world selling 395 million copies a day. The late
2000s-early 2010s global recession, combined with
the rapid growth of web-based alternatives,
caused a serious decline in advertising and
circulation, as many papers closed or sharply

• The International New York Times is an English
language international newspaper. It combines the
resources of its own correspondents with those of
The New York Times and is published at 38 sites
throughout the world, for sale in more than 160
countries and territories.

the sector
• Camden news journal-The Camden New Journal is
a free, independent newspaper that covers the
London Borough of Camden. It was born out of a
strike in the 1980s supported by campaigning
journalist Paul Foot, Holborn and St Pancras MP
Frank Dobson and the paper's editor Eric Gordon. It
carries significant influence locally due to its high
news content, investigations and high readership.

Newspapers, a subsidiary of Northern & Shell (itself
wholly owned by Richard Desmond).

8. What’s been the impact of
music
• The press are worried because people are not
buying newspaper and are going online and
getting all the information, this bad as they people
are getting all the information for free and not
buying the newspaper, leading the press loosing
money.

• The press is linked to photography and photo
imaging, most newspapers have pictures on their
adverts and most newspaper article have pictures
to support their evidence.
