1. Food Chain Story

2. Once there was a tall
apple tree in a field. An
apple tree is a
producer. A producer
uses the sun as a food
source. But anyway a
deer comes to the tree
every day to eat the
apples from the tree.
The deer eats the
apples because deer
are herbivores. They
only eat plants.

3. But one day a coyote
saw the deer and
attacked and ate it.
After the coyote was
done eating he left
some bones and the
carcass. The coyote
ate the deer because
the coyote is a
carnivore. They only
eat meat.

4. But then a bear
came along and ate
the coyote and also
ate some apples on
the ground. The
bear ate the coyote
and the apples
because a bear is
an omnivore. They
eat both plants and
meat.

5. Next a turkey buzzard
came along and ate the
leftover carcasses of
them, but left the bones.
The turkey buzzard ate
the leftover carcass,
because it is a scavenger.
They can’t hunt for food
so they eat leftovers.

6. Finally a mushroom
grew beside the leftover
bones and decomposed
them into the ground. A
mushroom is a
decomposer so it
decomposes leftover
animals into the ground.

7. And then the cycle repeats
