As the opportunity to attend the Santa Cruz County Office of Education's Summer Arts Institute approached midway in the 2011-12 school year, I realized it was time to redefine myself as a Teaching Artist, where for almost twenty years I've been identified as a technologist. I'd always worked on the Arts Education Alliance at the County level--I was a founding member in the early 1990's--and now it's become essential to bring this work forward.
