 You must be thinking that why the topic of
the presentation is written in BOLD RED
color & the background is also so
BLACK……...
 This topic is related to the women & the
condition in which they are prevailing these
days is only seen in BOLD RED color &
you know what I mean by that -> I mean
the blood which is evolving from their body
by the harsh treatment by some of the
categories of people.
 The BLACK color seen in the background
shows that this problem creates the DAWN
environment in the country.

 You might have been reading daily in the
newspapers or the magazines about the
harassment over women. Many of us feel sad
that time but nobody wants to by-heart this kind
of news because the people, today, started
ignoring these type of heavy news, which they
think is light.
It is NOT GOOD, REALLY NOT GOOD……
 The above image shows the brutal behaviour of a
man towards a woman. This condition is generally
seen within different relationships, including wife
abuse, wife assault, wife battering, spouse abuse
& parental abuse.
These brutalness consists of beating, choking,
slapping, burning, etc. Generally we have seen that
this behaviour is applied after the marriage by the
husband’s family just because of DOWRY.
 If the girl’s family can’t bear the amount of dowry to
be given to them, then, mostly, this kind of behaviour
got to be seen.
 This image is about the Emotional or Psychological
abuse.
 It include constant yelling, screaming, name calling,
insults, threats, humiliation or criticism, excessive
jealousy or suspiciousness, threatening or harassing
a woman (or her children, family members, friends or
pets), isolating a woman from neighbours, friends or
family, or depriving a woman of love and affection.
 For some women, the effects of emotional abuse
may be worse than the consequences of physical
violence.
 It may lead to depression state of a woman or
any other person, may the women get
psychologically damaged i.e. brain problems can
occur.
 Sexual abuse includes the unwanted sexual
touching, sexual harassment, sexual
exploitment, etc. These all names are same for
the one thing, SEXUAL ABUSE.
 After this a woman can’t live her life freely
because always there will be fear of the people’s
gossip about her in her mind.
 A woman’s confidence & pride is lost after any
incident she had beared.
 Above is given the Economical abusement of
women. Economical abuse is related to financial
problems which are seen by

 It include preventing a woman from working,
controlling her occupational choices, preventing
her from achieving or maintaining financial
independence, denying or controlling her access
to financial resources, or exploiting her
financially.
 Everything must be equal between two
productions of nature – Men & Women.
RECAP
• The problem in the previous paragraphs

combinedly forms the Gender Discrimination.
• It is that kind of virus which only affects women.
Main effects is on women but side effects are on the
whole world as the world can’t be developed until &
unless each & every person is not free to his/her
dreams, free to think, free to speak, free to stand for
good & against the devil.
 Women Empowerment, basically, is the creation
of an environment where women can make
independent decisions on their personal
development as well as shine as equals in
society.
 It is that opportunity for the women where she
can feel free & can become fearless of any
discrimination. Women want to be treated as
equals so much so that if a woman rises to the
top of her field it should be a commonplace
occurrence that draws nothing more than a
raised eyebrow at the gender……..
 There are a lot of challenges for women to be
empowered in a region. These challenges are
currently plaguing the issues of women rights.

 The principle of gender equality is enshrined in
the Indian Constitution in its Preamble,
Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties &
Directive Principles.
 The Constitution not only grants equality to
women, but also the state to adopt measures in
positive favour of women.
EDUCATION
• The above image shows the census of year 2011 in
terms of education level. There a much difference
between the level of men & women in India.
• While the country has grown from leaps and bounds
since its independence where education is
concerned, the gap between women and men is
severe. While 82.14% of adult men are
educated, only 65.46% of adult women are known to
be literate in India. Not only is an illiterate women at
the mercy of her husband or father, she also does
not know that this is not the way of life for women
across the world
• . Additionally, the norms of culture that state that
the man of the family is the be-all and end-all of
family decisions is slowly spoiling the society of
the country.
HEALTH & SAFETY
• The health and safety concerns of women are
paramount for the wellbeing of a country, and is an
important factor in gauging the empowerment of
women in a country. However there are alarming
concerns where maternal healthcare is concerned.

• In its 2009 report, UNICEF came up with shocking
figures on the status of new mothers in India. The
maternal mortality report of India stands at 301 per
1000, with as many as 78,000 women in India dying
of childbirth complications in that year.
• Today, due to the burgeoning population of the
country, that number is sure to have multiplied
considerably. The main causes of maternal
mortality are:Haemorrhage: 30%
Anaemia: 19%
Sepsis: 16%
Obstructed Labour: 10%
Abortion: 8%
Toxaemia: 8%
General Measures taken
to solve the Ignorance
towards Empowerment
MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT
GOALS
• The United Nations Development Programme
constituted eight Millennium Development
Goals (MDG) for ensuring equity and peace
across the world. The third MDG is directly
related to the empowerment of women in India.
The MDGs are agreed-upon goals to reduce
certain indicators of disparity across the world
by the year 2015.
NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR
WOMEN
• The National Commission for Women is a
Department within the Ministry of Women and
Child Development. It was set up exclusively to
help women via the Constitution – by reviewing
Legal and Constitutional safeguards for women,
recommending remedial legislative measures,
by facilitating quick redressal of grievances and
by advising the Government of India on all
policy matters affecting women.
SWAYAMSIDHA
PROGRAMME
• Additionally, the Ministry is also implementing
the Swayamsidha programme – an integrated
scheme for the empowerment of women at a total
cost of Rs. 116.30 Crores. Core to this programme
will be the establishment of women’s self-help groups
which will empower women to have increased access
to all kinds of resources that they are denied, in
addition to increasing their awareness and skills. This
programme will benefit about 9,30,000 women with
the setting up of 53,000 self-help groups, 26,500
village societies and 650 block societies.
Respect all women.
Treat them good.
Educate them.
State providing for the welfare of women.
Raising awareness of women’s rights.
Facilitating access to the social, legal &
political frameworks
Encourage women for
different good works.
Abolish Foeticide concept.
