3. Room Ports
Rooms and Suites will vary in the
number of ports they have per space.
Each port will be labeled to help ITS
solve any problems.
The green port is for a phone line. UNE
has deactivated the phone lines in the
residence halls but a work order can be
submitted should a resident need it.
The orange ports are for local internet
connection. The university also has
wireless via the “student-network”.
Basic cable is provided in each room.
4. Submitting an ITS Work Order

First, go to
my.une.edu
and select
the ITS Portal

Next, click
the IT Help
Desk
Service
option.

Follow the directions on the screen. Directions are available.
7. Submitting an ITS Work Order

This will be the next screen to appear.
Select the “Submit New Ticket” button on the left hand navigation menu.
This screen also allows you to see any Active Tickets and the options on the navigation
menu can provide information on all the work orders you’ve submitted.
8. Submitting an ITS Work Order

Fill out the appropriate information and click “Submit Ticket in the upper right hand
corner.
Tips and Hints:
- In the “Room” Box, you won’t need to type a room number. It will give you an error
message.
- Include the Building and Room Number in the “Short Description”
- Provide as much information as possible in the “Description” Box
9. ITS Help Desk and the UNE Phone
System
• The ITS Help Desk is also available to submit
work orders.
– These calls go to a service provider outside of UNE.
– They take the information and then relay it back to
UNE’s ITS staff.

• UNE upgraded it’s phone system in May 2013. A
PDF with directions will be attached to this module
for you to be able to set up your RA Room Phone
voicemail box.
10. Other Helpful/Useful Items on the ITS
Portal
• Did you know that you can download Free Anti-Virus
Software?
• Is a resident having issues connecting their computer to
the network or through wireless?
• Need training on using Microsoft Outlook?
• If you go to the ITS Portal, they will have answers to all
of these things and more should your residents have any
technology issues.
