natural and comfortable
experience.
UltraWide
Field of
View
The Oculus Rift provides an
approximately 110° field of
view, stretching the virtual
world beyond your
peripheral vision.Your view
of the game is no longer
boxed in on a screen and is
only limited by what your
eyes can see.The
combination of the wide
field of view with head-

3D creates an immersive
virtual reality experience.

THE REQUIREMENTSOF

Video Output Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output.
CPU : INTEL i5-4590 equivalent or greater.
RAM : 8GB + RAM
OS : Supports windows 8 or higher.
VEDIOCARD : NVIDIA GTX 970/AMD 290 equivalent or greater.
OCULUS HOME
Oculus Home's store is curated to only allow applications that
run smoothly on the recommended hardware, and
experiences are given ratings for their comfort .
OCULUS DRIVERS
The user must have this Oculus PC runtime and the drivers
installed in order to use the Rift.The runtime service
facilitates lens optical distortion, and the advanced rendering
and driver techniques to deliver a high qualityVR experience.
 MOTIVE OF OCULUS RIFT:
The main motive ofVR oculus rift is to claim
advancement in gaming and non-gaming areas.
GAMING:
In July 2015, Oculus revealed that it was fully funding
more than 20 second party high production value
games made exclusively for the Rift, one of these
being Insomniac's Edge of Nowhere.
 NON-GAMING:
MEDIA:
Oculus is including Oculus Cinema as a free
application, which allows the Rift to be
used to view conventional movies and
videos from inside a virtual cinema
environment, giving the user the
perception of viewing the content on a
cinema sized screen.

VIRTUAL MACHINE
 Virtual Reality is a computer generated,
multi-sensory information program which
tracks a user in real time.
A head-mounted display is a device, worn
on the head that has a small display optic
in front of one eye (monocular HMD) or
each eye (binocular HMD) to reproduce a
stereoscopic vision.
USES :
Many areas of design are
typically 3D for example, the
design of a car shape, where
the designer looks for
sweeping curves and good
aesthetics from every
possible view.
The most common example
is the flight simulator .They
have lower operating costs
and are safer to use than real
aircraft.They also allow the
simulation of dangerous
scenarios not allowable with
real aircraft.
