I have a unique perspective.
My journey.
Born in Guyana, South America to illiterate parents, I learned
the meaning of duty and hard work. Working in the
sugarcane fields as a young boy, I dreamed of what I wanted
to become and the life I desired to have. Through self-
discipline, determination, and dedication to excellence, I
earned scholarships to the University of the West Indies to
pursue a degree in Law and later to the University of Michigan
to study Industrial Engineering.
I worked in corporate
America for 32 years as
an engineer, plant
manager, and general
manager/CEO for
companies ranging in
revenue from $20 -
$100 million annually.
My career began at
Dover Corporation, an $8 billion industrial conglomerate. As
a General Manager within the De-Sta-Co Division, I
successfully rebuilt the organization from operating at a loss
to a 25% pre-tax profit. At De-Sta-Co, I created and
promoted a lean thinking culture, encouraging people to
strive for operational excellence. I later worked for Tower
Automotive, a $2 billion automotive supplier, as the General
Manager of the Tooling Business Unit. I hired, trained, and
developed a leadership team to promote a profit-thinking
culture. Together, we reduced operating costs by $15 million.
Ready for the next phase in my journey, I took a position as
General Manager/CEO for Midland Forge, a division of
Columbus McKinnon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Through
leadership development, global market penetration, and
inventory management, I increased revenues from $22
million to $40 million and improved profit from the 25%
range to 35% range.
Four years ago I decided to leave corporate America to fulfill
my dream of becoming a business owner. I feel most
energized and accomplished when I am educating and
helping others reach their potential. My passion and skill for
people development, combined with my ability to
successfully rebuild companies, led to my decision to become
a business coach.
I have coached and trained several business owners,
executives, and management teams. We focus on self
awareness/self development, leadership skills, and business
acumen. As your business coach, I work with you to help you
cultivate your own talents and expand your success.
My curriculums and practices are based on both text book
theories and philosophies and proven methodologies that I
have practiced and experienced myself. I am authentic,
passionate, and focused. As my business coaching theory
states, if you fail, I fail.

Collective “team smart” is more powerful and effective than “individual smart” working separately. I work with team leaders to
help them understand their role as leaders and overcome absence of trust, fear of conflict, and lack of commitment and
cohesion. A team does not happen by itself; you have to work at it. We will explore personality types and preferences to
understand how people interact and communicate. Through team building activities and conflict resolution exercises we will

Many business owners become too involved in day-to-day operations and lack time or know-how to both manage and drive
their companies forward. Traditionally, a coach motivates, teaches, and holds his or her trainees accountable to overcome their
challenges to attain their dreams and objectives. A business coach does the same for business owners. As your coach, I am

BizSavvy: Business Acumen: BizSavvy teaches business fundamentals, including: financial management,
leadership and change management, marketing and sales, and operations. Students will learn how organizations are
comprised and how day-to-day activities of various departments work together to impact the company. Employees will gain
the knowledge and resources to make smarter/better decisions and understand the implications of their decisions. Educating

The Supervisory Workshop: The Discipline of Execution: The
Supervisory Workshop is designed to teach effective managerial skills. Leaders will learn how to
become influential individuals and to engage, empower, and motivate employees to achieve greater
