2. One day there was a patch of
grass. The grass is a
producer. The grass does a
thing called photosynthesis.
The grass is a producer
because it makes its own food
and does not eat meat or
plants.
3. A horse wandered onto the land. Yummy
grass, then the horse took a big bite out of
the grass. The horse is a herbivore. It only
eats plants and no meat. It has flat teeth.
4. Thump! Thump! The noise got closer to the horse. Thump! Thump! What could it
be? Pow! Out from nowhere came a sly wolf. Wolves are carnivores so you have
to be careful. A carnivore is an animal who only eats meat. They have sharp teeth
that can tear meat apart. Boom! The horse is dead. The wolf killed the horse and
is now eating it.
5. That is not all. There
are also omnivore like
this bear. This bear
eats berries and fish.
So it's an omnivore.
Omnivores are
animals who eat other
animals and plant.
Ohh the bear is
headed towards the
wolf and boom the
wolf is gone. And now
the bear is eating the
wolf and some
berries.
6. Now the bear after a
long life died. Wait?
Whats happening? A
racoon! Get him! A
racoon is a
scavenger. He looks
for dead animals to
eat without doing all
the work.
7. Now a mushroom is here.
Mushrooms are decomposers. They
decompose their food.And slowly the
bear is gone.
8. Ohh look a flower. Flowers are
producers. Ok. Ok. You get the
point. And the cycle repeats.
The producer,the herbivore,the
carnivore,the scavenger,and the
decomposer.
