UAPVP launched many schemes available for different segments of the society including EWS, LIG, MIG, BPL and HIG categories.
UPAVP the development agency of Uttar Pradesh know as Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad is going to implement the government housing mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
About 20,000 houses will be constructed in the state.
On the construction of housing units, the UPAVP will spend about Rs. 3,000 Crore and the implementation work will be started once it get the approval from the government.
The comprehensive plan for Fiscal year 2017-18 has been prepared by the agency and the houses units in these projects will be constructed under UP government Vrindavan & Awadh Vihar Yojana.
Under PMAY UP, about 2,000 houses have been registered by the government and creating further plan for the scheme, the UPAVP is planning to open the registrations for additional 3,000 houses.

3. • massive Low cost Housing program to ensure pucca house to every one before
nation completes 75 years of Independence
• To innovatively designed scheme that dovetails various existing programs and
also encourages the housing sector by appropriate policy interventions and credit
availability including interest subventions, where necessary.
• To ensure that houses are equipped with the basic facilities of toilet, piped water
supply, electricity and proper Access.
• Prioritize all our resources towards this goal.

6. A comprehensive approach is adopted to cover all urban poor with flexibility to use one of the
options:
Slum Rehabilitation:
Slum rehabilitation grant of Rs. 1 lakh per house on an average for all eligible slum dwellers in
all such project.
Promotion of Affordable Housing through credit linked subsidy:
The interest rate subvention at 6.5% for both EWS/LIG categories
Affordable Housing in Partnership with Public & Private sectors:
Central assistance at Rs. 1.5 Lakh per EWS house in projects where 35% of the houses are
mandatorily for EWS
Subsidy for beneficiary-led individual house construction or enhancement :
Rs. 1.5 lakh per house for EWS category in slums or otherwise if States/cities make a project.

7. PMAY envisages construction of 2 Crore houses with basic amenities. Beneficiary defined as
a family comprising husband, wife and unmarried children.
Beneficiary should not have any pucca house anywhere in India to be eligible to receive
support under the mission.
• EWS category defined as a family with income up to Rs. 3 lakh and LIG from Rs. 3-6 lakh.
Size of EWS house - 30 Sq. M., States to have flexibility but Central assistance fixed.
• Aadhaar Card/Bank Account Number/PAN Number (if available) required from beneficiary
or a certificate of house ownership from Revenue Authority of beneficiary’s native district.
• Encouraging women empowerment. (House acquired by the name of women head or male
head with joint name of wife).

10. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna - Gramin
LAUNCHED ON 1 APRIL, 2016
• Providing assistance for construction of 1.00 crore houses in rural areas over the
period of 3 years from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
• Enhancing the unit assistance to Rs. 1,20,000 in plain areas and to Rs. 1,30,000 in
hilly states/difficult areas /IAP districts, which were earlier 70,000 and 75000
respectively.
• Meeting the additional financial by borrowing through National Bank for
Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to be amortized through
budgetary allocations after 2022.
• Setting up of National Technical Support Agency at national level to provide
technical support in achieving the target set under the project.

Implementation strategy and targets:-
• Identification of beneficiaries eligible, using information from Socio Economic
and Caste Census (SECC) ensuring total transparency and objectivity.
• The cost of unit assistance to be shared between Central and State Governments
in the ratio 60:40 in plain areas and 90:10 for North Eastern and hilly states.
• Annual list of beneficiaries will be identified from the total list through
participatory process by the Gram Sabha.
• Funds will be transferred electronically directly to the account of the beneficiary.

12. • Inspection and uploading of geo referenced photographs will be done though a mobile app.
• The beneficiary is entitled to 90 days of unskilled labor from MGNREGA.
• Locally appropriate house designs, incorporating features to address the natural
calamities common to the region will be made available to beneficiaries.
• Mason Training program to address the shortage
• To meet the additional requirement of building materials, manufacture of bricks using
cement stabilized earth or fly ash will be taken up under MGNREGA.
• The beneficiary would be facilitated to avail loan of up to Rs.70,000/- for construction of
the house which is optional.
• The unit size is to be enhanced from the existing 20 sq.m to up to 25 sq.m including a
dedicated area for hygienic cooking.

14. • Initally ‘Housing for All by 2022’, offered beneficiaries an interest subsidy
at the rate of 6.5 per cent for a loan amount of up to Rs 6 lakh.
• Two new middle income categories have been created under the PMAY in
urban areas. Loans of up to Rs 9 lakh taken in 2017, will receive interest
subvention of 4 per cent.
• Loans of up to Rs 12 lakh taken in 2017, will receive interest subvention of 3
per cent.
• For the rural areas, “Loans of up to Rs 2 lakh taken in 2017, for new housing,
or extension of housing in rural areas, will receive an interest subvention of 3
per cent.”

• To create adequate rental housing stock by promoting Social Rental Housing
(SRH) with special focus on affordability of vulnerable groups and urban
poor.
To promote Shelter facilities for -
